My personal journey with BadCoyote begins circa mid 2017, when I discovered his art on FA, and fell in love with his more realistic rendering of muscle. He had one pic in particular, of a bald eagle (Shown later below), that I just adored, and when he was open for commissions circa mid-2019, I created a PayPal account and made my first purchase: Specifically, I paid $250 USD for a character reference sheet, which included "Front, back and side view of the character, color swatch, and choice of font" and "A collaborative design session" (Included here is his newer commission form, circa July 2020, and his older one from early 2020, same prices and listings, but added a bullet point for "Complex armor/outfit/tattoos" costing $50 extra): I paid in full on June 22nd, 2019, and would not hear from BadCoyote again relating to my commission until April 24th, 2020, a full ten months after the invoice date: Now, lets talk about BC's Terms of Service (ToS): he has two separate versions, an old one (Used before July 2020, as far as I can tell) which he now claims applies to me based on my purchase date, and a new one (Screenshot taken in October 2020): Now you will notice the old ToS on the left has no set time-frame and refunds section, and is rather vague on when pieces will be delivered. If I give him the benefit of the doubt, the vagueness was not intentionally set up as a slippery way to get out of refunds, but rather run of the mill incompetence. This is seemingly corrected with the updated ToS on the right, which has a fairly comprehensive policy in the "TIMEFRAME & REFUNDS" section, specifically: I would consider a character sheet in the same level as a painted illustration, given the work involved, which would have given BadCoyote until December 22nd, 2019 to finish my commission. The fact that I didn't even hear from him until late April 2020 means he is in breach of his own ToS. And to be clear: He did not start work on my commission, as far as I know. BadCoyote does not run a Trello board, note system, regular tweets on progress, or updates to a profile like FA, Weasyl, Inkbunny, DeviantArt etc. with WIPs, nothing. BadCoyote routinely goes completely silent, for months on end, and no one has any idea what he has been doing in the months since his last tweet or last art stream on Picarto. The few updates commissioners or fans get is through his Twitter, which, for our purposes here, does not routinely give updates on commission progress or WIPs. He will post finished pieces randomly, usually weeks or months between such updates, and I never received any indication my commission was ever worked on. This leads to my character commission. On Twitter, I sent him examples of what I was going for: Here start and ends the "Collaborative Design Session". This is me telling him what I wanted with the commission, and then it just ended. I would send him more examples of what I wanted from bodybuilding references... Doesn't matter. He never acknowledged these additional images, or that he got my messages. Thus ends the "Collaborative design session", I guess. Personally, it did not feel collaborative, nor a session. Pretty unsatisfying, tbh. On June 28th, 2020, BadCoyote updated his Twitter with a list of 23 commissioners waiting on pieces: A few days after this tweet, BadCoyote announced one of his random Picarto streams, where he did art live, and his husband, Lobo, ran trivia, with prizes being either sketches or chibis (btw they still owe me a chibi from a year ago when I won trivia) done in an hour or less, live on stream. I take this as proof that he can work fast, as the following two pieces of my werewolf sona, TK, were finished within 4 days for the weightlifting piece, and the forest piece was finished live on stream since it was a $30 sketch commission, in under an hour: I would also like to point out his response to posting a queue of 23 separate commissions waiting to be completed was to draw sketches as trivia wins and take on stream commissions. Because he announced the stream, I figured that was a sign he was working, and decided to ask for any updates: Note that I did not say "I agree" or "I like it", because I did not want this to happen. But this was the first and only indication from BC that my piece was finally going to get worked on, a full year after the original invoice date of June 22nd, 2019. So I made a point to watch the stream, win trivia again (because that's what I do dab), and have people admire my eagley boi. This is the only piece I have received from BC regarding my $250 color character sheet, a full year after I commissioned him, paid in full: I'd like to note I was never sent a draft or image, and instead had to screenshot the stream. I will be honest: I don't fully like it, and I would have liked more changes, as I detailed on Twitter; such as a v-taper waist and more prominent obliques, as well as some changes to the muscles overall. This is a starting point, I fully get that, but BadCoyote and Lobo were seemingly against any changes made in the chat on stream, I guess because it made more work for them? Now, what I imagine BadCoyote will say is that because I have this pic, I will only get a partial refund from him, if any at all. My argument is that I paid for a character sheet he described in his commission form as being "Front, back and side, with color swatch". This is a black and white draft, barely the front view, and was started and completed on July 4th 2020, well outside the 6 month maximum outlined in the ToS, given an invoice date of June 22nd, 2019. This here represents the first and only piece of evidence BC did any work on my commission, and it was preformed a full year plus after invoice date/the commission was paid in full. I have not received what I paid $250 for, given the only work preformed is this black and white sketch, when I commissioned him for a full color eagle character reference sheet including front, side and back views. Since the Picarto stream on July 4th, 2020, I left Twitter because of personal reasons (Twitter was stressing me out, basically). This had the unintended consequence of cutting off my only communication line with BC, so I made a new Twitter account solely to communicate with him. He told me it would be better to email him, so I did just that: I never got replies when it came to updates on my commission, but he did reply to an email relating to his husbands health: I take this as proof he is reading this email address, and therefore is selectively choosing what he does and does not reply to. He told me on Twitter to email *this* email account. After speaking to a fellow BadCoyote commissioner about how long its taken and not hearing anything from BC, I finally decided enough was enough, and sent an email to BC saying I am posting an ArtistBeware on him because it has been over and year and a half now, and I have not received any updates on my commission. He did not reply. So I decided to leave a warning in his shouts to anyone considering working with him: BadCoyote deleted these shouts a day later, and reached out on FA: Let me be clear: There is no good time to ask BC to preform his work duties. Anytime I have seen anyone bring up the fact he owes them art or a refund, he treats it like he is being bullied, followed by a bevy of excuses ("Multiple Surgeries", "Burnout", "Been feeling sick because of my [censored]", "Dealing with family drama" etc). If I did not contact him on his holiday, I would have interrupted him while he was *totally* working on someone else's piece, or was sick and not feeling well, or was dealing with his dog, or whatever. There will never be a good time to make BC do his job, in my personal view. To ask him for updates regarding my $250 commission from a year and a half ago is quite obviously rude, and how dare I. The finale to this is I sent him a note on FA asking for any updates, and BC sent me a note back saying he is willing to do the piece, so long as I remain civil. So I accepted his offer, specifically because of this line: I reiterated what I wanted for my eagle design in response: Like the past year and a half, no response, no updates on Twitter, nothing. The week passed. Its been 18 months at this point. When BC talks about civility here, what I believe he means is "Go easy on me" and let him continue operating as he does. The way he conducts himself has lead to a queue of 23 people, all of whom paid in advance, waiting in some cases years for their drawings. When you criticize this simple fact, you are being uncivil in BC's view, and in fact, bullying him. BC says in his FA messages to me that he plans on leaving the fandom: To BC, all I can say is good luck.

I purchased a commission from Galactirad on etsy that was never fulfilled by the artist. I attempted to contact them twice on etsy about it and recieved no answers. Unfortunately Etsy said I had missed the window on opening a case against Galactirad which means I never recieved my commission or a refund from etsy or the artist. For a long time I was unable to reach Galactirad through etsy or Instagram. For a long time they went silent on social media until recently they announced they would be moving to another Instagram account under the name Strawberrydecayy. I politley contacted them again to see if they would resolve the issue, instead they blocked me. I've noticed their etsy shop is now closed, but they are still accepting commissions through PayPal. - We originally agreed I would provide references and payment and they would draw me a full body colored image of my character. I've tried to provide adequate proof in chronological order for the event in question. This includes messages and proof of payment.

TLDR: I commissioned Cassandra in August of 2018 and have received nothing but delays and excuses until she stopped responding to messages in May of 2020. Back around August 2018, I had decided to commission Cassandra for a custom plush of a character I created. With it would be included 1 set of clothes and plush jewelry for him. The total for it was $170, which was paid on August 18th, 2018. In September, I get notified that she’ll be moving soon but that the plush would be finished once that was finished. She next messages me a bit in October with a question about the clothes and I don’t hear anything from her until I message her in December asking her to check with me about the address before sending the plush. From this point in time, I was distracted by some personal matters that were going on (the reason I would eventually be moving) and kind of forgot about the commission until March 2019 when I sent a new shipping address and asked how the plush was progressing. She was still recovering from a surgery she had in the month before. From here, I checked in every so often and ask how things were going with my plush and I was reassured she was still working on it while also getting a new excuse each time for further delays (family issues, dog had babies, moving again, etc.). Finally, we get to May 2020 and I check in again only to hear she had moved her focus to making masks and that she was having issues with shipping things due to COVID. This is the last time I heard anything from her even though I messaged her multiple times from August to November. And full disclosure, I wasn’t exactly nice in my last message to her, but I was very upset after having been lead on and lied to for so long. Around early to mid-August I start worrying because she hadn’t replied to me yet and I end up checking her Etsy page. She had posted a notice that she was temporarily taking a vacation due to the pandemic and so she can track down delayed or lost packages. It did state that current orders were still in fact being worked on though, which made me feel slightly better even though I was still worried. Not to long after, I had noticed that the message had been updated to include that her Instagram was hacked, which at the time I figured was why she hadn’t replied to any of my messages. However, I didn’t notice until mid-September that multiple negative reviews had popped up on her store, all of which site either missing orders, lack of communication, or both. So now it wasn’t just me she wasn’t communicating with, but a bunch of other customers as well. Of course, I still wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt though and tried reaching out through Etsy but all I got was the auto reply. Not getting any replies here, I also try to reach out via email to hopefully clear things up and quell my worries, but again, no answer. Eventually, her Etsy shop was either removed or taken down due to the negative reviews (not sure which). Not sure where to go from here, I post a missing contacts post on here on Artists Beware and also reach out via email. At this point, I has already suspected that I had been scammed but still hoped it was just some problem that had happened. After a few days, I was contacted by another person who told me that she had also done this with quite a few others, them included. [removed due to third party] Additionally, she deleted the emails I was using to try to contact her sometime after I had first emailed her about this whole thing. With all this going on, I felt I couldn’t give her the benefit of the doubt any more and decided that I would put up a beware on her. I’m also inclined to believe that I was given the runaround and a lot of what she told me may have been lies. I certainly do not believe her Instagram account was hacked, as the timing was just too convenient and happened just as all the negative review started coming in. I am also very doubtful that she lost as many shipments as there are people who did not receive their order even with the COVID related postal delays that did actually occur. I had also even reached out to some family members in my desperation to get any sort of communication with her. I got a couple replies back, one of which also stated that they had ordered masks from her but she told them the package had been lost in the mail and that they are still waiting for their money back as well. Most recently, I had also discovered that she has a Twitch channel where she has streamed many times since I last spoke with her, further evidence that she is not in a position where she wouldn’t be able to reach out to anyone and that she was indeed ignoring not just me, but everyone else as well. So regardless of whether I’m able to get a refund, I would like to say DO NOT COMMISSION CASSANDRA WISE. It’s been so long since I did and I have nothing to show for it. I’ll admit that I definitely wasn’t as persistent as I should’ve been with this commission, but ultimately she’s the one that run off without so much as a good bye and it seems she is refusing to communicate with anyone that she owes work to. As of December 1st, 2017 I came across an advertisement listed on Furaffinity's home page for a fursuit head sold by blueraccoon23 for a flat price of 400 dollars plus shipping. I promptly messaged her about it and showed immediate interest to her and a payment arrangement was quickly made within a couple days. The conversation continued and we agreed to a payment plan of 50/50 through paypal. The first paypal request was on December 6th, 2017 (Sent from her through goods and services) for the amount of 215 dollars. (200 for half the commission and 15 for shipping through USPS) And was paid by me on the date below (December 8th, 2017) After the first payment, commission details were discussed. Including possible additional pricing for other items on the fursuit head. Originally the extra price was going to be included in the second paypal request. But she had the materials on hand to do it a different way so it wasn't in the second payment of 200 dollars through paypal goods and services. She requested the money through a Furaffinity note message on March 17th 2018 for the amount of 200 dollars. And I denied it at the time. In retrospect this should have been the first indication that something was wrong when she was asking me for money out of the blue, when there was no date set for either transaction and she made multiple mentions that there was no problem with the delay of transaction. The above date is when the invoice was sent on April 3rd, 2018. And it was paid by me to the amount of 200 dollars on May 9th, 2018. During the entire month of May, a string of messages from me went unanswered by her for over a month. Ending with her last communication via furaffinity note message on June 2nd, 2018. (The length of the screen captures show text from previous messages to keep consistency between posts) Inbox messages, showing the long gap between her responses. Outbox messages, showing the unanswered messages from me to her. I sent one more note on July 31st, 2020 that went unanswered. No more communications between us occurred on furaffinity. By October 3rd, 2018 I messaged her on her business email account. Found on her Instagram, website, and also through paypal. From that date until October 16th, 2020, she only replied once and 7 messages went without reply. (Again, screen captures are kept long to keep consistency. These are gmail messages in PDF printer format. Bottom of the page indicates 1/1 pages on all screen captures to show no replies are missing or falsified) During all of these emails, on May 23rd, 2019 I found her telegram account by using the same name, Blueraccoon23 and messaged her, she replied in roughly 1 hour. Over the course of 17 minutes she sends 5 messages and then never responds again through Telegram. The email attempts continue on September 15th, with only one message sent in the thread. Finally I ask for a refund on October 16th, 2020 with the details of the transaction included. She mentioned in her one email response to check her Trello account, because that's where she updates her commission queue. She never added my name, and the names that are in her queue currently have been on there for well over a year. Her Trello can be found here: https://trello.com/b/H0ZXIlhr/bluecoons-creations Her last update was May 10th, 2019) Her Instagram is: https://www.instagram.com/blueraccoon23/ and at the time of this post, the website listed on her Instagram is no longer a valid web domain: www.bluecoonscreations.com and that was the only place that I know of where her Trello account was even listed in the first place. [removed by staff for proxy: Remember, posts should only talk about your issues with an artist. Not other people.] So in short, if you ever see blueraccon23 (Jasper on Instagram) Don't commission her. There is a high likely-hood that you will never see your name on the queue, that she won't ever respond to you, with possible lost money and lost time.

I did a commission for the guy, I talked to him very normally, and the verbal agreement was done. I started his commission sent him 2 progress reports, after the second progress report was sent, the next day he blocked me. I'm not going to harass him or anything but just be careful he seems just fine with stealing. Funny thing it was still a wip...

When Mothux posted in May of 2020 that they were opening for a few pin-up slots; I had a steady, disposable income; and their art style looked slick- -I jumped right in and ordered a pinup from them. After this I paid the invoice they sent me and began to wait. I added them on discord 9 days later, and we both said hello. I played in some small talk to get conversation going because they hadn't responded to my question about additional info in almost a week, and I got a response then. After that, it was crickets. By this point I had become exasperated with a lack of communication and any WIP of any sort. I just wanted to close this chapter and move on because I thought they had disappeared from the face of the earth and had given no explanation whatsoever. Twenty days after my last note they posted an update on their FA. They also started streaming their art regularly since this update, so they were still kicking and clearly doing work. The important bit to me was that they had a friend helping them respond to emails and provided an email to reach out to in order to remind them that they have open commissions. I decided to exercise the email they gave and sent them one. By this point I was almost beyond hoping that I was going to see any response, and I thought maybe a sterner approach would garner a response. Unfortunately this was not the case, and a week later I sent them a follow-up email asking for a refund due to a failure to deliver, with much more formality. I was also pretty tired of getting ghosted while they were actively streaming. I have sent multiple notes on FA and Discord to get their attention with no real response. For a $245 commission, I expected a little more responsiveness. However, after checking their shouts at the behest of my friend — who are also having issues getting in contact — I lost hope that I would get my drawing. I have ordered a refund through Paypal due to not delivering goods as of August 15th. As unfortunate as it is, my money will have to find another pocket to call home.

In August 2017, I contacted Noben about a commission and it was agreed upon. $150 was paid on August 23rd, 2017. All of her business was handled through someone else at the time, and they are no longer working with her. I had also messaged about a refund last May, and it was agreed upon through their secretary that it would be done, with no guarantee on when I would get my money back. Fast forward to November 2020, and that secretary no longer handles their business. I emailed Noben as it said to on her Furaffinity, and as of today on January 1st, 2021, I have gotten no reply. I'm generally very patient with artists if they communicate, but this is just exploiting my patience at this point. PayPal Invoice Trello card (Current) Agreement to refund (I am BigHoot) Email to Noben with no answer

I first contacted Hawk on April 25, 2020 through instagram. I received a quote of $1050 (+$50 shipping) on the same day. Commissions were advertised to open on July 1st, so when that day came around I went ahead to request a slot. They did not reply for 5 days (they usually didn't take more than a day to respond), so I emailed them instead. I got a reply in about 6 hours saying that they weren’t very active on insta due to personal reasons and that I could get a slot. I requested a commission slot on July 5th, 2020. At first, they tried to get me to send through Venmo, but I declined due to lack of buyer protection (thank god). Sorry I couldn't fit their user into this screenshot- the email too long to fit this piece and their user into one screenshot. I got an updated quote of $1200 (+$50 shipping) on July 6, 2020. At time of slot request, I was not first in the queue, so we agreed that I'd pay 30% down ($360) then to save my place, and the other 70% ($840) when I was first in line. I paid the 30% down on July 9th, 2020. After contact via email, replies from Hawk came every 1-4 days. On July 27, 2020, Hawk contacted me to tell me that I was now first in the queue. I paid the remaining 70% on July 28, 2020. After sending the rest of the payment, they confirmed that they'd received it, and said they'd be posting to their instagram, @fluffy.fox.fursuits, in a few days. Their instagram has not posted anything new since April 2020. As seen in the screenshot below, their definition of a late response was 3 days after the money was sent, which would become nothing compared to after this email lol. On their website, it states that the turnaround time for a partials take 6-7 weeks once you're first in the queue, so I expected to see SOME kind of progress within 2.5 months. After seeing no work in progresses and getting no response, I reached out just to check if things were going alright. I'm completely okay with delays, but not with being completely ignored for months. As my buyer protection was nearing its close, I decided to file a paypal dispute on November 23, 2020. By the 27th, they still hadn't replied, so I messaged them through paypal giving them one more chance to respond before I escalated the issue to paypal. After no response, I escalated the issue. Paypal has messaged them but have not received a response as of yet. It's safe to say I'll be getting the money back by default after the unresponsive 10 days are up. Judging by their attempt to get me to pay through venmo, I think this was their plan all along, yet they aren't experienced enough with paypal to know that it has buyer protection. I suspect after their account goes under by the $1.2k they'll suddenly appear and want to chat. This maker had great recent work despite their not-so-great past, and I personally know the person they last made a suit for, which is what made me choose this maker in the first place. Still, even if they decide to fix up their act after losing the money, I wouldn't trust them again, and I'm surely not giving the money back if they ask for a second chance.

This is an artist beware about Bunnyoffuzz on July who commissioned me to do a comic featuring his bunny character. the commission was given to him on October 11th. He then commissioned me again this time for a hugging picture on the 31st of October featuring his bunny character James Bunny paws and his other character with the Ko-fi donations he sent. after that I received two ko-fi donations or "I like your art here is your tip" I sent him his art he was satisfied with it. On the day of charge back incident I noticed my paypal was in the negative and I checked my email to see that he had opened 3 disputes against the second payment for the comic, the hugging picture, as well as just a normal Ko-fi donation. This is not his first rodeo into chargebacks and most certainly won't be his last I urge you greatly to keep caution when he attempts to commission you. He has had history of doing this in the past. I will be posting the screenshots I have of Me and him Art that he has posted received from me as well as the emails I have received from paypal etc. The end will be the chargebacks that happened in 2019 regarding him. In 2019 ontop of chargebacks paypal also had a $20 fee associated with every single chargeback so you can imagine how that add's up in the end.

Please do not harass this person if you come across them! I am writing this beware as my interactions with them make me worry they will continue to life to artist (and possibly scam them out off money as will be seen later), and continue to steal art and characters. I was contacted by BitchDrift (will call her BD for short) regarding a client of hers commissioning art from her using a character and art stolen from me. My character and art in question: FlowerMimikyu's edit: After informing me about this I was invited into a group chat with BD, FlowerMimikyu, and one of BD's friends who had notified BD the character was stolen. Below is what happened as I confronted FlowerMimikyu. I go by (the very professional username) "King Rastakhan Simp" in these screenshots. I thought that would be it and I'd just have to move on from the situations, but some time later the same night FlowerMimikyu sent me a friend request, which I accepted. This is what happened next: Seeing as we were going nowhere with this I blocked them. At this point I had already made several friends aware of the situation, as well some public posts on my deviantart and twitter, but it was this final chat, as well as what BD showed me afterwards, that pushed me to write this beware. Permission from BD to use her proof:

Would like to note that the Client since this incident, has deactivated their twitter and FA account. I have attached all the proof and censored out any sensitive information, On November 16, 2020 I received a notification of a chargeback on my PayPal account for the sum of $600 from this individual's commission stating it was an order "made without their permission" or an "unauthorized purchase". This was false as I attached when the client contacted me about his stickers while he paid. The artwork in question was completed and delivered to the buyer. When the chargeback occurred, I emailed the client asking for an explanation. He claimed that he "paid his mother" via her PayPal to get them and wasn't sure why it happened. However the PayPal email and his real life name matched (which was censored out). I went ahead and responded and asked him to remove the dispute. He disappeared for a couple of days, which I hadn't heard from him until Thursday November 19, 2020 to which he responded that he will do everything to get the money to me, including an additional $100 to make it $700. However, he stated that he was recently kicked out by his parents. As of today he has deactivated both his twitter and FA account and seems to be disappearing into the void. While I can understand his situation, it does not mean they should retract payments that were made after work was completed and delivered. Especially that much work that I spent hours completing and even made a priority to finish. I provided a service that they paid for prior to any of these events occurring. I have went forward with the dispute to try and get the money returned to me by PayPal, but it may take up to 30 days. This is a warning to those that may work with this individual (StarBlazer/GamerGalaxy2013/KlalWuf ) in the future.

So this person recently commissioned me to design a fursona on a base they provided. I have never taken a commission before and accepted. I colored it in and asked them what they thought, made a few edits and showed it to them. They insisted paying me $30 which I was okay with. They then said they sent the payment and I never received anything. I later found that they posted it on FA claiming they colored it themselves. I left a comment on both accounts and am now blocked on both.

Hello! This is my first time posting one of these, so I hope it was done correctly. August 2020: Commissioner came by my stream and asked for a commission. A link to my TOS and email was provided in the chat, and in the email I was given references for the first character, and later began drawing said character. Later 1: The commissioner came by my stream later on, and was asking me if I ever did free sketches in a whisper. I said yes, sometimes, and then was asked to quit drawing a commission I was already drawing on, and to provide them with a free sketch. I politely declined, and said I had to focus on commissions that have been waiting longer, and that besides, they were getting a commission from me, so they were going to get some art from me in the future anyway. The way it was asked came across as a bit too forward and rude to me, but I just brushed it away thinking that was the way they spoke. Later 2: Commissioner then came back to my stream when I had started on their commission, and became very upset because I was drawing the wrong character. It turned out there had been a mistake on their part, and that they thought they had told me to switch, which had never happened. I was sympathetic and willing to be flexible as they seemed very upset, and they told me they would add an extra 100$ for my troubles and the issue was very quickly resolved in the stream without any drama, and new character references was provided in stream. 8th November 2020: Commissioner later came in another stream, and I was sketching their commission. They became upset again as I was not drawing their character unrealistic enough. I explained that is not my style, and that I draw realistic anatomy. I also referred to my TOS where it says that "I will draw realistic anatomy and genitalia to a size/shape I see fit, and that this is not debateable." After some back and forth (the commissioner came across as a bit rude, but I figured they were upset and emotional, so I let it pass) I decided to tweak the anatomy to try and save the client relationship I had, and because I want my customers happy. It was a lot more extreme anatomy than I usually do, but was willing to comply. If the commissioner did not like the tweaks, we could end the commission there and go our separate ways. The commissioner agreed on the changes and seemed happy, and the commission was continued on as normal. 13th November 2020: On the last stream, the commissioner decided to cancel. I said ok, and that they needed to pay 25% of the work done so far. In my TOS I have written that if the commissioner decides to cancel on a WIP, I hold the right to upload it as a YCH and then if the auction meets the agreed upon price, they only have to pay 25% of the time spent so far. If it doesn't, it is 50%, no matter how far into the process it's been to avoid arguments. I figured that uploading it as a YCH would not meet the agreed upon price as most of my followers don't have human characters, and was willing to then just get paid 25%, instead of the possibility of the commissioner having to pay 50%. They refused to pay this due to several reasons: - Not agreeing with a signature that they had read and agreed to my TOS - That I had not drawn their OC's because the anatomy in my style was too realistic and therefore was not entitled to anything as I had not provided a service - That I had not read their commission terms (which was never provided or given by the commissioner, and is something I have not come across in 10 years of freelance) I lost a few messages here, but the commissioner thought I would upload it finished with their character and sell it to someone else, so there was so unclarity and confusion, which is why I explained it further. This is the commission with the two characters that I did, and the references that I used to translate the character into my style.

August 25, 2018 I commissioned Blix/Fuzzworks for a custom dildo of my design. I paid them $100 to start it; $70 for a 3D computer model and $30 for the clay. They paid another artist the $70 to throw together the 3D model of the dildo. I never received those files. He quickly started to 3D print the dildo. Then he started sanding and priming it for dipping in a mold maker. He told me on September 19, 2018 that he'll need another payment installation to buy the silicones. I told him "okay". Then he offered me a business proposition with my design. The last I heard anything from him was February 11, 2019. I know he is active. He is producing fursuits. My buddy is waiting on eye molds from him, and he spoke with them on telegram. September 7, 2020, I asked if I could just have the sculpt he made. I can find someone else to finish it. I just don't want him having my design in his possession. I'm getting worried that he's going to sell my design. That really upsets me. I worked hard on that design.

On July 20th, 2018 I requested a commission from Psy101 on Furaffinity. The artist asked for up-front payment($80 USD), which normally I'd be cautious about, but the artist came at the recommendation of a friend so I had reason to "trust" a bit more. Since that time, Psy101 has ignored all future attempts at communication on FA through notes asking for a status update or if/when it'll be worked on. Each time, FA's Read Receipt feature showed he had indeed read / opened the notes I've sent him. Furthermore, Psy101 would go on to continue to take on new commissions, do gift art, and commission other artists routinely. There are over 50 uploads on the artists gallery in the last 3 months alone, of a varying degree of personal projects, gift art, and commissions both done-for-others and received-themself. (I'd like to say I'm patient, especially with regards to if a refund is needed and if an artist doesn't have the money on hand to at least show some faith in *working* to get a refund at some point. In this case it seems money is not an issue with Psy101 as they're continuing to commission other artists while not responding to any note I've sent) Image descriptions (minorly edited some NSFW details out to keep post SFW; if that's alright?): AB1 - Initial note & idea, responded by Psy101 asking for a little more information, and myself replying (admittedly vaguely, blech) July 20th, 2018 AB2 - Psy101 reply to AB1 stating an invoice was sent, and myself replying it was paid. July 20th, 2018 AB3 - First attempt at contact on March 1st, 2020, more than a year later. My patience to wait was wearing a little thin and I just wanted to see if I'd been forgotten. AB4 - Oct. 23rd, 2020, yesterday. I asked him for another update or if I should just take it here to AB since I didn't know what else to do at being routinely ignored Psy101 Invoice - Edited -- Paypal invoice, edited to remove identifying details (I think I got 'em all?) Readreceipts - My FA note Outbox showing the two times I asked for an update (AB3 & 4) have been opened/read by Psy101. (Normally there is a yellow "Letter Icon" until a note is opened/read) (First post, sorry if I did something wrong.)

Hey guys. This is my first time writing a beware, so I hope I did everything correctly. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/0KOcf6w.png I contacted phvtes (now gobuwin) on DeviantArt on 9/16/19 with my information to get a pixel tag slot from the emergency commissions they were having. They replied 2 days later to accept the commission and said they would have a WIP done the same day or next at the latest. I let them know after I sent the payment. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/IF4So9m.png Things started to take a turn for the worse at this time. After not hearing from them with the WIP, I messaged on 10/8/19. I didn't receive a response. I messaged again on 10/16/19. I didn't receive a response until 10/20/19 when they sent a group apology to all of the people that had commissioned them that were also waiting for a response. I replied, a bit frustrated at the lack of communication after their tablet broke, but we agreed on continuing the transaction under the condition that it would not happen again. They cited mental health problems and offered a free painted headshot for the trouble, which I also never received. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/JKI7u7f.png I received the first WIP on 11/1/19 and replied with a request for a small edit on her ears. I received another WIP on 11/7/19 that was further along. Everything looked great. Unfortunately, this is the last WIP I ever received. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/UkLFc0T.png From here on out, none of the notes I sent were read or replied to. I asked for the status of my commission again on 11/24/19 and finally on 12/2/19. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/KRrjDvF.png Unfortunately, as I made the mistake of sending as "friends and family" on Paypal, I was unable to file a chargeback. Instead, I was forced to go through my credit card company to receive a refund. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/Qd3pnpa.png

Being nice, I told her i could wait until she got payed, and she told me she would pay me on Wednesday of December 26 2012. When that day came by and I had posted her Commission, she told me she would pay me that day when her money was transfered into the bank. I waited, and I have not seen that Payment yet, and everey time I have sent her a Note asking why she has not payed, i have not recieved a response and when I said something about it on her Shouts, she deleted the Comment, as well as the comment I made on a journal she creadted saying that she was not going to pay anyone before they made the Commission (found here http://juniperberri.deviantart.com/journal/#/d5ogmrx ) EDIT: Made a Screenshot of Juniperberri's "ugh" Journal just in case.>> http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7751/juniperberrisughjournal.png EDIT 1-12-15: So its been a while since the last update for this. I happened to log in today to find a notification saying that Juniperberri(however they have changed their name to SainteCiel ) has uploaded the unpaid art piece! Funny that they actually credited me as the artist, I probably wouldn't have found out otherwise. Even so, if it is not removed (as I have kindly asked them to do) I will report them to the DA Staff and hopefully they will take it down for me. Screenshot of the re-upload: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/jd76hegfirbyu72/Monarch%20reupload.png?dl=0 So far it looks like they have denied the knowledge of not paying for the Commission. New Edit: I'll let the screenshot explain itself, but they did remove the submission. However, they have not made any indication that they were going to pay for it. I'd also like to apologize for my horrible wording ,grammar ,i am not very good at it despite me being english . I'm a patient person when it comes to waiting for artwork from artists as i know how long these things can take so i tend not to pester the artist for a while but after hearing nothing from this artist for so many months when most at least update me saying there will be a delay or giving me a status of the commission ,i started to worry so began to contact the artist for more information.I was glad to see that they where active and replied so fast to my notes and was hoping that they would finally be done with the commission but alas that never happened.I can understand that this artist has been away due to life but i would of just liked them to have noted me saying "I'm sorry but i cannot continue your commission because ____ ,I will have it done by this date" or refunding me when i asked them.Red-flags where raised the more replies i got ,the first being when they forgot about me ,second being when they said they had other people asking about commissions, third being that they can't refund me ,fourth being no replies or updates when they said it was nearly done .I did do things wrong ,leaving it so late to contact them and then some of my notes seem harsh? and I am sorry for that and now know better but i'm at a loss on what to do,I really wish i didn't have to put this beware up .There are comments on her page by others asking for their commissions ,some have been hidden now ,should i contact those commissioners and see if they are having the same issues as me? this has made me very wary to commission any artist and since i commissioned eellie i have not commissioned anyone since. Please help me try and fix this so it can be resolved ? 😞

Dec. 19th, 2012 at 7:47 PM ritz_bitz25 WHO: I am an artist that goes by Ritz_Bitz on FA. I was commissioned by Touya_Vulpes on FA. WHERE: During my livestream art session. WHAT: I was livestreaming $10 shaded headshots done traditionally. People could have them laminated and mailed for $1 more. He was the first to order and got his art that night. 2 days later, on December 5th, I recieved an email that the funds were on hold and I needed to take action in the resolution center. I responded saying "He got his art that night, its intangible goods but he has the file already so I cannot offer a refund". Today, the 19th, I got an email saying the payment was reversed and given back to him. Turns out I'm not covered as a seller of goods unless the item is shipped, so he was able to make a claim he never recieved it and I lost my case because I couldn't ship this intangible good. WHEN: Livestream took place on December 3rd and he recieved his art the same night. PROOF: EXPLAIN: When the hold was placed, I was confused but figured something wasnt verified with his account or such. I didn't contact him at this point, I answered the case in the resolution center and waited. Today I got an email that the payment was reversed, and I saw that the $10 had been sent back to him from my account. Upset and irritated, I noted him about it and he said "Oh I've been having issues with paypal for the past couple weeks. I don't know what it is." I told him he needed to resend the money or I was gonna delete the art and go through paypal for a resolution. He acted slightly irritated, saying "*sigh* fine just delete the art". I already completed the work, so obviously I wanted to be paid for it. I called paypal and spoke with their customer service. It turns out he filed the claim that he never got what he paid for, and I had no defense with it being 'intangible goods' that I did not ship. This is why I lost the case. I DID get my money back, however I am extremely displeased with the way the commissioner acted, trying to get his money AND have the art. He has been blacklisted now and I have changed my commission policy to having all the work I do shipped out so I can protect myself. EDIT: this commissioner is now suspended from FA for doing this to a countless number of artists within the same 2 week span. he is APPARENTLY working with paypal as of dec 30 but stopped replying to all comments/emails after that, so who knows. It's official though: I'm no the only one this same thing has happened to.

Dec. 15th, 2012 at 12:06 AM gishkishenh WHO: Legal Name: [censored] Alias: "Beth Brookins", "Ravynwolf", "Southpaw art" Business name: Advanced Deployment WHERE: Dominantly via e-mail and facebook. On-line website: http://www.advanceddeployment.com/ WHAT: Laser cutting services in wood and acrylics. WHEN: Oct 12- Present PROOF: Please see Explanation for full proof. LONG list of e-mails and correspondences. Please see below, Paypal payment on Nov 19th: EXPLAIN: Earliest contact was Jul 8th. I had been inquiring about her Laser services for some time [cost, etc]. I had 2 items done up in August 27th, and told her to open a tab for me [I foresaw more on the way]. Oct12- Nov5 : Everything goes smoothly. Our correspondences contain the usual me sending designs, her cutting them and sending me previews. After I collected the pre-orders, I had sent her an e-mail in regard to how fast we could get the entire sum cut. I was keeping in mind the fact that her schedule would become hectic from Black Friday and onwards. I kept this in account, because I didn't want to stress her out [I know the feeling] and suggested a good compromise; I'd get all the work to her in time for her to cut it all up, and give her 1 week so that she could prepare for the Black Friday [I can post all this correspondence, but it really doesn't imply any wrong doings, and it's 20 e-mails of just us talking technical. If need be, I can easily post it]. Here are the links to the pre-order posts I made with HER photos [so this prooves these thigns were actually made]: Nov 3rd: http://fav.me/d5jwygj Nov 5th: http://fav.me/d5k8wmw Nov 5th: http://fav.me/d5k8xj9 Now this is where things began to become sketchy. On Nov 12-14, we are simply working out the details of the bill- counting cuts etc. It's all good, no conflicts, things are a-ok. A week later, I get billed. Nov 19. I even inquire that she included ALL the previous cuts [when she opened my tab]. I paid the same day, and awaited the package. [Same link as Proof]: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a23/Gishkishenh/Artist Beware/proof_zpsf9d35a28.jpg A week later, I had arrived home [I was tending to my sister, so left town for a week] and no sign of the package. On Nov 27th, I sent her the following e-mail, and her response above: 2 days pass, and on Nov 29th, since I hadn't heard a thing from her, I emailed her wondering if there was any movement on the situation... her response above: A little while later, this was the e-mail I got, and my responce: This is where ALL contact stops. Days go by, and on the 4th of Dec I sent her a little reminder: No answer. I waited 2 days [Dec 6th], and sent her another e-mail: Still no word. Now, I'm wondering what is going on. I feared that maybe she had an accident, so I go to facebook to see if she posted anything [we friended one another there]. When I did, I found that I was un-friended, and she had been active on the days I had sent her my e-mails [I can post pics of this, but Facebooks is a little more personal, so I don't know if that oversteps boundaries?] I sent her one last e-mail: Now I was a little upset. The package was overdue by 2 weeks. I live in Vancouver BC, she in Bellingham WA... normally, a week would have sufficed. 2 weeks, if it was considered "international" air mail [even thought we are so close]. I had also been waiting on this package for a seasonal convention that I could sell the merchandise in order to get seasonal funds for myself. The package never came until this day. She did not even contact me, until this day. I opened a Paypal Item Dispute on Dec 11: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a23/Gishkishenh/Artist Beware/paypalclaim_zps64bf62f2.jpg Still no answer from her. No movement. My ultimate fear is that this entire ordeal was to trick me for the vector designs of my art. Last year, she had contacted me in regards to selling a similar content and product, and asked me if I would like to contribute the same design content [North West Pacific First Nations style art]. I'll be updating with the Paypal Claim judgements, and any other movements on the subject. If she responds to me [finally] or not. EDIT On Friday Dec 14th, I had received the package. nearly a month after it was supposed to be sent, the date on the package reads "Nov 28th" as the shipping date [pics to come]. So my conclusion was that after the Nov 27th e-mail exchange where she lied about the stepped-on receipt... she put the package into the mail the following day. Rather than come clean about forgotten the package [which would have been a-ok with me- I KNEW she had a hectic Black Friday], she opted to lie and disconnected any communication from me. To this day I still have had no contact from her.

It seemed like she was working on it a month after noting her, with head progress being made in July 2011. A few months go by with no real updates; just a few IMs here and there. I wanted this fursuit to be done near the end of September 2011 because I was going to a furcon in California and Onai's agreed to have it done by then. (Sorry, I don't have proof since I've lost all my older Skype logs between her and I.) End of September comes by and the fursuit wasn't completed in time. No problem, I suppose, I can wait a few more months, I guess. A few more months go by and Onai's uploaded another image of my fursuit. It looks like she's making some more progress in my fursuit, can't wait to get it! Another month goes by and another upload of my fursuit head! A few more months go by and I am becoming anxious if or when my fursuit will be finished. I message her here and there and so does my mate, asking when it'd be finished or how's progress so far. She typically says it's doing well or she'd have some real life issues and pushes back the fursuit progress. More months go by and still no progress. I am now getting even more worried and anxious. I left a shout on her page--which she quickly removed and messaged me on Skype--and now all I hear from her and see are excuses of pity and stories about personal life instead of any information about my fursuit I had commissioned. At this point, I am quite upset by all of this, to the point that I only want a refund, not the finished product. I would be satisfied and move on with close to a full refund, if not a full refund of the $1250 I gave to her ontop of shipping costs of sending two DTDs. I don't think that I would enjoy actually receiving the fursuit anymore at this point, simply because of all the disappointment that I would associate with it, wanting it for so long, and only seeing progress and updates of others while mine remained in the shadows, ignored and forgotten, much like how I have felt.

JUST HUMANS with no detailed background.Proof of Purchase: PAYPAL:Explanation of Situation: Note: I am not accusing PC of being a scam-artist, but some serious business standards need to be reinstated and adhered to by this artist as clients like myself are getting very upset about her current practices. This needs to be addressed.I did my research before even making my purchase with her and thought it was a safe bet. The issue here is communication/miscommunication/missed deadline/turnarounds and ridiculously slow response times, etc. Many times over I had almost suspected she had taken my money and run, but then weeks later, I'd get a response apologizing for another ridiculously long wait of weeks or even months between letters.I'm still waiting on my finished piece long past the original deadline of June 15th, 2012 though. Here's how this has gone:I had been watching Pirate-Cashoo on Deviant art for some time when I noticed she FINALLY opened up her commissions. HERE IS THE DA JOURNAL I RESPONDED TO: http://fav.me/d4zcncw She states here: “These will be done within the month/by June 15th. Or if you have a particular deadline, let me know! Depending on the complexity, one commission can take up to 3 days total to finish. I'm really trying to push myself as an artist with these.” I got a reply back that day (May 11th) with the estimate ($150) and where to send the paypal money. She said I could pay half now and the other half after I got the sketch, which is what I did. The sketch came May 26th and following it, I paid her the rest (SAME DAY): $75.00. I am listing below how things went after that. I have documented them here though often her replies were so huge that I truncated some of them in the screenshots. She has also been taking MORE commissions every few weeks/months since I ordered mine. First ETA: MAY 11 “You'll receive a preliminary sketch within the next 7 days or so to look over before I hop into it.” SKETCH RECEIVED: MAY 26. (2 weeks) No reply after I approved the sketch.NEXT MESSAGE SENT: Jun 12 No reply. I wrote again JUL 25:PROOF: “I am writing you because it's been over 2 months since I've heard anything from you and I wanted to know if you could just give me an update on my commission. I don't mean to bother you, but I sent you the payment in FULL already 2 months ago back when you showed me the sketch, and I haven't heard a thing since. (If you need the paypal Invoice #'s just ask) I am not upset about the time frame, I just feel that as a paying client, I should at least be kept in the loop about what I paid for.” REPLY: JULY 25 “Ohh my goodness, I'm so sorry! I was in the middle of the lineart, but I was thinking about partially redoing the sketch, because it's got some serious anatomical issues, and I've improved my anatomy since then.” and a big story about all sorts of “troubles....” she’s having. SECOND ETA: “I should be getting to yours within the next week or so. I hope you understand.” (AS OF JULY 25) NEW INQUIRY: SEPT 3: PROOF: “I was wondering, Have you been able to make any additional progress on my piece yet? Last time I heard from you was July 25th - so, it's been over a month and I've not heard anything still.... You had mentioned getting to it in a week or so, but I've not gotten any updates since then.” REPLY FROM CASHOO: SEPT 8 Apologies, etc etc.... and “I'll be spending the next 2-3 days finishing up all sketches that haven't been done yet, which will include yours. I've redone yours a couple times and tossed them, but I think I've decided on what I'd really like this time!” “...But I'll be finishing your commission within the next two weeks FOR SURE” SEPT 13: FROM CASHOO “Well, I just spent the last ten minutes bawling my eyes out. I just...I just shut my computer down for the night, and apparently I didn't save. I...I don't know why my program didn't ask to save before I closed it. I seriously cannot believe it. It was so good, too... great pose and composition and everything. I.... seriously, seriously can't believe it. Oh my goodness...” Accidents happen, I get that, too. SEPT 15 I get a new sketch. NOTE: only a sketch. No more replies after I approved the sketch. NEW INQUIRY: OCT 2Proof:"Hello again Umm, didn't want to bother you, but any progress on my piece? Were you able to adjust the sketch? I know you mentioned the piece would be done within 2 weeks "for sure" but this was over 2 weeks ago... I didn't want to have to bug you, but I keep seeing new sketches on your tumblr... so... I'm sort of wondering where the heck mine went.” REPLY from CASHOO:OCT 3I GET MY NEW SKETCH. *yay*. I APPROVE. OCT 17: I GET THE FINAL LINEART AND A REPLY.PROOF:REPLY FROM CASHOO: “I have one commission in which its deadline is the 20th, and it's got a full background and everything, so I unfortunately have to work on that today. BUT, I'll definitely finish yours within the next 7 days or so...the hardest/longest parts are over, and the coloring is simply smooth sailing from here~” No reply. INQUIRY 1: NOVEMBER 8 “ I know you're busy but it's been a few weeks since you wrote me and you'd mentioned a while back... 7 days... but it's been 3 weeks now again. Any progress by chance? I noticed you opened more commissions for xmas, but please be sure to get mine done before you do those since I've been waiting since April/May and it doesn't seem fair that I would have to wait until after xmas.”No reply. INQUIRY 2: NOVEMBER 15th “Hey there, I haven't gotten a reply, so I'm writing again... apparently my messages are getting lost in your mounds of email I know you're busy but it's been a few weeks since you wrote me and you'd mentioned a while back... 7 days (or so)... OK, I get it - 1 week, 2 week, 3 weeks.... but it's been 4 weeks again and not so much as a reply or an (I'll be late again note) or ANYTHING....&rdquo etc. INQUIRY 3: NOVEMBER: 19th PARTIAL LETTER: “If you can't finish it for whatever reason or aren't inspired, or just don't want to - than by all means please tell me that or give me a partial refund or something. Otherwise, I just really want some honesty, that's all. I am a paying "customer" nonetheless and I have the right to know where my product is regardless of the circumstances and I seriously don't think that it is NOT reasonable for any client to INQUIRE about their product they purchased 7+ months after payment, and 4 WEEKS after an estimated delivery time. I saw on your FA even that you said in ref to that other person waiting months : "And, like some other freelance artists out there, a long wait time (about 4+ months, I consider) is guaranteed more effort and detail put into the final product. And if it's been an abnormally long wait time (7-8 months and beyond), there's a 50% discount on whatever next commission the customer gets, even free if the customer is thoroughly displeased." I'm sorry to be so concerned but we're going on 8 months almost here... You said it yourself: abnormally long wait time. And then, you gave me another eta over a month ago and no reply since. I mean, I think you can understand why I am still very concerned here... I can still wait if you just asked me to, but I don't appreciate being given deadlines that aren't kept or that I am not even told about changing, etc.”NEW REPLY AS OF NOV 19th:This was AFTER my post to AB. Unsure if it was provoked by this or not...(note: I truncated this a little because there were a bunch more personal family "issues" in there). I didn't think needed to be posted here. Also, she states that she doesn't know why so many people are getting upset with her about turnaround times. It's not just the turnaround times - it's also the money and the fact that we get deadlines that aren't kept, no replies, etc etc.NEW REPLY: NOV 22.It's very long, so I will summarize. I just got a new and lengthy letter from PC and although it seems to be thoughtful and kind, I am still empty-handed here. I am a little relieved that she has finally apologized for being terrible at keeping deadlines and "estimates" for turnaround times, but the message contained no further details or wips about my commission either, nor did it mention anything else about when I might get it. I appreciate some of her honesty, here. She is very upset about the whole AB drama, but I have tried to assure her that, despite her suspicions , we are not trying to "ruin her business". (this is what she has told me she is suspecting of AB). She's trying to sound nice about this whole thing and so am I, but niceness doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere and I still don't have any additional wips.IMPORTANT UPDATE: NOV 23. I sent PC a letter with some advice and bullet points on how I think she could improve her commission process (because it’s not nice to just say someone’s doing something wrong and not tell them how to fix it). I have finally gotten a colored draft and an honest explaination of how she works and how she runs business - basically deadlines are only kept if the client demands a deadline and all other pieces are worked on when she gets to them. Understood, but I thought I had been given several deadline/etas, but I guess not. So I am starting to believe that alot of these issues are from miscommunication and not keeping estimated turnarounds, etc. I am finally relieved to know that she's still working on my piece and that I haven't been forgotten. She also told me a lot of things about her work ethics and schedules that opened my eyes to why these are all taking forever (much of it is still not good business practice, but at least I have an explaination now). Much of this is also just miscommunication. I feel a LOT BETTER now knowing all of this, and I wish she’d tell all of her clients the same thing.... Partial letter: “A lot of the problems you've addressed that I've run into are due to sudden changes within this year from my previous years in this line of work. For example, in all of my years of doing this business, I've never had problems or concerns with 4-6+ months of waiting with little contact and no WIPs. Only earlier this year did I start regularly sending WIPs to clients, because I thought it would be a fun idea to do so. Before then, though, the client would pay for the commission, wait a few months, and then receive a message with the completed commission. And it worked out wonderfully, without fail...until these last few months. And it's weird, I'm not sure what exactly has made the change, but ohhh well~But...obviously, if I want to continue with this commission business, I have to adapt to my environment in order to be successful with it.Also, I always try to make sure to mention either publicly or to each inquiring customer that they don't have to pay all upfront (most I have are half upfront, and half after completion), and that they can choose a reasonable deadline if they so desire. Those who give me definitive deadlines get their commissions done on time. Otherwise, I assume they don't mind, and I try to mention that beforehand. I have forgotten on occasion, but for the most part I mention deadlines for sure.Oh! And setbacks can indeed set me back 4-6 months, as I illustrated in my last note to you...I hope that made sense! A commission of your type typically takes about 7 days to complete alone. With a queue of only 15 commissions of the same type already ahead of it in line is about a 4 month wait minimum until the commission is even started. I had about 20, and some of them had three characters and some had detailed backgrounds, which adds a few days to those commissions (typically). The thing that's really killed me is that I've been forced to take more commissions, because my consistent slew of bills can't be met entirely with my commissions, which take too long to complete to keep up with the bills. It's this self-defeating death cycle, and I've dug myself into this hole as a result...Sadly though, I wasn't aware of how inaccurate my estimated turnaround time was when I took your commission until I started improving my skill and putting more detail into my overall work...and shot myself in the foot in the long run.”

Nov. 6th, 2012 at 5:57 PM WHO: SoulEevee99 on Deviantart WHERE: http://souleevee99.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Stole an icon template from me and has been altering and selling on DeviantArt for DA points. WHEN: Just discovered today, apparently they started October 13th of this year PROOF: Their journal entry asking for commissions with icons (Screencap in case of deletion) Original icons by me on my FurAffinity Overlay showing trace EXPLAIN: LATEST UPDATE: Followed onto FA and sent more harassing notes from Grovyle I do a lot of commissions on Chicken Smoothie, a virtual pet game. I began selling "dango icons" like the ones linked to my FurAffinity on the Proof section in October of 2010 for collectible pets on CS (Link to thread. Date is off since I edited the post, but according to my records I started selling them in October.) I stopped selling them last year in favor of new products. While browsing around the art shops on CS, I found SoulEevee99's art commission thread, which linked to the DA journal above full of stolen icons that were paid for in DA Points. A lot of their friends are using these icons not knowing they paid for stolen material. I confronted the artist and not only did they deny their theft, their SO is threatening to report me for harassment. The comment thread is capped here, I am Rainbow-Smashed. (The replies occurred while I was typing this post) I admit my initial post was rather threatening, I should have been more polite and I fully acknowledge my tone was harsh. This is the first time I've had my art sold and I'm pretty upset. Even though it may be for DA points and not real money, it's still disappointing. I have filed reports both on Chicken Smoothie and DeviantArt. Their art commission thread on CS has been locked but I have yet to hear back from DA. The SO and the artist continue to deny their theft and I've ceased communication after my last reply with sources. I will let DA handle it and hope they rule in my favor. UPDATES POST-APPROVAL: So this is more recent events that have occurred since before this entry got approved. It's been a wacky whirlwind lemme tell ya. The thief's friends jumped on me for trying to get my work taken down and defended their friend. Even with SoulEevee's friends trying to pick fights with me, I ignored them and decided to wait until DA's ruling. DA got back to me on my report and told me to file a DMCA due to "complications in the case." (I'm assuming the complication is that I use different usernames in different places but it beats me tbh.) I sent in a DMCA takedown notice to their violations department on November 7th. As of this entry's approval and this edit (November 11th) the stolen art remains up and the thief has hidden comments from me, their friends defending SoulEevee, and a friend of mine trying to convince the thief's SO that my work was indeed stolen. All that's left is comments in Czech that I don't understand. I foolishly did not cap all the comments. But they did decide to put up this journal yelling at people and vaguely discussing my accusations. At this point all I can do is sigh and hope DA complies with my takedown notice. EDITS (NOVEMBER 12th, 2011): SoulEevee has decided to harass me not only on DA but Chicken Smoothie as well. DA Comments (link to thread. It's on my page and I will not be hiding these.) DA Note Chicken Smoothie post They have also provided a blog post to try and prove that I am a thief. Blog post dates can be altered and the "stolen icon" is really a painted over version of Wildstorm's icon on Chicken Smoothie. Blog post (with original icon) Post with Wildstorm's icon Overlay Image data of "original" icon proves it was made on November 12th, 2012, not 2009. (Big big thank you to !) Sora-kun is not only my furry name but my FurAffinity page, active since 2006. I am slightly disturbed by the coincidence. They also made this journal post and linked me to it on my profile comments to further harass me. I have reported this user for harassment on Chicken Smoothie and DA and have asked them to leave me alone, a request they have not complied with as they and their boyfriend, Grovyle, keep trying to pick a fight with me and continue to smear me on their own pages. As of November 13th, I have ceased communication with both Grovyle (the boyfriend) and SoulEevee. NOVEMBER 14TH UPDATE: Even after my request to stop using my stolen template, SoulEevee has still been using it. SoulEevee, using Grovyle as a messenger, is now claiming a third party gave them the icons, claimed the work as their own, and gave SoulEevee permission to use them. Since SoulEevee has yet to provide a name for this third party (which I would expect they would offer up as soon as they were caught) I strongly believe this is also another lie to try and avoid taking responsibility for their actions. My DMCA notice on DA hasn't gone through (all icons are still there) or have been replied to. My ticket on Chicken Smoothie has been picked up and I am working with Chicken Smoothie staff to build a harassment case. I'm fairly certain they can't do anything about the offsite harassment but I included that in my ticket (as well as this AB) to give background as to how deep this goes. UPDATE 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: My harassment ticket was responded to. I was told to simply block SoulEevee when it seems like Grovyle is doing the harassment. Grovyle has started not only sending me messages, but has been harassing another member of this comm as well as leaving messages with their friends on FA. To top it all off, I got the passive aggressive non-apology to end all passive aggressive non-apologies (comment thread on DA.) This is just salt in the wounds and my nerves are already very VERY frayed. I've said my piece and blocked them. I will block them on any other accounts they try to contact me with. I'm beyond fed up. To all who are getting harassing messages from Grovyle; please report them and accept my deepest apologies for their behavior. NOVEMBER 15TH: DeviantART has denied my DMCA takedown notice. A lawsuit isn't worth it at all (due to international problems) so I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding DA's denial of my DMCA. NOVEMBER 18TH: Grovyle has sent me three notes on FA. Not only that, they started watching me! Note 1 Note 2 Note 3 (Links to this. Dead link.)
