About Me

  1. Our entire conversation starting at the point where I confronted them regarding the charge backs here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kytjdKIUkqUK82fOgdv-Rz-1h1-ZOUMn/view?usp=sharing Geckorobot1 received their artworks: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30840303/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31188488/ Starting at 06/14/2019 The first piece totaling $180 and the second $220, with the breakdowns sent via invoice on paypal, my TOS is listed here : https://www.charmrage.com/terms-of-service, since I want everyone to have all the information at hand. I began by asking them what had happened though already another artist had contacted me since this chargeback happened along with several to 7 artists that I know of in total. They began by telling me that they paypal glitched out and opened all of these cases, and that the account was then deleted. I asked for them to reach out to paypal, and have the disputes removed, at this time I had paypal funds and I had not been in financial danger so I wanted to find a resolution. They offered to send a new payment, which i declined since you are 1. not supposed to take money for services through friends and family 2. would not remove the cases against me on my business account which would affect my credibility with paypal, they also offer a contract which I also reject. I asked if they would call, but eventually called my self and the disputes were removed by paypal, and they stated that the bank denied their clients claims and ruled in my favor. At this time I believed it was over, the situation made me feel uneasy, but the claims were removed. This all happened over the course of the weekend. 06/19/2019 On this day I was notified that one of the cases was re-opened and that, I lost the other one due to lack of shipping. I immediately contacted paypal and they informed me that the bank had re-opened the cases at the clients request. At this point I wrote my quick AB on twitter since this person was still getting art and there were too many things pointing to a potential scam. They reached out to me again offering to pay, and I ask them to reach out to their bank and have the cases removed. This also brings up the fact that it was not a paypal glitch or account cancellation that had triggered any of this like I was told, it was a dispute filed through the bank. I told them to reach out tho their bank and they find reasons why they are not able to opting to e-mail them. They continue to ask me several time to take care of it like I did before, which I already mentioned to them was not possible. It seems at this point all of their payment methods are failing and no change occurs. They offer to use square, which the same thing can happen on in the same way. 06/21/2019 They continue to try to pay me in methods I refuse since they are not legitimate, I cannot trust this person so I don't want to receive payment in a method they can repeat this. These other methods would then not be attached to the services done so then their disputes would become valid. 07/02/2019 By this time I have lost both my cases with paypal, their bank sided with them. Their bank won't re-open the cases for them and state they opened the cases. 07/04/2019 I offer them the ability to pay me back through Zelle which is another payment service, but would not be attached to my business account and is not possible to chargeback on. They offer to use Western Union but at this point I refuse to spend more time going to a location to pick up[ money when the payment service I mentioned can be done via a phone, involving no parties to go anywhere just sent the money.I ask, since I was left under the impression that I was going to receive payment, turns out that they still need to pay other artists. 07/14/2019 They offer to mail the cash even though I have explained that I will only use Zelle, which to me is again not safe of legitimate. They then proceed to become upset over the post AB on my twitter. They at this point have still not paid me, and I don't feel any progressive change occurring only arguing, I included the rest of the chat so as to not hide anything.
  2. Update: After ignoring me for a further 2 months, so 5 months total, I finally get a note with only a google drive link. Providing me with the finished image, with 2 making errors and no evident sign that he edited the sketch to fix the "angry eyebrow" which i brought up in the notes so long ago however, thankfully the awkward fingers had been fixed. He promptly fixed the 2 marking errors (adding in the facial stripes and eye colour) and yet again sent only a link. No sign of an apology for the wait or ignoring me. I am certain the only reason I got a response is due to the countless shouts I had posted on his FA page. I would warn people off commissioning the artist, at all, but especially more than once. As the more commissions you get, the more they seem to think ignoring your clients is appropriate. Overall, generally dissatisfied as the once great first impression which was made and brought me back to commission him again was just a farce. For the quality of work he makes, it is disappointing that neglects his clients so much.
  3. So this happened a little bit after I started being more active on FurAffinity. I will write the whole story at the end of the screenshots. Its my first post on here so I'm sorry if the pictures are not in the right order. They messaged me wanting to commission me. They wanted to add me on Discord which we did. We added each other. We discussed the first commission which wasnt a problem at all. Also proof about them sending me their email for the invoice : Im suspecting a dummy e-mail. Proof that I sent them the first commission. They quickly wanted to commission me more, which is completly fine by me. So In total i had around 5 commissions done for them. They promised me 160 USD. I was going to bed. Afterwards I tried to play with them since they added me on a video game. Their nickname ingame was Dumas, which ofc is also his main Account on Furrafinity. (Dumas~) (I got worried about my payment so I googled their name and thats how I found out.) Fluffaroo82 is only their secondary account. Here is the proof that they added me : And now after all the commissions were done, me trying to play with them : And thats how it ends. They slowly started ignoring me : The last message was also sent on FA. The only time they messaged me was to let me know their PC had an issue, which was a COMPLETE lie because they were playing the video game ( Im not going to name the game.) on their own. You can check the last few matches on certain websites for that. So their PC were completly okay. And even then. They couldnt contact me on Discord. FA was still an option. And then I never heard from them ever again. Now here is the full story : I got a message from them on FA, asking for a Commission, which was completly fine - it supports me as an artist! Quickly they told me what exactly they wanted and I finished the commission the same day - and thats when they wanted more and more without paying. Since the art was related to a game we both were actually playing, I asked them for their Ingame name, which was Dumas. Now, since I asked around and also googled out of curiosity, I found out that Dumas~ is his main account on Furaffinity and I could alos see the same likeness in the art they had posted and the ones I got commissioned. ( Scraps, and some in the gallery.) After I told them to pay me and that im closing my commissions for private reasons it started crumbling down. I noticed first that they deleted me ingame. I messaged them asking basically " Why " and that " I thought we wanted to play together?" They started ignoring me, but before that they made me feel "safe" by telling me that they had enaugh funds its just PayPal's fault. So I was patient and gave them a week of a deadline but during that time I didnt even heard anything from them. And here I am. They owe me 160USD worth of art. Edit: 09/25/19 I've been paid!
  4. Back in July 2017 I applied for Dubmutt’s fursuit opening for a slot on their January-May 2018 queue. I wanted a fursuit head of my character Loki, he was to have magnetic eyelids, septum, and plugs. Everything seemed to be going well, I received an email accepting my commission and we moved forward from there. My suit was to be $920 with a $276 down payment. July 14th, 2017 I received the invoice and July 24th I made the down payment of $276. On December 26th 2017 I finished paying the invoice, and was told swatches would be sent out soon and I’d get an update when work was started. I reach out on February 2018 to see when swatches would be sent out as I was originally told beginning of December. I also wanted to see where I was at on the queue. Dubmutt told me swatches would be sent a month or so before starting and that I was scheduled for beginning of March. March 7th Dub reaches out to let me know they may need to cancel a few commissions while they focus on their health and that I will be updated. April 19th I reach out to dub out of curiosity of if my project was to be cancelled or completed. I was told mine was still scheduled. A few months go by so I message Dub on August 15th, 2018 to see if there’s been any updates. I am told they are finishing up two other suits and they were hoping to get to mine soon. January 8th, 2019 I reach out again to see if there was any progress. January 12th Dub replies to say they are finishing 3 suits and mine will be next, and to contact them through twitter from now on. August 31st I message Dub on twitter since it’s been quite a while, I ask if there are any updates or even an estimate on when my suit would even be started. September 9th Dub posts a PSA to twitter stating that they will be leaving the fandom, but owed commissions will be done. I haven’t heard from Dub since January 2019. At this point in time, I have received no word about my suit even being started. Update: 09/20/19
  5. Howdy for future comments! We do not allow people to report on "character theft" in which we compare how close one character is to another. Using someone's closed species against their wishes is absolutely worthy of gaining entry here. Coming in to say how this user made a character with the same elements as yours won't be approved.
  6. This is my first time writing a PSA, and I really didn't want to have to do this, but the lack of communication or regard for commissioners leads me to believe it's necessary -- if only to warn others in the interest of protecting their assets. I commissioned this artist on January 12th of this year, for two flat-colored pieces with a simple bg totaling $140 (transaction proof below). After the initial back and forth regarding references and payment, during which they were very fast to respond to me, I was content to wait and left them to their queue. On March 16th, I politely asked for an update given that I hadn't heard from them. There was no response, and I made another attempt on the 30th just in case they'd missed it. Finally, on April 20th, I decided the lack of reply was too uncomfortable to wait any longer, especially when they were still active on the twitter, stream, and tumblr accounts linked in their website. I filed a claim through PayPal a week after informing them of why I was doing it over both email and DeviantArt notes, since I don't have a twitter. I finally got what seemed like an apologetic and acceptable response on the 22nd, seen here asking me to close the claims in exchange for wip images. To my relief, they were able to provide them. My reply here. At this point, I was ready to close after seeing the very sketchy WIP images (NSFW, so they won't be posted here.) Please learn from my foolish mistake: if you ever feel the need to file a claim with paypal over a piece of artwork and consistently can't get a response, only close it once the work is finished. In retrospect, I was a pushover and I was way too ready to close the claim to avoid conflict. The last communication I received from them was on April 22nd sending me a second WIP. I sent a request for a few small changes in response. On June 8th, I sent another polite poke, followed by a more serious request on June 20th. I've gotten no response since. It's now been over seven months with only minimal and dodgy communication on their end, and none of the promised art. This is not a personal attack on @felixavenier , only an unfortunately necessary warning since they're a popular artist with a lot of commissioners. Please note that their ToS mentions frequent updates . Sadly, the impression I've been left with is that the only updates that will be given are if you threaten action via PayPal.
  7. Beware Written on September 11, 2019 Who: Ohmega Suit Studios/Ohm Protho/Ohmnog When: November 9 2017 - 2019 (Still ongoing) Where: ordered via Facebook messenger, other discussions via Twitter, Telegram, and via email What: A pair of all blue, no claws or pawpads: handpaws, feetpaws, and artwork- headshot Total amount: $231 -- most paid through friends and family Things to note: Ohm and I were friends at the time of the commission start, somewhere between it all we just fell through. Ohm will be referred to by they/them/theirs out of respect for their choice of pronouns. I understand the situation in which Ohm had injured their hand in 2017 and when they had to move out of their apartment in 2019 AZ due to AC and space issues. I understand there was a period of time where Ohm's messaging on almost all social media outlets was really glitched out and communication would be faltered. Hence why I decided to reach out to multiple at a time. I do not wish ill will towards them or their future, I really do wish and hope for Ohm to be successful in their endevours. Why: Failure to show updates of any kind, failure to keep client (myself) up to date, failure to provide a queue, communication issues, poor business practices. I would like to start off by saying, do not actively seek and harrass Ohm. This is an ordeal that is between the two of us, however, I am making this to make others aware of my situation and to warn others before possibly conducting business and/or trades. It has come to a point where I have to make this public in order to get some sort of confirmation, update and something set in stone from them. Back in 2017 I had just started really getting into the furry fandom. I had met Ohm online via Facebook and we started off being pretty good friends. I was so amazed to see their work and how much potential they had. I supported them in all of their work, progress images in art and suit making. I really looked up to Ohm and was so excited to have a new friend. Looking back at the screenshots, it seems as though I commissioned them for some artwork before we got to meet for the first time in person, also at my very first furcon. We talked about how our lives were and what we had planned for the future and I gifted them a very small badge. (I know the badge is irrelevant, but somewhere deep down I hope they still have it.) After meeting up with them at AZFC 2017 (just a few days prior Ohm had an accident where their hand got cut by their glass window.) I had saved up enough to be able to commission them for a set of feetpaws; specifically sockpaws. I had made my payments pretty quickly, all under friends and family because I knew I could trust them. I knew that they were my friend. (This was before I knew to always send payment for commissions in business PayPal.) I understood that I was going to be put at the bottom of the queue as there were others ahead of me. I wanted Ohm to feel comfortable knowing that I was going to be a reliable and understanding customer. If I remember correctly, a few people prior had either canceled commissions or asked for refunds from Ohm. I didn't want to cause anymore trouble or hassle than was needed. I do recall Ohm having trouble making ends meet for the apartment rent and even groceries a lot of times. I thought it might be helpful to add on to my order, handpaws, and to even buy artwork from them too, which were both added on at a later date. Throughout the whole process I did not have any knowledge of where I was on the queue, when my materials arrived, or when the sockpaws would even be started. The one time I did reach out to ask about it I was told that parts are not on the public queue because they would be done in-between bigger suit work. Ex: heads, bodysuits, etc. I was very patient and still hopeful, yet a bit weary at the lack of communication. Then there came a point where whenever I talked about my commissions I was ghosted. I would see Ohm's profile say "Online" and message them at those times, but never got responses. Then there came a point where what I wrote was not seen. I gave it some time, since I knew the IMs for Ohm was kinda glitchy, but then hours became days, days became weeks, and then months. Every chance I got to reach out to them it's always an, I'll get to you later. We can do it by x date. I'll be sure to get back to you. Deadlines came and went. Now here we are 3 years later I see commission after commission being completed. Heads, bodysuits, handpaws and feetpaws, many artworks, yet I have no idea where I am on the queue. I have absolutely no idea if my items have even been started since 2017. Now, I see Ohm opening up again for more commissions once more. I just want an honest answer, what happened to my order, to my items? I know now I won't be able to get my money back. As much as I don't want to admit it, I don't think I'll ever get my hands, feet, and art from them at all either. I know now that we're not friends anymore too. And it sucks that it had to end this way. I really wish the best for them, OhmegaSuitStudios can go far, but please Ohm, my once close friend, don't do this to anyone else. Don't let others wait for months, years even for a response on where they are on your queue. Leaving them wondering if you ever started on them. Making them feel like a burden to talk to you because the items have become the only thing to talk about. So that's why I wrote this beware. Be aware of what OhmegaSuitStudios, Ohmnog, Ohm Protho has done. I hope this never happens to anyone else. I hope I'm not too late either… Evidence: Note: I included all of their WIPS/Updates channel to date for proof of no knowledge of my own order being worked on Anything new will be added in the "new information" folder **All personal email, names, and addresses are drawn over for our privacy and protection. As of Sep 12, 2019 at 11:55 EST, I have been refunded in full. This beware will still stay up however as reference. All new evidence is in the "new information" folder. I can't believe it took almost 3 years for me to get refunded...
  8. I opened this YCH for 2 slots scene [NSFW] http://www.furaffinity.net/view/31649056/ This person noted me they wanted to claim both slots with the other person. The buyer replied giving me link to character's ref and email for PayPal invoice I have received the payment and started working on the order. On July 21st YCH had been already done and sent to both customers and was uploaded to my gallery. Also it shows that person had been read the note with the finished artwork. I didn't got any reply from this buyer, but since I had some similar not talkative customers, I assumed that everything is ok. But just recently, on April 30th, I discovered an open dispute in PayPal from Fijipupper with the only description "they scammed me, sadly". So I tried to contact Fijipupper using a messages in the dispute window and here through notes on the FA, but was ignored. After turning to PayPal, the case, unfortunately, was not closed in my favor. (Sorry for the bad quality, the schreenshot was made via phone) All of this has really stressed me out now. I used to get a case in PP before, but after talking with the customer everything was peacefully decided and closed. But seems not this time. In any case, I want to warn other artists to be really careful receiving orders from this person.
  9. So I went to check a my Paypal for a recent donation I made to Kofi and found out that you can file a chargeback through Paypal. They are considered transactions (as in goods and services) by Paypal and not donations (friends and family). Paypal takes the fee as it would for transactions when money exchanged via Kofi. I can't guaranteed that Paypal will side with you, but it might be the best option of getting your money back. Certainly worth a try.
  10. Legalities and moralities are two different things. Technically non refund clauses aren't illegal. If a client asks for a refund you cease all work and refund for work not done. That's good business, and no payment processor will deny a client a refund if OP chooses to go the route of a chargeback. It doesn't matter if the artist "intends to finish" because the client has made it known they do not wish for this transaction to continue. If the client had asked for a refund and the artist finished it anyway, then we would have put that through. That's incredibly unprofessional. An artist shouldn't spend money they haven't earned. Realistically that isn't always possible, but they aren't denying a refund based on not having the money. They're denying the refund on something entirely not their business. Edit: Edited to add "work not done" because I realize our user base is bigger than the old Livejournal base where good business practices were often discussed in the past.
  11. Commission was asked for through DM's on twitter. Invoice was paid on the 29th of July Commission was completed 30th of July and delivered/received. Dispute was made August 15th User seems to have changed their twitter handle in that time. ( Previously @ FoxyAnya_ | Currently Aika_productions ) I have included the form reference link opened as a screenshot and a screenshot of the character ref provided via DM to prove it is the same commissioner by reference given despite the name change. I contacted them via DM and learned that they were on the used paypal account with their guardian. (I also speculate this is why the invoice e-mail is different from the dispute e-mail on paypal) The guardian has filed the dispute. After further discussion with the client it appears they asked for the commission. Paid for it, and now the guardian is disputing. I requested to be put in contact with the guardian to try to resolve this. Client dodged this request. I inquired if they had text proof of the guardian granting permission for them to get the commission through the account. They said yes, they had texted it. When I asked for a screenshot for my paypal case they stated they could not find it and stopped responding. Paypal dispute is still pending. I have provided all information I could to paypal at this point, however, as this client claims to not be in charge of the paypal account they utilize I felt this warranted a warning.
  12. Person with (severe) anxiety that leads to actual memory blackouts chiming it FWIW (disclaimer: my experience w/ mental illness is not everyone's, what I have to say is pure anecdata): Anxiety does not tend to make me forget about $450 transactions. Anxiety makes me much more acutely aware of $450 transactions because $450 is a lot of money and that kind of burden of wealth actually tends to stick in my anxiety-riddled brain. So I dunno, there's no way to state for sure what her mental state might be, but "my anxiety made me forget about an entire extended conversation over multiple days (timestamps on FA notes are Aug 2nd and 3rd so it's not like an hour long conversation that it's possible to black out, it's at least two days of correspondence) and that someone sent me $450 dollars" is extremely suspect. To be honest it's the fact that the conversation about the transaction with the other person took place over at least two days that make me doubt the legitimacy of the "anxiety" thing, as generally, these blackout fugue states don't tend to last multiple days - and also generally, these blackout fugue states tend to come with mental lethargy that makes doing things as complicated as detailed correspondence and large transactions pretty difficult. At least for me, when I have these blackouts, I mostly just do stupid shit like put my wallet in the fridge crisper drawers or peel half a potato for no reason and then leave it in the sink. Again, this is all purely just me. I'm not going to try to speak with authority on how other people's mental illness impacts them. But even if it is legitimate, I just think saying, "Yes, I did this. It was wrong of me to do, I apologise for my actions. I'll discuss refunds with you and the other person involved to rectify this situation" would suffice. I'm so sorry you got burned like this, OP. It's such an ugly situation, and I truly hope you get your full refund.
  13. Until something is done to protect people who pay for fursuits, this will always happen. There is too much power in the hands of the suit makers and this just opens the way up to scammers. Paying over 3000$ upfront for something and having a no-refund policy slammed in your face is disgusting. I get that this person didn't nessaserily have a no-refund policy, but you never really got a refund anyway. This is why from now on I'll be paying the whole amount at once through goods and services, and if progress isn't made within the PayPal deadline for a refund, I'll be making a claim. Been scammed way to often by fursuit makers, and something needs to be done. Cost of the materials up front, payment on completion. That's how it should be. I'm sorry you had so much trouble. Some Fursuit makers, new and old, seem to be getting way too greedy and taking way more orders than they can handle. Because fursuits take way to long to make after payment, PayPal will not cover the refund because "too much time has passed" this really has to be addressed somehow.
  14. I commissioned this artist to make a character sheet for my OC for $100. I paid upfront. Though he was iffy about the proposed due date, he said he'd do his best and I was willing to allow wiggle room. I contacted him a month later (May 23rd) to ask about progress. He said he'd get back to me, but didn't until June 27th, saying I "Slipped" his "mind". I poke him again on July 20th, and he claims that he's been sick all month. I send one "hello" message on August 8th and another on August 17th. No response. During this entire time, CozyCollie has been tweeting about accepting more commissions and doing YCH's. The screenshots I provide are of our DM's and some posts he's made regarding taking more commissions after I paid him for mine.

  16. syrae_universe WHO: Dogpuke WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/ WHAT: One digital Lineart pinup of their character. (Completed on May 30th, 2012) WHEN: May 20st, 2012 (Payment was made on May 20th, 2012) PROOF: Notes http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE_COMPLETE.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE_OUTBOX_NORESPONCE.png Link that proves it was completed. (Tumblr) Emails: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/EMAIL3.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/EMAIL2.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/Paypalinfo.png EXPLAIN: Okay. This commissioner sent me notes on both accounts for both a furcadia portrait and a digital pinup of their character. I told them that ports are closed (Due to certain reasons I won't go in) and that the others are opened. She sent me 25.00 USD via PayPal on the 20th of May. After it was done, I posted it up on my tumblr account since I only posted up on my galleries on Saturdays only. It saves me the hassle. Around June 1st, I get this email from PayPal that the commissioner opened a claim to get their money back after I just finished it. As shown above, I sent a note asking why is she filing a claim, but didn't get an answer. So, I returned to give evidence to Paypal stating that I did what I was paid to, showed evidence and turned it in (gone now since they moved on with the claim.) since they are not going to respond to me immediately. I know they've read the email but said nothing or had given me an excuse. Today, I received an email from paypal that the credit card company took their money. In result of this, the chargeback settlement fee was 20.00, which left me 9.03 in the red (Which usually entails that I am in the negative.) I was very upset about this because I'm never in the negatives. I did call paypal about it and they are disputing it with the company on my behalf. They also put back the chargeback fee so I'm no longer in the negative. I've still yet to get a reason behind this and I've talked to a few other artists that have yet to be paid by this commissioner. I wanted to leave a forewarning about this person in particular because you might get conned out of your hard earned money. This has still yet to be resolved since I didn't get my money back for drawing this picture in particular. All screenshots are posted above. Actual name of commissioner has been removed. Mine has not. Update: Sadly, I got an email back regarding my dispute and it reads: "As you know, we have been using the information you provided to dispute a chargeback filed against the transaction detailed below. Despite our best efforts, the buyer's credit card company decided in favor of the buyer. Unfortunately, we do not control the outcome of the chargeback decision reached by the buyer's issuing bank in a credit card transaction. By accepting the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, you agreed to accept the decision of the issuing bank as final and legally binding for this type of dispute." So I didn't get my money back.
  17. May. 19th, 2012 at 1:00 PM mmyesidosay EDIT: As of this morning Vella has issued me a refund and what I feel to be a sincere apology. I'd like this to be marked resolved, and if she comes across the drawings in the recovery of her PC, I'm more than happy to pay for them then. :) EDITEDIT: Vella was able to find my two drawings and send them along my way. I returned her refund, as they look fantastic, and again, she was very pleasant. I've been a bit iffy about posting this for several days now, but my jimmies are rustled, and not quite sure how to proceed. I feel bad about doing this, as I KNOW the artist has been going through rough times, so I apologize, I've just no idea whats going on with my commissions, and repeated attempts to find out have been ignored. WHO: VellaCRaptor WHERE: http://vellacraptor.deviantart.com/ and http://vellacraptor.livejournal.com/ are the accounts I was able to get in contact with her through. WHAT: Two small portrait commissions totally $4 I believe, offered via TeenyCom (http://teenycom.livejournal.com/1063202.html) WHEN: Ongoing since early October of last year. PROOF: Initial transaction made in the comments of her TeenyCom post. I'd been having issues with PayPal, so asked for confirmation via notes to be sure she got my payment. When she did not respond, I asked again, and was finally sure it had cleared into her account. EXPLAIN: When Vella offered small commissions to be done in between her larger ones, I fully expected a wait, and was completely okay with that. Her art is adorable, and I was so excited~ But as the months ticked by with no word at all, I decided to dredge up the post and see if anyone else had gotten their art. A few here and there had, but took me a bit to actually find out what the issue had been. Okie Dokie, seems her computer crashed. Bad things like that happen, I wasn't at all upset, though I had wished she had told us that there would be some form of delay or issue. Vella gets an Artists_Beware post sometime after this I believe, where she states that she rarely checks LiveJournal anymore. It was now early April, and I still haven't heard word, so I shoot her a note via FurAffinity, which goes unread: Normally I would have waited a bit longer before trying again, but hadn't heard from her in so long, I figured I'd go ahead and shoot her an email as well, my reasoning being that if she had stopped checking FA as well, I'd be silly for me to try that as my only means of communication. And again, my email goes unanswered: I sit around for a few weeks, before finally realizing she has a DeviantArt. I shoot her a note, and finally, a response! Just.. telling me that yes, she'll still do them. I'm missing a note where I get excited and thank her for her response, but after several days of nothing once again, I ask for a possible date she might be finished with them. And once more, this note goes unread. (please remember to read DA notes bottom to top!): Aaaaaaaand then nothing. I can see her popping on and off DA multiple times a day, so to be ignored feels pretty bad. Finally, I decide that $4 isn't worth this sort of aggravation, and ask for a refund. It gets read, but no response. I send another note, and I apologize to both AB and the artist if I got snippy, I've never been in a situation like this before, and was getting pretty fed up with the lack of communication. As soon as I send this one, I get a response, with nothing more than 'I thought you already got yours'. Okay, maybe I was a dick and had. I go back and check all y accounts, and nope, no response from her in any of them. I tell her this, and as of today (May 19th), my note has still been unread. I'm at a loss. If my art has already been completed, then fantastic! Im okay with delays, Im just so frustrated with not having any idea whats going on. The only way I found out there was a problem at all was by drudging through her conversations with other commissioners in that TeenyCom post. I know shes been having issues IRL, but just a quick note to acknowledge that she at least remembers I'm on some list somewhere would have been fantastic. After seeing Vella's last A_B post, I had really hoped things would get better, it's been well past PayPal's refund date, so Im at a loss. Thanks all for your time and any suggestions!
  18. Apr. 24th, 2012 at 9:21 PM pumpkin314 WHO: Stellary/Absinthe aka Inky/Stellary on Chatlands WHERE: main base: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/absinthe, commission transactions took place on TheTotemLands (prior to closing) and on Serenity Isles WHAT: 2 "poses" from TTL ($8 each [edit, my email says $6 was sent for the one pose which was completed, but I believe the other two were considered $8 as the ref was $20, if I remember correctly]) and 3 poses on Serenity ($13) each; one owed TTL pose completed WHEN: Commission began around June 2009 PROOF: Original emails (TTL): Commission on Serenity: Note asking for a refund: Recent emails asking for an update/refund: Recent PM on wolfhome asking for information: Unfortunately I have no paypal screenshots of the transaction as the account I used to pay has since been closed, however I would assume that her replying she had received payment should be enough proof on my end. EXPLAIN: Back in 2009 I commissioned Inky for a refsheet of my character, however I changed it from a ref to 2 chat poses (and got a third pose later which was completed) and told her to keep the extra (as seen in first email) [also this proof is lost as TTL has been closed and I never thought to get screenshots of these PMs]. This art was never completed and I lost contact with her. In 2011 she posted a topic to sell poses again on the chat SerenityIsles and I contacted her then about the owed art and was interested in getting some new commissions. One of the owed poses was completed and that was all. Later in the year I attempted to contact her as she had posted another topic selling custom chat poses. At this point she said she would probably no longer do poses but could instead offer me another type of art in place of these poses. Unfortunately, life got the best of me and I was unable to reply for a few more months, this is my fault completely and not a lack of communication on her part. However, I emailed her again almost two weeks ago without response. A few days after sending the most recent email I forwarded it again to her. Tonight (4/24) I tried to send her a private message on another chatlands forum she was taking commissions on. She has read the message but has yet to respond. EDIT: Finally got a response from her. I sent her a second PM on the forum she is actively making poses on and got a response. Private Messages: For the record here is the previously mentioned email about being "banned": I will accept blame for the email not being sent immediately. I had written it up and attempted to send it from my school wifi on my phone but must have left the wifi zone and caused it to wait in my outbox until I was back home and using stable wifi. The choice to keep her from selling on Serenity was not only my choice, as stated in my replies, but the choice of several team members giving their input and opinions on the matter. She had taken not only my money but the money of other users on Serenity and they were, luckily, refunded. And I managed to dig out the transaction in my paypal history: And her topic on the Wolfhome forums actively selling poses: I was honestly shocked that she was treating me so unprofessionally because of a grudge about a supposed ban on her account on the chat I manage. Whether I had banned her or not I would hope that she would be able to treat me respectably and professionally as this is a business transaction between two people, when money is involved there should be no room for grudges. EDIT 2: Taking on more commissions: Recent journal about how little she cares (yet needs to make a spectacle of not caring): http://screencast.com/t/Qhjj8g7805 http://screencast.com/t/D1Pixolf (no time for art but still managing to complete her own personal art as well as premade characters) Art she has completed recently: Sketch of ref sheet: http://screencast.com/t/7KUk7Q6hG5v Completed ref sheet (finished within 24 hours): http://screencast.com/t/bYzwDyIvZP Premade "hell hound" sales: Topic posted: http://screencast.com/t/gC2ppMqURLM Final bid: http://screencast.com/t/AkIa3INBQQ She claims to have no time to draw due to her work schedule, but she is able to create sketches for herself and even had the time to finish a ref sheet. Since taking the pose commissions on WolfHome she has completed one and has created several poses for herself (here are two of these: http://screencast.com/t/t6t2hmk7No8). She has also been able to make and sell premade characters (I know not too much work goes into these but still she could use the time to work on commissions). She went and made a journal about how little she cares about being posted here, which shows she will most likely never change her ways as she does not care about her reputation or how others view her. I'm giving a short break between my last PM to her and my next one, so she can not say I have not been patient. EDIT 3: More comments from her "I don't care" journal: http://screencast.com/t/PhCTc802oN She's posted a journal asking people to leave a comment in order to receive a refund. Oddly enough, this is exactly what happened with me last time and she ended up not refunding me anyway. Here's the journal: http://screencast.com/t/sAppy7EcpAD I also don't feel like I should have to comment on her journal just to remind her of what she owes me when I told her less than a week ago. Will keep this updated as it all unfolds!
  19. Apr. 18th, 2012 at 5:08 AM anime_amy Hello everyone. I wanted to bring attention to an artist and see if anyone else has had any issues with Sarcy - FA is http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sarcy . My husband and I had gotten to know her and her husband at AC 2010. She posted a journal that they were in a bit of a financial crunch and would be doing full sketchbook commissions for $150 to be filled over the course of a month. My husband wanted to help them out, so we commissioned her for a sketchbook. This was on August 30th, 2010. We sent payment that same day. Initially all was well; we received updates and saw a few sketches that were in the book over the next few months (the sketches that she showed for progress I can no longer find in her gallery). Our last communication through notes with Sarcy was on March 30th, 2011, where she stated that she didn't think that she could finish it and offered us a full refund, which she could pay off in it. My husband had talked with her husband multiple times over instant messaging, and we had been in several of her streams, and understood that they were going through some rough times at that point, too. We responded to her, letting her know that we did want to pay her for the work that she had done, and even if she didn't want to finish it, that we'd still like to have the art that she did do, and offered that if she wanted to pay us a partial amount (that we never settled on) we'd be more than willing to do that. Her response was that she was having some personal issues, and never really addressed whether she would refund us the partial amount, or full amount, or how we should proceed. The last communication we had with her was on a journal that I had posted before our wedding looking for some wedding-themed commissions; She replied to it, and said that if we wanted, she would do a commission in exchange for knocking off some of the money that she owed us for the sketchbook (which we hadn't seen any money from at all). We have not heard anything more from her at this point, and wanted to make other commissioners aware of our situation, as well as see if there are any other people that are in a similar situation as us. *UPDATE* I wanted to post a follow up to this, I just received a note from Sarcy stating that she was going to be paying us back. Will update this once payments start being made.
  20. I've unfortunately had a similar experience with this artist in the past. At Anthrohio 2018, I purchased a full body badge from them. Not only did they leave the con early without notifying any commissioners (I literally only found out through their twitter), but they still haven't shipped the badge out. I lost all of our recent telegram conversation due to deleting my account (personal reasons) but I do have some old screenshots. https://imgur.com/a/WqnSNeo I did not ask them about it again until March of 2019 due to a lot of things happening in my personal life (moved to a whole different country in November, had a lot on my mind to prep/get ready for that) but I asked about it in March of this year, after I returned back home. They said they'd ship it out that week. They also mentioned to me in passing that they had been using the badge as a fullbody example at conventions, which made no sense as their excuse was poor memory/kept forgetting to ship it. I obviously mean no ill will or anything by posting my experience with this artist, but I'm glad I could finally share it with people, and that others had a similar experience.
  21. Feb. 2nd, 2012 at 7:55 PM lolitaofthevoid WHO: Stellary/MuffinButton, via SpaceInvaders WHERE: http:///furaffinity.net/user/spaceinvaders WHAT: A refund for a flash-coded ref sheet WHEN: July 2nd, 2011 PROOF: - original paypal receipt http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/GothicLolita66/refundnotes.png - The notes between Alex and I, and the one I sent to Stellary. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/GothicLolita66/notes1-1.png - screencap of my outbox, showing that my note was read. Orange marks near the first note to SI and the one to Stellary. EXPLAIN: I ordered a ref sheet from them in July. There was a bit of an argument because their journal had said "send payment within twenty-four hours of claiming your spot", so I sent it after I requested one. Stellary and Alex got upset with me as they had not discussed it with me before I sent it, but apologized and said that yes, I could have a slot since I paid. I apologized for misinterpreting their journal, and all seemed well. It was my error, please do not judge me badly for it. I was overexcited and I made amends. Near the end of July they posted a journal stating that they would be willing to issue refunds, though, for those who wished it. Proof: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2564103/ I waited until November, with still no sign of activity. I sent the account a note (they asked not to be messaged on the personal accounts about them) asking for one on the 15th. Alex told me to speak with Stellary about it. I sent her a note, asking for a refund, letting her know Alex had pointed me to her. She read the note, but never replied. (note screenshots are up top under Proof, they're a little bit small) I don't want to start a fight, and I know they already has posts about the sheets, but I didn't want to necromance them back to life. This is my first AB. I know that times are rough for almost everyone, believe me I understand, but it doesn't look like they are ever going to be completed. I do want to say that I appreciate Alex responding to my notes and being kind ^^ Edit: Including both, since they did split the payment. Edit: Alex was super-nice and is gonna send me his half. Thank you Alex! Edit: Sent Stellary a new inquiry note. I will update if it gets read or I get a reply. (unread, journal posted, see below) Edit: After reading this journal, I sent her an actual email: Email Here Edit: She replied promptly. -Email Response- Edit: I got Alex's refund in the mail today. =] Feel free to remove him! Thank you Alex! Edit: She moved accounts again, to Muffinbutton. Be sure to watch out for that account as well.
  22. Hi. This is a story of two buyers who didn't pay us for our work. A little explanation before I start: I work together with FyreDraygg. I take care of public relations and make some types of commission; he doesn't talk to our buyers, but is always informed by me about everything he has to know. This is stated on our Terms of Service, automatically accepted when someone decides to commission us. That being said, let's start. Terri contacted us on 6 December 2018 asking for a Night in The Woods graphic (a type of commission FyreDraygg does) featuring four characters. (If you're unfamiliar with the platform it's Plus Messenger. It's Telegram with a different interface) (I know the correct total was 26€ (6,5 x 4 = 26€) when I wrote 24€, , I made a mistake, but I let that slide even after I noticed.) Then they proceeded sending us the character references. I gave them an indicative date as, per policy, we can't ensure any completion date. I also explained them FyreDraygg will work on their piece (even if they should have known reading our ToS or, simply, my FurAffinity page). We chatted a little bit, nothing relevant for this. They contacted me on 12 December 2018, 2 January 2019, 28-29 January 2019 and 7 April 2019 asking about the WIP. As I told them before, I have a proper channel where I send any update on any commission I'm working on, to let people know what I'm working on, but I still accept people asking me privately. Finally, on 22 May 2019 I send them the final picture; I know, we took so long, but again we give no guarantees about completion dates and this is clearly stated in our ToS. Then, problems arose. Again, as per our policy: "A situation where we finish our job and the client delays payment due to not having the required funds available is not at all acceptable and lands said client directly in the blacklist, along with us reporting such incidents to all market platforms." ...but I tried to be understanding: we took a lot of time and I've decided to be more patient in turn. I was still annoyed because it was just about 6€ per person, not a really large amount, but I kept this for myself. I just wanted to be payed, nothing else, I didn't care about judging other people's finances. Then I contacted them on 27 May 2019, 10 June 2019 and lastly 21 June 2019. It was becoming a large problem because I had to file my tax declaration and I needed this payment to be done asap. I also explained this problem to them. Then, they forwarded a message from another person (a friend who was taking part to this commission), apologizing and promising we will receive payment very soon (I'm censoring personal emails & Paypal addresses). Then, suddenly they asked to change the price because "2 of the characters weren't used at all". We had been graceful enough to decline charging them extra delay fees when offered, the commission was already dirt-cheap discounted to begin with and while we took a long time to deliver, this gave them plenty of time to notice they weren't using a character and telling us about it. Furthermore, after receiving the WIP, they had yet another chance to ask for changes, which they didn't and now, when pressed for payment, they magically discover issues with the work. They also complained about us not sending them any WIPs, which we clearly provided as a release candidate due to the nature of the work. Thus, since work on 4 characters had already been done, that work would have to be paid. We couldn't send any invoice via Paypal any earlier because we didn't have any email to send it to; the buyer seemed extremely reluctant to provide any such information and had to be solicited multiple times before complying. The invoice expiration date was set for 15 days after issuing (my email is a public business email, I don't feel the need to censor it) and Maxx promised to pay after Friday (it was June 21, then payment should have been sent after June 28). As you can see from the screenshot I took today it's still "on hold", while the second one (from another person) is paid. Just a comparison if you're not familiar with Italian. The invoice will technically expire tomorrow, but since we are way past any set deadlines, we figured we weren't going to receive any payment and decided to cancel this order, ban these buyers from our service and initiatives and report them to the proper platforms as stated in our ToS. I perfectly understand things can be hard in life, we took a lot of time to complete this piece, but on the other hand if a person commissions some work from someone else, they should keep the proper funds available by setting money aside from the start, not pay at their leisure and blaming it on the worker for completing their work at an inconvenient time. I also offered them to pay after a WIP because I know it could took more time than expected. And again, we're talking about 6€ per person; I don't think someone who struggles to set aside the price of a 12-pack of Pepsi should preoccupy themselves with ordering art, but that's just my personal opinion. These users contacted me on Telegram and, apart from personal emails, I don't have any other contact. I give you name, nickname and id because it's all I have directly; after some sleuthing I found Terri on FurAffinity. Terri J. 23. Hey there, I am also dealing with this "person". Paid my comission back in late 2017 in full ( $1475 ) and was promised a delivery by February 2018. Sadly after a couple month excused were being made and only the head was delivered ( broken ). Which was then send back in for repairs on my cost. After that communication basicly died for almost half a year, my messages were not read or replied to. Later I was offered a full refund due to them having a new job. After that complete silence again and never heard a word again. Last contact for me was 21st May 2019. Their Facebook page, including all the "positive" reviews, has been deleted today 16th August 2019. Here is their Furaffinity Accounts : https://www.furaffinity.net/user/pupnfluff/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Cullion and Twitter https://twitter.com/spiritwolven As I sit in germany, I contacted my lawyer, but sadly it is not feasible for me to try and go to court in the US otherwise I would have. I know of 3 other persons, who I have contact with, who have also been scammed by this person.
  24. Regarding fursuit care instructions, I can offer up a few things: Washing/Cleaning -Faux fur is safe to put in the wash, but I would turn the suit inside-out first. This will give you access to the digitigrade padding, which may allow you to remove it (If you do remove it, take notes/pictures of what you removed from where, and maybe also mark the pieces with a fabric marker so that you can put them back together in the right place). -Always wash your suit in cold water. -A delicate detergent is generally ideal, but your mileage may vary. (Sometimes, carpet cleaner is the only thing that works.) Some detergents, delicate or not, don't interact well with some furs. If you have concerns and have some of the fur available fur repairs, test it on a scrap piece before using it on your suit. -If you use a washing machine, use a delicate cycle. Also put your suit into a laundry bag to prevent it from getting caught on anything. Put your paws, hand and foot, into pillow cases to keep them from getting any weird stains onto anything else. -If you're hand-washing, your tub is your friend and you can use it for soaking. Drying -Fans are helpful. Very helpful. -Do not use heat for drying. It will melt the fur. -While a lot of folks will hang up their suits to dry, the weight of the damp fur can cause stretching at the shoulders. At Con Care -Dryer sheets are super useful for quickly drying out your head and paws. Scented ones can also help combat odors. -Disinfecting sprays (water and rubbing alcohol) are your friend and will help keep your suit fresh between wears. Keep the spray away from anything airbrushed or electronic on your suit. You may also need to keep it away from the eyes, depending on how they've been made. -If you haven't, invest in some UnderArmor and a balaclava to help keep moisture away from the suit whenever possible. -Take frequent breaks and put your health at a priority over anyone else's idea of magic. Travel -Have some kind of tote for travel. Some folks have things like footlockers. Others have plastic totes. I use a hard-shell suitcase. Hope that helps with some of the confusion around fursuit care. Sorry I can't help with any of the other issues!
  25. We can mark it approved yes, just give us the heads up when the refund is completed and we'll do so. Very glad to know she made a point to contact you and resolve things, it's always good to hear when anyone is able to own up to the issue and address the problem considerately.
