About Me

  1. This was my first art commission I payed so I don't have much experience in doing these commissions. So, I commissioned a speedpaint of a OC of mine for $150 that would include a cum version variant. We agreed upon a half up front and a half later when they finish payment. I provided some references and I also sketch my OC in a certain pose I want. They provided me with a sketch of how it would look like before they worked on it. There were a few edits and comments on what they should fix on my OC. There were gaps of no communication from the artist, but they responded back later with them saying they were really busy which was understandable. m March 24 was the last time they responded back to my post. I know its COVID 19 and people have some IRL personal problems, but it would be nice if they told me or sent some kind of proof they were working on my art piece.
  2. On July 24th 2018, I messaged Leone on Furry Amino asking if he had anymore slots left since he's an artist that I've commissioned several times before with no issue. So, I assumed that there would be no problems this time either and that all should go well, and I decided on a $57 half-body commission. An invoice was sent to me the next day (25th) and paid in full. I followed up with another message on August 10th asking if the commission could be changed to a different character if he hadn't started on it yet, which was OK'd and I provided a reference for the new character I wanted it to be of. Some messages are left out due to irrelevancy, since we were on friendly terms and would chit-chat about things unrelated to my commission in-between things. A character name is also censored due to them (the character) no longer belonging to or being associated with me. This is where the gaps in communication began. I didn't hear from him again until a month later (September 18th) but was aware of IRL issues that he had been experiencing at the time, so I didn't mind being patient and waiting as long as he needed. After September 18th, I didn't hear from him again until October 2nd and apologized in case a username change on my end had caused any confusion. He stated having more issues, so I didn't want to cause him any additional stress and was content to continue waiting. After October, I didn't hear from him again until November 9 and was made aware of a post that pertained to his IRL happenings and why the delays were happening. So, again, I was content to wait as long as needed and didn't hear from him again until January of this year when I was the one to reach out and message him on the 4th & 7th. I was becoming less active on Amino at this current time, so our conversation switched over to Twitter DMs after this point. I was told that my commission had been completed and that the file had simply been misplaced, although I never received or saw any WIPs of it prior to this whereas I had been sent WIPs every other time I've commissioned him. I tried to remain as understanding as possible and politely asked for a refund. After speaking with him on January 7th & 8th, I then heard from him on the 15th and was given a partial refund since he stated being unable to deliver the finished commission to me due to problems with his computer. Was also told that he was having issues with misplacing completed commissions in general. I was happy to receive an update and partial refund of my commission, but then another large gap ensued where there was no further communication from him until March. After March, I didn't hear from him until three months later (this past) June when I was the one to message him asking for another update. I mentioned that I wouldn't mind commissioning him again sometime regardless of the issues concerning this particular transaction, since I do love his work and had always had pleasant experiences working with him prior to this. Details were discussed, and I decided that I would be fine with a newer character of mine being drawn rather than receiving the remainder of my refund. I was updated on June 19th and told that he would be beginning work on it and also saw that he had simultaneously posted an opening for more slots on Amino. I was more hopeful that my commission would be completed this time considering that I did receive a sketch, but this hasn't been the case seeing as he's completed everyone else's commissions for the batch he just took mid-June excluding mine, which is something that I've been waiting on for almost a year now. I've received no further updates since July 8th and am somewhat frustrated with this and feel guilty about pressing for more updates, because I'm a very quiet and anxious person. I still have yet to receive the finished commission or any updated WIPs beyond the sketch.
  3. In 2018, I approached Sparkles about getting a fursuit commission from her. For various reasons, this fell through, but I did ask if she made custom plushes instead. She seemed to be excited at the idea and we quickly set to work planning it out. On May 5th, 2018, satisfied that what we'd planned was something we were both happy with, I sent Sparkles £200 to cover the entire cost of the commission. I was told I would get regular updates on the commission progress, but that it would take a few months to finish. Over the course of the next year, I would ask about the progress of the plush, and was told she'd had difficulties finding materials, and that she had a lot of commissions to work throigh and was working through her backlog slowly. We didn't only discuss the commission, as we were friends, and at this point in time I wasn't particularly concerned. On March 19th, I finally heard back from her in regards to the plush - I was next in line to be finished after another she was working on. I was told work would begin in the next month or so. I heard practically nothing about the plush after this, until I reached out between August 31st 2019 and October 10th 2019. She finally responded on October 28th to apologise for the delay. I offered the possibility of a partial refund, but she seemed to prefer trying to finish the plush, though she didn't rule a refund out. In January of 2020, my housing situation took a turn and I ended up having to ask Sparkles if she could refund me asap to help me out in the interrim. She agreed, and said she'd get it together in the next few weeks - but I never received anything. By April, my housing situation was a lot better, and I let her know the refund was no longer as urgent. However, I continued to ask her about the status of getring the funds together. For a while, she left my messages unread, including an FA note, though she finally responded on July 6th 2020, apologised and told me she'd lost my messages in the midst of her telegram being busy. I wss told the refund would be sorted out in the next few weeks. As of writing, this was the last day I received any correspondece from Sparkles. I continued messaging her about the refund, and shd has left my messages unread since then. in the end, I told her that all I wanted was closure - that I figured I would not see this money again, and that I just wanted to have her tell me as much. I have heard nothing back from her.
  4. **THIS BEWARE CONTAINS NSFW CONTENT** Commissioning Lenex I have commissioned Lenex in the past and was very happy with his work. His work is high quality and he’s very reasonably priced. I bought my slot in May of 2017, Lenex was very fast responding to my emails and after I paid Lenex told me the slot was mine. Proof of Lenex confirming my slot: https://i.gyazo.com/8146060f8528ebf0b5d6b23f0c4b3777.png Proof me paying Lenex: https://i.gyazo.com/b8870641506f235efbda00f96d828201.png No Contact and few FA updates. After this...Uploads on Lenex’s FA began to slow to a crawl. I would see maybe one finished commission a month posted. This was often backlog from 2016. The only updates I ever saw from Lenex were him often opening his queue again. Explaining he needed rent, understandable. But after taking another bulk of comic commissions, Lenex would seemingly vanish for another month. He did this every month. Open the queue, vanish, open the queue vanish. And so on. This behaviour started to concern me, but I tried to stay positive. One of Lenex’s last major updates was him asking if anybody would be willing to ‘float’ their commission. This meant they would be willing to wait an undisclosed amount of time for their product. I opted for this, as I felt sorry for Lenex’s heavy workload beginning to get on top of him. I'm afraid I've no proof of this beyond an email I sent to Lenex confirming I am willing to wait. At one point, Lenex even asked some people to opt for refunds rather than getting their work. He admits both will be timely processes though. Lenex taking on more commissions via journals every month: https://i.gyazo.com/9959aaf4e22c36efa121511417e829ea.png Lenex asking people to be refunded instead.: https://i.gyazo.com/7f8fa0b5aab76a24c961aaab0634c0c0.png My email to Lenexwants: https://i.gyazo.com/72dd9e553fb0b9f6412b5d0bfc8ba864.png Lenex cancels all Commissions In June of 2018 Lenex posted an update informing everybody he would be transforming all commissions into artistic freedom, or receive a refund. This was due to Lenex no longer wishing to draw graphic artwork featuring non consensual acts. This upset many people who expressed their frustration at this sudden change. Nobody had been given any notice nor would their old commissions from 2016/17 be honoured despite being commissioned before this sudden change of ToS. At this point I was tempted to get a refund. Even though my commission would not be affected by this new change of ToS as it did not contain noncon/gore. I decided against this as judging by the few updates Lenex posted to FA were money worries, I felt a refund would be more tedious than waiting for my product. I filled in lenex’s new commission form and sent my email. I was put back into his queue. After this update, Lenex ceased to post all together. Lenex's new commission form (warning: contains NSFW imagery and mentions of fetish): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27543789/ Lenex apologises and retracts his new rule. 3 Months ago, after 5 months of further silence on his FA. Lenex posted a journal apologising for his lack of organisation and handling of commissions. Lenex at this point had responded to a note I had sent him asking for a previous commission to be removed for personal reasons. This was the first time Lenex had spoken to me since first buying the slot in 2017. Lenex disabled comments on this journal admitting in the journal he didn't wish to get any kind of backlash. A link to the journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8933648/ (in case of deletion, a screencap) https://i.gyazo.com/e143de4d13d211b43d5eec992b3aaf4d.png I cannot provide proof of the note as the account I noted Lenex on is disabled and I've since lost my credentials to it I'm afraid. If Ican break into it I will post it if mods deem it relevant. No contact still On 20/1/2019 I sent Lenex an email asking for an ATA on my two year standing commission. As of 12/2/2019 I have still had no response from him. My email to Lenex: https://i.gyazo.com/c50b3b3eaa404ff98ff8467b62af06ea.png Final comments I feel saddened it has come to this as I have been a fan of Lenex’s work since 2014. I do not like writing complaints. I feel I've been more than patient with Lenex but now I feel myself and many of Lenex’s customers have simply been used as loans to pay for rent and put onto uncertain waiting lists with no communication and now Lenex has taken on far too much to handle. While I do feel for Lenex who clearly has had some hardships the last year or so, the complete lack of communication between both myself and all his other custom has pushed me to write this as a warning for anybody interested in this kind of artwork.
  5. I had given him money for a commission, however he made a few concerning posts that made me want to get a refund. He posted that he would refund, but when I messaged him he became hateful and refused to refund me.
  6. This happened back in 2017. I only recently learned that this website exists, so I decided to share my story. But first, a brief trip 2 years earlier, to 2015. Back in 2015, I ordered a hoodie from Dalmy for $80, and it was delivered a few months later at Anthrocon 2015 with no issues. Fantastic. 2 years later, in 2017, I placed an order for a second hoodie from him, but the price had jumped to $200. Okay, no problem. I paid him in person at his Dealer Table at Anthro New England 2017 and was told verbally that the lead time would be 2-3 weeks. Here is the line item from American Express’s website and the email receipt from Square: On February 6, 2018, I sent a note via the form at http://www.dalmydodatcreations.com/contact/ inquiring about current status of hoodie. I have no record of receiving a reply. On March 1st, 2017, I emailed a note to dalmy@dalmydodat.com asking about the hoodie. 3 days later, I got a bounce back: On March 9th, 2017, I pinged Dalmy on Telegram with my measurements, did not receive a response. I do not believe the Telegram name is public, so I probably should not share a screenshot as per this website’s guidelines. On March 11th, 2017, I checked his Twitter feed and saw that he posted a video on February 21st, 2017 that he would be shutting down. I replied to his tweet inquiring about my commission, and he assured me that my commission would still be completed: Source: https://archive.vn/DcR1j The refund form referenced was here: http://archive.is/nvm9Q This was the followup email I also sent on March 11th, 2017: I did not get a reply. Strangely enough, 5 months later on July 26th 2017, he posted that he was taking a fursuit commission for a minimum of $1600: Source: http://archive.is/RmLAS He then went on to say that it would be his “final commission” “for the foreseeable future”, which contradicts his previous statement to me that my commission would be completed: Source: http://archive.is/etfFJ On September 24th, 2017, I sent him a DM in inquiring about a refund and on October 25th, 2017 he replied asking for the "SquareCash information” so he could refund me. I replied on the same day with the email address the statement had been sent to. 1 month later on November 26th, I followed up again, asking about the refund. No answer was received. Screenshot of that conversation: I originally paid in person with my AmEx, the window in which to file a chargeback is approximately 60 days from when the charge appears on my statement, so we were well past that point. I have written off the $200 as a loss.
  7. Hello there, I am Kitteh6660 and I'd thought I would share a bad experience with what I had with the artist. As of the time of writing, I never received the icon and the artist likely has forgotten about that. It all started out back in June 2018 when I saw an offer for a cute icon and I'd thought, why not? A cheap art for a cute icon I would use for my profile. It all started out by sending notes and discussing what I wanted: an icon of me drinking a root beer. Innocent and simple, right? It's the type of icon that could be finished in a relatively short time. I paid the invoice back then and hoped for the art to come. I even got a WIP but then it abruptly never got finished. And the WIPs are deleted for some reason. Unfortunately, it's way past the 6 month deadline for a refund so that is no longer possible. The WIPs were deleted. Sadly. I once had contact of her on Discord but the text message logs just vanished and I can no longer retrieve the messages. She once had a server but it was also deleted. I don't think she's even on Discord anymore. I know $7.00 USD isn't a lot but I am very upset. I am a forgiving person but if I can ever get the finished artwork, I'd completely forgive her. Her FA profile but she seems to no longer be active as her last activity seems to be a year ago: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sinnamon-queen As of today, I never even got the artwork and none of the submissions on my gallery are from her. It's supposed to be a headshot commission with a root beer.
  8. Heyo! I wasn't intending to post a PSA at first but matters have forced my hand, and I find it now prudent to let the community know how unwise it may be to work with Quillcoil. I left a comment on her journal and was blocked in turn. As someone who Quillcoil actually owes art to, this is very unprofessional and concerning and I felt I now needed to make a PSA to let others know. The artist in question: Quillcoil (DA) / Shey (TH) In July 2017 I ordered a chibi commission and two customs: https://sta.sh/06y4mlv2s93 I've contacted her a few times in the intervening period, and eventually got the chibi in 2018: https://sta.sh/013dxcdz98o5 https://sta.sh/01llc40ojw9k https://www.deviantart.com/quillcoil/art/Nudi-738254656 https://sta.sh/02gj2l4qm3qh https://gyazo.com/1ec06c4e0af19e31596f830a6d796b9f It is now August 2020 and today, Quillcoil posted this status, which has since been deleted: https://www.deviantart.com/quillcoil/journal/Do-Not-Note-Me-853152907 (screenshot) I posted two (admittedly) irate comments owing to the frustration of my own situation as a customer who has been owed work for 3 years now and have little to no updates, and was blocked: https://gyazo.com/342e738332532c73da2f3e8d49361269 As you can see, Quillcoil has owed a lot of people artwork, and today, blocked one of the customers. The artist does not have a public work list, and their work ethic and communication concerning owed artworks is questionable and concerning. I recommend that people do not commission this artist and to be wary of transactions with them. The artist left an indirect response to the commenters on the journal nearly an hour later with their reasoning for their lack of communication and poor work ethic, as can be seen in this screenshot: https://sta.sh/0p20wjlw8wt
  9. Oct. 8th, 2011 at 3:21 AM shestah WHO: Donryu of FA / Catboyd of DA / Donovan WHERE: The agreement actually took place in person at the art institute of atlanta. WHAT: It was for a heavy duty trade on a pretty large scale. A poster sized painting of a scene from his novel. It was Digital. We agreed in the beginning of the winter quarter of 2006, roughly mid January. We had both agreed upon a large exchange. He was going to do two of my characters full color in traditional media, while I was doing a scene from his novel roughly 30" x 40" 400 dpi. An image that I would have charged $200 for if it were a commission. I completed my end in July of 2006.took a little over 40hrs. This was his response: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/8607/approvalcomments.png Over the next few years, I would ask him about his end every now and then, but he was always having a really hard time with life, or something really big was going on. I felt bad asking, so I let it go for a while. In 2009 I believe, my friends who were present when we initially made the deal to trade started urging me to contact him about it. So at the FWA convention, I asked him again. Life seemed to have gotten a bit worse for him. My friend Kelly thought he was just giving me the brush off again, since he was there and had all his art supplies with him. So we decided that we would give him a poke about it the next day. When we came by his table, he was busy coloring commissions for people. I was going to go back, since I get really nervous very easily, and he wasn't acknowledging us anyway, but Kelly greeted him and started talking with him about it. I felt bad that life wasn't treating him well, since I've been there myself. So when I looked at the art he was doing, I asked if maybe he would just do me one of the badges he was working on instead of the actual trade. I figured this would make life easier for him. He said sure. So I left it at that. I left a few reminders on his DA page during the next year, but no response. The next year, or the year after that (I seriously can't remember if it was 2010 or 2011) I went to his table and asked him about it again. This time, he said he was busy traveling conventions, and said he would not have access to anything but pencil and pen. So I would have to wait. My friend, now agitated with me for waiting so long, urged me to say something more. I brought up the fact that it had been many years, and he sort of went very quiet. It felt really awkward, so I wished him well and went back to my own table again... While at my table, a few artists told me he had no intention of doing any art in exchange for the painting I did. I told them that Donovan promised to do at least something this year. They all had a good laugh at my expense, then told me I should charge him as if it were a commission. I didn't take this seriously at first. Eight months later, after just watching him visit my page every once in a long while, I sent him this note: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/4103/notetocatboyd.png his Response: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1672/catboydresponse1.png It felt like every other time I talked to him, and this time, I sort of felt like he really was trying to blow me off again. So I responded with a bit more force, something I have never done. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4850/shayresponse2.png And my friends were right, because that note got me blocked from responding to him. I can no longer send him notes on DA at this point. But he still responded to me. http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/1080/catboydrespond3.png That was a blow. I probably shouldn't have kept at him in my second note, but I'm feeling really frustrated. After sharing the notes with the friends who were there during all the times I tried to talk to him, I ended up sending him a note on another website called FA in order to respond to him. Because there is really nothing more frustrating than someone calling you a liar then blocking your ability to respond. http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/4621/finalnote.png I sort of feel bad for my last note to him, since I wrote that while I was upset. I know that's just the worst thing you can do online, and I wish I hadn't done it. I really need to better control my frustration. I assume this will be our last correspondence, since I am blocked from commenting on his pages. As I stated in my note, I have just added him to my list of unpaid commissioners. If my notes were really out there and rude, please let me know, it was never my intention, since as far as I knew, we were friends. I guess I really just have to look at this as a loss. I'm not trying to say he is a bad person, or ruin his life in any way by posting this. I just want to post my experience. It's been very difficult, and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. I just received another note from Donovan after he had come across this page. http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/2074/donovanreplynew.png This is the badge/Icon he linked me: http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/3198/unled2hr.png I appreciate the effort, but he blocked me without asking for a ref of one of my characters, and has gotten it wrong. The name is also unfortunately wrong :C and, it seems to be digital... He is calling it a badge, but it is just one of the icons he is offering on FA. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6570479 All considering, I am actually just thankful for a much nicer reply and the unblock My reply: http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/5136/myreplyagain.png I hope my reply was not overly rude :C This is ongoing at the moment. Also, I would like to once again make sure that no one bothers him or notes him regarding this issue. I really frown upon harassment of any kind.
  10. I purchased this YCH in January 2020. I received one single update of a sketch, as shown, and that's it. I tried to be friendly, I tried to remind them and encourage and support them. But now it's been 3 months and I haven't gotten anything. I added them via Discord months ago and they never responded even though on their profile they have their email and discord "linked to their phone" and to contact them there. So I did but no response. Having 3 month old messages unopened and sitting in my outbox is getting under my skin since I paid $120 for it but nothing has been done. I sent the last message today, I can't even get a refund via PayPal because it's been too long. I'm at the end of my rope with sympathy and understanding at this point. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33717875/
  11. On November 15th Roger had posted a YCH that interested me, I had reached out to him and secured a slot in the YCH list. Upon securing a slot I was met with a very polite person who gathered the information required and quickly sought out to work. I had received a few updates within the week of paying them, and was really excited to see the finished product! However after a few weeks, I had not heard anything or received any updates, so I reached out and Roger explained that a few design choices I made may take longer, I reassured him that that would be fine and to take his time and not stress over it! After a while I still had not heard or received any progress updates, and had sent a few messages with a month in between, I know with Covid during January things kinda were starting to go upside down, so I was understanding!~ They finally responded and apologized and said they didn't mean to ghost me. I shrugged it off and told them not to worry about it. I then waited another 3 months with 1 message probing for updates once each month, with no response, when in march he finally responded with a screenshot of a small portion of the commission. I was pleased to see any progress at this point, as it has been quite a few months for a simple YCH. I praised them for their work and then waited for the next update to come, hopefully soon. For the last 5 months I've sent 1 message each month, asking for any sort of updates or response, and despite twitter saying that most of them were read, no response. This time I was getting worried, as they were posting frequently on their feed, but not responding to DM's. So I figured maybe I'll try messaging them on FA, maybe twitter DM's were messed up or something. So I proceeded to message them on FA, and about a day later I noticed that the message had been read, at the time of writing this post, that was almost 2 weeks ago. I really don't like going to this level with artists, especially those that I have commissioned in the past, but I am apparently not the only one, according to a recent shout on their FA shout list. So I just want to caution whoever I can, they draw great art, but just be mindful if you consider commissioning them!
  12. I feel i should do this after urging from an artist friend. early this year before a friends birthday i commissioned SugarPup on telegram from a local group chat. the art piece i ordered was something i dont believe was very much but it was 3 characters in a small shaded piece sitting together. thinking hey life gets busy and as an artist it would be valid to have a que for art i asked if they did indeed have one which you can see at the bottom of this post. At the price i have paid it was said to be at $45 but i did the transfer as friends and family since it wouldn't need them to pay for the full payment as such it came out at $46.61. since this is a decent chunk of change as at this point life had some curveballs and i lost my job i was a little more on edge with anything i spent money on as of this month, (july) there hasnt been any progress on the art piece to my knowledge and after multiple conversations spanning months to date usually simple things like. "hey hows things going with the art piece?'" but being a trusting person i am not sure how much of her replies have been valid with irl things happening alot to herself and her dogs they own so i gave them more time. at first it was a simple 2 month delay and i checked in in march. but as of now in july currently the 26 at time of posting i havent heard back from her and her telegram nickname has changed and the group we shared at one point she is no longer in so im not entirely sure if she is ghosting me or if something else has come up hence why this is a caution. granted ive been lucky and had an artist take a while due to other circumstances.,I cant go into who but it took over a year but i did finally get the piece and some extra material as compensation for the delay. i currently have no way of knowing if SugarPup has done any work on my commision to date or if she will ever finish or send it forward as she still has no art que to my knowledge and i cannot get ahold of the artist via any known means i would love to get my money back or get my commision but im not sure what steps to take from here... ;-;
  13. -- This is my first post here and I really don't want to be writing this. So sorry if some details are fuzzy or if this post is messy. Paypal are attached. $80 to start, added $20 more later. So in 2018 I was looking for Telegram stickers to be done in-stream. I posted over on Facebook to find Almighty. They responded -- Which I instantly sent details over FA. -- They didn't work very long on my commission, only maybe, 30 minutes. Which was fine! I didn't have a problem with that at all. I think I contact them a day later about my commission -- -- But as you can see, they didn't really update me here at all. -- -- So opted for Discord! At this point I was getting really on edge, they post a lot on Facebook. Even about commissions. And I saw progress once on stream. Here are shots of all my conversation with her on Discord. I left out some of the bottom half for my privacy. She claims she had no internet despite being very active on Facebook. I dunno, it seems weird to me. (I could be wrong.) And here's the last message I've sent her. No response.
  14. I had contacted them in March because I really enjoyed their art and they were open for commissions. We had talked a bit and and settled on a three character commission. The price was really cheap essentially being 1 usd per character. However I paid them and they never delivered, I went back to check on them and they said they had “personal problems” jump forward months later, today I went to check up on them only to find out I was blocked. I’m not complaining about the fact I lost about 3 Usd but more of the fact that they took the money and ran.
  15. Contacted him via E-mail, where we confirmed the commission script idea then moved to discord for faster chat. In discord we settled on the price/rates where I proceeded to pay half up front on 9/15/19 (150 USD) (censored Screen shot below) They worked on the first page which was submitted for review and verification on 10/17/19 They have had zero responses in discord since 10/17/19. (screen shot below) I sent a check up via discord, which states a generic either no longer valid/blocked response. I found the original contact e-mail and sent a update request and have still received no response. I found his twitter and sent him inquiry on the discord issue, they sent a response confirming their discord was still active (so that means it had to be blocked), so confirmed why I was contacting them. Upon realizing this was regarding a commission they flaked on they then blocked me on twitter as well. (screen shot below) at this point it's been 9 months since the last actual confirmation of any work from the artist with all attempts to contact them resulting in ghosting/blocks.
  16. On the 28th of September, 2019, I bid on and successfully won a YCH auction. There were a few issues with paypal (detailed below) but payment was eventually successfully sent on September 30th, 2019. I sent subsequent Furaffinity notes at the start of November, then again in February, then once more June requesting a refund. On all occasions, I have been promised the artwork in the next several days. On each occasion this was false, no art has been delivered, and a refund has not been given. Since winning my auction, over forty subsequent YCH's have been posted, suggesting that this artist is taking on far more work than is reasonable. This is doubly so given that they have mentioned being under the weather in their final note to me, and despite this they are posting YCHs as recently as today (30th June, 2020). At this stage, I have written off the amount paid, I don't expect to see it returned. I would like to warn people of my experience with this artist to avoid potential upset. Evidence below: The original thread naming me (11Sharn11) as the winner of the YCH: Subsequent telegram conversation including confirmation of payment (NOTE: Conversation dated 3rd of June, 2020 at bottom, regarding the note I'd sent requesting a refund): First note requesting update, dated December 2019: Second note requesting update, dated April 2020: Third and final note requesting refund, dated June 2020: Further telegram conversation dated June 2020, including subsequent message requesting an update on the refund with no reply: Artist's scraps gallery showing subsequent YCH's posted (note the YCH I had bid on, second from bottom right): Artist's current gallery, including YCHs currently in progress:
  17. I have never written a Beware before. I didn’t even want to make this one, but this is completely unacceptable and future buyers should be aware. This is a small time fursuit maker by the name of Majeste. Back on June 23rd 2020, I purchased a custom set of puffy paws with claws after having talked details of the design and other pertinent information. I was quoted $190 and paid the full $190. Remember that price was QUOTED TO ME, because it will be relevant later on. Majeste, at first, I had no issues with. The paws were going to take a little while and that was fine, that had already been established up front. The design of the paws was reviewed and I picked out my fur and minky fabrics that would be used to make these paws. I was under the impression that the fabrics that I chose WITH Majeste’s help would be the exact furs ordered and used on my paws. I don’t get any updates for a couple weeks, which again, is fine, I was aware of the time frame for paws turnaround. However, the issue comes in when Majeste sends me a WIP photo. I could see the backing of the pink minky looked strange, textured, but I don’t sew, I don’t work with materials, so I didn’t know. I wasn’t concerned at this point. I had no reason to believe the fabric was not the fabric I chose. The next photo I received was of one finished paw. This is where the major issue comes into play: the minky on the paws was NOT the minky I had chosen/agreed upon when the order for the paws was placed. I had been given no prior indication of this change. At first, I sort of glossed over it. It was devastated, but I didn’t want to become a nightmare customer or cause issues. I assumed Majeste would have a solution in mind. Majeste did not at all offer to fix the problem up front, she did not even address it until I did first. As if it was no issue. I still wanted my paws, but I was extremely unhappy. I paid for a service and product, and neither was delivered as promised/agreed upon. I paid $190 for paws the way they had been discussed, not with a change in minky. I will admit, I became more agitated and less willing to accept this work as the conversation went on. At this point, I did not want to prolong the wait time, and I did not want to be treated as an inconvenience. I suggested upgraded shipping as a fair means of coming to a resolution. Majeste would have to make no refund, no alterations - simply mail the paws with an upgraded shipping method. This is where she becomes extremely aggressive with me. She tries to have me pay MORE to even FIX the paws in the first place, otherwise they won’t be fixed. She tells ME that MY behavior is unacceptable and tells me I’m scamming her. Scamming her after I had already paid the $190 for my paws. Right. She continues, saying she already discounted my paws (I never asked for any discount, Majeste herself quoted me the price of $190 from the get go, as mentioned earlier) and if I want things to be “fair”, I’ll pay the difference of her “usual” paw price and she’ll fix them. Needless to say, I was extremely upset by this interaction. As a paying customer, I felt completely sidelined and overall unhappy with the finished result of my custom made product. Now, I’m going to have to have these fixed myself. In the end, Majeste did ship them and provide a tracking number to me. I do not have the paws in my hands as of writing this, but I would like to update based on the quality of the paws I do receive. There are LOTS of screenshots, as this is the entire conversation as it took place on Amino. Please. Proceed with extreme caution if you are considering working with Maj-Mania749. Attached are all the screenshots of every interaction I had with Majeste. I included everything, even the conversation bits, so there’s nothing lost and all context is there. Hopefully it’s all in order!
  18. On the 8th of April this year I asked xBlueAshesx about a Lion King YCH. She then accepted, I gave her my PayPal info and paid. Unfortunately I don't have the acceptance PM anymore, but here's a screenshot of the PayPal payment as proof. On the 13th of July, it'd been almost 3 months and I hadn't received anything back from xBlueAshesx yet, not even a WIP picture. I suggested a refund if she hadn't started on the art piece yet. This PM was read, but never replied to. After 6 days with no acknowledgement, it was then that I decided to request a chargeback. xBlueAshesx finally replied and offered to finish the piece. I refused, feeling like it would be rushed. Her final PM said I would receive a refund and also how I should "read an artist's TOS in the future", which I actually did do before placing the commission. I would've been happy to wait 3 months, I've actually waited that long for commissions in the past, but like I said, I was expecting to see a WIP pic at this point at least. Sadly, nothing. I'm now blocked by her on Furaffinity and no longer able to contact her. She continues to take on new commissions.
  19. TL;DR at the bottom. Hey everyone! This is Sugarbabie, formerly known as CherishArts. I was put in touch with her through a mutual friend. She said that Sugar had opened up emergency comms to pay for her baby, I liked her style, so I said sure. It seemed like a win win. I ordered two pieces, a ref sheet and a bust, totalling $70 + a $30 tip because I was in a giving mood. This was on January 27th, 2020. (Censored name is the mutual friend) What followed was 6 months of radio silence for the most part. No updates, no WIPs, mostly ignoring my requests for updates. There were a lot of excuses regarding health and real life complications. I was more than happy to oblige. I know life is tough right now, and I am patient. Suddenly in May it dawned on me I hadn't seen her discord updated in a long time. I went and checked and it had ceased to exist. Naturally this sent alarm bells ringing. I went and checked her FA, no updates there for a month, but someone mentioned a second page. Sure enough, Cherish was now SugarBabie. All her socials, Ko-Fi, and Patreon were all new as of March. Suspecting she rebranded to avoid fulfilling her queue, I added her on her new discord and told her how bad this looked. She profusely apologized. 2020 sucks, life is hard, apology accepted. She offered to rush the art overnight, or give me a refund. I stated I wasn't interested in the art anymore, and I would like a refund. However with the ghosting, I didn't trust her to follow through, so I told her I would start a chargeback with my bank. She agreed. I called Paypal, they told me to call my bank. My bank told me that since the transaction was over 90 days old, they couldn't initiate a chargeback, and I would have to go through the artist for a refund. I message Sugar back, explain the situation, and am hit with a flat out refusal. Apparently her offer of a refund was off the table when I said I would do it. When I explained what the bank had told me, she dug in, taking personal offense to me messaging after I "couldn't get it done on my own." I was shocked. Frustrated, I went to her FA and left a shout that explained the situation. Essentially a 1 star yelp review, it was rapidly removed and I was blocked. I messaged her back and asked for a refund on the service she failed to provide. She continued to claim she fulfilled her TOS though nothing was delivered, stating I voided the contract by initiating a refund. She somehow thinks she can keep the money though nothing was given aside from random free art that isn't of my character nor is it what I asked for. Apparently that qualifies as fulfilling the order, just throwing something random at the client. To top it all off, she threatened to sue if I "slandered her business" with bad reviews or "harassed" her by asking for the refund she said I was entitled to, and apparently I'm being reported to law enforcement, though I guarantee that's just a bluff. TL;DR: Artist attempts to avoid fulfilling order by rebranding, refuses to refund me after I went to handle it on my own, claims she fulfilled her TOS by throwing random art at me, threatens to sue if I keep leaving bad reviews.
  20. Back in 2018 I had stumbled apon a (mainly) TF2 artist, I had initially asked her for a 2 character half body piece. She accepted and the transaction was sent (sent via Steam items equal to her prices at the time): About 3 days later I was given a WIP piece, making me believe that the commission was soon to be done with. After that I had sent an update ref, and a bit later she sends me saying that its done shes just on the shading now (I was not given an update photo of it 'done' asides some shading). I (on steam) had asked her to change it to my Pyro loadout in game (hence why I asked that, but steam convos delete themselves) and just to make an icon instead of a half body. She was fine with this and proceeded to tell me that it was done and on her PC but she couldn't access it due to it being finals week and her not being allowed on her PC during them. This was the last message I sent to her, and I have yet to hear any updates. The bit I don't have screenshots for was her telling me she'd refund me on Steam, and .. steam being the way it is. There's no way for me to retrieve those messages unfortunately. But this has been over 2 years, and she has completely ghosted me. As well as continued advertising commissions, whilst leaving mine unfinished and forgotten about. I don't have much photo proof due to.. this being like 75% of conversations that went on.
  21. Around 2 months ago, an artist by the name of Ynesiarte was offering some headshot commissions. I took interest in their art style and the cheap pricing, so I commented on their post on FurAffinity to claim a slot (which I cannot show because they deleted their FurAffinity account). Then then reached out to me, and gave me their payment information. I sent payment via PayPal and it was confirmed that payment had gone through. I then waited a couple of days, and wondering where my commission was, (they said in the FurAffinity post that the commission would take 1-2 days) I contacted them and being as polite as I could, asked about my commission. ' They then replied that they had another social account somewhere in which they were also taking orders, and that they were sorry for the delay and that they didn’t warn me in advance. I should’ve taken the red flag that they were taking in many commissions at a time, but I instantly forgave them, took that as a sufficient amount of information, and because I saw other people’s commissions being completed and posted on their FurAffinity Gallery, (which I cannot show due to them deleting their account) I had hope that it would be finished. I waited for a month with no updates, and part of this is on me, but I was so busy with life at the time and I didn’t want to feel like I was bombarding a poor artist who was already doing many commissions at a time just to make money. So I waited, and after a month of being fed up with waiting and no update, I sent a message asking what was going on, and saying that if they were too busy to take my commission, I would happily take a refund. That message wasn’t even read, and so I just ignored the situation for a while, hoping and assuming it was an emergency of some kind. After checking in another month later, (a couple days ago) I realized that they had deleted their FurAffinity account entirely, maybe because of an emergency, or maybe to avoid the long and overwhelming list of commissions that they had build up over the course of a couple of months. Im posting this beware because they might try to rebrand themselves and sell more art, but because I don’t have pictures of their art, I can’t officially prove if someone I find might be them rebranded and such, which is frustrating. I tried looking them up on all social media platforms after their FurAffinity account was deleted under the same username Ynesiarte, but it came to no avail. I really don’t know what this beware will do to help anyone due to their account being deleted and such, but if they come back up onto any platform, I personally would not commission any art from them. They proved to be immensely lacking in proper communication with the client, ignored my attempts at reaching out to them, and in the end, didn’t deliver the final product they promised me and I didn’t receive anything close to a refund. Luckily, the commission was only around $15, so I didn’t have to learn this lesson too hard, but just be aware of you are commissioning. I really hate to do this to someone and post a beware about them, but they left me no other choice. Thank you for reading my beware. Proof: This was the first note after I commented on their post on FurAffinity under the account Ynesiarte. I then sent payment. Waited for around 3-4 days, and then finally reached out to them. They replied, as seen below. Then, after a month had past, I sent the message below to them. As you can see in the screenshot after that, this same message had not been read by them (the shaded people are other artists I have noted and commissioned during this time). Their account was still up at the time, so either there was an emergency, (which I was suspecting at the time was the case) they just didn’t get the message, (which seems unlikely as I messaged them that same way before and they got my messages just fine) or they were deliberately ignoring my message (my personal hypothesis but with no substantial evidence). This is harder to show as it doesn’t say the account name when it says that the following page is not available, but if you click the link to their previous FurAffinity account, it will say that the page is unavailable and was deleted by the owner. I’ll leave both the link and the screenshot below. Link: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/ynesiarte/
  22. In April of 2015 a brand of designer underwear with a hole for allowing a tail as to be worn with a fursuit was advertised. This brand was called Fursace. It seemed pretty legit at the time and so I pre-ordered a pair. Things were looking good, as an email announcing the beginning of shipping came about a month later. I looked forward to receiving my undergarments soon after. At this time they requested an additional $10 for shipping, which I thought was strange but I was okay with it at the time. Unfortunately a couple of months passed, no underwear, and then finally I received an email about delays with a bunch of excuses. I was sympathetic though, and decided to give them a chance, believing they would come through in the end. A few more months went by, no underwear. In mid December, I received yet another email with even more excuses and apologies, and a plea for people to not file PayPal disputes because they were DEFINITELY going to send out their product if people have them a chance because their PayPal account had been rendered unusable. Again I gave them the benefit of the doubt, something I now regret doing. They promised to work on getting orders out and that they would be waiving the $10 shipping fee (which I had already paid), but I never even got a refund on that. About a month passed and there was no word, and so I sent a DM through twitter. It went completely ignored. Then I made some tweets about the issue a couple years later and finally got a response in DM. We had a discussion and Dalmy said that they were rebranding and would be issuing refunds for Fursace once they finished with releasing the new line of apparel, now called Maul Apparel. I wasn't happy with this, but they wouldn't budge, so I just had to wait. I waited 5 months and sent another DM, which was completely ignored, and all current attempts to contact them about this issue in any way has been ignored. I really just want my refund, and for everyone else who never got their products to be refunded. But if I could get mine, I would say I am satisfied.
  23. I ordered a custom design from him 6 months ago, initially I was okay waiting as he said he had just left hospital and I did not want to rush him right after. A few months pass, I attempt to contact him again. No response. I try again and I still don't receive a response. Eventually, I resorted to posting on his FA page, which he just ignored and deleted from his wall. I feel bad posting something like this, but the artist also has posted that he is taking commissions up on his page, and he did accept payment.
  24. Throwaway account + censoring because I'd like to protect my privacy. TL;DR at bottom. First commissioned around the end of January 2019. Was one of their standard commissions through their generic commission forms. Their TOS stated that they'd deliver inside of 90 days tops. They've since deleted their toyhou.se panel that has their standard commissions, so I don't have picture proof of the page. I do mention it in the emails, however. After that initial email trade, that was all I heard from them for around an entire half year. Here are another 3 emails I sent over the course of that, the first two of which got no response. I can understand the first one not needing a response, but they provided no updates whatsoever and did not reply after I tried to contact them about their 90-day guarantee. I will also mention this was their "business" email. In the meantime, they were posting all kinds of adoptables on their alternate accounts, more than multiple times per month. Here are some of the ones they posted from mid October to mid November, in the span of one month: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33962721/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33816433/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33688677/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33562958/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33486213/ These hardly scratch the surface, however. They frequently opened on other commission types and whatnot in the time I waited for my commission, including (but likely not limited to) Ko-fi headshot commissions, Ko-fi kobold doodle commissions, and an INSANE amount of adoptables. This also isn't including higher-quality commissions on their main account they posted within the first month of me commissioning them. For perspective, you can browse their gallery here (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/doodlies) and skim over the appalling amount of (mostly adoptables) content their is from the start of Feb. 2019 to the end of Nov. 2019. Keep in mind that the vast majority of these were NOT things they had queued up prior to me commissioning them. Most of these commissions they actively/voluntarily took up while I was waiting for mine. Their Twitter (https://twitter.com/MaimFace) was also frequently updated with their adoptables postings. Being normally patient with artists, I decided to stick it out until around December. After that point, I had waited almost an entire year (as well as watched a ton of their work come and go with my commission being largely ignored) and didn't trust that they would actually deliver in the quoted time frame, so I asked for a refund which they ironically delivered somewhat promptly. TL;DR: Extremely unresponsive emails despite being their "business" email, sometimes going months without replying. Despite a 90-day guarantee, they did not deliver in the span of an entire year, which ended up in a requested refund. Frequently posted numerous other types of commissions and seemed to largely disregard mine despite their own guarantees regarding timeliness.
  25. Dec. 16th, 2011 at 3:08 AM alex_dachshund I kinda feel silly for posting this here, since it was only a $2 commission, but money is money I suppose and she took my money and never provided. WHO: Electrocat, Electropaw ArtworksWHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/electrocat/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/user/electropawartworks WHAT: $2 Chibi drawingWHEN: July 7th, 2011PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/ (Screencap here: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0aaq9bqa4 ) EXPLAIN: Basically Electrocat was offering cheap $2 chibis and of course I thought that was a swell offer and decided to commission her. I thought it would be done in no time since I've done trades with her in the past and she was speedy on those but I've never actually commissioned her so I decided to help her out a bit. I left her a comment on the journal saying I was interested in a chibi: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 I sent her the money immediately that day: http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg The next day she posts a WIP of the chibis. I thought, oh goody, they'll be done in no time! http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ Wrong. Months go by and still no finished chibis, and she still continues to take icons and ref sheet commissions and do personal art despite owing us the chibis. She also kept posting journals claiming the chibis are almost done, or that she's going to finish them soon but still nothing. I leave a harmless shout on her page a few months ago (it's been covered up by various shouts on her page by now) asking about the status of my chibi and she claims she was going to work on it in a week, and a week comes and goes. (I don't have a screencap of her shout since I periodically like to clear my shoutbox). I also note her asking about the chibis in October but it's marked as unread and was probably ignored. My note to her: http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg (Reason why I said "I know you hate this" is because I believe I read somewhere that someone she owed an outstanding commission to, noted her, and she completely flipped out over it. That was probably a bit out of line and I do apologize.) I am a fan of Electrocat's art, it's cute and funny at times, but I am really frustrated that my $2 chibi doodle from several months ago is taking way longer than it should and I still haven't seen any updates on it since that last WIP image. :< I would like either my chibi done or a refund at this point. I probably won't commission her again after this since she's left us in the dark about our art. I am posting this here in hopes she sees it and finishes the chibis she owes me and several others.]] Time Line of Events: July 7th -- Commissioned her for the chibi. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2508310/#cid:20066994 http://www.iaza.com/work/111216C/iaza15286014529900.jpg July 8th -- She posts a WIP of the chibis. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6079422/ August ??? -- I leave a shout on her page asking for an update and she claims they will be done in a week. (No screencaps, sorry!) October 13th -- Noted her asking for an update. Note was ignored. http://www.iaza.com/work/111218C/iaza15286011265100.jpg Dec. 20th -- Posted a shout on her userpage. It has been ignored. And she continues to upload personal art (6 new submissions the day I posted my shout). http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286048655400.png Dec. 22nd -- Sent her a note politely asking for an update or a refund. It has been read and I have received my refund. http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286055990400.png My note http://www.iaza.com/work/111222C/iaza15286057781000.jpg Refund received I have received my refund. I guess all the beware stands for now is that she takes a VERY LONG TIME to do commissions and you'll receive little to no WIPs about it.
