  1. Creeping out of the darkness here to comment: The modder's claim that they did the shading and fur texture has been refuted not only by my own knowledge and time spent modding in Second Life, but the maker of the Caboodle shading base, as this is that shading base. I compared the images from the Discord screencaps to work I've done on this base, as well as the Caboodle screenshots from the Second Life Marketplace, then asked the owner of Caboodle, and she confirmed that it was her base. Additionally, in talking with the owner of Caboodle to confirm that this was her base, it came up that this avatar did not purchase the base. It was either purchased on an alt, or obtained illegally. Regardless, the first line in the ToS for the shading base is "You DO NOT have permission to distribute the PSD Template to other people or alt accounts." So the Caboodle ToS has been broken, and the maker knows. OP, I'm sorry this was your experience. Having worked/fought with the LL UV as much as I have, yes, there are a lot of issues, but they're not as difficult to work with as the modder claims. Sure, it can be a pain in the butt to line up textures over the seams, but if that's what makes the mod work, then you do that. And unless you say, "yes, this looks great!" then you haven't accepted it. Editing to add: As it's been brought to my attention that it's easy to miss, this is where the modder claims that the shading/fur base work is theirs, and not the Caboodle base. When you compare the two directly to a mod I did myself (though I have some of the highlight layers turned off on the back), and to the screenshot on the Secondlife marketplace... It's pretty telling.
  2. Mar. 23rd, 2012 at 4:16 PM huttsercoyote WHO: Kwallie on FA and DA WHERE: www.furaffinity.net/user/kwallie and http://kwallie.deviantart.com/ and Facebook WHAT: Digital commission of HTTYD artwork featuring fursona. Paid $20 USD on February 12, 2012. http://tinypic.com/r/11hc9rb/5 WHEN: Communication began on February 8, 2012. Payment sent through Paypal on February 12, 2012 and received on February 16, 2012. No word has been spoken since time of clearance, and no notes have been sent. Has been active on Facebook since time of purchase. PROOF: http://tinypic.com/r/14lpjb6/5 Fur Affinity notes. http://tinypic.com/r/15ecmqs/5 Deviant Art note (unopened). http://tinypic.com/r/71k861/5 Facebook profile (updated). http://tinypic.com/r/23rlkqd/5 Personal Facebook messages. EXPLAIN: I commissioned 'Kwallie' back early February about commissioning a digital flat color commission featuring my fursona, Huttser Coyote, in a scene from How To Train Your Dragon. Kwallie was eager to accept the commission, and $20 was sent to her Paypal and received on February 16, 2012. Upon payment, I asked her to have it done within the following week (week of Feb. 16-23). After the note had been sent on FA, I received no further word from her, both on FA and DA. No notes were opened on either site. Since she provided her real name, I found her Facebook and politely asked for updates on my commission, since there was no communication on either site, and her Facebook is active (see updated Facebook). To this date, I have received no communication from her at all, and she continues to update her Facebook status and page frequently.
  3. Mar. 25th, 2012 at 1:23 AM thaily WHO&WHERE: Xinnova2 on Furaffinity. WHAT: Digital character sheet. WHEN: Started December 22, officially terminated via full refund March 23. PROOF: - Complete exchange of notes in a text file. There's 11 pages, I'll write summary below. Also the links are borked because A. cut&paste from FA and B. I removed the sketches from my server because Xinnova need not access them anymore. - [NSFW, feral bits] Thumbnail of sketched character sheet. To provide proof that I did draw the commission and go to this point of near-completion. Forgive the size and watermark, I do not wish to provide this person with further images for his perusal. - Screenshot of full refund. SUMMARY: Customer doesn't know what he wants, or at the very least does not communicate this to the artist. Despite claiming that he is a writer and that this character sheet will "define me spiritually" he does not write a conclusive description of what he wants, hemming and hawing over what he wants and then becoming increasingly abusive when the artist indicates her boundaries in accordance with the TOS they agreed to. Upon a full refund the customer posts a harassing journal and he and his friends make libelous statements and insults, suggesting customer sue the artist and wishing physical harm on the artist. Upon completing another character sheet commission, Xinnova contacted me about getting a similar commission from me. I showed him my TOS which he said, and I quote "That's actually very reasonable" and "I will try not to make too many changes, if I do though I will pay the fee". We agreed on $100 for the sheet, half paid up front with a deadline of 6 months. The transaction started out pleasantly, though early on I realized I had to drag a description of the character I was supposed to draw out of this guy. I thought that he was just a little enthusiastic and disorganized and that I could work with him; I've worked with customers before who sort of knew what they wanted and helped them along to come to a satisfactory end result. No biggie. I thought. I told him to take a day to make a list of things he wanted instead of sending lots of separate notes, and when he sent notes asking me to add things after I had started (and shown him) sketches I didn't make a fuss and did. The trouble started when I showed him the third sketch; the first was a side view, he asked for changes (rounded the muzzle/added bandana/number of teats/placement of teats/size of paws/shape of tail-mouth) which I applied. Upon being shown the second sketch he approved the changes, asking if I could curve the horns back a bit more, which I did. He specifically complimented me on the revised tail-mouth; initially described as being shaped like a rose-bud that opens into a worm-like maw with teeth. I drew the closed tail mouth as a rose bud, with a bulb below the bud and the little green outer leaves. I told him I was checking off the side-view as approved and listed the remaining work, thinking we had a decent jump off point for the character design. He told me he was looking forward to the results. He asks if he can still add a necklace. I added the necklace in the fourth sketch. Upon being presented with the third sketch, he tells me the previously changed and approved muzzle "doesn't feel right at all". He also asks me to change the previously changed and approved closed tail-mouth design. I apply both of these changes. He asks me to match the size of the paws in the turn-around, which are already matched in size; I put the sketches side to side to ensure that they were, before I presented him with the sketch. So, I can't change it because the paws are already matched up. He asks me to change the teats/pouch, I apply this change. He tells me the cock has a knot; the cock is not shown, just the sheath. He did not ask for a cock, so I just drew the sheath. He says he has a sheath, which is great, because I drew a sheath. Again, can't change that. He tells me he wants the anus included from the view from below, except you wouldn't be able to see the anus from that angle, especially with the vagina mound in the way. So I can't change that because quite frankly, it would make it look like I don't know the proper placement of the anus, which he seems to believe. He "helpfully" tells me the anus "is located in the common area of the tail base". He tells me to mind the shape of the serpent heads, which is fine. It was a messy sketch but I'm quite familiar with ancient Egyptian art, that's not a problem. Current count of changes is 11 changes applied spread over 3 opportunities for Xinnova to provide feedback. On the 3 items I couldn't change I explained why I could not. I send him the fourth sketch, which includes close-ups of the genitalia, including a close-up of the anus in it's proper place. At this point, his unclear waffling on the muzzle and tail is some cause for concern for me and I tell him that this is his last batch of free revisions. I tell him to take his time in deciding what he wants to see changed and that if he wants more changes, he'll have to pay extra for the additional labor, as stated in my TOS which he agreed to. I had a feeling that otherwise, I was going to go back and forth on the muzzle and tail for a long time, if not on other parts as well if he suddenly disapproved of his previously approved changes. Keep in mind that he has currently paid $6,25 per element of the character sheet. As a professional, I can only spend so much time on a $6,25 sketch. He sends a short note, telling me he has 6 months? I set a 6 month deadline for my work, and we're already 3 months into it. But I didn't tell him he only had a day, just to take a day to think about it, since his other replies asking for changes were sent fairly quickly and then promptly disapproved of again next time 'round, I thought maybe he thought I was trying to rush things and that he didn't have time to think about it. I tell him he can take his time and give him some hints on how to put together clear reference material. I figured that, even if he could not find good images or couldn't "redline" the sketch, that he could write out something more detailed, as he lists himself as being a writer. This is where the transaction sours, in retrospect, pretty much beyond repair. I try and remain civil despite the fact he calls my experience and professionalism into question, tells me I should have done the research(?), that he only asked for a few small changes, that I refused to change things (but when prompted, doesn't tell me what I refused), that I'm not giving him opinions or options etc. I give him a play-by-play response telling him that he needs to tell me what he wants or else I can't draw it. I restate that I want him to take his time and tell me exactly what he wants so that I can change it and hopefully bring the transaction to a satisfactory conclusion. He goes on about how this commission is unique and he can't just describe it despite the fact that he is A. a writer, or says he is and B. he claims this character sheet will "define me spiritually". Despite the fact he is not an artist he tells me sketching is the easiest part of a commission and something about experience, which he doesn't have as an artist, so I don't even know where he was going with that; at this point I'm just confused and uncertain where this hostility is coming from. Stress and illness can only account for so much, I've never had a customer get angry before when I ask them what they want. But he feels like I'm cutting his head off by asking him what he wants so I can draw it for him. I initially read the note but don't reply, assuming that with time he'd send me the info I needed and we could get this business sorted. I try to go on with my day and do unrelated art, but I'm distracted and irritable and I realize that I was just waiting for the other passive aggressive shoe to drop. I wanted to bring the commission to a good conclusion, despite the brouhaha, but realized that in order to do so, I'd have to let him bully me into, essentially, work for peanuts. Well, smaller peanuts. Or the burnt, shriveled and stale bits of peanuts left in the bottom of the bag of peanuts. And that I would hate myself for it. So I terminated the transaction, as stated I am able to do in the TOS he agreed to. I even gave him a full refund. Then I told him that he could make no claim to the sketches, could not use them for anything and that I desired no further contact. I saw that he had read the note and he did not reply. I thought that would be the end of it and I was quite happy to leave it at that. That said, I still had a half-finished character sheet, which I own fully and was out about $50 of labor. Trying to recoup some of my losses I changed the design around to no longer resemble Xinnova's design (which according to him, I had failed to approximate anyway) and put it up as a pre-sketched character sheet/adoptable. AFTER I had removed all mention of Xinnova from my account, which was just in my commission list in my journals anyway. I did in no way refer, link or name him anywhere. To which [possibly NSFW, tame but feral bits]he promptly outed himself as the uncooperative and abusive customer in the very first comment. Notice his friends also joining in. I blocked them all. He then posts a harassing journal linking directly to my submission, breaking the Terms of Service of FurAffinity. When a moderator deletes his post and gives him a warning, he complains about how he was just defending his good name which would have never been jeopardized if he had dropped the matter when he was refunded. You'll notice the blatant discrepancies between his communication with me and what he tells his friends: That I was insulting and attacking him, that he only asked for 4-5 small changes and that I didn't do half, that I have "butchered" his name publicly, that he wasn't initially prepared to pay extra for additional labor in case he needed numerous changes and so forth. Interestingly, there's apparently 3-4 of his friends who filed Trouble Tickets about me/my pre-sketched commission, despite they were never even peripherally involved with this transaction. Harassment, name-calling, insults and the like ensue, all based on what little skewed information they had. Which brings us to this post. In conclusion: Do not work with this person. He doesn't know what he wants and gets angry when you don't either and refuse to do endless revisions until he makes up his mind, which might be never; he wants other people to define him spiritually, which is just never going to happen. It's not worth it and neither is the resulting abuse and libel he uses to whip his friends into an ignorant frenzy. Friends, whom I should add, who would also probably be best avoided if these statements are indicative of their true nature. I'll probably get more abuse and harassment for this post, but I honestly think it's worth it if I can save at least one other artist from this frustration and aggravation; You are better than this, do not work with him.

  5. Mar. 16th, 2012 at 12:47 PM keshimeg WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanillakitsune aka Stripesandteeth/Ash WHERE: VanillaKitsune.deviantart.com (now deactivated) also Vanimute@DA Vani@FA Stripesandteeth@Tumblr WHAT: Digital chibi, Digital Portrait WHEN: August 6th 2009 up until 20th December 2011 PROOF: Proof of payment http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg Original commission request was made on her Vanillakitsune DA account which has now been deactivated. I have placed screencaps of what conversation I could get, they are in the explanation. EXPLAIN: I have been a customer wronged by Vani/Ash. At one point I thought we were on a very good level, enough to say we were sort of friends. While my situation has a better ending than most as I received a refund in the end, I will share it. I've wanted to share it for a long time but always felt the need to tip-toe around her feelings and her fans. I'm done hiding though, because her behaviour is not on. I was happy with my outcome, despite having to fight for it for so long. However, after seeing her open more commissions, well, that angered me! I feel upset and sorry for the people who are still waiting, and those new commissioners who have no idea. I commissioned Ash on August 5th, 2009, this was on her VanillaKitsune DA account. She was wanting to save up for some ragdoll cats. Her art was an inspiration and I think this was around the time we were acquaintances. I ordered a chibi ($15) and a digital portrait ($50). I am a very trusting person and I really wanted to help. Full payment of $65 was sent upfront, I was extremely excited! Here is the payment proof http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg A few months passed and I finally received a my chibi. It wasn't the highest quality of art (pencil sketch coloured in) but I still did enjoy it, hey I got art for one of my biggest inspirations, yipee! Here is the chibi commission http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/Art%20for%20me/Kyle/Kyle_Commish_by_Vanimute.jpg At this point I was pretty confident I will get my digital portrait soon. I waited.. and waited. Ash has changed accounts to Vanimute on DA so I found her there and watched her. I continued to see her upload new art (none being commissions) but still I waited patiently! I take commissions myself and understand that sometimes you don't have the right inspiration. I also kept into account she was in college. A while passed and I discovered she was active on FA under the name Vani, not only uploading personal art but.. taking more commissions? I made an account on FA just to follow her and wait, still very patiently though! It came to the point where she was continuously opening commissions, until finally making a journal about her to-do list/queue. The one we know ever so well http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643/ My commission is a year and a half overdue at this point, you would think I would be at the top of the list? I am all the way down the bottom! At this point I was done patiently and silently waiting. I voiced my feelings, albeit in the open but I think I had the right to. You can find the conversation here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2014394/#cid:16534744 I generally like to be a kind person and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, even after being told it was my responsibility to keep in touch with her. Also if you read her reply, it is full of excuses (valid or not) and not one apology to me (I ended up being the one apologising?). As a commissioner myself I feel it is my responsibility to let my commissioners know if there will be a delay, also at least have the decency to own up to your mistake, have some humility and apologise?? So after feeling like the bad guy, I noted her on FA, here is a print screen. Note how I am still very understanding! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash1.jpg Well, that note was never read. I couldn't understand? I was told to note her! I waited months for a reply, it still says in my outbox that it has not been read. So I sent another one, this time I did not sugar coat my feelings. I was done, this was unacceptable. She still had $50 of my money and not one apology. Here is the note http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash2.jpg After this on not being read, I discovered I have to email her school account? Awesome! So far we have gone from Vanillakitsune@DA, Vanimute@da, Vani@FA (all of which have been abandoned) and now her school email. I sent the same message to her but via email. To my surprise I got a reply. I got an apology, we worked out what I wanted. I gave her 5 different characters to choose from. All different species and levels of fun in hopes this would be helpful. In these emails I reverted back to being kind and understanding, hoping to not upset her. I understood she was stressed and made a mistake and honestly didn't want to ruin any chances of receiving my art. This was the 7th/8th of June 2011. I received an update 2 weeks later, with some sketches. Awesome, it looked like we were getting somewhere. I replied saying I liked them, thanked her and hoped for her to continue. 2 months I waited, and sent her an email wondering what was going on. I didn't receive a reply. This is getting quite long, I promise it ends soon! I then discovered her on TUMBLR. We are so far away from commissioning her on Vanillakitsune. Tumblr has an ask system so some months after the email I sent, I sent an ask about it. I don't have records of what was sent, but I expressed my unhappiness again and stated this was unfair. I was told since I found it unfair I would get a refund. If I remember correctly a few weeks passed and I had to send her an ask again! This time the reply I got was her paypal email, telling me to send her an invoice for the refund and that she would have it by the end of the week. I sent it on the 6th of December. I received the refund 2 weeks later, on the 20th of December, 2011. I commissioned her on the 5th of August, 2009. I am happy I got a refund, although it took a look of persistence. I remained nice and understanding the majority of the time. Forgave her constantly and chased her around the internet. While I finally got my money back, so many others are not this lucky! More of us need to share our stories. People need to know that commissioning Ash is a bad idea. We need to stop being scared of her fans and hurting her feelings. She may have nice art and be popular, but not saying anything in public seems to be allowing this behaviour. She has run away with hundreds (maybe thousands?) of dollars, and continues to do nothing to right her wrongs but rather make it worse! Hopefully one day this will end. I hope that she can change her ways, own up and make up for her mistakes and complete any overdue art/refund people. It will take some time but she has dug this hole and continues to to this very day! You can only be supportive and forgiving for so long before enough is enough.
  6. Mar. 13th, 2012 at 9:23 AM ariakitty WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanilla Kitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani/ WHAT: Two icon commissions, cost $24 (The total was actually $25.03 because she requested that I cover the paypal fees. I sent $26 just so the number would be even. I am aware that you're not supposed to pay extra to cover the fees but at the time I didn't know this.) WHEN: Payment sent March 21, 2010 Proof of payment. PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1284224/ Journal where commissions were offered. (March 21, 2010) EXPLAIN: I commissioned Vani for two icons in March 2010. In the journal she does state that she wouldn't be getting to these specific commissions until May. So I did not expect to see anything until the summer/fall of that year. There was really no concise list of her current commission queue, but in the journal where she offered these commissions she made it seem like she didn't have that many to do. Around December 2010 she posted her commission queue: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643 I kicked myself when I saw how massive her queue was, had I known she owed that many commissions I wouldn’t have commissioned her in the first place. A year goes by and I figure it's time to contact her and inquire about the status of my commission. I tried to contact her through FA on June 28, 2011. The note was never read. So on September 19 I sent her an email, I never received a reply. (I can provide screens of the email and the note but I wasn't sure if that was necessary.) Her tumblr is active and she has a new DA page with new art posted: http://stripesandteeth.tumblr.com/ http://maplemutesandtea.tumblr.com/ (not as active) http://www.stripes-and-teeth.deviantart.com/ I don't really know how much of it is commission work and how much is personal work. I didn't start to worry until I saw a question that she answered on her tumblr about why she left DA and FA. On September 23 I sent her a note through her maplemutesandtea tumblr and I did receive a reply. I responded back telling her I'd be happy to wait for the art as long as communication between us was good. Needless to say, I did not get a response to my second note. (I would provide proof of that but tumblr doesn't keep a record of sent 'asks'.) February, 29 I decided to try to contact her again through tumblr. I forgot to take a screen of it before I sent it off. But I had asked her how things were going and if she needed refs. I figured after almost 2 years she probably didn't have my character refs anymore. She has not responded to that note. On March 11 she posted to her tumblr offering more commissions. I’m a little disappointed. She has a queue of 50+ commissions that she hasn’t made good on, yet she’s taking on more work. I'm glad to see that she won't accept payment until the commission is finished but... What about the rest of us? Vani is a talented artist and I really hate to see her dig herself into such a deep hole. I didn't want to make an A_B entry about anyone, let alone Vani. She took on more work than she could handle and I know she's very stressed about it. But I wish she would communicate with me. I am patient and I am willing to wait quite a while as long as the artist stays in touch. I sincerely hope this can be marked as resolved someday.
  7. Mar. 9th, 2012 at 2:02 AM heathermasanon I need a little bit of etiquette advice. Over a year ago I commissioned an artist on Gaia for a painted, full body couple piece. I paid half ($80) upon the delivery of a rough sketch, with the agreement that I would pay the other half after she got the flat colours for the second character down, and have only received one completed part of the commission (one character, the other still in a sketch state. I was never asked to send the second half of the payment during my correspondence with her). Since then I have not been able to get in contact with the artist, despite numerous attempts on my part. They've clearly been around, and are using the completed part of my commission as an art example, stating that it's a finished commission. They're even using it as an icon for their deviantart account. Now, I've long since given up on attempting to get in contact with the artist, since it's fully clear they're ignoring me and I don't know what else I can do, but my question is this: Since I technically paid for this half finished commission (her price for one painted full body was $80), and since she's using it as an example for further commissions, do I have the right to use the image? It just feels really weird to me. It can stand alone as a single character piece, but I know it isn't, and it technically wasn't what I commissioned her for. I do like what has been finished, and would like to include it in my art references for the character. I just feel like it might be weird. :/ [edit] So at the advice of commenters, here is the full beware. WHO chatelain (Gaia)/chambrae (deviantart) WHAT A full-body painted piece of my two characters WHEN February 20, 2011 - Present PROOF Paypal receipt (I was wrong, it was $85... her current prices are listed at $80.) Her art shop, where she is clearly displaying the image as both an art example and a link-back button. When I sent the first payment/received the prelimenary sketch What I've received so far The last contact I have had with her. DeviantArt note I sent her, with proof that she has read it but has not responded. Unfortunately, Gaia seems to have deleted my sent folder (I don't use it very much, haha), so I don't have any proof of any other messages I have sent her. She has also posted a dA journal, updated her Gaia shop, and even finished another commission in the mean time. I would just like either the other have of my commission or the commission closed. Any correspondance at all would be welcome, really... I sent her an e-mail notifying her I would be posting about her here, and also mentioned that once we have resolved the issue I'll mark it as such.

Krowzi 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/krowzi 3. Commissioned August 28th 4. I commissioned Krowzi on August 28th for a pair of dolls. By the end of October, she had completed the dolls and shipped them. When they hadn't arrived by the end of January (she is in Canada and I am in the US so we thought maybe they got stuck in customs) she offered to remake the dolls for me and reship them for me as long as I covered the shipping costs. Even though this was neither party's fault that they got lost in the mail, she rectified the situation and provided me with two gorgeous dolls! Not only is her craftsmanship worth the money but she provides the customer service to go with it! Thanks Krowzi! <3 (Original dolls that got lost: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/comis/ICEE.jpg , and the remade ones that made it safe and sound: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/icee2.jpg ) sisterskift Mar. 6th, 2012 04:52 pm (local) 1. Commissioned on February 14th for a Valentine's Day sketch. Commissioned again on the end of February for a Lineart (To be colored). 4. I've been commissioning Katibara for small purchases here and there for over a year now, the last two this past February being the most recent. I find it very appealing that she works so fast with the references given and always does an amazing job with the characters. Lately, she's only been taking small commissions here and there via stream, so if you're looking for something quick and pretty for a really, really good price, try keeping an eye out for her stream commission advertisements. She's very polite, and makes sure that what she's working on is satisfactory, even if it's something like a $3.00 sketch. I've seen her make several changes to a single sketch for someone else at their request without a fuss. She's a real peach to work with and her customer service skills are stellar. My commissioned pieces from Kati: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7479471 (Will be colored) - $10.00 for the line art, paid an extra $5.00 at my request to have it colored (she offered to color it for $2.00) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7404546 (Far right) $3.00 Edited at 2012-03-06 05:38 pm (local) charryzarry Mar. 6th, 2012 07:20 pm (local) 1. I commissioned her for the second time last month and she was an absolute joy to work with. She provided an amazingly swift turn around, thoughtfully brought up details I hadn't even considered but proved to be an asset to character design, maintained very good communication/contact, and helped bring a new character to life for me. She doesn't trade quality for speed either so no worries on that count. She did an excellent job on both pieces! On the Minerva commission I didn't give her too many details on the Byakhee mount, and it seems she went and looked up some more details on her own. I can't recommend her enough, I know I'll be going back to her when I need some more art done. Not like many artist who left me hanging for 6 month without even saying sorry <_< One of her best skill is following direction, paying attention to detail, and actually listening to what people want. So I don't need to give her a bunch of direction but only a few guideline and she won't disappoint me ever. I commission her like 3 time and I am always blown away. I think she one of the few who take time to read what I give her. She also draw everything from nude, guy, girl, yaoi, etc which is also hard to find.
  9. Feb. 28th, 2012 at 10:16 PM jazminbunni WHO: Zillford, an artist located on Furaffinty and InkBunny as well. I am not certain if he is active anywhere else. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zillford / http://inkbunny.net/Zillford WHERE: Located on FA at http://furaffinity.net/user/zillford , this is the primary site of business that I encounter him at. WHAT: A commission for a Line Art, digital image piece. Priced at $60 to be paid ahead of time. Initially paid for in advance, the status of the art agreed upon for commission is unknown and I am currently awaiting a response from the artist, the current date that this was posted on at Artist Beware is February 28th, 2012, and the date that the commission was paid for was December 12th, 2011. What I would like to do is find a way to open up communication with Zillford and work things out to get this commission completed, and I put this all behind me, and possibly have the picture paid for to be coloured by him later. I don't wish to burn any bridges here. WHEN: Commission was agreed upon, and then paid for on December 12th, 2011. Each Link in the above section logs the time when they were posted before each link. Final email I have sent to the artist was on February 20th, 2012. A rough time line of the situation from initial conversation, to 1st payment (or agreement of trade) to signs of trouble. All activity on his account located on FA seems to have stopped as well, his latest submission was on January 24th, 2:15PM, 2012, his last favourite was on January 19th, 8:51 AM, 2012, and his last journal was posted on January 10th, 2012 01:16 PM. There also appears to be at least one other having similar concern based on comments they have posted on Zillford's wall. This may dissappear due to any new comments pushing them out of sight. I will screen cap it and can post if it is requested. EXPLAIN: I commissioned Zillford back on the 12th of December, and agreed to pay in advance for a digital line art piece. I paid $60 up front to make sure I had a spot on his commission line. Near the end of December I curiously sent Zillford an email asking if any progress had been made or not. I could not find a reply back to it in any box of my email account so I cannot verify if there was a response to this particular email. I made a followup note to him on FA and Zillford explained that my commission details possibly were misplaced, but he had found them and was going to put me in front on the production line. I made a third note asking how things were going on January 23rd, and his response was that it was one of the day's must-do pictures. My last email sent to Zillford asking about the status of the commission was on February 20th, 70 days from the day after payment was verified until the last email was sent. It appears that Zillford is inactive on FA currently. I would just like to have it completed and hopefully work out something to have it coloured later on. I am not mad at the artist, but I am concerned by the lack of communication. **UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012]: ** Another member on FA had found out that the artist Zillford had made an account on DeviantArt, and was being active on that site, and for what it appears, has abandoned his FA page. She talked to me as If she would be doing me a favor putting my art with her Christmas art...when my commission was supposed to be a gift in OCTOBER that I told her about multiple times, and she continues to ignore that acting like its a HUGE favor to allow my commission to go with over due Christmas art. Have not heard from her at all, trying to get a hold of her. I paid her 6$ up front and was planning on giving her 15 more after the art was done, but at this point im not sure its even worth it. She has done other commissions over mine over and over again. No progress on mine. I am annoyed especially because i was her original first commission on FA and she was great for it, and she has treated me very poorly as a repeat customer.

  12. Feb. 5th, 2012 at 11:56 PM naughtykitsune Who: Shiroiyuki Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shiroiyuki/ What: A full colored commission When: Going on for close to a year now Explain: Well in October I was recommended by a friend to check out her art which I did and I brought a commission from her at the time because she was open and had reasonable prices. So she posted a journal (which she deleted) saying she was giving a special on pics for $25. this my transaction http://imageshack.us/f/838/incidentone.jpg/ pg/) this is what i asked for http://imageshack.us/f/826/incident2.jpg/. So I brought a spot. She posted a journal right afterwards saying she was depressed and having an art block. I decided to wait because people have that problem. this was posted afterwards http://imageshack.us/f/252/incident3.jpg/ In November I got tired of waiting and looked at her Commission Queue to my surprise my name wasn't there for a commission so I contacted her which went well and reasonable. So after a few days (again...) a new journal was posted saying she was taking new art and such. So then of course another journal posted about an art block. Later that week other people art was posted and still my name wasn't added to the queue. So I was fed up with it and filed a refund because I was tired of waiting and being ignored. So of course instead a well way to settle stuff in a mature manner I got a rage note saying "No I'm not refunding you your money its not my problem this was well hard earn money so don't give me the BS''. She made threats to me as well saying she was going to sue me.shown here http://imageshack.us/f/545/incident5.jpg/ . Let me point out that I got no update on my art so I went to my bank who is set up with paypal and filed a dispute for my money back because I felt scammed and the fact my bank had a flag with her info . She later posted a journal calling me a rude uncalled for name and deleting it due to her getting raged at for speaking to her clients that way. Later along in the year she is posting pictures of stuff she buying and then writing journals later asking for money. This new year she has decided to start on people art but still has an attitude issue where is uses very rude language in her terms and commission queues. shown here (hhttp://imageshack.us/f/850/incident4.jpg/ Recently she has went MIA from her account with more people money she begged for a tablet and she has left her account without doing people art. shown here http://imageshack.us/f/600/scammerza.jpg/ She recently returned with pics of tattoos she has gotten along with a journal full of rage against those who were very unhappy with her taking too long and felt she used the commission money she owe to get the tattoos http://imageshack.us/f/268/rudeness.jpg/ This issue has been resolve. She has refunded my money so no need to comment here anymore.
  13. Feb. 10th, 2012 at 2:36 AM alex_dachshund I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/ I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried. I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs. WHO: Sciggles WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any. I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted. I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could. Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd) Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th) After a while, some time had passed. I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st) She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update. Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally. Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd) Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions: Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st) I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art: E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd) The e-mail has NOT been responded to. After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her: Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th) EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg I am just really unsure what to do at this point. She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices. I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet. EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg My reply: http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg I replied, and she sent me this nasty snarky e-mail afterwards: http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg My reply: http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them. EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there. I consider the matter resolved. http://oi42.tinypic.com/1567rlu.jpg I have also Unwatched and blocked the artist. Will never do business with her again. VERY annoyed customer. I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.

I'm so pleased with how she handled both my characters, and the strongest recommendation I can give her is that I very much want her to do a reference sheet for my lizard-girl as well, and have booked a spot in her February commission list. The Xmas pic was a gift from someone and if I had any remaining, lingering doubts that Demona could handle drawing my little scalie, this completely destroyed them. I'm also happy to say that the subsequent pieces I've commissioned from her have been an equally delightful experience. The headshot is lovely as well; it has a kind of wistful quality to it, and there is a lovely liquidness to hir eyes in this. The solo pic of Sh'sthress is a prime example of where she applied her experience as an artist to achieve the feeling I wanted for a piece; she took the rather generic pose idea I had and turned it into something much, much more than I had envisioned. At the moment, Taasla is working out the preliminary sketch for a trade piece with me, and I'm looking forward to seeing it! I gave them a theme/idea and they ran with it so well that it made me cry when I saw the finished piece. ;___; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7337585 Definitely highly recommended. latiro Feb. 10th, 2012 01:45 pm (local) -pancakes-/nijipie 1. -pancakes-/nijipie 2. adzuki (hi LJ)/http://www.furaffinity.net/user/-pancakes-/ (his FA) 3. contacted him for one on teenycom on Feb. 5; icon completed on Feb. 10 4. he's a very friendly artist to work with and makes really cute icons. Not only did she agree to do so, but she had it finished the same day. Absolutely love the finished product.
