About Me

  1. I'll try my best to explain this case in chronological order. I claimed an YCH from said artist on Furaffinity on March 7th, 2020. I also paid it the same day. The basics, linking characters and discussing the little details. Nothing alarming. Fast forward couple months, when nothing seemed to happen, I asked them about the delay. It already took over three days to get a reply after being left on read, which unfortunately cannot be seen here. In August 2020 I actually got a WIP, well, after asking for it. Little did I know when I thought I'd get updates without asking. I was still confident that my fear was irrational and that work is being done. 9 months went by in absolute silence. (Later in the post why I didn't go poking them) I started to get really suspicious about what's going on. Anyone familiar with Furaffinity's file number system notices immediately, that their queue has years old YCH's and commissions, from which some has been completed, but I'm unable to find the most. Tells something how well clients are updated when even public queue is so neglected. Almost every client update has been a new or old reason why work couldn't have been done. Very unprofessional in my opinion. The text above describes my experiences with them until my first attempt here at Artists Beware. Moderators instructed me to give them a final warning before posting on AB, so I did. I went on full disclosure, and said that I've already gone to AB with this case, mainly to strongly describe my disappointment. I admit on my end that my actions haven't been flawless either, not even close. But I believe lots of the readers here at AB know the frustration when you think you've been scammed. Even in that case, I should have asked some questions, no matter how pointless doing so felt at the time. In the other hand however, I've commissioned dozens of other artists and they all provided updates themselves. So it's fair to assume it's a standard? Especially when to my surprise, today I found out that their TOS actually comes in two parts. The second part being so well hidden in the clutter of their front page that in all honesty I only found out today, May 19th, 2021, when making sure that none of my sayings is false. To which I never received a link or instructions to find it, neither of them. Well, see for yourself, is it easy to find? Though it seems that there is a connection in my proof that I have seen both parts. From which I had close to zero memory at this point, I realized this myself when noticing that my statement "I remember being told it'll take some time" was written on said missing TOS half. Honest question, am I expected to remember after over a year who had split their TOS in two, or what exactly was written there? Well at least that I was wrong about the client update policy, but also that the usual waiting time has been multiplied by 14. Content of the easily found TOS... ...and the not-so-easy-to-find one. My initial assumptions were quickly proven wrong, work had been done. To which I tried to apologize and told them that I'll have to reconsider my actions. I explained what has led to this and said I may take down the AB entirely. Well that was a lost cause. The main point is turning to their wait time and attitude. I've waited over a year and I get told that queue must be skipped due to a tight(??) deadline. How long I would have had to wait? Another year? This time frame is simply unacceptable. On top of that, my apology was turned down, with quite offensive wording. It was indeed me who started this, but it was also me who tried to apologize and make things right. They decided to hold to the hostility until the very end. It's apparent that they had no intention to resolve this in a civil manner. I wasn't left with much more options other than showing everything from start to finish. By the time of writing this I'm fairly confident that I'll receive the art after all, much work has been done in the last few days.
  2. Contacted the Artist on the date of August 25th 2019 after seeing them advertise in a Dealer Den group on Telegram. Commissioned from them an Icon and a Sketch. After talking about the commissions for a short while I payed them. The next month they told me they were going through personal stuff and thus they've been radio silent. They said it'd be done by the following Sunday and thanked me for my patience. That was the last time I'd hear from them. For the next few months all the way to April of 2020 I would message them to try to get some form of update from them. On Feb 9th 2020 I sent them a message asking for any kind of update and that I'd be fine with the wait so long as they gave me anything. On April 16th 2020 I've had my last straw and sent them a lengthy post telling them that the ghosting was unacceptable and that I'd be reporting them to the telegram group I saw them on originally. Months later they deleted their Telegram completely. Their FA hasn't had a post in a year and their Twitter is Private. Chat logs will be posted as photos however with their real name blacked out. A final attempt was made to contact the artist again on May 15th on the email address specified plainly on their FA account and the artist has not responded, since.
  3. March 2nd, 2020 SP and I were on VC when a question came up, as seen in the screenshot. Curious, SP made a sketch and shared it with me. Immediately, I jumped on it, offering money as first dibs. There wasn't an addition or edit for the design commission. Throughout this transaction, I did not ask for updates, as I trusted them enough to uphold their end of the deal considering they were a friend to me. Question Concept May 14, 2020 - 2 months from the start I sent them money to help out and thus, the design became labeled as "Sam Bait". Payment July 25th, 2020 - 3 months from the start I received a second update. WIP January 6th, 2021 - 10 months from the start I inquired about the design comm. They responded they had told me through one of our VC sessions they might have accidentally deleted the file. This, of course, made me upset. But they reassured me they'll restart the design and go deep diving for the WIPs they sent me as there were thousands of images to go through, as we nearly spoke every day. Inquiry February 24th, 2021 - 11 months from the start It turns out they renamed the file. Further discussion of the idea occurred. Last "Talk" May 1st, 2021 - (14 months from the start) I sent them a message regarding the design and having no desire of wanting it anymore. What led to my decision was the fact they had finished multiple comms that were accepted AFTER my purchase for the design and FINISHED before the completion. One given example is this: Trello: https://trello.com/c/JidbFFqZ Cancellation In conclusion, as a client, I'm thoroughly upset. Please, take caution when commissioning synthpolice. Having quality art does not equate to quality services. [Mod Edit]: After asking the client about a refund policy after the last pic, they responded that the artist has a "no refunds if the client cancels" clause. The artist has not contacted them since.
  4. Pretty simple, Ryun opened for $25 sketches, I claimed a slot, then we negotiated the price (I asked for something with an outfit/props and that raised the price to $30) and I never received it. I would attach the original tweet she posted, but she's since deleted it and my reply doesn't make sense without the context. This is the entirety of our conversation together, including a smaller screencap for the latest message due to the fuzzy date format. Then here's the proof that I paid her on June 20, 2019: At this point I have no confidence that she will ever get back to me, or that I will receive my art. She either straight-up ignores you or gives you the run-around. I know $30 doesn't seem like a lot of money, but I still paid for a service I'll likely never get. Also note that she changes her username a lot, and has her read receipts turned off on Twitter. Goes without saying, but I can't recommend purchasing from her.
  5. Hello, TL;DR: ChubbyCappie is keeping me on the hook for a $45 for five months with minimal communication and no proof of progress. ---- I never wanted to make a beware for any artist, but given the circumstances and the outcome at this point, my hand has been forced. It may not even be totally relevant for the future since they don't seem to be taking commissions outwardly anymore, but this was still a very poor experience, and warrants a beware as it is the only option I have at this point. For context, I have previously commissioned CC before (mid Sept of 2020) and was very happy with the result, not to mention receiving it within three days of me paying/first contacting. I didn't expect this to be any different, except for the fact I've now waited five months and have had minimal communication (all of which was from me to them; they never reached out to me first). ---- On November 24th, 2020, I contacted CC for another commission idea I had. I received a response the following day and sent my information to them, and I paid the invoice that day. Proof of payment (they don't have their name publicly available afaik so I censored it): Some time passes, it's now December 12th, and I haven't heard anything, so I reach out to them. I get a response on Dec 20th, and they ask for proof of payment, so I send it to them (censoring URL as it has the above screenshot but with less censored): This is the last time I heard from ChubbyCappie for months. Mid February of 2021 rolls around and I'm now getting frustrated. I responded to the last message they sent me (I hadn't received any others): I receive no response, so in mid March, I send an email to their PayPal email letting them know I'm still waiting and giving them the necessary information. The screenshot cuts off the full text, so I'll include it here, minus the image information. Hi, I paid you back on Nov 25, 2020 for a commission. The information is on Furaffinity. You’ve been silent on there but I follow your Twitter and have seen you active there. I’m wondering if I’m going to get my commission, or if that’s not possible, then I’d like to receive a refund. For simplicity’s sake, I’m going to include all relevant information here. I received no response and initiated a chargeback, and finally I received a response. SIDE NOTE: I learned too late to NEVER withdraw the claim, even if the artist asks (I was aware it couldn't be reopened but did it anyway), and that is on me, I know. Unfortunately, I did so, hence why I'm writing this beware, since I already made the mistake. Yes I'm still beating myself up for it. And no, I'm not happy that they asked me to cancel it. They may not realize that that's bad form, but still. The last time I heard from ChubbyCappie was April 7th, 2021. (link is NSFW so I censored it; the pose I wanted is only suggestive, and there is no NSFW detail in the original links so I didn't censor them) Now at the end of April and at my wits' end, I sent them this as a note and email, and then followed with the addendum note/email. They have not seen either yet on FA. Some people might think I didn't wait long enough after sending my final heads up before writing this, but consider: I've already been waiting five months I've been struggling to remain in contact Everyone I've vented to about this told me they wouldn't have waited this long I haven't seen a single WIP or any proof they've started on my commission I am a very patient, understanding client. I don't mind if people have delays, I understand internet issues. But given their recent activity on their other accounts, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable and honestly insulting, and I will only wait so long. ---- Conclusion: I feel awful that I closed the claim and should have either accepted a refund if they didn't want to deal with the limited time frame or done whatever else would have happened. I'm accepting that I will probably just have to bite the bullet on this one and accept the loss of $45, since while I don't believe at all that ChubbyCappie was out to scam me, they did. And that's unacceptable. They continue to be active on YouTube and Twitter and have gone inactive on their FurAffinity, so my only hope is that they catch wind that there is a beware on them and find a way to right this wrong, and I will gladly mark it resolved and move on with no lasting ill-will towards them. Thank you for reading. I hope something comes from this, but at this point, I don't know.
  6. I had originally commissioned them due to a recommendation from a friend for a partial fursuit for $500 and later on added sleeves for an additional $150 and another additional $50 for extra work needed for a total of $700. The commission was originally set for a FC'20 completion date. This was later pushed back to due supposed health concerns. This was consistently used as an excuse to push back the completion date to which there wasn't an actual set date. I had sent another telegram message to them back in August 2020 for a reminder (which had stayed unread) but deleted when I had posted those last 3 lines. I sent her those messages in hopes that she would do some work and at least just get a head since it would be less work than a partial but she has completely ghosted me. She had been consistently taking on other commissions while her backlog was increasing. She has deleted her "commissions" channel from Telegram as well which I was unfortunately unable to get the chat log from.
  7. Pepapen and her husband, Posepedia, had opened for collaborative commissions on March 27, 2021. I managed to get a slot for a single commission. Pepapen contacted me soon after, letting me know that the pair had accepted my submission for a commission. Here is the correspondence Pepapen and I had, coming to an agreement of terms for a single full body commission at $150 USD: Here is the proof of payment for the commission: About a little more than a week later, I was contacted by another individual with the handle Lainebrary on DeviantArt, who was messaging previous clients of Posepedia and Pepapen with compelling proof that the artist had been found to trace artwork. This prompted me to look for myself on one of the artist's webpages, where I found that I had been blocked by both Posepedia and Pepapen. As that had been the only method I knew to contact them at the time, I checked with an associate of mine to see if they were able to view their page for themselves. They found that they did have access to their DeviantArt page and decided to message them on my behalf: A few minutes after sending this message, both Pepapen and Posepedia had deactivated their DeviantArt accounts. As the website was the only way I had previously contacted them, I had no other known way to get in touch, short of emailing the PayPal address. However, because of the sudden closure of the account, followed by other accounts that could be found by searching their usernames on a search engine, I decided to go through PayPal to begin filing a claim. It was around this time I received this email from Posepedia through a previously unknown email: I do not have my email publicly available, so I took this as legitimate, since it is associated with my PayPal. I was offered a refund by a certain date, which has now passed and was not returned, and I have received no additional correspondence, even after replying to them and asking for the refund. As such, I have kept the claim with PayPal open and am now awaiting PayPal's ruling on the matter. While I have personal feelings on this matter, I wanted to present objective facts about my situation separate from them. With no communication, I feel it is appropriate to demand a refund, which has not been met as of the time of writing.
  8. Around the end of August 2020 I made a post in a facebook group for Custom Plushies asking to commission a plush maker for a plush of a character from the show Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go. One of the makers that approached me was a UK-based maker named Sona Simkova. On the post I asked them to send me a direct message with examples of their work. After they sent examples, I asked Sona if they had any social media accounts and this was their response. This is why they are referred to with their full name, as it is the only thing available ("Ockolapka" is from their public facebook page's URL). I agreed to commission them and on September 2nd 2020 I sent them payment via PayPal. Once the payment was given, I would message them every 1-2 months requesting updates on my commission. Being an artist myself, I'm more than understanding of how much time and work goes into making plushies so I never rushed them. In the beginning their responses seemed pretty normal delay responses. Now this I thought was slightly odd as they never mentioned before that my commission was in a queue, but I did tell them I was in no rush so I was understanding and let it go. Here is where I started to get worried. COVID-19 is no joke and of course if they did contract the virus I would want them to take it easy, but at the same time it started to get weirder and weirder that Sona was feeding me excuse after excuse. But I didn't want to think badly of them for it; I hated the idea of accusing them of being a liar during a deadly pandemic. However, this was also the start of their delayed responses, and I was started to get seriously annoyed that I was the only one initiating conversation. As you've seen in the previous responses, I had gotten a few "I forgot to tell you"s, so really I should've been a lot more suspicious much earlier on (Word is censored from their message because they put my last name). So once again I got radio silence, and it's getting close to me needed to move out of my current apartment so now I really needed my commission to be done sooner. At the same time I started to realize I might not even GET my commission, so I decided to twist the knife and see what happens. Unfortunately my fears were true. As you can see in my second response, Sona's facebook icon is next to it indicating they've seen the messages. They have now proceeded to ghost me and has not responded to my messages since. I reached out to one of the mods of the Plush facebook group about them and this was the response. Sona appears to be attempting to disappear, and has ran off with my money. I cannot open a dispute on Paypal because it's past their 180 day limit (which I will admit is on me for not keeping track on dates).
  9. "Emergency" summer pin-up YCH via FA submission circa July 13th 2018 meant to be completed within two weeks per the original posting. The submission that I had originally requested a slot from as well as the original request for payment from the artist has long since been deleted, but here is the paypal statement from it. I was rather busy during 2019, so I had let the commission sit dormant expecting it to be done at the artist's leisure, however around two two year mark of waiting (2020), I decided to follow up due to the extreme amount of time that has passed. Inbox record: Outbox record (including unread messages as of 4/13/2021) As can be noticed, several messages have gone unread over the last 5 months. This is in line with a previous artist beware I've now seen that was posted after my commission, and is also in line with multiple posts that are present in various journals /shouts the artist has on their furaffinity account. Record of notes I've had with the artist on Furaffinity, in chronological order: (Initial PM to them originally accepting my commission via FA submission) (Followup two years later) __________________________________ At this point, they had posted a journal on their FA that they had deleted their previous trello and made a new one - and to note them if you were missing from it. _________________________ I ended up hopping into one of their "OVERDUE COMMISSION ONLY" stream on picarto on Jan 13th, managing to give them a poke that I had sent them a note about my commission. (firefox history) They had posted a journal soon after this that were streaming via picarto. I had sent them a PM instream which also went ignored. (firefox history.) ___________________________ The artist has since been replying to people in journals taking additonal slots for work and various other responses.
  10. I won a Your Horse Here auction from the artist back on April 29th 2020 artist asked me to send them a note and I did with my email to get invoiced They never sent me the reply saying they had sent the invoice and I noticed it 5 days later when I logged in for another invoice. They had sent the invoice over as a Friends and Family request and I unfortunately was new at commissioning back then and did not know better then agree to that option. they never responded to my note when I found the invoice and let them know I paid it. I sent them another note in September checking for an update and I did get a Work In Progress image: since then I've asked for another update back in December I requested of them to do a character I had previously bought from them. I'd had other horses if he had been to complicated for it and would have been willing to change to a simpler horse if requested. to which it was marked as Read by fA but I was never replied to I sent another request for an update 3 weeks ago as we are quickly coming up to the 1 year mark since I commissioned the piece and the message is still marked as Unread they have recently posted finished pieces and more recently favored a new piece of art I have sent them a new message asking for either an update or a refund and will update when I get an answer to my latest note. I have some artists I have waited Longer then a year for. But that is with communication between myself and the artist. I am normally level headed and honestly I would not miss the $30 quite so much as unlike most I had steady work while others were in lock down and such. But with them ignoring my asking for updates and such. It rubs me the wrong way. I understand there might be things lost in translation, but I have worked with numerous artists who rely on translators to understand the work and I've not had any issues. So I'm feeling at this point that they don't really care about their smaller commissions, as I've seen art posted from their Iron Artist type stuff that was paid more for and art turned around faster then I have been waiting for this piece.
  11. In July of 2017 I attempted to purchase a fursuit from Lucky Gum Fursuits (see originalpurchase1edited.png and originalpurchase2edited.png). After a few years of waiting I asked for the refund that was promised in their terms of service. The buyer agreed to the refund and promised to pay me back every month until I got $1515 promised to me (see promisedrefund1edited.png and promisedrefund2edited.png). However I have not received any of the payments. I have made several attempts to contact the buyer again to work with them personally on how to best resolve the issue (see twittercommunication.png and attemptedfurthercommunicationyahooedited.png) but they have yet to contact me back.
  12. I was part of an auction of UtikaBu the auction is still here and his comment on winning. I won the auction on 25. Oct 2020 After this we exchanged our discord tags to talk about details there. We agreed to add some clothes to the picture wich would increase the price by 20 $ The artist was active and was slowly getting trough his queue all fine from this point so far. After some time he stopped posting stuff on FA and/or Twitter. This is where the silence began. After roughly 4 months I asked him for an update on his queue on 06. Feb. 2021. Sadly no response I waited and another month pasted and I sended him a note on FA on 15. Mar. 2021 Wich is still unread to this day I also wrote an email to his email address that is behind his paypal account he uses, wich reminds to look into the notes and discord messages. (Also no response yet)
  13. original agreement to the commission, as well as payment confirmation from them: A little more than a month had past and i simply asked for a possible update: About 2 weeks, maybe a bit less, later i had asked how much progress was made and if he'd been willing to use a different character than originally stated. he agreed and i sent a NSFW reference. (the character is the only thing blotted out here): And here, from September till February i had heard nothing until he posted an "apology" and stated that he'd have a sketch (meaning he lied about the rough sketch originally) that night. a month later i had asked for a refund. he said he would send the refund on Saturday march 13th. today marks the 20th of march: As a repeat. the ONLY thing blotted out is a NSFW character ref i had sent that he agreed to go with. nothing else is blotted out.
  14. I originally contacted Furfancy for a fursuit as of Sept 14, 2019. They provided me the link to their website and we continued with conversation from screenshot1.jpg: We had discussed the details and around December I made the initial payment for my partial fursuit for $2000 and the start date to begin working on the suit around the end of 2020. After December, I started making payments via Paypal. Thankfully, I requested a written contract on Jan 2, 2020. The contract was created and signed. (Not provided since it contains personal information of both client and seller) Aside from the occassional late response, things went fairly smoothly as I continued making payments. It wasn't until September that I started seeing some big red flags. I'll also note that in the contract provided, there was a 1-4 day window for communication which I thought was fairly reasonable. Going forward on this beware, it was mostly the lack of communication that resulted in me wishing to end this contract. On September 18, 2020, I sent the following message on telegram: At this point, the lack of communication was already becoming an issue. This was something that I tried to contact her on so that we could continue working around this but kept getting worse as things went on. Throughout this process, other commissioners were having the same experience as me and were backing out. On top of the fact that she was so far behind deadline and also the lack of communication, I was (and still am) worried that she has no intention of really completing my fursuit. Despite no work being done on the suit and breaking her own terms on her contract, she never offered me a full refund, and when I requested one eventually, she said that she could not provide a full refund. My initial $400 payment was non-refundable. If any work was done on the project or parts were already purchased, I may have understood. However, at this point, we are already a year after the initial request to commission a fursuit. There was no work completed and still 20 people in the queue before me which meant I would need to wait approximately another two years before she could even start working on my fursuit. At this time, I had also joined her group chat which I will not provide screenshots of since Victoria largely provides updates via voice messages. Every update that was provided has been about personal problems and why she needs to extend her deadlines for all of her clients. These were the only updates that were provided for approximately a year. I can sympethize with these problems. However, I paid $2000 for a commission. This means that I'm working with a company to provide me with a product. I understand that roadblocks occur, but at no point of the process did Victoria hold any accountability or responsibililty. This screenshot is from September 22, 2020. Please keep that in mind while you look at the next screenshot from October 2, 2020. This last screenshot I found out that she had apparently purchased my furs apparently months ago and didn't bother to inform me. "If a charge back is made, I'm going to assume you no longer want the slot. If you are backing out 35% is non refundable." If the communication up to this point was a red flag, then threatening me for 35% of what I paid so that I can guarantee I don't get screwed through this process should be just straight up illegal. At this point, I managed to call her. Only after a full year, did she share her trello board with me. I contacted her asking her to update her contract for a deadline and a full refund if she did not complete the fursuit by August 1, 2021. After signing the new contract, we stopped communicating for a while. Then we pick back up in February. At this point, this brings us up to where we are currently in the discussion and I'm mentally checked out of this whole process. I just want my full refund so I can move on with my life. I was really looking forward to commissioning my first fursuit and now I'm not sure if I want one anymore. Victoria has completely ruined the idea of fursuiting for me at this point.
  15. I payed for this YCH (down below) Since I like bigger proportions I asked which did increase the price Sent payment after I sent payment I waited quite a bit since I usually like to give the artist time before asking for progress. though almost a year is pretty bad without them messaging me. So I sent a message to their manager asking if I could get a refund. Nothing was sent so I messaged the manager again 3 months later I was hoping the manager would have it settled, not the case they never responded after that. So I messaged the artist. Thought that would have fixed it wrong again. Still waited on good faith. They read the next note but never responded I started to get frustrated so now every month I send them a paypal money request They wont respond to notes or paypal request's. So here I am putting up an Artist Beware
  16. I contacted the artist known as Coyot_Tea at the time in reference to an open commission post made 02/09/2020 for a full body character painting. Discussion was quick and they responded within 20 minutes, where references were provided and payment exchanged. Deadline was self imposed by the artist within 2 months. Once the deadline was met I contacted the artist asking for an update. I was told that they were experiencing computer issues, and that once resolved my commission would be completed. Since then the artist has made no attempt to contact me, and since created a new account that they use to post their art (Sudo443) and is currently ignoring my messages. No contact has been had since 04/21/2020
  17. Outline: (The artist has had me on queue since April 27th, 2020 but has since taken me off completely and archived in December) The following is the commission I purchased from YCH.Commishes, it was won in a bid for $75 so that it could be shaded. Their own ToS said that you will receive finished work in 14-days but they stated they were sick so I delayed & gave them necessary time+space. It became a long line of ignored notes, ignored messages and other things that went without response. There was a period where they put the commission on hold in their queue as well but they quickly moved that to "In-Progress" once I asked them about it again. It remained in progress until recently. I hope that the outcome of this can be either a full refund or the art returned. Following the successful bid, I paid the artist immediately and even covered the fees on my end. Me communicating with the artist concerning it being on hold on the website, it was later lifted. I submitted the details not only over FurAffinity but also on discord where not only they confirmed receiving the payment but also the rest of the details. This was the last + only communication I had with them over discord. I messaged them first on the delays in August, then again throughout the months but they neglected to respond - but did read them.
  18. In October 2017, I commissioned Juicysuits for a full plantigrade suit (suit's name is Terror) for $2200. When I did, I was given a soft deadline of around 2-3 months. I paid via down payment, and sort payment plan. I sent my DTD, and the process started, or so I thought. At this point, there were around 8 partial suits in front of me. Over the next few months, I asked about the deadlines, and it kept getting pushed back. Here's some examples from 2019, and she still hadn't started my suit. Note: The "3 suits needing to be done ASAP was untrue. There were still 6 suits ahead of me. The queue was NEVER cleared. She promised me that she'd start making smaller parts of my suit. Never happened. The only thing I got was a 3d printed bas that was used for all big cat suits. It could've been for anyone else, however. I also want to note that she spent my fursuit money on other things. There's two ways I know this. One, she, in the middle of a long queue already, posted this on her twitter for more money: Finally, after THREE YEARS, I threw in the towel. No progress at all, and she was finishing suits at a speed of two partials per year. At this rate, I'd be 23 or so by the time Terror would be done (I was 18 when I ordered, I'm 21 now). She told me that there could be a payment plan, but I got my lawyer Aunt involved, and I got all my money back. So beware of Juicysuits. DO NOT commission her, she will spend all of your money and then finish your suit in 6 years or so. I recommend you commission her when her business practices improve, which I hope is after she completes the remaining suits in her queue. She was as nice as she could be, but her business practices are extremely lacking. I never got Terror, nothing at all. I'm almost too scared to commission anyone else out of fear of repeating the same process.
  19. Outline: -Original Agreement: Besped (aka Datfox on Discord) came to me on Discord after talking to me on FurAffinity in notes, where we exchanged our Discord names/codes. We talked in short detail about doing an animation for me containing just a single character in color of approximately four to six seconds. The total price of this animation quoted to me by Besped was $250, which we agreed to split into two separate invoices for $125 each. The first invoice was paid on December 23rd, 2019 while the second one was paid on March 13th, 2020. After March 24th, all communication form Besped/Datfox ceased for no discernible reason. They have not blocked me or unfriend and remain unresponsive after expressing my anger in no communication. - Proof of payment: Total is for $250, invoices were split into two for $125 each, paid in December 2019 and March 2020. See screenshots. - Any discussion with Besped/Datfox has solely been on discord as they seem to have gone quiet on FurAffinity, except for contacting certain users by notes. I have gotten all of my correspondence with Besped/Datfox in the screenshots provided. Any sort of contact information for any other location online does not appear to exist so finding alternative methods to contact the artist has been difficult. Most recent contact, unread.
  20. I had commissioned @RalohsA / Jerry#1414 on discord, back in January of 2019. We had agreed he would do a reference sheet of my character both a SFW and NSFW. Originally we had discussed the idea in December of the previous year and I wanted to get some prices and wait for a paycheck to come in. After sending them the agreed upon $60 I waited roughly a week and asked for a status update on the piece for I had not heard anything from them whatsoever. They said they were in the middle of doing their finals and that was reasonable. From there they never messaged me on the commission till April 24th 2020. They asked on the 24th if they could make it up to me with a full colored piece and $15 back to make up the difference. He had also forgotten the agreed upon amount of $60, but I did not want to cause any trouble and just wanted something for my troubles so I agreed. I then messaged him for an update on May 2nd for an update since I had not had one yet again. They used the same excuse of school as before. We exchanged conversation on May 20th and finally on June 19th of 2020 and have still never received anything, be it money or art. They have been taken other commissions over the time I have been waiting as can be seen on their twitter.
  21. Summary: In December of 2017, I paid the artist $110 to create a single character, colored animation loop. A rough work-in-progress was shown in January of 2019, but the artist has ignored contact since then and still has not delivered a finished product. Timeline: 12/01/2017: Xhybora contacted me via note on Furaffinity, asking if I would be interested in commissioning an animation from them. [1] 12/03/2017: We moved our conversation to Discord, where we discussed the particulars of what would be made and how much it would cost. The final agreement was that it would be a single character, colored, looping animation for the price of $110. [2] [3] [4] Later that day they sent me a PayPal invoice, which I paid, and was confirmed to have been so by them. (I have the transaction info if needed, I just didn’t include a screenshot because it was under the artist’s real life full name) [5] 04/16/2018: The artist messaged me through Discord that they would be providing a progress update soon. [6] 06/21/2018: Concerned that it had been 6 months without any proper update, I contacted the artist asking for a progress update. The artist responded assuring me I would get an update the next day. [7] 06/23/2018: Two days later, I messaged them asking about the update they had promised. I received no response. [8] 07/27/2018: A month later, I asked more forcefully, this time specifically asking for a WIP. [9] 08/02/2018: The artist said they would be going on a trip, but would provide a WIP as soon as they get back, claiming to have already started animating the commission. [9] 09/03/2018: After another month of radio silence, I asked again about the WIP they had promised. [9] 01/07/2019: After seeing a Twitter thread of several other people claiming to have commissioned Xhybora and never gotten a finished product, I delivered an ultimatum to the artist on Discord: Either provide me with a WIP or refund what I had paid. The artist responded that same day asking to talk. [10] They sent two rough WIPs [11], and I apologized for doubting them. The artist then admitted that the Twitter thread was true and that there were others who had been left hanging like I had, but the artist assured me that they were working to make things right with all of us. [12] 03/27/2019: The artist contacted me via Discord saying that the animation would be finished in 2 weeks, but inquired if I would like more added to it. I told them I didn’t have the money to do so and they said ok. [13] [14] This would be the last I ever heard from the artist. I have tried messaging them on discord but have gotten no replies. I noted them on FurAffinity but have gotten no reply. I left shouts on their FurAffinity page, that have been removed by the artist, after which they blocked me on the site. [15]
  22. Explanation: Commissioned a fursuit tail, commission completed but never shipped??? Lack of contact/lying from maker. Proof of deadline agreement: Proof of payment: Commission was completed 12/03/2020: Communication starts to wane: I never received the tracking number or any proof of postage. Most of the responses from here on out were very short and lacked explanation of any kind. At this point I was starting to get a bit nervous and proposed a refund. They used my tail in another commission opening post on twitter and Instagram. When I looked into their Instagram I found a few comments from commissioners complaining about not receiving their commissions. (I cannot make any statements on these peoples behalf's and have no proof of their transactions. These screenshots are only provided to explain my motivation for filing a Paypal dispute.) [Proxy removed by staff. Submissions may only mention your transaction, and not others] I eventually decided to go through with the chargeback which closed in my favor on Jan 31st 2020. Was a really hard decision for me this time since they had actually completed the tail. I did say that I would be willing to send the money straight back to them if I received a tracking number or proof of postage. But unfortunately I haven't received any messages since.
  23. -Original Agreement: "YCH with car" for $15 back in January 2018. My Character with a specified car. I can't remember exactly when I bought the YCH on FurAffinity, but the first Message from them arived on January 4th, 2018, payment was on January 5th, 2018. This was my very first attempt at a commission/YCH so I waited patiently. On August 12th, 2018 I reached out to see if we were going anywhere. They said they are a bit out of the loop, but would be posting soon. Nothing ever heard from them again. So now, 3 years in, i'm finally calling it done for good. $15 ist not the world, but still a very bad first experience.
  24. Summary: Paid artist Hi-Ku for a $50 sketch commission on 22DEC2019. After over a year she has supplied exactly one update asking to change the sketch type and has ceased communicating on FA. Her Twitter, Deviantart, and Tumblr have all been deleted. On 22DEC2019, this transaction took place where I paid Hi-Ku for a sketch commission of a character I had previously purchased from her: Here is the PayPal record of the original payment: The next dialogue between us was on 27FEB2020, when she apologized for the delay and asked to change the sketch type due to burnout: Since then I have received no answers to requests for updates on FA or Twitter. She has ceased posting on both her FA and VK accounts, and has deleted her DeviantArt and Tumblr accounts. She seems determined to disappear entirely. Her 'to-do' list has remained unchanged since she updated it after our communication in February 2020:
