About Me

  1. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/997512.html WHERE: Twitter: https://twitter.com/ToasterKiwi DeviantArt: https://toasterkiwi.deviantart.com/ Tumblr: http://toasterkiwi.tumblr.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/toasterkiwi/?hl=en FurAffinity: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/toasterkiwi Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/kiwikuru YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/KiwiFlipnote/videos Website: http://toastershop.tictail.com/ Toyhouse: https://toyhou.se/ToasterKiwi WHAT: Digital art piece — x1 custom adopt worth 200 USD. WHEN: October 2017 — present (May 2018) EXPLAIN: I ordered a custom character commission from ToasterKiwi's auction back in October 2017. I didn't receive a WIP until December 2017 and no further visual updates since then. Meanwhile, the artist has output tons of artwork and merchandise for conventions and shop orders and is plenty active on Twitter throughout this duration, yet has no progress update for me about the order. The last communication I had was in March 2018 where she claims to still be working on the order, but provides zero visual updates. I am Tythius on DeviantArt. (I have a Gyazo Pro account so all screenshots saved there are permanent.) General timeline of notes from the artist, sorted in the DA search function which removes any indicator of read or unread status. (Proof 0.) TIMELINE: 18 October 2017: Purchased a custom adopt commission from an auction for 200 USD. Paid, artist confirms commission, and details are exchanged. (Proof 1. Proof 2. Proof 3. Proof 4. Proof 5. Proof 6.) No further communication from artist until December 2017. 6 December 2017: Artist provides a rough sketch of the design plan. I request some changes and the artist agrees. (Proof 7. Proof 8.) No further communication from artist until March 2018. 17 March 2018: After not hearing from the artist for roughly three months now, I request an update. The artist responds and claims she is still working on it, but shows no visual WIP. (Proof 9.) No further communication from artist since. Posts an adoptable on 1 May 2018. 21 May 2018: The artist is incredibly active on Twitter throughout this duration from March to May, responding to tweets, tweeting, retweeting, producing and sending out merchandise, etc. I send a note on 21 May 2018 requesting an update with a visual WIP. Unread. (Proof 10. Proof 11.) After 21 May 2018: The artist tweets very often on Twitter and continues to be extremely active there. No response on DeviantArt. I've sent a Twitter DM on 25 May 2018 and it has yet to be read/responded to despite the artist logging on and retweeting something on the 26th. (Proof 12. Proof 13. Proof 14.) Examples of very frequent Twitter activity including more adoptables on 1 May 2018: (Ex. 1, Ex. 2, Ex. 3) Please check the Twitter account for many more posts during the 7-month period of minimal communication with me. Also took Valentine's Day commissions and finished those: Ex. 4. In short, very, very high levels of activity and art without a single update on my commission that didn't have to be initiated by me. PERSONAL NOTE: The other custom adopt that was purchased from the same auction was finished within two months. I am still waiting on mine with extremely poor and irresponsible communication from this artist and I am so incredibly disappointed with her. She is clearly very active on the internet and extremely active attending cons and yet she can't be bothered notifying me of delays or progress when the wait has now hit 7 months. Even a simple acknowledgement of my messages anywhere would have been acceptable. This is insulting for someone of her caliber and popularity and overwhelmingly unprofessional considering the amount of money at stake. Outrageous. Tired of ads? Upgrade to account with Professional
  2. Do not drop that dispute. If you close it, then you can't do it again. Disputes can last up to 20 days before they automatically close in the seller's favor. Give it a few days and if nothing arrives escalate to a claim. From there they'll have to give PayPal a tracking number or you win. If they want to claim it was lost then that's their problem. The onus is on sellers to buy insurance and to ensure the client gets their package. At no point are clients responsible for lost packages.
  3. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/989740.html This is a mod repost as the original by @MystWuff has been deleted. MOD COMMENT: Please keep the comments focused on the beware itself. How/why the post was originally deleted is NOT the topic of this post. WHAT: Commissioned Shaynox Studios for a pair of fursuit pants and outdoor feetpaws. WHEN: Around Late August 2017 Shaynox studios posted on Facebook that they were open for commissions for both fursuits and fursuit parts. They posted examples of their works. And I contacted shay telling her I was interested in commissioning her for a pair of fursuit pants and feet paws. On September 12th 2017 I recieved an invoice and paid $325.00 USD for the commission and she added me to her qeue on her Trello. She stated she could ship the completed to commission or pick it up from her table at the dealers den at Furnal equinox 2018. The original completion date was to be February 2018 before furnal Equinox (march 15-18) EXPLAIN: in January 2018 I began contacting shay regarding updates if work had begun on my commission. She said she began working on my feet paws. Then in early Feburary I again contacted her for updates and to ask if they would be completed in time for furnal Equinox. She said they would be ready and available for pick up at her table Saturday March 17th in the dealers den. On March 17th 2018 I arrived at Furnal Equinox and messaged shay to ask if I could pick up my fursuit parts. She contacted me saying she had left them in her room and would have to got get them around 12 pm. After 12pm me and my finance went to her table at the dealers den and then she told me in person that she had forgotten my pants and feetpaws at home. But she was going to send her husband back home to pick them up. And that they will be here to pick up the next day (Sunday March 18) On March 18th I again spoke to shay at her table at the dealers den. She said her husband did not pick up my pants and feetpaws. She offered to ship them to me with no cost as soon as she returned home from the convention, and offered to make me a pair of handpaws for the inconveniences. She took down my shipping information in her laptop. I had received no further messages from shay since we spoke on March 18th at Furnal Equinox. On March 25th her husband posted to her Facebook requesting that her clients contact him as shay had a mental breakdown. I spoke with her husband and he said I had the choice of a refund or to ship my item. I requested that I would like my item to be shipped. He said he would look into shipping it. Since I last spoke with Shay's husband. I have made efforts to contact both with no reply. The last message I sent to both her husband and shay said the same thing and my concerns. They both have been online and active on Facebook since we last communicated but they do not respond to any of my messages. To this day,I had never seen any pictures or proof that my suit parts had been made. The last few months there has been minimal communication. I had been very patient and understanding. But have become very frustrated, Not knowing where my money went or if I'll even recieved what I paid for. I feel like I've been played around with, and there has been a complete lack of care about client. I noticed other commissioners were posting to her Facebook requesting updates due to her lack of communication. This is a Beware for those looking to commission fursuits/parts from Shaynox studios. I will update if I receive any further communication, but I won't hold my breath on a response. PROOF: I've included the most important conversations including commissioning, payment, and the last message that was sent (to still which was never replied to) in chronological order here. https://imgur.com/a/UNE2U
  4. Hello there! So a few months ago me and a friend of mine where commissioning a few people in the Artist Ally at Texas Furry Fiesta On the Saturday We went to DAQs booth as we both liked his vintage style. I ordered an inked traditional piece with one character which came out to $50 USD I paid with cash at his both as he had a sign taped next to the price list stating "cash only please" I paid cash and went about my day. The con went well and after I got emails from all the other artists I commissioned except him, I waited a bit longer and still no response, I got a bit suspicious and worried as all the other artists I commission where finished and sent me completed works, all of these where digital and DAQ was traditional which was a bit more odd as I should have been done around the same time if not a bit earlier. I messaged my friend as well to see if they had gotten any response back from him in regards to their piece and they where coming up empty handed as well. I decided to contact one of the emails that where listed to see if I was queued or he at least knows about my commission but that did not work as well. (I'd like to note as well the friend I was with also did the same thing to no response.) I waited a bit longer and still got no response from both email and other forms of communication. At this point I went with a last ditch effort and contacted the head organiser of the artist ally to see if they might have a different email then the one I was provided, they where kind enough to help me and sent an email on my behalf to the one they had on file, and they to came up empty handed as they never got a repose back when they sent the email out on May 20th. At this point I was getting more worried, a few people mentioned to me that what if someone was impersonating him at the convention and informed me to make a public tweet on the matter to clear things up I did so as well on June 7th and have still not gotten a repose back. However during so I did find a comment on Furaffinity from another artist in the artist alley saying he will be making the trip with DAQ as he will be picking him up from a bus station in Texas. As of writing this on June 20th There has been no response from either of the avenues I or other parties have reached out to him on. I am not to sure what to do, and I am wondering if the convention has some kind of Claus or protocol for this where I am able to get my money back, if not it would be a shame to not get some form of recoupment and I hope this artist will be further banned from participating in TFF And now some photos Here is a photo of the price list on his booth, I got the inked version, to the left you can see a bit of the cash only sign, no receipt was given as well Here is the email I sent out to DAQ, just a simple hey just checking in email And here is the email exchange with the head of the TFF artist alley. (big thanks to them for helping) Furaffinity posts confirming he was in attendance there And lastly my public tweet seeing if I can reach out to him that way. Ironically I found his Twitter when he liked a piece I commissioned at TFF, his Twitter is still active as well And that is currently it, so far I have had no responses in awhile and I am hoping something a bit more public will be able to help out but idk. Hopefully this beware is alright and have a good day!
  5. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/930792.html WHERE: http://furaffinity.net/user/linkaton-furaito WHAT: Tiered adopt auction with additional pieces at $50 + $100 WHEN: August 24, 2013 to present. PROOF: http://imgur.com/a/9fTx6 All proof contained in here. Will link to each in explanation as well. EXPLAIN: On August 24, 2013 Linka posted an auction for their kiso'jokai. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/11441799/ [nsfw - sheaths] I'd been wanting one for a bit, and decided to auto-buy the one I was most interested in to ensure I got it and the additional tiered pieces. That transaction is here: http://imgur.com/KMkXYJG I knew they had a queue and were busy, so I was content to wait a reasonable length of time for the art. The original piece was sent a few days late, but they'd been distracted and I was spacy about responding right off myself. I clarified that the AB price would include the tiered pieces. You can see that note here: http://imgur.com/P1bGRtM They had a lot happen IRL, including a death, so I didn't contact them for quite some time - it was January of 2015 before I sent them a note, and that was due to them wanting notes sent regarding owed pieces. I was a couple months late sending it due to some RL troubles of my own - moving and health - but figured better late than never. I still wanted these pieces, after all. That note is here: http://imgur.com/eE2d4Tc I never received a response. Now, here I dropped the ball a bit. They were going through a lot of things IRL and I didn't want to add onto that, so I didn't bother them again. I also moved accounts to deviouslyfiendish as I was trying to figure out a name that suited me more. When an A_B was posted on them, I commented on it with my own issues and shortly thereafter received this note and one of the pieces - you can see our discussion here: http://imgur.com/bkeTMyv and the piece in question here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17474761/ I was quite pleased with the piece and was hoping that the other piece would follow soon after. When I didn't see it for a while, I'd intended to note them, but they were going through a breakup and relocating partway across the country so I decided to wait til they were mostly settled from that. I contacted them in May of this year, which you can see here: http://imgur.com/sDjXcCA They actually forgot they owed me a second piece and I had to remind them. That left me less than impressed since it'd been well over 2 years at that point. I was also rather unhappy with the 'I'll let you know when I get to it' response, but figured a response was better than nothing and hopefully I'd get it soon. Right around the 3 year mark, I got extremely ill and have been diagnosed with some nasty auto-immune things that are lifelong, as well as some concerning high blood pressure readings that aren't going down. Due to this, I was told to eliminate as much stress in my life as possible. These old owed pieces are extremely stressful to me so I spoke with my fiance about managing them from now on, and let Linka know in this note: http://imgur.com/bQsKYpR I also let them know how soon I wanted my piece be completed since it has been a ridiculous amount of time. This is the note chain back and forth between them: http://imgur.com/yRlYLm7 starting a little over a week after my note in August. This is the sketch pose referenced in the note: http://imgur.com/D5WZFFF We'd heard nothing further so she sent another note: http://imgur.com/LDh7gB5 And then this one following up again when she didn't get a response: http://imgur.com/JnUZ345 We have not gotten a response as of that, and it's now Halloween, which was the absolute last day I wanted to get this piece done by. It's been over three years. I just want the art. I enjoy their style but I feel this has gone on more than long enough and is getting into ludicrous territory now for the length of time I've waited. Edit: As of 11/3/16 I have gotten the piece. My partner had sent another note that went read but unanswered so we weren't sure what was going on, but the piece can be seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21625181/ I now consider this resolved.
  6. Had commissioned this artist back in July of 2018; the piece was a 3 character Studio Ghibli themed pic of my character as well as two of my friends. Here are screen caps of payment: At first I was super ecstatic about getting this piece because I really adored this artist and at the time, they were seeking funds to help them out via a journal (which they conveniently deleted before I could take screenshots of it). After payment was sent, I noted them asking if they had gotten the funds in which they replied yes and a WIP would be sent shortly (1 to 2 weeks). I figured at the time all was good: Some time goes by so I send them a reminder note and they state that, yet again, they will have a WIP for me soon: More time goes by and still no WIP and no reply from the artist. I get a little worried but don't think too much on it because, as an artist myself, I know how commissions can sometimes take a bit more time and personal life can throw some unexpected loops. I send another reminder note, this time letting them know that this is a shared piece and others did pay for it as well and if things are going to be too much for them to handle, they can just cancel the piece and we'd be fine with a refund: They quickly reply that they will get it done by Dec. or so: ... and yet I wait more: Still did not get a reply. My note is ignored and I figure, they are busy yet again. I myself get a bit distracted with my own commissions and personal life. When I catch back up on things, I still haven't received a reply from the artist but I do seem them uploading art. At this point, it's already well past 6 months and so I tell my friend that we may never get the piece and should each note them letting the artist know that we would like to get a refund. Soon after my friend notes them, I get this note from Yajuuu: I was shocked at this reply, especially since my friend told me that the artist told them how they were going through medical issues and such at the time and etc. (which they not once mentioned to me this whole time mind you). My reply to they're outlash: I was actually hoping that things would be different and give them another chance, but after being informed and seeing another artist post a beware on them, a few weeks before I had put in a commission with them, I changed my mind. I told them I would like a full refund on the $110 but as you can see, they tried to talk me out of it: I replied again: After this, they then agree to refund me but I have to wait another 3 months before they can send the payment. They also pretty much black list me then and there from commissioning them ever again: I acknowledge this and also take note of the date. Soon after this note was sent. They leave FA and later block me on their twitter account; I wasn't talking to them there. I managed to screen cap this before the block: So irritating that they make it sound as if they left because people were being "mean to them" and not the fact that they failed to keep their commissioners up to date, failed to give updates on works and pretty much played around with others money. Yajuuu even went as far as to also block anyone who was in association with me after informing them of a negative outcome with them (wanting to push for a refund). If they were watching me or I watching them on the site, they were automatically blocked. Now I'm afraid that I may never get my money back for there is no way for me to contact them when the date comes and there may be a possibility of them not keep their prommis of them refunding me at this specific date. Edit: Additional screencaps added on behalf of the OP by moderation staff.
  7. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/871926.html Below is the account of my experiences with Miikywhiskers/Aoifhe/Catslaps/412009074/Chisey/Nhyau/LiIIian/qewtie/Kiri-ty/Cattits. Here are the following Usernames I know of she has/may use as of now: http://nhyau.deviantart.com/ http://miikywhiskers.deviantart.com/ http://liiiian.deviantart.com/ http://412009074.deviantart.com/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/qewti/ http://kiri-ty.tumblr.com/ http://thunderpoon.deviantart.com/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/cuffedkitty/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/aoifhe/ On the date of February 4th 2015, I payed Chisey/Miikywhiskers, 80$ Some of which went to a character being payed off, a sketch, and the remaining 30$ went to a design commission. On the date of April 28th 2015 I asked if I could have my design drawn as such - http://nhyau.deviantart.com/art/kiri-ref-wip-529636970 (You can still see my comments in the bottom if she hasn't gone as far as to hide them - if so I provide a screen shot below. http://orig10.deviantart.net/8948/f/2015/237/f/4/ca35e316d6f4e6ef3baaf46f010e38bf_by_avomeir-d975xm1.png for another 15$ she said it would normally be twenty, so I met in the middle and sent 18$, later sending another 2$ to make 20$. Proof of all payments - http://orig00.deviantart.net/cf47/f/2015/245/4/0/90aa95d1099f1246b4a6dc1f9284c381_by_avomeir_d979q2_by_avomeir-d986cwd.png http://orig11.deviantart.net/8855/f/2015/245/3/4/0dff8c50761d75bc7abc529040e8ed3d_by_avomeir_d979q7_by_avomeir-d986cwi.png http://orig11.deviantart.net/d84b/f/2015/245/1/a/9562d25ae5902a2922d8cd4a19be3f7b_by_avomeir-d986eh1.png I waited paitently for four months, trying to understand whatever she may be going through I then asked about the satus of my commission, wondering if she had forgotten. Proof- http://orig02.deviantart.net/1c76/f/2015/238/c/0/eaaa5c04b3fa02c3eaa7203bc97aef62_by_avomeir-d979qq5.png She said she would try to get to it that day. That did not happen, and she spent the next two months taking on more ych's and doing various personal projects. I waited two more months. During which she said she wasn't going to do design commissions anymore and we could either change it for a substitute or a refund. I payed for a design. I didn't want anything else, I also didn't want a refund because she had already spent my money and there was no telling how long it would take for her to return it to me.(The journal this conversation took place on has since been removed, else I'd provide proper screenshots.) After a small dispute, and discussion she agreed to do my design. I received my design finally on August 12th 2015. http://orig02.deviantart.net/e4b9/f/2015/238/a/8/c8fd4a3fd61f0c37983d62961e32cfe6_by_avomeir-d979qqj.png This design is lovely, however not what I asked for. This design is on the waitress base, not the lines I requested and paid for. Seeing this I asked if I myself, or her could fix it. She had previously proclaimed to be profoundly busy throughout the past few months, so I assumed with what she had been saying, I would do so. She responded with "yeah sure doll :3" Sure to which?? Her or me doing it? Confused I followed up asking if I was going to do it. I waited 10 days, no response. So I used the lines above and placed the design on it. She went off on me, for drawing on something I paid for anyway. She wasn't going to create whole new lines for me, she was going to edit the current ones I picked out as a reference. So why it was such a big deal I'm not entirely sure. She is very point blank with her commissions, she doesn't go out of her way to make them better than what someone paid for. Conversation: http://orig04.deviantart.net/b760/f/2015/238/2/d/bf84322875a61109ed0856c3cebe39ea_by_avomeir-d979t2s.png At this time I had paid 50$ for another art piece by her upon which the design dispute happened she said she would refund me. The design dispute took place on August 22nd 2015. Proof of other commission- http://orig02.deviantart.net/b93a/f/2015/245/6/a/b3b878ffd8cffa02c56786f0da3d34e9_by_avomeir-d986g1t.png I noted her setting up a deadline for this refund on August 25, 2015. I gave her a month from when she said she would refund (which was the 22nd) me before I would attempt to charge back the money. However, unfortunately after looking into it, I can only charge back through my bank within 30 days of the transaction, and paypal will not dispute digital goods. Therefore my only means to have my money returned is her giving it back, seeing as she has not responded or been very compliant I do not foresee a refund at all. It is now the 23rd and I still have not received a refund. Proof of refund statement: http://orig07.deviantart.net/b8e8/f/2015/266/c/1/__by_avomeir-d9anskm.png Deadline: http://orig10.deviantart.net/4108/f/2015/246/b/3/f50bcfba820216e9e7907ebe6382edbd_by_avomeir-d98a356.png Proof she saw my message and knew about my deadline: http://orig00.deviantart.net/604e/f/2015/266/0/1/image_by_avomeir-d9amo2o.jpg I say "Atleast my, 50$" Because I sent this message - http://orig08.deviantart.net/133b/f/2015/238/9/d/4970feddd17d3be2579b44a9897bc5f0_by_avomeir-d97a6px.png Asking if I could also be returned my 20$ for not having my design drawn properly, however this was not required seeing as I had received atleast some of my good purchased. I wasn't going to demand for a refund of that 20$ Overall, it has been difficult to work with her. She does not cooperate with her customers, and will take entirely too long on your commission, coming up with plenty of excuses as to why it's not done. Please take this is a warning to all of those thinking of purchasing from her. Until she gets her act together and stops procrastinating and not having money to refund if needed, do not purchase anything from her. It is in Your best interest.
  8. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/826160.html EDIT: i've been refunded. they contacted me saying they lost my refs, but i asked for a refund instead which they gave me- this can be marked as resolved! --- WHO: http://827772.deviantart.com/ WHERE: http://827772.deviantart.com/ they also have a twitter that is listed publically on their deviantart account profile which is how i've been contacting them since their hiatus: https://twitter.com/taraopta even though my twitter was set to protected and currently is set as such, they do have my deviantart account to send me my art/or reply, and as stated in the explain portion, i did change my twitter from being protected for several days in waiting for a reply, giving them a chance to. WHAT: a couples fullbody image that ended up being $28. i split the payment with a friend but handled the transaction by myself. WHEN: i ordered the commission october 10th 2014, and i contacted her over twitter in january 20th 2015 after noticing there was a hiatus status on their deviantart, and have been in the dark since the beginning of february waiting for some sort of response. PROOF: payment: http://i.imgur.com/aAi6tQa.png attempted dispute: http://i.imgur.com/BPBI9fV.png someone told me i should dispute it even though it'd be automatically closed for paypal's records if i need to take this to the business bureau. EXPLAIN: on october 10th i commissioned a couples fullbody from them, this is the entirely of my note of our back and forths with confirmation of payment sent. when i commissioned her, i was under the impression that even though she has more than 3 people ahead of me, that 'i'll start as soon as i'm paid' meant maybe she wasn't working fully in order like it shows on her profile, and i was in no rush either way because i've had pleasant commissioning experiences with them before. sometime in mid/late january i was prompted by the friend the commission was initially split between, saying it had been a long time since commissioning and i agreed. i looked at their deviantart and saw 'hiatus' on their da profile, but they never let any of the commissioners know, either through notes or a journal about this hiatus. of course, classes were starting back up, but a headsup would've been nice since at this point i had already been waiting 3-ish months, i hadn't really noticed but i decided to try twitter since i was most active there vs. tumblr, and 82772 seemed active there as well and it just felt like a better alternative to try. so, i sent her a tweet and we talked back and forth. i was okay with waiting a week for the art i was patient and actually had hope they'd get it done. i waited, and waited... and waited... and then before i knew it, it had been almost 3 weeks (making it almost 5 months of a wait and a lack of communication). at the time i had gone private on twitter but occasionally went on and off private specifically to message them and gave it a day or two not on private while they were still active, and not responding. honestly, i would've been direct messaging them but it's something you can only do with people that follow you back mutually, so i had to do this and i did maybe like? 2 times tops throughout the 3 weeks i was waiting for my art as to not be pushy but i was also growing frustrated. they were quick to respond to that tweet on january 20th, so i don't understand why they decided not to with the ones i sent afterwards after the start of february, especially when they're constantly posting to twitter and there's no way they're not seeing my tweets to them. so, i'm under the impression they're ignoring me and i have sent them a tweet stating if they didn't reply in a week i would be posting this. so.. here we are, this is pretty much a last resort since i've given them enough time to even respond to me. i would prefer the money over the art since i could use it for someone more reliable... honestly, i'm not sure i'm going to try and fight $28 as it may be more stress than it's worth, but i am disappointed because it was supposed to be for myself and a friend and i've commissioned her before and recieved my art promptly though that was in the summer and they probably weren't as busy as they may be now, but that's really no excuse. i don't understand why this is such a problem, but i don't think i'll be commissioning them in the future if this is how it's gonna go with trying to communicate.
  9. Since watching Dirt-chomp on FA I've purchased 6 busts for $10 each prior to this debacle and everything has been great. The quality of the work and timely manner had me coming back to purchase a YCH and a discount couples bust in July 2013. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10891605/ http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4868235/#cid:34960083 Month by month passed and I didn't bother reminding her until march 14th the next year. No reply. Tried her DA account at the same time. No reply. Tumblr account. No reply. At this point I simply gave up until I found her twitter and twitch handle. Joined a stream and at the mention of my name she shut the stream down. Someone sent me a link to her tumblr account and once again, no reply. At this point I gave up until I found their twitter and twitch handle. Found her streaming in twitch and tried talking to her there but the moment I mentioned my name she shut the stream down. I also messaged her on twitch. I found her on Instagram and posted on her latest submission that I've been trying to get in contact with her and at this point, I was pretty darn frustrated being 5 years and $105 usd out of pocket so I threatened to take it to artist beware. Needless to say she deleted my comments. While waiting for my art she has been actively taking in commissions from other people and doing works for them as you can see on twitter and Instagram as well as tumblr for some older stuff. As a last ditch effort I also contacted the studio where she works at. On December 17th of last year, I wanted to get something with my friend because he wanted to get something with me. We contacted Koachellla about this and we set up a commission with her. We both paid on the 18th of December. It wasn't until February 18th that we received signs of trouble. I hadn't received the commission yet after I told her to send it in, so I contacted her art manager, who happens to also be her mate in this situation. He has a role in this feud as well because he told me he was going to contact her about the situation, and let me know if I was going to get a full on refund or a do-over (which I did not receive any of the sort. A few minutes or so after the message was sent, the hateful journal appeared, which proposed false information about contacting her mate about her own art commissions. Art managers are there for a reason, and if the situation where they need to be contacted is present, then there shouldn't be a problem about contacting the art manager. Following this, I received four malicious notes towards me from Koachellla, and after further reviewing the first note, a threat against me about stealing my money along with my friend. WHEN: Aug. 17th PROOF: Proof of payment. Proof of agreement to her terms. EXPLAIN: So originally I bought a sketchbook commission slot from the artist for $100 back in October of 2015. After paying for the sketchbook I had given her a list of my characters I wanted in the book and choosing a book we both like I made sure to keep a somewhat constant communication with her. Eventually the artist went through a huge rough patch that including moving and a few more personal things. This delayed my commission severely, but I was more that understanding. I did check in with her every so often and was kept up to date. (1, 2, 3, and 4.) Eventually I did receive my sketchbook, but since it wasn’t everything promised in the original agreement that artist offered me 5 digital color pictures and I accepted. I gave my first four back in August of this year and later gave the fifth a little while later. Since giving my ideas I’ve kept in contact and check the status once in a while. (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.) For the last few months the artist has been doing multiple ych’s and getting them done in a few weeks. One of which I myself bought and had before any of the five pictures. (12) I try to be patience and not rush artists when I commission them, but it just upsets me to see others get their art a few days later where as I’ve been waiting months. Honestly a beware on this artist is really the last thing I wanted to do. She was one of the first I ever commissioned and has always been pleasant to work with whenever I do. Not even sure if this will even count as a beware. As of now I have one out of the five and have been told the others have been sketched out. (13 and 14) Current Mood: pointless UPDATE 12/2/2016: Artist has uploaded second picture of the list. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21886371/ UPDATE 12/28/2016: Okay so I doubt anyone will see this update. I submitted an update post to the mods and am waiting for approval, but in the meantime I have something new that came after I submitted said update. I finally managed to a reply from 0cean and this is what I get. Firstly I want to say this may just be me, but the whole note came off as entirely rude. I also want add that this reply came after I had to track her down on a DA account she did have listed anywhere. She did even respond to the pm there, but to one I sent a week ago on FA. So after not hearing anything for almost a month I get a rude note. If that isn't bad enough I found she was very active on this new account doing free art stream, adopts, art trades, and personal art. Funny thing is that nowhere on any of her account do it mention lost programs in fact her accounts haven't been active in almost 4 weeks. Clearly if she was active there she could have done some kind of update. I get everyone has a life, but clearly she had the means of updating people. [Misunderstanding] In response to my last edit about the Journal it seems it wasn't about me. She just happened to have posted it about people from an art stream shortly after I asked for and update. Huge mistake on my part there.

Adoptable was never finished and delivered. WHEN: Adoptable was originally posted on November 30th 2015 (Gemini, seen here). I expressed interest in it, and he agreed to finish it for me if I purchased it. Before I could decide, a couple of friends purchased it for me. The adoptable was posted on November 30th and payment was sent and received on December 1st 2015. From there, I privately messaged him (starting on December 1st). I let him know what I would like done with the adoptable. He responded promptly. I later contacted him on February 20th 2016 after having not heard from him. He responded saying that he would have the lineart (but not a finished design, as agreed upon) to me by the next day. On June 9th 2016 I contacted him again, again after having not heard from him since the above stated day. I requested that a refund be sent to the couple who bought the adoptable for me. I have not heard back. I again requested a refund on October 22nd 2016. I have included every PM correspondence between us here. PROOF: Reposting of all relevant screencaps in this article included below: Original posting of the adoptable Offer to finish it once paid for Exchange where the couple bought the adoptable for me PM exchanges between Figgetywinks and I Other Tilkibli he has created and sold between the original purchase and now - May not be a comprehensive list of sold items, just ones that were public and easily accessible as of today, October 29th 2016. I know that there are other people waiting on things from this artist as well and I hope they will come forward and post in the comments of this article. EXPLAIN: There's not a lot left to say that hasn't already been said. Some friends bought an unfinished adoptable for me as a Christmas gift last year, we're almost to the holiday season this year and I have not received the finished product. I requested that they be refunded on June 9th 2016 and again on October 22nd 2016 and have not heard back either time. I am no longer in contact with the people who bought this adoptable for me so I can not check to see if the refund has been issued through them. As stated above, between the time the adoptable was bought, several other Tilkibli have been created and sold, not to mention other things as well, based on a quick look at the artist's galleries. Communication has been extremely poor, ranging from responding only when asked for updates to the point of receiving no reply at all to my refund requests. My ideal resolution to this would be confirmation that a refund has been issued and processed.

He says it’ll be done in 2-3 months after payment is sent, but I have yet to see the pic done. When: Spot claimed on May 15, 2016; payment sent on June 14 Proof: Please note that the artist is Japanese, which means that English isn’t his first language. My comment in the commission journal, in which I claimed a spot (in case it gets deleted), as well as asking him to give me time to get money in on June (to which he agree) His PM to me (I've censored out his PayPal address; read from down) My payment confirmation to him (read from down) PayPal reciept My PM to him asking about progress since payment, as well as his reply (read from down) My PM to him asking for the sketch stage (no response, despite being read) My comment on his new commission opening journal on Sep. 23, suggesting that he needs to stop taking on more new commissions (in case it gets deleted) My PM to him asking for a refund (again, no reply) Explain: May 15: Iceman opened up for commissions, and so I claimed a spot and told him what I wanted. I also told that I’ll be getting money in on June, and he agree with me. June 14: I told him that money finally arrived and I paid him $60 for the pic + an animated version. August 23: A few months past, and I sent him a PM asking for progress on my art, as well as mentioning that my name wasn’t on his current queue (despite being on the queue on his journal from May 15). He responded the next day, saying that he apologized and the his queue doesn’t have all paid commissioners’ names on it. So I gave him the benefit of a doubt and more time. I’ve also noticed that, for the past few months since I claimed a commission spot from him, he made at least several new journals opening for new commission batches to make a quick buck, and many new commission spots got taken like hotcakes by other people. That raised a red flag for me as taking new commissions while still having tons of other commissions on your plate is never really a good idea. September 21: I approached him, asking for the sketch stage of my commission. It was read, but never replied to, despite him posting art in his gallery. September 23: To no one’s surprise, Iceman has made a new journal offering commissions. So I commented on it, politely advising him that he should consider slowing down on taking new commissions and start finishing several owed commission on his plate first before taking on more. Surprisingly, he accepted my advice. September 26: 3 days afterwards, I've decided that I don't need the art anymore as I haven't seen any WIP for months. So I PMed him again that I would like a full refund at this point. I haven't heard from him, despite him reading my message (and he hasn't even issued a refund yet, as of now). If he doesn't answer, let alone refund, me for days, I'll have no choice but to file a PayPal dispute. Honestly, I don't see why he's now ignoring my PMs asking for commission progress and refunds. I wasn't being mean to him or anything; I just wanna know what my commission status is coming along. I'll update as soon as I finally get a response from him. - In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend commissioning Iceman unless he gets his act together and actually finish all the current commissions that he owes to dozens of people, including me. He’s making a bad move by piling up far more commissions than he can handle at this point. But on the plus side, at least he accepted my honest advice about not taking on anymore commissions due to his huge backlog. Update September 27: He finally replied back and said he just started the work so he couldn't do the refund. WIP (NSFW) I approve the sketch and told him to keep at the pic. So here's hoping! Update September 28: I meant to do this, but I've messaged him again, explaining that it's unfair on his part to deny refunds and that he could've at least do a partial refund after doing the sketch. I do hope he takes my advice to heart when he responds. Final update September 30: He finally got the commission completed. And the results are just as I ordered. I'll consider this issue resolved.

I had sent a note later that day with links to the characters I had wanted drawn in the sketchbook. I had anticipated it would take a while since they would be drawing on 160 pages during a school year, so I never expected to have it soon. Of course I was also anticipating moving so I was hoping it would be after I moved that I would receive the sketchbook. As referenced in my 2nd note to them that I got an update in April 2015 on the sketchbook and it was nearing completion at that time. Though in December it was ruined by water damage and coffee. I had never received any photos of the sketchbook, I was bummed to say the least that it was damaged but my main concern was that I never got any updates through the entire time aside from the April note. It was then, in the December note, that a refund was agreed upon though no set date for refund was able to be told. I sent the 3rd Note May 19th but never got a reply to that though it said it was read sometime before I sent the 4th and final note. Upon sending the 4th note I got a note in response that was a little passive aggressive from my point of view but I could be completely wrong. They had sent me another note after that one apologizing for how they responded to me and we came to an agreement to do installment payments, which about a month later they asked if I had been getting the payments that were sending through PayPal.Me which I didn't for some reason or another. They then sent me the first payment of $5 which, after PayPal tax because it was sent as a good and service, came out to $4.55 (I'm not sure if I should count it as a full $5 payment or as $4.55 since PayPal took a chunk out of it...). So far it has been going well, I will be sure to update this when I get more payments until it is fully resolved. Edit: On August 7th, I received $10 from PawPlush (through friends and family) Edit2: On August 8th, I received $20 from PawPlush (through friends and family) Edit3: On August 25th, I received the rest of my refund from PawPlush! After a few short conversations, we agreed on an expedited commission at a greatly increased price. Several close friends had vouched for her work by this point and many conversations and assurances were given that the expected completion time of Anthrocon 2017 would be totally doable. [Contract w/ completion date: https://i.imgur.com/ViRLy6Q.png https://i.imgur.com/jGIIjQW.png For some context, a previous Beware I had written led to the rushed circumstance. This is a suit I've been trying to have made since 2014. The original artist has since completely given up responsibility for the project. Explaining this situation, plus the premium price, is part of why the deal was agreed upon with such a deadline. My first concern came by way of being told she incurs a 5% convenience fee for using PayPal, something I had believed was against ToS. Given the sum of money already being spent here (again, 3600 dollars) I thought charging anything else was a little excessive. Needless to say, I went along with it and completely paid off that balance. After that time, I actually received regular updates, she streamed and showcased the work to me frequently, I actually believed I might really be getting this done! [Convenience fee: https://i.imgur.com/QPyzgyK.png [WIP: https://i.imgur.com/XxVDjoM.jpg [WIP: https://i.imgur.com/KfAhsyZ.jpg In early June I received the first communication that things would be suffering a delay. She complained of issues with drug interactions, stating her mood was too poor to be able to work. From this point onward, I only got one more follow up progress report on the suit. She continued to tell me about her diminished mental state and how she was unable to perform even basic, everyday functions. Come Anthrocon, I'm informed the suit would not be completed on time, but she would work tirelessly to get it done as quickly as can be. After July, she runs into a family health issue that takes several more months away from her projects, leading to the most recent updates in November where she has informed me she's suffered a shoulder injury and is, again, unable to perform even simple, daily tasks. Given the issues with health and family she has communicated to me, I gave every bit of leniency I could before writing this and even still feed bad doing so--I even offered to waive the money I was to be refunded for not completing it in a timely manner. But excuse after excuse, something this artist seems to have a history with, has once more led me to believe this is another project I should not expect to see completed and certainly not for the added expense. EDIT: Original post updated to include a screen of the second page of the contract ( https://i.imgur.com/jGIIjQW.png ). The refund outlined here was indirectly referenced in the "First issue" link under explain, leading to its accidental omission.
  16. Let me preface I have a small bias AGAINST Lemonbrat or well a member of the group persay from when they did cosplay commissions. I did not participate in the approval and I tried to stay out but there is too much here to be quiet. I did participate in the agreement to go from Caution to Beware due to witnessing LB literally obliterate timeframes. OP would never receive the suit in a timely manner due to location, international shipping and customs by the time they finished it. This suit ideally should have been finished and gone to OP by the first week of JUNE. To me that's the latest because even if you rushed the shipping customs is a pain. My next concerns: The tail. Neither tail I saw read 'feline' to me. Even if you are making a puma to fit a human figure, the size ration is off. And that closure is awful on it. It visually looks stapled or tacked on like Eeyore's tail. The head is rodent and even furred up, it's a rodent with feline coloring. The ears are the worse of it. They are too round and ill-shaped for a feline. They splay out when they really need to point upwards. Choice of fur. OP came to you for the service. You have the knowledge (or should) of how their choices would perform. It's a beautiful color but it obviously doesn't do full body justice. At best a partial. And I say this as someone who only interacts with suits via this community! EVA Foam and worbla are my thing. The choice to cut literal pecs into the front. They're uneven. I don't think you even picked seams on the chest (or any of it), and I quickly Googled fur tutorials for fashion; all say pick your seams to clean up the work. If the OP wanted a femme form without actual breasts, was light stuffing or gentle foam fabricated mounds not an idea? I hate to say it but that chest looks post-mastectomy which if that's what they want; grand. But I don't think it was. Lastly because this is very long: communications and policies. You think you're allaying fears but you were telling OP to deal. Bad move. Also why would you not stick to your guns of a full DTD? Pick a policy and stand by it. If you want to deliver quality, demand a DTD or cancel and refund. 3k is too much damn money to bet on someone not local's measurements! LB you owe OP either a functional appealing suit. A refund. Or just a partial refund (50%) and the suit so they can... try to save it. Your own choices and lack of confidence/customer service/timekeeping lead to this. Less PR statements and more communication with Camaro.

  18. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/847883.html WHO: Rach Verity, rachykins WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rachverity/ trello with an insane backlog: https://trello.com/b/kDddOtiK/commissions-list WHAT: Digital art WHEN: First discussion on June 20th 2014, agreement and payment on june 25th 2014. Still waiting on art or refund. PROOF: Initial agreement on a journal post: https://archive.is/7XgP4 Relevant bit: http://i.imgur.com/be3gpyl.png Confirming through note: http://i.imgur.com/8us9VDu.png Payment: http://i.imgur.com/VtHrbzD.png (I actually gave $75 because I got a deal on the regular price of $100 and felt bad about it) EXPLAIN: Well, it all began a while ago. I needed a char sheet for a new character and since I commissioned her before and didn't have any problems with her, save for a single commission who was a bit late, but ot critically yet, I decided on rachVerity. Since I still had some details to work out, I started by just asking for her price, not yet a commission: http://i.imgur.com/hXPk5p5.png She answered that it would be about $100: http://i.imgur.com/NaTAO36.png Shortly after that, she made a journal about how she'd do "anything including ref sheets" for $60. I got a spot for that: https://archive.is/7XgP4 Relevant bit: http://i.imgur.com/be3gpyl.png which she confirmed through a note: http://i.imgur.com/8us9VDu.png Payment: http://i.imgur.com/VtHrbzD.png After some problems due to FA losing notes, I sent her the full description on June 25th: http://i.imgur.com/ll2uYbq.png which she confirmed: http://i.imgur.com/npdmUu3.png Just a couple of days later I sent her a note about how I'd like that ref sheet before another (pending at the time) commission, which she ignored, the other commission was posted a few days later: http://i.imgur.com/Ob04dxb.png I didn't care too much at the time because it was great and only a couple days later, I just felt like I should mention that. About 4 months later with no update, no word, no anything, I decided to inquire. I was kinda pissed at the time because while keeping me (and others from what I could see) waiting, she gave away one commission/YCH after the other and constantly made journals about how commissioners would surely get their stuff, which never happened. (During the whole time waiting, there hardly were a week without a commission journal going up, which still do, just go check her journals). Since I actually wanted that ref sheet as soon as possible and it was obviously not happening, I decided on cancelling the commission and getting a refund. Nice as I was, I offered to wait a bit for it because she posted in journals about getting a new place to stay and I know that this eats up money faster than garfield eats up lasagna. http://i.imgur.com/QGu9qK9.png She confirmed at the time that she would refund it: http://i.imgur.com/W8WkOD4.png She even offered to make it up with a free piece of art: http://i.imgur.com/dc11llr.png (I declined that one as it felt not right accepting that to which she said that I'd get at least a 50% discount on future commissions. I somehow don't think that's gonna happen) Another 3 months later I just asked what was up. I offered to convert it to a wing-it if that was easier (note that a wing-it is obviously less work than the char sheet it should have been): http://i.imgur.com/vIUrkSP.png She said that would probably be faster and that she rather saves for her birthday instead of paying her debt: http://i.imgur.com/BHqTNoS.png (didn't mind so much back then but I gotta say that's pretty shitty) I answered that it was up to her, refund or wing-it. 18 days later she actually sent me a message herself asking if she didn't owe me money: http://i.imgur.com/dXVkjQl.png I answered that we actually just discussed that and that she wanted to do a wingit instead. I again gave her the option to choose either. Even though $60 would be $15 less than I paid, at least it would be something.. She answered yet again that she'd rather do a wingit: http://i.imgur.com/iaAfkTD.png Now, I thought I sent a reply to that, but checking my outbox a bit later and nothing was there, so I confirmed that about a month later, which she in turn confirmed: http://i.imgur.com/kYgO4yY.png After yet another month with no update, art or refund, I just decided on a little reminder: http://i.imgur.com/kJpeSak.png Which she initially confirmed, while acting like I should feel bad for the reminder: http://i.imgur.com/xD3z8jr.png This kinda set me off, after 10 months of being really patient and obliging (in my opinion), offering to take a wing-it instead of the money, or even $15 less. I decided to answer in the same way: http://i.imgur.com/zLUex8R.png Her answer to that, "well, I'm in a bad mood so I won't say sorry", was the last straw: http://i.imgur.com/CFMaTgZ.png I don't think I'll ever get my money (or alternatively an image that is not half-assed). And I'm actually quite sad for it, I commissioned her plenty of times before and was always happy with the result, but somewhere has to be a stop or I'd still beg her for the money in 2 years. By the way, I found she had an entry here already: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/829923.html Just thought I'd put that in a new one because of the time difference TL;DR: Asked for a character sheet to be done as fast as possible. Did nt get it. Cancelled it after quite some time because I wanted that char sheet and went to a different artist. After waiting for the refund for a while, I offered her to do a wing-it instead if that was easier. Got neither refund nor wing-it. EDIT June 1st: Got a wing-it, I think this can be considered resolved
  19. I've uploaded these images by request. My camera sucks and doesn't really show you what I see. The honeycombing underneath can be seen and there seems to be a 'lump' of fur missing, and some of the fur looks like it's been 'shaved' too short. It's the best way I can describe it. The size is about the size of the area is about the size of a giant peanut. (can think of anything else to describe the size)

Animated Icon ($15 CAD) – One slot of several offered for animated icon. (Link to FA note) 2. 1-Character Digital, Soft-Shaded ($50 CAD) – Part of “Black Friday” commission sale. Subject was a SFW portrait of my werewolf character Vaarak. (Link to FA note) 3. 2-Character Digital, Cell-Shaded ($80 CAD) – Part of “Black Friday” commission sale. Subject was an NSFW kink picture of Zaelgolin and Sabre Dragon. (Link to FA note) *Note that Thera has since deleted all journals and comments referencing the above sales. When: 1. Animated Icon: Paid in full Nov 19, 2014, no progress of any kind to date. 2. 1-Character Digital: Paid in full Nov 27, 2014, no progress of any kind to date. 3. 2-Character Digital: Paid in full Nov 29, 2014. Requested a completion date of Feb 14, 2015 to be a valentine’s gift. The date was agreed to (link to FA note), but was missed with no progress. It was after this time I requested a refund for all three commissions. Thera responded by saying she could not offer any refunds, but would complete both this and the single-character commission during the following week (link to FA note). This date was also missed with no progress. Proof: 1. Link to payment receipt for animated icon ($20 CAD paid) 2. Link to payment receipt for soft-shaded commission ($50 CAD paid) 3. Link to payment receipt for NSFW commission ($80 CAD paid) Note that all of the above receipts are the result of Interac e-Transfers: a money transfer system only available in Canada. Explain: Let it be said that I never wanted to escalate things as a means of dispute resolution. This case is a simple example of an artist not following through on promises. While the above points illustrate the case rather well, I’ll try to give a broad synopsis: Having previously commissioned Thera (and quite liking the results), I jumped when I saw her sale on animated icons. Brief comments were exchanged, the fee paid and I was added to the list. A few days later, I saw Thera open another set of commissions for Black Friday. Having not commissioned any work lately, and really liking her art style, I took two slots: a single-character SFW commission and a two-character NSFW commission. All commissions were paid for in full as shown above. Having paid for the commissions in late November, I was really hoping for at least the NSFW piece to be completed by Valentine’s Day. This date was agreed to, but despite several notes (Note 1, Note 2) requesting updates, the date passed with no progress of any kind. Agitated, I asked for a refund. Thera apologized, but said she could not offer any refunds. In recompense, she assured me the drawing would be completed within a week, and even offered to do another piece for free. Giving her one last chance, I wanted until the end of the week only to again have the date missed with no progress. A few weeks passed before Thera finally posted an outstanding commissions list (now deleted from FA), dozens and dozens of pieces long. I contacted Thera with my concerns, but she assured me the piece would be completed that same week, and suggested I attend her stream. The date was schedule and I logged in, only to find Thera doing impromptu commissions for others. During the stream, she said she would not be working on any outstanding commissions that night, since she needed to take on new work. It was at this point that I sent a note threatening to post to Artists Beware if I was not refunded. Thera requested my payment details, which I promptly provided. After an additional three weeks of waiting, I have still not been paid, and am left with no recourse but to post my experiences here and hopefully warn other commissioners. Throughout all this, I do want to stress that Thera responded civilly and amicably in all notes, and made numerous promises to set things right. It is just unfortunate that none of these promises were ever fulfilled. Update: I have since been refunded in full for all payments noted above; this beware has been resolved.
  21. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/952211.html So I'm not sure if this still counts towards being a beware and honestly I was debating whether or not to even post it, but I decided I'd try to warn others. WHO: Mid-Nightshade/sephiroth. WHERE: FA: Mid-Nightshade FA: sephiroth FA: danteokami. WHAT: $20 YCH WHEN: Oct. 30, 2016 EXPLAIN: So the artist was had posted a ych, and I liked the theme of it so I ended up bidding on both slots. I was the winner at the end because no one else had bid. After the auction ended the artist contacted me, I sent payment and refs and all was go so I thought. I waited until January 8th to contact him again asking about the YCH. He told me he had planned to work on art the following weekend. Well I waited and the weekend came and went. He never posted any art so I have no idea if he actually worked on art. Following that I saw he had a discord server so I decided to join because updates on his FA weren't very often. I saw he was on pretty regularly and after some more time of waiting I sent another note on Feb. 24th. The note hadn't be read and I didn't want to call him out on his server because I know how furries can be, so in an attempt to try and get a respond I filed a dispute. A few days later I logged into discord to find I was kicked from the server so immediately I escalated my dispute into a claim. And the very day after is when I finally got a reply to my note on Mar. 3th. He was saying he would give me a refund that day. I replied back saying I did want the refund, but once again the note was never read. I ended getting my money back after Paypal decided in my favor. PROOF: Screenshots throughout post. Update: Okay bit of an update. A friend of the artist messaged me on facebook wanting explain. It was sent on April 14th, but because I have notifications of message from people who aren't friends turned off I didn't see it until yesterday. I declined to listen for two reasons. One being that it was pass the point for any explanations and two because the fact the artist himself couldn't be bothered to explain himself so why should I listen to one from a third party. I'm not trying to say the artist sent his friend though. Just that if the artist couldn't explain things himself then there's no point. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gav2mgvie7xugss/Screenshot_2017-04-30-14-05-13.png?dl=0
  22. All below messages are via twitter DMs. See attached screeshots. On Aug 11th 2022 I reached out to the artist who was then Marbleshark_AD on twitter, and now Pup_Jaxces after they did username change. After some discussion of content (skipped in the screenshots), we agreed to two NSFW sketches with alts totalling $140, paid on Aug 14th 2022 after some difficulty with initially paypal'ing the wrong address. I tip $15 at this step, for a total of $155. The agreement and payment is in the screenshots 4 months pass, w. no contact. December 10th 2022, I reached out again asking for an update since it had been awhile and I saw them posting about life struggles on twitter. No reply. 7 days pass w. no contact. December 16th, 2022, I reach out again asking for an update and giving reassurance in case they feared I was angry or annoyed. They reply saying theyve made progress on the comish, and ask for a better place to make contact citing a lack notifications from twitter DMs. I provide my Discord and telegram. They do not reply further. Jan 4th, 2023. I reach out to make contact, having not received any friend request on discord or message on telegram. Jan 24th, 2023, I reach out to make contact, having not received any friend request on discord or message on telegram. Feb 26th, 2023, I post a reply to an art piece on their telegram art gallery asking about my unfinished commission. They ask me there to message them on twitter, then delete the replies. I DM them on twitter asking them to contact me. I tell them I feel ghosted after 5 months, asking for the current state of the comish, and if none or minimal work has been completed I'd like a refund. They say they will need to look through their sketchbooks saying its 'most likely done'. This will be the last message I ever receive from them. July 31, 2023. I reach out to make contact after 5 months of wait, still having not received any further DM on twitter, nor friend request on discord or message on telegram. October 5, 2023. I reach out to make contact after seeing them post on twitter that theyre closing an account they host art on and that theyre discontinuing NSFW comishes, still having not received any further DM on twitter, nor friend request on discord or message on telegram. I ask again for a refund or for an update on their sketchbook search. After this I stop trying to contact them. However on Oct 25th 2023 I make my own artist beware style post on my twitter and @ their handle, which would generate a notification for them. On Nov 23 2023, I notice they've changed their handle to Pup_Jaxces. Having sought multiple times over a full year to resolve this either with delivery or refund, and sAs they have other posts here on ArtistBeware with the same behavior I can only presume this is not a mistake and they have no intent to deliver the commission.
  23. Camaro is currently sending us more emails to update this post, but I did want to drop in and just leave my opinion. Like I know this fur is naturally really wrinkly and hard to hide seams in, but they should have been up front this would be an issue. And that doesn't even account for the fact that the profile still looks rodent like. Plus there's this strange overlap of the light fur on the upper eyebrows that hide the actual eyebrows. I'm not sure what's going on there, but once you see it it's hard to unsee it.
  24. Find it strange they haven't sent you a photo of the front and the fur is not made for full body suit. I have tried a similiar fur which ended up SUPER heavy and wrinkly while the face on the fuirsuit head looked decent. Also the ears looks like two diffrent sizes and I dont understand why they think a tail to a cougar looks like a canines tail and in their gallery they have patterns for a long feline tail.
  25. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/784276.html WHO: Okie/Vashram (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vashram) WHERE: Zannah's Tigerdile Stream WHAT: Okie/Vashram commissioned a colored sketch of a mostly nude human female from me during a Sunday night stream when I was open for commission slots. The piece was hand drawn and colored in Copic marker, and finished during the stream. WHEN: Unfortunately, I do not have a log of the initial conversation because Tigerdile does not log chat sessions. However, Okie/Vashram sent me a note on FA at the time detailing what he was interested in. That was 7/13/2014 according to the PayPal invoice timestamp. It is now 7/28/2014. PROOF: 7/13/2014 - Initial note sent to me during the stream (date discrepancy due to timezone differences): 7/19/2014 - Reminder note sent: 7/22/2014 - Second reminder sent: 7/25/2014 - Warning shout posted to commissioner’s FA page: 7/28/2014 - Notice of blacklisting and post to Artists Beware sent: 7/28/2014 - Shout notifying blacklisting and post to Artists Beware posted to commissioner’s page: PayPal invoice history: EXPLAIN: Two days a week, I open my Tigerdile stream for while-you-watch commission slots, of work to be completed in stream. As I was raising money to cover a medical bill at the time, Okie/Vashram expressed an interest in getting a commission to help out. As per my terms of service, streamed commissions are expected to be paid upon completion at the very latest. Because it was getting late while I was working on his piece, Okie/Vashram asked that I invoice him via PayPal, promising he would take care of it the next day. I agreed, and sent an invoice to the address he provided for the agreed upon amount ($35.00). The artwork in question was finished that night, and scanned and posted the next morning. (NSFW: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13985453/) The invoice has not been paid, despite multiple reminders sent through PayPal. Notes to Okie/Vashram’s FA have also gone unread and ignored, as did a shout on his page. I do not like confrontation and I don’t care to call people out, but I completed the art in good faith, and have not been paid for it. I warned the commissioner in the middle of last week that I would be reporting him here, and blacklisting him from ever commissioning me again if he had not paid me by Sunday July 27th. That deadline has come and gone. Okie/Vashram is the first person to have ripped me off in years. Do not accept commissions from this person unless they pay you up front. UPDATE: Okie/Vashram also goes by the name Hertial. To date he has scammed TWO OTHER ARTISTS on Tigerdile with the same method he used on me, and may be active on other streaming sites doing the same thing! I've also had people contact me privately on FA to whom he owes payment. DO NOT TAKE COMMISSIONS FROM HIM!
