About Me

  1. I would also like to add, with the excuse about that type of fur material. I looked at the twitter post about this suit, and someone posted a suit they have made from the same/similar material. It looks good and not super wrinkly, NOTHING to the degree of awful that this suit is. I really feel I should point this out and say it's not the material, this is overall just bad quality.
  2. So, first off, you filed this artist beware dating it 12/12/2018 however your first payment was in december of 2018? you state it was late 2018 that the problems occured, however its only recently that problems have developed second, you have started a gofund me prior to resolving it with the seller. third you understand do to the lion king ref you have to modify the suit due to copyright. fourth short pile fur is gunna show everything, and depending on body size and type its fitted as close to you as possible. fifth you are crying foul and rallying people to a cause because you are not happy trying to get a refund and gofund me is a double standard. according to your monthly payments it seems like you had to take time to pay for it then have it rushed for a international con??? sixth before acting like an entitled and expect VIP treatment it seems theyve done theyre best to accommodate you and work with you. 7th the cost of materials has risen so high do to the US's current trade tarrifs that materials ezpecially synth furs are 15-25% higher so its obvious sellers will adjust and protect themselves both in TOS and cost. ALSO i feel like you are not divulging all the information regarding this issue?
  3. This item has been upgraded from a Caution to a Beware given the suit's construction flaws and the fact that it is unlikely to meet deadline. Currently, there are three emails in queue to be added to the post, but we are waiting on Camaro to supply a few more concerning the DTD and the fur selection. Please note: Users do not have the ability to edit their own posts, so we're doing our best to keep it updated.
  4. Not only that, but the fur on the bridge of the nose looks wrinkled. There's not even a joint there to create wrinkles.
  5. This is pretty bad quality. Is that even faux fur? It looks like minky fabric which I....don't think I've seen a suit made with before. It looks so wrinkly, they didnt even attempt to make the zipper discrete, the tail looks slapped on, the whole thing is so low quality for the price tag paid, they should have the experience to know better. Have they sent photos of the finished head from the front? I'd be curious to see how that came out with them pushing a rodent base.
  6. justcheezit (justcheezit) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-14 17:59 Commissioner beware: Loftyk9 WHO: Loftyk9 WHERE: Tumblr/Fur Affinity WHAT: 4 part sketch sequence/ mini comic WHEN: Nov. 16th 2018 - Jan. 6th 2019 EXPLAIN: I did a commission for Loftyk9 back in November 16th of 2018; of which hadn't been paid for until January 6th of 2019. Initially they had an error with the payment due to an unstable connection,I had given them time to rectify this error as I had other clients drafts to handle. More hindrances came about, ranging from being in the hospital, handling holiday related expenses and once again running into more transaction errors when reminded of the invoice a month and a half after the commission had been completed. I will openly admit to having handled it poorly on my behalf by not enforcing my pay up front policy; however, having given them more than enough time to have the transaction handled, being promised it would be handled at the moment of being reminded, and finally being told of a similar transaction error or simply getting no response until asked again, their credibility has been damaged and I'm unable to say that they're pleasant to do business with. PROOF: Gallery detailing the initial transaction, error and eventual resolving https://imgur.com/a/afyOXUR
  7. In 2017 I ordered a small piece of fur fabric and a badge from Jheman on telegram. I paid around $35 for the items plus shipping. I have not received them 2 years later after giving more than enough chances for them to send me the items. The artist would consistently make up excuses for why they haven't sent the items and would assure me that they would, and time after time I was disappointed.
  8. Then he should be showing you receipts to prove that he bought fur. And if you don't want to be his client anymore, he should allow you to drop the commission -- not insist he's going to make the suit, anyway, because he spent money. I wouldn't want to do business with him.
  9. I would love to know what has happened to the rest of the money. He should have some left over, after he bought fur. I'm guessing he spent everything.
  10. um wow... she kind of doesn't seem to realize that YES you own her time when you purchase from her, cause you are paying her to actively work on something.... annnd there's the mental illness excuse, that's an insult to other makers that have handicaps/mental illnesses and still are able to do the work they advertise an still provide. I ...really hope she doesn't stay in the fur suit making business.. or heck commissioning business because wooow.
  11. Mar. 23rd, 2012 at 4:16 PM huttsercoyote WHO: Kwallie on FA and DA WHERE: www.furaffinity.net/user/kwallie and http://kwallie.deviantart.com/ and Facebook WHAT: Digital commission of HTTYD artwork featuring fursona. Paid $20 USD on February 12, 2012. http://tinypic.com/r/11hc9rb/5 WHEN: Communication began on February 8, 2012. Payment sent through Paypal on February 12, 2012 and received on February 16, 2012. No word has been spoken since time of clearance, and no notes have been sent. Has been active on Facebook since time of purchase. PROOF: http://tinypic.com/r/14lpjb6/5 Fur Affinity notes. http://tinypic.com/r/15ecmqs/5 Deviant Art note (unopened). http://tinypic.com/r/71k861/5 Facebook profile (updated). http://tinypic.com/r/23rlkqd/5 Personal Facebook messages. EXPLAIN: I commissioned 'Kwallie' back early February about commissioning a digital flat color commission featuring my fursona, Huttser Coyote, in a scene from How To Train Your Dragon. Kwallie was eager to accept the commission, and $20 was sent to her Paypal and received on February 16, 2012. Upon payment, I asked her to have it done within the following week (week of Feb. 16-23). After the note had been sent on FA, I received no further word from her, both on FA and DA. No notes were opened on either site. Since she provided her real name, I found her Facebook and politely asked for updates on my commission, since there was no communication on either site, and her Facebook is active (see updated Facebook). To this date, I have received no communication from her at all, and she continues to update her Facebook status and page frequently.

I commissioned him for a friend's birthday gift, asking if he'd be able to make a fairly tight deadline (around two weeks). He agreed and finished it only three days later. As well as being quick, he was extremely polite and very upbeat, and his work is consistently wonderful. I couldn't recommend him more. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7422534 marus_puppy Mar. 6th, 2012 04:08 pm (local) dozmuffinxc 1. dozmuffinxc of LJ (not sure if she has another gallery, I certainly haven't found one and I've looked around.) 2. http://dozmuffinxc.livejournal.com/ 3. I worked with her from mid-December 2011 until early January 2012 4. I participated in a charity auction on LJ starting in December and offering one of my custom animal ornaments of whatever the winner wanted and she was the winner! She was a real sweetheart throughout the whole process giving me some slack when it came finals and my moving home for break, put up several journal posts about how excited she was about it, and even sent me a thank you card! :D For a little unknown artist like me, that was soooo wonderful. She's such a gracious commissioner, anyone would be lucky to work with her!! korsetkoat Mar. 6th, 2012 04:41 pm (local) kinasaur 1. kinasaur 2. http://kinasaur.deviantart.com/ 3. A few days ago 4. Krowzi 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/krowzi 3. Commissioned August 28th 4. I commissioned Krowzi on August 28th for a pair of dolls. By the end of October, she had completed the dolls and shipped them. When they hadn't arrived by the end of January (she is in Canada and I am in the US so we thought maybe they got stuck in customs) she offered to remake the dolls for me and reship them for me as long as I covered the shipping costs. Even though this was neither party's fault that they got lost in the mail, she rectified the situation and provided me with two gorgeous dolls! Not only is her craftsmanship worth the money but she provides the customer service to go with it! Thanks Krowzi! <3 (Original dolls that got lost: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/comis/ICEE.jpg , and the remade ones that made it safe and sound: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/icee2.jpg ) sisterskift Mar. 6th, 2012 04:52 pm (local) 1. Reddyeno5 was having a charcoal portrait sale at a massive discount, so I decided to get one. Communication was great and the portrait itself was finished very fast but doesn't look rushed at all: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7417490/ I received the traditional copy within a short amount of time, and it had no damage or smudges whatsoever. I'm very happy with the finished product and I would definitely commission them again. puritikoneko Mar. 6th, 2012 05:37 pm (local) 1. Katibara 2. http://furaffinity.net/user/Katibara 3. Commissioned on February 14th for a Valentine's Day sketch. Commissioned again on the end of February for a Lineart (To be colored). 4. I've been commissioning Katibara for small purchases here and there for over a year now, the last two this past February being the most recent. I find it very appealing that she works so fast with the references given and always does an amazing job with the characters. Lately, she's only been taking small commissions here and there via stream, so if you're looking for something quick and pretty for a really, really good price, try keeping an eye out for her stream commission advertisements. She's very polite, and makes sure that what she's working on is satisfactory, even if it's something like a $3.00 sketch. I've seen her make several changes to a single sketch for someone else at their request without a fuss. She's a real peach to work with and her customer service skills are stellar. My commissioned pieces from Kati: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7479471 (Will be colored) - $10.00 for the line art, paid an extra $5.00 at my request to have it colored (she offered to color it for $2.00) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7404546 (Far right) $3.00 Edited at 2012-03-06 05:38 pm (local) charryzarry Mar. 6th, 2012 07:20 pm (local) 1. I cannot think of enough good things to say about this artist; if you buy a piece from him, you definitely won't regret it. GO DO IT NOW! A very reliable artist, with a great work ethic. Not afraid to talk to you if she's unsure about something. Also, she draws the cutest eyes: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7534518 Been really happy with everything I've got from her, and looking forward to more. inkstainedrat Mar. 7th, 2012 12:30 pm (local) I second Miss Neko. I commissioned her for the second time last month and she was an absolute joy to work with. She provided an amazingly swift turn around, thoughtfully brought up details I hadn't even considered but proved to be an asset to character design, maintained very good communication/contact, and helped bring a new character to life for me. Her customer service skills are exemplary. latiro Mar. 6th, 2012 09:43 pm (local) wolf-nymph/shadow-wolf/Eskiworks 1. wolf-nymph (FA)/shadow-wolf (DA)/Eskiworks (Nabyn) 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wolf-nymph/ (FA)/ http://shadow-wolf.deviantart.com/ (DA)/ http://eskiworks.nabyn.com/ (Nabyn) 3. completed on March 5 via Livestream 4. I had commissioned Carn for a very complex art doll of my character Iktomi (see icon for reference) and she completed him 3 days later in his full glory. Her talent and kind heart definitely go far, but her time was just remarkable. I've been handling Iki now for a bit today and he's fully poseable right down to his wings! Details (Here's where you tell us why they are so awesome! What made the transaction go so well? Zenia is very quick, and goes through the commission step by step with you via email. She will make sure you are happy with every detail and is generally just a pleasure to work with. :) The turn around on my last piece was something like 3 days I think. She doesn't trade quality for speed either so no worries on that count. She did an excellent job on both pieces! On the Minerva commission I didn't give her too many details on the Byakhee mount, and it seems she went and looked up some more details on her own. I can't recommend her enough, I know I'll be going back to her when I need some more art done. For the curious, here are the two pieces I commissioned, though be forewarned she does have some properly flagged NSFW art in her profile so be careful when looking at work. My girlfriend commissioned Elmenora for a traditional sketch of two of our OCs in October of 2011. (Original Sketch seen here in the lower right hand corner: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6864256/ ) As adorable as the rough sketch was I had to get it finished. Her charge to finish the sketch traditionally was very reasonable and she was a sweetheart to work with. Communication was very good and turn around time was excellent, even including two segments of shipping time. A scan of the completed image can be found here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7528984/. It is safe for work. The finished water color painting is far more vibrant than the scan, I believe her scanner ate some of the color. All together Elmenora was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely do business with her again. zin103 Mar. 20th, 2012 06:51 pm (local) 1. rebornedphoenix 2. http://rebornedphoenix.deviantart.com/ 3. Can't remember exact date but about a month for the commission to be done to start to finish 4. Details: She may take a long time because she got life issue but if she is late, she will always admit she wrong and say sorry. Not like many artist who left me hanging for 6 month without even saying sorry <_< One of her best skill is following direction, paying attention to detail, and actually listening to what people want. So I don't need to give her a bunch of direction but only a few guideline and she won't disappoint me ever. I commission her like 3 time and I am always blown away. I think she one of the few who take time to read what I give her. She also draw everything from nude, guy, girl, yaoi, etc which is also hard to find.
  13. Jan. 11th, 2012 at 3:00 PM jamjams WHO: radioactive-heartsx WHERE: deviantART WHAT: Commission WHEN: 5 months ago On Aug 27, 2011 I was approached by the user radioactive-heartsx on deviantART regarding a plush commission of her cat character. At first I quoted her $105 as the original price for the commission, but decided to lower the price to $90, since I've never been asked or commissioned to make a cat plushie, and because I had all the fur materials needed to make her plush. Here's a screenshot of our full conversation regarding all the plush details: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/198462502/2168067233 After our discussion through comments we took it to notes so I could give her my paypal information, once given, she told me she was unable to pay until October, which I told her was fine since I had no other prior commissions to worry about. Here's a screenshot of our conversation about payment details (paypal address was blacked out.) http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c237/JamJams/Commissionpaymentnotes1.jpg Then on September 6, 2011 I received a note from her asking about the progress of the plush so far -- I told her that I had everything cut out and within the next couple of days I would have a WIP set of pictures for her, which she was fine with. Here's a link to a screenshot of the note she sent me regarding the progress of the plush. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c237/JamJams/NoteaboutWIPpictures.jpg On September 11, 2011 I sent her the first set of WIP pictures of the plush, and she told me she was actually unable to pay till Oct. 15th, which again was fine since at this point I did receive another plush commission so I put her's on hold and started to work on the plush commission that was actually paid in full ( it states in my ToS that I work on plushies in the order payment was received, so since this user paid before her's their plush became priority number one). On October 14, 2011 I decided to just go ahead and upload the WIP pictures of the plush to my deviantART account (seen here - http://jamjams.deviantart.com/art/white-and-black-cat-plush-WIP-263479518 ) since I was about finished with the one, and I wanted to remind her of the commission since contact at this time was very scarce. -- When October 15, 2011 came I expected to receive a note from her along with payment for the plush... I received neither. Finally on October 17, 2011 I hear from her through the comments I left on her front page linking her to the WIP pictures (comments can be seen here http://comments.deviantart.com/4/12297780/2237637305 also here's a link to a note I sent her on the 17th http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c237/JamJams/notes.jpg which was the last note I received from her). November 10, 2011 I decided to go ahead and try and make contact with her once more since she appeared to be active on deviantART, (the note I sent her can be seen here: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c237/JamJams/lastnotesent.jpg ). The note I sent her was read, but never replied to. Its been 5 months of not receiving payment nor any contact about the cancellation of the plush, I figured it was time to place a beware about this user, since apparently she's done this before.

  15. I took my 15 year old granddaughter to her first fur con on October 28th. After circling the Dealers Den many times she commissioned this artist to do a badge of her fursona. She paid Zrcalo $15 cash for a gold badge. A photo was taken of her fursona and information was written down in their ledger, ie name, address, special details. Communications have all taken place afterwards on Twitter. I think the copies of this communication will speak for its self. As of today, Jan 7, 2019, the last communications I sent, Dec. 30, 2018, has been ignored by Zrcalo. At this point other furries have come forward to compensate my granddaughter with their kindness. I do not want anything from Zrcalo. I want others to be aware of their unprofessional business practice.

  17. Thank you. I'll be sure to contact AZ Fur Con. I did try to contact them on twitter with no response. I will go through their website and send a message. I appreciate the comments and guidance.
  18. I actually think the gender thing is possible. Wasn't this the suit maker who went on a rant on Twitter about there only being 2 genders? I have them blocked, so I'm assuming this is the case. Either way, it doesn't matter. They shouldn't have used the money if they hadn't started on the project - and if they bought the fur and other stuff already, they should have refunded what they had left, then paid back the rest. I will never understand artist using money that isn't technically theirs yet, unless they know 100% positive they are going to get the art out. Personally, if I was still doing art, I would NOT use the money until the project was done sans materials.
  19. Jul. 31st, 2011 at 9:00 PM nightfell WHO: Baroo/Doctori-Lightning WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/doctori-lightning/ http://myfur.net/profile/Baroo PROOF: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/nightfell/Art Micellaneous/Baroo_ABpost.jpg?t=1312159399 http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/nightfell/Art Micellaneous/BarooFA_ABpost.jpg?t=1312159437 EXPLAIN: After putting down non-refundable deposit on a fursuit head commission, Baroo can't decide if he wants to proceed with the order or not. He has cancelled and un-cancelled with me multiple times during this entire transaction and finally sent me a note saying I was " not being slightest bit understanding about this. If you are going to make me wait almost a year for a fursuit head then at least lower the final price or purchase materials to show you are serious about providing your client with the most satisfying service as soon as you are able to." I'm honestly baffled and very disappointed that this had to happen. I've done hundreds of art commissions and over 10 suit commissions never had anyone lash out so negatively. The MyFur message and FA note screen caps pretty much explain the entire situation, but it gets a little messy/hard to read since there are a lot of one-liners. May12- I was first contacted by Baroo on MyFur for a fursuit head commission. I provide a quote after being given a reference sheet May 26- I receive a 20% deposit of $90 via PayPal and confirm that he has been scheduled for October 2011 completion in time for Halloween. July11-Baroo contacts me that he might have another head commission opportunity for a cheaper price and asks if the deposit is refundable. I tell him unfortunately not but to let me know of his final decision before the end of the week so I can reschedule my Fall 2011 work queue if needed. July 13- Baroo officially backs out of the commission and asks for a refund, despite the fact I had already informed him that the deposit was non-refundable. However I told him I was willing to work out an art/fursuit part exchange that totaled $90. He expresses interest and asks for a list of prices which I give him a link for. I take him off the work queue and schedule in another commissioner who wanted fursuit parts from me. July 14- Baroo changes his mind and decides to get the head commission but wants to pay “ just pay very VERY slowly”. I tell him no problem, I can reschedule him for January 2012 which works well for his budget and since I only deliver completed suits when they have been paid in full. July 14- Same day, Baroo sends me a My Fur message asking how much I charged for handpaws and for illustration art combos. I’m rather confused at this point since he cancelled with me, wanted the commission again, and now wants to go through with the trade/exchange? I roll with it and tell him to choose what he wants and I’ll give him confirm the price. July 25- Baroo sends me a FA note saying he wants the fursuit head commission. I tell him fine, but I have to rescind the exception I made regarding the art/fursuit for deposit trade if he decides to cancel with me again. July 27- Baroo contacts me regarding a conbadge commission. This is somewhat not relevant to the A_B post, since the transaction took place with no problem and the art was delivered. July 30- Baroo asks if the commission can be done earlier if he pays me more money. I remind him that Oct is already taken and if his financial situation hasn’t changed, I didn’t suggest changing the Jan 2012 deadline. July 31- I get this note. I recap the situation and inform him to reconsider what his note means and request for him to be patient. He sends me this response and an hour later he says he sends another note saying he still wants the fursuit head. In my reply, I tell him that I did not want to do business with him and will be refunding his $90 deposit and posting on A_B. Fellow artists, please be careful when dealing with this individual.
