About Me

  1. MOD NOTE: This beware started off just directed at Bae Bunny, but after Bae Bunny commented their piece in the replies, with additional proof that was left out, it was updated to include the original poster, Shizimiru Okame/Comico. I will include bae Bunny's comment and proof UNDER the original post. Originally posted on May. 2nd, 2013 by Shizimiru Okame Mod Note 2: OPs FA links with their references are defunct. TLDR: Bae bunny of fa made mistakes on a 100 dollar commission for 5 icons, 20 a piece. Makes many mistakes after agreeing to edits, then refuses the edits after a while demanding 75 usd, or they will dispute the transaction. WHO: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/baebunny WHERE: Furaffinity.net WHAT: 5 icons for 100.00 usd, Made mistakes and refuses to continue editing unless they receive an addtional 75.00usd WHEN: A few months ago to current day. commission dissussions: (they got the 5 customs) Artist agrees to make edits: Bae claims before argument that they are raising prices here on out: Bae claims to dispute the payment unless paied: My responce after being told I would have to pay more or be disputed: My self expaining some edits that are needed to be done: My refernaces: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10133553 (WARNING MAY BE NSFW) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10241628 http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10241557 as you can see these references are very detailed so the mistakes are on the Bae's not mine. One of the icons where the frames are botched: in this icon you see the horn is messed up, and they refused to fix this icon as well as the other 3. this is the only icon done correctly but edits still needed to be made at first, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10491255/ you can see here that he requires the reffernaces so he can evuate his prices: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8786918/ Explain: He's done this work a lot they should have known better then to take this commission for that price. Bae knew the difficulty of this project and still took it on, why should I have to pay 75.00 usd for something they messed up? This sounds kinda fishy and scam like to get more money out me. Take for example you have a mechanic fix your car, and they mess up, would you pay them more to fix it? this could have been avoided if the user had a tos stating that after a certain amount of edits the commissioner would then pay edit fee's, this user does not have a TOS that I can find. There are more notes that aren't shown due to the fact it's the same argument over and over, I paid you for this, why won't you finish your job? Icons they are very personable to the people getting them, and at 20 apiece you expect them to be very well done. after being on a waiting list for months, they are contacted a few weeks ago and they paid for the work and now this... The artist has not replied in about 24 hours, but has read the notes sent by the user. What do? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bae Bunny's reply, posted on May. 12th, 2013 (This was posted on an account linked to the now defunct Google Plus.) Aaaaaaaand in this corner, BAE BUNNY! :V This is weird on my part because I never thought that I was going to be involved here! Had to create a brand new account even. If this isn't how you deal with an issue, sorry! Its my first time ; o ; Be gentle~ Thanks guys for bringing this to my attention and to anyone that has been on my side. I do think its important to hear both sides of the story, so here I am! Words from the horse's mouth :U So here's the scoop: STEP 1: "I -totally- should have handled myself better" I was probably out of line asking for $75 to make edits, and I shouldn't have been so strict, but take a look at my list of notes from her: This isn't just garble, this is a back and forth of edits upon edits upon edits with her. I really couldn't take it anymore! With the way things were going I could have animated for her indefinitely if she wanted. It was apparent after a while that nothing was going to be perfect and I wasn't going to be able to move on, so I abruptly quit. For the issue on not having a TOS, I actually haven't had a negative issue like this up until now! Everyone I've made stuff for was happy as far as I knew, so I never needed one :I This felt like an issue going, "No TOS? Mmm...exploit!" Since after all of this I've been constructing one, but as a result, icons are going to be more related to "Time Invested" rather than per icon, which brings me to... STEP 2: "Bae Gives into the Demands!" I didn't want to spend unpaid time to continue to animate, but I was threatened on getting an AB Page otherwise, as her note shows above. So before I went to bed, I got this note: So "fix the icons and I won't post an AB page," eh? What else could I do! I caved in and did the edits for free that following morning at 11AM, as shown here: I include a highlight of the things that needed to be edited so it was apparent I knew what had to be fixed. She responds later saying this: Then posts them to her account as shown here: So with me being finished animating and her posting the icons, I would have assumed I met my end of the bargain and wouldn't get the AB page! :V ... STEP 3: "I got a bad feeling about this~" I know she says she was waiting for these icons for months, but she only contacted me on April 16th asking if she could pay now for the icons, even though her spot wasn't up on my que yet. I never charge ahead of time, but she was being persistent: She kept wanting me to give a discount for a bundle deal and wasn't getting the hint, so I sent this note: I want to point out that I warned her I work on customs and charge for the time spent, rather than a flat rate per icon. The more complicated/longer they take to animated, I charge more, ranging from $15 - $30. So when someone sends me $20 for each icon and then has a laundry list of big icons as shown in her notes above...I -really- felt like I was getting ripped off . ~ . So I responded with some suggestions on changes, and I get this back: Just pointing out that she says "do what ya think is right here, i trust you x3" and she was going to pay me $10+ for the more complicated one. If I had known in the end how difficult she was to work with, I wouldn't have taken her request. In the end, she got her finished icons with the edits for free! TL;DR ~In a conclusion~ 1. I shouldn't have freaked out 2. I've created a TOS for the future and raised the prices of my icons to accommodate for time spent on each icon rather than a flat rate 3. I made the edits for her and she said "thanks" and posted them to FA 4. I was threatened, gave into demands, and was STILL posted on Artist Beware anyway! 5. Comico was Suspended from FurAffinity for harrasment, so I feel like she is doing this because she's still mad 6. Issue was resolved May 2nd @ 2:34PM Thanks for reading my side anyway u 3 u ~ Make your own opinions for yourself; this is just how I saw things from my perspective. Just let me know if you need to know anything else! ~Bae
  2. Mod Note: This artist has completed all their outstanding commissions. Posted on Mar. 28th, 2013 by lorenafa WHO: Pirate-Cashoo (FA) WHERE: www. furaffinity.net/user/Pirate-Cashoo Pirate-cashoo.deviantart.com http://www.hentai-foundry.com/user/zombiepirate/profile http://pirate-cashoo.tumblr.com/ WHAT: Couple Icons. WHEN: October 15th, 2012 - Ongoing. PROOF: PAYMENT:: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/paypal_pdf.png NOTES: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/oct15.png https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/oct25-response.png https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/nov12.png https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/dec17th.png https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53660315/PC_LJ/feb23.png DETAILS/EXPLANATION: Disclaimer: Okay, first of all I -really- hate to do this because I’ve read from her updates that she’s been going through a hard time and I really don’t do confrontation. That said I feel like I need to warn potential buyers again (she’s been doing this a lot.) about Pirate-Cashoo/Cachet. All I would like to do is get in touch with her and get what I paid for or to have her reimburse me as 60 dollars is a lot of money to me and I could put it elsewhere or towards another artist who actually wants to do the artwork I‘d asked for. Now: On October 15th, 2012 I decided to get myself and my boyfriend at the time a set of icons from her as a gift, I have a screen cap of how that went above. I’m keeping anyone who is not me or Cashoo anonymous as I am the person with the problem here, and not the others involved so the grey text is only usernames/references that are not mine. Just so we’re clear. As you can read for yourself from the links, She seemed a little hesitant but told me that the wait would be a few months as she had a pretty big queue and so forth. I didn't mind waiting as I’d purchased another set of icons during the duration of the time, and as an artist myself I understand how art takes time and artists are not robots etc. I contacted her again on October 25th because the person I had originally wanted the icons with and I had split ways and after communicating with him I switched the person I wanted to get the icons with and she okayed it with me. Told me she had not started them yet which did not really surprise me as she’d mentioned prior until November she would be pretty busy. So I was okay with that response, and didn't contact her back until November 12th. I hadn't thought about when she told me she’d start them and had forgotten she had family plans. Again just being friendly and curious about them I shot her another note. I can’t unfortunately find the message she responded to me about but it was something along the lines of “Sorry I haven’t started them yet, my family is down…” It was all good, and I told her to have a good time with the family and again not to rush. I then contacted her in December as I was curious why she hadn't gotten a sketch to me, but figured it was Life issues. Told her I wouldn't mind seeing a sketch before she completed a final product as I was curious if she had made any progress on the icons. She in this time started to just entirely not read or ignore my notes, and I have not been able to anchor her down for a response since then. She did however -read- this note, so there is that. My last note I left on February 23rd 2013. I actually noted her on deviantART account prior to FurAffinity (i copied and pasted the message directly from the note i sent on deviantART) but she didn't respond to either or read the note on FurAffinity (I have no idea if you can check who reads what on deviantART as I don't use it aside from a place holder.) I’m not making this to get people mad towards Pirate-Cashoo, but I will say that I'm severely disappointed in her business management skills and as an artist who does this as a full time job I don’t understand her complete avoidance or lack of a schedule. I love her artwork but I feel like I need to warn others about her business practices, I'm very disappointed. I wanted to let you guys know that if I were you to watch out and maybe hold off on getting art from her. She's a friendly artist to communicate with but I'm kind of tired of lack of updates/getting a bunch of excuses from her. I hope that she reads this and gets at the very least in touch with me so either discuss a refund or give me a concise deadline. ~Lorena.
  3. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/655973.html WHO: Sweetnightmare - Operator of Business Scixzor - Husband and Business partner. He handles customer service tickets when silver is "overwhelmed" WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sweetnightmare WHAT: A partial fursuit originally to be finished on Dec 25th as the deadline. (Later extended, as will explain.) WHEN: Aug 2012 - Feb 2013 Proof/Explain: - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4344146/ - FurAffinity Admins asked to take down the journal, here is a screenshot of it. http://imgur.com/EowoH5R I commissioned sweetnightmare in Aug of 2012 to create a fursuit of my fursona Inukaza. I paid up front, later upgrading to a full suit. When I first commissioned her, I made a request to be updated by photo every month. At first, she was willing, and sent updates. October was the last update I received. Afterwords, every half-month I would ask for a photo update, to which she would respond that they did not have a camera to take the update with. Contrary to that fact, they were still able to upload pictures with a camera that they acquired, yet still were able to come up with a excuse to not give progress photos. Oh wait. That's because they were hiding the fact that there was no process. Well, to make this factual, reasonable process. Today, Feb 15th, 2013, 5 months, 20 days from the day I ordered the product, I received a box full of supplies. To clarify, I asked her to send me the supplies, because it was getting absurd about how long I was waiting. The due date for this project was in December. What did I receive? What does almost 6 months of progress look like? 1. A few yards of black and brown fur. Not enough for full suit, maybe not even enough brown to create the rest of the partial. Once I check with the amazing person who might be finishing this suit for me, I'll update this. ( http://i.imgur.com/6JzTZRY.png ) 2. Foam Base ( http://imgur.com/a/Elifk ) <--- Actual photo. 2.A. Here is a progress photo she sent from Oct. 2012. Please compare. ( http://i.imgur.com/vNIAGZv.jpg) 3. White and Black sculpey, for teeth and mouth. 4. Slippers. (I can't tell where she got them from, decent.) 5. Foam for eyes, mouth, ears. 6. Cut-outs for paws. Not sewn in. 7. Some thread. (Here's her actual list of what she said she was sending me. She sent what she said she would. http://i.imgur.com/BYI5sNo.png). What's not included? 1. Polyfill, she said there was no room in the box to put it. I beg to differ, I personally could have fit it in there. However, I won't argue it, as it could be said to have been done to not crush the head base. 2. Foam for foot paws. At this point, it would have been nice to still offer a refund for those supplies or buy a bigger box, I was paying for shipping either way. 3. Completed fursuit. Seriously. (By this I mean it in a sarcastic way, I know I asked for the materials, however, I was led to be aware up until she told me what was in the package that the tail, footpaws, and more of the handpaws were done. So, recap. I got a foam base, and supplies to make a fursuit. Meaning, tail wasn't even started to be worked on. Handpaws only partially done, and head....well, you can see with the photos from above. You might be asking, why did I deal with this? She apparently has had tons of issues thought out the past few years. I want to, and I actually do, believe her. Of course, shit happens, sometimes you have to deal with what's thrown at you. Bad anxiety, home issues, relationship issues. (She her journals on her page to confirm and read up on the nature of it and make your own opinions). I felt bad, and I went along with it. However, throughout my contacts with her, I was constantly led to believe that this project would be done sooner. Here's some documentation. 10/03/2012: I asked what I can expect to be done by the next monthly update. ( http://i.imgur.com/SsuCNb9.png ) 10/23/2012: I asked how many commissions are ahead of mine, to get a gauge on how many she has. Just a FYI, at this point she has started selling her services every other week. She still is selling fursuits at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/JNQxy7h.png ) 10/29/2012: I was discussing upgrading to a full suit. I asked for a photo update for the month of November now, she said her cam was being derpy. ( http://i.imgur.com/J5xCdVT.png ) 11/05/2012: I asked her about a time frame to expect the photos. She mistakenly confused it for asking when the suit was done, and clarified her deadline. As well as promising to get my photo update. ( http://imgur.com/a/8qU6N ) 11/29/2012: I am getting really ticked at this point. I tell her that even though I'm her friend, it's stupid that this is becoming impossible to get updates. Her husband comes over on her skype to explain the situation. I made her aware that if she can not deliver updates, do not promise them. ( http://imgur.com/a/PhiZo ) This same day, she says she needs more time on the suit. ( http://imgur.com/QlqCQ3N ). 12/13/2012: Asked for a photo update. Never came. ( http://i.imgur.com/1E5IKad.png ). 12/26/2012: I asked for a update. No response. ( http://i.imgur.com/7LVnZha.png ). 1/02/2013: She offered a refund at this point when I confronted her about the updates, but with no sight of when I'd get it. At this point, I've heard stories from past commissioners who have stated that when they asked for a refund they didn't receive it til half a year later. I opted to keep on going with it. ( http://imgur.com/1CZcSfR ) This is where the lies start kicking in. She lied about the progress the suit was in. She states the tail and feet are done. Neither of which were started in reality. And the hand paws were further progressed than what they were in reality. ( http://i.imgur.com/6vahOk4.png ). 1/03/2013: Apparently there is now four suits in front of me. Remember back in Oct. 2012 when there were only three that were almost done? ( http://i.imgur.com/GphSFXV.png ). Late Jan/ Early Feb: She moved to a new house, as you can see by reading her new journals. Obviously and understandably, suit making was not the first thing on her mind. At this point I'm getting tired of asking for updates. 2/02/2013: I asked for another update. She said there were more suits in front of mine. Others were rushed orders. No shit, really, mine is a rush order by now. It's 2 months overdue at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/VLESINJ.png ) She requested me to send all updates to her husband, scixzor scixzor. All updates, notes, requests that I sent to him were read, and ignored. By ignored, I mean he did not send a response, including those that deliberately requested him to reply. ( http://i.imgur.com/68oVAog.png ) 2/05/2013: I asked her to just send me supplies for unfinished suit so I could finish it myself. I am still under the impression that everything is pretty much done. She still says that it would be done and shipped by the end of Feb, the absolute final due date. ( http://i.imgur.com/K33TUGA.png ) 2/06/2013: She sends a message saying she wants to send me the unfinished suit. ( http://i.imgur.com/JfsoxgJ.png ) I asked her to write a detailed invoice telling what she has done, and what needs to be done. Mostly for the reason of making this journal. It was a way for her to defend herself and for things to be factual to back up my claims. She didn't send it, saying she forgot. ( http://imgur.com/QcoJAL6 ) 2/08/2013: Items sent via UPS. I paid shipping. ( http://i.imgur.com/6Hw6ekt.png ). 2/15/2013: I received items, here is a video of me opening it and going though it. Please excuse the bad lighting, out lights our out in that area of our apartment. Also, NSFW language. This was the first time I saw those items. I was pissed. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMP5FpmFoKA ) OVERALL: I feel I was scammed. She's not a reliable fursuit maker. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend commissioning her. If you have already done so, make your own choice. If you want to take this to heart, I would make the choice to cancel your order. If you want more proof, send me a note with your questions and I'll be happy to provide you with more information. Additional Information: I canceled the commissioned after a financial hardship on 1/21/13, I asked to have it reinstated on 1/27/13. ( http://imgur.com/a/E3jbu ) She was completely fine with it, not giving me any reason to believe this was a issue. The original deadline was Dec 25th. Second deadline was Feb 1st. Third Deadline was March 1st. Each time extended because I asked if she needed more time, thinking she was almost done. ( http://imgur.com/a/1ANhI ) I said I wanted to take the stress off her and take the items. I still thought that the Tail, hand paws, and foot paws were completely done, and the head was ready to foam until after this happen when she clarified what would she be sending me.( http://i.imgur.com/baidQSA.png ) Aftermath of the journal: I received several messages asking for me to take down my review, I refused. She wanted to fix this by letting me return the materials I asked for and finishing it faster. However, the entire reason I asked for the materials, legitimately, was to send them to another suit maker to use them. There is no way this can be fixed, as this is a complaint about customer service and not the fact that I expected a completed suit when I asked for the materials. There was a strong smell of smoke on the suit, I didn't think much of it. However, it turns out the person I sent the materials to finish my suit is actually allergic, so take that to heed.
  4. Original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/646177.html WHO: Otterman89, Bradley WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/otterman89/ WHAT: Digital art, comic. WHEN: November 2nd 2012 - ongoing PROOF & EXPLAIN: In the LJ cut! I had hoped not to have to post here... but here we go! Otterman89 posted a thread on FAF looking for an artist to do a comic series for him. It appears that out of the people that posted their prices, mine were cheapest so I got a note from him on the mainsite even though I asked him to email. (I prefer email because Gmail keeps it threaded and I can open the entire convo at once.) His note, asking a few questions about what I will do, confirming price and asking if he can do it in spurts of a few pages at a time (while still getting the lower rate) since he doesn't like to spend a lot of money at once. ... At 20 pages, the project would be $200. My return note, answering said questions and showing him my comic process. He then sent me his already scripted out (very clearly and easy to follow) comic. It was indeed 20 pages and didn't have any content that was too weird for me. I give him a little more information and confirm that he wants me to do it. He chooses for a Saturday release when he gets pages. This wouldn't be EVERY Saturday I understood, but only when he gave me the go-ahead for more pages. I asked how many pages to do and he said a cover page and the first two pages. I asked again for his email address and said I would send the sketches of all three pages by Friday (Nov 9th) for his approval. He never did send me his email address, so on Nov 8th I send him a note containing a link to the sketches and ask a couple of questions as to the title of the comic and if he wants handwritten text or computer text. He appears happy so far, so I go ahead. We have a little back and forth about when he should post the comics on his gallery. I like to space it a little so that it can possibly increase the amount of people viewing it. Here I should have waited until he actually paid me before finishing the pages, but since I wanted to make good on my promised release date, I went ahead with them. I email him on the agreed date to let him know that the pages are ready and I will send them once I am paid. I still haven't heard from him by the next day so I send him a note with links to the finished pages. Shortly after I get a note saying that he can't pay me for a week because suddenly this other artist he wanted a commission from had an auction going and he decided to bid on it. Nevermind that the work he wanted from me was ready to go. In the interest of keeping peace, I just thanked him for letting me know and said I will be looking forward to next weekend. I did not post the finished pages or give him the pages. He only got to see low res, watermarked copies. Two hours later he mentions a change that he hadn't during the sketch stage. That the characters are actually supposed to be the same height. It hadn't occured to me to ask this, but I had gone through his gallery looking at other drawings of these two and they seemed to be of different heights so that is what I did. It was my mistake though. We agreed to change it for later pages, as in these ones it was only thee panels that showed the difference and not such a big deal. Two days later he changes his mind and asks me to fix it. I get it done. (not pictured in the screen shot is the note from me on Nov14 saying okay and his on the same day saying thanks.) I sent him a money request on the 17th. I didn't hear from him so on the 18th I sent a reminder note and on the 19th I resent a money request using the 'invoice' tab. On the 20th he responds and says he hasn't seen it. reminder, invoice screenie He pays the invoice on the 20th and apologises for the wait. Also says that he will be looking forward to this weekends pages. Emailed the sketches two days later as he indicated on the 20th he wanted more pages for the 24th. I don't seem to have his approval of the sketches saved, but I know he did. I didn't hear from him that weekend, so on the 26th I sent him a note with links to the low res watermarked files to prove they were ready. And an invoice which I dated for the 14th just in case. My mistake was probably saying "They are ready for you whenever you are ready to pay," as this is when the real trouble for me starts. As I was completely ignored until 4 days later when he sent me this note about how the game expansion he wants is on sale so he wants to buy it while he still can. I am miffed at this point, but send back an understanding note saying that my sister is into that game so I understand that he wants it and to keep me in the loop about what he is up to. He sends a note saying "Kk :)" then the next day tries to placate me (I guess) with this note. So the weekend of the 8th goes by and I get nothing from him. No update notes or payment or anything. In the time from when I sent him the invoice on the 26th up until the due date on the 14th, I sent him two reminders.. I am not sure of the days since I don't know if PayPal keeps a record of that. I was very annoyed at this point, so I sent him a note about it. He tries to tell me that he wasn't ignoring me (though he was) and gives me a tale about how he is addicted to art and everyone offers such great deals at this time of the year that he can't help himself. Also about how he should be getting more hours at work but isn't. Excuses... but then says twice that his goal is to pay everyone by Jan 1st 2013. ... Okay I will not get mad at him, because I would like to see this money. I reply and leave it at that. [Archiving Mod Note: Please note that we would not permit information such as this currently.] While all this time of him not paying me is going on, I see him on the FA forums making threads about getting more commissions so it is ticking me off that he has me and apparently a bunch of other artists to pay still and is STILL commissioning more art. Wanting a ref pic... Wanting some kind of fanart... Wanting a WoW pic... Wanting a Lion King pic... Wanting a 2ft plushie made... I restrained myself from posting in any of those threads. Keeping myself professional and not calling him out. On the 17th I got another note with another excuse as to why he couldn't pay me. This time I ignored him because I couldn't trust myself to stay polite. I decided to just wait and see if he would pay me by Jan 1st as his goal stated. Meanwhile, I check his FA page a little and see he is uploading an awful lot of art, although if any are gifts/freebies, I don't know. Forty-eight pictures between the day he commissioned me and today (Jan 2nd). None of them being the pages from me that he did pay for. However, one is a LK picture (he posted looking for one on Dec15th and this was uploaded Dec22nd) which makes me wonder why he could pay that artist who was commissioned after me but not me. Some of the other pictures may have been those other artists from December that he owed, but I have no way of knowing. So on Jan 2nd I sent him another note asking how the payment was coming along and he now promises by this weekend. I really shouldn't have let it drag out this long (although it is not nearly as long as most of the stories here), but I was afraid that if I rocked the boat, I wouldn't see anything at all... but that is what I am seeing now. I sure hope I see that money on the weekend. In either case, I decided several weeks ago that I will not be working with him further on this project but wanted to wait until he paid for the current batch of pages before telling him. I also wanted to hold off on the A_B post until he at least paid me, but I am afraid I won't so I chose to go forward with this post. Beware of Otterman89. Do not do anything (he typically only asks for two types of drawings... tongues tied together or private parts locked together) until he pays you... which I mean, that should go without saying already. Live and learn I suppose. ______ Update- While waiting for this entry to get approved the following has happened... I waited over the weekend and heard nothing from him. In the afternoon on Monday the 7th I sent him a note telling him that I can not work on his project any longer. This is what I already intended to tell him, even if he had paid me. He sends a note back one minute later saying that he was just about to send the money. Personally, I don't believe him, but I am firm about not working with him any longer... though I would still like to get the money. caps of that exchange After that, he asked for my PP address again and FINALLY paid me. So, I guess this is resolved. Now I just have to convince him that I won't do any more pages... at least that I won't do anything until the batch is paid for in advance. No sketches or anything.
  5. I’m glad it wasn’t too big a piece, and it’s the first time I’ve had anyone open a case against me on PayPal. I’m considering being really selective with what commissions I open on Instagram going forward, as I tend to get much worse experiences there than my core base on Twitter. I’m really worried they’ve done it before, because I’ve seen them on someone else’s blacklist while I was trying to resolve this (for unspecified reasons), and they mentioned they “really hate getting into these messes with artists”. I really hope they do learn from this experience and understand that this sort of behaviour isn’t acceptable 😕
  6. My beware is for the artist known as Superninfendo / Fen. As a friend, I allowed our friendship to be used against me. I'd tell her time and time again to take her time with my commissions; and that they were not top priority. Most of our conversation for updates and such happened in a discord server I am no longer apart of; so those conversations are lost to the void. What I do have/can provide are screenshots of certain commissions I never got the finished products of. In the screenshots I will be providing; I will show evidence of me commissioning Fen, paying Fen; and then getting a few responses [if I was lucky enough] or no response for days/weeks/months. I was naïve and thought our friendship meant that I wouldn't be ghosted/scammed, but I was very wrong with that assumption. All in all, I was scammed out of $324.41. In the screenshots provided I will show the back and forth I've had with the artist over the coarse of the year; where some commissions had been done; but a majority were paid for and then ghosted/ignored. Even when requesting a refund, I was promptly ignored and overlooked. Even now in present time; they claim they've refunded all commissions owed; but I have yet to see my refund. Instead, I was swiftly blocked by their art management account run by SuperNinfendo and Corpsekiit. At the very end I show 2 instances of contact for a refund; and the final one being only just a day or so ago; where I was promptly blocked after requesting either the art owed to me or a refund. Original Agreement in chronological order: Several Art pieces coursing over a year - YCH of my sona holding money - Animal Crossing Sign Edit + Tip - 4 Twitch Emotes - Fullbody Commission w/ BG [made in 3 payments] - 2 Twitch Emotes - Pride Art Piece - Sona w/ Scarf - Outfit Change for PNGTuber - Leggy Keychain - Poster for Mic_Feedback's 30th birthday big stream celebration Proofs of payment: Relevant Correspondence:
  7. So sad to see this. I had been following maw for a couple months and i loved their art, thought they were a nice person as well. this commission looks so rushed and it was dealt with so poorly on their end. the fact that people are being blocked for siding with the customer baffles me. I too had been blocked too. Not enough people on twitter are talking about this. it’s like some big accounts just get away with anything. I hope the person got their refund or a fix on the commission.
  8. Given the fact that both the bewaree and this random account with IP addresses in extremely close proximity to each other joined and commented at the same time on a post that's three months old, we are approving this comment with a big *: Styx, once again, you are welcome to share your side of what happened here calmly and professionally. Your initial comment was hidden because it was neither calm nor professional and laced with legal language that you do not appear to understand. (Posts are neither slander nor libel if they are true. There is no such thing as "public" use. The word you're looking for is "commercial".) If this is an attempt at a gotcha; it isn't.
  9. Update 12/12/21: It's been almost two months since lat POC with no updates. Below is the conversation we had on Oct 15th-20th, 2021 asking for updates, and was told the head still had to be sculpted (unless I wanted a wolf base to which I denied) as well as the airbrushing which will be done in one shot once the head is done. A few days ago I logged on to twitter to see that they went to MFF (Midwest Fur Fest) made nine partial suits to sell at con. The images were posted on twitter after MFF was over. Before that there was no contact saying that commission work will be halted while they work on stuff to sell at con. Their twitter was semi-inactive from June-December 10th (When the photos from MFF were posted) I contacted them again the other day asking if there is any updates on my suit and so far I haven't heard anything back.
  10. Hi yes this is me, excuse the slightly different spelling on my name since it was the one way I managed to register here (can provide proof if needed). I was sent the link by the poster themselves (thank you btw) and I came here not just to explain a few things but because I’d like to take responsibility for what happened, Im not gonna come here and and talk about how all of this is bc of how hard the pandemic and 2020 has been on me, I’m aware everyone’s struggling in a way or another, but between grieving, physical/mental health issues, and a few other issues that I’m not comfortable going into detail on, it definitely had a big impact on how things turned out, considering how the pandemic is also why borders closed down for a fairly long time, I appreciate the OP being as patient and understanding as they were, I can’t explain why I shut down the way I did, because I never have been one to have poor communication with customers, regardless of how forgetful I can be sometimes, it could’ve been stress or pressure of all the things I was/am dealing with but it wasn’t okay and it was wrong that I didn’t do more to make sure they were updated and that the package was sent out sooner. I fully acknowledge that mistake on my end, and I sincerely apologize that in a way I allowed for it to get to that point, it was never intentional but it happened and I hold myself accountable for it. I see a comment mentioning art delays and I’d like to take the chance to apologize for that as well, I took more than I could handle because at the time I assumed I’d be able to do everything as I usually did but I was wrong and I’m sorry that it was the people who I owed art to that had to suffer because of my lapse in judgement. As of now (from September 14th to be exact) I have been working on having everything shipped out, tracking provided to those who ask for it (I’m not in the US so its harder to get tracking for everyone after the prices were raised), I no longer do commissions or trades and I am fully focused on clearing this mess I have caused, by shipping what was done and backed up, working on the owed art and also offering refunds, which are sent if accepted, as of today (09/22/2021) I shipped this customer’s order and gave them a full refund for the amount paid, and tomorrow I will be once again dropping off more backed up orders. I apologize once again for the mess I have caused and I vow to never repeat this mistake, I will be personally contacting all those affected for a direct apology and offer compensation for the delay, thank you to those reading this and thank you for the wake up call, it was very much needed, have a wonderful day/night. - Hawk Proof of shipment/refund for this customer’s order here: [Image Removed to abide by A_B standards for PII]
  11. Here is the original agreement for a paw commission and a headshot commission. Proof: Part 2 of the Agreement: Also how you can see on the screenshot above the artist has received the payment, but here is proof of the transaction anyways: After everything was settled I checked out the artists queue to get some kind of idea how long I might have to wait on the commissions. And well I was very surprised that the artists list is really long... So I figured I give the artist a reasonable time period to work on them. So after two months of radio silence in the dms, I saw that the artist still took a lot of commissions, even thought their current list, which got even longer the last time I checked, wasn't even done yet. I thought I'm gonna message the artist again, cuz on their list they wrote that people can message them to get prioritized on their list. This went as follows: I received no response on the original message, even though the artist was tweeting and engaging the entire time on their social media accounts. After a week of no response I decided to message them again. Which is the second message on the screenshot above. When this message was ignored as well I set a deadline for the artist. Which is the third message you can see on the screenshot above. There was a shorter time period between the second and third message, because I already got a bit annoyed. Finally after another week I got an answer from the artist: First I was a bit sympathetic with them, because I get that mental stress can have a big impact on someones life and I explained why I was so persistent to them as well. But showing my sympathy was a mistake, because after the conversation above the artist started to make excuses for not working on commission more and more frequently on their public twitter account. Also communication with this artist stopped entirely in the dms. They never responded back. So I messaged them regarding a refund, after again almost 2 months of radio silence. I gave the artist more time than the deadline I set them originally. And I still haven't received an answer yet.
  12. Just saw this! I know Ginsuke, but unwatched them after a while after I did a big cleaning of my watches on dA after coming back from a big break. I've given them advice before but I'm quite disappointed seeing how they reacted, and they should definitely know better than this, especially being rude to a customer 😕 I'm glad you finally got the art. And I sure hope they updated their TOS to allow refunds. I purposely do not commission someone whom says no refunds.
  13. Sure, here's the text of what I posted on twitter: ME & MISCHIEF MAKERS — the conclusion. Thread below. On Aug 10 I received my suit from Mischief Makers after a long battle to get what I paid for. I had paid about $7000 via auction for a guaranteed mid 2020 deadline. My struggle to get any communication from MM is documented via artist beware. I posted my AB around December, so I’ll reference that for everything up till that point and move on from there. In Feb I got a big apology from MM and photos of the body suit being completed. I was happy with the progress and the promise that the head would be done shortly after. I was ghosted at that point until May when I started looking into litigation via the small claims court of San Diego. In my research I discovered the NCRC (mediation services) recommended by the court to prevent parties from going forward with litigation. I contacted the NCRC in early May and gave them the facts of my case. They contacted MM regarding the dispute, then when it came time to set up a call between the two of us, MM started ghosting them too. The caseworker tried multiple times to get back in contact. After a few weeks of ghosting, the case manager recommended I move forward with litigation and gave me some information. I filled out my JC Form # SC-100 and prepared to serve MM with the lawsuit. In the info packet given to me, I read I had to make one final demand and give 10 days before filing the papers. So I sent MM a final email in June letting them know I was demanding a refund to be delivered within ten days. I finally got a response to this email after months of ghosting and was asked to give one last chance as the suit was almost done. In the interest of having my case be stronger if I looked agreeable to accommodating the other party, I accepted the offer that asked for a late July deadline. Communication improved and I got more frequent updates as the suit neared finish. I received a tracking number in early August for the suit, though no pictures of the suit put together. I received the suit yesterday. There are some concerns I have that the suit might have been rushed in some parts —imperfections like an obvious seam in the face and the markings not being too clean—but overall I think the suit is cute and a good example of their work. I’m not sure I’m happy enough with it to justify the inflated auction price, and I imagine the suit would have been better and handled more carefully in different circumstances, but daydreaming about a world where the maker wasn’t substantially delayed by COVID isn’t a good use of my time, and I have an imperfect but satisfactory product in my hands now. I’m grateful to no longer have to deal with this situation, and that’s all I can really ask for. I consider this situation resolved.
  14. I hate to say this but I'm really not surprised to see a beware on DK finally go up. My last few orders with them, I had to frequently message them daily to have my items shipped a month or two after the claimed finish/ship date, and even then it would take about a week before the package would get dropped off once the tracking was provided. I'm surprised to see that they're working on suits but I'm disappointed, their work is gorgeous and this is such a blow. I hope to see them pick up the ball and get back into good business practices again. I hope you get your refund!
  15. I went back out of curiousity reading bewares only to come back to all of these comments and new screenshots and wow...This is just scary how big this whole thing actually is now and I hope art sites ban this artist and those assisting in their practices because this is unacceptable. FA needs to step in and get them off the site for good.
  16. I guess I'll be making one final comment on this particular Beware thread. I've been asking the artist (BrokenVocaloid, Cielkuro, whatever other names they might have) to refund the money I paid since before I made this beware. Every time I asked about it, the same excuse was always given; "I'll send the money this Thursday, I promise!" The last reply I have received from them was on March 21 2021. Since then, they have completely ignored me and have not responded to any further messages I have sent as well as their 'managers' or who/whatever they are (SebastianMorgenstern & Sakoda, both on FA). At this point, I've accepted that I won't ever get my money back no matter how many times I demand it. But at least at this very moment, I'm content in seeing that both accounts (BrokenVocaloid & Civeelkuro on FA) are currently suspended, hopefully for a long time. If not soon outright banned. To me, at this point, that would be worth far more than actually getting my money back. Sure, that's a pretty vindictive and spiteful way to look at it, but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one that feels that way. So yeah, this Beware is definitely NOT closed or resolved. I'm not admitting defeat; I'm simple resigned to the fact that I won't win.. Unless they get banned. I'll count that as a big win.
  17. It's beyond frustrating putting this up today and watching this artist open for another 30 commissions at abysmally low prices. Most of us on staff are artists ourselves, so we understand needing to make ends meet. If you're reading this, Brokenvocaloid, please stop piling on so many comms at the prices you're offering. They're less than what OP paid for a half body. You're just going end up in another hole. 30 commissions is a big task even for dedicated artists.
  18. Product (PWYW Commission) was offered as a public solicitation in a local State Telegram Chat. I was interested and contacted the seller via direct message on Telegram with inquiries. They explained that they were offering "Pay What you Want" (PWYW) commissions for sale: "just tell me what u want and a price and ill do it" to which I responded with for a $10 traditional commission request. After providing my character reference and commission details they gave me their paypal address and responded "ill get started when im on break", and "and i cant start until paid btw :)" to which I immediately paid $10 for. Up until now, all of this had occurred within one day on February 19, 2020. After I sent the payment, we had casual conversation about their fursuit and our dogs, which does not have much relevance here. My next communication with the seller was on March 10, 2020: I sent another Telegram DM "Hey there. Have you had a chance to work on the pwyw I had paid for a little bit ago?" to which they responded "no- i ned to make a trello. my commission list is so big atm xD. cuz i opened a ton of like $1 headshots". This was no big deal to me, it wasn't even a month since I purchased the commission and they seemed to have taken in a lot of other commissions at the time. On March 11, 2020 they reached out to me, "To all of my commissioners: its been super hard to keep on schedule so i have decided to make a trello 🙂 please send your ref(s) and what you purchased at your earliest convinience so i can add you to my trello, hope to satisfy you with my work soon - Connor~!" and I immediately resent my reference sheet along with the details that I paid for a $10 pwyw commission. On April 10, 2020 I sent the seller a screenshot of our previous telegram history of the initial 2/19/20 communication to which they replied "ty" On May 2, 2020 I replied to my 4/10/20 message asking "Any update on this? If you can't do it can you just refund me the $10?" to which they responded "i cant as that was my exs paypal. and he took it over" This was the last time that I spoke with the seller. To this day (Currently 06/08/21) I have gotten neither commission or a refund. In short, the seller made a solicitation in a public Telegram chat and I requested a $10 commission on 02/19/20 which I paid that day. Months went by with no commission despite me asking about it every once in awhile, and on 05/02/20 I requested a final update or a refund to which the seller said they could not do because the paypal that I sent the money to was not theirs and the actual owner locked them out. I never got a commission or a refund. Relevant images of the discussions I had with this seller and paypal transaction history are shown below. I censored out the seller's paypal address for the purpose of this posting.:
  19. damn, maybe what I say isn't worth a ton, but I feel like this is a big misunderstanding. were they a little harsh? yeah but maybe the language barrier so to speak had something to do with it
  20. Hello everyone, I would like to comment on the incident that I had a few days ago with a client. not more than 4 weeks ago a user in discord (and inkbunny, himself) asked me for a commission for a cartoon fight (characters hitting each other in a cloud of smoke) with some tv characters and 2 of my ocs, one sfw and nsfw. he sent me a reference from another artist (censored too however my commission list was full at the time, I did tell him it was full but I could put him on a pending waiting list. so the user accepted. then the days passed into weeks, honestly I am very sorry to make my clients wait, and it is my fault that things can be forgotten on me, so I quickly asked for my sincere apologies, the user was somewhat angry and I understand it perfectly even that I feel sad, my art is slow... The user was very kind so it motivated me to draw on a better way. IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not usually ask the money first because I like that the clients are satisfied with the sketch and then I receive the payment. so there is no image of the payment. I sent the first sketch, the user did not like it but I did not hate it either. naturally the user tells me what changes he wants, but not minor changes if not a total change. I personally understand that there are clients who ask for perfection, so in that aspect it does not make me unhappy. but a total change I really did not feel that I could do it, I felt a little nervous since I promised to send several sketches in a single day, and it usually takes 3 hours per sketch and more than this size. how I still thought that he felt angry, I preferred to give up and say that I could not do it and I would not complain at all because he is in all his right, but while the conversation was flowing the client told me things like "I thought you knew what that I wanted "(I want to clarify that English is not my main language so I usually have to make mistakes and misunderstand things) I understand this. another thing he told me "You're hurting your chances" then I felt that the sutuiacion was feeling "heavy" bad so I decided to explain to him why I feel that I cannot make a big change and why it takes me a long time, with the hope NOT that he would accept the sketch, if not that he understood and did not get angry with me. I don't think the user understood at all, maybe it's because of my English or I don't know. until he told me that he could pay me 200 USD which was not very sensible because I felt like a very poor girl. it was like an insult to my person. after that he decided to cancel everything and not talk to me again. What I would have liked is maybe to receive an apology or at least a small payment for the sketch, even though I understand that he is not obliged, i dont will lair i trying ask him a payment, he told me no, then i decided stoped. What can I say is that I be careful with some clients
  21. I originally contacted Furfancy for a fursuit as of Sept 14, 2019. They provided me the link to their website and we continued with conversation from screenshot1.jpg: We had discussed the details and around December I made the initial payment for my partial fursuit for $2000 and the start date to begin working on the suit around the end of 2020. After December, I started making payments via Paypal. Thankfully, I requested a written contract on Jan 2, 2020. The contract was created and signed. (Not provided since it contains personal information of both client and seller) Aside from the occassional late response, things went fairly smoothly as I continued making payments. It wasn't until September that I started seeing some big red flags. I'll also note that in the contract provided, there was a 1-4 day window for communication which I thought was fairly reasonable. Going forward on this beware, it was mostly the lack of communication that resulted in me wishing to end this contract. On September 18, 2020, I sent the following message on telegram: At this point, the lack of communication was already becoming an issue. This was something that I tried to contact her on so that we could continue working around this but kept getting worse as things went on. Throughout this process, other commissioners were having the same experience as me and were backing out. On top of the fact that she was so far behind deadline and also the lack of communication, I was (and still am) worried that she has no intention of really completing my fursuit. Despite no work being done on the suit and breaking her own terms on her contract, she never offered me a full refund, and when I requested one eventually, she said that she could not provide a full refund. My initial $400 payment was non-refundable. If any work was done on the project or parts were already purchased, I may have understood. However, at this point, we are already a year after the initial request to commission a fursuit. There was no work completed and still 20 people in the queue before me which meant I would need to wait approximately another two years before she could even start working on my fursuit. At this time, I had also joined her group chat which I will not provide screenshots of since Victoria largely provides updates via voice messages. Every update that was provided has been about personal problems and why she needs to extend her deadlines for all of her clients. These were the only updates that were provided for approximately a year. I can sympethize with these problems. However, I paid $2000 for a commission. This means that I'm working with a company to provide me with a product. I understand that roadblocks occur, but at no point of the process did Victoria hold any accountability or responsibililty. This screenshot is from September 22, 2020. Please keep that in mind while you look at the next screenshot from October 2, 2020. This last screenshot I found out that she had apparently purchased my furs apparently months ago and didn't bother to inform me. "If a charge back is made, I'm going to assume you no longer want the slot. If you are backing out 35% is non refundable." If the communication up to this point was a red flag, then threatening me for 35% of what I paid so that I can guarantee I don't get screwed through this process should be just straight up illegal. At this point, I managed to call her. Only after a full year, did she share her trello board with me. I contacted her asking her to update her contract for a deadline and a full refund if she did not complete the fursuit by August 1, 2021. After signing the new contract, we stopped communicating for a while. Then we pick back up in February. At this point, this brings us up to where we are currently in the discussion and I'm mentally checked out of this whole process. I just want my full refund so I can move on with my life. I was really looking forward to commissioning my first fursuit and now I'm not sure if I want one anymore. Victoria has completely ruined the idea of fursuiting for me at this point.
  22. In October 2017, I commissioned Juicysuits for a full plantigrade suit (suit's name is Terror) for $2200. When I did, I was given a soft deadline of around 2-3 months. I paid via down payment, and sort payment plan. I sent my DTD, and the process started, or so I thought. At this point, there were around 8 partial suits in front of me. Over the next few months, I asked about the deadlines, and it kept getting pushed back. Here's some examples from 2019, and she still hadn't started my suit. Note: The "3 suits needing to be done ASAP was untrue. There were still 6 suits ahead of me. The queue was NEVER cleared. She promised me that she'd start making smaller parts of my suit. Never happened. The only thing I got was a 3d printed bas that was used for all big cat suits. It could've been for anyone else, however. I also want to note that she spent my fursuit money on other things. There's two ways I know this. One, she, in the middle of a long queue already, posted this on her twitter for more money: Finally, after THREE YEARS, I threw in the towel. No progress at all, and she was finishing suits at a speed of two partials per year. At this rate, I'd be 23 or so by the time Terror would be done (I was 18 when I ordered, I'm 21 now). She told me that there could be a payment plan, but I got my lawyer Aunt involved, and I got all my money back. So beware of Juicysuits. DO NOT commission her, she will spend all of your money and then finish your suit in 6 years or so. I recommend you commission her when her business practices improve, which I hope is after she completes the remaining suits in her queue. She was as nice as she could be, but her business practices are extremely lacking. I never got Terror, nothing at all. I'm almost too scared to commission anyone else out of fear of repeating the same process.
  23. Original agreement: Tropical YCH, 2 versions; one SFW and one NSFW version. AB an auction at $200; Paid $212 total for a 6% fee to cover PayPal fees as dictated by the artist. YCH was paid for on July 19, 2020. Please see screencap for PayPal payment, along with confirmation in chat. My experience with NikaInfinity began July 17, 2020, when I purchased a YCH from her on FurAffinity. Everything seemed to proceed smoothly at first, with great communication and helping to pick out references. I asked for an invoice as one had not been tendered until the 19th, at which point I had immediately paid the invoice. Sketch was tendered on the 20th, and everything was well. No communication for a few weeks, which was shocking considering the good upfront communication. I tried to check in on Aug 4th and again on the 8th; I got confirmation that she was okay on the 9th but no update to the commission. Contact was again attempted on Aug 30th, with no reply until Sept 14th apologizing for the delay and promising updates for Sept 18th. I was polite, and waited until Oct 3 to ask her about it, giving her two weeks of grace for the promised date of the 18th. I did not get a reply until Oct 12th, promising lines "this week". I asked her to keep communication, as that was the biggest issue I was having with the process. Not waiting as long, I asked again an update on Oct 17th - I got an update with lines on Oct 18th! I was really happy at this point because despite the complete and utter lack of communication, it at least appeared I would get my commission. Because of this, I eased up a bit on questioning and let things go until Dec 2nd. As you may have guessed, I did not get any updates, so I asked if she was well on Dec 2nd. No reply. Jan 9th rolls around, and a journal was posted on FA saying that she had lost all of everyone's commission info - I was not initially on the list, so I asked her about it. There was no reply or confirmation, although I did see that it was added to the list *STILL* at the 30% it was at months ago. Jan 12th, and I got a message saying she was working on the lines, and I assured her I would be patient. This is around when Spectacle197 posted their beware about Nika / requested the refund, and Nika posted the journal that they referenced about her becoming "homeless", which was a big red flag for me and an understanding that it was not likely that I was going to get my commission finished. I asked her on the 13th for a timeframe, and I was assured I would be "next". "Next" may or may not be fair, as I do not know the order for the other 40+ people on her commission list. She said that she was working on my piece, but the link she posted for the WIP updates (Jan10th, bottom right) was exactly the same as the one she posted months ago (Oct 20th, middle). It was at this point where I stressed that waiting 6 months was taking its toll, and I don't think the lack of communication was fair - especially as her TOS states that she will communicate. I have everything to lose from posting this beware, if the artist decide's not to finish the commission as retaliation; I am too far out to request a PayPal refund, and quite frankly, I was too nice through this whole process because I didn't want to butt heads and did not want to lose my commission. I, unfortunately, have little hope of seeing it finished at this point - which is a shame, because the artist is obviously very talented, and I am still just as excited to receive my piece today as I was 6 months ago. The artist vanishes for months at a time from all platforms, makes promises to work and takes new commissions, and then vanishes again for months at a time. Judging by the insane amount of clients she currently has, I would not suggest this artist as a client, and I am now out $212. Lesson learned - still hoping like a fool to see the finished piece.
  24. On September 30, 2019, I was made aware of a special auction Mischief Makers was holding on Dealer’s Den. The auction was for a summer 2020 completion commission slot. Tweet Link Archived Tweet The promised deadline was the catalyst for my bid on this auction. At the time of the bid, I was not made aware that Mischief Makers had a queue going back years. I had a positive experience commissioning them in 2016, so I expected this commission would be another positive experience. PLEASE NOTE: Mischief Makers (or Dealer’s Den) has removed the auction listing, so I cannot screencap it. It now leads to an error page. On September 30th, I sent my design to them for approval, and the design was approved. I won the auction for $7,100, as shown in my Dealer’s Den history here: I informed Mischief Makers of my auction win on October 12, 2019: I received my invoice from Mischief Makers, and sent the payment shortly after: I did not receive any communication from Mischief Makers from October 2019 through April 2020. Concerned about my commission’s deadline, given the summer deadline advertised in the auction, I reached out to Mischief Makers on April 1, 2020: When I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, I followed up on April 7, 2020 and asked them when I should send my DTD. At this point I became aware that the auction page was removed either by Mischief Makers or by Dealer’s Den. I did not receive a response to my email. I contacted Mischief Makers via Telegram. I sent a message on April 5th that was unanswered. My message from April 8th was answered: In this message, Mischief Makers informed me they would improve their communication. I decided I would be patient sometime longer. Fast forward to July 2020, I sent Mischief Makers some follow up messages via Telegram, asking about the start date to my commission. My messages from July 13 and July 20 were not answered. I started looking around on Twitter to see if anyone else was having trouble with Mischief Makers, and came across numerous people indicating that Mischief Makers was ghosting them on commissions that were years old. After some callouts from other customers, Mischief Makers posted a Tweet on July 27th acknowledging their poor communication and committing to fixing it. Link to Tweet Link to Archived Tweet I sent an email to Mischief Makers after reading this post on July 27, 2020, in which I expressed that I was not willing to wait for them to finish their years long queue to get to my commission, as the commission was advertised with a specific deadline, and I bidded accordingly: I also sent this same message via Telegram: I did not receive a response to either message. I followed up on August 18, asking for a chance to discuss the commission. This message was not responded to either. On August 22nd, there were numerous customers discussing Mischief Maker’s lack of communication and lack of commission progress or updates within in the Mischief Makers Telegram Chat. One customer noted that Mischief Makers had a queue of 28 suits, with a number of other customers not present on the queue. At this point, an individual named Keitel came forward and asked that customers direct their inquiries toward them. This message was placed in the Mischief Makers telegram chat: On August 29th, I contacted Keitel per these instructions: I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 1st: I continued to not receive any communication from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 8th again. At this point, I was informed that my suit was delayed, but that I should get my suit by the end of the year, and that it would be worked on alongside other suits. I found this reasonable, and hoped for the best. Fast forward to December 2020, and I hadn’t heard from Keitel or Mischief Makers regarding my suit. Given the new promised deadline, I became concerned and contacted Keitel on December 2nd asking for an update, and when I should send my DTD. On December 7th, I still had not heard from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel again: On December 8th, Keitel responded to me and said that Mischief Makers hadn’t responded to them yet. On December 13th, I informed Keitel that Mischief Makers still hadn’t contacted me. Keitel informed me that Mischief Makers had not contacted them either. At this point I informed Keitel that if the suit wasn’t complete by the end of the year, I would expect a refund. On December 14, I followed up with Keitel and informed them that Mischief Makers still had not responded. On December 15th, Mischief Makers finally reached out to me. The message I received from Mischief Makers was as follows (along with an indication that Keitel seems to no longer be involved with communication): I informed Mischief Makers that I was happy to give them more time if I could get consistent communication and a reasonable frequency for updates. I asked them when they expect the suit would be completed. As of December 21st, today, Mischief Makers has not answered my question despite having viewed it. I sent this message today: At this point, I am sad to express that I do not trust Mischief Makers will provide me the consistent communication or updates as I have requested. My willingness to accept a later deadline is contingent on trusting my fursuit maker will not ghost me and will continue to provide updates, even if the progress is slow. The silence has spoken. At this point, to resolve this situation, I would like a refund of $7100.
