No offense, just expressing my own experiences. I have seen some artists have issues and act more important than their customers.

Wow. I'm actually sad to see that Psy101 is posted here. I love his art and wanted to get a commission one day, but now I'm just turn off of the idea.
-
Oh I know. But I'm glad they tried to comment here and say the same thing without knowing the admins can see their email. Only proves this is all lies.

Given how often the "My brother/sister/friend did it!"-excuse is used when appealing bans on servers, I call nonsense on that and he's just trying to avoid taking responsibilty for his behaviour.

So sorry you had to deal with that. Kuro has been in a couple discord servers I have been in and typically causes nothing but drama. Glad you were able to refund him before any charge-backs were done against you!

They got mad because... you gave them their money back. Regardless of the reason, thats not something to be mad about? Just say "Oh, okay. Thank you anyway.", and move on. Good lord, the hostility is strong. ? Im so sorry you had to deal with this.

Wow, it truly takes an evil mastermind to come up with that. : D No big deal though, just let them know that your Messager's ToS states that anyone who ever messaged you agreed to donate a kidney and a firstborn child to you. Even if they haven't taken proper care of their kidneys, it should at least cover the cost of the time you've wasted on them.

Oh yeah I'll definitely be watermarking all WIPs from now on; I was really naïve when I first started taking commissions, and I thought that if I was friendly to commissioners, they would be friendly back. It never occurred to me that I could be seriously taken advantage of; I've had a few somewhat rough experiences, but this one has definitely been the worst. If any of you guys don't watermark WIPs or don't charge at least partially upfront, you'll be taken advantage of; please learn from my mistakes, guys ^^;

A congratulations are in order to this would be client for receiving a rare, preemptive FA block from me. Absolutely ludicrous and thank you for coming forward about this.

"breach of contract" you cant breach a contract that you never signed. in fact this person making you sketch work and not paying for it is closer to breaching a contract than you are.

Oof exactly I was so confused by all that they were saying I had to ask around in a bunch of chats I was in just to make sure I was correct; it was so ridiculous that I just needed to double check XD I'll definitely try to keep an eye out if that sketch ends up anywhere; I don't know his usernames for any other art websites so it's unlikely I'll find anything unfortunately, but I'm just happy it was only a sketch and not a full drawing. If anything further happens, I'll definitely post an update.

Colored sketch received. All done! Still, abnormally long wait and took a bunch of prodding with excuses...I'd tread with caution if you consider art from Ryun unless it's in a sketch stream.

Another thing that bothers me after re-reading this beware is in the rude sounding e-mail she says she has no particular order in which she works on things, just what inspires her at the moment. I don't think that's a good way to do business and it's not very reassuring to people in her huge queue (59 commissions, my god!!) to have her bouncing around.

Out of the Blue Creations / Finley the Turncoat
Mortymaxwell commented on Alex Wright's record in Artist Bewares
Then he should be showing you receipts to prove that he bought fur. And if you don't want to be his client anymore, he should allow you to drop the commission -- not insist he's going to make the suit, anyway, because he spent money. I wouldn't want to do business with him.- 36 comments

This is my first post on this site so i'm not sure if I did this right. A while back I discovered that my stickers have been traced. I went to the artist to confirm that they did indeed trace here is the conversation I don't see it right to sell traced art to someone It isn't fair to the artist who spent time making the art or the original commissioner who bought the art. I can't do anything about it here so I'll just post this here so someone will see this and think twice about this person.

I wonder if that's the same user I had issues with last year, I don't remember the person's name. They made stickers for a client of mine. They took the reference I did of the character and pasted parts of it onto a template. ?

"You should have reminded me earlier" It is never the client's job to manage the artist they paid. Ever. The only reason an artist should be waiting on a client is if there is a payment delay or awaiting clarification/direction. Never to be told to keep doing what they should be. If possible, file a chargeback for your money and wipe your hands of this experience.

She has me blocked on everything, except IG. I've managed to not say anything and just see what happens. I can't even ask her if she's okay or for updates or refunds. She just doesn't care. I am permanently out a grand... It's crushing.
-
Holy. Heck. I'm so sorry anyone has had to endure abuse from this man, but I commend you all for sharing your stories. I will definitely be avoiding them, and I greatly appreciate the warnings.
-
I used to commission her frequently until the excuses started piling up the last commission I had gotten from her, and I was really nervous seeing my work being completed the day after it was commissioned before anyone on her backlog's. It's not fair to those who have been waiting years for a refund or something, a WIP even. You need to demand a refund. Don't ask for it. State that you've been waiting long enough. This is not acceptable.

Yeah; ended up having to note them again (which I wish I could have avoided cause it just made me more irritated). At least it's settled now and i can go back to life again without that headache = .=;

So she sent the refund without even confirming you're email, and it wasnt yours? Did you end up actually getting the refund in hand?
