  1. I'm honestly surprised it took this long for her to earn a beware given that when I ordered my commission in 2014 she was also having issues with keeping her queue in check. While she has made excellent strides in dealing with it in the past, it doesn't seem to ever significantly get better. Unfortunately, I've unwatched her since she adopted a "no refunds" policy and defended it despite it being highly unethical.
  2. We will stick this as an update to your post!
  3. Artists Beware Moderator Code of Conduct The Duties of a Moderator All moderators listed on the Staff Page fall into one or more of these categories. Below are the ranks for moderators and what their duties are: Queue Mods - Review incoming bewares for adherence to the Submission Guidelines. Queue mods may opt out of being Comment Mods. Comment Mods - Watch the comments and forums for inappropriate activity. Review incoming comments on bewares. Comment mods always double as Queue Mods. Administrators - Work both comments and the queue. Handle back end and technical work on the website. Are responsible for direction of all other moderator categories. Official owners of Artists Beware. Special Moderator Categories The following moderators are special ranks and do not field general user questions: Forum Mods - Assigned to a specific forum, or may be a general forum mod. They do not have access to the queue, nor have the ability to moderate comments on bewares. Web Admin - For technical issues only. You may contact an Administrator to forward any problems to the Web Admin, or you may contact @Alex Wright. Please note our web admin also moderates comments when necessary. Other Staff Categories Helper - Paid individuals hired to help Artists Beware temporarily. These individuals are not moderators. If you see a Helper working, they cannot help you with site issues. Once their tasks are complete, they will be reverted back to their original status. Artists Beware opens for Helpers on our Twitter account at a rate of $16.50 USD/hr. We hire in 3 hour shifts. Code of Conduct Artists Beware has volunteer staff. Due to the nature of the community we ask that all moderators adhere to the following Code of Conduct. 1. Moderators are to remain professional and polite even when users are not. We will not tolerate name-calling, cursing, or repeated snarking. 2. What happens in the queue and direct user communication stays private. Always. We are privy to medical, personal, and private social information sometimes. Leaking of this information to the public will result in an immediate dismissal. 3. Moderators are to be in good business standing with the community. Moderators are not exempt from bewares. We understand that life happens, and a singular beware is not an automatic dismissal. Yet, if poor business behavior becomes a consistent issue we will ask the moderator step down. 4. Moderators should be able to handle disagreements with fellow moderators gracefully. Sometimes a beware will not be cut and dry, and will need extensive discussion. Mods who are out-voted must handle themselves with grace. 5. Moderators are expected to be unbiased when moderating the queue. There will be a time when the bewaree in queue is a friend or someone close. A beware will never be rejected on the basis that the bewaree is a friend, family member, or partner. If a moderator finds they can't be unbiased, they may sit out discussion on the beware without penalty. Moderators may speak their personal opinions on bewares granted they follow Item 1. 6. A moderator's outside behavior should foster trust in the community. Artists Beware submissions can have sensitive information. Our users put a lot of trust into team members. Moderators who hold racist, transphobic, and/ or homophobic views are not a good fit for the team and will be let go.
  4. Positive reviews no longer require a mod to make a thread. The Rules for Commenting have been updated to clarify that comments also have to be constructive. Trainee Mod role has been added. General Reviews Forum has been deleted as the purpose of the forum was unclear. Do users want a place where they can curate general, neither entirely good nor entirely bad reviews on artists and clients?
  5. Howdy! This is not a question the community at large is equipped to answer. This is something best left to members of the Queue Mod team only when your beware is submitted with all of the supporting information we require. If it feels like a valid case, we will approve your post. If not we will send you a rejection notice. If you have further questions feel free to contact one (1) Moderator from our Staff page.
  6. Moderators can see your registered email address. You are Eylon. Don't even attempt to pull that stunt here. Any further attempts from you to keep up this charade will simply not be approved.
  7. I want to note preemptively that while Kuro is welcome to participate in our comments, if he attempts to post any doxxing or any threads in relation to Kiwi Farms he will be automatically banned. That trash is not welcome here.
  8. I've added their other account to your beware.
  9. The "client" / bewaree (cautionee?) in this instance is so ridiculously incorrect that it hurts. No, they don't just get to toss out a magical "client ToS" and override your copyright. Copyright is granted unto you upon creation, and unless you signed a contract stipulating what rights the client has then it all automatically defaults to you. Filing a lawsuit has to be done in your county with your legal details, which they likely don't have. On top of that, while they could file suit for just about anything this one would be thrown out because there was no signed contract. If they attempt to upload the sketch anywhere file a DMCA notice. If they attempt to get the sketch finished by someone else or violate your Moral Right to it in any manner, please update us and we will upgrade this to a full beware. This is ridiculous.
  10. Positive reviews for dinoPharaoh!
  11. Positive reviews for Skdaffle.
  12. Positive reviews for @vampbyte on Twitter!
  13. That's fantastic to hear! We will update our social media accounts accordingly.
  14. @Dergish and I will be out of town for Texas Furry Fiesta.  Please do not direct messages to us, as we may not respond promptly.

  15. If he hasn't actually given you the final image then it really isn't resolved, unless you're willing to accept what he's given you thus far.
  16. We do not remove posts, but will mark it as resolved.
  17. Changed Resolved to Yes
  18. Changed Resolved to Resolved
  19. Howdy went ahead and updated your post. As a note: users can't delete their own content from our site.
  20. Changed Resolved to Resolved
  21. Howdy! This kind of question can't be answered by our community members, and is best left for staff. We can't give you a determination if something will pass thr queue without seeing the full transaction. However, this sounds like it would fit best in the Artist Caution category. Please review the submission guidelines for what would need to be censored, and a submission link is available at the bottom of the page.
  22. A comment was not approved for proxy. Individuals who have had issues with an artist are welcome to share their experiences, but third parties are asked to refrain from doing so.
  23. Rules for Participation and Commenting The following rules are for all users to follow. Failure to do so will result in action being taken against your account. The goal for these rules is to keep Artists Beware constructive, impartial, and a valuable resource for the community. Bewarees should feel welcome to participate without feeling like they are about to jump into a proverbial shark tank. Commenting Rules 1. Comments are to remain professional, constructive, and on topic. No name calling. No unnecessary hostility. Non-business related issues is off-topic. (Aka we don't want to hear about a bewaree's personal drama.) Comments that are simply "I won't buy from this person" or "beware on both OP and artist" that do not add value to the beware's comments may not be approved. Transphobic, Homophobic, and Racist language will result in an immediate ban. Well wishes such as "I hope this gets resolved, OP!" are ok, but please see the "dogpiling" section on using the like feature. 2. No excessive personal information. This includes, but is not limited to: Financial situations. What someone is spending their money on. Personal disputes. Attempts to guilt trip artists / clients due to personal matters. 3. Dogpiling will be handled at moderator discretion. Do not wait for moderators to steer the comments back in the right direction. If you see multiple comments sharing the same sentiment as you, please use the like feature instead. 4. Do not pressure submitters over how they want their beware resolved. If a user expresses that they do not want X or Y in relation to their transaction please do not force the issue. 5. Do not imply a beware does not belong here or should be deleted. All submissions are moderated. If it's in Artists Beware then it belongs here. Users do not have the ability to edit or delete their own posts. 6. Questions or comments in bewares directed at staff will not be approved. Please PM one (1) staff members with questions, comments or concerns. We won't approve your comment, but will respond to you if necessary privately. 7. No self advertisement in bewares or advice posts. 8. Do not backseat moderate. All comments are manually approved, so do not chastise other commenters. If a post needs the tags updated, feel free to PM us! If you discover alternate aliases, you are welcome to drop them into the comments but ensure it's absolutely 100% the same person or it will be hidden. No "similar styles". Same email address. Same art. Same characters or it's not a 100% confirmation. When Contacting/ Responding to Moderators 1. Please choose one (1) moderator to contact with questions. It's ok if you don't understand the instructions we've sent or need clarification! We will be happy to help you. Questions should be only directed to our PMs or Twitter DMs. Do not contact moderators on their personal accounts. (At the moment our external email is down. If you would like to use email instead please contact celestinaketiza at gmail for the time being.) 2. When responding to a Rejection Notice rude or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. We will give you clear instructions on what to include if we need a resubmission. The items in your rejection notice are not up for debate. Resubmission explaining why you are not following some or all of the instructions will result in another rejection. If we are outright rejecting your post, then we will outline clearly the conditions in which you may resubmit. If there are none, then your rejection is final. Depending on the severity of your behavior you may be escalated to an immediate permanent ban. 3. The Report Content feature is for inappropriate content that requires immediate moderator attention. It is not an appropriate venue to respond to a Rejection Notice or to respond to a moderator comment. Please PM us. Users who repeatedly misuse the Report Content feature will have the feature removed from their account. 4. Bewares are not deleted. If you have proof the contents of a beware on you is false, calmly hand over the information to one (1) Administrator and they will present it to the chat. Legal threats will result in your account being banned from this site, all social media sites, and all communication ceasing. It is not libel if the content provided to us is true. If it is not true follow the instructions above. We do not tolerate users abusing our archive. 5. Moderator action is final. Contacting us to argue about why action against your account was wrong will not reverse the final decision. Contacting a different moderator to argue your case will not result in the decision being revoked. Actions Taken Against Accounts 1. Polite reminders are not official action against accounts. If your comment was not posted, but you didn't receive an official warning notice then you aren't in trouble! We're just trying to keep bewares and forum comments streamlined, on topic, and constructive. 2. Official warning notices come from the built-in warning system. They are clearly visible on your Profile Page. After three (3) official warnings a user will be banned. 3. Temporary bans vs. permanent bans. A temporary ban may be issued at moderator discretion if a user is becoming too heated in a beware or forum post. They are not part of a permanent strike against a user's account, and the user is welcome to return and comment with a clean slate. We need you to take a breather! A permanent ban is when all three (3) warnings have been accumulated, or a user's behavior was poor enough to warrant an immediate ban. Permanent bans from Livejournal have not carried over. You are welcome to participate again with a clean slate. 4. If for any reason you need to deactivate your account, contact one (1) Administrator. Deactivation will not delete your content. Deactivation will lock your account. We will reverse a deactivation once. Moderator Code of Conduct Violations All moderators are to adhere to the Moderator Code of Conduct. In the event a moderator is violating these rules please contact one (1) Administrator.
  24. Positive reviews for Pornography.
  25. Howdy! Sorry for not dropping back in sooner. We discussed this internally, and would greatly prefer to keep AB strictly professional.
