About Me

  1. Remember that artists should see you as their boss when you've paid them for work. You should never feel ashamed speaking up to an artist if they are negligent. Just be polite as rikki said and as an artist myself, I have to admit I prefer to remain professional without a lot of social chit chat with clients. And I, personally, am not part of some inner circle and see that kind of behavior as negative. We're not all the same.
  2. Thanks Rikki, I'll keep that in mind next time. I'm usually a bit hesitant since I've kinda scared myself into thinking that artists tend to have an inner circle and if you give them trouble, they'll blacklist you and spread the word to avoid this particular client. But after so long, I think enough was enough. So, yeah, I'll do that next time! Thank you ?
  3. Oh yeah I'll definitely be watermarking all WIPs from now on; I was really naïve when I first started taking commissions, and I thought that if I was friendly to commissioners, they would be friendly back. It never occurred to me that I could be seriously taken advantage of; I've had a few somewhat rough experiences, but this one has definitely been the worst. If any of you guys don't watermark WIPs or don't charge at least partially upfront, you'll be taken advantage of; please learn from my mistakes, guys ^^;
  4. Ooh, definitely blocking that one. Just.. honestly what goes on in some people's heads? Even art that is paid for the artist retains copyright to except if they've explicitly signed that right away (for a sizeable sum, hopefully). Your art, he owns nothing - especially since he didn't even pay for it! Just laugh in his face and go on your merry way.
  5. I don't want to go dark, but are we sure the user is...still with us? It seems weird that they've just gone radio silent for so long.
  6. I'm not surprised to see Goldenwolf here. She was the worst commission experience I've had, back in 2010. I'm sorry you had a rough time OP, specially ruining a friendship, but I'm glad her lack of professionalism is more public.
  7. If he hasn't actually given you the final image then it really isn't resolved, unless you're willing to accept what he's given you thus far.
  8. The issue has been resolved. Please remove this post already
  9. I meant no ill-intention by "literate furs" you already justified they were a friend. That's a good exception of not having to read it, although a lesson to us (me included) to maybe give it a read in the future. We trust people we know, it's what we do, I'm sorry that it's something we (not just you) will have to stop doing even with friends, just to ensure fairness in a transaction of art services.
  10. There are a lot of problems with this artist's ToS but I don't think refusing to work with unpleasant people is a red flag in general*. In my ToS I state that I won't work with someone who's proven themselves to be arrogant, rude or unpleasant - but, I do state that if they've paid already, they will receive a full refund (even if I've started work). I had to implement this because of one persistent and incredibly rude commissioner who tries to circumvent my main block on his account by following me on his alts LOL. *You have to take this with a bit of context of course, starting the commission after 12-17 months is absolutely unnacceptable, especially since it's outside paypal's 180 day buyer protection timeframe, and given this artist's massive, years-long queue.
  11. Reading this hit me pretty hard; she's done the exact same thing to me, multiple times. Thought I was supporting a friend in her art pursuits; good to know I was just being bled for more. I should write one of these up...got commissions from her from as far back as 2017, maybe longer.
  12. Since I'm not too sure how the new site works, and I'm not able to edit my goof out of my beware submission, I'd like to add that my refund has been properly processed and my business with BluHuny has officially concluded.
  13. Hunny needs to stop taking new commissions and do something about the work he's owed. His communication is bad and his TOS is also shady. "You may request a refund only within a 48 hour window of your first payment." It sounds like after 48 hours he won't allow any refunds, period.
  14. Also the twitter handle link is dead but searching it really shows that there's far more victims in this.
  15. UPDATE!! The refund has been processed and got transferred to my bank. Just need my one slot and this Beware will be officially resolved.
  16. Update: Ryun responded to my note inquiring about attending a stream commish session. Will keep the thread updated if I do receive something or not.
  17. Holy. Heck. I'm so sorry anyone has had to endure abuse from this man, but I commend you all for sharing your stories. I will definitely be avoiding them, and I greatly appreciate the warnings.
  18. We have a discord going with many of the artists, and I believe Kei is getting in contact with a few of them via email letting them know where things stand. Legal action is being considered, and I can confirm that some artists who have left are still finding their prints being sold. Inkedfur has an Ebay account ( i cannot say how often it is used) but we found several daki's there from members who had left inkedfur.
  19. Gather all the artists affected and take him to court for violating contract and not paying out. I knowna few good too many artists who took part in this and it's utter nonsense this is happening to them. Their art is being sold for someine else's profit. It's theft and just downright wrong.
  20. I know InkedFur was surrounded with several controversies in the past, but had still planned to try getting some of my stuff on their site. Not now. I can't believe a business that so many people seem to know and want to buy from is so terribly unprofessional.

    Beware: Yajuuu

The answer to that would be both. We aren't here to gawk at someone's personal struggles or to speculate on their financial situation. She is going through a dire medical situation, and that's all that needs to be said.

    Beware: Yajuuu

A post from Tentacles1 was not approved for excessive personal information. Please review the commenting guidelines. And quite frankly, many artists and service workers exist every day going through rough situations and manage to not be rude to their clients just fine. If it truly is that bad then its time to refund and take recovery time.
  23. I read this comment and sighed deeply. I get what you're trying to say, but your post ends up coming off as a defense of Yajuu. There is no way of knowing, unless Yajuu comes here and says so herself, whether she is going to give the customer their money back, or what's going on in her head. Frankly, I don't distinguish between rudeness and lashing out. They're both unprofessional and mean, and there are other ways of handling stress that don't involve blocking a customer or biting their head off. She could make a post saying, "Hey, everyone, I'm dealing with a medical situation. I need this next week to recover and then I'll be responding to notes again." I think she needs to re-assess how she treats her customers. I looked at her Twitter this morning and her recent post is a flippant, "Refunded..." with by a post immediately after that with some snoring. That's not cool.

    Beware: Yajuuu

Haha, should have said that instead of posting this: not "slightly leaving" but clearly states "NO LONGER ON FA, SORRY <3" It also still does not change the fact that they are only taking to "their clients", which I am no longer considered. I am not going out of my way chasing down an artist that did me wrong ^ w^
  25. An artist should never block a client they owe money/art to. Part of our jobs is keeping in touch and replying to clients. I do not see anywhere where the OP 'yelled' at her either. They have essentially left OP with no way to contact them, and have to just hope they get a refund randomly.
