About Me

  1. I thought I got a steal. 3 Months ago I purchased two commissions from this artist at the same time. The transaction was paid for and done the same day in the same receipt. I made multiple attempts to receive the work and never did. Was just led on time after time while watching their queues fill with more and more work they were somehow producing and still getting paid for by other people. On month 3 I messaged for a refund and was told to search through the SCRAPS on their FA, link them to the two I want that AREN'T the originals I paid for, link them my reference again, and they would finish it in a week. At this point I am making this because they flood FA with YCHs but have been finishing commissions of favorites firstly. Others like me go without ours for months even with reminders. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_04/Screenshot_20200423-062625.png.d87535b97f84221e11158d2e3e8f14d5.png 05.03.20: No refund has come.
  2. On September 1st 2019. I commissioned ArtsyPosy on twitter to draw a badge of my soon to be suit, Wad the cat. They first contacted me on August 31st 2019, and we discussed the details of my badge. I sent payment via PayPal, and I sent them a screenshot of the receipt. They also confirmed my payment. I set no specific due date because they said they were busy, but they said it could be done around mid-late September. The next day on September 2nd, I messaged them because the reference I sent them needed a small change. I decided to change the colour of his feet to black, so when fursuiting, his paws would not be dirty (originally white). I sent an updated reference, and they confirmed the changes, promising to even make a note on their monitor to not forget. They had not started my commission at this point. I sent messages throughout the 17th of September. We chatted together about how my suit progress was going, and things seemed okay. They were saying they were working on other art, though and were busy doing other things. I didn’t care because it was only mid September. They stopped messaging until the 27th. They told me on September 27th that the commission would be done by October 19th 2019. It’s a little later than planned, but it wasn’t unreasonable. They then went silent again, and they posted they weren’t feeling the best. I felt bad, but I also wanted to keep contact, so I sent some wholesome dog memes to keep communication going. I sent messages in October and November. On December 24th, 2019, they finally replied, but they still had no update for me. I was just relieved to hear from them, but I was suspecting something was amiss. They said they’d give me a work in progress photo, but none came. They also said that I hadn’t paid. I sent them the screenshot of the PayPal receipt I messaged to them the moment I first paid. They then told me that they mistakenly had me on their waitlist still. They then told me they’d just be starting my commission. On January 3rd 2020, they messaged me asking what colour I’d like the background to be. I had specified white before, so I clarified that. They said I would have the piece the following Sunday. They verified this on January 7th 2020. Then they cut off communication again. On March 9th 2020, they finally messaged me again. They said I’d have my art by at least that Thursday. They told me because of the wait, I’d receive a free sketch as well. I was excited, but I did not receive the art. They did not message me until March 31st 2020. They said their WiFi went out. I told them I had waited quite a while, and I hoped to see the badge soon (this is digital by the way: they didn’t have to print/laminate/mail anything to me). They responded by saying the virus was stressing them out, and I understand that, but this was supposedly finished a while ago. They also said that my change (the clarified feet paw colour change from September 2nd 2019) and the sketch (given to me for waiting so long) was causing them to delay further. At this point, I had enough and was very honest with them saying, “I would much rather have the original art first… I hope this is understandable. We already clarified the change 3 months ago, and the change was made the day after I ordered the commission (September 1st changed September 2nd). I know this does make it trickier, and I do apologise, but this information was told a while ago. I’m nervous about waiting more months when the artwork is already completed for a sketch. I just want to be very open about how I feel about that.” They responded with saying they acknowledged my delays, but they said they’d send my art with the chibi anyway that next Thursday. They said they couldn’t send updates or the final piece because their rabbit had chewed their charging cord. It’s been another 2 weeks and they have not emailed/messaged me the images. It is now April 15th 2020, and it was supposed to be done before October. At this point, my opinion cannot be swayed even if I ever end up receiving the art. Their management and customer service is poor, providing dozens of deadlines and providing many excuses. I am beyond tired, and I advise that potential clients exercise caution when ordering art from ArtsyPosy. I will try to see if I can ever get my art to post and update this experience
  3. Last year in October I contacted this artist for a two-character commission with scenery, and since then, I have not received any works-in-progress or anything. I've occasionally noted her to ask for updates regarding my piece, and this was the last reply I received from her: I did not receive an update January 11, and while I have sent additional Notes since then asking for updates, she read my notes, but didn't reply to them: However, she constantly posts YCHs and is very active on FurAffinity: I just don't like the feeling I'm being ignored, and I'm not being rude, or anything.
  4. I commissioned Glowner back in 2019 for some NSFW commission art and haven't been getting the promised product at all. Sadly a lot of chat history is not available anymore since the Discord Server this was originally on has been deleted and I saw no need saving anything as I had no reason to distrust the artist, as I was still fairly new to commissioning and not knowing that taking safety proof would be a good idea. I did not contact them for a long time until I saw them posting some art or generally talking on Twitter, which continued after I contacted them on Discord for my refund. I contacted them somewhat regularly to avoid a block due to being too pushy, but still am waiting on any update. Instead they continued posting elsewhere, as on Discord and Twitter. I frankly feel like I am being ghosted/neglected and I feel I will not be repaid. I am still being owed 200 bucks.
  5. I ordered 4 commissions from Artararam before where the commissions were drawn semi professionally without any major problems and everything that I complained in pre-release versions were fixed in the final version of the art pieces. Everything quite normal for a NFSW artist like her. Artararam was never the fastest artist when it comes to draw commissions, the progress was slow, but steady. I usually give artists a period of 1 month before I contact them and ask for updates as this is a reasonable period where a change could be done with the artwork without putting too much stress on the artists. I commissioned Artararam with 2 NSFW art commissions: July, 28th 2019, 1 character (for 40 USD), payment sent July, 29th 2019 to her PayPal address August, 14th 2019, 2 characters (for 90 USD), payment sent the same day to her PayPal address Total: 130 USD I received 2 WIP snapshots of the 1st commission from Artararam as requested at September, 27th and September, 28th. The lineart of commission 1 is done, with a few adjustments and a sketch from me showing what looks wrong because the Artararam is not very good in English. I send her a note at FA at November, 1st 2019 asking if she was able to continue to draw my commissions and I noticed that my note at FA was unread for a long time. Artararam posted a journal at her FA account a few days later (November, 6th 2019). My faith in this artist is a little bit lost. I waited 3 months and contacted them at their Telegram account at January, 19th and January, 20th 2020 and got a very generic answer that "I'll send you all the process I have today or tomorrow morning!". Nothing happened after this date, she didn't answered over Telegram for nearly 3 months from now. I would accept the following solutions: Fully completed, delivered artwork for both commissions Partial or full refund for commission 1 and full refund for commission 2 PS: I struggled a lot before I decided to post here, after I've spoken with other guys that commissioned her. I think her journal sounds reasonable. I'm aware that she is treated by the law of Russia as a homosexual artist, I understand why she escaped from Russia to Ukraine. I can't understand why she wasn't able to get the Ukrainian citizenship before she left Russia and why she doesn't stopped to accept commissions and finish the accepted commissions first. I don't want to destroy her NSFW artist career, but she shows a very unprofessional behavior that I can't really tolerate. ~Ashnu Attachments: Proof commission 1: Proof commission 2: Notes from Artararam for commission 1: FA Journal: Telegram conversation:
  6. TankDragon ran a YCH (Link here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30306472/ ) over a year ago, in which I won a slot for 85$. It was called his Final Winter YCH, or also his 6th YCH. The censoring in the following picture removes my name address, and monetary information. He also also charged the person who came in after the YCHs close for the same slot that he charged me for. Since this time, he has repeatedly said I would get a WIP soon as I checked in every few months. However, the friend who bid after close showed me he had gotten a WIP with him in my slot instead (far left predator slot). My character is not a dragon. I have not been able to get a WIP of the YCH from the artist, and believe he has now just ran off with the money as it is now well past Paypals 180 day return period. He does still respond, but it is always with the same line of: It will be soon. Now, at a loss for other options, I submit this beware so others may not lose money to this artist.
  7. As for the "What": Several month's worth of physical Patreon rewards. I marked the "When" as when she stopped providing what I was paying for. As I recall, the Con*Tact company is run by two people, but Maly is the most particularly active/public and does a lot of sales under the name, as well as tie her Patreon to the company, so I felt that was relevant to connect. I had been supporting Maly's Patreon since October 2017 under the most basic receive physical reward tier. For the next few years, she posted updates and sent out rewards just fine -- she was super kind, she always replied to messages, and I had no issues. It wasn't until months ago she stopped posting updates, as well as sending out the promised rewards. (Notice the most "recent" update was from June, 10th 2019.) I had gotten so used to getting the packages in the mail without an issue that I didn't really notice I wasn't getting them, but checking my records confirms that the last reward she'd ever sent me was in April of last year. Yet the whole time, she continued to charge for rewards, as if everything was carrying on normally. (Whenever Maly would mail out Patreon rewards, she'd send out a Paypal email like any of her normal Con*Tact orders including the tracking, my last one was from April, 3rd 2019.) Upon realizing this, I tried to send her a Patreon message to ask about it, which was met with no response. I checked her twitter, noticing she was frequently active on it, and tried to DM her. The first message was ignored, but the second time, I got a response. She herself confirms she had not been sending out rewards, and promised to send out large packages to make up for everything she's missed. I'm a fairly understanding and patient person, and I'm happy she finally addresses the issue and promise to try to better things. I give her time, and wait it out to see if I get anything. Time passes, and nothing comes. I don't get the rewards I was promised, and I also never get any sort of verbal follow-up. I try to poke her again... and again... and again. And am met by being ignored and left on read each time. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and ample time to get things together, I finally caved and gave an ultimatum after finally withdrawing my Patreon pledge. Perhaps something I should have done far earlier, my mistake. (This was the last time I had money taken from me. Though I will note that she did NOT charge for one month back in January, which had made me believe she was being genuine about wanting to make things right. She however went back to charging the month right after.) As far as I'm aware, you cannot dispute undelivered Patreon rewards/updates -- and I'd honestly rather not get a refund. I've been a huge fan of Con*Tact and their products for years, and more than anything I want this solved so I can go back to supporting them. But with this refusal to even speak to me, I'm at a loss for what to do.
  8. This beware is concerning the artist Space (spacemuttt) who did not deliver commissioned artwork and since disappeared. On October 29th of 2018 (verified by payment detail below) I purchased an icon from the artist Space. Subsequently, on November the 1st of 2018 (conversation confirming payment occurring the following day) I decided to also claim a slot in a single-slot YCH the artist was hosting. The artist did not ever deliver the items, and instead only dodged contact attempts or made excuses. On the 29th of November, the artist contacted me claiming personal reasons that prevented them from completing the art, and noted it would be done soon. I'm quite a patient commissioner, so the net time I follow up isn't until around February 16th of 2019. I again hear nothing for a while, and decide to follow up in April, asking for the art or a refund. I get the following response on April 10th, 2019. This is the continued conversation after following up as requested. The artist claims they finished the chibi headshot, but doesn't provide me any link, nor do they post it. I respond thanking them for the update, and also noting that they never sent the headshot. On the 18th of April 2019, 6 days later, I follow up again with no response. As you can see, my FA Outbox has registered that the note sent was never read by the recipient. On the 20th of July 2019, I send this note as a final status check, it too is unread as seen below. The artist then disables their FA page. This artist clearly dodged communication and made up excuses as to why they couldn't complete the art. As shown, I tried to be as patient as possible with them. After attempting to work this out via the above communications, I attempted to file a chargeback on both charges but, as is PayPal policy, too much time had elapsed. I no longer want the artwork, the only acceptable resolution at this time is for the money to be refunded.
  9. - Dec 5th: I was approached by Lenny about a secondlife texture commission, All went well and the commission was accepted, parts were discussed and I sent off an invoice. - Dec 6th: Invoice was paid. I also provided an estimated deadline of Dec 15th - Dec 13th: I found parts that I thought would suit the character better and provided links for the commissioner to view in order to make a decision, The commissioner decided on the new part I suggested and I started work on it swiftly afterwards. Lenny started to make me uncomfortable asking about me texturing NSFW parts that my TOS states I do not work on. This can be seen within the full SL convo screenshot. During this time Lenny also stated he was going to “RIP” some textures from an object, On secondlife this term is used when a user illegally steals a texture using a third party program, I do NOT condone this in any way shape or form, This made me very uncomfortable as I was now left wondering if I could trust Lenny not to RIP and resell my own work once completed.Shortly after we hit some bumps in terms of things not being correct on the textures, I swiftly made fixes to his request however he started to ask for changes that were not shown on his reference sheet so it became hard for me to follow as I wasn’t made aware of this during the commission order. I suggested in the future Lenny should perhaps consider getting an updated reference sheet or create one with one of the MANY free art bases in the Furry community. Sometime later Lenny asked me if my textures would be fullperm, This isn’t something usually provided with Secondlife texture commissions and this made me rather uncomfortable due to him previously talking about having to "rip" a texture. In light of all the prior issues and the uncomfortable feelings in the air I decided that it would simply be for the best for me to provide a full refund immediately. Lenny responded with aggression stating I had refused their commission because of their own personal IRL issues, this wasn’t the case at all. I simply refunded due to being VERY uncomfortable working with Lenny. I later found out that the texture he was going to “rip” came as free to use. Regarldess it was still an NSFW body part that I had expressed I do not work with. My choice to refund was still solid and I did not wish to continue working with Lenny any longer, Lenny continued to push for me to work on his commission and to cancel the refund this lead to me having to repeatedly express that I would not work on this commission any longer, Eventually he gave up. - Dec 20th: Lenny apologized, I accepted this apology. Lenny expressed that the refund was still pending which was due to the way paypal refunds as the funds came out of my account minutes after I provided the refund, I sent Lenny links to Paypal’s FAQ so he understood why it was still pending. We then began talking about him re-commissioning me for his SL textures which I accepted as it was coming up to Christmas and I didn’t want there to be any bad blood and I assumed the prior happenings were just a one time thing and wouldn’t happen again. We decided to use a Free to use base in order to map out their markings better in order for a swifter completion of the second life mod, This ref wasn’t anything spectacular it was simply made for me to be able to visualize exactly where and what shape the markings needed to be, Eventually Lenny decided on one of the marking layouts I had created and I went ahead with sending out a second invoice. Lenny proceeded to make some really awkward joke about just getting out of jail and being -2912 in his bank? Which was very odd but I just laughed it off as he stated it was a joke and he paid the invoice shortly after. I sent out some wips of the body and immediately hit some bumps, He expressed things needed to be fixed, I swiftly worked on those and provided more wips, which again Lenny expressed they were wrong and I fixed them. At this point I was growing frustrated as we had JUST made a make shift reference for me to follow that Lenny himself had approved before I started working. Regardless of the issues I continued working on the second life mod and making constant fixes, I just wanted to complete the commission to the best of my ability in order to move on from this experience. I finished the secondlife mod on the 20th, The same day that Lenny had commissioned me, He said that everything looked good, I sent over his SL mod and he seemed pleased with his purchase. Shortly after he asked for some color codes which I provided. An hour later Lenny messaged me again, Asking for a screenshot of my Fullperm texture, Something that I had already expressed that I do NOT provide. His reasoning is he wanted someone else to work on something and they needed it, I declined and stated they’d simply need his color code in order for those parts to match. - Dec 23rd&25th: Lenny asked about textures for three different parts, Nothing came of this and no commissions were taken in the result of these questions. Conversation screencaps. Warning! The images are large. https://imgur.com/a/NTWBgRs - Jan 17th: Lenny messaged me again asking for fixes to his mod, I declined as I do not offer free edits after the commission has been confirmed for over 3 days, It had been nearly 4weeks since he had accepted his finished commission. Lenny replied with an emoji and then blocked me. I tired to reply to his emoji BUT I couldn’t as I had been blocked. - March 7th: Lenny contacted me on Secondlife asking for help with his neck and also asked about an additional commission. I expressed that I would be more than happy to help with his issues to the best of my ability however I was not interested in doing business with him beyond that. I was met with an extremely unexpected outburst of rage, regardless of how I had just been treated I kept a cool, professional front and tried to reply however I had been blocked again. I checked FA some time after to see I had a note from Lenny, This note can be seen below. Shortly after I noticed he had posted a journal that I can only assume is about me.
  10. In July of 2019 I preordered a set of kaiju pins from Squeedgemonster, and they received my money the same day. In the proceeding months the pins were never sent, although they were received by the artist by October. The artist provided their e-mail to send all questions to, as they were purging their social media accounts of accounts that they were following, and closed their DMs on those websites. However, since October, they have not answered a single one of these emails, and have not spoken about the pins at all since December, despite being active since then. The following is the original announcement tweet, from March 29 2019. (archive) (note: squeedge.art has since become defunct) Although this tweet says that preorders were to close in April, they were not actually closed, as that is how I was able to order them myself, and how the artist was able to receive my money. Unfortunately I do not have a dated screenshot of this from the day I ordered it; I'm not in the habit of doing that, anyway, and squeedge.art is also now defunct. However, in this tweet they tell another user that preorders are staying open after the originally specified date: (archive) Here is the screenshot of my Transaction ID, retrieved from my PayPal: In this tweet Squeedge, on October 1 2019, shows the pins and claims that they now have them, and will ship them ASAP: (archive) I replied to this tweet as follows. At the time of writing, this is the only correspondence they have had with me personally at all in regards to this order. (archive) (context: at the time the artist did not have their gmail in their twitter bio, but at the time of writing, they now do.) However, the following is the ONLY time they have mentioned the pins since then, and they had (and still have) yet to answer any of my emails: (archive) The following screenshot consists of all of the emails I have sent them. Do note the entire lack of response on their part, although my emails were sent shortly after a spurt of Twitter activity, in hopes of "catching" them: I have been very patient and understanding in this process, I would like to think. I have even offered to pay for shipping again, because I understand the money originally set aside for shipping more than likely had to be spent on other necessities. However, the complete lack of response in spite of subsequent online activity is very troubling to me. I just don't know what else to do. I'm well past Paypal's buyer protection window, and since I purchased the pins with my Paypal balance it's not like I could call my bank and dispute it that way. At this point I just want a response. I do not think that is an unreasonable expectation for an artist.
  11. On November 24th 2019 at 11:33 pm EST I messaged Moki on Furry Amino, asking if they were willing to trade a Protogen Head (later head and Hand paws) for my Mini Partial Monster Dog suit (now referred to as Pound Cake). At 11:53 pm EST Moki responded and asked for pictures, very quickly declaring they “really love him” and accepted the trade. This sparked a quick succession of messages, us both gathering addresses, proof of ownership, and further information on each other’s suits. While I told them of my worry of having suits stolen, as I had problems with Pound Cake when I traded for him, Moki quelled my fears and we agreed to send both suits out at the same time the next day on November 25th 2019. We continued to chat, an open friendly conversation about different suits and the tracking numbers were exchanged. They found a problem with the tracking number I sent and I very quickly fixed it, it was a simple type-o on my end, but when I started raising concerns about the number they sent me, I was ghosted for many days. The suit was due to arrive on Dec. 6th, it of course never came. They once again calmed me down by reminding me it was around the holidays so packages get a bit wonky. Around this time Pound Cake arrived at their Customs. It was supposedly around 100 Usd to get it out of customs. They claimed to not have the money, then suddenly came into the money when their dad lent them some, and then suddenly was unable to afford it again. At the time I didn’t connect the dots but now I am fully aware this is the point where they stole my suit. At this point it was December 12th and the Protogen I traded for was still sitting in the post office because they “wouldn’t accept my address” After many days of back and forths they went on Vacation, promising to send it when they get back. In the messages below I contacted them On Dec. 23rd, a Monday, and then waited until the 28th to contact again. Through this whole time I was ghosted. They finally contacted me in early January (I have lost those screenshots) and asked to stop the trade. I agreed, thinking that Pound Cake was still in Customs. They told me that the suit would be sent back before the first week of February when no one picked it up. It is currently March when I am writing this beware. During the time of trying to get in touch with Moki, also known as HTT Creations on other sites like facebook, instagram, DA, FA, and patreon, I posted Warnings on their Furry Amino, and wonone got back with me. They gave me Moki’s insta, where they proclaimed to not know me, never traded suits with me, and then blocked me. I then messaged them on every site I could find them on, all listed above, to no avail. I even got in touch with Pound Cakes maker, and had them help me. During this time of trying to talk with them for the first time in months, I found out that they had already traded the Protogen suit, I am unsure if this was before or after our trade agreement but it it appears to have be either During or before our agreement since the suit they traded for has been on their social medias for a while. Leading me to believe they started the trade with me without having the suit. Below is the conversation between me and Moki on Furry Amino, ranging from November 24th, to February 24th when I finally stopped messaging them since they ghosted me for so long. That was the last I heard from them on Furry Amino. On March 3rd I got a message from someone (who wishes to remain unknown) and they gave me Moki”s Instagram. Below are the screenshots of the Instagram messaged between Myself and Moki/ HTT Creations on Instagram. Things may get a bit confusing since these messages were happening at the same time as I talked with Unknown. After clarifying who I was I was promptly Blocked. I continued to try and get in touch with them through all their social media to no avail, even contacting Pound Cake’s maker who also helped me message them, SourAppleSuits on Instagram was left on read and ignored. TLDR: Moki Coyoti/ HTT Creations agreed to trade their protogen suit with my Monster Dog suit named Pound Cake on Nov.24th 2019. They cut all contact after 3 months and I was told they would send him back. I never got my suit. March 3rd rolled around and I was contacted by Unknown with their instagram (known as htt_creations) and when I tried to message them they blocked me. I also found out they have already traded the Protogen suit for another suit before/during our ongoing trade. I am still blocked and have gotten no response. Thank you so much for reading, below is the last pictures I have of Pound Cake. He is currently somewhere in Ontario Canada. If seen, Report it as stolen to the local police and contact me On Twitter @Buttercream243, or by email [email protected]. A reward of an Artistic Liberty mini partial will be given to whoever finds and returns the suit.
  12. This beware is about an artist going by Delta, Deltarune, or Rabbitmonster. They deleted their discord account after abandoning their trade after partial payment. The trade was for 2 emotes, and Delta completed 1 emote before deleting their account and stopping all communication with me. They had received my half of the trade at full original size right before the communication stopped. On 5/24/2019, a user named Delta initiated a trade with me after finding my post in the Furry Nexus discord server about wanting to trade some art for a few emojis. (Image is my post in the Furry Nexus channel) They have since deleted their discord account, so this is a bit more difficult. If I need to include anything extra to help with this beware because of it, please let me know. Every screenshot included is our chat from start to finish, with nothing skipped. (Can show message overlap on screenshots if needed) Delta DM'd me to talk about the trade and show examples of their art. I gave them my offer of 1 fullbody sketch for 2 small emotes by them and they accepted. We exchanged more information and they linked me their trello, which wasn't working but they never gave me a working link. We finished exchanging characters and they changed their order to the character Deltarune, which is the same character in their Deviantart gallery above. I sent my WIP of my side of the trade, pretty much finished except for the T-Shirt design, while we were deciding on one. It was a small WIP and not the full-size file. On 5/27, the same day as the above screenshot, they sent the first of 2 the two emojis. I responded 1 day later expressing my approval, and then sent over my full size file of my trade half 2 days later when I finished it. After they received my full size trade, they expressed that they were making a server and they were busy, but would get to it soon. After this, I had no further contact with them for 2 months, when they responded to say they were in Florida and thanked me for reminding them. That was the last I had heard of them, as they deleted their discord account shortly after this. At the time I would have been fine to cancel the trade where it stood (1 emote for 1 colored/shaded fullbody sketch) if Delta had communicated with me what was going on, but by deleting their account it makes me feel that they just did the trade to throw a quick emote at me and bail with my art as soon as I sent it. I am mostly upset about my art being taken before the conclusion of the trade more than anything. I would consider the situation resolved if Delta communicated to me and completed the second owed emote, or some other form of art.
  13. I got in contact with the artist in question in mid-October. I had commissioned them once before, years ago, and was very happy with the finished product. A commission was agreed upon. An initial sketch was received via email on 27 December, 2019, and payment was sent via Western Union, along with an agreement for some additional material. After payment was made, the last contact I received from the artist was on the 28th of December. All further attempts to respond have gone unanswered.
  14. Originally commissioned the artist back in October of 2018. Some time went by and I found they were taking a hiatus for mental health. Perfectly fine and reasonable. When they returned in the middle of 2019 I messaged them, to make sure I was not forgotten and in que. I gave them the details again. I then messaged them afterwards a few times asking for an update, only for the messages to have been marked as read with no response to them.
  15. This was a piece I commissioned a year ago today. Artist sent the sketch, I asked for modifications since they were redoing the pose (allegedly). Modification request was ignored, still okay with the commission at this point. Sent a pretty decent tip and thanked them, then requested a few major errors to be fixed after completion. Artist said they would be making the edits and working on them. It's been a full year and I'm completely ignored. They've opened my messages asking for updates and continued to ignore me, taking on and posting more commissions and acting like my requests didn't matter at all. Really disappointed to be posting here. At this point, I'm planning on having it professionally edited after spending so much already. Link to character ref: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/29836829/ I'm embarrassed how I talk in commission notes, but I just get super excited for art. Never made a beware/caution post before so apologies if it's formatted a bit off. Thanks!
  16. (this article includes screencaps featuring conversation involving a musical artist and collaborative partner, Caero, who granted me permission to include screenshots featuring his dialogue: proof 1 proof 2) -- In march, I hosted an auction in collaboration with a musician where the winner would receive a custom theme song for their character and I would make an illustration of the character using the music as my inspiration. The winning bid was 960 usd (to be split 480 for each of us.) The musician sent an invoice and on July 3rd 2019 the invoice was fully paid. The musician delivered my half of the payment without incident. The musician proceeded to experience some life turbulence and his correspondence with both me and the client suffered as a result. Trixx requested an update on how things were going with him and he responded. Feeling a little antsy as some more time passed after this, I contacted the musician and offered the idea to draw the illustration first. He assured me that he would have something to show soon. I unfortunately do not have screencaps for this part but he was true to his word and submitted a musical sketch, which Trixx approved. I then produced an illustration sketch based on what he provided. She approved the sketch, and requested a background that was a “kingdom, city devastation through the battlefield.” Following this, the musician fell out of contact again, and once again, Trixx inquired for an update, and received no response after two days. At which point, I apologized for her inability to get in contact with the musician and told her that I would reach out to him. Here’s the conversation I had with the musician. Following this conversation, I followed up with Trixx, letting her know that I understood the musician had spoken to her, adding that I would hop on ahead and complete her illustration within the week, providing updates each day until the work was complete. The following is what transpired: This is the link to the previously completed collaborative auction linked to in the screencaps above: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27946332/ This is the link to Trixx’s completed illustration: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jd7o726jjdq7yi4/trixx.png?dl=0 (Version without the radial blur: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qdtk31qyfksez9u/trixx_2.png?dl=0 The conversation continued down this trajectory, eventually leading to a very confusing moment where Trixx began linking me to examples of work that were not provided as examples in the auction description, eventually going as far as to accuse me of editing the auction details (effectively gaslighting her). She dropped that particular topic as soon as she realized that she had been looking at the details and pulling up examples provided in the description of an entirely different auction than the one she had bid on. Eventually, I had considered completely redoing the background and most of the character for an additional charge (which she had warned me not to make too steep, on the premise that she has already paid for the illustration). I offered to redo things on the condition of her trust that I was putting forth my best effort for her. She voiced her lack of confidence, and I quickly determined that the safest course of action was to encourage her to take a partial refund. I had her invoice me for the partial refund, and promptly paid that invoice I left the group conversation, and she sent me one last personal DM Not wanting to continue the conversation with respect to my own time and emotional resources, I blocked her on discord following that last message I sent. The musician told me that he was going to issue her a full $480 refund. I sincerely believe that Trixx is not a wholly unreasonable person, and that the responses from her as seen in these screencaps were shaped largely by the wait time and lapses in correspondence. I tried my best to juggle the issues surrounding the musician and the needs of the client, but in the end, the variables failed to line up in a manner that was conducive to good business and a happy customer. This is my very first experience with both a situation and a client like this and it has been a great teacher. However her conduct, her assertive devaluing of my work, dismissal of my numerous attempts to problem solve with her under the assertion that I’m trying to rip her off, the moving goalposts, and her aggressive attempts to pursue the matter even after a refund had been issued for completed work has been disrespectful beyond what was called for.

    Space Meme

"Fursuit maker" "Space Meme" (herein refered to as "Maker") was paid $625 to create a costume / fursuit, (herein referred to as "Fursuit") materials and money, along with a ":duct tape dummy" were sent. Maker never created the Fursuit or produced any product, and was asked to refund money and or return materials, neither of which were refunded/returned as of 2020 Jan 3.
  18. On 31.01.2019 I contacted ChazThePanwhere over a Furry Marketplace Group on Telegram. She made an offer for a comic she and a friend were working on. The role should be the mascot of a school and thus the main character of the project. She said there would be art, t-shirts and all kind of merch on that comic so the slot would be a bit pricey, but for 700$ I could join, but I had to be fast because anotherone already was interested in the slot. So I agreed to pay for it. She then sent the Invoice via Paypal and I paid roughly 700$ The first days went good, the first pic arrived only 4 days later. (Also she forgot to draw my hair, but that's a minor issue) Next thing came on 20th February And then she took one month to fill it, but she said she was super busy and so I didn't want to be rude and thought it was okay (I know how it is to be busy sometimes). But then things changed. She didn't write me anything over months, so I decided to write her in June. She told me she was in some serious trouble because she doesn't have money anymore and was sick and everything. I said it was ok and wished her well. Next thing again I had to write her because I heared nothing from her. It was 15th September meanwhile and so I decided to drop out of the project. I tried to make her a fair offer, because she already did some art and had some trouble, so I didn't request a full refund. Followed by the picture of the invoice in case she doesn't even remember it. She took it easy and said she couldn't pay it all by now, but she would do in installments and I was really relieved that it would go this easy. I also wrote with her partner (the storywriter of the comic) at this time. I just wanted him to know I wouldn't be part of the Comic anymore and it turned out he didn't even know that ChazThePanwere took money for drawing, she told him she would do it as a sparetime project. This got me a bit uneasy. On 21st September (6 Days later) she then contacted me again and said, that she would not give a refund now, because in her contract she said she will only give refunds if she doesn't make progress in 12 Month. She showed me the phrase and she was right. So I gave her time until today (5th February 2020) to do some more art, but she didn't. So I wrote her a friendly but resolute message that I want my money back or I would take several actions (this Beware being one of them) and gave her two weeks (and again an option to friendly discuss it all out) to send it to my PayPal account and she said she wouldn't send me my money back, but rather rush six more pics and then close the project as done. This is the reason why I decided to write this beware today and not in two weeks as first said. I am more than sure I will never get my money back, but maybe it helps other people to not live through the same thing.
  19. On December 16, 2018 the artist posted openings for sketch commissions. I contacted him that same day for a spot and began discussions for the picture. With the details agreed upon, I paid the very next day on December 17, 2018 via PayPal. On January 8, 2019 I checked in with the artist and was told that the commission would be finished the next day. Although not complete, the artist sent me a WIP instead around January 15, 2019 that I accidentally deleted from chat while I was trying to save it. The next day, the artist asked for my Twitter, which I believed he wanted to use to tag the completed picture. Two days later, I received notification that he had completed it and would be sending it soon. This would be the last time I would hear back from the artist. I contacted him multiple times via Telegram (our main source of contact), which went unread even though his status continues to be “last seen recently.” I had also sent him an ultimatum via the email account he provided for PayPal, from which I got no response. It has been over a year now and I still have not gotten a response from any of my messages or emails. I even checked his Twitter in an attempt to DM him and noticed he does not have those open to non-mutuals. I unfortunately did attempt a chargeback but PayPay stated it was beyond the acceptable timeframe I’m order to do so. At this point, I have chalked this up as a loss. Thank you for your time.
  20. On July 9th, 2016 the artist posted a YCH animation auction on furaffinity that I won via auto buy on July 11th for $2000 USD. Me and the artist agreed on 6 installment payments with the first paypal invoice sent and paid for on July 12th and the second invoice sent and paid on July 29th. I was getting regular updates the first few months with communication exclusively through telegram but then communication stopped for a few months and then after he got back to me with what would be the last update I sent my third and final payment on February 7, 2017 and after that I didn’t hear anything from him for months. I didn’t get in contact with him again until July, 16th 2018 via email inquiring about the status of the commission as I haven’t gotten an update for it in well over a year and asked me if I wanted a refund or finish the commission with me choosing to finish it. Didn’t get in contact again with the artist until April 2, 2019 via twitter direct message where he again said he was sorry for the wait and that he was going to finish the commission but still no update on the commission was delivered. On June 24th, 2019 they said due to health problems they weren’t capable of finishing the commission and was going to refund me the money I paid in installments of $200 a month sent to my paypal account. They didn’t send me a payment until August 5th, 2019 and it was only $50 with the promise of $150 later but it never came. I haven’t gotten in contact with the artist since with $950 USD still owed to me for the unfinished animation commission.
  21. One day on October 3rd, 2018, the artist asked me if I was interested in getting art from him. He was offering a discount: $50 USD for two character line art, $15 less than what he usually charges for it. He supposedly wanted the money that night (which I think is a red flag all on it's own), and it was an artist whom I really liked. I decided to get a friend in on this and we decided to commission Synx. He then explained that he needed it for his medication which I could completely understand. We pay and wait for him to be ready before we sent our details. A week goes by and I ask for an update. He says that we are next and he will be able to make our commission in a few days. A few more days go by and they mention that they are delaying our commission a few days because they're making a big move. Like before, I let it go. Later in December, he tells us that he is now busy with work, also adding that our commission has "highest priority." More time goes by... until recently when in another Telegram group chat, I see art with his name on it. We were not the "highest priority." I ask Synx about it, and he now says he is ready to get started. I will admit, that I did not discuss with Synx what we wanted, but I was waiting for him to be ready. Full picture. Note the 2020 date on the top left. I let him know the details of what we wanted all that time ago and he says he will update us with a time. He keeps saying "I will try tomorrow" only to find out he hasn't. Recently, I have been bumping him to see if he has even started, only to find more excuses. He offers us more art in compensation for the lack of progress over the past year. Still nothing. As of Feb 2, 2020, I had subscribed to alerts to his Picarto which tells me when he streams on that platform. Hoping that it would be our commission, I log in and watch the stream only to find out that he isn't working on our stream. I ask if he has a timeline for our art, only to have him say "no exact date." Picture from the stream on Feb 2, 2020. I am extremely disappointed with this artist, and would advise not working with them. At the very minimum, don't give them your money until they are actually starting the art. I love their art, especially since they hit kinks that I love, but this experience was just horrid.
  22. On January 10th 2019, the artist opened commissions on twitter throught a google form, I sent a form asking for an icon commission. On January 14th 2019, I received and paid the invoice on Paypal. After that, on January 17th 2019, my commission info was added to the artist's Trello page. Little to none activity is shown in their Trello regarding my commission during the rest of the year. On November 16th 2019, I try to contact the artist on their Twitter asking why is taking so long with my commission and if there's any sketch I could see as a progress (if any) but I get no answer. On November 19th 2019, my commission shows some activity on their Trello, with the cheklist's items "Roguh sketch" and "Final sketch" completed. After that update, until this day, the artist hasn't showed any sign of activity in their Trello or Twitter. On January 11th and January 23th 2020, I tried to contact them again, asking what's going on? Why the lack of activity, is everything ok and what's the situation with my commission but I haven't got any answer from them so far. I don't know what's going to be honest. Before November, the artist was constantly to somewhat active, delivering commissions (kinda at a slow pace though imo) and taking some more from time to time but then, without warning, they just disappeared; no announcement, no responses, no other way to contact them, nothing. I know there has been some people looking for them too, also for pending commissions. I don't want to think bad of the artist but this doesn't look good for them. At this point I just want my commission soon or my money back (along with an explanation if possible). 23. On February 7, 2019, the artist BlindCoyote sent a public tweet offering a commission opening for one sketch for $50 USD, or $100 USD for flat colors. I publicly responded expressing interest in the opening, to which the both of us went into Twitter Direct Messages (DM) to discuss the details further. Payment was agreed upon, and conducted through Paypal. On May 24, 2019, BlindCoyote sent a work-in-progress sketch through the same Twitter DM channel. Details were discussed and agreed upon. On July 19, 2019, I had some concerns that I wished to ask BlindCoyote. He did not respond. On July 30, 2019, I requested the commission be cancelled. BlindCoyote still did not respond. So on August 4, 2019, an email was sent threatening to take action through a Paypal chargeback if he did not respond. He responded the next day, requesting the Paypal address thru which to send a $75 refund, which was responded to. That was the last time I ever heard from him on the matter. A refund was never issued. Two further emails demanding action on his part were also not returned.
  24. I paid for a custom Cinnadog from byronbae on 1/18/2019, which were $40 base price + extra for other trait add-ons. The total transaction was $45 after adding 1 $5 trait to the custom base price. They mentioned there would possibly be a long wait time due to taking multiple slots. deviantART journal, claim proof, and payment proof below. I waited with no update until I received notification on 5/3/2019, where byronbae let everyone still pending know that they were having IRL issues, but should still expect sketches soon. Hearing nothing for several more months, I messaged them again on 9/15/2019 asking for status updates. Byronbae replied that they would be able to potentially get their queue done in October. On 11/28/2019, with no other updates in October and November, I asked for a refund. I received a reply that byronbae was willing to refund me but had no income, so I would need to wait until January. I let them know what I paid and waited for an update. I do not follow byronbae directly on deviantART but checked their page to see if they were active, and noticed they posted a journal on 1/3/2020 mentioning the outstanding commission issue. They claimed that they would be working on refunds and pinging people involved. As of 1/27/2020, no communication has occurred and no refund has been issued. I commented to ask status updates, but it has now been over 1 year since the initial transaction.
  25. I first began the commissioning process with Beasthorizon back in February of 2019, where we spoke about what I wanted and they told me that a head would take 4-8 weeks : This agreement was reached on February 2nd, then I was not responded to for several weeks. When I reached out again they were able to answer within the day, claiming they had been injured but that my project still interested them, and that in 2 weeks my project would be first in line. This would set a completion date of roughly May 8th to June 3rd. Note: I say 'claiming' because they were able to finish a separate project without communicating to me at all. Over the next few days we worked out a 3d model for the head, and the base was printed after I paid my half down. I was told that they would contact me once the horns were finished being printed. I was never contacted regarding that. At this time, they posted on their twitter about making a model for a 3d head, and then finished the head. In their sales post they mentioned a new email to contact them at which was an email I had not been given. Since they made that tweet they deleted it, but I have a screenshot of the email I sent them after they posted it. Note: This is on July 26, already almost 2 months past the original expected completion date. My head was mysteriously halfway done without them ever contacting me. This has been a series of red flags I ignored because I was happy to see progress had been made. I am told by them in this email that everything but the LEDs will be finished by July 30th. On August 9th I reached out to them because they have mentioned on their twitter about opening commissions once again. I ask for a second set of horns, thinking my head is nearly finished. They agree to adding on the second set of horns. Looking at the time stamps, you can see that after they spoke to me on August 9th, they then never answered again for months. The time stamps read: Aug 31, Sep 23, and Oct 6 on this thread. On November 1st I sent another email to them, detailing the timeline of events up to that point and asking them to respond or face a chargeback and/or beware. They answered the next day, apologizing and offering that my head be finished or shipped as-is for the price of what I had already paid. I stressed the need to have my head by November 19th, and did not hear back from them. On November 13th, I reached out to them on Telegram after finding it and other information online that had been posted. I warned them about how I found that information, which has been censored here. They claimed they were finishing the final touches on my head and asked where it should be shipped. As of January 2020, I have not received any form of communication from them. They are still active on Telegram and have moved from Twitter to Etsy. If you go to any of their Etsy listings, it can be seen by scrolling down to the bottom left that they have been active on there as recently as December 19, 2019. They are offering customs there, while ignoring my continued attempts at contacting them. I have offered compromises wherein I pay more past the down payment to receive my head, still I am ignored. Shortly after January began, they removed my access to the fursuit head WIP folder, meaning they are aware of my attempts at contacting them and the subsequent Beware I was forced to write when they continued to avoid me.
