About Me

  1. It's not through PayPal. It's through their bank, which Paypal has no control over. The most they can do is remove the $20 chargeback fee. A good way to distinguish if it's a chargeback vs a dispute is that a fee is involved with a chargeback. A dispute is handled through PayPal and doesn't involve fees.
  2. Is there no way to file a complaint with PayPal over this person doing so many chargebacks? It should be illegal to use their site this way and reprimands to users who abuse their system.
  3. This is a big old “depends” I think. I do jump around on mine, because if I worked on the same thing for months, I think I’d die of boredom. I do make it clear to clients that they will see other WIPs being posted alongside theirs, and there may be occasional weeks where they may not see theirs posted. That said, if you’re doing something small that can be reasonably completed in a weekend, no. Do your queue in order. Also, don’t let your queue get to 59 items. Good grief.
  4. I don't understand why he keeps saying "I need to make an account". There is no "account" with Zelle. The major US banks all came together and decided to make Zelle their bank-to-bank transfer system. It's right here in my WF account, no Zelle account necessary. This whole fiasco is incredibly fishy.
  5. The only TOS I have when commissioning other people, is that they have 90 days to complete the work and get it to me, or I will process a refund through paypal. There is no reason at ALL as to why someone cannot get a piece done in 3 months. If you as a commissioner have taken on so much work that your queue is over 3 months long, you are already in for trouble.
  6. Update: The artist finally got back to me and is going to be issuing a partial refund. Once the refund goes through this can be marked as resolved.
  7. Thank you for the beware on this. It seems a lot that this happens with artist and then when seeking refunds for work, they give little to no warning about what's happening/going on in terms of that refund.
  8. I love how she tried to pay it off with a viral currency. And if I remember 115L is about $1.15 right?
  9. Theyre tax write offs, so you never really 'lose' that money anyways. I have all my fees and time accounted for in my pricing, but its a warning to the OP, because paypal has shut down more accounts for charging customers fees than they have for NSFW.
  10. Just do what everyone else does and build it into your pricing scheme. Paypal also bans people from paying for NSFW stuff but that's stops exactly 0 people lol.
  11. Ah thank you! I apologize I was trying to read through the rules on mobile at work LOL but I appreciate it a lot and if I make a post again I will be sure to read much more carefully!
  12. Update as of July 3rd - Lui-Ra has accepted my request to message on Discord. I have sent them an upfront message stating that I would like a refund. They have yet to respond. //I blurred out my server list and recent dms for privacy reasons.
  13. Please don't! We only accept character theft posts if it is the exact same character, and aren't here to judge how similar characters are to each other.
  14. They're very active on all accounts linked on their DA. Even if they had a problem with you using twink that's no excuse to steal your money and block you.
  15. That's what I was thinking, but like you said, they didn't really make it clear that it was the issue. if it is, then i'd gladly not use it (i have no problem with the term, and the character is lgbt anyway so it's not really inaccurate), but the ghosting is really shady still. i've yet to see any other issues with the artist, so it's really hard to determine.
  16. Definitely not good for them to just disappear on you after payment, it seems so odd considering their initial conversation with you seemed pretty standard. Though, one thing I noticed is their response to you describing your character's body type -- after you described him as a twink, they seemed to take issue? The way they responded with "oh... I see...." followed by complete silence makes me believe they had some issue with the term for some reason? If it were the case I'd expect them to mention it makes them uncomfortable though? Not just straight up ghost you as a paying client - if for some reason they didn't want to work with you they should have said so and refunded, not just disappear with your money.
  17. I completely agree with armina. Also i would like to point out in the closed dispute image... It says you requested the full amount back? Even though it got closed if a full refund was requested after the artwork completed even with minor problems is not okay. Now if this isnt the case with it being a full refund... please disregard this comment about it. In my opinion the mistake was minor and not worth threatening a chargeback over. Honestly i wouldnt work with either of you after this.
  18. I would file a dispute since she's ignoring you and not giving any updates after.
  19. I'd like to confirm that the artist has now in-fact sent over the refund. The following image provided proof that they have. This Artist Beware report can be closed/resolved if the Moderation team feels like this is a acceptable time to do so. Thank you to those in the Mod team who worked with me on all this. Thanks to you the artist reached out to me and I got the money I had sent them back. I appreciate your help.
  20. I reread the dates and I must say you're a very patient person.
  21. thanks for your time and advice. 🙂 I did, but still held back just incase the commissioner does return. But times up now. I also considered on maybe selling prints on DA trying to make up my loss that way, too.
  22. The artist has agreed to refund the amount of $74.42 once they get paid this coming Friday. As a form of compromise, I agreed to ask that this report be removed once they do. Once I confirm that the artist has sent the refund over, I will follow up with a staff member here and ask that they remove this report. Unless the staff wish to keep the report up for record keeping, that's what I ask of them. The following images are to document this resolution of this agreement of a outcome.
  23. I ended up commissioning based on word of mouth and seeing his turn out. Just seems that I may have been a bit to premature in that decision, unfortunately so.
  24. Should i keep sending Notes in hopes that i get a reply or just leave it as is and accept my loss?
  25. They seem to have emptied their FA gallery as well, to hide I can only assume. Their DA; https://www.deviantart.com/fantasystaples And Toyhou.se; https://toyhou.se/fantasystaples
