1. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/922543.html WHO: Xarkbeast(FA), Arkadult(YCH), and Redixxbeastdesigns (DA). WHERE: Formally FA and DA. YCH.commishes.com http://ych.commishes.com/user/arkadult/ http://redixxbeastdesigns.deviantart.com/journal/All-commission-1-100-point-commission-sale-613194468 WHAT: $30 Digital two character feral mating art. WHEN: Jan. 17, 2016 PROOF: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8clf86xw1glqnzw/Screenshot (47).png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxi9o4y73gqm2og/Screenshot (52).png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/92njq0y44miuhyj/Screenshot (48).png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/35w91h9v69b94ay/Screenshot (42).png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/r4h0tqqkytdwmzu/Screenshot (43).png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pfkr4s3rvklyw9/Screenshot (49).png?dl=0 EXPLAIN: Not sure if this well be allowed, but I think people deserve to be warn about this artist. So wanted to do a beware on this artist before, but before I could he deactivated all account he had so I though it was pointless until I ran into him again yesterday under a new name. Anyway it started when said artist uploaded multiple ych's one which I bought for $30. Things seems normal at first. Noted him on FA a month later about my commission. Turns out he never started because he didn't know their genders. Was a bit annoyed for two reasons. One being that he waited a month to ask and may have waited longer had I not messaged him and the second because their genders looked to be clear in the references and I told him the first time he asked. Never the less told him and wait yet another month and asked about a trello or something like that. Never got an answer to my commission question. Later tried messaging him again to find his FA deactivated. Immediately went to pay palpay to file a claim. Few days later get an email asking if I want a refund or the art. I chose the refund and was asked it I could wait until Tuesday. Later gives me some bullshit about Paypal locking him out of the transaction and that he will send the money from a new account after I drop the claim. If anyone knows paypal like me you know that once a claim is closes it can't be reopened and it he did send the money he could then do a charge back claiming it wasn't him. That was a HUGE red flag and I stop talking to him all together and let paypal take it from there. In the end got my money back. Fast forward a bit to yesterday when I'm on ych.commishes.com a site for sell ych's. I bid on a auction but a few minutes before it ended I found it below to said artist. The was no way to back out or contact him so I waited for an email. In it he thank me for bidding an ask that I send the payment through family and friends. Again if you know paypal you know that's a terrible way to pay for art. I ended up telling him I wanted to back out before it had ended because I knew who he was and had a terrible experience with him in the past. As of now it looks like that account has be abandon as well. Edit: Seems his FA account has been reactivated sometime after I made this beware. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/xarkbeast [Editor's Note: Update from 8/3/2017] https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/965855.html Update to this beware: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/922543.html Where: https://www.weasyl.com/~sinistertrexx http://sinistertrexx.deviantart.com/ https://www.instagram.com/sinister_jorexx/ So I recently came aware that Xarkbeast as resurfaced under a few new names and accounts. A friend who asked not to be name came across her character on Weasyl. He just happened to link it in a group discord where I say it and instantly recognized that her character and art style. But just to be sure I looked around a bit and saw that the boyfriend of he last account redixxbeastdesigns had reactivated his DA and linked her her new one. 2. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/993878.html WHERE: DeviantArt: (NSFW GALLERY) https://babushkavatman.deviantart.com/ Tumblr: (NSFW GALLERY) https://babushkavatman.tumblr.com/ WHAT: Digital art piece — custom adopt commission. WHEN: July 2017 — present (May 2018) EXPLAIN: I ordered a 270 USD custom with a back view and extras from this artist back in July 2017. It has not been delivered. The artist has been silent for months and inactive on all known social media. I am Tythius on DeviantArt. (I have a Gyazo Pro account so all screenshots saved there are permanent.) TIMELINE: 13 July 2017: Purchased custom adopt commission through an auction for 270 USD. (Proof 1.) 13 July 2017: Artist confirmed order and sent invoice. Invoice paid the same day. Artist acknowledges payment. (Proof 2. Proof 3. Proof 4.) July 2017 - September 2017: I receive no updates despite exchanging more correspondence about the design specifics. Up to 25 July 2017, we made small talk and discussed design details. After that point, nothing until September. (Proof 5.) This screenshot is filtered for notes sent from BabushkaVatman and thus does not show unread or read status. During this period of silence between July and September, the artist continues outputting adopts and YCH sales. 19 September 2017: I update the artist's reference links to a neater folder. (Proof 6.) The artist replies, but there is still no visual WIP update. September 2017 - November 2017: No further updates. Artist continues uploading adopts and YCH sales. 26 November 2017: There is still no update. I request an update or, alternatively, a refund. The artist finally shows a visual WIP, but cannot provide a refund at the moment. (Proof 7. Proof 8. Proof 9.) 27 November 2017 - 1 December 2017: The artist seems genuinely apologetic during our conversation. I relent and agree to wait for the finished product. This is a mistake. (Proof 10. Proof 11. Proof 12.) 12 January 2018: There has been no contact since December. I ask again for an update. (Proof 13.) 22 January 2018: The artist posts another completed adopt. 22 January 2018: The artist replies with an update message. No visual updates. This is the last time this artist has contacted me since. (Proof 14.) 24 January 2018: The artist posts another completed adopt. 4 February 2018: The artist posts another completed adopt. This is the latest activity on the DA page. But not the Tumblr page. Will detail below. 25 February 2018: I ask for another update. (Proof 15.) No response. Unread. (Proof 16. [Bottom note.]) March 2018: While the artist remains inactive and unresponsive on DA, the Tumblr page notes a recently liked post from another user. (Proof 17. [NSFW has been blurred out. Safe to click.]) This recently liked post was made on 3 March 2018. The artist has been able to access the internet sometime after 3 March 2018. (A more thorough search through recent likes on the Tumblr page show liked posts from as recent as 2 April 2018. I did not notice this until recently, but will add it chronologically for easier following. 12 March 2018: I ask for another update. No response. Unread. (Proof 18. Proof 19. [Middle note.]) 29 March 2018: I leave a comment on the original deviation of the custom sale. No response. (Proof 20.) 31 March 2018: I message the artist on DA again. (Proof 21. Proof 22. [Top note.]) Unread. 3 May 2018: I leave the artist a courtesy message on the artist's DA profile stating my intentions to write a PSA on Artists Beware. (Proof 23.) There is still no response. I also have not seen any of the YCH sales completed and posted, but cannot verify that they were never done. Given the circumstances, I am aware that if the artist's main income is through art, then regular output of sales and adopts is to be expected while the artist works on a commission. This was never the problem. The problem was the lack of communication and continued lack of communication. As it stands, I have no finished product and the artist either refuses to get in touch or has neglected to for whatever reason. The real lesson here is to never let an artist drag you past PayPal's 6-month buyer protection period, regardless of their reasoning, unless they have solid communication and steady visual updates. Don't make my mistake. 12 May 2018: I managed to open a dispute with PayPal through their phone line. 17 May 2018: PayPal opens the case and awaits a response from the artist. The artist has 10 days to respond. (Proof 24.) 28 May 2018: The artist never responded to PayPal's resolution center e-mail despite recent activity on DeviantArt and the case is closed in my favor. 3. Looking at the previeus felines they done they have clearly a pattern for long tails that would be perfect for cougars and far more cat like heads. I am starting to feel this whole suit is rushed.
4. On January 5th, I had entered into an agreement for a custom texture/skin commission usable in Second Life for the amount of 19k L$ (Approx $75). This was to include a full body texture for both the male and female version of my silver fox character, of which references were provided. Additionally, this project was to include textures for two heads (Canis and Doggo), ears, legs, and implied related typical components. The estimated wait time that was given was 2 weeks. The artist replied via discord on Jan 8th to mention various family-related problems and other issues that was pose a delay, but then contacted me on Jan 10th to tell me the project was "almost done." No WIPs were provided prior to this statement, and I'd seen no work whatsoever. WIPs were explicitly mentioned when we first discussed the project. I was eventually provided some images while out on mobile where I tried to direct concerns about missing or erroneous markings and details. At no point through the process of edits did I approve a final version, as she had also indicated that the "blending" and fur "texture" would be added layer. Regardless, she delivered a "final product" while I was not available to comment or reply, and when asked about it, verified that she felt the project was complete. Inspection of the delivered items showed no inclusion of the male version of the skin. Further, no applier was included for the Canis or Doggo heads. This is especially problematic as the Canis requires one unless a user can somehow manually apply the texture to every single possible animated state of the head one state at a time; simply dragging and dropping the texture on the head only applies it to the specific state it is. This makes the texture for the head largely unusable on its own. The colors of the delivered skin did not match expectations or references, nor did the markings and patterns, especially on the head (at least visible in the single, static 'frame' shown when the head is dropped on the ground). No textures for ears were included, nor were any for 3rd party legs or tail (nor did she even ask which of any of these I wanted to use). Genitals were crudely painted on the female body skin, which are entirely not necessary (and conflict) with the 3rd party body that I had stated I use; this was not a detail that was requested, nor were they shown on the few WIP images I did receive. When confronted and asked whether this was supposed to be the final version, they replied with "yup" and a laughing face, then took insult when I attempted to express my dissatisfaction with the result or pointed out missing components, including making a statement of "I don't cater to customers who insult my work." They claimed several times through the resulting conversation that I "approved" her work, but after repeatedly disagreeing with her on that, she went the route of implying that my lack of immediate response or not telling her to stop was considered by her as approval. The notion that a customer can be busy at work, driving their car, or otherwise being physically unavailable to comment and have that used as a substitute for explicit approval should be cause for alarm for any potential customer. A refund was requested, even partial, to which the artist immediately stated "in my tos it states once a product is done I don't offer refunds." This notion is in dispute as I did not accept or approve of a finished state of the project, nor did we ever agree to any "terms of service" anywhere in our conversation. The user has blocked my communications with them on SL, Discord, and Twitter, refusing any possibility for further contact. I have deleted the items from my inventory, as well as any items they were applied to as part of my own agreement regarding this issue. A fraud report has been filed with Linden Labs. Screenshots:
5. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/977755.html WHO: SaltedDriftwood / LostSaltSpiral / LostVioletLotus / BraidedBurgundy WHERE: http://twitter.com/salteddriftwood http://salteddriftwood.deviantart.com/ (Account I did business with.) https://lostvioletlotus.deviantart.com/ http://twitter.com/braidedburgundy (Account refund was requested from.) WHAT: Two pre-made adoptables. Requested refund as "item was not as described." WHEN: First pre-made design purchased January 2017. Second purchased August 2017. Refunds on both requested November 2017. EXPLAIN: January 13th of 2017, SaltedDriftwood purchased a pre-made adoptable. They paid, I sent them the file. August 22nd of 2017, they purchased another. They paid, I sent them the file. This involves personal issues which do not relate to the transactions, but lead up to the paypal claims. SaltedDriftwood and one of my friends followed each other on twitter. My friend grew uncomfortable with them because of their own personal issues, and silently softblocked and unfollowed them. When SaltedDriftwood noticed, they messaged me, asking me why. I was not comfortable being put in that position, and declined telling them. They then liked a reply I had made to my friend, which upset him, on top of knowing SaltedDriftwood had tried to contact him through me, an unrelated party. I told them this upset both of us, and the reasons my friend wanted space between them. An argument broke out, SD removed me from discord, and I assumed that was the end of that. Today, I received notices from Paypal that SD wants refunds on the pre-made designs from August and January, citing that the "Items are not as described." I had missed a DM from them on Saturday, Nov 25th (I received the refund request Monday, Nov 27th)-- I do not conduct business on twitter, so I don't have a tab dedicated to my DMs on Tweetdeck, and didn't see the message. It was also filled with responses to the personal issues from the conversation on Discord. They are asking for a refund on items they received in January and August because of the personal disagreements, despite the fact the items were pre-made and they knew full well what they looked like before they bought them. At the time of writing I have responded to the claim offering a full refund provided they do not keep the design. I am waiting to hear back on that. They requested a partial refund on the design they bought from me in January. I told them I would give them a full refund on the condition they do not keep the adoptable, or no refund and let them keep the adoptable. I am waiting to hear back on this as well. I am aware I could refuse the refunds, but I do not feel it's worth it to prove the receipt of digital goods to Paypal, and would rather this be done with. As a note, I do allow for my designs to be traded and resold, and I do not need to be notified of any transfer. PROOF: https://sta.sh/2stt9cjsjhk?edit=1 Initially I thought I was unable to offer a refund on the condition of the item being returned, which was why I had asked them to de-escalate the claim-- I thought I was only able to offer a refund and let them keep the item, which I did not want them to do. I realised I was misreading the error Paypal was giving me, and responded with the Refund+Return offer. EDIT 11/29/17: They have dropped the claim on the design from January and approved my refund offer. However, I have no way of marking that they are returning the item from August, and I am now blocked from any contact with them, so I have no idea how to move the claim forward from here. I assume the ball is in their court to prove the item is returned? Which I'm not sure how to do, given that it's a digital item. Proof of attempt to clear up refund / of being blocked Proof of claim status I'm completely unclear on whether or not they still want the refund or how to proceed at all. EDIT 11/29/17 #2: A friend of theirs got into contact with me. SaltedDriftwood is now refunded in full.
6. What: 370$ worth of commissions. (A six Telegram sticker pack, and a two-character, three paneled comic. Harassment and threats of taking back a custom character I had already paid for and had several pieces pending because I "broke species rules." Now (2022), she has repossessed the character after it has already been sold to someone else. Initial Backstory: I joined Adiago's Discord server sometime late December 2018 after my (now) ex and I had secured a spot on her waiting list for a "coupled" pair of Abyss drakes (her closed species), a white female and a black/grey male to be our fursonas. (Named Eclipse and Orion) 01/14/2019 - 01/24/2019 Adiago gave me her Google Doc's form to fill out and I gave the other one to my ex to fill out for his. She approved our forms and I paid for two "mack daddy" tiered references (200$ each), then a few days later I asked if I could pay extra to get the next tier of references (called "Ultra) for both references as I wanted everything to be perfect and to her standard. I also wanted couples icons which was something we had discussed in her server that was tacked on to the additional amount. Due to conflicting differences between myself, my ex and Adiago a 1-2 month turn around became six months and Eclipse was officially finished in June. Proof of transactions: Google document explaining species guidelines: Eclipse's original upload: 08/01/2019 Adiago had told me needed funds really badly to fly out her boyfriend at the time, so I asked how much the ticket was and off so offered to buy a commission from her so she could buy him a ticket. I asked her for a comic like the one she did for one of ours friends and she agreed. The sketch she gave me from the above screenshot: Over voice she told me she still didn't have enough so I commissioned her for a set of six Telegram stickers and sent payment (see the screen-cap above for payment, cap below for sticker prompts) 08/20/2019 Adiago decided she was going to do my stickers (we were in a voice call), she asked me to remind her of what they were of. (Since she couldn't remember where the details were posted as we talked over several different platforms.) I pinned the message of the sticker details in Discord and she started to get upset that she was reminded that the stickers were of Orion (Her and my ex had had a falling out during this time, and he had left the server) and started shutting down on me and making it very obvious she wanted me to offer to have them changed, she accused my ex (the owner of Orion) and I of trying to copy another pre-existing drake out of anger, and eventually quit responding to me. 09/02/2019 We later had a discussion about changing the character for the stickers, and she agreed to accept Eclipse for the stickers but things were uneasy between us after that. 09/14/2019 - 09/162019 Around this time, the mutual friend of Adiago and I had grown close, and I was hanging out less in Adiago’s servers since I was growing increasingly uncomfortable with her opinions on certain subjects. Adiago did not like this and started dangling my artwork over my head if I didn't come and join in calls, and eventually flat out said she wouldn't do my artwork. Being fed up with Adiago's behavior, I sent her a goodbye message and left her servers. She blocked me and I found out that Adiago had no plans to honor my commissions due to my leaving; overwhelmed I opened a dispute on Paypal. She immediately went off in her server and was telling people she'd destroy me if the charge backs went through and wrote a journal about it on Furaffinity, accusing me of falsely charging her back and saying that she would write a Beware on me. Adiago ended up unblocking my ex who handled things for me as I was too upset. She told him that if the claims were not closed, she had a senior account and would have my account frozen for fraud. My ex was concerned for my mental health and logged onto my Paypal account and closed the claims and took Adi on her word that she would do the artwork. Third-party contact. I'm sorry about the fuzzy dates of the last two screenshots, as I did not take these screenshots and have no way of retrieving them with the exact date. I also do not have the notes between my ex-partner and her as he closed the conversations and didn't know how to reopen them at the time, and currently we're not in contact anymore. My ex had asked me if I wanted to change what one of the stickers were supposed to be since one was supposed to be of Eclipse with the friend I had a falling out with so I told him what I wanted it changed to. (The error image was a screen cap of what I had listed for the stickers originally.) 09/21/2019 I have not had any contact with her directly since we mutually blocked each other. My ex did for a day or two and she later blocked him. Only "updating" us through her Trello where she had made an entirely new section called "low priority" and said she would be decreasing the quality of the artwork as a "hassle fee" Low priority screenshot: Comic Trello card: Stickers Trello card: 09/28/2019 She wrote a journal stating that there was now an update in her TOS to where there where even stricter rules on her species. She also had marked Orion, Eclipse and my warhound as non-canon due to "colours not being right." among other things. I went through a lot of fighting for her to be made and still be considered canon (as originally I wanted the art of my character in her world alongside her sona's ship crew.) so this was very hurtful to me. Journal: Old reference of Adiago’s TOS from time of initial purchase: When I had filled out my form for Eclipse the only two links to any form of TOS was a link to the species Google form listed under the transaction screenshot and this tiny little checkbox of rules at the bottom. She had no other TOS listed on her pages. 11/07/2019 I commissioned a new reference sheet of Eclipse with how I originally envisioned her. I changed her to have paler colouration, additional scars, and made her hair no longer wavy. Adiago, within a few hours of the reference being upload, noted my ex to tell him that she would be repossessing my character since I broke her "species TOS" (which never said I couldn't change my character), and stated she'd "refund what was owed minus labour fees" which completely astounded me. Note: She also wrote a journal saying that she is perfectly okay with doing changes if people just come and talk to her but from how aggressive she has been in the past and how she treated me during the development of my drake, I know this is false. Journal: My ex and I weren't sure what to do but at the time I knew I wanted to stand my ground as my drake alone had over 1k spent on her at the time. I didn't think she was going to refund me because I knew she didn't have the money to do so and I loved my character at the time so I was not willing to give her up. Adiago ended up getting banned from Furaffinity for her threats, harassment and openly trying to sell a drake she stole from her ex so I had hoped that was the end of it. 01/30/2020 Adiago was streaming and she was erasing the identifying features of Eclipse and Orion off the sketch of the comic she owed me. She admitted she wasn't going to do my artwork and instead was going to reuse the pose for her own characters and has since used one of the base drawings from the panels in one of her comics. Admitting in stream as well as name calling: 01/31/2020 She had taken the icons I bought from her back in January of 2019 when commissioning Orion and Eclipse, and she went over them as her own characters. Boasting about how they were "much improved." The icons were not on a base and were meant to be original. Sometime in late August and then on the 28th 2020. I had been dealing with her harassment for years at this point and after an incident that I handled (extremely) poorly resulted in me getting a beware on myself over Eclipse (Which I still feel extremely bad about despite the beware having been solved and I'd apologized so many times to the artist.) I had enough and decided to make a new character and sell Eclipse. I had listed a journal publicly and had someone message me on Furaffinity and we took it over to notes. They knew of the drama behind the character and wanted to buy her privately despite knowing this. Eclipse was worth over 2k at this point and the person was aware I was having her reference sheet made by the artist listed above into a new character and we settled on a sum of 800$ for both canon and the "non-canon" version of Eclipse. Discord message: Their screenshot of them sending me payment: and I had a journal that was pinned to my profile that was a list of where certain characters where re-homed to that mentioned Eclipse had been sold privately. It's been two years and I still haven't received a single cent of what I was owed nor the artwork. She completely removed my comic from her Trello and I have not seen any progress on the stickers either. She has continued harassing me online for years, which can be seen on any of the accounts I listed above, even after I sold my abyss drake. I however, decided to finally post this Beware because recently she has stolen Eclipse back on Deviant art. She has posted that she "repossessed her" back in 2019 (which is a lie) because I had "wrongfully charged back several artist" and that if I'm seen using her anywhere, that I stole her and had no rights to her. Her post: As shown above she has no rights to do as she never gave me a cent back towards Eclipse, and even if she did, she was sold off to another user. I don't expect to see hide nor hair of any of my money but I couldn't let her get away with stealing a character "from me" when it was publicly declared I no longer had her.
7. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/782932.html WHO: CharChar2 on ChickenSmoothie lady--bug on Deviantart WHERE: http://lady--bug.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Digital Reference of my fursona. WHEN: Commissioned on October 6th, 2013. Trouble started about a week afterwards. PROOF: Conversation is read from the bottom to the top! Also read from bottom to the top! Payment proof: EXPLAIN: I commissioned them in October of 2013 to make a digital reference of my fursona. We agreed on the payment pictured above, and yes, pets are a valuable currency on that website. So, afterwards, I sent Charchar2 a PM with a description of the character. No screenshots of this because at the time, I hadn't seen any red flags. The description was along the lines of, "A cyborg German Shepard with a green belly, black top, and a robotic right forearm." She told me okay, and accepted the trade for the pets, and she'd get started right away. A few days later she messaged me and showed me the ref. Everything looked good, until I saw that the arm was a normal dog arm. None of the arms or legs were robotic at all. So I replied, told her everything looked good except the right arm was supposed to be robotic. Me, being naive and trusting, didn't take any screencaps still. She apologized, and told me that she'd try and fix it soon but she had other people waiting for commissions and was slightly busy. I was okay with that, and just told her to get it done as soon as she could. I waited for, probably until February of this year. I was quietly stalking her pages, watching her take more and more commissions while hoping that she hadn't forgotten to fix the arm. Still, I got nothing. A month later, in March, I was getting tired of waiting, so I messaged her and asked if she was ever going to fix the arm. She told me she had no idea what I was talking about and that I was probably confusing her with someone else. I showed her the trade, and told her what I had commissioned. She apologized and told me she would look through her files and see if she could find the ref and fix it. I told her that was fine, but let me know when she found it. So I waited again to July. I messaged her and asked her if she was going to redraw it, because I was assuming she hadn't found the file. Thats when that whole conversation occured. I admit I could have maintained a more calm tone, but I feel very frustrated that a simple fix that could have been easily done in 30 minutes would take over 9 months to tell me she had forgotten about it. UPDATE So, after telling me that she traded away the payment and doesnt have the pets anymore... http://i58.tinypic.com/2pzxjec.jpg . Yep. I did get my refund, but I don't think I will be commissioning them again. They're a great artist, as long as your character is mistake proof.
8. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/781718.html This is a follow up to this post as a few people expressed interest in a full beware. Some information is missing due to it happening last year and I'd like to apologize for that in advance. If there's any information needed I'll try my hardest to dig it up, otherwise I'll be trying my best to recount what happened as accurately as possible. EDIT: Both the Chyuu account and character have been sold to two different people who are not part of this beware, this is only about the user Sibyl. WHO: Chyuu/Sibyl. WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/chyuu (apparently abandoned), http://chyuukitty.tumblr.com, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sibyl. WHAT: A commission done in the style of the Animal Crossing series, the completed commission can be found here. WHEN: Commission was accepted September 23rd 2013, and payment was sent on the same day. Commission was completed on October 3rd. PROOF: -The original journal -Chyuu expressing interest in a slot -The completed form -I sent an invoice, and Chyuu said they would pay in a few hours -More info in the explain section, if a paypal screencap is required I can try to find it EXPLAIN: As you can see in the proof section, I opened AC-style commissions on September 23rd last year, Chyuu expressed interest in one and ordered a slot, they filled out the form I provided and I sent them an invoice for payment. This is when the trouble first started. -I received this note a few hours after Chyuu's previous reply. On its own I found the note condescending at most but looking back I can see it was my first warning sign. I explain that Paypal could track my account through my username and I was simply protecting myself. (I should add that I don't do nsfw work anymore but still don't include my usernames in notes just to be safe). I started to get suspicious at this point due to them claiming they were on a low budget yet had ordered other art, but this was none of my business so I didn't mention it. -I expected them to send payment after this but the invoice was still unpaid, so sent a follow up note a while later reminding them. I received this reply, the sudden change in tone threw me off a little but they did pay their invoice. -The note with their completed commission. I want to point out that I'd mentioned not to use the hires file when reposting in the note, as I do whenever I send files to my customers. I'd also like to point out my ToS where it's also mentioned - "You may repost your commission if you link back to one of my galleries. You may only repost the lowres version. You may edit the hires to use as icons, banners, part of a layout, etc. but please credit me." I never received a reply to this note. -Chyuu then reposted their commission to their gallery. This is how it currently looks, but originally there was no mention of my name. They'd also uploaded the hires version which did not have a watermark. I asked them to credit me but they only added my username to the title, despite my ToS asking for a link back. I originally didn't notice they'd used the hires file, but asked them to change it which they did. You can see the entire comment thread here. -Chyuu reposted their commission again. As before this is how it currently looks. I didn't think to screencap them originally as I was never planning on posting this to A_B. They'd used the lowres file but had once again not credited me. I noted them to ask for credit, this note was ignored. -I noted Chyuu again about credit. I admit I was getting a bit tired of their behaviour so my tone may be a little off from now on which I apologize for! Chyuu replied almost immediately, and continued to do so despite claiming to be busy. Again, I got a little snippy but I found their reply ironic considering they hadn't credited me. -Like before Chyuu didn't link back to my page, the last time I let it go but at this point I really just wanted credit for my artwork. (NSFW) This is what the link leads to. Again, despite claiming to be busy they had time to screencap their gallery yet couldn't simply credit me. I'd actually gone through their gallery at this point to see if their claims were true and found a handful of artwork they hadn't credited, even ignoring someone who had asked for the source in the comments. Again, I can dig up proof of this but I feel it's not entirely relevant to my post. -I asked them to also credit me properly in the first submission. They finally linked back to my profile even if the links are in the bottom right corner of the description. -Chyuu simply replies with this. At this point I'd had enough of their behaviour and told them they were blacklisted. I then blocked Chyuu and thought this would be the end of it. -I don't have proof of this which I apologize for again, but Chyuu then went and reposted their commission to their Tumblr with no credit. I can't remember which file it was but I do remember it being around January this year. Their URL was 'thecuterednote' but the account has since been deleted. Tumblr has a page which you can submit DMCA notices to, I filled out the form and Tumblr took the submission down. -Chyuu has since posted this commission at least one more time to my knowledge. Once again there's no credit and they've posted the hires file. I've sent another DMCA to Tumblr and am waiting to hear back as I write this. The Tumblr this was posted to has since been abandoned and their new Tumblr was posted in the 'where' section. EDIT: Tumblr has removed the post In Conclusion: Chyuu has ignored my ToS and requests on multiple occasions, it's been several months since I took their commission and I'm disappointed that I'm still dealing with this. I'm also worried they've reposted this commission in other places that I haven't found yet. They may continue to disrespect other artists and I'd like to warn them not to do business with this customer.
9. Hello, TL;DR: ChubbyCappie is keeping me on the hook for a $45 for five months with minimal communication and no proof of progress. ---- I never wanted to make a beware for any artist, but given the circumstances and the outcome at this point, my hand has been forced. It may not even be totally relevant for the future since they don't seem to be taking commissions outwardly anymore, but this was still a very poor experience, and warrants a beware as it is the only option I have at this point. For context, I have previously commissioned CC before (mid Sept of 2020) and was very happy with the result, not to mention receiving it within three days of me paying/first contacting. I didn't expect this to be any different, except for the fact I've now waited five months and have had minimal communication (all of which was from me to them; they never reached out to me first). ---- On November 24th, 2020, I contacted CC for another commission idea I had. I received a response the following day and sent my information to them, and I paid the invoice that day. Proof of payment (they don't have their name publicly available afaik so I censored it): Some time passes, it's now December 12th, and I haven't heard anything, so I reach out to them. I get a response on Dec 20th, and they ask for proof of payment, so I send it to them (censoring URL as it has the above screenshot but with less censored): This is the last time I heard from ChubbyCappie for months. Mid February of 2021 rolls around and I'm now getting frustrated. I responded to the last message they sent me (I hadn't received any others): I receive no response, so in mid March, I send an email to their PayPal email letting them know I'm still waiting and giving them the necessary information. The screenshot cuts off the full text, so I'll include it here, minus the image information. Hi, I paid you back on Nov 25, 2020 for a commission. The information is on Furaffinity. You’ve been silent on there but I follow your Twitter and have seen you active there. I’m wondering if I’m going to get my commission, or if that’s not possible, then I’d like to receive a refund. For simplicity’s sake, I’m going to include all relevant information here. I received no response and initiated a chargeback, and finally I received a response. SIDE NOTE: I learned too late to NEVER withdraw the claim, even if the artist asks (I was aware it couldn't be reopened but did it anyway), and that is on me, I know. Unfortunately, I did so, hence why I'm writing this beware, since I already made the mistake. Yes I'm still beating myself up for it. And no, I'm not happy that they asked me to cancel it. They may not realize that that's bad form, but still. The last time I heard from ChubbyCappie was April 7th, 2021. (link is NSFW so I censored it; the pose I wanted is only suggestive, and there is no NSFW detail in the original links so I didn't censor them) Now at the end of April and at my wits' end, I sent them this as a note and email, and then followed with the addendum note/email. They have not seen either yet on FA. Some people might think I didn't wait long enough after sending my final heads up before writing this, but consider: I've already been waiting five months I've been struggling to remain in contact Everyone I've vented to about this told me they wouldn't have waited this long I haven't seen a single WIP or any proof they've started on my commission I am a very patient, understanding client. I don't mind if people have delays, I understand internet issues. But given their recent activity on their other accounts, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable and honestly insulting, and I will only wait so long. ---- Conclusion: I feel awful that I closed the claim and should have either accepted a refund if they didn't want to deal with the limited time frame or done whatever else would have happened. I'm accepting that I will probably just have to bite the bullet on this one and accept the loss of $45, since while I don't believe at all that ChubbyCappie was out to scam me, they did. And that's unacceptable. They continue to be active on YouTube and Twitter and have gone inactive on their FurAffinity, so my only hope is that they catch wind that there is a beware on them and find a way to right this wrong, and I will gladly mark it resolved and move on with no lasting ill-will towards them. Thank you for reading. I hope something comes from this, but at this point, I don't know.
10. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/935156.html WHO: 0cean/Loreisle WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/0cean/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/loreisle/ WHAT: 5 colored digital pictures. WHEN: Aug. 17th PROOF: Proof of payment. Proof of agreement to her terms. EXPLAIN: So originally I bought a sketchbook commission slot from the artist for $100 back in October of 2015. After paying for the sketchbook I had given her a list of my characters I wanted in the book and choosing a book we both like I made sure to keep a somewhat constant communication with her. Eventually the artist went through a huge rough patch that including moving and a few more personal things. This delayed my commission severely, but I was more that understanding. I did check in with her every so often and was kept up to date. (1, 2, 3, and 4.) Eventually I did receive my sketchbook, but since it wasn’t everything promised in the original agreement that artist offered me 5 digital color pictures and I accepted. I gave my first four back in August of this year and later gave the fifth a little while later. Since giving my ideas I’ve kept in contact and check the status once in a while. (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.) For the last few months the artist has been doing multiple ych’s and getting them done in a few weeks. One of which I myself bought and had before any of the five pictures. (12) I try to be patience and not rush artists when I commission them, but it just upsets me to see others get their art a few days later where as I’ve been waiting months. Honestly a beware on this artist is really the last thing I wanted to do. She was one of the first I ever commissioned and has always been pleasant to work with whenever I do. Not even sure if this will even count as a beware. As of now I have one out of the five and have been told the others have been sketched out. (13 and 14) Current Mood: pointless UPDATE 12/2/2016: Artist has uploaded second picture of the list. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21886371/ UPDATE 12/28/2016: Okay so I doubt anyone will see this update. I submitted an update post to the mods and am waiting for approval, but in the meantime I have something new that came after I submitted said update. I finally managed to a reply from 0cean and this is what I get. Firstly I want to say this may just be me, but the whole note came off as entirely rude. I also want add that this reply came after I had to track her down on a DA account she did have listed anywhere. She did even respond to the pm there, but to one I sent a week ago on FA. So after not hearing anything for almost a month I get a rude note. If that isn't bad enough I found she was very active on this new account doing free art stream, adopts, art trades, and personal art. Funny thing is that nowhere on any of her account do it mention lost programs in fact her accounts haven't been active in almost 4 weeks. Clearly if she was active there she could have done some kind of update. I get everyone has a life, but clearly she had the means of updating people. [Misunderstanding] In response to my last edit about the Journal it seems it wasn't about me. She just happened to have posted it about people from an art stream shortly after I asked for and update. Huge mistake on my part there.
11. All below messages are via twitter DMs. See attached screeshots. On Aug 11th 2022 I reached out to the artist who was then Marbleshark_AD on twitter, and now Pup_Jaxces after they did username change. After some discussion of content (skipped in the screenshots), we agreed to two NSFW sketches with alts totalling $140, paid on Aug 14th 2022 after some difficulty with initially paypal'ing the wrong address. I tip $15 at this step, for a total of $155. The agreement and payment is in the screenshots 4 months pass, w. no contact. December 10th 2022, I reached out again asking for an update since it had been awhile and I saw them posting about life struggles on twitter. No reply. 7 days pass w. no contact. December 16th, 2022, I reach out again asking for an update and giving reassurance in case they feared I was angry or annoyed. They reply saying theyve made progress on the comish, and ask for a better place to make contact citing a lack notifications from twitter DMs. I provide my Discord and telegram. They do not reply further. Jan 4th, 2023. I reach out to make contact, having not received any friend request on discord or message on telegram. Jan 24th, 2023, I reach out to make contact, having not received any friend request on discord or message on telegram. Feb 26th, 2023, I post a reply to an art piece on their telegram art gallery asking about my unfinished commission. They ask me there to message them on twitter, then delete the replies. I DM them on twitter asking them to contact me. I tell them I feel ghosted after 5 months, asking for the current state of the comish, and if none or minimal work has been completed I'd like a refund. They say they will need to look through their sketchbooks saying its 'most likely done'. This will be the last message I ever receive from them. July 31, 2023. I reach out to make contact after 5 months of wait, still having not received any further DM on twitter, nor friend request on discord or message on telegram. October 5, 2023. I reach out to make contact after seeing them post on twitter that theyre closing an account they host art on and that theyre discontinuing NSFW comishes, still having not received any further DM on twitter, nor friend request on discord or message on telegram. I ask again for a refund or for an update on their sketchbook search. After this I stop trying to contact them. However on Oct 25th 2023 I make my own artist beware style post on my twitter and @ their handle, which would generate a notification for them. On Nov 23 2023, I notice they've changed their handle to Pup_Jaxces. Having sought multiple times over a full year to resolve this either with delivery or refund, and sAs they have other posts here on ArtistBeware with the same behavior I can only presume this is not a mistake and they have no intent to deliver the commission.
12. Hello there! So a few months ago me and a friend of mine where commissioning a few people in the Artist Ally at Texas Furry Fiesta On the Saturday We went to DAQs booth as we both liked his vintage style. I ordered an inked traditional piece with one character which came out to $50 USD I paid with cash at his both as he had a sign taped next to the price list stating "cash only please" I paid cash and went about my day. The con went well and after I got emails from all the other artists I commissioned except him, I waited a bit longer and still no response, I got a bit suspicious and worried as all the other artists I commission where finished and sent me completed works, all of these where digital and DAQ was traditional which was a bit more odd as I should have been done around the same time if not a bit earlier. I messaged my friend as well to see if they had gotten any response back from him in regards to their piece and they where coming up empty handed as well. I decided to contact one of the emails that where listed to see if I was queued or he at least knows about my commission but that did not work as well. (I'd like to note as well the friend I was with also did the same thing to no response.) I waited a bit longer and still got no response from both email and other forms of communication. At this point I went with a last ditch effort and contacted the head organiser of the artist ally to see if they might have a different email then the one I was provided, they where kind enough to help me and sent an email on my behalf to the one they had on file, and they to came up empty handed as they never got a repose back when they sent the email out on May 20th. At this point I was getting more worried, a few people mentioned to me that what if someone was impersonating him at the convention and informed me to make a public tweet on the matter to clear things up I did so as well on June 7th and have still not gotten a repose back. However during so I did find a comment on Furaffinity from another artist in the artist alley saying he will be making the trip with DAQ as he will be picking him up from a bus station in Texas. As of writing this on June 20th There has been no response from either of the avenues I or other parties have reached out to him on. I am not to sure what to do, and I am wondering if the convention has some kind of Claus or protocol for this where I am able to get my money back, if not it would be a shame to not get some form of recoupment and I hope this artist will be further banned from participating in TFF And now some photos Here is a photo of the price list on his booth, I got the inked version, to the left you can see a bit of the cash only sign, no receipt was given as well Here is the email I sent out to DAQ, just a simple hey just checking in email And here is the email exchange with the head of the TFF artist alley. (big thanks to them for helping) Furaffinity posts confirming he was in attendance there And lastly my public tweet seeing if I can reach out to him that way. Ironically I found his Twitter when he liked a piece I commissioned at TFF, his Twitter is still active as well And that is currently it, so far I have had no responses in awhile and I am hoping something a bit more public will be able to help out but idk. Hopefully this beware is alright and have a good day!
13. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/848616.html Who: Naomy Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/naomy/ Issue: Commissioned SFW Friend pose with a friends character for a gift, Received Mature Couples Pose. Further explaination: I got a commission from Naomy on the 6th May. The commission cost $15 as it was a two person piece, which was a gift for my friend. I requested the image to be a SFW friend pose. I paid them the same day and waited 5 days before receiving the commission (They tend not to do w.i.p.) What i received is completely wrong and unusable, the characters are in a NSFW pose with all the bits showing. Both me and my friend were unimpressed with this and requested that she change it, but all she did was remove the bits leaving the pose untouched and mature in nature. Now i understand that she DID do the work, but the mistake was on her part, and i know she read the comment for it to be SFW because in her excuse she commented a quote that was DIRECTLY after the statement stating that was her idea of "sassy and cutesy" friendship. Since then i have requested a refund as it was a mistake on their part and they refuse to change the image, and my friend noted them requesting them to take the image down as her mate would not take kindly to the image. She has declined to refund and the image is still up with over 300 veiws. This only annoys me as she posted a bunch of commissions today, some of them being SFW friend poses.... I suggested maybe she could re-do the commission or something else to make up for the money, instead of refunding as she declined as the effort was put into it which is fair enough. However neither i nor my friend are comfortable with the image she put up and i'd not like to feel like i wasted money on art that makes me cring and feel shamed by the trouble it's caused my friend every time i see it. It was meant to be a gift, not an issue that my friend, who has a boyfriend, dislikes and doesn't aprove of the position her characters in with mine. She has read the message reguarding the comprise suggestion and has stopped all communitcation since, the image remains up even though both of us has requested it be taken down. Evidence: Commission Notes = http://gyazo.com/109c9a5f9ebba3858b44c687a264518e Payment = http://gyazo.com/e45f08d4a86047d3495c837cf621c75e NSFW Image (with Fix she was willing to do) = http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16520924/ Changes Request = http://gyazo.com/f3afaa096a87d7cc8a42762f5c2c79a6 (Hyota not Yuna, whoops) Refund Request = http://gyazo.com/23f0ab4c701f764703cf27766faaa911 Clearly, according to the last gyazo, She has refused to do anything about the hiccup she made with my commission, so i have Decided to Post this AB, not to say she's bad at what she does, but if you are looking for sfw, i'd suggest looking else where. especially if its with another character. She has done SFW before, and she probably still will, but i refuse to take the risk again as she does so much NSFW its easy to mess up commissions and then refuses to fix the mistake made on her part. Hope this helps anyone, even if it justs encourages you to put more detail into what you want, but i like peoples creativity on my art, little bit of artist freedom, as long as it follows the very limited requests i ask for atleast. Edit: Naomy has currently commented on the picture itself, showing a print screen of the comments my friends posted asking her to remove the image, further proof she HAS seen the requests and finds it amusing that we cant do anything to have it removed. Print screen has been made incase she hides comments~ Edit: Fa Staff are looking into things to have the image removed. (Removed 2nd June) Edit: Paypal ended my claim on the 26th May, Decided in my favor and i will be receiving a full Refund. (received 26th May)
14. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/975718.html EDIT: Paypal Customer Protection Refunded me the $50 that was owed. Artist never tried to talk to me or solve this problem thus this beware will still be kept up. WHO: Telegram: @BarkingEllie https://www.facebook.com/pg/DorkyDogSuits/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Ellieshepherd http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dorkydogsuits https://twitter.com/barkingellie?lang=es https://barkingellie.tumblr.com/ https://www.instagram.com/barkingellie/ WHERE: Telegram WHAT: A Fully Detailed Reference Sheet. Value of $100. Got Refunded $50. WHEN: April 30th I Got the offer from her, and after a few days we got a deal. May 10th is when I paid for the comission. ($100) with a plus of $50 that I did as donation. Problems started in August when she started to ignore me for long periods of time. EXPLAIN: Everything started fine, we discussed prices and options, etc. I would often check on her afterwards since I consider $100 to be quite a high price, though I was willing to pay a lot because of how complex the character is. This person denied giving me access to a ''to-do list'' at all cost. (seen in screencaps) She would often give excuses to explain why she ''doesn't'' have a to-do list. We had a few random days where we would have long chats about life and this one time she mentioned her friend and her run a fursuit business and her friend wanted to buy some fur supply and I donated $50 to help them buy it. I want to say, I am NOT interested into getting this $50 back since it was donation and plus has nothing to do with the actual comission. After August is when I started to feel discomfort towards the treatment amongst the artist and me. Being ignored for almost a whole month made me doubt about this comission so I asked again about the to-do list. Got again another explanation why it doesn't exist and decided to keep quiet for some time. During ALL this time I was given the same ''I will do it this upcoming week'' message over and over though NO sketches OR Work in progress were shown to me AT ALL. Once September arrived I gave her a final message asking for either a To-Do list, to see a WIP OR a Full Refund. Got a reply two days after that telling me they were doing the lineart. I got frustrated and asked why would they be doing the lineart already if I had not seen any work prior to that nor had I aproved it. Artist replied with a short message saying ''If you don't like it then it's not worth finishing it :)'' I got mad over this message and decided to ask for a full refund. She promised to do it 'next week'. I had to wait for a whole month until that happened. BUT I only got half of it refunded. Got a promise of the other half being done as soon as she gets her next payment. A whole month has passed and this person has been ignoring my messages since. Plus I got adviced by one close person to check her furaffinity and facebook (Dorky Dog Suits, her business page) since people have been starting to show up leaving comments about her ignoring them and not getting refunds either. Read below for details. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j177/stewcool/Screenshot2014-05-09090844_zps55e88183.png https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qa0466dcki09wuf/AABY791-yqRJhFdVHgaEZmlRa?dl=0 EXPLAIN: In May 2014, myself and another artist held a collab ych. There were specific rules to the YCH. One of those being if the bids were retracted, hidden, ect. The user responsible would be blocked. The user Crissrudolf, whom I had no previous quarrels with, had bid on this auction but later hid his bids and told me he didn't want to bid any more. I politely told him that as per my rules, he would be blocked for the time being. Later, for one reason, or another, I had gone to his page, and saw a previous artwork I had done for him had been replaced with the image "FUCK OFF MIRERA" as seen above. I did not confront him personally, but reported to the admins. It took a bit, but the image was removed. I thought the problem was dealt with, and we could both move on. Then, in January 2015, I return to his page to check and see if anything was amiss. I saw that he had re-uploaded my artwork I had done for him, only he went as far as to crop out the signature and gave no credit what-so-ever. I left a comment on his page, asking that he either re-submit the correct file, with the signature intact, or to not use my artwork at all. He hid my comment, and did nothing to change. I left the same comment on his weasyle submission, and once again, he removed my comment, and did nothing. I reported to the admins on both sites. Since my husband works with me and handles costumer problems/support, he contacted Crissrudolf and informed him that what he was doing was against copyright laws, and to either fix the problem, or there would be legal action. Crissrudolf responded, saying along the lines of he did not want to promote me, and that he owned the artwork. He then proceeded to block my husband. A little while after, I checked up, and saw that Crissrudolf had updated the submissions with the correct file that included my signature, but not without slandering me, and saying I was "bitching". I did nothing personal to this individual. He did not follow the rules on an auction, and consequences were dealt, as with any other user. I did consider unblocking him after a bit, once the auction was over, and henceforth not accepting bids from him, however, once he decided to do what he did the block remained permanent. This user obviously does not respect me as an artist, and would slander/throw a hissy fit at the first sign of not getting his own way. I would not doubt he would do this to other artists as well. EDIT: Also found out he didn't add an artist tag here: https://e621.net/post/show/454848/2014-anal-anal_penetration-anthro-balls-biceps-bla (NSFW)

I asked for an estimated date of completion and was told end of July. In August after I hadn't heard anything, I emailed to check in, and was told I was scheduled to be completed by the end of August. Mid-September, I emailed again, since I hadn't heard anything again, and it seems there was some personal problems that caused the date to be missed. I was happy as long as I could get them in time for Rainfurrest (September 25-28), and was told they'd be done and shipped by the end of the week, leaving me just enough time to get them before the convention. September 21st, four days to the con, I still hadn't heard anything, so I checked in again. They replied on the 23rd, two days to the con, that they'd ship the paws express to the convention. I gave them the address of the hotel I was staying at. They said they would send me the photos of the paws tonight. September 24th, I emailed to check in, to be sure they were sent, since I hadn't gotten confirmation. The following day, the 25th, I was at the convention. I emailed, if the paws hadn't been shipped by now to just send them to my home address, which I gave again. The 25th and 26th passed without a reply. At this point I assumed I wasn't getting them for the convention. The 27th, I recieved an email letting me know there had been a shipping error, and that they would be sent to my home address today. I got the photos. October 10th, there hadn't been a reply since the 27th, so I emailed again asking for the tracking number, or if it was sent yet. Today, October 15th, there has yet to be a reply. While I believe eventually I will recieve the paws, the experience has been less than pleasant trying to contact them, and the promised due dates falling through is a dissapointment. Had I known there was going to be trouble I would have had time to come up with something for my paw situation at Rainfurrest, but since I assumed I'd get the paws as promised on time, I didn't make a backup plan. To try to figure out what was going on, since they had mentioned both Instagram and Twitter, I searched "PJ" and found "PJHusky", and "SuitsByPaxton". Had I not figured this out myself I would be a lot more upset, since all the information I have to go off of is the email correspondence, and the original Twitter account I had contacted was nuked. I would have thought I was scammed. Added 10/26/14: RESOLUTION: SuitsByPaxton posted on Twitter admitting problems with orders, so I responded on my public account since I hadn't gotten any email responses. You can read the resulting conversation here [screenshot]. Here is a photo of me with the paws once they arrived. CONCLUSION: In the end I recieved the paws, and the paws themselves are exactly what I expected. I hope in the future SuitsByPaxton learns from this experience and will communicate better with their future customers, and keep their deadlines, but be aware for now: if you commission SuitsByPaxton you may be in for a long wait and struggle for communication.
17. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/959501.html WHERE: http://shacklefunk.tumblr.com/ WHAT: Digital reference sheet of my character for 100USD WHEN: Sent out the comission request through their comission form back at the beginning of march (I don't have the exact date for this) and got a confirmation email on the 5th or march saying they accepted my comission. After a bit of trouble due to google wallet and different currencies (I'm in the UK so I couldn't send any USD, my partner in the US had to send it but I discussed all that with shacklefunk through email) I paid for the comission around the 7/8th of march. I checked back in if they got the payment on the 16th and they confirmed it the next day. I've managed to contact them a few times since then to ask about the status and on the 10th of May they informed me that they sent me a refund since it has been taking so long and they'd send me my finished comission soon. That was also the last time I've heard from them. EXPLAIN: I managed to grab a slot for a reference sheet when they opened up for just three slots of comissions back at the beginning of march. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0zd5mo0xhhndhx4/1.jpg?dl=0 Everything went well and we communicated through email, I had some trouble using google wallet since I've never used it before and didn't know I couldn't change the currency. I informed them about this and we worked out a solution. My partner in the US sent the money for it and I made sure to have it sent out as quickly as possible. After I sent out the money I checked back in with them if they had received it. In their reply they said they'd send me the finished picture that day or the next. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/7gujszpqw8y5wim/2.jpg?dl=0 After not having heard back from the again for about a week I sent them another email asking about the comission status. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/v36wxttkirxj57t/3.jpg?dl=0 I still didn't hear back from them and was starting to become quite anxious since it was a large amount of money and I've had some really bad experiences with some comissions before so I sent them another two emails to check on the status of my comission. I tried not to send them too soon after each other since I didn't want to annoy them. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/t2by66donulev1t/4.jpg?dl=0 After not hearing back from them again I tried reaching out to them through the tumblr messaging system instead since they were actively posting there. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/byjgoczepxdn6io/5.jpg?dl=0 I also made a post and tagged them in it to ask them to reply to any of my messages. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/yumr7awje8u1yqe/4_5.jpg?dl=0 That finally got them to reply to me, saying they'd send me the finished pic later that day. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0xw184kjp20iuye/6.jpg?dl=0 I thanked them for it but then didn't hear anything from them for another few days so I decided to send them another message. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/56d5lwiihskcird/7.jpg?dl=0 Over a week later I got a reply saying they've sent me a refund since it had been taking so long and that they'd send me the finished picture soon (?). I didn't see this message until a few days later but then thanked them for the refund. That was the last time I've heard from them. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/6593cczq7p0yfwh/8.jpg?dl=0 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/15rwo9q6ypjqp8m/9.jpg?dl=0 (My partner did receive the refund and sent it to me later on) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ytlfkeced602omz/10.jpg?dl=0 After that I've tried to contact them numerous times through email, tumblr asks, the direct messaging system and posts (with quite some time between them) but never got any reply. I haven't seen anything of my comission at any point and even though they've said back in march that the pic was done (and they just have to send it to me) the only answer I have now is that they've never actually done the comission. I don't know what to do about this anymore since they don't reply to any of my messages at all.

WHEN: Commissioned on September 8th, 2016 and still on going. EXPLAIN: I had commissioned Joshain back on September 8th 2016. Although they are very nice and I am a VERY patient person I am very unsatisfied with the updates I recieved. I believe I got one picture showing me the draft of the tail badge I ordered. (I ordered laminated headshot, tail badge, badge clips, lanyard.http://sta.sh/024y1yhi0v75 Please note in the screenshots a friend paid for me. Unfortunely, they paid through paypal friends and family. http://sta.sh/0a27gtna27m) Other than the one WIP picture to my knowledge I recieved nothing else. I would ask for updates every few weeks, (I lost our earlier messages on my other account - due to a Facebook sweep) and even then it was hard to get in contact with them due to their messages not working. http://sta.sh/01g74e4wxrs9 - September 18th, 2016, They had informed me they were beginning their commissions again as they had taken a break. This message had been sent to both this account and the other I was more active on at the time - I had answered on my lost account which is why there is no response here. (Started on last image ) February 15, 2017, I had poked him again since it was a while since I had last heard from him. He told me he had messaged me asking for my address but my account was down. Since they were ready to be shipped I had asked to see them, he told me he wasn't able to send them at that moment and will later but so far hasn't. http://sta.sh/01wzylghjlda / http://sta.sh/019ei49rbdfo - He took down my name and address to remind themselves to send it. http://sta.sh/02ajnw8rm5jw - By February 26th, I had yet to recieve anything in the mail so messaged him again asking, he hadn't as a friend had his sketchbook. After that, I had left him alone. (Same image) March 11th, I asked him when I should expect my items and that was when he told me he had already sent it out through regular mail that Tuesday. He let me know he'd keep an eye out on it, in case it was sent back to him. http://sta.sh/0woep2tb6el - March 19th, I still had yet to get anything in the mail so once again shot them a message, neither of us had gotten anything in the mail. http://sta.sh/028kricc326c - March 23rd, 24th, 29th and April 3rd, I've sent him messages only to be ignored by him. Aside from him telling me he mailed I have no way to prove it as I did not receive a tracking number or other information. So far, I haven't received a thing. I've gotten art from Germany and it didn't take this long. I've tried for the past few days to resolve this by refund or anything really. I have had to resorted to posting to their wall and commenting on posts they've made to get their attention. So far my comments have been deleted and unanswered. So, I've been tagging them in statuses to get them to respond. Their facebook chat log show them online and active often. http://sta.sh/02aakq50ik7c / http://sta.sh/04svxu7c2hl / http://sta.sh/0a8edb27udr / http://sta.sh/0220haaevn1v / http://sta.sh/0xhk7cmxy2w - All the attempts I've made to get in contact with him, the last time I've heard from him was April 19th only to be told he was busy and he would message me back. But, of course he never did. //Also, the beware I speak about was a facebook group I had been apart of. A friend of mine recommended here to me, we are both hoping it helps. On one of my statuses a friend of his came to defend him, http://sta.sh/026jljohd3j7 / http://sta.sh/09m9icukx6j / http://sta.sh/021xhr09zsas - They stated that if their friend was doing this there had to be a reason. So far, I don't see a reason as everything had been going well until they supposedly mailed out my items. PROOF: All images placed in one album - http://sta.sh/21jca6tqdai5?edit=1 At this point, I have to assume they're blatantly ignoring me and I won't be seeing anything from this transaction. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do, that would be great. Thank you for your time and have a good day.

WHEN: First payment was made to Keryu on 7/15/15. I completed my payment plan (Paid in full) on 11/7/15. I did not receive my suit until 2/28/17 PROOF: http://sta.sh/0fch8p7k9cm All payments including shipping EXPLAIN: Before getting my suit: The biggest problem I experienced with WDW was their lack of professionalism, time management, and manipulation via contract. WDW had a contract that protects her very well but does not at all hold her accountable to her end of business. Not only did she not take deadlines but she did NOT stick to her public queue. I commissioned Keryu back in Mid 2015 for a fullsuit(with additional padding in the tail, arms and legs). I often had problems with her ignoring or just not replying to emails. I eventually had to contact her on Twitter publicly to get her to respond. From then on we talked mostly over twitter. I only got updates from her if I asked her directly and my messages would go unanswered for days if not weeks despite her activity on twitter. I confronted her in Decemberof 2015 about her lack of communication( http://sta.sh/01ehajotfho9 ). She apologized and for a short time was better. However things got really spotty again maybe a month later. She was hardly showing progress and I had to poke at her a lot to see anything or know where she was at. In October of 2016 I confronted her again about the lack of work she was doing on her queue and the fact she was putting out premades more often than suits on her queue(http://sta.sh/0t5egnpnyh6 , http://sta.sh/0awufn79jq , http://sta.sh/02a4hdnoxwfp , http://sta.sh/01kxj6w3zvha , http://sta.sh/0tpxdgasxw1 , http://sta.sh/029rl5mp7po5 , http://sta.sh/01tjnclpu6rj ). The premades were incredibly frustrating to me as she was making little to no progress on my suit but was making multiple premades during the time she was supposed to work on mine(http://sta.sh/2b0lsxb0dga ). She snapped back at me and we went back and forth for a short bit before she said she would send me a free head mount for the wall. I said no but offered to commission a second tail because she had not made the tail the way we had originally agreed. She did not respond. I had to message her again later on for updates. In late january I asked where she was at on my suit and was told she had finished it but hadn’t told me yet(http://sta.sh/0iysrwc7rwx ). She then told me she would ship the suit out on 2/14/17. She also told me that the suit would arrive in time for an event I had on the 25th(http://sta.sh/02fwjvo5xevl http://sta.sh/017x9xkfjsez http://sta.sh/0s1q4mf86w9 http://sta.sh/077ih0wftoq).However she then didn’t ship until the 21st and the suit did not arrive until the 28th. She told me she had misplaced my quote forum and asked me to find it in my emails. She eventually found it(http://sta.sh/0itfq51jvwm ). She disappeared for a few days without saying anything about why. It had been 20 days since I knew of the completion of my suit and she wasn’t shipping it. I waited about 18 Months to get my fursuit and it still came with problems. Upon receiving my suit I knew not everything could be perfect but I was still incredibly disappointed with the things undone despite her taking so much time. I ordered large stompy feet, she left all of the inside foam exposed and the ankle area does not go up high enough for the leg to stay down over it ( http://sta.sh/01tj44b4btih ). The paws are large like requested but there is no foam inside to keep its shape or keep the paw from sliding down and off the hand completely( http://sta.sh/021ueii3k1c8 ).. The one area there is foam is around the claws which is left completely open. The head is too big and moves around a lot, I find myself touching the muzzle a lot just to keep it in place while I’m moving. The holes for the tail are not reinforced in anyway, they are just cuts in the fabric which is very worrisome especially with the size of my tail. The tail is a bit lumpy in areas and the foam doesn’t fill all areas properly, instead it slides around a bit, not stuffed enough. http://sta.sh/0258ef8joryb fullsuit arrived.

She contacted me personally wanting to draw my character. WHEN: What got me suspicious was that she asked for five dollars more to cover Paypal fees…Off. When it got bad was the ignoring for months on end just for a single update, she has no list if there are other commissions going on or journals telling what is going on except she is trying to get active again but then disappearing AGAIN. I wanted to do a claim, but since I gifted stupidly I cannot get it back, nor can I get a refund with my ignored reply obviously. PROOF: When she first contacted me: November 22, 2013 http://i.imgur.com/CJSNdqC.png Proof of Payment on my part: December 5, 2013 http://i.imgur.com/5H5MuIT.png Internally questioning change of price to pay ridiculous fees: December 5, 2013 Was Naive and gifted it... (Explained below) http://i.imgur.com/XV8Dnp7.png https://i.imgur.com/wFaoixH.png She KNEW it would take it out of her '10' or else she would not have asked for more money! Red Flag there had I known... Getting worried at this point. But I was just being patient, polite and wondering if she okay and maybe if there was an update. I do not how much she is taking on, she has no list or anything. So I was curious. : December 27, 2013 http://i.imgur.com/CcINOfv.png Couple months later after ignoring the note above, the final response from her: February 3, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/8TmlRU9.png My reply... http://i.imgur.com/fQ8WG3Z.png My response left unanswered... http://i.imgur.com/7KN8Pdt.png EXPLAIN: At first she wanted that $10, but suddenly she wanted five more dollars to cover the Paypal fee? Paypal NEVER makes a person pay over $5 worth of fees and I never heard of it! She even said she would add in more art but I did not want it... But I fell for it. As Naive as I was back then, I decided to gift it to her, to pay the fees by gifting to move on about it (knowing earlier that gifting usually makes the person buying to pay the fee instead, but that was it…)…It seemed to work. (Later on it is revealed to me that the fee is there to PROTECT buyers and it is against Paypal's Terms of Service for sellers to ask the buyer to pay the fee FOR THEM.) http://i.imgur.com/3ys76EZ.png Trouble starts What I did not know is that if you ‘gift’ customers can no longer be protected because you cannot issue a claim against the person you ‘gifted’ it too. I learned the hard way. No longer will I be commissioning artist that require people to ‘gift’ the money to them so they do not have to pay the fee. Unless they request adding one more dollar to the original commission to pay for it or tell how much I should pay before hand to cover it, and I WILL CHECK. Asked for an update...http://i.imgur.com/CcINOfv.png Two months later… I finally get a response because I noted her asking for an update… But apparently it is going to take another couple of months for my commission. Nothing was done. Was it okay? No, you do not ignore your commissioners, especially what was the reason why for the delay. You tell them first and people should understand in this circumstance, do not IGNORE them for months! I am a very patient person and commissioned a lot of artists, they would tell you this! I can give a LIST. Is it so hard to inform? A reply...finally http://i.imgur.com/8TmlRU9.png http://i.imgur.com/fQ8WG3Z.png My reply back. I replied back to that final note that it would have been okay if she notified me earlier. No this was not okay and replied that I wanted a refund, but instead of waiting for my reply she disappeared for another two months and counting. I am done and fed up by this. http://i.imgur.com/7KN8Pdt.png Sitting for two months :] Funnily enough...even if I would have asked for a refund…. she might have already spent that money, including others!? This was on a journal 6 months ago (from April 22, 2014) that she was supposed to get ‘active’ again and I sent my “I want a refund note’ two months after until she disappeared again (not a surprise). So I waited even longer for nothing I am going to get back. She has done it before and I would not be surprised., People even asked for a refund there is a bunch of wrong with this... I included that she can contact me here or on Furaffinity( as I unblocked her for this reason) that if she wants to make sure the paypal e-mail is correct that I can tell her/give it if anything. http://i.imgur.com/9fkv5xB.png Dead-line I have yet to receive any kind of payment... I'm very sad that I wouldn't be getting the pic I really wanted, but at least I'll get my points back. March comes along, and I'm getting kind of impatient. I ask her if I'll be getting them back soon, and she says she doesn't have any at the moment. March 8th, March 14th, and March 17th she steadily posts art again. http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/PrincessDay-WIP2-595419685 http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/WALK-596722555 http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/Family-Matters-597132702 On March 18th, she posts another YCH. http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/YCH-5-597466305 She completes the slot on that and does two more pieces on the 20th and May 20th. On the last piece, she mentions her inspiration came back for a moment, but left her as soon as she completed it. http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/YCH-5-PrincelyPixels-597613247 http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/Theres-A-First-For-Everything-597869166 http://lingling-arts.deviantart.com/art/Spideypool-pone-610256124 Fed up, I warn her on May 23rd that if I don't have my points back by June 1st, I'll be making an artists beware. She tells me to go ahead, and that she's lost all her inspiration and has no points to give me. May 30th comes, and she posts a journal. She states she's not coming back because her inspiration has left her. She also says she doesn't care if we report her for not returning our points. It may have been just 5.00, but 5.00 wasted. I don't care about inspiration, I paid you to do something and you've scammed me. I haven't reached out to the other person who hadn't received any art from her, so I do not know if she paid him back or not. Current Mood: Mad Update 12/17/16 - Today I have recevied my points from Lingling back in full. I'd mark this as a resovled.
23. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/906397.html WHO: Gideon Hoss WHERE: Anthrocon Pittsburgh, PA, July 9th-12th, 2015 http://www.furaffinity.net/user/gideon / http://www.gideonscorral.com/ WHAT: traditional "con sketch" for $40 WHEN: Friday, July 10th, 12:45PM Pittsburgh time EXPLAIN: As soon as the dealer's room opened, I rushed in to get several commissions for a friend of mine in Sweden, knowing that sketch slots fill up fast. One of my friend’s requests was NSFW sketch of his zebra/dog character (Gideon is well known for his hyper-genetila pictures.) After securing commissions from several other artists first, I arrived at his both around 12:30pm. I purchased a sketch commission slot for $40, along with one of his CD compilations for $10. I gave him my friend’s character references, along with a description of what he wanted, and paid the $50 at that time using my PayPal debit card (see receipts above). I was told he would complete the sketch that night and it would be available for pick up the next morning. The next day (Saturday), I went to his booth to pick up the sketch, but was told he didn’t have enough time to complete it, and that he would try to get it done that night for me. Ok, fine. Things happen, sketches take longer then they expect, etc. Again, when I went to his booth the next day, I was again told that he did not complete it, but he would try to get it done before the end of the con. We exchanged phone numbers so that he could text me when it was ready. Instead, later that evening he texted me to say he did not complete it, but would do so when he got home and mail it to me. I waited several weeks with no messages from him, so I sent him a text message inquiring about the status of the sketch, but he never responded. I tried several more text messages after that over the following weeks, and again received no response. I was able to locate his email address on his website and attempted to contact him that way, but again received no response. As it turns out, my friend was going to be attending Eurofurence in August 2015, and Gideon was to have a booth there. They exchanges several emails and made arrangements to meet to pick it up, but Gideon never showed up at the arranged time. After that con, he again failed to contact us. Both my friend and I attempted to email him every couple weeks or so after that, and he yet again didn’t respond. In September, I again tried contact him as I saw that he was going to be at the Rainfurrest convention in Seattle later that month and could make arrangements to pick up the sketch, as I was going to be in the area visiting friends. Again, I received no response from him. In November, I tried to contact him via his Furaffinity.com account. Needless to say, I was very surprised when he actually *DID* respond. He claimed he was not receiving our emails (which I find very hard to believe since they seemed to work just fine when we could “pin him down” at a con, but whatever.) After a few exchanges on the fur affinity message system, he stopped responding yet again. My friend and I both attempted to contact him several times in December and January, to which we again received no response. At some point I also left him negative feedback on his credit card merchant account, citing the long overdue delivery and lack of response, and yet again he never replied. At this point, it’s now been over 7 months since the con it was originally supposed to be done at, and we’ve been given him more than enough chances to correct the situation. My friend is heart set on getting this sketch from Gideon, so I would very much like to receive it, and soon. At this point, if he has any intention of completing it, I feel he should mail the sketch to my friend in Sweden at his cost: Has he actually completed it at Anthrocon as originally promised, I would have been able to send it in a package of other “con goodies” I got for my friend – an additional sheet of paper probably would not have raised the postage any more. If he has no intention of completing it in a reasonable time, I want a $40 refund. I’m sorry, but there is no excuse for this lack of customer service on his part. A paying customer should NOT have to try to hunt down an artist like this, only to be given empty promises or be completely ignored. It makes me wonder how many other people he’s done this to that maybe gave up after a few tries. My friend was actually considering getting a full colored commission from him at some point, but after this experience, I don’t think that’s going to happen anymore. PROOF:
24. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/904784.html In July 2015, I posted a lost contact on this artist, but was never able to contact her. As she seems to have vanished from all her known accounts, posting a beware on her seems pointless, but this is still something everyone should be aware of in the extremely unlikely event that she returns and continues to accept commissions. All information is below. WHO: EyeKissa (deviantART) or iKissa (FurAffinity) WHERE: http://www.eyekissa.deviantart.com or http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ikissa WHAT: Traditional Design Commission ($10 USD) WHEN: The commission correspondence began on April 3rd, 2014. The commission was paid for on May 26th, 2014, after I approved a sketch. As of May 2016, the commission still hasn't been received and the artist has vanished, with the final conversation I had with her taking place in November 2014. PROOF/EXPLAIN: Since our correspondence was over two years ago, some messages have been deleted, but here is what I managed to find in my dA inbox. Read from bottom to top, please! April 2014: EyeKissa opened for design commissions and I sent her a note about one, including a form she specified for prospective customers to use. She replied that nine other users had ordered commissions before me and that my custom might take "up to two weeks at the most," which I agreed to. She also told me to wait until an approval sketch was sent to pay. May 2014: I didn't hear from EyeKissa in awhile, but she was progressing on her other commissions rather quickly, so I didn't mind the wait. On May 26th, she sent me a note and asked if I was still interested in the custom, to which I replied that I was and requested a species change, since it hadn't been started. She told me this was fine and to expect a sketch later that day. A few hours later, she sent me this note with a sketch included for my approval. I approve and pay. (The red box censors an email address.) November 2014: After this, I don't hear from her until November, when she unexpectedly offers me a refund. Here, I will confess that I was rude in my response, which I know now was unnecessarily guilt-tripping and could have been said much better. Essentially, I told her that I would accept the refund, but I was disappointed in her service because she had finished almost all of her other commissions, most of which had been paid for after mine. Someone who had been added to her to-do list weeks after me had their commission finished before me, which is why I was so displeased. Still, this was rude of me and I regret it. She responds with the offer to both refund me and finish the commission, to which I tell her that I don't expect her to complete the commission after she's refunded me. I receive this response, in which she tells me that she wants to do it, which is the last message I have on record from her. She claims she will send the refund the next day, but it was never received. I've sent follow-up messages, but none of them have been opened, as well as posted on her pages to see if anyone has been in contact with her lately. This comment on her page suggests that she might be overseas at the moment, but there's no solid evidence of this otherwise. If this to-do list is to be believed, there's at least one other customer out there who never received their commission. Before she vanished, EyeKissa was always pleasant to work with, so I'm sad that I had to post a beware on her, but the fact remains that she didn't refund me or complete a commission I paid for two years ago. It's a lost cause by now, but I hope she's okay. EDIT (06/05/16): Here is evidence that the artist has internet connection and has been on her dA account very recently. Someone drew her character and she added the image to her favorites just today. The notes I have sent her still haven't been opened, however, and she hasn't reached out to me. EDIT (06/23/16): After I received the note that is pasted in the comments below, I responded to EyeKissa on dA. She promised me a refund the next day, when I instead received notice that she was unable to make it to the bank, but would be able to the next day. One week passed with no response or refund, so I noted her. Five days later, the note still hasn't been read, so it seems like she has vanished on me once more. (I'll add screenshots of this as soon as I'm able.) EDIT (06/23/16): Here are the screenshots of the above transaction! Notes 1 (Read Bottom to Top) Notes 2 (Read Bottom to Top) The latter includes both the request for an update that I sent five days ago and the response I received to it literally thirty minutes or so after I posted today's update. The most recent correspondence promises a refund later tonight, but I've received nothing thus far. (I didn't intend to update this so frequently, or include literally every update as it comes, but a response happened to pop up today.) EDIT (06/30/16): EyeKissa has refunded me. This matter is resolved. (I also want to mention here that she has been extremely apologetic for her absence and has went through a great deal of trouble to right her wrongs. While it doesn't erase that this happened, I know she had no ill intent in the situation and I believe she's safe for others to commission!)
25. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/1001804.html WHO: Goes by the name Kurumi, not much other information is available. Her phone number looks to be scammy/no info. WHERE: I met her at ANE 2018 at her table, who had a square and her tablet with some works of art on the table. WHAT: Traditional art, a sketch of my character WHEN: From February 24th to June 2018 EXPLAIN: I met her at one of the artist alley tables at ANE. She looked professional and like most of the other artists there. She was kind and well mannered at first glance. I have her a reference of my character and had paid for the sketch via her square. She said it would be completed for the next day, Sunday. On Sunday I got a text saying she couldn't make it because she took a train up to Boston from RI and she couldn't get there in time, to which she said she would mail me the work and I was fine with that. She promised she would send me the work the next day and, nothing. March 2nd I asked if everything was okay and if stuff has been sent out, and she said it would ship next Monday. Nothing again, I contacted her again March 17th, and didn't get a reply until April 7th saying her phone broke, and she lost addresses presumably? I had filed a claim with the bank at this point and just wanted my money back. She had said she could offer a refund but I have not gotten a message back from her since April 8th. The bank would not refund me as of June 2018 since the money was given "willingly" even though it was for an item that I never received. I'm not sure if the art at the table was even hers with the amount of run arounds I was getting. I tried to remain positive and when I had gotten into contact with her again I felt bad and said once I was refunded my money, if she got her things together I would pay her in hopes she would do it this time. But I was never refunded, and never got the piece. PROOF: https://s33.postimg.cc/yzwlvuo3z/kurumi.png She has no social media that I'm aware of and I have no other way of contacting her. IF YOU SEE HER NAME AT A CONVENTION, PLEASE STAY AWAY.
