Badge was completed two days later! 4. Link to artwork: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6938238 I posted a journal asking for a couple quick badge commissions. Pensive responded saying she could do a badge for me. I paid her that day and the badge was done just a couple days later! I was super impressed by her speed and the quality of work given the short time frame. :) mrst4nkr Dec. 1st, 2011 12:17 pm (local) Artist: Snowhawk 1. Snowhawk 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/snowhawk/ 3. I've bought several pixel ponies from her recently, but her turn around time is usually less than a week. 4. The price, for once thing, is really out of this world for what you get. The turn-around is quick. She offers a join.me where you can watch her work on your artwork. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6809828/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6885890/ I think I've bought 6 from her, so far. PD opened for 'pudgie charms' and I jumped in, received excellent communication from step one, and photos of the final necklace within the same week. Sculpt was above and beyond what I expected, very thrilled with it. Photo: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6635931/ Second commission is for a two character Globe style ornament, once again, communication is toptier, friendly and was shown WIP shots along the way. I can't wait to get this one in the mail soon. Anyone looking for 3D art, give her a look, prices are very fair, and you can't beat the turnaround/communication. toxicfossils Dec. 1st, 2011 05:01 pm (local) Seconding PaintedDog, I too got a pudgie charm from her and communication and progress was fantastic, as is the outcome! duster Dec. 1st, 2011 07:12 pm (local) Third Painteddog. He's just starting out with commissions, but his professionalism, approachability, and quality of work are wonderful, especially for someone new to the business. He streamed my picture live, asking for feedback several times, describing the music he was playing for inspiration, and providing a generally friendly and receptive atmosphere to his viewers. The base price for his first commissions is unbelievable, as well (I couldn't bring myself to not give him more). Full color, full body Livestream pic. Though I consider her a friend, she treated me with the same professionalism / businesslike air as any other customer (a boon IMO!). She's also extremely honest about wait times as well as being very open about progress and providing a more than fair amount of WIPs. Not to mention the final product is astounding. I commissioned a bug-eye icon (see my icon) and despite the offbeat request (including the tarantula) she did a wonderful job and made it super cute! I commissioned a sculpture from them. Not only is she an amazing sculptor, but is really friendly, worked on my commission quickly, and was professional throughout. The sculpture arrived with a cracked tail and she handled the issue really well. Highly, HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a sculpture. She also sells blank resin casts for pretty cheap. scenceable Dec. 1st, 2011 07:33 pm (local) 1. Magweno/ Carn-Dearg 2. http://carn-dearg.deviantart.com/ or http://www.magweno.com/ 3. Earlier this year, and again this month 4. I commissioned an art doll from her a few months ago. Everything went so well. She had great communication throughout, showed me WIP photos, and was super friendly. The doll was very very well made and exactly what I asked for. I commissioned her again recently, I don't have the doll in hand yet but so far the transaction has been perfect. She currently has a long waiting list but I'd very much recommend either trying to get a commission or purchasing a doll from her on ebay or etsy in the future. I'm also happy to say that the subsequent pieces I've commissioned from her have been an equally delightful experience. The second piece is a prime example of where she applied her experience as an artist to achieve the feeling I wanted for a piece; she took the rather generic pose idea I had and turned it into something much, much more than I had envisoned. I recommend her highly! sigilgoat Dec. 3rd, 2011 10:52 pm (local) PeachesMcGee 1. PeachesMcGee 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/peachesmcgee/ 3. The sketch was a join.me stream commission and she was kind enough to let me pay the day after she did it. I'm so pleased with how she handled both my characters, and the strongest recommendation I can give her is that I very much want her to do a reference sheet for my lizard-girl as well, and have booked a spot in her February commission list. iciewolf Dec. 4th, 2011 03:41 pm (local) CatInYourCloset/Caticus 1. My husband gave him a couple pictures to work with, and Coonkun provided a piece that FAR exceeded all expectations. He warned us about his busy schedule ahead of time and maintained excellent communication throughout. He always had progress updates and was readily available the entire time. The commissions I can talk about are crazy old, so we had to check our Paypal history: she has one payment from me on the 14th of July 2009,and has posted my first commission the twelve of that month and the second around the end of August. 4. Kyuume draws very expressive characters. Back when I commissioned her she was taking a batch of low detail cheaper commissions, plus it was over two years ago, so now both prices and style have changed and the ones I paid don't apply anymore; anyway, as you will see in the examples, she improved a lot in her art, and she's one of the very few people I would recommend for commissions (I think they're, like, 3 in total? I've had bad luck in my days). We're good friends, but from what I know she's pretty easy going even with strangers, does her job and does it well. Her basic price list now gives Head to waist, more detail, colour, shading, simple bg included: ONE CHAR: £19, TWO CHAR: £23 + £4 every extra char; Examples of her current work are here (can't see without an y!gal account) and here; the old commissions from 2 years ago are this one and this one. She has never drawn anthro but she's eager to learn, so she told me she's willing to give a discount for any anthro commission she gets, but she doesn't feel ready to draw anything 18+ themed yet. gingerligress Nov. 2nd, 2011 09:15 pm (local) Sepp 1. Only three days after I paid, I got this wonderful icon you see here. For the price, I was simply shocked at the quality. Just...I still can't stop staring at it. They've only recently been able to accept money through paypal, so now's your chance to get some awesome art for a great price. :D The only thing I would note is that they do confirm and keep up with things mostly through journals, but they noted me the final piece and replied to let me know that they received payment, so they don't seem adverse to communicating through notes. These were to be picked up at furfright; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2783126/ http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2808943/ Okay, so I find her table at furfright only to be told that she forgot them and will ship them to me for free after the con. That's fine, a while later i even see this journal; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2841802/ and thought "awesome, im pretty sure she has my address so i'll get them soon!" but...nope. never got them. so i sent her some small reminders blah blah, no reply. I see a journal that she moved so...okay? http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2925667/ i was fine with that, i moved recently too and understand that things get hectic. So then i see an entry pop up here about her http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/550360.html and contact her straight there. I also see that she doesnt accept notes for commissions now and only does them through email (which i did NOT know because all contact was previously done by FA's note system in the first place) so i sent her an email. a few days later i left a shout on her FA as well. Now it was possibly a bit rushed and i didnt have patience, but since it seems that they had the time to ship other people's orders I'm just a bit worried as to why she wont ship mine. I know that at least the rainbow dash and Li-Li badges are done http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ so idk. Edit: She JUST contacted me before the entry was accepted (kinda creepy actually LOL) and says she has to redo them because they are lost. It seems that her main problem is actually shipping them out, so i hope this ends well. Edit 2: Just got them today, I'd like to mark this as resolved, thanks!
  4. Dec. 19th, 2011 at 5:57 PM lichdog WHO: 2chaotic WHERE: IndyFurCon 2011, WHAT: a custom tail of my personal character WHEN: It was the Sunday of that con, on August 14th. PROOF: Business was done in person at the Dealer's room. EXPLAIN: So I was scouting the dealer's room that Sunday to make some last minute shopping when the artist in question approached me with the pickup line "You need a tail". I figured why not, and began talking to him. We flex the details out and he asks me for the payment of $40. So I run to the ATM, grab the cash and pay him promptly. I ask for contact info and give him mine, since it was definitely going to be homework. So 10 days later on FA, I send him this note: I checked my notebox for a few days, nothing. Waited a little more, saw he read it, but hadn't responded to it. About 2 weeks later I send this: I could sympathize with what he had to say and told him in return, "Ahh okay! Thanks for lettin' me know! If you could, please shoot me a note when ya get to work on mine, if ya can!". So I went back to playing the waiting game. Decided to poke him again at the beginning of November: Same tune, different instrument. He read that final note, but never sent me back anything in regards to my commission specifically. A few weeks later, he posts this journal (I screencapped it in case he deletes it). At that point I was pretty peeved, Notice how he has other outstanding commissioners also wondering about their commissions. I held off for a bit before posting this entry, was hoping he'd respond to my comment, maybe even in notes, but nothing came of it. ? so I shot him a note earlier asking for a refund. Which may have been a jerk move considering it's the holiday season, but I'm really sick of this lack of professionalism. ?
  5. Dec. 17th, 2011 at 2:40 AM creamytea WHO: KawazuSlime WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kawazuslime/ WHAT: A digital commission of a fully inked and colored three-paneled comic. WHEN: Dec 9, 2011 PROOF: No images beyond text, but textual content NSFW - mature fetish themed. http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/1787/commissionblurred.png EXPLAIN: The linked screenshot in the proof section includes the entire conversation regarding the commission in chronological order from start to finish, including the unimportant parts. Recap: I was initially approached via notes on FurAffinity from someone wanting a commission, NSFW fetish material. The conversation was taken to gmail. The commissioner kept offering to pay me extra or double and mentioned he...had another commission going, and asked me several times about doing other commissions, but continuously complained of not having enough money to pay me fully for my quoted work. I ended up doing a full-color, three-panel comic for $15 less than I originally quoted for a commission of just an uncolored sketch of a 4-paneled comic, so I feel this commissioner got a really good value for his money. Several times throughout the commission, he expressed that he was happy with the results, but continued to ask for minute changes which, up to a point, I was happy to do. Twice after I felt we both considered the commission closed, he asked for more changes to the finished product and at one point he also asked me for free art. I was in direct email communication for two days in a row, answering his emails within minutes of his sending them (evidenced by timestamps in the screenshot). His commission was started and fully finished within 4 days which I find to be an extremely fast turn-around time compared to how long most artists take and given the amount of changes he requested. When I went longer than 15 hours without answering one of his emails, he sent several messages to me through gmail and to FurAffinity insinuating that I was blowing him off, taking his extra $5, and behaving unprofessionally. After a few more exchanges and in less than 24 hours, the same picture had gone from "probably the best commission I've had done in years" to "I should have never commissioned you. I know now that it was a grand waste of time and money..." My personal skills that he had been so happy with before were also called into question in a retaliatory manner. I even did an extra edit for him at the end in good faith so that we could hopefully resolve the transaction smoothly which he threw back in my face, calling me inept. I feel I went above and beyond for this person and worked with him on every detail every step of the way, but he turned out to be fickle and extremely difficult to please. His words could easily crush someone with less fortitude. I have had possibly over a hundred commissions in the last 8 or 9 years and this is the first time I have ended a commission unhappily. UPDATE: I received a new email in my inbox over the holidays from this person: http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/5149/followup.png I am torn about responding. I feel if I respond and tell him no, he will lash out at me again even if I am polite, and if I don't respond at all, he will still lash out for ignoring him. I really do hate to ignore people, but I currently have no intentions of replying. I am posting this update solely to ensure this log remains complete.
  6. Dec. 16th, 2011 at 3:08 AM alex_dachshund I kinda feel silly for posting this here, since it was only a $2 commission, but money is money I suppose and she took my money and never provided. I thought it would be done in no time since I've done trades with her in the past and she was speedy on those but I've never actually commissioned her so I decided to help her out a bit. I left her a comment on the journal saying I was interested in a chibi: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 I sent her the money immediately that day: http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg The next day she posts a WIP of the chibis. I thought, oh goody, they'll be done in no time! http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ Wrong. Months go by and still no finished chibis, and she still continues to take icons and ref sheet commissions and do personal art despite owing us the chibis. She also kept posting journals claiming the chibis are almost done, or that she's going to finish them soon but still nothing. I leave a harmless shout on her page a few months ago (it's been covered up by various shouts on her page by now) asking about the status of my chibi and she claims she was going to work on it in a week, and a week comes and goes. (I don't have a screencap of her shout since I periodically like to clear my shoutbox). I also note her asking about the chibis in October but it's marked as unread and was probably ignored. My note to her: http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg (Reason why I said "I know you hate this" is because I believe I read somewhere that someone she owed an outstanding commission to, noted her, and she completely flipped out over it. That was probably a bit out of line and I do apologize.) I am a fan of Electrocat's art, it's cute and funny at times, but I am really frustrated that my $2 chibi doodle from several months ago is taking way longer than it should and I still haven't seen any updates on it since that last WIP image. :< I would like either my chibi done or a refund at this point. I probably won't commission her again after this since she's left us in the dark about our art. I am posting this here in hopes she sees it and finishes the chibis she owes me and several others.]] Time Line of Events: July 7th -- Commissioned her for the chibi. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg July 8th -- She posts a WIP of the chibis. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ August ??? -- I leave a shout on her page asking for an update and she claims they will be done in a week. (No screencaps, sorry!) October 13th -- Noted her asking for an update. Note was ignored. http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg Dec. 20th -- Posted a shout on her userpage. It has been ignored. And she continues to upload personal art (6 new submissions the day I posted my shout). http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286048655400.png Dec. 22nd -- Sent her a note politely asking for an update or a refund. It has been read and I have received my refund. http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286055990400.png My note http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286057781000.jpg Refund received I have received my refund. I guess all the beware stands for now is that she takes a VERY LONG TIME to do commissions and you'll receive little to no WIPs about it.
  7. Dec. 14th, 2011 at 6:43 PM ryu100 Who: Shivra Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shivra/ What: I commissioned her for a doll back in late September/early October. It was paid for and the doll was completed. Since then, I've had varying levels of success in trying to reach her to inquire about when/if it had been shipped leading to no contact at all since October. Proof: The original journal I commissioned her in: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2773865/ Oct 1st Paypal reciept (with name blocked out): http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff266/kyuubiryu/Shivra/?action=view&current=Paypalreciept.jpg October 18th Sent a note asking about shipping:http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff266/kyuubiryu/Shivra/?action=view&current=October18thnote.png Ocotber 29th Emailed her since she no longer used notes at this point: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff266/kyuubiryu/Shivra/?action=view&current=October29th.png November 14th Second email inquiring about shipping: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff266/kyuubiryu/Shivra/?action=view&current=Nov14thshippingcheck.png Explain: When I commissioned her, I had not been given an estimate on when to expect the doll to be shipped, though the "fast turnaround" advertised on making it led me to think it'd be sent sooner rather than later. At first, I could expect a reply within a few days, but that seemed to change once she informed that she was shipping the doll. The first time I was told so back on October 18th, I allowed more than enough time for a package to arrive at my location before contacting her again. I was actually given a reply around Nov 2nd saying that the doll was "on it's way", but I can't locate it. It was the last time I've gotten any sort of reply from her and as of now I have clue if the doll was lost in the mail or just never sent at all. She has a journal talking about how she had moved and didn't really have internet access at the time, so I had figured perhaps she was still trying to figure that out. But she's been active on her FA and plenty active on her Twitter this entire time. At this point, I'm starting to not care whether I get either the doll or money back as much as that I'm seemingly being ignored. Edit: The doll has been shipped and arrived at my place today!
  8. Dec. 14th, 2011 at 5:27 PM duskiedisease EDIT 2: 2/14/2012 - I have received my commission! (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7391530/ NSFW) Please mark this as resolved! EDIT: 2/9/2012 - I have given Dogbreath a deadline of Feb. 13th. She has agreed to the date so hopefully I will see something soon! Before I start, I want to let it known that the artist here, dogbreath, is a very sweet and polite artist. I really don't wish to give her a bad rep in any way, but I feel the beware is justified. WHO: dogbreath on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dogbreath/ WHAT: A traditional adult piece, colored, 2 characters, no BG. WHEN: I commissioned the piece back in April 2011. The piece was paid in full through PayPal. After everything was finalized, I received a sketch in May sent for my approval. I asked for a few minor changes, which I didn't receive until September. I approved the sketch and told her she was good to go. I waited again until November to contact her about my commission, where I was told that she needed to get new markers for inking. At this point, I assumed that it would be maybe another week before I saw any progress. This was the last time I've had any sort of contact. (I tend to wait at least a few weeks before contacting again.. I don't want to seem naggy.) The date of this note was November 20, 2011. I don't believe she has tried to scam me in any way, but I've become frustrated with how long my commission has been pushed back, and that she still takes commissions despite mine not being done. I have recently noted her, but I'm not sure if I should just wait it out, or ask for a refund. Hopefully the caps are readable! Please let me know if they're not. I'm hoping to resolve this soon.
  9. Dec. 14th, 2011 at 7:24 AM xxtamalexx ADDED 01/02/12 I have received my charms and was not satisfied with them (warped and had paint on them). I contacted her through e-mail (which sadly I cannot find) and she said she'd send the charms. After not seeing them I sent her another e-mail requiring them on October 22nd, and same thing she said to give her my address and she'd send them. Now it's nearly the end of the year and I've yet to see or hear from her. I'm beyond irritated at this point with her and pretty much lying to me that she's going to send them. And to add to this she keeps opening up for MORE charms making me think if she's even working on the ones she currently owes. At this point in time all I really want now is my money back.

  11. Dec. 10th, 2011 at 2:09 PM pagan_foxcat The following was mostly written by Jaitsu on behalf of both of us. I'll put my own blurb at the bottom: "WHO: Vani/Vanimute/VanillaKitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani WHAT: Was supposed to be a traditional art commission, in the style of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4014996/ , for $65, split between myself ( Jaitsu / http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jaitsu ) and Neopagan ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/neopagan ). WHEN: The commission was agreed upon and paid for at Anthrocon 2010 (so, mid-late June, 24th/25th?) July 27th she started posting journals going on about her life situations delaying commissions ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1586921/ ). Since she seemed aware that she had commissions waiting, including ours, we waited to prod her with emails. When she finally replied, she said she'd have the commission done by JUNE, or give us a refund. We agreed. It's now long, long past June, and we've received neither, and she's no longer reading notes or responding to emails. (Her twitter's still pretty active, though, so you can't say she doesn't have internet access) PROOF: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18095502/paganvaniemails.png EXPLAIN: See "when" for most explanation. We paid for the commission at AC '10, then gave her plenty of time to work on it... then she started putting up dramajournals, so we felt sorry for her and waited a while longer. She kept putting up journals pointing out that she was aware that there were commissions waiting, including specifically mentioning ours, so we continued to wait, until finally, we got impatient. Neo noted and emailed her again, and FINALLY got a response, offering to do our commission (now upgraded to digital) by June, or give us a refund. As of October 4th, we've received neither, and the last several notes we've sent her haven't even been read." Now, this has been sitting in my email ready to post here since mid October, but I've been hesitant to do so, maybe even a little guilty. I know what it's like to have real life throw bricks at you and the tons of other artists I commission know that I try to work with them and give them a lot of leeway(and tip frequently!) But, enough is enough. I've commissioned and had a full fursuit complete in a lot less time. After emailing her failed (which is apparently the BEST way to get in contact with her), I left her a note on FA which by it's bright yellow color has not been read since mid October, and it is now December. Due to the extensive list of people and any lack of reasonable progress on ANY of them, I'm sure there are many more people who are a little tired of waiting over a year for a simple piece of artwork that they paid good money for( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18011580/don%27t%20take%20out%20of%20here/todolist.png ), I'm just the first to post about it here. A year and a half and nothing at all, infact, lost contact yet still twittering away? She doesn't seem like the dickish sort, but irresponsible is irresponsible. For those of you who would think me foolish for getting a commish from someone with that long a lineup, I actually didn't know the artist well and the first exposure to them was the dealer's den at AC 2010. It was only after I got home did I see the huge to-do list. What's worse, is that she started offering commissions for more money in between this and had friends pay her way to AC 2011 apparently.. ? I don't know if/when she is going to resurface. But if she does I want people to know her work ethic beforehand so they don't get into the same situation.

  13. Dec. 6th, 2011 at 1:53 PM neolucky Sometimes when someone copies my work, they like to note me about it. Other times they only contact me after they were caught doing something wrong - In this case it's kind of both. After being caught, the artist in question comes to me, offers a kidney from his country and that he may have...used an image of mine. So I investigate. The user is: http://deserter-project.deviantart.com/ My original image: http://media.photobucket.com/image/starfire%20neolucky/NekoHybrid/Commission__Starfire_by_Neolucky.jpg Side by side: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/starfirecomparison.jpg His copy (rehosted as he removed it): http://neolucky.com/dajournal/commission_starfire_animecomic_by_deserter_project-d47mkql.jpg The trace: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/starfiretrace.jpg Comment in post: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/toldhimtoremove.jpg His note to me: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/kidneytrace.jpg His note entailed how he's trying to find me a kidney, and that he also used my art to make commissions. Then I happened upon his gallery and boy howdy, he's a professional tracer. Sooo yeah...probably going to be reporting a lot in this one. He's taking commissions and then outright tracing images without really understanding the legality of the matter. English most certainly isn't his first language, but I hope he understands why this is wrong. Normally I would just post him to art_theft and leave it at that, but a customer of mine bought art from him, and he's also trying to make money off of other peoples hard work =| so thats no bueno. If you spot any other traces, I'd love to have them to report with!
  14. Dec. 2nd, 2011 at 9:59 PM jackrow WHO: Rainhopper / Toast Rabbit WHERE: Rainhopper OR at Toastrabbit WHAT: Not willing to pay commission price he owe me. WHEN: Ordered at 2009 July 25. - Picture received at approximately 2010 August. Payment haven't arrived ever since from him. PROOF and STORY: There were a commissioner, called Rainhopper, also known as Toastrabbit in his actual name. He once commissioned me for a highly detailed artwork which would cost him 60 Euro, which is approximately equal to 80 USD. We discussed every single detail together to its finest. The communications are held upon Furaffinity's notes and GMail's e-mailing systems sometimes when we had doubts about things. Times have passed, and I have to admit I've got some complications with school and whatnot during the time and it kept for about almost a year which I felt myself ashamed, but once I've got some free time to finish what I was about to tell to be finished, I finally did what I promised and sent the original high resolution picture to him via e-mail in hope to get paid but only a somewhat short but still a modest thank you e-mail has been received and nothing more. The picture I did with such effort can be found here now here (since either him or the mods have removed it - EDIT: 2011.dec.04.) Though the description says that Jako did it, it was my former account and as the account journal says I moved to the newest location, just in case if someone is in doubt if it's about me or an other person, I just told it right here. However I uploaded it to my Furaffinity gallery, I've entitled it with a NOT PAID tag right infront of the title, to keep it in mind both for him and for artists if he's about to spot you as an other victim of theft. I have been waiting for months then I was out of patience, thus I asked him what's going on with the money? He said he is having complications with paypal nevertheless he's broke and 2 the rantgryphon holds him, which I accepted as "oh well, shit happens, let's just wait some more then..." I was hoping he was about to get that arranged ,but yet another several of those months have passed (almost A YEAR) and still nothing. Then I've asked him the same, but in a bit impatient motivationful voice via e-mail, and he replied the same. THIS is going on for ONE and a HALF YEAR by now, and I'm seriously out of patience, not to mention he dare to attend at MidFur as a Guest of Honor. How can people sleep at night like these? Till he don't pay me off, this thread will remain for letting you know who is about to comission you, and if I were you: DON'T ACCEPT ANY FURTHER COMISSIONS FROM HIM(Toastrabbit, Rainhopper) as long as I'm unpaid. Hereby I'm going to link evidences with commentary. The screenshot cuts have datestamps to proove my complainment. Evidence01 A whole copy of what he sent me in notes by promising this and that right after arranging the details which looked nice and fair so far. Evidence01 supplemental Not so relevant, but the e-mail where I've sent the sketch for further detail arrangement to check if everything is alright with it. Normally I keep doing things this checking way, to avoid complications in details, wether my customers like the way it looks or not. Evidence02 Months have passed and still nothing... Evidence03 Right after I uploaded the picture, all he did is just a thank you, not even mentioning he' still willing to pay me or something which OUGHT to be happen after this long delay if I were him. Evidence04 Evidence05 What? He can even AFFORD to make it to MidFur from the United States?... Okay, where is my diamond shotgun? Evidence06 Perhaps this is another excuse not paying me out...
  15. Nov. 27th, 2011 at 10:09 AM spotzwastaken WHO: Anuvia WHERE: Califur 2011, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/anuvia/ WHAT: I commissioned Anuvia for a badge at Califur on around June 4th, 2011. I was told it would be done before the convention ended. EXPLAIN: I commissioned a badge from Anuvia at Califur 2011 (I even gave her a tip), being told it would be completed before the end of the convention. It wasn't finished in time, but no big deal she was going to just mail it to me. A month later I was told it was finished and just needed to be mailed out. Now 6 months later I'm still waiting, after trying at least 6 times to contact Anuvia through email alone. This doesn't even count FA notes and shouts which she told me she doesn't check. It's worth pointing out that it was only my comments that she didn't check on FA since it only took our mutual friend a day to get a reply from her in a note and I see her replying to comments other people leave frequently. All this time she has been activly posting other new art in her FA gallery. All I can say at this point is if she is indeed telling the truth and my badge really is finished, just waiting for months and months to be scanned and mailed out, then I'm utterly stupified. Anuvia could fix this whole issue by walking to a mailbox but she has instead dragged it out for half a year and has offered nothing in return for my money. I've tried time and again to contact her with no success so now I'm posting here to warn others. WHEN: June 4th or 5th: Paid Anuvia in full for a badge and provided a $10 tip. June 28th: First email was sent but the email Anuvia provided on her FA page didn't work. Attempts to contact her through FA notes and shouts were all ignored. June 29th: Second email sent to another address I got for her. No response. July 9th: Third email sent, still no reply. July 10th: More than a month after I had already given her money I finally got an email reply for the first time from Anuvia. She told me the badge was finished and just needed to be scanned for my approval. July 22nd: 12 days later there's been no sign of the scan of my already finished, already paid for badge. Fourth email sent, no response. August 3rd: At this point Anuvia has been active on FA daily, posting new art and replying to other peoples comments and shouts. All of my comments of course are not acknowledged at all. Fifth email sent without a reply. August 23rd: A mutual friend of ours offered to bring my commission up to Anuvia and see what the deal was. She replied to him within a day saying she would contact me, which she did not do. September 2nd: Fifth email sent to Anuvia, I haven't heard from her personally since July 10th. No reply to this email either. At this point I gave up trying to contact her because she kept posting on FA about money trouble and having to work at her family store and having no free time. This is still completely unacceptable, but wasn't worth the headache. When there was no lul in her posting new art on FA, however, it was too much for me to take and I sent her email number six. November 9th: Email six was sent, also without receiving any response. This was my last attempt at contacting Anuvia before posting here. 16. Nov. 21st, 2011 at 9:25 PM kampaisuchi Hey everyone, I’m new to this little knick of the woods on LJ but after being referenced by some friends I figured I should give this a shot. ======================================== WHO: YuUrI WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/yuuri/ WHAT: Digital art piece for a Halloween special she offered in 2009. WHEN: Payment was sent September 28, 2009 http://i.imgur.com/RjE45.png (botched artist’s real name) Earlier this year, on March 22nd, 2011 I asked for an update:
http://i.imgur.com/7TPaO.png (I don’t recall having a reply) PROOF: It is very hard to keep track of things with Yuuri. She periodically tears down her gallery/scraps each year. Up until this summer I watched her on FA to keep an eye out for my commission. From when she was paid, until I asked for my refund, the only artwork she uploaded were various other “inky” commissions, adoptables, and some full colors in between. She never finished my commission so on June 26th, 2011 I requested a refund: http://i.imgur.com/UtoXu.png (The link in that note does not work, it was the previous link, except with her real name unblotched.) Edit Insert: She did reply to my request for a refund here: http://i.imgur.com/C5oy2.png EXPLAIN: This is where it gets a little complicated. Today (Nov 21, 2011) I was going to attempt to contact her again but discovered she had blocked me from sending her notes. To me, this looked like she was trying to get rid of a ‘problem’ without resolving it. However I wanted to still see if she had some reasoning behind this. So asked for some assistance from a friend to message her on my behalf. I have blotched out her name because she wants to remain anonymous for the time being. If she needs to reveal her name, then she is ok with that. Friend to Yuuri #1: http://i.imgur.com/a6wTC.png Yuuri Reply #1: http://i.imgur.com/e225f.png This is where her lies start coming in. She claims that I attacked her in my note asking for a refund. I admit that my note was quite snippy though. Friend to Yuuri #2: http://i.imgur.com/L268m.png My friend’s note to Yuuri here is after I shared my own note caps with her as well. This is relevant to the next note Yuuri sends. Yuuri Reply #2: http://i.imgur.com/kwtru.png This is where she is really starting to lie. I never swore at her, and in my opinion I don’t think I was that aggressive. I was unhappy, and I believe I was being quite polite. Apparently she disagrees. Edit: Two new notes have been added. At the first reply wasn't very relevant up until Yuuri responded to my friend in an additional note. Friend to Yuuri #3: http://i.imgur.com/CV3L0.png Yuuri Reply #3: http://i.imgur.com/M04lB.png I don't see how my friend was being rude to Yuuri honestly, she was just acting as a liaison for me. However, Yuuri has gone from saying that I swore at her in my note to her to 'that's just how I took it and how I felt'. This is very different from what she initially was saying. That is all I have. If I have forgotten anything or if there are questions let me know. Thanks! Update: Yuuri has unblocked me and requested my paypal information. Hopefully we can get this resolved soon. Update: Yuuri has issued the refund. Please mark this as resolved.

My name is Electricfox777 on furaffinity.net The deal for the four pics by Sarcatsic were agreed upon on Jan. 21st and paid for on Feb. 5th as can be observed by the screenshot timeline I’ve posted above. After the first pic was completed on Feb. 16th, Ideas were given for the backgrounds of the second, third, and fourth pics. The second pic was proposed finished on March 30th and a small edit was requested added to the pic. The second and third pics were completed and delivered on April 2nd. After that I received no contact from Sarcatsic at all, despite sending her one note a month asking for an update on the final pic. She received and read my notes and comments but never answered me back. By July I was beginning to get a bit aggravated at being completely ignored so I left a shout on her page, as well as a comment in a journal she posted advertising commissions. Still no word came from Sarcatsic until October 9th where she claimed that the receipt she has only shows that I paid for three pics, so three was all she did. I was surprised that she replied at all, but to have such a blatant lie told annoyed me to no end. So I posted a screen shot of my own receipt, showing that I had paid her in full for all four pics, and told her that just because she “believed” me to have only paid for three pics, it doesn’t explain why I’ve been ignored all these months. She replies simply “That's not what mine say, but whatever, here. Take it.” Now in truth I could have left it alone there, but I did not like the pic I was given. As patient as I had been. I did not feel I deserved a half assed pic thrown at me to get me off of her case. But instead of complaining further, I ask for a simple edit. I asked that the eyes and grin of the shadow be added into the pic. She doesn’t respond, and after four days I send her a polite thank you for honoring the arrangement and doing the pic for me. But I also tell her that the wait and being ignored for months was unacceptable and that I’d be posting an A_B against her for these things. She responds with a spiteful note telling me how ungrateful and unprofessional a person and commissioner I am, how I never treated her with any respect, and how I asked for edit after edit to the pics she did for me. I’ll admit I am far from perfect, but you can decide for yourself whether her rant was warranted. The issue may be closed, but I leave this post to warn others who may commission her in the future what I had to go through, and by extension, what they may go through commissioning her. Thank you for reading. Have a nice day.
  19. Nov. 12th, 2011 at 3:10 AM mosasakkine *Edited some wording as per mod request, and a couple more screenshots* Who: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bunnynyn/ ; https://inkbunny.net/kibafuryo What: My version of the image in question is still on my page, and still contains all the drama he brought in, if you're so inclined to read through it. I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up about this guy. He won a pinup auction from me on November 9th, which was to be finished that same night. He first insists that we discuss the commission via messenger, which is against my policy for personal reasons. He claimed he wanted to be sure we were on the same page and that I got it perfect. I let him know that I've never had trouble following instructions through email, and his request was so simple (going so far as to send me a pose reference he wanted me to basically copy) there was no possible way for me to screw it up. I told him that if he really wanted, I could stream it for him. Which I did, and finished the piece in under three hours. He was pleased with it, so I then posted it to FA. My TOS states that by commissioning me, the commissioner is giving me the right to post the image where I like, and that they in turn have my permission to post the work on their own page, as long as they give me credit and post a link to my page. At around 7am EST on Nov 11, my significant other noticed on the front page of FA, that he had uploaded the piece. Only he had added huge black text with his "copyright" info, and a giant SAMPLE across the character. I was kind of annoyed about that, but since this was the first time I've ever had to deal with anybody altering a work I've done for them, I had not covered that situation in my TOS. But he also hadn't credited me in the description. So I made a polite comment requesting that he credit me and upload the unaltered image instead. He hid my comment. So I made another, telling him not to ignore me, and to please respect my wishes or remove the image from his page. I made a journal to state my displeasure, not once calling him by name. You can see that journal here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2899677/ He removed the image from his page. Then he posted a journal about how nobody was allowed to post any artwork of his "copyrighted" character anymore, or he'd sue them, then posted the link to that journal on the submission in my gallery. Hilarity ensued. My submission (WARNING NSFW due to penor): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6828416 What he did to it: http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn_kibafuryo.jpg His journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2900787/ He posted a ton of "threatening legal action" posts, even going so far as to copy/pasta some legal gibberish from a law site, as though he'd actually contacted a lawyer, and posted it both as a comment and as a private note. Our conversation went as follows: http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn1.jpg http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn2.jpg http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn3.jpg http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn4.jpg He chose not to reply to that last note from me. Instead, he went and edited his profile to say "DUE TO RECENT EVENTS WITH A FEW RETARDS ON HERE I HAVE MOVED TO ANOTHER SITE IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS ASK THEN BUT NO LONGER GOING TO DEAL WITH THE DRAMA FEST THAT IS "FA"" I guessed Inkbunny, and wouldn't you know, it wasn't hard to find. He had again uploaded that same altered version, AGAIN without giving me credit. This time he had in the description about how he had to remove it from FA because I had a fit about him uploading it (without mentioning my name). I contacted IB support and had the image removed with no fuss. Seen here:http://rainbow-mouse.net/misc/bunnynyn/bunnynyn5.jpg I posted another journal here, still not naming names http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2901363/ Please also be aware that I did not send anybody after them or encourage them to flame him, reply to his comments, or post on his journal. I avoided posting on his journal myself because I was not trying to incite anything. Again, the situation seems to be resolved for now, until he decides to post the image again, which I have revoked all rights to him being allowed to post anywhere due to his douchebaggery. If you happen to see the image in question uploaded anywhere with his copyright on it, please let me know, and report it if you can. I'm posting it here on A_B because some people have suggested I do so. I would suggest not taking work from this guy unless you like dealing with a childish whiner who will disrespect your art and then threaten you with legal action. Why: Not a clue! Added at Nov 12, 14:00 EST: This has now escalated to the point where he has posted a threatening shout on my FA page (which I have left there to make a point), and trying to reverse the charges on Paypal, which I hope to god they don't take his side, or I'll be on the phone with them. Commissions are my sole income. I don't screw around with this. He has also since nuked his FA account and all the comments he made on my submission, so you're really only seeing half the conversations now. I hope my notes screenshots suffice. Added on Nov 14, 14:14 EST: Some people have started accusing me of acting childish and immature in dealing with this, and that because of that, they think I will lose respect, watchers, and commissions. You are all entitled to your opinions of course, but please realize that in actuality, I have had many people come to me in comment and note and tell me that because of how I handled the situation, they WOULD commission me, so I am seeing the opposite results. I'm sorry if it looks like I have an attitude, but I can assure you that unless you plan to act as this commissioner did, you'd have very little, if any trouble commissioning me. I am very easygoing and friendly, and this is a very extreme case. Ask anybody else who has ever gotten work from me. And so I do not have to keep responding to the six hour thing (the wait between my comment on his submission and my first journal about respect): "Six hours after posting a comment on their page, may or may not have been enough time. My concept of time is skewed, given that my "days" don't end (I'm polyphasic), so what feels like days to me might actually only be six or seven hours because I've already "slept" two or three times. I concede that that I could have waited a little longer, but I honestly doubt it would have made any difference, as I'm pretty sure he hadn't read the journal before hiding the comment. I have no proof, but I gathered as much from the way he responded to me." But in the end, if you still don't like my attitude for whatever reason, enough that you think I warrant a beware of my own, by all means post a topic about me instead of shifting the blame around in this one, which is a totally warranted beware against the commissioner, and my reason for posting here. I can assure you that had not posted here, and if any of you who claim now that my attitude has put you off from commissioning me had been watching me prior to this but was somehow unaware of this situation, you either would have a) not commissioned me based on my general personality anyway b) commissioned me and had a fine experience, because I treat my commissioners with the respect they give me, and I am fairly certain you are all respectable to artists when buying artwork. So please. I absolutely get the picture that I come off as immature to some of you. That horse has been beaten, and unless my personal watchers/commissioners express displeasure with the way I conduct myself, then I will continue to conduct myself as I have been for the last decade of doing commissions, as it has not been hurting me.

  21. Nov. 7th, 2011 at 9:21 AM crssafox WHO: FuziBuni WHERE: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2166964.html (original post is screen capped in case of deletion or editing) WHAT: A large remnant of golden coyote faux fur - when received, it had a very heavy distinctly animal smell to it. WHEN: Early October (currently ongoing) PROOF: I got no reply after this email, so I posted a comment in the original LJ post, since I'd seen she'd been active on LJ and FA, hoping she'd get that. I still got no response, so I sent another e-mail. EXPLAIN: I bought a large remnant of faux fur from close to retail price from FuziBuni earlier in October, with the intent of using it to make tails for sale. October is usually incredibly busy for me sales-wise, and I'm always getting asked for wolf tails, so when I saw FuziBuni was selling some fabric I had been eyeballing over at I'm Stuffed, I decided to help her clear out her closet and make a little extra cash. When I received the box, immediately upon opening there was a heavy animal odor. Upon inspection, the odor was coming from the fabric itself. I let the fabric sit outside on my patio table for a while to air out, and later asked both my husband and my roommate if they could detect the odor as well, since I sometimes have a sensitive nose and I wanted to be sure it wasn't something that just I could smell. They agreed there was definitely an animal scent, so I made attempts at cleaning the fur, including washing in a side-loading washing machine (twice), dousing with Nature's Miracle cat formula, air-drying in the dryer, and letting it hang outdoors to try and air out there. It still maintains the smell. I e-mailed FuziBuni after all of my attempts to remove the odor, but didn't receive a reply. The next day I posted a comment in the original fursuit_auctions thread to notify her that I'd sent her an e-mail, and still got no reply. Finally, I sent her a second e-mail and told her that if I heard nothing back, I would be opening a PayPal dispute, and finally heard back from her. She claimed to have no idea how the scent could have gotten onto the fabric, and suggested it may have been sprayed by a cat while in transit. (I had her ship it to my public address, at a shipping store that receives packages for me so they don't sit outside, so unless a cat got into a postal warehouse or onto a truck, I don't see how this would have been possible.) I replied to let her know that, because of the odor, I feel the fabric is not usable for me, since my intent had been to create new-for-sale items with it. I told her I was open to various options to work this out, including sending it back if she'd refund the $40 (the total less what she paid for shipping) so she could try re-selling it, or perhaps a partial refund in which I would keep the fabric but use it on something else that would not be sold, most likely a dog pillow. Truth be told, the fur itself is in nice condition despite the smell, so if someone were to use it on a personal project or for something not being sold as a brand new item, it might be okay. So while I would have preferred the $40 refund, I would have worked something else out, too. In response, I was told that she didn't have the money to do any kind of a refund, and that she would have to sell other items in order to send me any money. She also wondered if the smell could have been from the plastic aging funny. I let her know that the odor was distinctly animal, and that I needed some kind of resolution by November 4 or I would have to open a PayPal dispute due to the time constraints. I never heard from FuziBuni again after that, despite her continuing to be active online. Finally, on the evening of the 4th, I opened a PayPal dispute under the premise that the item received was not as described - there had been no disclosure of the heavy animal smell in the original listing. As of yet, she has not replied via PayPal's resolution center, nor has she sent any e-mails. It would appear my requests for resolution are just being ignored. At this point, the only resolution I want is a full refund, including what I initially paid for shipping, and to return the fabric to FuziBuni for her to deal with as she sees fit. I not only wasted my time during my busiest month in an effort to salvage the fabric, I've also lost revenue I could have earned had I just bought the fabric brand new in the first place, as my biggest window for selling the wolf tails I'd planned to make has passed since Halloween has come and gone. I understand that there was a minor risk involved when buying fur second-hand from someone that states they own animals. However, not only do I own animals, but I've also purchased from others that own animals before, and have never had this kind of a problem. "I own animals" doesn't necessarily mean that the fabric is going to contain an odor - had it been disclosed from the beginning that this fabric had an animal smell to it, I never would have purchased it, most certainly not for the like-new price. I feel I did my best to work things out with her at this point, but I really can't afford to donate money to someone in exchange for a large piece of fabric I can't even use. Edit: As of 2:28, FuziBuni has initiated a refund via PayPal and it is set to clear on the 14th. Once it clears I will send the fur back to her, and edit this post as well as notify the mods of resolution. Edit 11/17/11: The refund cleared via PayPal on Monday. I boxed the fur back up to return to FuziBuni, and it was sent out via postal service with delivery confirmation yesterday morning. Edit 11/22/11: My delivery confirmation reflects that the box was delivered yesterday, so the return is complete and I'm considering this matter to be resolved. I would urge others to use caution when dealing with Fuzibuni; I had absolutely zero direct communication from her from the time that I initiated the dispute, to the time the refund was sent and cleared, save for the comment she made immediately after this post went through. I'm glad that other folks have received furs from her in good condition - I really wish that she'd been open and communicated with me instead of ignoring attempts to work things out outside of a dispute.

Her response is positive, even though I missed a few things. X 5: There was a bit of back and forth as I drew up new and improved references for my character, but the subject remained the same. I kept her up to date for 'when she was going to work on it'. 6: Fast forward to today's exchange. My name disappeared from the owed-art list, so I asked about it. 7: Screen shot of shouts: X EXPLAIN: In response to a question about whether or not she took commissions for a certain style of feral art she was doing, I asked if she would be willing to trade since she was unable to take commissions. She was very receptive to the idea (1). She sent me a note with what she wanted (2), and I replied with what I wanted. During the next several months, I changed the species of what I wanted and sent her notes to update her with new references. Each time she replied positively and said she hadn't started on it yet. (5) While this was going on, she had my name on her list of 'people she owed art'. Since I was on her to do list I wasn't terribly worried about it. Between the time that I had finished my half (4) and now, she has drawn dozens of personal art pieces and commissions. Commissions are important and should come first, so those I'm not terribly worried about. However, in my perspective, if I owe half of an art trade, that takes priority over numerous personal pieces. I noticed today, after seeing another of her submissions in my messages and going to her page, that my name has vanished from her owed-art list. I ask about it (7) and receive a (rather strange) response. At no point prior to her response was I contacted and told that she was not going to follow through with her half. Today is the first I even heard about this, and it was not agreed upon by both parties. EDIT: She has contacted me asking what I would like to have drawn, but also says it may take a while due to a lot of things going on in her life. Will post updates as they come. The edit above was from the original post and is not current.

Someone's: http://i.imgur.com/au974.jpg/ Hers: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6502794/ While she may have cited her reference in this pic, there's apparently been some controversy surrounding it. Rumor being, she never cited it until she was called out for tracing it. I've heard this from several people, but sadly I can't prove if it's true or not. ***UPDATE*** (Sat, Nov 5th, 2011) - Dipper has made a public apology on her FA account seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2880360 And with that, I have accepted her apology for tracing my work. I believe she's learned from this whole experience and won't turn back to tracing or taking shortcuts again. Whether her apology really is legitimate or not, the important part is she won't be foolish enough to rip people off again, especially now that people are being weary and watchful over her gallery. I didn't mean for this thing to blow up as big as it did, but I felt it was my responsibility to bring all of this to everyone's attention. EXPLAIN: A concerned user had notified me of a commission Dipper had uploaded to FurAffinity. They said it looked like a trace of a livestream doodle I had done for a friend some time ago. I was skeptical until I saw the over-lay (shown in Example1). This is a screenshot of the full description she included in the submission: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/gwiibear_commission.jpg Nowhere did she even credit me. After some word had spread about her trace, she was quick to delete every comment left on her FA account regarding this issue. Example 2 was presented by someone who read about the news of Dipper's tracing. Their comment was: "It got me wondering about my partner's unfinished commissions with her (of which the WIPs have been deleted now apparently?)" Her note to me, including my disappointed response: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote1.jpg Her reply: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote2.jpg ...Which I didn't even reply to, because I had no words. Her last note: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote3.jpg She mentions an artist with an "N" name because, according to my husband, she had noted him explaining that she traced because her commissioner, gwiibear, specifically requested she copy one of the artist's drawings. She refused to do that, but I don't know what made me the exception. I will have screenshots of these notes as soon as my husband gets free time to upload them. All of this has made me feel rather stupid and gullible for taking part in one of Dipper's own charity auctions (Shaytalis paid her $100 for winning my slot, which is no small amount). I actually felt sorry for her. She seemed to be someone with the worst luck in the world, but at this point I no longer feel sorry for her about anything. If she's as emotionally flustered as she claims to be, she probably shouldn't be taking on commissions if it's affecting her business practices like this (unless her commissioners enjoy being lied to and ripped off). I had considered posting this to art_theft, but felt it more fitting to post here considering she's been doing this for commission money. Dipper is an artist I really liked until today. I may be more sore about this than others since it's my art she's been stealing, but what she's done is still rather messed up.

Oct. 28th, 2011 at 9:34 AM nnoitorah This is further to my advice post here: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/530250.html WHO: Bambiboo3 / Happy Tails WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bambiboo3/ WHAT: Premade fursuit head and tail, as seen here: http://www.furbuy.com/auctions/1026446.html WHEN: Auction ended on 12th October 2011. PROOF: Here's a screencap of my communications with Bambiboo3 from winning the auction. A little explanation first though: I do not live in the USA. I had asked Bambiboo3 prior to bidding if she would ship internationally and she said no. Thus I asked if she would ship this to my very good friend of many years who lives in NC, she agreed, and I placed a bid. My intention from there was to either take a trip over soon and collect the partial or arrange for it to be delivered myself, either way, I made clear to Bambiboo3 that the final part of the delivery would be entirely my responsibility. This isn't really relevant to the beware at all but it might clear up any confusion. Here are photos of the package: NB: anything linking to address details has been edited out, as has Bambiboo3's surname as I have not seen this posted publicly. EXPLAIN: On October 12th I won Bambiboo3's auction for a premade fursuit head and tail over on Furbuy. I emailed her asking for a quote on shipping, which she told me would be $35, for a total of $435. I Paypal'd over $435. She replies to me stating that: "you forgot to add the paypal charges so it came in $17.27 short. If you dont mind sending that last bit that would be great" I was a little taken aback as nowhere on the auction had it mentioned a Paypal fee, and I knew this to be against Paypal rules. I also was taken aback that it was implied I'd "forgotten" it, as if I should have known to add this, or she'd told me to add it. I replied to her stating as much and her response was basically that she asked for $435, but that's not what she ended up with after the fee - thus I should make up the rest. At this point I admit my communications (seen above) got a little irate and not as well phrased as they could have been, I was feeling unwell at the time and was not expecting these difficulties. I asked a number of friends online what I should do (I really did want the head and she was saying she'd relist it) or whether it was fair, to which they said it was not. One of them told me it was against Furbuy policy so I contacted them too, asking about that. They responded that it was definitely not acceptable, and thus I replied telling Bambiboo3 so, and she decided to drop the charge. So some days pass and the head arrives with my friend on October 26th. She immediately contacts me by IM to let me know and unpacks it to check everything is in order. The head, I am told, is just fine and is nice quality. She did say to me though, "how much did you say you paid for shipping again?"...to which I replied $35. She advised me it was stickered with $10.74 and a 70 cent Delivery Confirmation - making my bill over $20 higher than the actual shipping cost. I was also told it was packaged in an old blender box and packed with wadded up grocery bags, and you can see that in the photos above, meaning that none of that was spent on packaging, either. Again annoyed, I emailed Bambiboo3 asking about this discrepancy. That was over 24 hours ago, and with all other emails being answered promptly and seeing as she's been faving things on FA, I assume she doesn't have a good simple answer for this. I may be jumping the gun but at this point I can only recommend against dealing with her. I know this head didn't go for as much as she would like - she was looking at around $700 for head and tail before putting it on Furbuy - but my impression is that she just tries to frisk the customer for anything she can get. EDIT - seeing that Bambiboo has been faving art and posting FA journals, I decided to send her another email: Hey again, I see you have been active on FurAffinity so I guess you either did not receive or are ignoring my last email outright. At this point I want to make you aware that I posted about our transaction to "artists_beware" because I am really not impressed with this. - Sarah I feel like I'm probably not going to get anything back at this point, but I think her (most likely) ignoring my last email is really the icing on the cake here. EDIT 2 - Bambiboo3 has replied to my last email quickly. The conversation is as follows (screencaps available if needed, but it's quicker this way for now): I havent recieved an email O.o when did you send it? My response: The email was sent on the 27th just after midnight your time. Here's a copypaste: -last email as shown above- Bambiboo: Wow im sorry , no the first one didnt come through. So the package was shipped parcel? >.< Oh jeaz i apologize it was supposed to be sent express because i wanted to get it out to you as soon as possible since i was a couple days late getting it out. I dont have a drivers license myself so i have someone send the packages out for me they must have mixed up the packages i gave them that day. If you give me your paypal address ill refund that right away. Me: If you would like to refund I suggest you go to your Paypal and open up our transaction, from there you have an option to issue a partial refund. I would prefer it refunded in this way for my records if you could. It would be much appreciated and I will edit the LJ post to reflect this. Thanks, Sarah She has now issued me a refund. I honestly can't say I am convinced by the excuses but I am happy to have a refund and consider the postage part of the beware resolved.

No dice http://i43.tinypic.com/kdrbxe.png - I tried emailing her, but even that was ignored (edited to blur out her email address) Explain: I came to Elliekin for a £15 commission on November 22, 2010 and paid her for it. I’ve been a repeat customer to her in the past and I usually never have problems doing business with her until this year. I sent her a friendly reminder about me not getting my final product and that I want a refund. She’s having some medical issues and is starting an unpaid apprenticeship at the end of June (but it’s already past June now, and I hadn’t heard from her since I received a pm from her, and yet she’s somewhat active and posted a few pics in her gallery recently) I’ve tried pming her to see what’s up. Nothing. She just flat-out ignored me. I’ve sent her another pm, saying that it’s rude and unprofessional to ignore pms asking for commission refunds and that I’m worried about getting screwed over, but she never read it. I’ve tried contacting her through LJ and email, but still no answer. Something tells me she’s now very difficult to contact these days Even though she's got some nice art at good prices, I would advise anyone not to commission her (unless if they don’t mind waiting a long time with no commissioned art or refund) ETA: she commented on this post, saying that she hasn't respond due to a huge vital deadline her company's having recently and she only be logged in to her work email and hasn't been on DA much. I'll consider this issue resolve
