  1. Oh! He claims the account is deleted, but Paypal allows numerous emails to be associated with an account anyhow. We're not in the business of releasing personal information, but if we did he could easily just change out the primary email address. Edit: I also don't think Paypal would do that either as that could be a big legal no no.
  2. Sorry, what do you mean by "released"?
  3. From the conversations here it sounds like it was a block of transactions reported. This isn't abnormal if a CC was reported as stolen. We still don't know if it was his CC or not.
  4. It's not through PayPal. It's through their bank, which Paypal has no control over. The most they can do is remove the $20 chargeback fee. A good way to distinguish if it's a chargeback vs a dispute is that a fee is involved with a chargeback. A dispute is handled through PayPal and doesn't involve fees.
  5. I don't understand why he keeps saying "I need to make an account". There is no "account" with Zelle. The major US banks all came together and decided to make Zelle their bank-to-bank transfer system. It's right here in my WF account, no Zelle account necessary. This whole fiasco is incredibly fishy.

  8. Yes and no. If there is a repeated history of disputes and claims through an account, then they may consider abuse of their dispute and claim system. However in this instance it's a chargeback, which is handled by the credit card company not PayPal. Artists are reporting the reason is unauthorized use. Issuing chargebacks on a large amount of transactions in a time frame is "normal" for unauthorized use. With that said we don't know if he truly took someone else's CC or if he's trying to get out of paying his CC bill.
  9. Someone pointed me to this on Twitter, and what's more likely is that they used a CC they didn't have authorization to use or spent a lot of money and have buyer's remorse. Either way various banks have ways of filing chargebacks, and all of them require you to either fill out a form or contact someone. So it's definitely not out of nowhere, a "glitch", or an "accident".
  10. Please don't! We only accept character theft posts if it is the exact same character, and aren't here to judge how similar characters are to each other.
  11. It was asked to be excluded by us because the telegram chat in question had a lot of third parties in it, and we were unsure of the level of privacy this chat had or has. It isn't anything different than the journal other than other users and the artist calling the OP names. OP was never directly named. The artist called OP an "idiot". The artist was frustrated that the PayPal dispute could put their account in jeopardy due to the no adult rule for paypal. Edit: refreshed myself on the chat, so it's more accurate now.
  12. I'm curious what part of what the artist said was false, and when did they publicly name you? Slander (in this case libel as it"s written) is not "someone said things I don't like about me". It's specifically "someone said something directly about me that is false to specifically financially harm me." As a moderator it's our job to be as impartial as possible, but nothing the artist has said is libel. You attempted to gain the entirety of the amount back, and you most certainly are not entitled to that. Also 26 hours is still a short amount of time. She's right. Not everyone is available constantly or consistently. I've easily pulled 16 hr shifts at work and can take longer than 26 hours to respond.
  13. Yes it was originally submitted as a beware, but we downgraded it. There's no way this qualifies for a beware. The like feature is disabled for mods, but I'm in full agreement with Armaina.
  14. This is one of those weird ones where I personally see what you indicated in your reference sheet, but can also see how the second fix would be debatable. I would definitely suggest making a close up detail shot of those as a quick go through of your gallery shows that it's done in a variety of different ways.
  15. Howdy! 1. Yes you should make a new post for every customer. Their name will go in the Topic Title, and all of their working names will go in the tags section. See the artist section for examples: https://artistsbeware.info/forums/forum/18-artist-positive-reviews/ Now that your client has a thread, anyone else who has had a good experience with them can come in and "second" your post with their own positive review. 2. There is no time frame! Each positive review is going to be unique to you. The purpose of this site is for users to make informed choices on who to do business with. So if a client has had numerous good reviews, but maybe earned one bad one later, people can read and decide for themselves if this person is someone they want to work with. If ever you feel like you need to retract a positive review you've made because of a chargeback scenario, that's ok! Contact any member of staff, and we will pull it.

  17. What you've already mentioned throws up a number of red flags. If you want to wait more, I don't suggest waiting much longer. I'd say you're well within your right to request a refund (and force if needed) if the deadline is very close to approaching.
  18. They've delivered two personal deadlines and let it slide twice. At this point an ultimatum of a time limit for delivery should be considered. If they don't deliver in the time frame (two weeks?) then a refund should be warranted.
  19. Archives are currently locked so that our Helpers can work essentially in a sandbox. Once they are done you will be able to comment on the entries like any normal entry, which includes offering updates.
  20. Hiya. It's stated in multiple places that we do not delete posts ever. It would defeat the purpose of our archives. Posts are marked as resolved.
  21. Sweet jesus that's on me for working this beware before coffee. If you see something that major please dont leave a comment. File a report or PM me. I almost didnt check my email because it was just a comment notif.
  22. A post has been hidden because it appears to contain personal information. As a note we do not allow irl names. If there is definite proof the artist goes under different names, feel free to contact one (1) moderator with absolute proof it's the same person. Proof includes: - Same images - Same public emails - A public notice the account is a side account. Unacceptable proof is: - "Same style"
  23. Hiya this is something only staff can answer when looking at it in the queue with your proof supplied. If you feel it is something others should know about please submit.
  24. Ultimately it's their right to block whoever they want, and choose not to do business with whoever they want. I don't see it as unnecessary personally.
