About Me

  1. ryai1 (ryai1) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-12 21:15 Commissioner Beware - Lemonadeadopts WHO: Lemonadeadopts WHERE: FurAffinity: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/lemonadeadopts/ WHAT: 4-page multi-panel comic WHEN: September 17th — January 2019 EXPLAIN: Primarily I commissioned Lemonadeadopts back in September after a previous commission. I had received a deadline of October for this one but sadly that was delayed. I questioned the artist about it a few times after that and the days kept getting pushed further and further back before finally when it came to being asked last week (after failing to complete the commission back on Christmas) as they promised to complete it Monday. They were not in discussion at all and I'm afraid I felt as if I was waiting way too long without any real response so I had to issue a refund. Following months of asking for updates or any signs of life and only being pushed back more and more and more, I'm a bit exhausted of waiting... I'm tired of attempting to comment or note them to little avail until they say "Hey, my internet was out for x long." But, as an artist myself you don't really need the internet to use most programs or continue drawing. PROOF: https://i.imgur.com/0TIydmg.png (Proof of downpayment / half payment for full price) https://imgur.com/a/igMIQGy (proof of initial transaction and any updates to reach me by Sunday back in October) ( Read more... ) https://i.imgur.com/jIrM6Py.png (Note transactions promising they'd get the commission done back in December 'in 3-days' and then "dedicating Monday to finishing it" just yesterday, there was no response from the artist all of Monday) </lj-cut>
  2. charliessd (charliessd) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-15 12:09 Solomon King Thompson WHO : his nickname is Solomon King Thompson / siwell16 aka Nigel Porter, etc you name it. In this case, the commissioner / client has committed a theft. He has a lot of different names. He contacted me by this email [email protected] [email protected] (his paypal) WHERE : https://www.freelancer.com/u/siwell16 https://plus.google.com/u/0/117527282677078313904?prsrc=4 WHAT : Digital art for business purpose (t-shirt design for mass produce) WHEN : September 18th, 2018 EXPLAIN : hello, i have been scammed by a client recently. I thought i want to share it with the others artist to warn them.He first approached me via 3rd party work website & then contacted my email called [email protected] / Solomon King Thompson . He was looking for artist with anime style to design his t-shirt, he saw my portfolio & interested in working with me. I replied him that i can work with him if agreed with my ToS. I gave him the link to my price list & ToS in it (which stated that the client has to pay right away after i showed them the first draft) He used a trick where he paid for the first work and then he said he's very satisfied with my work & asking for more commission, pretending wanted to work with me for a long term. The first commission went pretty smoothly (even though he's bit late for the payment). After the first commission was completed, he asked for the second one. I quote him $XX+ for the work & he agreed and said will do the payment soon. For the second commission i gave him the work first because he need the work to be completed asap (next week) and promised to pay on Friday (2 Oct 2018) & i thought he can be trusted since it's his second commission , yet on the due date there’s no news came from him. He didn't reply after i gave him the work & asking for payment. He replied in between 8 Oct when i asked if he wanted to cancel the commission after that, he didn't bother to open & reply my email from 12 Oct - 29 Oct 2019. He only replied after i warned him that if he doesn't reply my message shortly after 24hr I will make this public. I've been really generous to extend his payment due more than 10 weeks. What makes it worse, recently he open a dispute/report to his previous payment that make my account got locked for some reason & i can't access my paypal, despite i have sent the high-resolution file & he said he satisfied with my work. He chooses to run away from his problem & didn’t even try to resolve it until now thus i decided to make this public so you can watch out for him if he's approaching you. if any of you were commissioned him by any chance. It'll be safer to just reject him. Don't fall for his trick pretending to be a good client. He only “paid” for the first work just to make us trust him (also his paypal email look way too fishy [email protected]) . He might be still out there looking an artist to draw him 2B, bowsette & another lewd female character ..for his T-shirt design .. *edit 2019 : I saw an upwork post stating looking for lewd anime style character for t-shirt here https://www.upwork.com/jobs/_~014e58b8f2f291e674/. Please be warry. From what i know according to the conversation we had he need 4 design for his t-shirt. I have completed one and a half of the design. So there are 2-3 design left needed. If any of you see this image used around for merchandise please let me know https://imgur.com/M8lzaEb https://imgur.com/BOEQU0i PROOF : https://i.imgur.com/XKkUeAu.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dhIOZxR.png https://i.imgur.com/DKXE6ro.png https://i.imgur.com/uNzneHW.png https://i.imgur.com/PPnbApE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4Qf0L4X.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RvMLYzg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pHb4C3S.jpg https://i.imgur.com/D8pvVKz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xteyNOo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/UVPcb9B.png https://i.imgur.com/8zJcJQS.jpg https://i.imgur.com/eSu4T5H.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LfZ07SE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kVfGzPo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Wfj7rPI.jpg
  3. Mar. 13th, 2012 at 9:23 AM ariakitty WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanilla Kitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani/ WHAT: Two icon commissions, cost $24 (The total was actually $25.03 because she requested that I cover the paypal fees. I sent $26 just so the number would be even. I am aware that you're not supposed to pay extra to cover the fees but at the time I didn't know this.) WHEN: Payment sent March 21, 2010 Proof of payment. PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1284224/ Journal where commissions were offered. (March 21, 2010) EXPLAIN: I commissioned Vani for two icons in March 2010. In the journal she does state that she wouldn't be getting to these specific commissions until May. So I did not expect to see anything until the summer/fall of that year. There was really no concise list of her current commission queue, but in the journal where she offered these commissions she made it seem like she didn't have that many to do. Around December 2010 she posted her commission queue: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643 I kicked myself when I saw how massive her queue was, had I known she owed that many commissions I wouldn’t have commissioned her in the first place. A year goes by and I figure it's time to contact her and inquire about the status of my commission. I tried to contact her through FA on June 28, 2011. The note was never read. So on September 19 I sent her an email, I never received a reply. (I can provide screens of the email and the note but I wasn't sure if that was necessary.) Her tumblr is active and she has a new DA page with new art posted: http://stripesandteeth.tumblr.com/ http://maplemutesandtea.tumblr.com/ (not as active) http://www.stripes-and-teeth.deviantart.com/ I don't really know how much of it is commission work and how much is personal work. I didn't start to worry until I saw a question that she answered on her tumblr about why she left DA and FA. On September 23 I sent her a note through her maplemutesandtea tumblr and I did receive a reply. I responded back telling her I'd be happy to wait for the art as long as communication between us was good. Needless to say, I did not get a response to my second note. (I would provide proof of that but tumblr doesn't keep a record of sent 'asks'.) February, 29 I decided to try to contact her again through tumblr. I forgot to take a screen of it before I sent it off. But I had asked her how things were going and if she needed refs. I figured after almost 2 years she probably didn't have my character refs anymore. She has not responded to that note. On March 11 she posted to her tumblr offering more commissions. I’m a little disappointed. She has a queue of 50+ commissions that she hasn’t made good on, yet she’s taking on more work. I'm glad to see that she won't accept payment until the commission is finished but... What about the rest of us? Vani is a talented artist and I really hate to see her dig herself into such a deep hole. I didn't want to make an A_B entry about anyone, let alone Vani. She took on more work than she could handle and I know she's very stressed about it. But I wish she would communicate with me. I am patient and I am willing to wait quite a while as long as the artist stays in touch. I sincerely hope this can be marked as resolved someday.

I commissioned him for a friend's birthday gift, asking if he'd be able to make a fairly tight deadline (around two weeks). He agreed and finished it only three days later. As well as being quick, he was extremely polite and very upbeat, and his work is consistently wonderful. I couldn't recommend him more. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7422534 marus_puppy Mar. 6th, 2012 04:08 pm (local) dozmuffinxc 1. dozmuffinxc of LJ (not sure if she has another gallery, I certainly haven't found one and I've looked around.) 2. http://dozmuffinxc.livejournal.com/ 3. I worked with her from mid-December 2011 until early January 2012 4. I participated in a charity auction on LJ starting in December and offering one of my custom animal ornaments of whatever the winner wanted and she was the winner! She was a real sweetheart throughout the whole process giving me some slack when it came finals and my moving home for break, put up several journal posts about how excited she was about it, and even sent me a thank you card! :D For a little unknown artist like me, that was soooo wonderful. She's such a gracious commissioner, anyone would be lucky to work with her!! korsetkoat Mar. 6th, 2012 04:41 pm (local) kinasaur 1. kinasaur 2. http://kinasaur.deviantart.com/ 3. A few days ago 4. Krowzi 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/krowzi 3. Commissioned August 28th 4. I commissioned Krowzi on August 28th for a pair of dolls. By the end of October, she had completed the dolls and shipped them. When they hadn't arrived by the end of January (she is in Canada and I am in the US so we thought maybe they got stuck in customs) she offered to remake the dolls for me and reship them for me as long as I covered the shipping costs. Even though this was neither party's fault that they got lost in the mail, she rectified the situation and provided me with two gorgeous dolls! Not only is her craftsmanship worth the money but she provides the customer service to go with it! Thanks Krowzi! <3 (Original dolls that got lost: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/comis/ICEE.jpg , and the remade ones that made it safe and sound: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/icee2.jpg ) sisterskift Mar. 6th, 2012 04:52 pm (local) 1. Reddyeno5 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/reddyeno5/ 3. Commissioned on February 10th, image completed Feb. 15th, shipped 17th, arrived 21st. 4. Reddyeno5 was having a charcoal portrait sale at a massive discount, so I decided to get one. Communication was great and the portrait itself was finished very fast but doesn't look rushed at all: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7417490/ I received the traditional copy within a short amount of time, and it had no damage or smudges whatsoever. I'm very happy with the finished product and I would definitely commission them again. puritikoneko Mar. 6th, 2012 05:37 pm (local) 1. Katibara 2. http://furaffinity.net/user/Katibara 3. Commissioned on February 14th for a Valentine's Day sketch. Commissioned again on the end of February for a Lineart (To be colored). 4. I've been commissioning Katibara for small purchases here and there for over a year now, the last two this past February being the most recent. I find it very appealing that she works so fast with the references given and always does an amazing job with the characters. Lately, she's only been taking small commissions here and there via stream, so if you're looking for something quick and pretty for a really, really good price, try keeping an eye out for her stream commission advertisements. She's very polite, and makes sure that what she's working on is satisfactory, even if it's something like a $3.00 sketch. I've seen her make several changes to a single sketch for someone else at their request without a fuss. She's a real peach to work with and her customer service skills are stellar. My commissioned pieces from Kati: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7479471 (Will be colored) - $10.00 for the line art, paid an extra $5.00 at my request to have it colored (she offered to color it for $2.00) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7404546 (Far right) $3.00 Edited at 2012-03-06 05:38 pm (local) charryzarry Mar. 6th, 2012 07:20 pm (local) 1. A very reliable artist, with a great work ethic. Not afraid to talk to you if she's unsure about something. Also, she draws the cutest eyes: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7534518 Been really happy with everything I've got from her, and looking forward to more. inkstainedrat Mar. 7th, 2012 12:30 pm (local) I second Miss Neko. I commissioned her for the second time last month and she was an absolute joy to work with. She provided an amazingly swift turn around, thoughtfully brought up details I hadn't even considered but proved to be an asset to character design, maintained very good communication/contact, and helped bring a new character to life for me. Her customer service skills are exemplary. latiro Mar. 6th, 2012 09:43 pm (local) wolf-nymph/shadow-wolf/Eskiworks 1. wolf-nymph (FA)/shadow-wolf (DA)/Eskiworks (Nabyn) 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wolf-nymph/ (FA)/ http://shadow-wolf.deviantart.com/ (DA)/ http://eskiworks.nabyn.com/ (Nabyn) 3. completed on March 5 via Livestream 4. She will make sure you are happy with every detail and is generally just a pleasure to work with. :) The turn around on my last piece was something like 3 days I think. She doesn't trade quality for speed either so no worries on that count. She did an excellent job on both pieces! On the Minerva commission I didn't give her too many details on the Byakhee mount, and it seems she went and looked up some more details on her own. I can't recommend her enough, I know I'll be going back to her when I need some more art done. For the curious, here are the two pieces I commissioned, though be forewarned she does have some properly flagged NSFW art in her profile so be careful when looking at work. My girlfriend commissioned Elmenora for a traditional sketch of two of our OCs in October of 2011. (Original Sketch seen here in the lower right hand corner: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6864256/ ) As adorable as the rough sketch was I had to get it finished. Her charge to finish the sketch traditionally was very reasonable and she was a sweetheart to work with. Communication was very good and turn around time was excellent, even including two segments of shipping time. A scan of the completed image can be found here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7528984/. It is safe for work. The finished water color painting is far more vibrant than the scan, I believe her scanner ate some of the color. All together Elmenora was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely do business with her again. zin103 Mar. 20th, 2012 06:51 pm (local) 1. rebornedphoenix 2. http://rebornedphoenix.deviantart.com/ 3. Can't remember exact date but about a month for the commission to be done to start to finish 4. Details: She may take a long time because she got life issue but if she is late, she will always admit she wrong and say sorry. Not like many artist who left me hanging for 6 month without even saying sorry <_< One of her best skill is following direction, paying attention to detail, and actually listening to what people want. So I don't need to give her a bunch of direction but only a few guideline and she won't disappoint me ever. I commission her like 3 time and I am always blown away. I think she one of the few who take time to read what I give her. She also draw everything from nude, guy, girl, yaoi, etc which is also hard to find.
  5. Feb. 28th, 2012 at 10:16 PM jazminbunni WHO: Zillford, an artist located on Furaffinty and InkBunny as well. I am not certain if he is active anywhere else. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zillford / http://inkbunny.net/Zillford WHERE: Located on FA at http://furaffinity.net/user/zillford , this is the primary site of business that I encounter him at. WHAT: A commission for a Line Art, digital image piece. Priced at $60 to be paid ahead of time. Initially paid for in advance, the status of the art agreed upon for commission is unknown and I am currently awaiting a response from the artist, the current date that this was posted on at Artist Beware is February 28th, 2012, and the date that the commission was paid for was December 12th, 2011. What I would like to do is find a way to open up communication with Zillford and work things out to get this commission completed, and I put this all behind me, and possibly have the picture paid for to be coloured by him later. I don't wish to burn any bridges here. WHEN: Commission was agreed upon, and then paid for on December 12th, 2011. Each Link in the above section logs the time when they were posted before each link. All activity on his account located on FA seems to have stopped as well, his latest submission was on January 24th, 2:15PM, 2012, his last favourite was on January 19th, 8:51 AM, 2012, and his last journal was posted on January 10th, 2012 01:16 PM. There also appears to be at least one other having similar concern based on comments they have posted on Zillford's wall. This may dissappear due to any new comments pushing them out of sight. I will screen cap it and can post if it is requested. EXPLAIN: I commissioned Zillford back on the 12th of December, and agreed to pay in advance for a digital line art piece. I paid $60 up front to make sure I had a spot on his commission line. Near the end of December I curiously sent Zillford an email asking if any progress had been made or not. I could not find a reply back to it in any box of my email account so I cannot verify if there was a response to this particular email. I made a followup note to him on FA and Zillford explained that my commission details possibly were misplaced, but he had found them and was going to put me in front on the production line. I made a third note asking how things were going on January 23rd, and his response was that it was one of the day's must-do pictures. My last email sent to Zillford asking about the status of the commission was on February 20th, 70 days from the day after payment was verified until the last email was sent. It appears that Zillford is inactive on FA currently. I would just like to have it completed and hopefully work out something to have it coloured later on. I am not mad at the artist, but I am concerned by the lack of communication. **UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012]: ** Another member on FA had found out that the artist Zillford had made an account on DeviantArt, and was being active on that site, and for what it appears, has abandoned his FA page. URL to DeviantArt found here: http://zillford.deviantart.com/ Screenshot of Zillford's FA Wall, showing comment linking to new DA Page (April 3rd, 2012 1:04AM EST): http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii166/jazminbunni/Artist%20Beware%20Links/Zilford_Moved_To_DA.png Screenshot of my comment on Zillford's new DA wall asking for a status request regarding the commission. I cannot say that that are from others regarding art or other issues, or just simply wall spammers. But do note the censoring. I will watch to see if my comment disappears or not.* I have sent a second inquery email regarding the commission to both his business emails as well as noting him on FA. I will be sending a copy of this inquery email to his DA in a day if there has been no response. Once again, I remain hopeful that the situation can be salvaged. ^_^ ** END UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** ** EXTRA UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** No sooner had I posted my first update to this Beware journal and hit refresh on Zillford's DeviantArt page, my comment had been hidden by the page owner (Zillford). What am I supposed to do now? :S ** END UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** **3rd UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012]** As my original comment was removed, I had posted a second comment asking to please check his email. 6. Feb. 5th, 2012 at 11:56 PM naughtykitsune Who: Shiroiyuki Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shiroiyuki/ What: A full colored commission When: Going on for close to a year now Explain: Well in October I was recommended by a friend to check out her art which I did and I brought a commission from her at the time because she was open and had reasonable prices. So she posted a journal (which she deleted) saying she was giving a special on pics for $25. this my transaction http://imageshack.us/f/838/incidentone.jpg/ pg/) this is what i asked for http://imageshack.us/f/826/incident2.jpg/. So I brought a spot. She posted a journal right afterwards saying she was depressed and having an art block. I decided to wait because people have that problem. this was posted afterwards http://imageshack.us/f/252/incident3.jpg/ In November I got tired of waiting and looked at her Commission Queue to my surprise my name wasn't there for a commission so I contacted her which went well and reasonable. So after a few days (again...) a new journal was posted saying she was taking new art and such. So then of course another journal posted about an art block. Later that week other people art was posted and still my name wasn't added to the queue. So I was fed up with it and filed a refund because I was tired of waiting and being ignored. So of course instead a well way to settle stuff in a mature manner I got a rage note saying "No I'm not refunding you your money its not my problem this was well hard earn money so don't give me the BS''. She made threats to me as well saying she was going to sue me.shown here http://imageshack.us/f/545/incident5.jpg/ . Let me point out that I got no update on my art so I went to my bank who is set up with paypal and filed a dispute for my money back because I felt scammed and the fact my bank had a flag with her info . She later posted a journal calling me a rude uncalled for name and deleting it due to her getting raged at for speaking to her clients that way. Later along in the year she is posting pictures of stuff she buying and then writing journals later asking for money. This new year she has decided to start on people art but still has an attitude issue where is uses very rude language in her terms and commission queues. shown here (hhttp://imageshack.us/f/850/incident4.jpg/ Recently she has went MIA from her account with more people money she begged for a tablet and she has left her account without doing people art. shown here http://imageshack.us/f/600/scammerza.jpg/ She recently returned with pics of tattoos she has gotten along with a journal full of rage against those who were very unhappy with her taking too long and felt she used the commission money she owe to get the tattoos http://imageshack.us/f/268/rudeness.jpg/ This issue has been resolve. She has refunded my money so no need to comment here anymore.
  7. Feb. 10th, 2012 at 2:36 AM alex_dachshund I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/ I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried. I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs. WHO: Sciggles WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any. I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted. I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could. Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd) Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th) After a while, some time had passed. I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st) She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update. Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally. Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd) Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions: Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st) I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art: E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd) The e-mail has NOT been responded to. After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her: Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th) EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg I am just really unsure what to do at this point. She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices. I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet. EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg My reply: http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg I replied, and she sent me this nasty snarky e-mail afterwards: http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg My reply: http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them. EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there. I consider the matter resolved. http://oi42.tinypic.com/1567rlu.jpg I have also Unwatched and blocked the artist. Will never do business with her again. VERY annoyed customer. I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.
  8. Feb. 2nd, 2012 at 3:40 PM ryunwoofie Who: Sviperin (original account I dealt with), squidmnd, Ms.Delicious Where: Furaffinity.net When: Little before February 16th, 2010 What: Trade, traditional badge Info: Unfortunately most records of the earlier transaction have been deleted so I apologize about that. Anyway, about two years ago I posted a journal asking to do some traditional badge trades. That post has been since deleted for I don't keep my journals for long after I tend to finish what is on them. Sviprein and a few others inquired. I was really into Sivperin's character so I was excited to do so. It took a week or two to finish (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3431926/) and a little later it was laminated and mailed to her. I have since forgotten about it until a year later when I found out her account was compromised/hacked and was banned. I honestly forgot after a while then contacted her on her new account Ms.Delicious. First Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000pk75 After I contacted her I waited patiently since October 12th, 2011 with new information about what I wanted done. Since then she said she was busy with school, which I can relate. But since then she has pumped out a lot of icons and other commission related stuff so I once again inquired about the deal. At this point I was a little miffed that she kept keeping my trade off at this point. I tried to ask for something smaller and easier for I just wanted something/anything at this point. Second Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000szz5 After I noted her the last straw and the final idea/info she put immediately posted a journal stating she was going on hiatus. I myself find it very suspicious and rude.. She read my last note but has not responded. At this point I have no idea if she'll just account hop again and avoid things. I just wanted to put this out there for others to see. Journal time stamp screenshot w/ profile spammed w/ 'HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS' : http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000r3wp Originally I had NO intentions of making an A_B about this trade until she decided to be immature and run away on a "hiatus" with no response or good reason... Very very disappointed. Edit 1: Got a response http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000trt9 Will update if she follows through. Edit 2: Resolved. I'm sad that it had to come through here first, but I'm glad I got something from it. Thanks. :3 Edit 3: Final 'apology' and image http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000wktk http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7336256
  9. Jan. 31st, 2012 at 12:06 PM arctic_wuff WHO: orthan WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/orthan WHAT: 2 character commission paid in full up-front. WHEN: Payment was made May 1, 2010 with commission details and such being discussed at the end of April 2010. PROOF: Other than the FA notes, work was never started. See screen captures under cut EXPLAIN: I don’t have all the logs any longer (had a harddrive failure), but after paying the artist in May I agreed to wait until June 2010 for the work. Then artist requested more time and I allowed that. After that point getting a hold of the artist became very difficult and replies seemed to stop coming. I have requested a refund from the artist and have seen nothing yet. Unfortunately the paypal buyer protection time had passed so I was unable to file for a refund with paypal. RESOLVED: After getting a hold of the artist again I was able to get a refund.
  10. Jan. 24th, 2012 at 1:42 AM nedrae WHO: Shizuki/Chevi. She apparently already had a beware, but I didn't know of this community back when this started.WHERE: FurAffinityWHAT: Full-body color, one character, $60. Here are her current terms and conditions, but I don't know if they have been changed in the interim and I didn't save a copy. What I do remember is that the no-refunds clause wasn't there, but unfortunately I have no proof. WHEN: Initial note sent on FA on July 18th, 2010, payment made the next day, mutually agreed deadline of early November 2010.PROOF: Full album. (Screenshots in chronological order, same as below) EXPLAIN: The full album, in detail. This is almost all of our communication, except for some of my replies acknowledging her notes, and which she usually quoted anyway: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#1o Initial contact http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#2o Paypal was being stupid to me http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#3o A friend helps me out and pays in my behalf, I pay him back here http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#4o http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#5o My friend had talked to her about this. She was okay with this and let me know I could go ahead with the request. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#6o e-mail with the commission details. Not blurred because meh, and her e-mail address is public already. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#7o She got my email. I assume she was okay with it (the only complicated bit was somewhat large wings for the character, but I made it clear that they weren't necessary) http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#8o She says deadline won't be met. That's alright, it happens and I understand and hope she gets it all sorted out soon. I responded saying it was fine and to keep me in the loop. Then I admittedly let it slip for a while, and she didn't respond until I sent her another note on February 2011. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#9o I got pushed into her immediate to-do list apparently. In retrospect I should have taken that refund at this point. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#10o Got this at the end of March, she said it'd be done during April, offered me a free icon but I didn't care about it. I just replied saying I didn't see the need for changes, though I hadn't seen a sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#11o July 9th. Again in the immediate to-do list. Promised to contact me on the 20th, or if not, done by early August. July 20th came by and I didn't see anything. Kept waiting. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#12o Sent on August 30th, more things had happened, offered free stuff again (that I ignored because I was focused on my actual commission). Sketch real soon she says. At this point it's been over a year since our first contact and payment. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#13o Apparently this was sent to all of the people she owed art to. My response is here: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#14o. The link at the end of her note is this: http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm313/cheviart/Commissions/wheredoIgo.png http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#15o She acknowledges. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#16o Three months later I ask her again. She thought I asked for a deadline of December 15th when I had actually said mid-november. More than a year since the original deadline. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#17o She says she mixed up the dates, apologizes about the lack of a sketch (almost a year and a half now), and promises finished art (i.e. not a sketch, and what I assumed would be the final art with no possibility of change) by the 19th. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#18o I am an idiot and agree to the finished art instead of pushing for the sketch. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#19o As soon as she's on break I'm her top priority. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#20o December 21st and I haven't seen anything yet, now she says it'll be done before the end of the month. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#21o Mini-update on the 30th, it won't be done by new year, but she says she'll try to get it done before she returns to school on the 9th, and asks if any changes need to be made. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#22o My reply, can't ask for changes if I haven't even seen the sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#23o January 20th, this is when I seriously started considering writing this whole thing, and I think it shows. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#24o I made a mistake, corrected http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#25o She is aware of how long I've been waiting. Says stuff will come out during the weekend. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#26o Apparently I misplaced those two files in the interim. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#27o Sent the files by e-mail and also uploaded to min.us And today is the 24th, and I haven't seen anything at all. TL;DR Commission paid on July 2010, agreed on a deadline of early November 2010, commission kept being pushed back and in almost 18 months she has been unable to produce a single sketch. Meanwhile Until today, her commission account's gallery has 165 submissions since the date of my original deadline (October 31st, 2010). So yeah I'm a bit miffed. EDIT: Earlier today (April 4th 2012) I received the finished art from her after a couple of rounds of sketches and corrections, I'll contact a mod shortly to mark this post as resolved.

When Toonpimp first found some of my sprites, he showed interest and wanted to make an adult game of it as of January 26, 2008[1]. I agreed to it and we started work on the game that was 6-bit Pixelforce. However, during halfway in on his part, he changes his mind and decides to make it an average 2D sidescroll shooter. The result of it: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1290130 which was a poorly put together small flash game completed on May 10, 2008. But because people were interested in my sprites that weren't used, I decided to start work on another game project. I did bring this up with Toonpimp, however, he outright refused unless paid. So I began a character auction primarily on here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/728773 on May 5, 2009. I did request of him to begin work on a demo of the game, but he was lazy about this. The demo was rushed and sloppily done with mismatched animations and several glitches. The worst part was that the game was unable to run on other computers[2]. The total he was financed for this project was a little over $390. But when I let him go, I asked for only $150 but is refusing because ‘I kept him waiting for two years’ and ‘wasted his time.’ Evidence is in the chat logs file in parts discussing money. All of this being discussed through the chats as when his paypal was deleted, all records of transactions with him were as well[2]. During this time working on Pixelforce, the chat logs reveal quite a bit of disturbing information that includes sexual harassment. He tries in many chats requests for naked pictures of me in order to do more work into the game. For a while, I thought he was joking although he has in time made evident he was serious. Every time I did bring up this game, he would often go on a rampage, even saying the game should fail. He goes as far to deny being paid as one of his Paypal accounts was deleted, because Paypal does not support porn based businesses[2]. While working on this project, I was given the chance to promote my game on his forum where he made evident his disinterest with this game and for a while people on his forum were not in support of my game because of that. I did have a sub-forum for my project as a new way of organizing the new games being developed all at once. When I let people know that I had let Toonpimp go, he retaliated by not only locking my sub-forum, but deleted it and noted me to leave his forum[4]. Before firing Toonpimp, I decided on a more tactful method that would not be too insulting…twice[5]. He claims that it was because of him just for his name and forum he was making the money I attained for this project and therefore refused to give a refund[3]. I gave him plenty of chances to try and turn things around, yet he only spat in my face telling me to get lost. I have been contacting everyone who has donated for this game and let them know of what has occurred so they can contact him about getting their money back. He is refusing and claiming to produce ‘his own version’ of the game[6]. tl;dr Toonpimp is a programmer that doesn’t give people what they pay for. If he doesn’t like a project, he charges extra, even when already commissioned and is refusing to give a refund after being fired and booted me off his forums. Only continuing to work to not give a refund. He gets angry easily when I bring the game up. Sexual harassment trying to solicit to doing more work as payment to get naked pictures. Does not keep in touch about project or updates unless threatened and does little work. Update Edit 03/15/12 Toonpimp and I had come to an agreement. That being he would give a partial refund on the conditions that I don't send people after him about a refund, leave his forum, and say nothing of him. I agreed and decided to wait. I did wait until February to contact him again for a refund, but he told me to simply leave him alone and he'd send the money when he gets it. I waited another month, and now I find he's blocked me on FA, deleted my account on his forum, and also telling other people that he won't do anything to pay up thus placing him under theft which apparently has happened multiple times in his career. Ironically enough, one of his reasons for blocking me was because of my posting our chat logs after I had fired him saying it was violating privacy, yet he fails to acknowledge the fact he showed someone that disliked him the game while under development and the guy threatened to release it as I mentioned in my article above. Or how he only intended to give me 'tools' to do this myself and him not to complete it, yet also said he planned on finishing the game himself even after I fired him, which almost landed an article of him under Artist Theft. Here's the 3 PMs, the first two from him and the third being from a contributor that contacted him since TP had me blocked. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/341/pmsj.png/ I'll keep updated with more evidence in time.

  14. You're way outside the chargeback window; you were outside of it when you sent the email in December, actually. But you could have opened a paypal dispute without writing out an AB, and I wish you had. Unfortunately, short of going through your bank or your credit card company, you're probably not gonna see your money, which is horrible. I agree with contacting FC to let them know about this, I despise when cons don't protect their attendees, so hopefully they do something.

    Beware: Kircai

That's enough. You have a refund, and this is being locked as there are no more productive things to be said. All that's happening are potshots at each other, and that's not what we are here for. Edit: I also want to stress that the artist is within their rights to refund you. He didn't claim that you threatened with a chargeback. He said that he felt you were the type of client who might do so when they aren't getting their way. This is his way of washing his hands of this transaction, and at this point you need to leave him alone from here on out. He's established a boundary, and it's time to respect it. Also, he's within his rights to repurpose art as he sees fit. You don't own it. This transaction is resolved, because the artist has chosen to resolve it. Please understand that if you continue to poke and prod at him when he's already made it clear that he wants this to be over and done with that you risk the artists who read this not wanting to work with you in the future.

    Beware: Kircai

We've been in operation elsewhere for well over ten years, so please don't apologize! We thank you for coming here and taking the time to speak on your beware. I will be issuing a resolved tag.
  18. Constantly losing access to their twitter? Chargebacks because of policy on gender?? (riiiiiiight.. that's likely). Oh, no, now you can't afford it for xyz reasons? Whatever happened to 'don't spend it til you've provided art'? Frankly there's two possibilities here - either this person has literally the worst luck in the world, or far more likely is just completely full of sh*t. I'm sorry there's no recourse for you OP, since the paypal deadline has passed.. beware very well warranted.
  19. I could be interpreting this wrong, but it seems to me that the main crux of the issue was the last time they spoke (in 2016?) when the artist (kircai) told guba not to talk to them. What sounds like what happened is that guba wanted to be friends, and when Kircai denied that, guba took it as the inability to talk to the artist entirely. This sounds like confusion on the difference between a personal and a professional relationship. This seems to be a big problem in the fandom (or at least private art commissions in general). Artists want to seem nice and friendly for customer service, which confuses customers into thinking they're friends with the artist, so on and so forth until the difference between business transaction and personal communication becomes null. Of course I could be wrong on this since we don't have the original messages (nor am I asking for them). Just seems like an observation; Guba didn't feel comfortable asking Kircai for updates because Kircai lashed out last time (when Kircai felt their personal boundaries were crossed). Something both sides need to work on communicating effectively. The difference between personal and professional relationships is also something that the fandom as a whole needs to be more educated about in general, unfortunately. If guba had asked for updates on the commission using the correct channels, it's likely this whole transaction would've gone much differently. It's unfortunate that this misunderstanding occurred.
  20. It sucks you don't have the form, so it's a bit he said she said. Most artist charge extra for multiple characters, do you as well? It's not fully proof, but if you can show that he paid the same amount as a 1 character commission, it might help to show that you weren't commissioned to do more then one, or at least show some miscommunication happened and that the client did actually receive what he paid for, even if it sucks it's not what was expected.
  21. If I'm understanding this correctly, she scaled the ref sheet down enough for it to pixelate and cause color issues. And I just don't understand why. If you're working on a canvas that small, surely you can keep the ref sheet open in another window that you can then pick from without it becoming overly complicated? Or even have a specific palette saved for the project that you update for each commission that you work on. There are so many ways to avoid this, and none of them involve laying the blame for your own error at the feet of the commissioner.

I'm also happy to say that the subsequent pieces I've commissioned from her have been an equally delightful experience. The second piece is a prime example of where she applied her experience as an artist to achieve the feeling I wanted for a piece; she took the rather generic pose idea I had and turned it into something much, much more than I had envisoned. 23. Dec. 17th, 2011 at 2:40 AM creamytea WHO: KawazuSlime WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kawazuslime/ WHAT: A digital commission of a fully inked and colored three-paneled comic. WHEN: Dec 9, 2011 PROOF: No images beyond text, but textual content NSFW - mature fetish themed. http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/1787/commissionblurred.png EXPLAIN: The linked screenshot in the proof section includes the entire conversation regarding the commission in chronological order from start to finish, including the unimportant parts. Recap: I was initially approached via notes on FurAffinity from someone wanting a commission, NSFW fetish material. The conversation was taken to gmail. The commissioner kept offering to pay me extra or double and mentioned he...had another commission going, and asked me several times about doing other commissions, but continuously complained of not having enough money to pay me fully for my quoted work. I ended up doing a full-color, three-panel comic for $15 less than I originally quoted for a commission of just an uncolored sketch of a 4-paneled comic, so I feel this commissioner got a really good value for his money. Several times throughout the commission, he expressed that he was happy with the results, but continued to ask for minute changes which, up to a point, I was happy to do. Twice after I felt we both considered the commission closed, he asked for more changes to the finished product and at one point he also asked me for free art. I was in direct email communication for two days in a row, answering his emails within minutes of his sending them (evidenced by timestamps in the screenshot). His commission was started and fully finished within 4 days which I find to be an extremely fast turn-around time compared to how long most artists take and given the amount of changes he requested. When I went longer than 15 hours without answering one of his emails, he sent several messages to me through gmail and to FurAffinity insinuating that I was blowing him off, taking his extra $5, and behaving unprofessionally. After a few more exchanges and in less than 24 hours, the same picture had gone from "probably the best commission I've had done in years" to "I should have never commissioned you. I know now that it was a grand waste of time and money..." My personal skills that he had been so happy with before were also called into question in a retaliatory manner. I even did an extra edit for him at the end in good faith so that we could hopefully resolve the transaction smoothly which he threw back in my face, calling me inept. I feel I went above and beyond for this person and worked with him on every detail every step of the way, but he turned out to be fickle and extremely difficult to please. His words could easily crush someone with less fortitude. I have had possibly over a hundred commissions in the last 8 or 9 years and this is the first time I have ended a commission unhappily. UPDATE: I received a new email in my inbox over the holidays from this person: http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/5149/followup.png I am torn about responding. I feel if I respond and tell him no, he will lash out at me again even if I am polite, and if I don't respond at all, he will still lash out for ignoring him. I really do hate to ignore people, but I currently have no intentions of replying. I am posting this update solely to ensure this log remains complete.

I contacted her through e-mail (which sadly I cannot find) and she said she'd send the charms. After not seeing them I sent her another e-mail requiring them on October 22nd, and same thing she said to give her my address and she'd send them. Now it's nearly the end of the year and I've yet to see or hear from her. I'm beyond irritated at this point with her and pretty much lying to me that she's going to send them. And to add to this she keeps opening up for MORE charms making me think if she's even working on the ones she currently owes. At this point in time all I really want now is my money back.

EDIT 11/09/2011: She has completed her half - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6825227/ The following is the original post I made. PROOF: 1: Trade brought up here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5517582/ (Screen shot of Convo: X ) 2: Her note to me about what she wants from our trade: X 3: I sent a reply with a reference, and affirmation of what I would like in return (as stated in the reply thread on her submission). 4: I post my half of our trade. Her response is positive, even though I missed a few things. X 5: There was a bit of back and forth as I drew up new and improved references for my character, but the subject remained the same. I kept her up to date for 'when she was going to work on it'. 6: Fast forward to today's exchange. My name disappeared from the owed-art list, so I asked about it. 7: Screen shot of shouts: X EXPLAIN: In response to a question about whether or not she took commissions for a certain style of feral art she was doing, I asked if she would be willing to trade since she was unable to take commissions. She was very receptive to the idea (1). She sent me a note with what she wanted (2), and I replied with what I wanted. During the next several months, I changed the species of what I wanted and sent her notes to update her with new references. Each time she replied positively and said she hadn't started on it yet. (5) While this was going on, she had my name on her list of 'people she owed art'. Since I was on her to do list I wasn't terribly worried about it. Between the time that I had finished my half (4) and now, she has drawn dozens of personal art pieces and commissions. Commissions are important and should come first, so those I'm not terribly worried about. However, in my perspective, if I owe half of an art trade, that takes priority over numerous personal pieces. I noticed today, after seeing another of her submissions in my messages and going to her page, that my name has vanished from her owed-art list. I ask about it (7) and receive a (rather strange) response. At no point prior to her response was I contacted and told that she was not going to follow through with her half. Today is the first I even heard about this, and it was not agreed upon by both parties. EDIT: She has contacted me asking what I would like to have drawn, but also says it may take a while due to a lot of things going on in her life. Will post updates as they come. The edit above was from the original post and is not current.
