About Me

  1. I first contacted the artist MushyOtter on 30 September 2020 via twitter DMs. I was directed to contact them on Telegram the following day. Details and terms were agreed upon for a $100 colored sketch of two characters. I sent my payment immediately. I subsequently communicated with the artist numerous times to confirm my progress through their queue, and they were fairly prompt in their responses. They sounded busy, and were actively posting art to their Twitter account, so I assumed that they were simply getting through their backlog. At one point, the artist indicated that they were busy with offline business, so I gave them some space, and I would check in once every few months. In both May and August, the artist indicated that they would be contacting me with some kind of progress "in the next couple of days," but this never materialized. One year after paying for this commission, on 2 October 2021, I contacted the artist and offered an ultimatum: by the end of the month, either complete the piece, or issue a full refund. On 31 October, the artist contacted me with a rough sketch. While this was not what I had specified, it was more than I had seen in a year, and presumed that since it had already been roughly sketched, and considering that the commission in question is just a colored sketch beyond that, the piece would be completed shortly. The artist has continued to post about commission openings on their Twitter account, and has been posting new art regularly nearly every month. At the time of this writing, it is 16 December. The last communication I received from the artist was 3 December, promising that they would send me an update upon arriving home. I must stress that the artist has been congenial and responsive, and as open as one could hope for. However, their most recent post on Twitter was a completed colored sketch other than mine, dated 15 December. Between the posting of that most recent image, and my exceedingly long wait time, my patience has simply run out. I must severely disrecommend this artist to all potential clients. This is the Paypal receipt from that transaction as it appears in my transaction history: And this is the log from our Telegram conversations: Three months in. I have checked periodically to this point, but the artist seems quite busy with offline business, so at this point I give them space. After being promised numerous times that my commission was just around the corner, I decide to firmly request the completion of this piece. The basic sketch finally arrives one year later. This is not exactly the fully completed piece I had described in my deadline to the artist, but by now I am simply glad to have anything at all.
  2. I contacted Kino on 9th September 2020, after seeing that they said they were opening commission slots on Twitter. I emailed asking if any slots were open and if so, what I was interested in getting (NSFW, fully body, fully shaded commission from you of my OC, with background). They said they were, that they could do that and it would cost $160.00 I agree with the price and send across several refs. Kino gave me the PayPal to send the money to and I sent across the $160.00. Payment was sent on the 10th of September. I emailed Kino on 23rd November 2020, asking how the commission was coming along, as I had not initially asked for a rough timeline. They responded on the 27th November 2020, apologising for delay, saying I can expect it in ‘a few weeks’ and that I’ll be sent a sketch ‘ASAP’. I told them no worries and thanks for letting me know. They did not contact me at until I emailed again on 6th February 2021, asking for another update. They responded on the 14th, apologising for the lack of communication and cited multiple personal reasons as to why there had been no update / why my commission had not yet been done. They said that I could either get a refund or continue waiting-- I said I understood, life comes first and it’s all good, and that I was happy to continue waiting for my commission. Yet again, there was no communication until I initiated it, emailing them again on 12th June 2021, asking for another update. They responded the same day, sating they were working on commissions that day and that I should have something soon. I said great, looking forward to seeing the sketch. After more months of radio silence, I email again on 29th September 2021 asking for another update and for a concrete answer or estimate as to when I can expect the commission. Kino responded the same day, asking if I had not received the email they had sent out (I did not-- I double checked my inbox, deleted and junk folders for said email), which stated they didn’t have the energy to work on art for other people and that refunds will be going out bi-monthly and that they will have a concrete timeframe of when to expect the refund after they receive their first pay check from their new job. I said no worries and good luck with the new job. Again, I email Kino as they have once again, not contacted me, on 8th December 2021, again asking for an update. They respond the same day, stating that they get paid on the 15th December and that I can expect a partial or full refund then. It is currently Wednesday the 15th December 2021 at the time of me writing this. I have not yet received an email from Kino or PayPal. My issue is not that I couldn’t get a commission from them or that the refund has not come through yet; at this point it is the lack of communication on their end and misleading updates. Being told to expect a sketch in a few weeks and then told, several months later, that “I'm actually working on them today”.
  3. ST3LLARPUNK opened for sketch commissions August 5, 2021. I contacted the artist, but they didn't respond initially so I figured the sale was closed. One month later they replied back saying they didn't see my DM. That's fair, I didn't comment on the sales post so things happen. We went through the exchange of details and payment was sent. On September 16, 2021 I noticed the payment I sent was unclaimed. I messaged the artist about it, but didn't receive a response. In fact, I just never received a response from the artist again despite them being active on Twitter and accepting new commissions. Edit: 12.24.21 The case closed in my favor. The artist never responded to it.
  4. Before I begin, Deviantarts note system works by reading from bottom to top. So keep that in mind when you try to read the conversation I'v had with this artist. Who: angiefluflu When: November 5th, 2020 What: Plush commission ordered through Deviantart of my sona Worth: 150$ Reason for PSA: Refusing to send finished commission to me thinking it will get lost in the mail + various push back dates on my order, possible ghosting Proof of purchase Somewhere around the 1st to 3rd of November I made a "looking for artist" forum on Deviantart looking to get a lazy plush of my sona, DOOM. They commented on my forum and we took it to DM's shortly after. I bought this plush on my adoptable account on Deviantart and not my main for clarity of the username. They gave me the price of the commission along with the estimated time of being completed at the end of January, which I was fine with, so we went about and did payment. I need to say there here, paypal with held the funds for the payment for 21 days. We weren't sure why, and I had to go looking around through paypals tos and found out they held the funds for 21 30 days for some security reason. Something I've never had an issue with before. Nerveless, they got their payment after the weird with holding. Time went by and January rolled around and I had received nothing, since she said it would be done in January. I didn't think too much of it and went about my life. In February she shot me a message on Deviantart saying she had been having some personal problems and that my new date was mid-March. I didn't go into dept with her about it since plushes take time and I thanked her for the heads up on my order. On April 14th I received a stash link with the preview of my plush, after that I didn't hear back from her till May. On May 4th she stated my plush was finished and I would be receiving photos sometime soon. She sent me photos of my plush the next day as a stash link. Multiple photos of my plush being completed. It's now where I exchange shipping information like address and name. She comments that there's shipping problems due to quarantine, but will ship my commission out the next week after May 14th. Also, around April I had ordered a different plush from a different user and replied to her with 'also got the paypal notification too about shipment.' I had thought that she had shipped my order, but it was not her and my other plush I ordered in April instead. I learned about my mistake about the notification on June 26th and make sure to send her a message. I make a comment about how the Paypal notification wasn't for this order. I guess this would also be considered as a little nudge to see how things were going with shipping since the Paypal notification wasn't this order. I was hoping for her to say that it was shipped out or something like that, but instead I was met with the reply that my plush wasn't being shipped out because shipping was too expensive? And that it was at risk of being lost during shipment? I was upset hearing that if I wanted my plush I would have to get quoted for the expensive shipping option or wait for things to improve. As a reminder, shipping WAS included in our agreement. So I left this reply to sit since I had to wait for better, cheaper, shipping. I don't hear back from her for 2 months. I am infuriated at this point, being told I would have to pay more on shipping to get my plush or simply wait till things got better. But there were no updates from her and I decided to send a rant to her about this whole ordeal. Even asking to be quoted for the shipping, which she never gave me a quote after this exchange. I am also going through the same situation with another artist, so I decided to comment about that as well. After my rant and receiving a message back from her in August 26th, I became more enraged. She's too afraid of my plush being lost in the mail, and at that point I would be fine with paying for insurance and tracking if she gave me that option, but instead she doesn't ask if I want tracking or insurance on the package and simply refused to send out my finished order. Not only that, but she now comments that shipping is now higher than before. I gave up and had to walk away from our conversation because I was becoming too upset to deal with this issue. I never heard back from her after this exchange, and I was left to hopelessly wait until I got my order. During the months of waiting, I decided to take up on researching the postal service in her country. I will not state what country it is, but I will say that the postal service she has been talking about isn't having issues. In fact, it's still shipping internationally to my country. So with the new information I got from researching her postal service I decided to send her a message, this time saying that I would like insurance and tracking to be added to the package. BUT, I won't send payment for it until I see the recite of the shipment as I don't just want to send her more money and not hear back from her. A lot of this is blurred because it's information about their countries postal service. This is also the last message I have sent to her, she never opened it or replied to this message. So I am still left in the dark. At the beginning of this thread I said possible ghosting, this is because on all of her socials she hasn't been active since around October. So the only way I can communicate with her is through Deviantart, but I have yet to receive any messages back since my last message on November 12th, 2021.
  5. I found this artist via a group chat on Telegram that was made for advertising art advertisements, and decided to commission this artist for having an art style I considered to be appealing as well as having affordable prices. I agreed and paid the artist, expecting to have my commission eventually completed. However months passed and I never got any kind of update. The only communication I got from them was me asking if I could update a reference. November comes, and I'm getting concerned. I also look over their Trello queue and TOS and realise something is very off. First thing that comes to mind is that my queue placement is not labelled with 'paid' As well as still accepting commissions despite having already a large backlog. Their TOS was extremely sketchy and unfair, rules such as being able to keep your commission in waiting status as long as they'd like, and once started, a max up to five months. I contact the artist about an update, and an estimated waiting time. I decide then to file a dispute on Paypal and explain my grievances as politely and honestly as I could. Something that caught my mind was that the artist said that they would only finish my art if I closed the dispute. If I ended up following with this, I would've never been able to reopen it again, and there's no guarantee I'll have my sketch started by then. They claim that if I win the dispute my money would not be refunded anyways and ultimately be a waste of time, which sounds sketchy to me, however I cannot find a official Paypal source claiming otherwise so I cannot say for definite if this is true or not. Lilpinkghost claims they have done nothing wrong, as I have agreed to their TOS. Their TOS is not legally binding, as well as having numerous issues with it. here is a link to the PDF they submitted. [Mod note: there were more pages, but we parsed it down to the text the artist submitted as the rest are just caps present here.] After I escalate the dispute, they become rude and patronising. My experience with Lilpinkghost has been overwhelmingly negative. Please do not commission this artist.
  6. On 11/19/2020 I purchased an artistic liberty fursuit head from BeastworksStudiosLLC(aka Beastworksfx) for 400 USD. Time passed by. In May 2021, I noticed they had closed their etsy shop. I emailed them, concerned and for an update. I did not get a reply. I emailed them again in the beginning of June 2021. I got no response. About a week later in June, they posted on their instagram that they were closing their business and liquidating the shop. They were going to give refunds and send out uncompleted orders. He instructed his clients to email him in an instagram post. (I do not have the post screenshot, but I did manage to save one where he mentioned he saw my email in the comment section.) I emailed him, as instructed. I heard back from him a week or so later. He offered to set up a repayment plan with me. He said he could refund me in installments, if I was interested. I emailed back and accepted his offer, but there was no further contact. (Personal Info is Censored) In November 2021, I attempted to email him. His email address cannot be found. His instagram currently named, BW2021closed, is not active and posts deleted. Beastworksfx website has also been deleted. They have cut off all means of contact.
  7. - Original agreement + Proof Casual conversation about the Salt Queen ideas. We started Feb 23rd. They ended up sketching her out extensively. - Proof of payment I asked for a paypal invoice, so that I could keep track of the transaction. They confirmed payment. I received the gif immediately and was extremely pleased with it. I used it on my commission website as well as my curious.cat. - Any relevant correspondence Spine Breaker was friends with my partner first. I met them through their work on my partner's persona, Salt King. Often described as Spine Breaker's muse, Salt King was a design they made based on my partner's likeness, rights to the character was always Spine Breakers. My partner has never claimed to own the design or want it. Salt King art was only used as discord profile pictures and steam profile pictures. Spine Breaker would send me random sketches or finished pieces of Salt King, and other finished works, but no Salt Queen progress. March 19th is the last I saw any related work of any kind on Salt Queen. I liked their art so much.. I wouldn't have spent 300$ on their work if I didn't like it. I'd always message them about their newest Salt King works that they would send my partner! - Refund Request Half a year of random conversations later, I asked for a refund on Sept 21st. I had started to doubt their desire to finish the commission long before this, but wanted to wait it out for as long as possible.. I was honestly so excited to see Salt Queen design finished by them. October 12th was our final correspondence. Below is a message they sent to my partner the same day as my refund request. My partner felt like he could do something about the situation and inquired on his own. Receiving this excuse below as the reason why they didn't work on my commission this year. The fact that Spine Breaker tried to say I didn't like their work still baffles me. This whole thing was an insult... A slap to the face. I said nothing and waited on the refund. Yes, I too am an artist, my income is 100% made from freelance artwork. But I commissioned THEM for the Salt Queen because of their amazing work! (Work I believe far surpasses my talents.) I didn't design Salt Queen myself because I wanted them to.. I'm still very confused by this logic... Or why this wasn't brought up to me long before we reached this point. I waited until November 1st for the 100$ refund, nothing was received, not even a message. With no communication at this point, things started to feel personal. I removed the artist from my socials November 1st. Below is the inflammatory message they sent my partner a day later on November 2nd. Absolutely none of this can be explained by me. I was always honest with the artist, always excited to see their work, and honestly felt lucky to be so closely associated with them through my partner. If they ever had any sort of ill feelings towards me, it was never brought up with me. And with 200$ spent, I wasn't really sure how to act around them. After sending the message above to my partner, they blocked him, making this a very odd personal attack. I was never refunded anything. And he lost a good friend in his attempt to mediate. Beware this artist.
  8. I commissioned Fajnyziomal back in August for a number of different commissions for around $100 & have been getting nothing but excuses or very confusing responses from them. I'm not positive what the issue is, but every time I ask, they claim to be too busy to complete said commissions. Despite the fact their Discord status shows them playing "Dead by Daylight" almost every day for hours. I chose the "Pay as a friend" option on PayPal because I thought that's what we were... My money's not coming back , nor do I expect to receive any artwork from them. I'm just here to warn others about this artist.
  9. Who: lrkcreations / NekkoMeneko When: November 25th, 2020 What: Plush commission ordered through Instagram of my character Baphomet Worth: 155$ Reason for Beware: Has gone a full year without giving me any wips, notifications, and keeps pushing back the turn around 'estimate' time of my order Proof of Purchase November 25th, 2020 I ordered a plushie on November 25th, 2020. This plush is a kuttari, something I have been interested in for a long time. I was excited to grab a slot for one of these as it's one of my favorite plush styles. We went through and discussed price, INCLUDING an estimated time frame. Which was late February. Everything got paid, except shipping, since that was in her tos. I also already knew she has a 1/3 deposit price, but was not aware that she considered the total price of my order as the full deposit. There was no confirmation that the $155 was going to be the deposit until after the transaction. February 6th, 2021 Throughout the time from November to February I received nothing. No hellos, check ins, notifications, nothing. During the time I had redrawn Baphs reference, changing only the art and not the design. So the design staid the same, there were no design changes. I decided to send a message back and notify them that there was a new, cleaner, reference sheet they could use since the old one was kinda ugly. It took them 10 days to respond to me, and after which I sent them the new reference. They messaged back 2 days later with a simple thank you. April 30th, 2021 I was kinda ancy and wanted to know a new time frame of when my order was going to be done. It was then she stated estimates were not set in stone. This was a shocker because all the plushies I have ordered from different artists all had due dates on when I would be receiving work in progress shots, and physical goods always have a turnaround time set. I thought I was going to get my plush in February since that was the original 'estimated' time. She also mentioned a list/queue, something that isn't public so I had no idea where I was in her queue, or if she even has a queue. I begrudgingly had to reply with a calm, great to hear, knowing I had to wait even longer for my order. September 25th, 2021 & Current I reached out again as a little nudge. To see if I could get things rolling, or even a wip. It takes them a good chunk of time to respond. Saying they have been late on their work, 'trying' to get caught up. There's nothing more I can say and just leave it at that. I decide to pop in a few weeks ago to see if I can get a glimpse of their 'queue', something that's apparently not public information for their clients. As of November 12th, 2021, I have received no reply. Radio silence. I decided to send a charge back dispute notice telling her she had until the 25th until I decided to take action and tell her about how this transaction was highly unprofessional. I have still yet to even hear back from her since November 12th / 21st. I do not plan to chase her around to her other accounts just to get a hold of her, she has shown me how unprofessional she is and it is not my responsibility to chase her around. They stopped being active on their instagram so I wanted to check and see if they were active on any of their other social medias they listed in their linktree on their profile. I began my little search their other social medias to see if they have been active anywhere else. I found they have been streaming on Twitch, as well as going under a new rebrand named, NekkoMeneko. Being incredibly active on Twitch, Twitter, and their Tictoc posting almost daily. As of now, I am waiting for the 25th to come around before I take action with Paypals buyer protection and file a dispute against her.
  10. On 10/24/21 Valdis inquired about getting a pre-pose from me, which is something I usually only offer for my in-stream participants or to my discord users who may not be able to attend a stream. I specifically informed her to only contact me with her information once she was cleared to pay for the item. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44295921/ When she noted me I assumed she was in good standing and able to pay for the artwork, as agreed. Our discussion was then moved to discord. I provided her with regular WIPs. There was some confusion as to the pricing for the pieces (Although on the submission it is clearly stated that I was not providing both versions of the work for an extra $5). She then asked to add more artwork to the queue, while still not paying for her original pieces. I explained I would not do more art for her until the current works were paid for. She then ghosted me for the weekend, and communications moved back to FA as she claimed she was unable to access her discord. I sent her a warming, after seeing that she had tried to purchase characters for $200 from xBlueAshesx. Usually, I would have stopped working on her commissions at this point. However, at the same time, there was an unexpected death in the family. Work provided me an escape, something to focus on other than my grief for a little while. When Valdis responded, she tried to blame everything on Paypal, as well as having been mistreated by other artists in the past. I was informed that Valdis was attempting to purchase another character, this one for $300 at this point. After which point I contacted Valdis to let her know that I had seen her behavior - She responds, once again trying to garner sympathy by claiming she has no family. Sick of the attempts at gaslighting and manipulation, I inform her the only way to recover from her actions is to pay for the work she ordered. Here is the work completed, for verification purposes. The other person she ordered artwork for did pay for her portion of the artwork. I am including it here, though, to show that the work was completed and Valdis should have paid for it. Last contact with the client on Nov 6th
  11. Client scammed me by filing and escalating to a claim for non-received goods on PayPal and won a refund. The very last image attached involves the OC (on the left was the reference provided, on the right was the piece I completed). I disputed it but PayPal ruled in favor of the client/scammer. Client used fraudulent, made-up reasons to file the claim, that I've sold a Minecraft account which got blocked and that I ghosted them after. They commissioned me for a NSFW piece, which I delivered on, gave them the files (October 23rd) and woke up to the claim on the 28th of October, 2021. The attached describe the overall series of events, my attempts to defend my case and ultimately the failure to do so. It's worth noting they used an associated email to file the claim, which is different from the invoiced one. I attempted contacting them on twitter and to my surprise they did respond but lied that they would take the claim down. I asked PayPal support if I could update my response to the dispute, they said they will only add notes that the client is using different emails and that I do NOT deal with Minecraft. The client locked their account after our last DM exchange. Before doing so I made a screenshot highlighting they've seen the dropbox link. They admitted to seeing the finished piece, too. Mod note: Removed finished commission, but it was uploaded!
  12. I started supporting Kittbites on Patreon at their $85 per month tier, which includes a single character commission each month. Paid June 1 (Supporting May) Paid July 1 (Supporting June) Paid August 1 (Supporting July) Paid September 1 (Supporting August) The first two months went by without a problem, and I got two commissions. I asked for an edit to the pieces, but after that they stopped responding. Which especially became a problem as two more months of Patreon support went by. Meaning two months of artwork have not been delivered. I reached out to Kitt on their discord server (Unfortunately no screenshot, I lost access to their server). I reached out to their manager (Puck) via telegram, and was told Kitt wasn't answering. I reached out to Kitt directly, and got no response.
  13. I am currently waiting on a fursuit that was first discussed at MFF 2017 and commissioned February 2018. I paid off the suit in installments with the last payment being sent on August 2018. The suit is of my Thylacine character. I was told that the head would have to be sculpted, molded, and cast as it was a custom character with no bases for the head of the Thylacine. This was fine with me because at first I didn’t mind waiting. As stated in below it was discussed at MFF 2017 that work would be started once it was half paid off around the beginning of Summer 2018. Now I do understand I definitely wasn’t first on the list which again is fine. Fast forward to early 2020 pre-pandemic. It was discussed the suit would started after FWA 2020 and be done in time for Megaplex 2020. Drakonicknight stated they lost a year due to carpal tunnel at the beginning of 2018 (unsure if they met 2019) and lasted until the end of 2019. I understood that, I know carpal tunnel isn’t fun to deal with. This was in February 2020. In July I messaged them again asking for updates. Now with Covid a thing, all cons, including Megaplex, were canceled. So I figured that the suit would not be done in time for when Megplex was supposed to happen (August 2020) Now in-between all of this in 2019 DrakonicKnight did work on pre-made partials. While to me this is fine but I feel that your actual paying customers should come first. I understand emergency situations come up and you need money, it happens to the best of us. January 2021. I messaged DrakonicKnight again asking for updates and to discuss a new deadline for the suit to be done. As seen in the caps below I asked about it, twice, both of which seem to have been ignored as the conversation jumps from February 9th 2021 to May 6th 2021 with no new completion date discussed. I tried contacting on twitter saying that I didn’t hear from them on Telegram and asked for an update. In April I was informed that they were scheduling a day for helpers to come out and help get things done. August 2021 I message again saying I tried contacting on twitter and didn’t get a response so went to Telegram at that time only the head needed to be sculpted/completed and that was the last point of contact. I am not looking for a refund on the suit. I would love for it to be completed while receiving the same quality that all past clients have received. However if it does come to it, I will ask for a refund, I don't want it to come to that since I would feel a bit uncomfortable seeing what was once to be my character on someone else. Pictured (I hope I can fit them all if not I’ll post the more important ones)are the conversations I’ve had with them. I also ordered a shirt from them (which is seen discussed in the pictures as well) but that also HAS NOT been delivered.
  14. Urg opened for commissions on January 24, 2020. The commission queue opened at the time can be found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34740959/ I (TenPoundHammer) am in the fourth slot. I agreed to a two-character, full body piece with background. Per the posted prices, my piece totaled $115 USD. January 25, 2020: Urg sent me an FA note confirming that I was in the queue. March 24, 2020: Urg sent me a WIP and asked for payment. March 25, 2020: Payment of $119.99 USD sent (the balance being PayPal fees). March 26, 2020: Urg acknowledges that payment was received. October 15, 2020: Inquiry to Urg about progress of pic. Urg informs me that a WIP will be sent on October 20. December 31, 2020: Second inquiry to Urg about progress of pic. Informed that WIP will be "within four days". May 7, 2021: Yet another inquiry to Urg about status of pic. WIP promised "next week". August 31, 2021: Request for at least a partial refund due to long term lack of progress. Refund promised "tomorrow". As of this writing (October 7, 2021), Urg has yet to refund me. Also, unless I missed one, only one of the five pieces from the last commission queue appears to be in Urg's gallery; despite this, Urg opened for a new batch of commissions on September 6, 2021 despite an obvious backlog ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43597577/ ). I am out $119.99 USD until this is resolved.
  15. I commissioned Gamblepaws for a NSFW picture around December of 2020. I paid the invoice on December 17th, then heard nothing for three months. After three months of waiting and not hearing anything I was finally told I'd be getting a work-in-progress sketch that evening (June 15th, 2021). Then after not hearing back I waited a little longer then asked if there was an ETA. I've asked a few times over the months now but I've not heard back since then, so now it's been another three months since they've said they'd have a sketch done by the evening. In total I've been waiting nine months since paying the invoice and I've only heard from the artist once after paying, and that took 3 months... After nine months my commission hasn't even been started and the artist is ghosting me. They've been active on Twitter and have posted as recently as October 1st, 2021, yet still haven't opened any of my notes on FA nor responded to my DM on Twitter. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2021_10/Screenshot_2021-10-06_14-46-37.png.c0ada617cd7078ad868e204c520c9f68.png
  16. Hello all. So I ordered this commission back in February 16th of 2021. I have previously worked with this artist before and never had an issue with them so I decided to work with them again since I quite like the last piece I did. Anyways I successfully put in the request commission form from a Google from thing can't remember the exact thing and got a response back within a few days and she was quite excited to be working with me again. About a month later on March 19th I did receive a rough sketch so just the line arts. As for what I commission was in general I ordered a single character illustration with full shading and a background. When I got the sketch I was quite happy with it as it looked very cute. I did requested two things to be changed on it though. The first one was the body style. The character I used was a bit chubby and they drew her as a thin character even though I had her body style listed in the character info tab thing for the refs I sent. The second was just to make the boobs a bit bigger as they where pretty small for the character and just looked a bit weird to me. And following that she agreed to change those for me and have it fixed in a few days After the sketch was approved that is when things took a turn. On April 11th I asked for an update and got no response, I waited two months and asked on June 15th for an update and once again no response. Then I became a bit annoyed and sent another one on June 19th asking for an update as it has been three months since I received anything. Finally the next day June 20th I received a reply She mentioned to me she was having health problems and was worried this affected our business relationship with us working together for comms or however you put it. I mentioned to her that that is all fine and I hope she makes a good recovery and feels better soon. Next month July 8th 2021 I receive a message saying she will have an update by the weekend and I responded with how I was excited to see it. And this is the last I have ever heard of her. On August 9th I sent a hello message and was ignored and two in July but deleted those as I thought I was spamming. Finally I had enough I sent a message on August 29th detailing my annoyance and lack of response and how I was a bit stressed especially with how much money this was. I outlined I would like a refund but she could keep what is owed for the rough sketch. As of me waiting this it is September 16th and I have yet to hear a response. I am slowly getting done with commissioning people a this will be the fourth artist I have had to deal with that has run off with my money. I like to commission people and support others but it is really getting hard for me to do so as I'm just paranoid at this point so idk what to do. Anyways here is a bunch of images Paypal Invoice statement I paid on February 18th 2021 Message one: Discussing comm stuff, like pose the character I'm using and background junk Random stuff and Paypal being weird for me with the invoice Rough sketch received Lack of response 1 Response back and saying when I'll get an update Where we are at now But yes hopefully this all checks out. Still learning how to do these. But ea take care and have a great day, cheers! ^^
  17. Hawk and I agreed to do a trade where he was to give me a set assortment of video games in return for $50 usd and lots of art from me. I believe he goes by he/him pronouns so that is what I am using for this post. His account has since been deleted so the user is going to be “instagrammer” He took a long while to actually tell me what he wanted with reguards to artwork so I didn’t actually start drawing until he picked out said drawings that they wanted me to do. He ended up asking me to choose the amount and type of drawings I do for him. and this is the reaction to me sending WIP photos of the artwork and eventually finishing them all (images aren’t there anymore) I asked him for his address so I could ship the artwork off as soon as I could and it took them a few days to respond to that. I am pretty sure I shipped the box out on October 19th or 20th 2020 and asked him to let me know when he received them. I thought it was weird only because I didn’t have any other international or US packages take this long even with the pandemic. I messaged him when I saw that it was delivered and he hadn’t messaged me. Since he stated that he had COVID I let him be and didn’t message him for at least 2 weeks. I ended up messaging him for a check up on February 17th because he said he would package it up and send me a picture in the previous message which he didn’t do. here he sends me a picture of the labeled package (just a handwritten one) so I believed the package would be sent that week like they said. I tried not to message him about shipping or tracking at the time it because I didn’t want to seem like I was pestering him. Since it took so long one way, I assumed it would take just as much time the other way so I decided to message him about a tracking number when I falsely believed the package was well on its way. This is the last of the messages we sent through Instagram when I saw that the Instagram account was deleted I assumed he just ran away, hence my first message to him through Telegram I knew I wasn’t the only one having issues with him (as about 3-4 close friends privately messaged be about similar issues with him as well) to this day I have not received anything out of this “trade”. No artwork or money or games. I tried to be extremely patient this entire time with him as I know he has mental health problems and 2020 was a year, but I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. Talking to him seems to get me nowhere.
  18. Here is the original agreement for a paw commission and a headshot commission. Proof: Part 2 of the Agreement: Also how you can see on the screenshot above the artist has received the payment, but here is proof of the transaction anyways: After everything was settled I checked out the artists queue to get some kind of idea how long I might have to wait on the commissions. And well I was very surprised that the artists list is really long... So I figured I give the artist a reasonable time period to work on them. So after two months of radio silence in the dms, I saw that the artist still took a lot of commissions, even thought their current list, which got even longer the last time I checked, wasn't even done yet. I thought I'm gonna message the artist again, cuz on their list they wrote that people can message them to get prioritized on their list. This went as follows: I received no response on the original message, even though the artist was tweeting and engaging the entire time on their social media accounts. After a week of no response I decided to message them again. Which is the second message on the screenshot above. When this message was ignored as well I set a deadline for the artist. Which is the third message you can see on the screenshot above. There was a shorter time period between the second and third message, because I already got a bit annoyed. Finally after another week I got an answer from the artist: First I was a bit sympathetic with them, because I get that mental stress can have a big impact on someones life and I explained why I was so persistent to them as well. But showing my sympathy was a mistake, because after the conversation above the artist started to make excuses for not working on commission more and more frequently on their public twitter account. Also communication with this artist stopped entirely in the dms. They never responded back. So I messaged them regarding a refund, after again almost 2 months of radio silence. I gave the artist more time than the deadline I set them originally. And I still haven't received an answer yet.
  19. Initial agreement of two images. Two illustrations. One for a playmat and another for card sleeves. payment proof: First image delivered + no response on the second one. It has been radio silence for 2 months with not even lineart done on my second picture
  20. ordered a mini-partial on the 13th of April 2020, head was completed on September 2020, no further updates on the rest of the order and artist is yet to ship the finished item and as of august 2021 I have not received anything from the artist nor does the artist respond to messages anymore
  21. Mel and I agreed to a $300 piece of my character with a background. The original agreement is on a Twitter account I deleted years ago, but here are my payments as well as a message on Facebook that she would be working on it. Mel had delivered 6 smaller commissions in the past, so I trusted her and was fine with waiting. When she started, things seemed to progress smoothly. (Text with personal details are marked out.) I reached out occasionally from Twitter (on the same account that I had deleted) for updates. On her Trello, my piece was last updated in 2019: https://trello.com/b/DTDzsnqX/commissions 2020 was the last time I sent a message on Twitter. I realized I had not heard from her in a while, so when I went to ask about the commission status, I saw Mel had set her Twitter account to protected (so I could not contact her). I then tried to reach out to her on Furaffinity and saw my account was blocked. I tried to contact Mel one more time by e-mail. I saw the next day that she had disabled her Furaffinity account and deleted her Twitter. I had felt that things were progressing smoothly, if slowly, and nothing seemed out of place. So I was very surprised by the quiet account block. It was only after these events that I checked Artist Beware and saw she had bewares under previous account names. I hope this helps others avoid the trouble.
  22. I commissioned Raver back in June 2019 for a bodysuit with indoor feet. Prices were discussed and the total came to $1050. I later added on custom shoes to go with the feet paws which was $150. Totaling now $1200. I had ask if a deadline of late Oct/Start of Nov as I had a convention later in Nov. He said he would try but he had a convention in July he was attending and would try getting it started in Aug. Over the rest of 2019, I had messaged him multiple times asking for updates which I was always met with excuses about illness or family matters. Which I understand life sometimes gets in the way so I let it slide. See screenshots below of all excuses also excuses from 2020. Now into 2020 I had asked a few more times for updates to which I was met with more excuses(See above). Then in March world wide lockdowns started to occur. I asked him if he would be working from home during the lockdown and he said he wouldn't be able to so I waited. Come April he mentioned on social media that he would be going back to work. One of his excuses was that my DTD wasn't suitable for use. He had waited almost a full year(April 2020) to tell me my DTD wasn't useable even though he had opened the box when he first got it and would've seen the issue with it(issue was I used cling film instead of a painters suit) Proof he opened the box when he first got it He claims that is his TOS it states 50% would be nonrefundable once work had started. Not once were his TOS sent to me nor were they anywhere on his profile for me to access. Only a small message at the start did he say "when I start 50% is non refundable" After a lot of back and forth I sent him a new DTD and had asked that my feetpaws be worked on while he waited on the new DTD Feetpaws were not worked out while he waited for the DTD. He then also had a surgery coming up. That was all he had to show, for almost a year. There's no confirming those are even meant to be mine, could easily be someone else's. I then asked for more updates in April and May. More excuses(attached above with excuses from 2019). I was rather upset at this point that I had waited almost a full year and nothing had been done. He then posted that he was selling a commission slot for a head piece that would be started in June. I messaged him rather upset explaining my disappointment that someone would have their piece worked on before mine was even started. On 19th of May 2020 after informing him of my disapproval of the lack of work, he decided to cancel my order and was only offering me a 50% refund. I tried going to both PayPal and my bank to see if they could help but because it had been so long either could do anything to help me. I also tried to get a lawyer but because he's in a different country from me(Scotland and Norway) they said it would cost more to get my money back. He tried to send me 50% refund but I didn't accept until I had spoken with my bank and PayPal but because both too so long to get back to me PayPal refunded the money Raver had sent back to him. I later requested the 50%($600) from Raver on 26th Oct 2020. Luckily he sent me the money. Raver has since said in a Instagram Live that he does only 30% nonrefundable deposit. I have since emailed him regarding this and he has agreed to refund me. I am now waiting on the rest that I am owed.
  23. I am currently awaiting a refund on a fursuit comission that was taken on in 2019. It was paid in installments before it was started. I paid one (1) upgrade fee for the markings and then one (1) rush fee with an optional tip to get my suit finished faster. After a large amount of time passing due to the pandemic and problems on the makers end, after multiple requests for updates, I have requested a refund on the 5th of January 2021. Only then was I shown evidence that my fursuit had been started. After a few requests my most recent message from them was on the 12th of May 2021 and despite seeing my messages they have not yet responded. I am extreamly hopeful I will get my money refunded as they seem honest with their intent but this has gone on for over 2 years and I can no longer afford to wait. Pictured is the conversation begining where the commision was accepted, discussion of the upgrade fee, discussion of rush fee, when the suit should be started, requesting a refund, the most recent messages sent by me and pictures of Paypal invoices sent and paid.
  24. I preordered two pins of Raver’s characters from Charapins a year ago. Cost me $32 with shipping. He gave me the run around for months after. I even found a post saying that the pins had arrived and I asked there and on Twitter when the pins were getting sent out. I haven’t heard from him since March. I don’t expect my money back and I don’t even want the pins at this point. I know I’m one of many people that Raver has ghosted but I figured I’d share my experience as well. And last message was sent 07/28/21
  25. Found artist advertising commissions on Reddit under the reddit name "meal_t1me" . I had gotten a commission from them initially on 5/21/21 with no issues whatsoever, and then a few days later they sent me a DM begging me for money. After some dispute over the amount, I agreed on a second commission. I sent a payment for this commission for £26.25 (£25 + tip) on 5/29/21. A few weeks passed with no response from the Artist to which they finally messaged me with that they are "being thretened to be doxed". More weeks passed with no response. On 6/17/21 I requested a refund for the commission. A day later they said they are sorry, they are being threatened, and "will get to my commission ASAP" It is now 7/16/21 and the artist deleted their discord and reddit accounts. All screenshots of our conversation, and proof of paypal transaction are being submitted with this post, with sensitive information censored out. Some important things to note: [Mod Note: We removed a segment on supposed proof of the user "begging" for money. While this artist's behavior is inexcusable, they were not begging for money. They were asking for work.] Artist begging for money in a direct message to me Artist using multiple discord accounts [Mod Note: Upon looking around, this isn't two discords. It's Nitro] Artist using multiple paypal accounts Artist changed the agreed upon price of a commission Artist has deleted all means of contact
