About Me

  1. I get that some people use tracing as a crutch to get themselves started, but it's not a helpful crutch. There are some very glaring and painful anatomy issues there that carry over into the traced piece, underscoring the fact that in tracing artwork from others, the tracing artist really only learns bad habits. I'm sorry that you came to find out after the fact that the artist you commissioned traced the piece that you purchased from them.
  2. Feb. 10th, 2012 at 2:36 AM alex_dachshund I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/ I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried. I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs. WHO: Sciggles WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any. I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted. I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could. Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd) Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th) After a while, some time had passed. I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st) She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update. Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally. Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd) Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions: Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st) I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art: E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd) The e-mail has NOT been responded to. After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her: Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th) EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg I am just really unsure what to do at this point. She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices. I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet. EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg My reply: http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg I replied, and she sent me this nasty snarky e-mail afterwards: http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg My reply: http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them. EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there. I consider the matter resolved. http://oi42.tinypic.com/1567rlu.jpg I have also Unwatched and blocked the artist. Will never do business with her again. VERY annoyed customer. I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.

I didn't like the idea of a refund especially since she just took MORE commissions just to eat that day so I offered that if she could not find them that they be replaced. This was agreed upon. 4. screaminsiren (screaminsiren) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2018-11-27 11:13 Foxiful/ Laseros After waiting and waiting I have yet to receive any kind of payment or notification from her. WHERE: DA https://www.deviantart.com/laseros FA https://www.furaffinity.net/user/laseros/ WHAT: Digital Art WHEN: July, 30,2017 to Ongoing EXPLAIN: Alright so to start this was a wonderfully normal interaction between an artist and commissoner that desperately needed help. Hearing from a friend this person needed it I decided to do so and here are those interactions. https://sta.sh/21sj3oko36j0?edit=1 See? Normal. Now this is when it starts to get bad. I noted her after waiting till Jan of 2018 seeing I had heard nothing from her not even WIP's Then again in Mar seen below https://sta.sh/01lchc0oot1w This was never responded to. Now, carrying on I started noticing journals going out. Now, I understand crap happens and all but it became more strange when I kept seeing more and heard absolutely nothing about my commissioned piece back in July. I bought another piece in a small emergency journal https://sta.sh/21u1znxuq0b?edit=1 Not a problem! Was done live stream and everything! Ok! Awesome so waiting a bit longer I noticed more journals as seen below. https://sta.sh/21rdlvl91hrq?edit=1 https://sta.sh/01h6279lkmev So, waiting a bit longer I was finally added to her discord group and therefore was able to get in contact with her via the messenger https://sta.sh/21ypoz22u92p?edit=1 ( Read more... ) Here became a slow progression of feeling overwhelmed with having to gently ask what is going on every now and then. Finally after waiting for a long time with no response I officially gave her an apology and asked for a refund if not a partial as seen in the proof above After waiting and waiting I have yet to recieve any kind of payment or notification from her. This is still an ongoing problem.
  5. You're way outside the chargeback window; you were outside of it when you sent the email in December, actually. But you could have opened a paypal dispute without writing out an AB, and I wish you had. Unfortunately, short of going through your bank or your credit card company, you're probably not gonna see your money, which is horrible. I agree with contacting FC to let them know about this, I despise when cons don't protect their attendees, so hopefully they do something.
  6. Did an icon commission from him a few months back. Similar experience to what you’ve outlined. Made my payment, week later and “my thumb drive got completely wiped”. A month later was radio silence, at this point I had emailed him directly. I finally reached out to him on fA and he tells me that he never received any messages on it and my paypal dispute was “blindsiding” him.

Customer will be refunded money via envelope snail mail (per request), and also commission will be provided free of charge. My cat got sick after the con and nearly cost me $1k, so I had to work overtime at my normal job to cover the cost of his treatment. It put a hinderence on my organization of my commissions as well as my time being able to do them. I keep a physical ledger as well as a digital one of my commissions, and had mistakenly crossed this one out and marked it as shipped (mixed up with another one, as shown in the logs) my mistake, and it will be rectified soon enough. I didnt respond to the customer promptly as I was away for a week when she messaged me this past time.

    Beware: Kircai

That's enough. You have a refund, and this is being locked as there are no more productive things to be said. All that's happening are potshots at each other, and that's not what we are here for. Edit: I also want to stress that the artist is within their rights to refund you. He didn't claim that you threatened with a chargeback. He said that he felt you were the type of client who might do so when they aren't getting their way. This is his way of washing his hands of this transaction, and at this point you need to leave him alone from here on out. He's established a boundary, and it's time to respect it. Also, he's within his rights to repurpose art as he sees fit. You don't own it. This transaction is resolved, because the artist has chosen to resolve it. Please understand that if you continue to poke and prod at him when he's already made it clear that he wants this to be over and done with that you risk the artists who read this not wanting to work with you in the future.
  9. I dont think this is at all resolved, becuase after i told Kircai that i did NOT want a refund, but everyone was telling me to get one (and he himself said both in private and in this very thread i could ask for one at any time), so after i said that everyone was telling me to get a refund he jsut sent one, and has now posted this: I 'threatened' a chargeback? I told out outright i DIDNT WANT A REFUND, and then you follow this up with: You literally sent the money back for the SOLE PURPOSE of playing victim, after i told you I DID NOT WANT A REFUND.
  10. Back in March 2016 i commissoned Mitha for a full digitigrade lynx fursuit. I paid 50% upfront, 1250$ with paypal. Suit should be finished january 2017. I never wanted to post a beware like this and it took me about an year to make this decision but i don't want to waste more time on this person. I have always been polite, tried to be patient and helpfull to resolve this issue as you will see but i got nothing but worries, anger and lies! Mitha please just sent this money back i want to be done with this and you finally, get back to me again and stop running away from your mistakes! FA note about claiming the slot Payment poof I contacted her several times but didn’t get real updates for my suit, sadly i’m not able to provide the full conversations since this ist he only chat that is completly gone but i made a few screenshots at the time i got the messages because i was really excited about getting a fursuit. I asked about the timeframe to get my suit before and i sent secondlife screenshoots of the character design, i think,we talked from time to time but nothing related to my suit i asked about her jaw sculpting and showed her a suithead i build meanwhile. Before my paypal protection ended she messaged me to send my DTD including shoes i should buy for the feetpaws. I did and was waiting again until she noted me that she got my DTD, that it was well made and my body would be the next she is working on. A couple of weeks later she contacted me on FA, because of the pawpads and nose color of my suit, she said skype is not working, could have been around my birthday within the first 2 weeks of november because i had been on holiday at this time. After this i tried again to get in touch with her on skype but i got no reply. We decided to keep in touch in telegram from now. I asked about any updates, she told me she is sorry that she is slow with this an that she is behind, my suit would be finished 2-3 month later. I was ok with that at this time, early december 2016. Since she was answering i didn't worry about getting nothing... I asked again for updates in febuary 2017 without a reply, in march i asked again because she posted some stuff on Twitter, i might have gotten wrong, but i still didn‘t get any info about my suit. I started to get afraid to get nothing from her since she didn't reply and was posting this on twitter. After she told me pretty rough that i should contact her on twitter i noted in the end of april because she didn’t got back to me. Got no reply so i tried again in may with what i am thinking about all this and got a reply a couple of days later. She told me about the situation and agreed to a full refund on 04.05.217. This wasn't an easy thing to me i really liked her stuff and i don't wanted to get her in trouble i offerd a payment plan even. I was waiting abou 2 month without any contact, refund or info about the timeframe of the paymentplan i contacted her again first time without a reply, about a week later she answered. Her excuse was the gender thing on twitter she did. And there was no refund but silence again, i contacted her several time before i got a reply. I suggested a paymentplan again with rates and dates... Since she wasn't pretty activ on twitter during this time i asked her where to find her now. I was sending my bankstuff to her emailadress and several emails where i asked her about the refund but i didn't get a reply so i started to get back on her on twitter. Sadly i can't provide screenshots of this emails they are gone out of the sent objects because its too long ago ? For sure i didn't get emails on the other email adress too because she never send them ? She got back to me with excuses she had to make and save this money first, wait who was stating on twitter that is is always easy to refund 2k? Mitha! There was silence after this for 3 weeks, then she got back to me with blablabla excuses and of course she lost our whole conversation and memory about what happened before... Of course she wasn't able to show me a thing but wanted to send a refund again, but suprise she didn't and suddelny the paypal option was gone too. At this point i opened up a etsy shop with an offer for her to buyout to refund me but she ignored this option and me, i sent another message 5 days later and provided the info again but nothing happened. Weeks later she noted me she is able to do the banktransfer now and offerd a free mask to me but guess what, i got nothing xD She got back to me again with excuses, i offerd the esty thing again and got ignored, then i asked for the otter partial instead of money but it was gone. a few weeks later she announced that she is closing up her shop and that there will be no more premades. I worried about our agreement to choose one of the upcoming premades because she said she won't do premades anymore and asked her about. I explained why i wanted the partial instead of money and that i take money when there are no more partials available and she agreed again and wanted to get back to me when she is able to afford the refund. She really got back to me but again i got nothing ? After this i haven't heard from her until i commented below her actual IG posts where she was trying to sell a fullsuit and a head, she blocked me after our conversation in IG and i'm still waiting for my refund.
  11. I actually think the gender thing is possible. Wasn't this the suit maker who went on a rant on Twitter about there only being 2 genders? I have them blocked, so I'm assuming this is the case. Either way, it doesn't matter. They shouldn't have used the money if they hadn't started on the project - and if they bought the fur and other stuff already, they should have refunded what they had left, then paid back the rest. I will never understand artist using money that isn't technically theirs yet, unless they know 100% positive they are going to get the art out. Personally, if I was still doing art, I would NOT use the money until the project was done sans materials.
  12. Just want to point out that kircai has completely scrapped the entire commission and posted this to twitter: https://twitter.com/Kircai_Art/status/1081361530753564672 " Commissioner called their commission that I was damn proud of 'half-assed,' so screw 'em! " That is clearly in contradiction to what has been said in this very thread, and he has used the original commission to make his own art now.
  13. I could be interpreting this wrong, but it seems to me that the main crux of the issue was the last time they spoke (in 2016?) when the artist (kircai) told guba not to talk to them. What sounds like what happened is that guba wanted to be friends, and when Kircai denied that, guba took it as the inability to talk to the artist entirely. This sounds like confusion on the difference between a personal and a professional relationship. This seems to be a big problem in the fandom (or at least private art commissions in general). Artists want to seem nice and friendly for customer service, which confuses customers into thinking they're friends with the artist, so on and so forth until the difference between business transaction and personal communication becomes null. Of course I could be wrong on this since we don't have the original messages (nor am I asking for them). Just seems like an observation; Guba didn't feel comfortable asking Kircai for updates because Kircai lashed out last time (when Kircai felt their personal boundaries were crossed). Something both sides need to work on communicating effectively. The difference between personal and professional relationships is also something that the fandom as a whole needs to be more educated about in general, unfortunately. If guba had asked for updates on the commission using the correct channels, it's likely this whole transaction would've gone much differently. It's unfortunate that this misunderstanding occurred.

    Beware: Kircai

Ahh, so that's what you mean by filled out the form wrong. Contact should have been made with the client immediately when their written prompt didn't match the form. So this boils down to lack of communication and lengthy wait time, but a single char is what the client ordered.
  15. Let me clarify some things, i didnt 'reach out' because the last attempt to talk to you, you told me NOT to bug you and stated you didnt even have a reason. Next, a tweet is a public message, one for everyone to see, i tweeted at you BECAUSE of how you treated me before. Its very clear based on this very response where you literally state outright you based your opinion on what OTHERS said about me that you were unwilling to listen regardless of what i said, and by the way, I did apologize for making you feel rushed, YOU refused to accept it, and those tweets you are referencing came AFTER you refused to accept the apology and after you blocked me AND do not name you specifically, in fact outside of naming you as one of 3 artists who owed me art your name was never mentioned at all. I am not happy about this situation, but this behavior is just unacceptable in my opinion, i made every attempt to diffuse the situation peacefully, but you decided to just get mad at me and ignore the facts.
  16. Dec. 26th, 2011 at 1:19 PM poizenkat WHO: Shivra WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shivra WHAT: three derp badges http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ WHEN: October 9 2011 is when i paid PROOF: Sadly i deleted my notes and do not have where i stated exactly what i want, but i do have paypal screenshots here; http://i40.tinypic.com/24viaeg.png http://i43.tinypic.com/2a9ruk8.png EXPLAIN: I paid for one rainbow dash derp, and two derps of my characters (Li-Li and Blue). These were to be picked up at furfright; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2783126/ http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2808943/ Okay, so I find her table at furfright only to be told that she forgot them and will ship them to me for free after the con. That's fine, a while later i even see this journal; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2841802/ and thought "awesome, im pretty sure she has my address so i'll get them soon!" but...nope. never got them. so i sent her some small reminders blah blah, no reply. I see a journal that she moved so...okay? http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2925667/ i was fine with that, i moved recently too and understand that things get hectic. So then i see an entry pop up here about her http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/550360.html and contact her straight there. I also see that she doesnt accept notes for commissions now and only does them through email (which i did NOT know because all contact was previously done by FA's note system in the first place) so i sent her an email. a few days later i left a shout on her FA as well. Now it was possibly a bit rushed and i didnt have patience, but since it seems that they had the time to ship other people's orders I'm just a bit worried as to why she wont ship mine. I know that at least the rainbow dash and Li-Li badges are done http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ so idk. Edit: She JUST contacted me before the entry was accepted (kinda creepy actually LOL) and says she has to redo them because they are lost. It seems that her main problem is actually shipping them out, so i hope this ends well. Edit 2: Just got them today, I'd like to mark this as resolved, thanks!
  17. Dec. 19th, 2011 at 5:57 PM lichdog WHO: 2chaotic WHERE: IndyFurCon 2011, WHAT: a custom tail of my personal character WHEN: It was the Sunday of that con, on August 14th. PROOF: Business was done in person at the Dealer's room. EXPLAIN: So I was scouting the dealer's room that Sunday to make some last minute shopping when the artist in question approached me with the pickup line "You need a tail". I figured why not, and began talking to him. We flex the details out and he asks me for the payment of $40. So I run to the ATM, grab the cash and pay him promptly. I ask for contact info and give him mine, since it was definitely going to be homework. So 10 days later on FA, I send him this note: I checked my notebox for a few days, nothing. Waited a little more, saw he read it, but hadn't responded to it. About 2 weeks later I send this: I could sympathize with what he had to say and told him in return, "Ahh okay! Thanks for lettin' me know! If you could, please shoot me a note when ya get to work on mine, if ya can!". So I went back to playing the waiting game. Decided to poke him again at the beginning of November: Same tune, different instrument. He read that final note, but never sent me back anything in regards to my commission specifically. A few weeks later, he posts this journal (I screencapped it in case he deletes it). At that point I was pretty peeved, Notice how he has other outstanding commissioners also wondering about their commissions. I held off for a bit before posting this entry, was hoping he'd respond to my comment, maybe even in notes, but nothing came of it. ? so I shot him a note earlier asking for a refund. Which may have been a jerk move considering it's the holiday season, but I'm really sick of this lack of professionalism. ?
  18. Dec. 14th, 2011 at 5:27 PM duskiedisease EDIT 2: 2/14/2012 - I have received my commission! (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7391530/ NSFW) Please mark this as resolved! EDIT: 2/9/2012 - I have given Dogbreath a deadline of Feb. 13th. She has agreed to the date so hopefully I will see something soon! Before I start, I want to let it known that the artist here, dogbreath, is a very sweet and polite artist. I really don't wish to give her a bad rep in any way, but I feel the beware is justified. WHO: dogbreath on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dogbreath/ WHAT: A traditional adult piece, colored, 2 characters, no BG. WHEN: I commissioned the piece back in April 2011. The piece was paid in full through PayPal. After everything was finalized, I received a sketch in May sent for my approval. I asked for a few minor changes, which I didn't receive until September. I approved the sketch and told her she was good to go. I waited again until November to contact her about my commission, where I was told that she needed to get new markers for inking. At this point, I assumed that it would be maybe another week before I saw any progress. This was the last time I've had any sort of contact. (I tend to wait at least a few weeks before contacting again.. I don't want to seem naggy.) The date of this note was November 20, 2011. PROOF: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/534/commish1.jpg/ April, first note received responding to my quote request. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/94/paypalconfirm.jpg/ April, paypal given, payment sent May 1, 2011 http://imageshack.us/f/39/june17.jpg/ June http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/593/progressn.jpg/ August, stating my image would be scanned http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/822/sept5.jpg/ September http://imageshack.us/f/836/nov20.jpg/ Most recent note, November 2011 http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2530/paypalsent.jpg Payment sent, May 2011 EXPLAIN: As I've said before, dogbreath is a very sweet person, and very polite to work with. I don't believe she has tried to scam me in any way, but I've become frustrated with how long my commission has been pushed back, and that she still takes commissions despite mine not being done. I have recently noted her, but I'm not sure if I should just wait it out, or ask for a refund. Hopefully the caps are readable! Please let me know if they're not. I'm hoping to resolve this soon.

I contacted her through e-mail (which sadly I cannot find) and she said she'd send the charms. After not seeing them I sent her another e-mail requiring them on October 22nd, and same thing she said to give her my address and she'd send them. Now it's nearly the end of the year and I've yet to see or hear from her. I'm beyond irritated at this point with her and pretty much lying to me that she's going to send them. And to add to this she keeps opening up for MORE charms making me think if she's even working on the ones she currently owes. At this point in time all I really want now is my money back.
  20. Dec. 10th, 2011 at 2:09 PM pagan_foxcat The following was mostly written by Jaitsu on behalf of both of us. I'll put my own blurb at the bottom: "WHO: Vani/Vanimute/VanillaKitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani WHAT: Was supposed to be a traditional art commission, in the style of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4014996/ , for $65, split between myself ( Jaitsu / http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jaitsu ) and Neopagan ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/neopagan ). WHEN: The commission was agreed upon and paid for at Anthrocon 2010 (so, mid-late June, 24th/25th?) July 27th she started posting journals going on about her life situations delaying commissions ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1586921/ ). Since she seemed aware that she had commissions waiting, including ours, we waited to prod her with emails. When she finally replied, she said she'd have the commission done by JUNE, or give us a refund. We agreed. It's now long, long past June, and we've received neither, and she's no longer reading notes or responding to emails. (Her twitter's still pretty active, though, so you can't say she doesn't have internet access) PROOF: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18095502/paganvaniemails.png EXPLAIN: See "when" for most explanation. We paid for the commission at AC '10, then gave her plenty of time to work on it... then she started putting up dramajournals, so we felt sorry for her and waited a while longer. She kept putting up journals pointing out that she was aware that there were commissions waiting, including specifically mentioning ours, so we continued to wait, until finally, we got impatient. Neo noted and emailed her again, and FINALLY got a response, offering to do our commission (now upgraded to digital) by June, or give us a refund. As of October 4th, we've received neither, and the last several notes we've sent her haven't even been read." Now, this has been sitting in my email ready to post here since mid October, but I've been hesitant to do so, maybe even a little guilty. I know what it's like to have real life throw bricks at you and the tons of other artists I commission know that I try to work with them and give them a lot of leeway(and tip frequently!) But, enough is enough. I've commissioned and had a full fursuit complete in a lot less time. After emailing her failed (which is apparently the BEST way to get in contact with her), I left her a note on FA which by it's bright yellow color has not been read since mid October, and it is now December. Due to the extensive list of people and any lack of reasonable progress on ANY of them, I'm sure there are many more people who are a little tired of waiting over a year for a simple piece of artwork that they paid good money for( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18011580/don%27t%20take%20out%20of%20here/todolist.png ), I'm just the first to post about it here. A year and a half and nothing at all, infact, lost contact yet still twittering away? She doesn't seem like the dickish sort, but irresponsible is irresponsible. For those of you who would think me foolish for getting a commish from someone with that long a lineup, I actually didn't know the artist well and the first exposure to them was the dealer's den at AC 2010. It was only after I got home did I see the huge to-do list. What's worse, is that she started offering commissions for more money in between this and had friends pay her way to AC 2011 apparently.. ? I don't know if/when she is going to resurface. But if she does I want people to know her work ethic beforehand so they don't get into the same situation.

  23. Nov. 9th, 2011 at 7:14 PM seaweed_fma WHO: Tailbiteryena WHERE: This is the link to the head she was offering: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2218735.html WHAT: Fursuit head and tail, an Oshawott like character. WHEN: The "auction" began and ended on October 24th, 2011. PROOF: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2218735.html (same link as above) that is the post where she offered the head. I was the first one to take her up on the offer, so she closed the auction. That link included a post I made almost a week ago asking about a tracking number. I have sent her several private messages over LJ and have not gotten anything back. Some screenshots: That was the first message I sent them the first night they offered the head This is the one response I had from them and my response with my address (blocked out of course) Three messages I sent, 2 weeks ago, 1 week ago, and then tonight, trying to get some information on the head. The paypal screen that shows that I sent the 70 bucks, 50 for the head and tail and 20 for shipping (which I thought was way too much but I wasn't about to argue too much about it) EXPLAIN: Honestly there isn't too much to say. I spoke with the person the night that they offered the head, but I have not heard from them afterwards. I know they said that they were moving and that was why they wanted to money that night, so I sent them the money that night, because they wanted to send it before they moved. This is the first time I have posted here, so I hope that everything is correct here. I am not here to badmouth this person, I just want my head that I paid for, that is all...
  24. Nov. 4th, 2011 at 6:15 PM orange04 WHO: Dipper WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dipper WHAT: Tracing other peoples' work to use in commissions WHEN: Friday, November 04, 2011 PROOF:/ Example1... Mine: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/yoruart.jpg Hers: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippertrace1.jpg The overlay: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dipperoverlay.jpg Example2... Mine: http://i.imgur.com/22S7c.jpg Hers: http://i.imgur.com/KLR8Y.jpg The overlay: http://i.imgur.com/Jk6T0.jpg Example3... Someone's: http://i.imgur.com/au974.jpg/ Hers: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6502794/ While she may have cited her reference in this pic, there's apparently been some controversy surrounding it. Rumor being, she never cited it until she was called out for tracing it. I've heard this from several people, but sadly I can't prove if it's true or not. ***UPDATE*** (Sat, Nov 5th, 2011) - Dipper has made a public apology on her FA account seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2880360 And with that, I have accepted her apology for tracing my work. I believe she's learned from this whole experience and won't turn back to tracing or taking shortcuts again. Whether her apology really is legitimate or not, the important part is she won't be foolish enough to rip people off again, especially now that people are being weary and watchful over her gallery. I didn't mean for this thing to blow up as big as it did, but I felt it was my responsibility to bring all of this to everyone's attention. EXPLAIN: A concerned user had notified me of a commission Dipper had uploaded to FurAffinity. They said it looked like a trace of a livestream doodle I had done for a friend some time ago. I was skeptical until I saw the over-lay (shown in Example1). This is a screenshot of the full description she included in the submission: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/gwiibear_commission.jpg Nowhere did she even credit me. After some word had spread about her trace, she was quick to delete every comment left on her FA account regarding this issue. Example 2 was presented by someone who read about the news of Dipper's tracing. Their comment was: "It got me wondering about my partner's unfinished commissions with her (of which the WIPs have been deleted now apparently?)" Her note to me, including my disappointed response: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote1.jpg Her reply: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote2.jpg ...Which I didn't even reply to, because I had no words. Her last note: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/friedmilk/dippernote3.jpg She mentions an artist with an "N" name because, according to my husband, she had noted him explaining that she traced because her commissioner, gwiibear, specifically requested she copy one of the artist's drawings. She refused to do that, but I don't know what made me the exception. I will have screenshots of these notes as soon as my husband gets free time to upload them. All of this has made me feel rather stupid and gullible for taking part in one of Dipper's own charity auctions (Shaytalis paid her $100 for winning my slot, which is no small amount). I actually felt sorry for her. She seemed to be someone with the worst luck in the world, but at this point I no longer feel sorry for her about anything. If she's as emotionally flustered as she claims to be, she probably shouldn't be taking on commissions if it's affecting her business practices like this (unless her commissioners enjoy being lied to and ripped off). I had considered posting this to art_theft, but felt it more fitting to post here considering she's been doing this for commission money. Dipper is an artist I really liked until today. I may be more sore about this than others since it's my art she's been stealing, but what she's done is still rather messed up.
  25. Oct. 22nd, 2011 at 11:13 PM ebonhorn WHO: Besped WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/besped/ WHAT: Flash Animation (agreement down in the proof section) WHEN: First contacted Besped back on 15/12/2010 asking him to do a flash animation for me, to which he agreed, and gave me his paypal to make a payment to him. Requested a refund on 08/10/2011 to be paid within the week, he asked for it to be put back to the 19/10/2011 to which I agreed, but the 19th came and no refund, and he hasn't read my latest note. PROOF: The Original Agreement - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped.png The promise of a refund - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-2.png I have a paypal screen cap if necessary, but this should suffice for now? EXPLAIN: When I first contacted him for a commission, I waited for a sketch before I paid him. The sketch was fairly quick incoming, and I promptly sent off a payment to him. Since I sent him the money, that is pretty much the last evidence of him working on my commission. I would chase him for updates on a regular interval say once a month but I only received one sketch update in the 10 months he has had to do my commission in and only after I kicked up a stink about it. He has told me on a dozen occasions that he has completed or is nearly completed my commission just to say what I want to hear to make me go away, but no evidence was ever produced to back up that he was progressing on my commission. I have explained in detail that I have been displeased with the way he was treating me, but his has done nothing to change the way he was conducting his business. On top of this, he is constantly taking new commission queues for flash animations before he is anywhere near finishing the last batch of commissions. Besped's journals with multiple commission lists still outstanding - http://www.furaffinity.net/journals/besped/ Now he has completed some other commissions that were on the other lists, but he doesn't done any work on them in a long time now. I am surprised his name hasn't appeared on here more often considering how many people are waiting for art from him. There are also various comments on his journals of people waiting for 2 years and still not receiving anything from him, the ones that haven't already been deleted that is. This is more about the principle than the money at this stage. Edit: Also forgot to mention that he would try and squeese more money out of me about various addons or other commission deals he had going on- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-3.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-4.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-5.png Resolved: He Finally came through with my commission. So glad that is over now, made me angry every time I thought of his name. He asked me to share this message: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-6.png http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40345693/Besped-7.png If anyone would like some advice regarding how I dealt with it, please don't hesitate to contact me.
