I purchased this YCH in January 2020. I received one single update of a sketch, as shown, and that's it. I tried to be friendly, I tried to remind them and encourage and support them. But now it's been 3 months and I haven't gotten anything. I added them via Discord months ago and they never responded even though on their profile they have their email and discord "linked to their phone" and to contact them there. So I did but no response. Having 3 month old messages unopened and sitting in my outbox is getting under my skin since I paid $120 for it but nothing has been done. I sent the last message today, I can't even get a refund via PayPal because it's been too long. I'm at the end of my rope with sympathy and understanding at this point. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33717875/

Beware : Roger / Starnosekid [Warning : ABDL/diaper artist]
Raggedy posted a record in Artist Bewares
On November 15th Roger had posted a YCH that interested me, I had reached out to him and secured a slot in the YCH list. Upon securing a slot I was met with a very polite person who gathered the information required and quickly sought out to work. I had received a few updates within the week of paying them, and was really excited to see the finished product! However after a few weeks, I had not heard anything or received any updates, so I reached out and Roger explained that a few design choices I made may take longer, I reassured him that that would be fine and to take his time and not stress over it! After a while I still had not heard or received any progress updates, and had sent a few messages with a month in between, I know with Covid during January things kinda were starting to go upside down, so I was understanding!~ They finally responded and apologized and said they didn't mean to ghost me. I shrugged it off and told them not to worry about it. I then waited another 3 months with 1 message probing for updates once each month, with no response, when in march he finally responded with a screenshot of a small portion of the commission. I was pleased to see any progress at this point, as it has been quite a few months for a simple YCH. I praised them for their work and then waited for the next update to come, hopefully soon. For the last 5 months I've sent 1 message each month, asking for any sort of updates or response, and despite twitter saying that most of them were read, no response. This time I was getting worried, as they were posting frequently on their feed, but not responding to DM's. So I figured maybe I'll try messaging them on FA, maybe twitter DM's were messed up or something. So I proceeded to message them on FA, and about a day later I noticed that the message had been read, at the time of writing this post, that was almost 2 weeks ago. I really don't like going to this level with artists, especially those that I have commissioned in the past, but I am apparently not the only one, according to a recent shout on their FA shout list. So I just want to caution whoever I can, they draw great art, but just be mindful if you consider commissioning them!- 2 comments

I feel i should do this after urging from an artist friend. early this year before a friends birthday i commissioned SugarPup on telegram from a local group chat. the art piece i ordered was something i dont believe was very much but it was 3 characters in a small shaded piece sitting together. thinking hey life gets busy and as an artist it would be valid to have a que for art i asked if they did indeed have one which you can see at the bottom of this post. At the price i have paid it was said to be at $45 but i did the transfer as friends and family since it wouldn't need them to pay for the full payment as such it came out at $46.61. since this is a decent chunk of change as at this point life had some curveballs and i lost my job i was a little more on edge with anything i spent money on as of this month, (july) there hasnt been any progress on the art piece to my knowledge and after multiple conversations spanning months to date usually simple things like. "hey hows things going with the art piece?'" but being a trusting person i am not sure how much of her replies have been valid with irl things happening alot to herself and her dogs they own so i gave them more time. at first it was a simple 2 month delay and i checked in in march. but as of now in july currently the 26 at time of posting i havent heard back from her and her telegram nickname has changed and the group we shared at one point she is no longer in so im not entirely sure if she is ghosting me or if something else has come up hence why this is a caution. granted ive been lucky and had an artist take a while due to other circumstances.,I cant go into who but it took over a year but i did finally get the piece and some extra material as compensation for the delay. i currently have no way of knowing if SugarPup has done any work on my commision to date or if she will ever finish or send it forward as she still has no art que to my knowledge and i cannot get ahold of the artist via any known means i would love to get my money back or get my commision but im not sure what steps to take from here... ;-;

-- This is my first post here and I really don't want to be writing this. So sorry if some details are fuzzy or if this post is messy. Paypal are attached. $80 to start, added $20 more later. So in 2018 I was looking for Telegram stickers to be done in-stream. I posted over on Facebook to find Almighty. They responded -- Which I instantly sent details over FA. -- They didn't work very long on my commission, only maybe, 30 minutes. Which was fine! I didn't have a problem with that at all. I think I contact them a day later about my commission -- -- But as you can see, they didn't really update me here at all. -- -- So opted for Discord! At this point I was getting really on edge, they post a lot on Facebook. Even about commissions. And I saw progress once on stream. Here are shots of all my conversation with her on Discord. I left out some of the bottom half for my privacy. She claims she had no internet despite being very active on Facebook. I dunno, it seems weird to me. (I could be wrong.) And here's the last message I've sent her. No response.

I had contacted them in March because I really enjoyed their art and they were open for commissions. We had talked a bit and and settled on a three character commission. The price was really cheap essentially being 1 usd per character. However I paid them and they never delivered, I went back to check on them and they said they had “personal problems” jump forward months later, today I went to check up on them only to find out I was blocked. I’m not complaining about the fact I lost about 3 Usd but more of the fact that they took the money and ran.

Contacted him via E-mail, where we confirmed the commission script idea then moved to discord for faster chat. In discord we settled on the price/rates where I proceeded to pay half up front on 9/15/19 (150 USD) (censored Screen shot below) They worked on the first page which was submitted for review and verification on 10/17/19 They have had zero responses in discord since 10/17/19. (screen shot below) I sent a check up via discord, which states a generic either no longer valid/blocked response. I found the original contact e-mail and sent a update request and have still received no response. I found his twitter and sent him inquiry on the discord issue, they sent a response confirming their discord was still active (so that means it had to be blocked), so confirmed why I was contacting them. Upon realizing this was regarding a commission they flaked on they then blocked me on twitter as well. (screen shot below) at this point it's been 9 months since the last actual confirmation of any work from the artist with all attempts to contact them resulting in ghosting/blocks.

On the 28th of September, 2019, I bid on and successfully won a YCH auction. There were a few issues with paypal (detailed below) but payment was eventually successfully sent on September 30th, 2019. I sent subsequent Furaffinity notes at the start of November, then again in February, then once more June requesting a refund. On all occasions, I have been promised the artwork in the next several days. On each occasion this was false, no art has been delivered, and a refund has not been given. Since winning my auction, over forty subsequent YCH's have been posted, suggesting that this artist is taking on far more work than is reasonable. This is doubly so given that they have mentioned being under the weather in their final note to me, and despite this they are posting YCHs as recently as today (30th June, 2020). At this stage, I have written off the amount paid, I don't expect to see it returned. I would like to warn people of my experience with this artist to avoid potential upset. Evidence below: The original thread naming me (11Sharn11) as the winner of the YCH: Subsequent telegram conversation including confirmation of payment (NOTE: Conversation dated 3rd of June, 2020 at bottom, regarding the note I'd sent requesting a refund): First note requesting update, dated December 2019: Second note requesting update, dated April 2020: Third and final note requesting refund, dated June 2020: Further telegram conversation dated June 2020, including subsequent message requesting an update on the refund with no reply: Artist's scraps gallery showing subsequent YCH's posted (note the YCH I had bid on, second from bottom right): Artist's current gallery, including YCHs currently in progress:

I have never written a Beware before. I didn’t even want to make this one, but this is completely unacceptable and future buyers should be aware. This is a small time fursuit maker by the name of Majeste. Back on June 23rd 2020, I purchased a custom set of puffy paws with claws after having talked details of the design and other pertinent information. I was quoted $190 and paid the full $190. Remember that price was QUOTED TO ME, because it will be relevant later on. Majeste, at first, I had no issues with. The paws were going to take a little while and that was fine, that had already been established up front. The design of the paws was reviewed and I picked out my fur and minky fabrics that would be used to make these paws. I was under the impression that the fabrics that I chose WITH Majeste’s help would be the exact furs ordered and used on my paws. I don’t get any updates for a couple weeks, which again, is fine, I was aware of the time frame for paws turnaround. However, the issue comes in when Majeste sends me a WIP photo. I could see the backing of the pink minky looked strange, textured, but I don’t sew, I don’t work with materials, so I didn’t know. I wasn’t concerned at this point. I had no reason to believe the fabric was not the fabric I chose. The next photo I received was of one finished paw. This is where the major issue comes into play: the minky on the paws was NOT the minky I had chosen/agreed upon when the order for the paws was placed. I had been given no prior indication of this change. At first, I sort of glossed over it. It was devastated, but I didn’t want to become a nightmare customer or cause issues. I assumed Majeste would have a solution in mind. Majeste did not at all offer to fix the problem up front, she did not even address it until I did first. As if it was no issue. I still wanted my paws, but I was extremely unhappy. I paid for a service and product, and neither was delivered as promised/agreed upon. I paid $190 for paws the way they had been discussed, not with a change in minky. I will admit, I became more agitated and less willing to accept this work as the conversation went on. At this point, I did not want to prolong the wait time, and I did not want to be treated as an inconvenience. I suggested upgraded shipping as a fair means of coming to a resolution. Majeste would have to make no refund, no alterations - simply mail the paws with an upgraded shipping method. This is where she becomes extremely aggressive with me. She tries to have me pay MORE to even FIX the paws in the first place, otherwise they won’t be fixed. She tells ME that MY behavior is unacceptable and tells me I’m scamming her. Scamming her after I had already paid the $190 for my paws. Right. She continues, saying she already discounted my paws (I never asked for any discount, Majeste herself quoted me the price of $190 from the get go, as mentioned earlier) and if I want things to be “fair”, I’ll pay the difference of her “usual” paw price and she’ll fix them. Needless to say, I was extremely upset by this interaction. As a paying customer, I felt completely sidelined and overall unhappy with the finished result of my custom made product. Now, I’m going to have to have these fixed myself. In the end, Majeste did ship them and provide a tracking number to me. I do not have the paws in my hands as of writing this, but I would like to update based on the quality of the paws I do receive. There are LOTS of screenshots, as this is the entire conversation as it took place on Amino. Please. Proceed with extreme caution if you are considering working with Maj-Mania749. Attached are all the screenshots of every interaction I had with Majeste. I included everything, even the conversation bits, so there’s nothing lost and all context is there. Hopefully it’s all in order!

On the 8th of April this year I asked xBlueAshesx about a Lion King YCH. She then accepted, I gave her my PayPal info and paid. Unfortunately I don't have the acceptance PM anymore, but here's a screenshot of the PayPal payment as proof. On the 13th of July, it'd been almost 3 months and I hadn't received anything back from xBlueAshesx yet, not even a WIP picture. I suggested a refund if she hadn't started on the art piece yet. This PM was read, but never replied to. After 6 days with no acknowledgement, it was then that I decided to request a chargeback. xBlueAshesx finally replied and offered to finish the piece. I refused, feeling like it would be rushed. Her final PM said I would receive a refund and also how I should "read an artist's TOS in the future", which I actually did do before placing the commission. I would've been happy to wait 3 months, I've actually waited that long for commissions in the past, but like I said, I was expecting to see a WIP pic at this point at least. Sadly, nothing. I'm now blocked by her on Furaffinity and no longer able to contact her. She continues to take on new commissions.

TL;DR at the bottom. Hey everyone! This is Sugarbabie, formerly known as CherishArts. I was put in touch with her through a mutual friend. She said that Sugar had opened up emergency comms to pay for her baby, I liked her style, so I said sure. It seemed like a win win. I ordered two pieces, a ref sheet and a bust, totalling $70 + a $30 tip because I was in a giving mood. This was on January 27th, 2020. (Censored name is the mutual friend) What followed was 6 months of radio silence for the most part. No updates, no WIPs, mostly ignoring my requests for updates. There were a lot of excuses regarding health and real life complications. I was more than happy to oblige. I know life is tough right now, and I am patient. Suddenly in May it dawned on me I hadn't seen her discord updated in a long time. I went and checked and it had ceased to exist. Naturally this sent alarm bells ringing. I went and checked her FA, no updates there for a month, but someone mentioned a second page. Sure enough, Cherish was now SugarBabie. All her socials, Ko-Fi, and Patreon were all new as of March. Suspecting she rebranded to avoid fulfilling her queue, I added her on her new discord and told her how bad this looked. She profusely apologized. 2020 sucks, life is hard, apology accepted. She offered to rush the art overnight, or give me a refund. I stated I wasn't interested in the art anymore, and I would like a refund. However with the ghosting, I didn't trust her to follow through, so I told her I would start a chargeback with my bank. She agreed. I called Paypal, they told me to call my bank. My bank told me that since the transaction was over 90 days old, they couldn't initiate a chargeback, and I would have to go through the artist for a refund. I message Sugar back, explain the situation, and am hit with a flat out refusal. Apparently her offer of a refund was off the table when I said I would do it. When I explained what the bank had told me, she dug in, taking personal offense to me messaging after I "couldn't get it done on my own." I was shocked. Frustrated, I went to her FA and left a shout that explained the situation. Essentially a 1 star yelp review, it was rapidly removed and I was blocked. I messaged her back and asked for a refund on the service she failed to provide. She continued to claim she fulfilled her TOS though nothing was delivered, stating I voided the contract by initiating a refund. She somehow thinks she can keep the money though nothing was given aside from random free art that isn't of my character nor is it what I asked for. Apparently that qualifies as fulfilling the order, just throwing something random at the client. To top it all off, she threatened to sue if I "slandered her business" with bad reviews or "harassed" her by asking for the refund she said I was entitled to, and apparently I'm being reported to law enforcement, though I guarantee that's just a bluff. TL;DR: Artist attempts to avoid fulfilling order by rebranding, refuses to refund me after I went to handle it on my own, claims she fulfilled her TOS by throwing random art at me, threatens to sue if I keep leaving bad reviews.

Back in 2018 I had stumbled apon a (mainly) TF2 artist, I had initially asked her for a 2 character half body piece. She accepted and the transaction was sent (sent via Steam items equal to her prices at the time): About 3 days later I was given a WIP piece, making me believe that the commission was soon to be done with. After that I had sent an update ref, and a bit later she sends me saying that its done shes just on the shading now (I was not given an update photo of it 'done' asides some shading). I (on steam) had asked her to change it to my Pyro loadout in game (hence why I asked that, but steam convos delete themselves) and just to make an icon instead of a half body. She was fine with this and proceeded to tell me that it was done and on her PC but she couldn't access it due to it being finals week and her not being allowed on her PC during them. This was the last message I sent to her, and I have yet to hear any updates. The bit I don't have screenshots for was her telling me she'd refund me on Steam, and .. steam being the way it is. There's no way for me to retrieve those messages unfortunately. But this has been over 2 years, and she has completely ghosted me. As well as continued advertising commissions, whilst leaving mine unfinished and forgotten about. I don't have much photo proof due to.. this being like 75% of conversations that went on.

Around 2 months ago, an artist by the name of Ynesiarte was offering some headshot commissions. I took interest in their art style and the cheap pricing, so I commented on their post on FurAffinity to claim a slot (which I cannot show because they deleted their FurAffinity account). Then then reached out to me, and gave me their payment information. I sent payment via PayPal and it was confirmed that payment had gone through. I then waited a couple of days, and wondering where my commission was, (they said in the FurAffinity post that the commission would take 1-2 days) I contacted them and being as polite as I could, asked about my commission. ' They then replied that they had another social account somewhere in which they were also taking orders, and that they were sorry for the delay and that they didn’t warn me in advance. I should’ve taken the red flag that they were taking in many commissions at a time, but I instantly forgave them, took that as a sufficient amount of information, and because I saw other people’s commissions being completed and posted on their FurAffinity Gallery, (which I cannot show due to them deleting their account) I had hope that it would be finished. I waited for a month with no updates, and part of this is on me, but I was so busy with life at the time and I didn’t want to feel like I was bombarding a poor artist who was already doing many commissions at a time just to make money. So I waited, and after a month of being fed up with waiting and no update, I sent a message asking what was going on, and saying that if they were too busy to take my commission, I would happily take a refund. That message wasn’t even read, and so I just ignored the situation for a while, hoping and assuming it was an emergency of some kind. After checking in another month later, (a couple days ago) I realized that they had deleted their FurAffinity account entirely, maybe because of an emergency, or maybe to avoid the long and overwhelming list of commissions that they had build up over the course of a couple of months. Im posting this beware because they might try to rebrand themselves and sell more art, but because I don’t have pictures of their art, I can’t officially prove if someone I find might be them rebranded and such, which is frustrating. I tried looking them up on all social media platforms after their FurAffinity account was deleted under the same username Ynesiarte, but it came to no avail. I really don’t know what this beware will do to help anyone due to their account being deleted and such, but if they come back up onto any platform, I personally would not commission any art from them. They proved to be immensely lacking in proper communication with the client, ignored my attempts at reaching out to them, and in the end, didn’t deliver the final product they promised me and I didn’t receive anything close to a refund. Luckily, the commission was only around $15, so I didn’t have to learn this lesson too hard, but just be aware of you are commissioning. I really hate to do this to someone and post a beware about them, but they left me no other choice. Thank you for reading my beware. Proof: This was the first note after I commented on their post on FurAffinity under the account Ynesiarte. I then sent payment. Waited for around 3-4 days, and then finally reached out to them. They replied, as seen below. Then, after a month had past, I sent the message below to them. As you can see in the screenshot after that, this same message had not been read by them (the shaded people are other artists I have noted and commissioned during this time). Their account was still up at the time, so either there was an emergency, (which I was suspecting at the time was the case) they just didn’t get the message, (which seems unlikely as I messaged them that same way before and they got my messages just fine) or they were deliberately ignoring my message (my personal hypothesis but with no substantial evidence). This is harder to show as it doesn’t say the account name when it says that the following page is not available, but if you click the link to their previous FurAffinity account, it will say that the page is unavailable and was deleted by the owner. I’ll leave both the link and the screenshot below. Link: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/ynesiarte/

In April of 2015 a brand of designer underwear with a hole for allowing a tail as to be worn with a fursuit was advertised. This brand was called Fursace. It seemed pretty legit at the time and so I pre-ordered a pair. Things were looking good, as an email announcing the beginning of shipping came about a month later. I looked forward to receiving my undergarments soon after. At this time they requested an additional $10 for shipping, which I thought was strange but I was okay with it at the time. Unfortunately a couple of months passed, no underwear, and then finally I received an email about delays with a bunch of excuses. I was sympathetic though, and decided to give them a chance, believing they would come through in the end. A few more months went by, no underwear. In mid December, I received yet another email with even more excuses and apologies, and a plea for people to not file PayPal disputes because they were DEFINITELY going to send out their product if people have them a chance because their PayPal account had been rendered unusable. Again I gave them the benefit of the doubt, something I now regret doing. They promised to work on getting orders out and that they would be waiving the $10 shipping fee (which I had already paid), but I never even got a refund on that. About a month passed and there was no word, and so I sent a DM through twitter. It went completely ignored. Then I made some tweets about the issue a couple years later and finally got a response in DM. We had a discussion and Dalmy said that they were rebranding and would be issuing refunds for Fursace once they finished with releasing the new line of apparel, now called Maul Apparel. I wasn't happy with this, but they wouldn't budge, so I just had to wait. I waited 5 months and sent another DM, which was completely ignored, and all current attempts to contact them about this issue in any way has been ignored. I really just want my refund, and for everyone else who never got their products to be refunded. But if I could get mine, I would say I am satisfied.

I ordered a custom design from him 6 months ago, initially I was okay waiting as he said he had just left hospital and I did not want to rush him right after. A few months pass, I attempt to contact him again. No response. I try again and I still don't receive a response. Eventually, I resorted to posting on his FA page, which he just ignored and deleted from his wall. I feel bad posting something like this, but the artist also has posted that he is taking commissions up on his page, and he did accept payment.

Throwaway account + censoring because I'd like to protect my privacy. TL;DR at bottom. First commissioned around the end of January 2019. Was one of their standard commissions through their generic commission forms. Their TOS stated that they'd deliver inside of 90 days tops. They've since deleted their toyhou.se panel that has their standard commissions, so I don't have picture proof of the page. I do mention it in the emails, however. After that initial email trade, that was all I heard from them for around an entire half year. Here are another 3 emails I sent over the course of that, the first two of which got no response. I can understand the first one not needing a response, but they provided no updates whatsoever and did not reply after I tried to contact them about their 90-day guarantee. I will also mention this was their "business" email. In the meantime, they were posting all kinds of adoptables on their alternate accounts, more than multiple times per month. Here are some of the ones they posted from mid October to mid November, in the span of one month: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33962721/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33816433/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33688677/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33562958/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33486213/ These hardly scratch the surface, however. They frequently opened on other commission types and whatnot in the time I waited for my commission, including (but likely not limited to) Ko-fi headshot commissions, Ko-fi kobold doodle commissions, and an INSANE amount of adoptables. This also isn't including higher-quality commissions on their main account they posted within the first month of me commissioning them. For perspective, you can browse their gallery here (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/doodlies) and skim over the appalling amount of (mostly adoptables) content their is from the start of Feb. 2019 to the end of Nov. 2019. Keep in mind that the vast majority of these were NOT things they had queued up prior to me commissioning them. Most of these commissions they actively/voluntarily took up while I was waiting for mine. Their Twitter (https://twitter.com/MaimFace) was also frequently updated with their adoptables postings. Being normally patient with artists, I decided to stick it out until around December. After that point, I had waited almost an entire year (as well as watched a ton of their work come and go with my commission being largely ignored) and didn't trust that they would actually deliver in the quoted time frame, so I asked for a refund which they ironically delivered somewhat promptly. TL;DR: Extremely unresponsive emails despite being their "business" email, sometimes going months without replying. Despite a 90-day guarantee, they did not deliver in the span of an entire year, which ended up in a requested refund. Frequently posted numerous other types of commissions and seemed to largely disregard mine despite their own guarantees regarding timeliness.

Dec. 16th, 2011 at 3:08 AM alex_dachshund I kinda feel silly for posting this here, since it was only a $2 commission, but money is money I suppose and she took my money and never provided. WHO: Electrocat, Electropaw ArtworksWHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/electrocat/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/user/electropawartworks WHAT: $2 Chibi drawingWHEN: July 7th, 2011PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/ (Screencap here: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0aaq9bqa4 ) EXPLAIN: Basically Electrocat was offering cheap $2 chibis and of course I thought that was a swell offer and decided to commission her. I thought it would be done in no time since I've done trades with her in the past and she was speedy on those but I've never actually commissioned her so I decided to help her out a bit. I left her a comment on the journal saying I was interested in a chibi: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 I sent her the money immediately that day: http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg The next day she posts a WIP of the chibis. I thought, oh goody, they'll be done in no time! http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ Wrong. Months go by and still no finished chibis, and she still continues to take icons and ref sheet commissions and do personal art despite owing us the chibis. She also kept posting journals claiming the chibis are almost done, or that she's going to finish them soon but still nothing. I leave a harmless shout on her page a few months ago (it's been covered up by various shouts on her page by now) asking about the status of my chibi and she claims she was going to work on it in a week, and a week comes and goes. (I don't have a screencap of her shout since I periodically like to clear my shoutbox). I also note her asking about the chibis in October but it's marked as unread and was probably ignored. My note to her: http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg (Reason why I said "I know you hate this" is because I believe I read somewhere that someone she owed an outstanding commission to, noted her, and she completely flipped out over it. That was probably a bit out of line and I do apologize.) I am a fan of Electrocat's art, it's cute and funny at times, but I am really frustrated that my $2 chibi doodle from several months ago is taking way longer than it should and I still haven't seen any updates on it since that last WIP image. :< I would like either my chibi done or a refund at this point. I probably won't commission her again after this since she's left us in the dark about our art. I am posting this here in hopes she sees it and finishes the chibis she owes me and several others.]] Time Line of Events: July 7th -- Commissioned her for the chibi. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg July 8th -- She posts a WIP of the chibis. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ August ??? -- I leave a shout on her page asking for an update and she claims they will be done in a week. (No screencaps, sorry!) October 13th -- Noted her asking for an update. Note was ignored. http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg Dec. 20th -- Posted a shout on her userpage. It has been ignored. And she continues to upload personal art (6 new submissions the day I posted my shout). http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286048655400.png Dec. 22nd -- Sent her a note politely asking for an update or a refund. It has been read and I have received my refund. http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286055990400.png My note http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286057781000.jpg Refund received I have received my refund. I guess all the beware stands for now is that she takes a VERY LONG TIME to do commissions and you'll receive little to no WIPs about it.

You know what they say - fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, Shame on me. Well, shame on me. Readers of Artists beware may know that I had a spat with Knuxlight back in 2013-2014, in which he took a commission he had no intention of completing and then proceeded to go silent on me after missing his hard date. I had posted on Artists beware, and after informing him of the post and said "What do you intend to do about this?", refunded me. Now allow me to explain why I gave him the time of day again. Well, after being tricked into thinking he reformed over the course of 2016-2017, he has reverted to his old ways. That one is on me - because he had been seen completing commissions in a timely manner, I had thought maybe we got through to him. In fact, several of my friends [who shall remain nameless aside from letters.] had commissioned him and got completed commissions. During this, I commissioned him twice and he followed through. So, now that I have explained why I was willing to give this person another chance, let's get into what happened, and why you should never commission this person - regardless of how well he has finished your icon over the last year. This behaviour is just unacceptable. So. May 2018. He offers discounts on his commissions because of Biggest Little FurCon (BLFC). Well. That should be alright enough, right? So I send my info and pay. However, disaster strikes - Knuxlight loses all of his saved work, which he stored on a thumb drive. (Yes. You read this correctly.) Looks like he might be learning, right? I mean crap happens. Well, around July, I request an ETA. His response comes off as rude, but well, I am a very forgiving person. From what I gathered, he was kind of just posting on his timeline in hopes all of us would see it. Around October, I ask for advice. Some people gave me response saying that I should give him a warning that I would be filing a dispute with Paypal - just to give him a little bit of a chance. Fair enough. I decide to give him a warning - Art by November 3rd, 2018, or I file a dispute with Paypal. Silence. In the meanwhile, he is taking icons that are made by editing templates - which seem to have a quick turnaround. He even manages to do several pieces piece of personal artwork in this time. Personal artwork. He has the time to draw a ref sheet for his boyfriend and draw a piece of personal artwork for himself and his boyfriend. Yet he could not seem to take the time to check his DMs or even provide a WIP. Another player, 4D, contacts knuxlight. Then out of nowhere, suddenly Knuxlight says he may have something for me. Well. I don't file the chargeback... which is my bad, and to date I still regret it. The week passes, so now I cannot file the dispute, and Knuxlight literally has gone silent on me. The only time I catch him is when he is streaming "PWYW" commissions. I don't put him on the spot, I simply DM him and ask if he has a WIP or has made any progress. He simply tells me "This really is not a good time, dude." Before I had spoken to him on the stream, I had even sent him a message on FA like he requested me to do... and it goes unread. Thank you antiquated FurAffinity web design that lets you know when someone is ghosting you. Finally, 4D loses it. In the meanwhile, Knuxlight starts taking Christmas icons - and he's gotten more creative with them. Out of nowhere, I find $90 sent to my paypal account from him. No word from him. It just... comes out of nowhere. So I'm legitimately shocked, but also surprised. However, I'm told from somebody else (the person he listened to) that he claimed he didn't know my Twitter handle. Wow. Seriously. Don't conduct business through twitter - because according to him, DMs are anonymous. That's some VERY poor design there. Oh wait. DMs are NOT anonymous. He was hiding from me and we caught him. I got my money back, but suffice to say, there will not be a third time. I gave a warning about him years ago, and have warned others who are asking for updates on their commissions. I gave him another chance, and he still thought it would be a good idea to take the money and run. In the meanwhile, I have spotted several people who are on his FA page asking for an update on their icons, and informed them "Buddy, you're not getting your art - he has no interest in it. File a chargeback if you can."

First of all, im sorry for my bad english. I commissioned Rachelfluffy on the 17.07.2015 for some artwork on their Furaffinity, I sent them 20$ for 3 Sketches. I received the first artwork on and waited like a half a year. I still haven't received my artwork or money for unfinished artwork except for the one that they finished, they blocked me from their accounts so I cannot message them anymore. I was very patient and sometimes worried, becouse her journal was sometimes a very depressiv mess. She cleared a lot of journals, coments or any other hints, for her unstable condition. She uploudet the same photo 5 times a week. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/24225506/ . i find out last week, thats spaming and also unallowed on furaffinity. I heard from 2 other persons, that she has stolen from. But i didnt find theyre note again..sorry...no screenshot or evidence, i lost the notes as i cleared my notes. I tryed to talk to her "close friends". One of them didnt know, why she was on her page as a close friend. The other one, sendet me after a long time a message, that i "harasment" her. I tryed years later, to contact her on facebook. But there was the same thing like on furaffinity and skype. just blocked. She didnt wanted to talk. I noted her about the sketch, that the one is for a friends birthday. She wanted to deliver it. but she didnt.. I know, too, thats my english was in the past a really painfully thing to understand. And i had some difficultys to clear me out. But the fact is, I guess, this was my first year in the furry fandome. And i really wanted to help little artists with my comission. But i lost all my trust after this experience. Its about 10$, i know. But this hurted so much, to be cheated. That action really broked my little tiny hearth in the past. I seen month ago, she did it on "trusted artist". She dont deserve it. So, thats why i leak this screenshots. Mod Note: The edited messages are the OP saying the artist's irl name.

I got in contact with the artist in question in mid-October. I had commissioned them once before, years ago, and was very happy with the finished product. A commission was agreed upon. An initial sketch was received via email on 27 December, 2019, and payment was sent via Western Union, along with an agreement for some additional material. After payment was made, the last contact I received from the artist was on the 28th of December. All further attempts to respond have gone unanswered.

oCe opened a big Beach Bonfire YCH in 2015 (See here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17220132/ and here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17219741/ and the actual auction for my spots here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17364640/) and I grabbed several spots in it for a friend and myself. The auctions for the spots in the big YCH stretched down to December, because she was auctioning them by groups. Payment was done on Sept 22nd, 2015. The first updates were journals on February 2016, though she did posted other journals taking commissions in the meantime, and would keep doing it until she more or less vanished from the face of the internet altogether around late 2017: One in the 15th: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7381550/ And one on the 29th: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7411940/ I sent a couple emails that went unanswered in July and September 2016: Then she sent an email to everyone in the YCH with the first WIP in October 2016: The WIP looked good, so I didn't try to contact her until January 2017, and again in March since my previous email had gone unanswered: Then she posted a journal on July hinting that we would receive some WIPs (https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8307192/): And one in October 2017 explaining that stuff happened but we would finally get a WIP soon (https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8456845/): I never received the WIP this I sent her an email in November 2017 asking about it, but never got any answer: Then in March 2018 and April 2018 I sent mails again, trying to get some news, with no answer at all again: At this time, I turned to the A_B Community and sent a Lost Contact notice (https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/998856.html) which caused a reaction and I received a mail from her not too long after. Though that reaction would prove to be short-lived as shown by the email conversation below which is mostly me talking with little answers and long delays again between each answer: Having ran out of patience, I've decided to make this beware. Obviously, it's way too late to dispute anything on Paypal, so I'm 300$ out of luck, and I have been given little in return for it. If this manages to reach oCe, while I'd love to see the finished product, as I still do love her art style, I've lost all confidence that it will ever get done and any trust I could have in her due to the utter lack of communication, despite her telling commissioners to contact her via email and that she would reply promptly. Thus why I'd like to get a full refund of the 300$, and get done with this

Caution: FurFancy Costume/ Victoria10717 / Nessi_Noodles
SewingStuffs posted a record in Artist Cautions
Back in late September 2019 I saw Fur Fancy advertise on their twitter they were taking commissions for 3D sculpted and printed custom bases ( you use these to cast foam fursuit heads from). They advertised each slot at $300 USD + shipping, which for the sculpt and actual printing I thought was a great price, so I proceeded to message them about ordering two custom bases. As you can see they were very prompt about answering my questions and sending me a PayPal invoice It took me a few days to get the example sketches commissioned from another artist, but by Oct 5th I had sent them the rough ideas for how I wanted the bases to look. After that I did proceed to ask them about upgrades to the bases such as eyeblacks but decided against them at the time. Come Nov 20th 2019 I saw them post again about taking on another custom sculpted/printed base. I had a bit of extra funds and thought I'd add to my existing order. At this time I had not received any updates about my previous bases, but wasn't worried as not much time had passed. Paid the same day I inquired and sent along the 3rd example sketch I commissioned for them to work off of On December 17th 2019 I was sent a picture of this first feline base rendered in the 3D sculpting program. Come January 10th 2020 I had received no updates so I thought I would start inquiring about the status of the commission. I was still waiting to hear when the first sculpt I was shown would print as well as see the other two 3D rendered as well as an ETA on the printing time. I heard nothing and messaged again on January 16th and 21st. I did not receive a reply until January 22 2020 , which at that point the lack of communication was starting to bother me. At this time I did follow their twitter and saw them make very frequent posts ( every couple days or so) This was the first to my knowledge about the 3D printers needing repairs. I honestly know nothing about 3D printers so did not think it was a huge deal. I just wanted to make sure the PayPal window would not close before I received everything ( 6 months is the timeframe for PayPal). I received an update come February 11th 2020 that one of the printers was back to working order. I assumed this meant that my first 3D sculpt would be printed soon. I still had yet to see the other two as digital sculpts. That was the only update I received in february, the rest of my messages on the 19th of February and 2nd of March were ignored. At this point due to the lack of communication I did bring up opening a PayPal dispute as it had nearly been 6 months since my original PayPal transaction in September 2019. That claim window would close on March 26th. Come March 7th 2020 I did receive screenshots of the other bases being sculpted in the 3D program That was all I had heard though. I inquired for an ETA on the printing come March 16th and reminded them that my first PayPal window closes soon on March 20th. To the last message I did not receive a response until March 23rd, only days before my first PayPal dispute window would close. At this point I did proceed to Paypal and opened the dispute, I did not notify FurFancy of it which is why I think they started messaging me more. Though they only would communicate with me on twitter, they would never message through PayPal . At this point I have only received the 3D sculpted screenshots, no ETA of when they should print or even ship out. I was more than willing to take a partial refund of the 3D sculpted files, but I would not close the PayPal dispute until they had been provided to me as I did not trust FurFancy to take my money and give me nothing in the end. With the dispute FurFancy did bring her family issues into play, I assume to try and guilt me into closing the PayPal dispute. Personally this left a bad taste in my mouth. FurFancy then proceeds to name drop another fursuit builder whom they are also sculpting bases for that is apparently ahead of my in her queue. At this point in time I had never had any ETAS given, seen a queue or even a TOS. The only form of contact I have for FurFancy is their twitter, though apparently they dont use it that often ( yet I see them post periodically selling misc parts and showing off suit wips) At this point I honestly feel like I am just running around in circles with FurFancy. I ended up finding their TOS on my own, which as a client, even if not for normal suit work, I feel should have been sent to me. If twitter isn't an ideal way to communicate give me an email or telegram I can contact instead. For the last few messages I did have a friend help type up the response to outline why I am keeping the dispute on PayPal open and reinterate that I am willing to pay for the 3D rendered files. So that is my last interaction with FurFancy on twitter. I submitted all this information to PayPal and they ended up siding in my favour as FurFancy never responded to the dispute by the looks of it. In the end I did receive a full refund thanks to PayPal, but the entire transaction was a learning experience. I assumed that because of FurFancy's status as a larger builder commissioning would be professional and easy. I didn't loose anything but my time luckily TL:DR Commissioned FurFancy for 3 3D sculpted and 3D printed head bases, ended up not receiving them and opened a PayPal dispute to receive a full refund.- 3 comments

Feb 22 2016 Nycket uploaded the babyshower YCH, they said they lowered the price to $60 because no one was interested in buying it before at a higher price. Feb 23 2016 I commented letting them know I was interested but I was going to wait in case anyone else wanted the the spot. Feb 24 2016 I bought slot #2 for $60 in the babyshower YCH, paid that same day. Jan 07 2017 I had not been given any updates on the YCH since I had bought it, except for seeing it being worked on once in stream. This Trello card was the last documented update on the babyshower YCH. My character is lined and colored (the one sitting on the floor.) ~ May 2017 Nycket posted a submission opening traditional bust commissions (If I remember correctly, they couldn't work on digital images because they couldn't find their computer cord after a move.) I responded with interest. They were a bit slow to respond but later we agreed on a digital bust since they finally got their new computer cord. (No screenshots of the comments on the submission as it was deleted later.) May 08-09 2017 I sent a note with my references for the 2nd commission, then sent payment of $20. Jun 05 2017 I noticed that the submission where we discussed my 2nd commission was gone, and checking their Trello(linked on their FA profile at the time), I realized it was also not listed there. So I sent a note asking about it. They responded quickly saying they haven't forgotten. They removed the Trello link off their FA profile right after(without telling me they did or why), which raised my suspicion. Jun 20 2017 Nycket made a journal titled "READ IF YOU HAVE A COMMISSION, TRADE, OR COLLAB FROM ME" saying that they've fallen behind on keeping track of things. They said they were going to update their list and to let them know if they owed us anything. I commented with what they owed me. Again this behavior was making me feel a bit uneasy about working with them. Jul 26-27 2017 [The follow item has been removed by moderation staff. It is inappropriate for Artists Beware given it's personal sensitive information taken from a locked account.] Jul 29 2017 They were back on FA and I noted them telling them I filed a dispute and that some of their recent actions and lack of communication had really made me regret buying a second commission from them, considering how long I was still waiting for the YCH. They responded saying that anxiety was why they don't communicate, why they deleted the submission where I ordered the 2nd commission and why they removed the link to their Trello and apologized for everything. I tried to be as encouraging as possible and offered my full support as long as they were willing to work to get things done and to communicate more. [Cap removed by moderation staff because it is more personal general chat.] Aug 01 2017 I had let them know what my telegram was so if they wanted to talk, they could. They contacted me on Aug. 1st. and said they appreciated me reaching out, and said they'd talk to me later. This was the only time they initiated conversation with me. (I don't believe Nycket ever went on telegram again, so at the time of screenshotting this, their account just says 'Deleted Account' as Telegram auto deletes inactive accounts after a time.) Aug 16 2017 They never did talk to me again. I sent a note saying I was escalating my dispute to a claim (at this point I was tired of waiting still with no updates on either commission and having to contact them for updates instead of the other way around, and I was running out of time on my dispute and I did not have enough confidence in Nycket to complete anything in the time remaining) They responded saying they couldn't issue a refund because of their paypal being in the negatives and her job not giving her enough hours. This was the last time I personally heard from Nycket. I eventually did get a chargeback for the 2nd commission on August 25, 2017 (see previous paypal screenshot). Absolutely no word from Nycket on that though. 2018 They were posting journals up until late March in 2018. No updates on any commissions in that time. Absolutely no update about anything anywhere after March. Jan 16 2019 I sent an email to try to regain contact, but they never responded. Jan 23 2019 Left some shouts on Nyckets profile officially asking for a refund for the babyshower YCH since I never had asked about the possibility of one before they disappeared. Since they already did the work on my character but did not complete the image, I asked for $30 back instead of the full $60. Still no response from Nycket. TL;DR: I bought a YCH slot in early 2016 and then a bust commissions in May 2017. Never got an update on either of them, and neither was ever completed. Got a chargeback for the bust commission but still no update on the YCH spot. Nycket then disappeared and nobody has heard from them since. All in all, Nycket just never communicated and I was always being left in the dark with no updates or WIPs or anything. Lack of communication was the biggest problem for me, looking back on this there were more excuses than actual updates, if there were any at all. They never let me know about the progress on things, I just happened upon them in stream or if I went looking.

Hi all! Oh boy I've been wondering if I should even make a post or not. My experience with this artist is a little different but the outcome is the same; didn't receive anything back. This was my FIRST time commissioning Luna as someone showed me her work and I thought "wow that's cute!!". Maybe I should preface by saying I've commissioned a handful of people before and usually I don't ask for updates, as you'll see in the screenshots below with why I'm mentioning this part. I've always been fairly patient but then again.. I've gotten the artwork back in a timely matter in my opinion. This is 2 years in the works. This was also before I saw her massive queue. Again, I've been that artist, too, with the line up.. Alright, moving on.. She's promoted her commissions on FA as open as well as posting completed pieces. Seeing as she had many options to choose from I was stuck debating what exactly.. Found out she did pixels ($30 at this time) that's where I got interested. Cute, figured my character would look nice in her pixel style! Soooo left a comment, got a reply, shot a note, got a response and paid that invoice! Cool, awesome, sit back and just wait. Again, I didn't know about her Trello page and I thought she was actively posting new content during this time. Which, she was sure, but it was varied pieces.. Discovering her Trello I was for sure on the queue!.. Little shocked over the size, too, can't lie. Then a year passes, I noticed I was moved to her refund list. HUH.. but for whatever reason it took me some time to confront her about it. I was (now I consider it) foolishly waiting for her to contact me about the refund. Then I see she's promoting pixels again and that's when I decided to DM her. My first message didn't reach her immediately... Dang, nevermind. I wish I kept the screenshot I took of her Trello where I found out I was put on the Refund List, along with many others. As of now I am not on that list. I wasn't happy being put on a refund list under assumption I didn't want anything anymore. Felt that was a little unprofessional, especially since I wasn't informed. (Maybe I too am at blame for not contacting for an update?) Regardless. . . I think no matter the time frame of something you should notify your clients about it. As a fellow artist I am understanding when it comes to mental health as I'm that person, too.. But the radio silence was definitely bugging me at this point. This was January 2020, now.. No response. Patient, but a busy person time slipped me as well.. Eagerly waiting any response. Again, no response. I sent this email a month after I saw her post on Twitter about personal problems. I just find it odd timing that around this time (March email) she vanished off all her social medias. Only to resurface with a screenshot from not even HERSELF but another Twitter user saying how she's taken time away from all socials, again, due to personal issues. I'm just big bummed! Oh well. More waiting.

I had initially commissioned the artist with high hopes, due to previous commissions being finished within a rate of a couple weeks to a couple of months. When I had commissioned, there were no official terms of service, but as far I was concerned, I would able to refund with no issues if I ran into problems. However, since the terms have updated, the artist claims I am ineligible for a refund despite me waiting a year for my art with no signs of progress. This is how the chat/commission started out. The artist shows examples to me. The character shown in the screenshot is her own. In addition, she has shown me more examples. So far, so good. Seems very charismatic to begin with! I was very excited about my commission. More about this charisma later. Still maintains charisma, even states she feels bad about the delay. I am a very forgiving person, so I had decided to continue waiting a bit longer. I was not in too big of a hurry for the commission to be completed. Here I notice there wasn't as much of a friendly vibe as I had gotten with the artist before which made me a little concerned, like as if the artist was stressed. In addition, hasn't been as responsive to me. I figured it was appropriate to file a dispute at this point because friends have been suggesting it to me. I tried to be understanding, and I waited 24 hours for a response on whether or not the artist was going to follow through with my commission. Read but no response, so I just decided to listen to my friends and file the claim. Unfortunately, PayPal has a strict 180 day rule so I was ineligible for a refund, yet the artist was still notified and blew up on me. I tried to explain as professionally as I could for my actions and why I think my dispute was reasonable. Shown is the queue posted before the Terms of Service, in which I am listed. Also shown is the Terms of Service that were created after I had purchased my commission. In the second screenshot, you can see the update states "It will apply to all future commissions." This makes my commission exempt, in theory. And shown in the third screenshot above are the terms the artist created in terms of refunds. Although it is stated that refunds are not given after payments are made, that if a commission has not been started a refund could be discussed. My commission was never started and yet, my request for one was rejected right away. I showed the artist the terms they had created and the artist had decided I will not receive my commission, I will be black listed, and I will not receive a refund. I am not the only one who has been waiting on a commission from this artist, but I have decided that these business practices were sketchy.
