About Me

  1. This item has been upgraded from a Caution to a Beware given the suit's construction flaws and the fact that it is unlikely to meet deadline. Currently, there are three emails in queue to be added to the post, but we are waiting on Camaro to supply a few more concerning the DTD and the fur selection. Please note: Users do not have the ability to edit their own posts, so we're doing our best to keep it updated.
  2. I would also like to add, with the excuse about that type of fur material. I looked at the twitter post about this suit, and someone posted a suit they have made from the same/similar material. It looks good and not super wrinkly, NOTHING to the degree of awful that this suit is. I really feel I should point this out and say it's not the material, this is overall just bad quality.
  3. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/858039.html Hi! This is my first time posting here, so sorry if anything's confusing! I also didn't really want to post this because it felt a bit meager--but this has been eating away at me for the past few months. ;-; WHO: MamaGizzy http://mamagizzy.deviantart.com/ WHERE: http://mamagizzy.deviantart.com/ WHAT: PNG to an Adoptable WHEN: February 17th 2015 - Current Day PROOF: http://i.imgur.com/gJC4CFY.png http://i.imgur.com/p4a9uGx.png http://i.imgur.com/g3q9tJ1.png EXPLAIN: So I have experience when it comes to buying (and selling) adoptables. Usually after the purchase; it's always good to give the buyer the PNG for their purchase. But, sadly, this was not the case. I paid $10 for the adoptable and when I was told I would get the PNG late, I didn't think too much of it. I thought it'd be like a "you'll get it within a week because I am busy" sort of thing but to my dismay this did not happen. I waited three months before I contacted MamaGizzy again. http://i.imgur.com/6eyLqel.png 18 days later she replies, saying she didn't realize I didn't get my adopt. I got a little eager that I would finally get the PNG and I sent her a link to the adoptable page... Only to be ignored again. I had also anxious sent that "Hello" message in case she forgot again but I was still greeted with silence. And, as the screencaps suggest, she has read each of the last two notes but has not replied. I got to admit I'm pretty bummed over this. 😞 EDIT: I was able to receive the PNG. So this issue was resolved! ❤️
  4. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/851367.html UPDATE: Contact was made, work was finished to my satisfaction. Issue is now resolved. I stand with the other posting regarding this artist, as communication was non existent. My take away is that I will research more and keep on communication, as I think now that 3 months between contact points are a bit long. Who: FA user Nuka_foxy3 Where: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/nukafoxy3/ What: Full color portrait of a character from a description. When, Proof and explanation all laid out below Pinged the artist on March 17th. Asked if she would be open to a description only commission. I was doing this in a batch with 3 others. 1 2 Commission idea was accepted, payment was sent. paypal record.JPG A journal was posted about 3 months later, she stated that she did not keep up with notes, and if her commissioners had not heard from her to contact her reminding her about the commission. I posted in the thread, she stated that she hadn't forgotten about it. (cannot post anything from this, journal was deleted.) Sent a note on August 29th 2014 asking for an update. Got a fairly sharp response. 3 Sent the next note January 19th, 2015. Was assured that I would have something in a week. That was 4 months ago. No additional updates have been given. 4 This was my final note. She tells me that I need to re send her the details, as she has deleted the note. She had planned to have my things done in a week in January, and then decided to delete the note with the description between then and now. 5.JPG I am writing this because it has been well over a year since the commission was agreed upon and paid for. I don't expect my money back or delivered product at this time. I followed instructions, I allowed the responsibility that should have been hers to be placed on me. She has broken 2 promise dates, and made me contact her to figure out if she still knew that she owed me work. In the year that has passed, 80+ commissions have shown up on her account, and she has opened up for commissions and YCH's and trades and badges and everything else.
  5. justcheezit (justcheezit) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-14 17:59 Commissioner beware: Loftyk9 WHO: Loftyk9 WHERE: Tumblr/Fur Affinity WHAT: 4 part sketch sequence/ mini comic WHEN: Nov. 16th 2018 - Jan. 6th 2019 EXPLAIN: I did a commission for Loftyk9 back in November 16th of 2018; of which hadn't been paid for until January 6th of 2019. Initially they had an error with the payment due to an unstable connection,I had given them time to rectify this error as I had other clients drafts to handle. More hindrances came about, ranging from being in the hospital, handling holiday related expenses and once again running into more transaction errors when reminded of the invoice a month and a half after the commission had been completed. I will openly admit to having handled it poorly on my behalf by not enforcing my pay up front policy; however, having given them more than enough time to have the transaction handled, being promised it would be handled at the moment of being reminded, and finally being told of a similar transaction error or simply getting no response until asked again, their credibility has been damaged and I'm unable to say that they're pleasant to do business with. PROOF: Gallery detailing the initial transaction, error and eventual resolving https://imgur.com/a/afyOXUR
  6. Not only that, but the fur on the bridge of the nose looks wrinkled. There's not even a joint there to create wrinkles.
  7. ITT: People defending awful work. Also, I thought this part of Lemonbrat's defense was pretty funny: Sorry, what? If this is what Lemonbrat considers an average sample of their suits, then I dread to think what they would consider a 'botched' suit. Because this is a budget suit AT BEST. Not worth 3.6k. The head looks nothing like a feline base and as 'professionals' Lemonbrat should have known that fur would not magically make the head into a feline's. This one spins me out a bit because it's so obvious.
  8. thistlewolf Mar. 6th, 2012 03:59 pm (local) 1. RedVelvetBat 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/redvelvetbat/ 3. mid-February 4. I commissioned him for a friend's birthday gift, asking if he'd be able to make a fairly tight deadline (around two weeks). He agreed and finished it only three days later. As well as being quick, he was extremely polite and very upbeat, and his work is consistently wonderful. I couldn't recommend him more. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7422534 marus_puppy Mar. 6th, 2012 04:08 pm (local) dozmuffinxc 1. dozmuffinxc of LJ (not sure if she has another gallery, I certainly haven't found one and I've looked around.) 2. http://dozmuffinxc.livejournal.com/ 3. I worked with her from mid-December 2011 until early January 2012 4. I participated in a charity auction on LJ starting in December and offering one of my custom animal ornaments of whatever the winner wanted and she was the winner! She was a real sweetheart throughout the whole process giving me some slack when it came finals and my moving home for break, put up several journal posts about how excited she was about it, and even sent me a thank you card! :D For a little unknown artist like me, that was soooo wonderful. She's such a gracious commissioner, anyone would be lucky to work with her!! korsetkoat Mar. 6th, 2012 04:41 pm (local) kinasaur 1. kinasaur 2. http://kinasaur.deviantart.com/ 3. A few days ago 4. Krowzi 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/krowzi 3. Commissioned August 28th 4. I commissioned Krowzi on August 28th for a pair of dolls. By the end of October, she had completed the dolls and shipped them. When they hadn't arrived by the end of January (she is in Canada and I am in the US so we thought maybe they got stuck in customs) she offered to remake the dolls for me and reship them for me as long as I covered the shipping costs. Even though this was neither party's fault that they got lost in the mail, she rectified the situation and provided me with two gorgeous dolls! Not only is her craftsmanship worth the money but she provides the customer service to go with it! Thanks Krowzi! <3 (Original dolls that got lost: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/comis/ICEE.jpg , and the remade ones that made it safe and sound: http://www.krowzi.com/kerryjunk/icee2.jpg ) sisterskift Mar. 6th, 2012 04:52 pm (local) 1. Reddyeno5 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/reddyeno5/ 3. Commissioned on February 10th, image completed Feb. 15th, shipped 17th, arrived 21st. 4. Reddyeno5 was having a charcoal portrait sale at a massive discount, so I decided to get one. Communication was great and the portrait itself was finished very fast but doesn't look rushed at all: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7417490/ I received the traditional copy within a short amount of time, and it had no damage or smudges whatsoever. I'm very happy with the finished product and I would definitely commission them again. puritikoneko Mar. 6th, 2012 05:37 pm (local) 1. Katibara 2. http://furaffinity.net/user/Katibara 3. Commissioned on February 14th for a Valentine's Day sketch. Commissioned again on the end of February for a Lineart (To be colored). 4. I've been commissioning Katibara for small purchases here and there for over a year now, the last two this past February being the most recent. I find it very appealing that she works so fast with the references given and always does an amazing job with the characters. Lately, she's only been taking small commissions here and there via stream, so if you're looking for something quick and pretty for a really, really good price, try keeping an eye out for her stream commission advertisements. She's very polite, and makes sure that what she's working on is satisfactory, even if it's something like a $3.00 sketch. I've seen her make several changes to a single sketch for someone else at their request without a fuss. She's a real peach to work with and her customer service skills are stellar. My commissioned pieces from Kati: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7479471 (Will be colored) - $10.00 for the line art, paid an extra $5.00 at my request to have it colored (she offered to color it for $2.00) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7404546 (Far right) $3.00 Edited at 2012-03-06 05:38 pm (local) charryzarry Mar. 6th, 2012 07:20 pm (local) 1. Isil 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/isil 3. Buying since January, 2011 4. I've commissioned Isil over 120 times in the past year; he is definitely the most reliable artist I know. I cannot think of enough good things to say about this artist; if you buy a piece from him, you definitely won't regret it. GO DO IT NOW! A very reliable artist, with a great work ethic. Not afraid to talk to you if she's unsure about something. Also, she draws the cutest eyes: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7534518 Been really happy with everything I've got from her, and looking forward to more. inkstainedrat Mar. 7th, 2012 12:30 pm (local) I second Miss Neko. I commissioned her for the second time last month and she was an absolute joy to work with. She provided an amazingly swift turn around, thoughtfully brought up details I hadn't even considered but proved to be an asset to character design, maintained very good communication/contact, and helped bring a new character to life for me. Her customer service skills are exemplary. latiro Mar. 6th, 2012 09:43 pm (local) wolf-nymph/shadow-wolf/Eskiworks 1. wolf-nymph (FA)/shadow-wolf (DA)/Eskiworks (Nabyn) 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wolf-nymph/ (FA)/ http://shadow-wolf.deviantart.com/ (DA)/ http://eskiworks.nabyn.com/ (Nabyn) 3. completed on March 5 via Livestream 4. I had commissioned Carn for a very complex art doll of my character Iktomi (see icon for reference) and she completed him 3 days later in his full glory. Not only is she very fast, but is an absolute angel and a dear heart. Fabulous to work with, she double boxes her work. He just arrived today from the UK and he is magnificent!!! http://carn-dearg.deviantart.com/#/d4qx3gy marus_puppy Mar. 7th, 2012 03:11 pm (local) Re: Carn-Dearg: highly recommended!!! Her talent and kind heart definitely go far, but her time was just remarkable. I've been handling Iki now for a bit today and he's fully poseable right down to his wings! If anyone ever wants a character turned into a doll like him, I would highly recommend her. <3 inkstainedrat Mar. 7th, 2012 12:37 pm (local) 1. She was very friendly and posted a lot of WIP pics on her Tumblr as well, which is here: http://pomtea.tumblr.com/ I'm not sure if she's still open for commissions, but regardless her art is some of my favorite on FA! Definitely check her out. nekona Mar. 7th, 2012 10:57 pm (local) 1. Name of the person you recommend: Zenia 2. Details (Here's where you tell us why they are so awesome! What made the transaction go so well? Zenia is very quick, and goes through the commission step by step with you via email. She will make sure you are happy with every detail and is generally just a pleasure to work with. :) The turn around on my last piece was something like 3 days I think. She doesn't trade quality for speed either so no worries on that count. She did an excellent job on both pieces! On the Minerva commission I didn't give her too many details on the Byakhee mount, and it seems she went and looked up some more details on her own. I can't recommend her enough, I know I'll be going back to her when I need some more art done. For the curious, here are the two pieces I commissioned, though be forewarned she does have some properly flagged NSFW art in her profile so be careful when looking at work. Initial Query: February 13. Payment: February 19. Mailed Sketch back to artist: February 21. Scanned Image Received: March 5. Hard Copy Image Received: March 12. 4. My girlfriend commissioned Elmenora for a traditional sketch of two of our OCs in October of 2011. (Original Sketch seen here in the lower right hand corner: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6864256/ ) As adorable as the rough sketch was I had to get it finished. Her charge to finish the sketch traditionally was very reasonable and she was a sweetheart to work with. Communication was very good and turn around time was excellent, even including two segments of shipping time. A scan of the completed image can be found here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7528984/. It is safe for work. The finished water color painting is far more vibrant than the scan, I believe her scanner ate some of the color. All together Elmenora was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely do business with her again. zin103 Mar. 20th, 2012 06:51 pm (local) 1. rebornedphoenix 2. http://rebornedphoenix.deviantart.com/ 3. Can't remember exact date but about a month for the commission to be done to start to finish 4. Details: She may take a long time because she got life issue but if she is late, she will always admit she wrong and say sorry. Not like many artist who left me hanging for 6 month without even saying sorry <_< One of her best skill is following direction, paying attention to detail, and actually listening to what people want. So I don't need to give her a bunch of direction but only a few guideline and she won't disappoint me ever. I commission her like 3 time and I am always blown away. I think she one of the few who take time to read what I give her. She also draw everything from nude, guy, girl, yaoi, etc which is also hard to find.

On January 21st, I sent another note requesting an update: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fpjygqp3kgbmo4l/update2.png?dl=0 It was not read until I sent another note on January 25th informing them that I wanted either an update on my commission, or a refund: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hjb9gt8l7yelmkb/update3.png?dl=0 Note that in this I mistakenly said it had been nearly 6 weeks, but I had meant to type 5. They told me that they hadn't been responding to notes because they were sick in bed, but despite being too sick to respond, they were still fairly active, posting YCH's, Journals, and commissions: NSFW https://www.dropbox.com/s/81z6t11rhyz7z3v/dateproof.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/zzr4v69gx36ihaq/janjournals.png?dl=0 I expressed to them my frustration with no communication from them, and informed them that if it couldn't be completed before the end of January, I would like a refund: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h3exxd6ylu05h9b/noexcuse.png?dl=0 I was told that they do not offer refunds: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5chyv9kw6alolr0/3weeks.png?dl=0 Also, they apparently forgot how long ago I commissioned them, as they state that it has "only been 3 weeks you've been waiting when I said 2. It's only a week after the approximate date I gave you and the entire week it's been "late" I've been sick." which is not correct. I grew increasingly frustrated and sent this note: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gf8xv0uft58z0wz/5weeks.png?dl=0 They get angry with me, and accuse me of blackmailing them: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xwreia7fv5hv7h0/blackmail.png?dl=0 I deny that and once again try to explain my frustrations: https://www.dropbox.com/s/du4hwwwvedgt6ta/notblackmail.png?dl=0 They attempt to provide more places to contact them, as apparently FA is not their main profile: https://www.dropbox.com/s/efb197ildm2mbku/healthfirst.png?dl=0 At this point, I was far and beyond done with dealing with them so I ask again for a refund: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l7ppuyea171p5es/done.png?dl=0 Looking back, I also realize they said "about one to two weeks" not exactly 1-2 weeks, but the priciple of them not responding to me still stands. They sent me one last note, accusing me of "literally threatening" them and being unprofessional: https://www.dropbox.com/s/seodcd66pz4efrs/threat.png?dl=0 This was the note that made me decided to post them to AB. They remind me that I only paid X amount compared to their usual cost, and that I'm throwing a fit because I'm not getting my "fap material" due to their lung infection. Overall, this artist uses their sickness as a reason why they were unable to respond to notes, despite being on consistently enough that they should easily have been able to respond with some sort of update. When confronted, they shoved their "no refunds" TOS rule in my face and accused me of blackmailing and threatening them, which is untrue. They also reminded me that their are other people in their queue that have waiting longer than I, though I couldn't have had anyway of knowing that, and then they offer to show me their names, which is definitely not appropriate. Twice they forgot how long it had been since I had initially commissioned them, even though I repeatedly told them it had been 5 weeks. I also noticed that three times they mention the number of people in their queue, and each time it changes, from 10, to 12, to 5. This inconsistency confused and concerned me. I recieved my refund so I suppose it's "resolved" but that in no way excuses their behavior. It was a hassle dealing with this artist, and I don't ever wish to go through something like this again.

After around five to six months I tried messaging Swizzle on Skype however he seemed to ignore any sort of contact by being all ways DnD. Swizzle posted http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6309942/ on December 1st, 2014 got in contact again with email this time. He got back to me after the first email, but after that hasn't said anything since then to me and others in the journal or his shout box and has either wiped his inkbunny account clean or it was suspended. Update [05/28/15] : On 05/09/2015 I emailed Swizzle saying I wanted a refund on the commission I ordered back in January 2014. The next day he sent a email apologizing saying he couldn't give me a ETA for a refund but offered to do the picture in a stream the following week and took his offer. We setup when the stream would happen Sunday 05/24/15 , missed the date due to a mishap and got the stream going Tuesday 05/26/15 and he just finished shading the picture today.
  11. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/815858.html WHO: Toshiko-paws on Deviantart WHERE: http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Three Custom Plush WHEN: Paid may 9th PROOF: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/446701609/3435207962 proof of payment for first two plush http://comments.deviantart.com/1/446701609/3477552854 proof of payment for third plush EXPLAIN: I saw this journal http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/journal/PLUSHIE-IRON-ARTIST-CLOSED-446701609 and I thought it was an amazing deal! The person's plush are very cute. Looking back I should have realized that 100 plush in 5 months was just a ridiculous goal. Even when done in batches of 40 or so. That was my own fault and I should have paid more attention to what was going on. Here is their to do list; http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/journal/The-list-457347681 which is actually missing a lot of other owed works as you could see by browsing their journals. Not only are the plush late (they originally said it would take 6 months to complete them all, but sadly that was removed so I don't have any proof of that.) but I have gotten zero progress reports on my plush. Yes they have posted a large amount of wip images in their gallery, but as far as I can tell none are for me except perhaps this one http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/art/Plushie-wips-475235074 from back in august. I did not have any experience with their horrific attitude until here; http://comments.deviantart.com/1/460139356/3611129259 where I addressed my concerns with her taking upon more commissions. I had honestly never contacted them directly about my commissions before besides when I had paid. I never asked anything of them at any point or anything of the sort. I never spoke to them privately, either. I will however admit that I could have been more polite, but I definitely did not expect such a reaction. I am also debating with myself if I should even contact them for a progress update because I don't really want to get such a reaction. They also not do refunds as seen here; http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/journal/Plushie-terms-of-service-451088417 Edit: strangely enough after months of no contact I finally got an update only a few days after posting this http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/art/ALL-THE-PLUSHIE-WIPS-505855532 however it only shows one of the three plush having been worked on. Besides that this is still, i hope, a very valid beware. Edit2: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/460139356/3714548908 seems like someone from here decided to comment on DA which I believe was against the rules? If not then I apologize, but either way please keep your questions and concerns here and do not take it offsite. Edit3: http://toshiko-paws.deviantart.com/art/Tiny-One-508183868 finished one of them though its missing the back of the mane as shown here http://tea-cats.deviantart.com/art/Tiny-One-Ref-404380865 ill remove this part when/if it is fixed! Edit 4: Quite some time later there were a few hiccups (a mane for a charater was promised, but they ended up being unable to do that. parts of the plush arent sewn very well having smal holes between the seams, etc.) with some missed deadlines and such, but i got them in the mail today. I'll consider this resolved, but still a very valid beware. I feel that they have a lot to work on and while they are a good person that doesnt excuse their bad business. I really sincerely hope they learn and improve.

PROOF: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/klb764ym9hk0299/Artists Beware Log.png EXPLAIN: Note Logs explain it all, but, commissioned her, waited over a year for the piece, communication was shoddy at best, wouldn't refund, gives no ETA, defends the wait by saying she's waited 2 years for art before. From what little I can see before she deletes the comments, this isn't new for her. Current Mood:Frustrated EDIT: Sep. 29th 2014 Update: Was talking with the artist, still won't refund but is offering to make the wait up to me by doing the piece she was paid to do. Oh, and a sketch. I've included the full conversation below. The TLDR is she asked me to take this post down and offered to finish the piece she never started... after I give her the info again, I told her I'm not interested in trying to get the art out of her anymore, after over a year, I just want my refund. Excuses follow, she really wants to settle the dispute art wise and offered to do a little extra in a sketch as her way of fixing this. Apparently he told me he got his credit card stolen and that I'll get the money back. I've sent him a note some days later, but he never replied. I noticed he wasn't active on Furaffinity anymore after this, he probably left the site to make another account. I've sent him two emails with his paypal adress asking him to refund me, but he didn't reply to me there either. The 21 May he got his money back, and I had 40(+16€ of fees) to give to paypal. The money in my account was -56€. I had to get it back to 0€. I phoned to paypal to know if I could get the amount refunded, but since it's no physical good, they can't do anything about it. What he probably did was to issue a refund because his credit card was « stolen », I checked with couple artists and he did the same to them. And he was found active on his account 2 weeks ago from now, but I still got no words from him. Current Mood: Still waiting
  14. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/787838.html WHO + WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/starmony/ WHAT: On March 22nd 2014 I (officially) contacted Starmony via FurAffinity about purchasing two custom 'Bunicorn' designs from her. Her Bunicorn can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12569526/ WHEN: Initial contact was in March 2014 Agreement to design customs for me was March 9th, 2014. Design ideas sent by me on March 22nd, 2014. Payment sent via PayPal on May 4th, 2014. (*note that I sent this payment just before midnight on May 3rd) Preview for only one of the designs received on May 26th, 2014. Updated preview for the same design received on June 1st, 2014. Contact bump + A_B warning sent on August 2nd, 2014. PROOF: All Notes (sent + received) as well as PayPal's proof of payment shown in this image: http://i.imgur.com/uQdAqrg.png EXPLAIN: I first contacted Starmony to ask if her 'Bunicorn' character was from a closed species or not, because I was interested in making/purchasing one. She replied to me stating that while they were a closed species, she would be happy to make a custom for me. I explained that I was interested in buying a pair of customs, and gave details about inspiration and colour palettes. We exchanged information, payment was sent, and only one of the designs was ever shown to me having been worked on. I have never received proof that the other design was even started. All interaction, discussing payment and design elements of the two designs have been pleasant and fine until June of this year. Once before this point communication had been slow, as seen in the PROOF screenshot, but I too know how it is to just step away from a site for a little while. I was okay with this because communication seemed to be okay after that, and I had been given proof of work. However it has been two months now since I sent a reply to her on June 2nd, and she has (at the time of writing this) not opened that Note. I have sent a 'warning' Note to her on August 2nd, but this Note too has not been opened. I understand taking your time on something, and I also understand that sometimes struggles happen with designs. What I don't appreciate though is a complete lack of communication, especially paired with total inactivity on the site itself. While I would love to have both completed designs still, at this point they have lost their luster to me and I would accept a refund. Since partial work on one of the designs was given to me, I would accept a partial refund, and keep the unfinished design if the artist so chooses. Since it has been months since this transaction began, I am not sure if I can request a refund via PayPal or not, so I am hoping to work this out with the artist herself. I will update this post with any new information when I receive it. EDIT OCTOBER 5TH 2015: I have received a full refund from Starmony with help through a friend of hers, Lunarisse. This issue may be marked as resolved.

I sent them one last and final note asking for an update: https://i.imgur.com/JufRJCI.png which was on Sept 12 which has not been read either. I kind of effed myself over, which I know is my own fault. There is no way I can do a chargeback or get my money back at this point since I waited too long to do so. Only until the end of March 2017 did she drop contact from her Facebook page, and FA. (Only "activity" she had was replying to a comment in June on her DA) EXPLAIN: So I never had trouble with her throughout the year up until she stopped updating her Facebook page, as that's what she used to update people on progress. So I waited around until June and noticed she replied to a comment on her DA page so I thought she was active again but when I went to check her Facebook page to see if she had any updates it was now gone. So I sent her a note on DA asking what happened and to get an update on my commission. She didn't respond to that so I contacted another commissioner to ask them what was happening and they are in the dark as well as I. Here's the sketched of my commission This is from the past 2 weeks or so from her new account JONSIE. These are refs that I had sent her when she asked if she could do art of my characters instead. I believe she sent me a message on facebook asking about it. And lastly, proof of payment. EXPLAIN: I'm not really too sure what to put here that's not already in the screenshots, but long story short I had followed her and her art around for quite sometime. We were actually even friends at one point, not super close, but you get the idea. I've always loved her art and she's always been a kind person with a good reputation so what could go wrong? I can't remember if I've ever commissioned her before this point, but other people had and always got what they paid for and in a pretty timely manner. When I first saw her species floating around I kind of fell in love with them and wanted one of my own and once she started to offer customs I jumped at the chance to get one. And the rest is pretty much in the messages. This has been going on since May of last year, and I've tried my best to be patient and understanding because I know life happens. I even opted for different kinds of art to make up for what I had paid for and never even received that. I actually just counted this as a loss after a year of waiting until she messaged me two weeks ago. So here were are a year and seven months later I have nothing to show for the $150 I paid to her. Discussing details one, and two. EXPLAIN: I received a note from BigRottieDawg shortly after watching him on FA expressing interest in working with me; I'd been on the lookout for a custom 3D head so jumped at the chance! We eventually decided on a trade and I offered a two-character piece for my half which was agreed to. He was able to show me a few progress shots in a very short amount of time which looked great and put us off to a promising start! My half was completed a couple of days later on May 28th (can be seen here but is NSFW.) Contact dropped off after that a little and the next update I have record of was in October 2015. (His link to the screenshot of the model was sent in a second note.) At this point the model looked almost finished apart from textures. I am generally happy to wait as long as needed providing contact is good but things dropped off again until August 5th 2016 (he sent me an update while I was out of town but it looked great!) He promised to send me a colour preview the next day but nothing was ever sent. I sent him a note on September 18th 2016 asking if we could set a final date for delivery to which he offered October 1st, which I agreed to. We're now in November and I haven't heard anything since that date. Honestly at this point I'm just frustrated; his half of the deal has been mostly finished for the best part of a year from what I can tell but he just isn't delivering. He has opened for commissions since our trade beginning and has delivered most of them, but I think a few customers are still waiting also. 😕 EDIT: Received a note from BigRottieDawg the day after this was posted and received the 3D model via email on November 19th so am now marking this as resolved. 🙂

I sent a few reminders to her, and i wasn't angry or mad at all, because i hate to put pressure on an artist, and it doesn't help at all. She said i would be on the "to do list" but nothing, and it's like that since the first remind about the commssion. But recently and since the notes i sent, she posted many many pics, YCH's and taken more commissions, and nothing changed. And i use this Artist Beware as example : http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/840382.html I can not recommend commissioning this artist due to their lack of professionalism and to say the least the massive backlog Ryunwoofie has.

The notes explain the reason for my discomfort with the artist. I very rarely follow-up with trusted artists, and even when I do it’s 60-90 days out.. I always feel like I am a bother asking for an update. In any event – I hadn’t heard any responses back from this artist at all, only one person had their commission completed out of the batch of 4.
