About Me

1. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/783939.html WHO: Shizimiru on DA / Comico on FA WHERE: http://shizimiru.deviantart.com/ WHAT: I actually have a LOT of stuff on Shizi, but I'm still waiting on a couple screenshots from friends before I post a full...bio? On her, so the main focus of this AB is on MY character. The Character in question: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9912995/ I bought this guy from Shizimiru back in February of 2013, he was a part of her species, the Shimiren. He originally started out as an egg in an adopt auction ( what his egg looked like can be seen in the right-hand corner of the linked reference above) and I won him. I was sent and Invoice from Shizimiru to pay for him after I won him, in which I payed the invoice. Around May of the same year, I found out that Shizimiru is a big-time scam artist and wanted nothing else to do with her. Out of spite, she has tried to re-sell this character I bought from her several times over, refusing to admit that I payed for him even after showing evidence of the payment. As far as I know, its been resold at least twice and she is currently trying to again. WHEN: February 9th 2013- Now PROOF: Screenshots of the payment/invoice: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1qspcf4oxerklgv/Bhanu Payment 1 point 2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/6spqbz9cnml9lhu/Bhanu Payment 2 point 2.png?dl=0 (if for whatever reason you think these screenshots are forged, I will be more than glad to do a screen-share or a stream to prove otherwise, just send me a note on my DA: Silverwindstar) Screenshots of her Reselling or Trying to Resell him: 12/7/2013: https://www.dropbox.com/s/frybnxba5fvhome/bhanu_reupload_shizi_by_crazylovecat-d6x48v9.png?dl=0 12/7/2013: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7umhrj09li3muz/bhanu_shizi_screencap_by_crazylovecat-d6x3s42.png?dl=0 (this is a different upload. she uploaded it several times in the same day for some reason?) At some point after that she resold him to Emberfoxy1 on DA Link: http://fav.me/d72myo4 Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wcw7qabprljk0f4/bhanu reuploaded by emberfoxy1.PNG?dl=0 Screenshot of All of the Shimiren from the egg batch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sa8231nteg0lzbm/shimiren_screencap_by_crazylovecat-d6x3t53.png?dl=0 (she doesn't have permission to upload these but has anyways. As far as I know she hasn't tried to resell the others but I wouldn't put it past her.) Link of her currently trying to sell him (current date: 7/21/2014): Link: http://fav.me/d7ro8hu (EDIT: she changed the submission file to something else) Screenshots: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r1b1gmpvm81o4e1/bhanu reupload 2014 1.PNG?dl=0 (I had to zoom out so you could see the whole thing) https://www.dropbox.com/s/f7635stcprwvx19/bhanu reupload 2014 2.PNG?dl=0 (I zoomed back in so you can read what it says.) P.S.: Crazylovecat is my old DA name EDIT: she uploaded it again and disabled the comments (Date: 7/30/2014): Link: http://shizimiru.deviantart.com/art/Electric-Shimiren-FOR-SALE-471967515 Screenshots: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o38jpus4rgaehs2/bhanureupload73014_by_silverwindstar-d7t186g.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/yz3ee2daa5ho12h/bhanureupload73014_description_by_silverwindstar-d7t18el.png?dl=0 (zoomed in for the text here) Funny thing is, she refuses to admit I ever payed for him, yet she was willing to buy a commission from someone of our characters together?: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10392334/ You can obviously see her commenting on it and showing no sign that I had done something wrong. :I EXPLAIN: Sooo...I can't get DA to take anything down since I'm not the original artist of Bhanu's reference sheet. I talked to Kingneroche (aka Ibee) but it seems DA isn't really taking it seriously :< I sadly had the Admin Realitysquared work on my ticket and he responded very rudely and called the ticket 'resolved' when it most certainly isn't. Oh well, I've been working on redesigning Bhanu anyways, so that is that. I've given up on trying to resolve this with reason so I'm just going to move on and forget. However, I wanted to make an AB anyways to at least warn people not to buy this if you see it. Umm...if I think anything needs to be added I'll get to it later. Its late and just writing this has gotten my heart-rate up so I need to call it quits for now. EDIT IMPORTANT: I noticed some of you were commenting on her account. DON'T. Calling her out and leaving insults is not going to help the situation. If you want to warn people, then link them to this AB but don't go and start raising a mess on her account, its immature and your not making yourselves look any better by doing that. So PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON HER ACCOUNT.
2. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/782932.html WHO: CharChar2 on ChickenSmoothie lady--bug on Deviantart WHERE: http://lady--bug.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Digital Reference of my fursona. WHEN: Commissioned on October 6th, 2013. Trouble started about a week afterwards. PROOF: Conversation is read from the bottom to the top! Also read from bottom to the top! Payment proof: EXPLAIN: I commissioned them in October of 2013 to make a digital reference of my fursona. We agreed on the payment pictured above, and yes, pets are a valuable currency on that website. So, afterwards, I sent Charchar2 a PM with a description of the character. No screenshots of this because at the time, I hadn't seen any red flags. The description was along the lines of, "A cyborg German Shepard with a green belly, black top, and a robotic right forearm." She told me okay, and accepted the trade for the pets, and she'd get started right away. A few days later she messaged me and showed me the ref. Everything looked good, until I saw that the arm was a normal dog arm. None of the arms or legs were robotic at all. So I replied, told her everything looked good except the right arm was supposed to be robotic. Me, being naive and trusting, didn't take any screencaps still. She apologized, and told me that she'd try and fix it soon but she had other people waiting for commissions and was slightly busy. I was okay with that, and just told her to get it done as soon as she could. I waited for, probably until February of this year. I was quietly stalking her pages, watching her take more and more commissions while hoping that she hadn't forgotten to fix the arm. Still, I got nothing. A month later, in March, I was getting tired of waiting, so I messaged her and asked if she was ever going to fix the arm. She told me she had no idea what I was talking about and that I was probably confusing her with someone else. I showed her the trade, and told her what I had commissioned. She apologized and told me she would look through her files and see if she could find the ref and fix it. I told her that was fine, but let me know when she found it. So I waited again to July. I messaged her and asked her if she was going to redraw it, because I was assuming she hadn't found the file. Thats when that whole conversation occured. I admit I could have maintained a more calm tone, but I feel very frustrated that a simple fix that could have been easily done in 30 minutes would take over 9 months to tell me she had forgotten about it. UPDATE So, after telling me that she traded away the payment and doesnt have the pets anymore... http://i58.tinypic.com/2pzxjec.jpg . Yep. I did get my refund, but I don't think I will be commissioning them again. They're a great artist, as long as your character is mistake proof.
3. It's short tipped fur, so all the wrinkles will show in it. IMO if OP didn't specifically ask for this fur, the builder should have avoided it or said something. Goodness.
4. Thank you for the explanation! I don't see how/why they would have chosen this style of fur instead of just shaving down faux fur like most suits. It looks appalling.
5. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/932724.html The incident occurred earlier in the year, but the artist is again taking commissions without finishing her current list. (Some of the people on the list have been waiting for over a year.) I am putting a record up here just in case. WHO: Sharkfu on DA Fraud on FA Vicious on Weasyl dydoe on Tumblr Former usernames include: bohemianjc (Twitter/Twitch/?), Atroci (DA), Debauches (Facebook), Plushiez, JamieBroLol WHERE: http://sharkfu.deviantart.com https://www.furaffinity.net/user/fraud WHAT: Several digital art commissions. There were at least two that were spaced several years apart. (screencaps below) WHEN: Our interactions began in early 2013. She was in a financial crisis and her bank had charged her an overdraft fee. I helped her out by giving her a small loan and when she still could not make ends meet, I commissioned her for a drawing. We fell in and out of contact until summer of 2015, when she was once again in a financial crisis. I commissioned her yet again. In the summer of 2016, I began noting her about the commission, whether she intended to finish it or issue a refund. I got one response saying that she would be willing to refund me, but nothing afterwards. She then posted her journal offering to sell a gryphon design, which is when the screencaps begin. PROOF: Our conversation: http://sta.sh/222ie5e1znd0?edit=1 Backup link: http://imgur.com/a/UC2WV EXPLAIN: I approached offering a trade: clear all of her debt (and then some) in exchange for the gryphon. I included PayPal screenshots in case she had forgotten about the art. She refused the trade, then attempted to get out of refunding the full amount. (The latter might have been a simple misunderstanding on their part.) She then claimed that she had not received any payment from me. After having PayPal send copies of the receipt to her and providing additional screenshots of receipts, she acknowledged that I had paid her, but insisted that I had sent the money as a gift or loan instead of payment. She also seems to be under the impression that after PayPal buyer protection runs out, she is under no obligation to complete owed work. In addition, she posted several journals asking commissioners to remind her of owed work. Though I did indeed comment on two of them, she deleted the journals and declared that not commenting on the journals meant that I voided all of her obligations. In the end, I provided a screenshot where I did indeed commission her and I finally got my refund. Though I was lucky enough to receive a refund (and indeed, several others have), there are others who are still waiting. The artist always seems to be in some sort of financial crisis and takes emergency commissions which she does not always complete. EDITED 11/14/16 with more alternate usernames.
6. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/922190.html WHO: Jaykuma / DatPisces WHERE: NSFW http://www.jaykuma.deviantart.com/ NSFW https://www.furaffinity.net/user/datpisces/ WHAT: An art trade WHEN: 4 months ago we started talking, 3 months ago scheduled it to be 2 months ago, told today it was cancelled after doing part of mine and being ignored for two months PROOF: Agreement on the trade: http://i.imgur.com/y1FuipO.png and NSFW http://i.imgur.com/P8Eso5Q.png My completed work of the trade (about half of my part asked for) NSFW http://i.imgur.com/tgBSaNM.png Their cancellation http://i.imgur.com/OhY7X6U.png EXPLAIN: Jaykuma on deviantart/DatPisces on Furaffinity had agreed to an art trade with me 4 months ago. http://i.imgur.com/y1FuipO.png They said we'd need to schedule it to be a month later. http://i.imgur.com/WZiQB2i.png Fast forward a month and they say they're starting their half tomorrow at 2am Est. http://i.imgur.com/0iD45y2.png So we work out the specifics and I start working on my half of the trade. NSFW http://i.imgur.com/P8Eso5Q.png After a few days I contact them again with what I had finished (NSFW http://i.imgur.com/tgBSaNM.png) at which point they let me know that they haven't started but they'll be done with the first part by the end of the week (because they started playing Overwatch http://i.imgur.com/K85BRA9.png). I figure alright, I'll be patient. I wait 3-4 weeks and hear nothing back from them so I send a note saying it's been a while and asking if they're still active. They read it but don't reply. A couple of weeks later I send another note asking if they forgot to reply or is something up. They don't bother opening the message. After another month of them ignoring me I decide to message their DA account asking if they could get back to me on FA. They reply saying sorry but they need to cancel the trade because "I've been busy with patreon stuff". http://i.imgur.com/OhY7X6U.png Normally I don't care if a trade gets cancelled, stuff happens. However the "starting soon!" followed by being ignored for two months then cancelled after I already did the first half of my part so that they could play videogames is incredibly rude, especially since this was scheduled a month in advance followed by two additional months. EDIT 1: As comments here suggested I let Jaykuma/DatPisces know that they can pay me for the part I've done and asked if they'd do so. They decided to not answer the question and called my persistence in being compensated "annoying" and fed me a BS sob story. http://i.imgur.com/bGg3w3t.png In the 1-2 months before our scheduled start of the trade right up to the day they said they'd start there was zero mention of time problems. The only time this was mentioned as a problem is the moment he owed me art and it's an outright lie as right as we started the trade he spent over 100 hours playing Overwatch during that month alone. I sent another message asking again if they'd compensate me and it is currently being ignored. I know he's seen the message too which is immensely frustrating. At this point I'm done dealing with them and all I can really do is hope others read this before being treated like I have.
7. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/903826.html WHO: PossiblySatan (DA), ActuallyCrowley (IG), HabaneroPup (AC website). WHERE: http://possiblysatan.deviantart.com/ , https://www.instagram.com/actuallycrowley/ , https://www.anthrocon.org/user/70644/habaneropup ; Transaction took place on Facebook. WHAT: Trade; pre-designed fursuit partial for some DVC supplies. WHEN: January 13th, 2016 to now. PROOF: Agreement cap, rest will be below: http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682725615300.png EXPLAIN: Transaction began January 13th, see cap above. The post where we made our initial agreement is unfortunately not available any longer, but I think the screenshot explains it. We then discuss them purchasing me extra items from DVC, in which I make a basket and ask if it's okay to which they agree. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682735037900.png At this point we exchange shipping addresses. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682737813000.png I send out my half and give them a tracking number, they don't look at my messages for a few days so I give them a poke. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682780400500.png They apologize for the lack of replies and tell me why they haven't shipped their half yet. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682780328800.png They end up shipping out their first half of the trade that same day, giving me proof of the transaction. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682720564800.png Their half arrives in the mail. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682742967600.png Like they had predicted, it got damaged and one of the horns fell off. I don't know much about apoxy so I end up selling it to someone else through FA (post was removed after sale went through, sorry). Couple days go by, I ask them about the supplies. They reply that they're in a tight spot financially. They didn't reply to my messages (or look at them, Messenger will let you know if someone does) so I make a pre-mature threat about writing them up on here. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682712344900.png They get upset and tell me that they're having a hard time with their job and such, then get mad at me for selling the skull head after offering to send me back the partial I traded to them. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682799866700.png http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682710160900.png http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682764952200.png At this point I'm tired and I just want my second trade half so I say this. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682719969000.png They send me some videos of the suit (unrelated) and we agree that they will end up buying me the rest of the supplies. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682778083300.png http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682712646600.png Over a month goes by with no word from them. I ask about the parts again, they're still not ordered. I suggest selling the suit to get more funds and they agree. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682745650400.png The suit is re-sold at this point (again, post was probably taken down since it was sold). A week or so later I poke them, they let me know that they've worked out a payment plan with the new owner. We're now into April. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682775133200.png April 23rd I ask again. Still not ordered, car problems. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682711462400.png Today (April 29th) they order a tongue and the jawset. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160501C/ezimba12682743587100.png They let me know they're ordering it all in parts and not in one order like we originally agreed to. Note that they said "everything will be ordered" in the April 24th message, then say that they corrected themself without telling me. http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682714629000.png They tell me how long they think it will take to order the parts, then let me know it's "whatever". http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682763995900.png http://www.ezimba.com/work/160430C/ezimba12682780857900.png At this point I just hope I'll get my stuff at some point. It's being dragged out for too long, multiple financial excuses, "whatever".
8. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/897763.html WHO: Huskynugget WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/huskynugget/ WHAT: Physical Art Badge WHEN: Commissioned/Paid December 22nd, 2015 / Paypal Claim filed March 6th, 2015 PROOF: Screenshot of commission entry saying it would be shipped Dec 26th-30th/Start of Commission & proof of payment This message is from January 26th, over a month after when they said they would ship. They did send me this image, proving that the commission was finished. Still not shipped by Feb 6th. I sent them on email on Feb 5th after they failed to reply on FA despite adding favorites on their account. Still nothing and hadn't heard from them by Feb 16th. Didn't hear from that that Thursday, but finally on Feb 23rd, they said they shipped it out. After not recieving anything... EXPLAIN: I commissioned this user for a physical badge on December 22nd, which they said in their original post would be shipped out between December 26th-30th. They finally sent me a completed picture of the badge On January 26th - nearly a month after the projected ship date. Though waiting so long was annoying, I wasn't too concerned yet, especially considering they sent me a picture. However, after that, it took them another whole month to get it supposedly shipped out. I would normally be understanding even considering this, but the artist never once contacted me first regarding this commission - it was always me sending them messages, asking for updates after not being contacted, and I even sent them an email once after not being replied to on FA. Their reasoning for being slow on shipping was because of snow and not being able to make it to the post office, and I get it - the weather gets fierce over on the east coast. However, after not receiving anything for nearly two weeks, they said they couldn't provide proof of shipping because they had just "dropped it in the mailbox." ...Despite their previous excuses. On March 4th, I very nicely explained why I was unhappy with this entire transaction, and asked for a partial refund. I felt this was fair, considering a) how long it took them to complete and ship out, b) poor communication on their part, and c) no good reasoning for why it took so long. They became defensive and said they were not trying to scam me (which I never claimed they were), and just gave me more excuses. They did offer to make me a full body badge free of charge, but I must admit that I'm no longer interested in working with them after this whole thing - for how long the first one took, I don't really trust them to complete and ship another one in a timely manner. I replied to them and told them all this, and they didn't respond. It hasn't been too long since sending my last message, but despite this, I decided to file a paypal claim after getting some advice on the matter from others in the community. They also said it was just a letter, so it's safe to assume that this was sent first class mail. While I acknowledge that mail could just be delayed, I've never had a first class letter take this long and actually make it to me. I also don't even have a high quality digital version, since they sent me a photo and not a scan (though I have no interest in owning digital art anyway, and the physicality of the art was important to me). Even if the badge does show up - which I think is unlikely considering my experience with buying/selling with the mail system - I still feel it's necessary to make this post based on their poor service. UPDATE 3/14/16: So literally a day after I submitted this post, the artist said the badge was returned to them in the mail. Thankfully they were quick to send it out again, this time with a tracking number, and showed me proof of shipping on top of that. I'm glad that it worked out in the end. ;-; Cause in the past, this type of situation has not for me, aha.
9. I checked back to see here and wow. THey're literally telling people to deal with their awful business practices or never see their money again and if you don't like it TOUGH LUCK PAL. Can this behavior be reported to Fur Affinity by chance? This is pretty awful behavior that I think should be reported. If you want to protect your business, treat your customers better. Simple as that.
10. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/886993.html I agreed to do a trade with FA user Lyshastra back in July. We met on Facebook, and she agreed to trade me for a plush that I had premade. We agreed on a trade for the plush of $10 + 4 bookmarks, and agreed to make the trade at Anthrocon as we were both attending (and I had a table, making it easy to swap). She never showed, and after the con asked me if I would ship the plush. I behaved unprofessionally in that I agreed to ship despite the discomfort I had with shipping her the plush despite not seeing any evidence that she had even worked on my half of the trade. Because of my anxiety issues, I did not express this to her and instead delayed shipping for months, hoping that she would eventually post evidence of the half of the trade I was supposed to receive. I definitely acknowledge that I didn't handle this the way I should have and I feel like I've learned more about speaking up about my discomfort in trade situations like this because of it. Regardless, no evidence showed up, she eventually became frustrated with me and my agreeing to ship but never doing so. She contacted me again in October about it. I felt really bad at this point, and finally shipped the plush to her. At this point, I still had not seen any evidence that she had even picked up a pencil to work on my trade. I asked her about their status, and she claimed to have mailed them to me already but that they were sent back to her... Some time passed after my shipping her half of the trade. She didn't respond to me for a long time (me asking her if she received the plush) until I threatened to post her on here... then she responded within seconds lol. Shortly after she posted pictures of two of the four completed bookmarks on her FA account. Weeks passed again. I told her I wanted evidence that she had shipped the bookmarks. Weeks passed again with nothing. I posted publicly on her Facebook page asking about the bookmarks and she said to message her about it privately to remind her. She never responded. This was on November 30th. I would offer screenshots of the Facebook posts made to her account but she has unfriended me. Her FA page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lyshastra/ Link to screenshots of our Facebook convo ( some things were cut out that were just conversational, but I can grab those if anyone needs anything else inbetween these for clarification, I just wanted to keep the post succinct): http://imgur.com/a/Gqf5u ^ I'm Sam Williamson. I've blurred out her name, though she has been posted to here using her IRL name as well. I don't expect anything at this point. She obviously doesn't plan to actually compensate me for the shipping I paid to send the plush to her that we had never agreed on me paying OR my bookmarks, but I really really highly discourage anyone from commissioning or trading her. It was a really bad experience.
11. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/844349.html WHO: Squeedge/SqueedgeMonster FURAFFINITY TWITTER MAIN TUMBLR & ART TUMBLR WHAT: A pre-order of her "Tyrant King" shirt. WHEN: The shirt was ordered in December of 2013 with an estimated delivery date of January 2014. PAYMENT: Here. EXPLAIN (&PROOF): Back in early December 2013, I saw that SqueedgeMonster opened up pre-orders for her Tyrant King t-shirts through Twitter. It was supposed to be a "last printing" of the design and I couldn't pass up the opportunity because I really liked the design and I didn't want to miss my chance. I understood that the shirts wouldn't arrive until after Christmas. They were scheduled to be shipped in early January. I still haven't received mine and communication, directly or indirectly, has been practically non-existent since payment was sent. During the pre-order, over 100 shirts were purchased. I lost the proof for this when this was sent back to me for revisions, and when searching for it again I discovered that all of her tweets prior to June 2014 seemed to have disappeared. In early January, she made a post on Twitter about the shirts being sent out to her from the printer and her receiving them. In late January, Squeedge made an update about the shipment of her shirts on Tumblr. Apparently a lot of them were stolen before being scanned at her local post office. My shirt was a large, so it was not in the first box of shipped shirts. I waited it out. After the post office fiasco, I didn't contact Squeedge for several months as she was going through personal issues at the time and didn't think it would be appropriate. After things seemed to simmer down, I tossed her a message on Tumblr sometime in April (which I don't have proof of thanks to Tumblr's lack of outbox function). A few days passed and this was posted. That was the last time I heard anything pertaining to the shirts. In June I was looking through my Twitter feed when a re-tweet from Squeedge appeared; it was someone wearing their Tyrant King shirt. It looked as though the shirts had finally been shipped out. I dug a little bit to see when they were sent so I could know when to expect mine, only to discover that she'd put what was supposed to be a "final run" design, which she'd emphasized plenty of times in her advertisements back in December (seen here), up in her DesignByHumans shop. This admittedly upset me. In early September, I made my Twitter public (usually private to keep spam accounts at bay) and tried to initiate contact. It was met with no response. I attempt contact again later in the month, to which she actually replies saying she'll e-mail me later that night. She never did. I finally decided to shoot her an e-mail myself (found on one of her Tumblrs). She responded a few weeks later with this. I never responded to it because, well, I really didn't know how. In the meantime she opened a Patreon which seems to be turning a decent profit, designed several new shirts and put them up for sale in her online shop (and continues to do so), gone to conventions and taken on numerous commissions -- but she hasn't been in contact since the e-mail above. I put this off for as long as I could in hopes that the situation would work itself out, but I've reached my breaking point. I just want this resolved so I can enjoy her work again.
12. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/830804.html WHO: Thug on FA / Monsterites on tumblr / Monsterite on dA WHERE: I commissioned them on their FA account [ Thug ] but they seem to have abandoned it. They have accounts on dA ( Monsterite ) and on tumblr ( monsterites ) and weasyl ( thug ) WHAT: Digital bust of my character, 20 usd in value, to be completed in 2-5 weeks or so. WHEN: I commissioned them on 10th of October, and paid on the same date. I've not received any contact from them since 19th of November 2014 despite my attempts at contacting them and posts on tumblr stating they would be getting in touch with customers. Proof and explanation under cut. PROOF: Commission journal on FA: http://s20.postimg.org/xle6h2w3h/ab_2.png My note to them/them accepting my commission: http://s20.postimg.org/mxafi8m4d/ab_3.png Proof of payment: http://s20.postimg.org/gobbjfke5/ab_1.png Unread note on FA: http://s20.postimg.org/yi6tkq3gd/ab_4.png EXPLAIN: I commissioned thug on 10th of October for a bust; initially everything went well. The original turnaround time stated on the journal [x] was about weeks, but "may be as long as a month." I paid and began waiting. After a month I had not heard anything from them, not even a "this will take longer than expected", so I shoot them a pm: http://s20.postimg.org/jq23tdxj1/ab_7.png The note got read but I received no reply, so I sent them another PM a week later: http://s20.postimg.org/atrbpg6wt/ab_6.png This time they replied and told me they had a chaotic time real life, and told me they had a sketch for me and could work a stream. I declined this offer, because I too have a spotty schedule and from my understanding we also live on different time zones. They did not offer to show me the sketch and I didn't have the sense to ask it as I was under impression they'd already started and could finish it on a timely schedule, so this is my bad and I have no proof they have even started my artwork. On December 3rd I sent them another note where I simply asked if they could e-mail me instead of using notes on FA. This note is still unread and they have no recent activity on FA, leading me to believe they have abandoned the account. They gave me no other means of communication. Towards the mid/end of December I decided I would try and find the artist on other sites just to see if they were alright. I went to their tumblr and decided to see if they have finished and posted my artwork on tumblr and just forgotten to tell me (it would not be the first time this has happened to me) and found out they had posted this [x] promising to contact/refund everyone if they had not finished art by the 1st of Jan. Satisfied with this I decided to just wait. I received no contact from then on 1st of Jan, but decided to wait some time before contacting them, just in case. February came and I became a bit anxious over the fact they had not contacted me despite these several [x] post [x] on tumblr. I sent them an ask on tumblr [I have no proof of this as tumblr message system is really bad 😞 ] A few days later they had had activity on the site and I had received no reply or contact from them. I sent them a new ask, and also decided to go and check my PayPal receipt, and found their e-mail addresses. I sent them this e-mail to both of their addresses. It's been a month since and I have yet to receive a reply. I've sent one more ask to their tumblr, which has not been answered. I have no idea how to contact them -- I don't want to pressure them too much, but not receiving any kind of communication from them when they have repeatedly promised to contact customers is making me think they have forgotten about me, and even if they have not received any of my messages they still have my FA they could use to contact me. From what I understand their rl if pretty hectic at times, but I don't feel like this excuses the complete lack of communication. At this point I'd rather have a refund than the art, but if they have started the art already and would just contact me I would gladly take the art too. I had not problems waiting, but I do have problems with the utter lack of personal communication, posting on tumblr (which I don't follow) instead of directly contacting me and promising to contact people and then not contacting me. I have not been able to contact this artist for several months despite them being active, and since accepting commission I've only received one message from them. EDIT: Shortly after this post went live, the artist has contacted me and issued me a refund! The matter is now resolved.

When: I sent Spazzy an email back in October 10th 2014 and I got a reply about it on the same day. After being told how long it would take, I've not heard a single word about that commission from Spazzy. Proof: All screenshots files has a timestamp of my taskbar. I did not blur out the artist's email name because it's the same as the Furaffinity one and I did not blur out my own Furaffinity name to prove that it's me posting those comments in two of the files but my Deviantart profile has my legal name in it so I blurred that out. I used paint to put together a few of the screenshots to lower the amount of files. The commission mail exchange, I did not hear from Spazzy again about this after telling me how long it would take. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/7dudefs87kjrtbr/spazzy koneko 1.png?dl=0 Paypal email proof that I did send the money. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/exymbqqxz89wfbu/spazzy koneko 2.png?dl=0 Roughly three months later she announced that she was open for commissions. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/3tj9id0hfwdiwvl/spazzy koneko 4.png?dl=0 Almost two weeks ago where I poked Spazzy about the commission that I had not yet recieved. I didn't get a reply. I paid her on October 10th 2014 and after that day I did not hear from her about it again. She has though kept announcing that she's open for commissions and several people have been posting their concerns about her not responding to their mails and not being on the commission queue list. EDIT: I once again today poked Spazzy about my missing commission, and finally I got a reply from her. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/zodks2o9h1gm4wi/spazzy koneko 5.png?dl=0 However in the mail that I sent, which was the same string of replies as the original commission mail exchange, she revealed that it wasn't done yet but that she would try to get it finished in the next couple days. I will poke her again about it on Thursday if I haven't gotten a reply yet to find out how it's going. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/ym1o1b1hs7smve5/spazzy koneko 6.png?dl=0 EDIT: The picture has been finished and sent to me. After 4 days I decided to give Spazzy a poke on email again since she said "next few days". She responded 10 hours later saying that she had had computer problems with the latest windows update and that she promised to deliver on it before she headed to bed. She also mentioned that she had been pointed to the two uploads about her on here and she was very apologetic about it. Around half past 5am pst she delivered and I'm very happy with it. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/otmw3ftl0hyvglu/spazzy koneko 7.png?dl=0 Remember, we are not Twitter, Facebook, Toyhouse, or DA. 14. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/939896.html Who: Vani / VanillaKitsune / @ashketchumsays / stripesandteeth Where: Twitter When: Commissioned them June 15th, 2016 I commissioned Vani on their Twitter back in June when they were taking a lot of sketch commissions there. I bought two sketches and received initial passes pretty quickly, but since then it’s been very difficult to get in contact with them much less get an update. Break down of events and screen caps below cut. All screen caps are in the Dropbox folder below, and are numbered to be chronological, except for the proof of payment which is the first document. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gnsxt1by8i2dmvk/AAAON_cgjDhnjltT0I8dFCHma?dl=0 June: -6/15/16: I DMed Vani on Twitter like their post said to do, and gave them references and paid promptly. I paid for two 11x14 sketch with shipping, but was later asked to pay for shipping again. -6/26/16: I received preliminary sketches that were very rough and I approved them. I was excited to see progress so soon and was told they’d be finished promptly. -6/29/16: A few days later I received a long DM from Vani saying that they would be attending AX and couldn’t finish the sketches before then. As an artist that sells at cons, I understood and told them not to worry. Afterwards I didn’t hear anything until August. August: -8/14/16: I DMed Vani to check in and ask how the sketches were going and again received a long DM, explaining that things were rough but on an upswing. I trusted they’d work on commissions when they were able and left them to it until November when I saw they were going to MFF. November: -11/28/16: I DMed Vani again after I saw they were going to MFF and tabling there as well. I asked if I could pick up my sketches at the con and they said they would have them ready for me. I ended up not being able to get away from my table the entire weekend and messaged them when I got home. December: -12/5/16: I DMed Vani again apologizing that I couldn’t get to their table to pick up my sketches. At this point, I have not seen the finished sketches and have no reason to believe that the sketches have actually been completed and would have even been available for pickup. Vani tells me they can mail my sketches, and asked me to send $6. I promptly paid, completely forgetting that I had already paid for shipping initially. -12/30/16: Vani posts a 10 page google document explaining their year and the struggles they’ve been through. I read the whole thing, and only gathered that they were stressed from taking too many commissions in between moving a lot and having financial struggles. They clearly state that they can’t deal with the stress of being contacted by customers, which admittedly upset me. January: -1/7/17: At this point unaware of their post, I DM Vani one last time asking if they had mailed the sketches. I didn’t receive a response, so I publicly tweeted at them. -1/11/17: I tweeted asking if they had shipped the sketches, received a reply from a random third party directing me to the 10 page manifesto. After reading the whole thing I e-mailed Vani like they requested and tried to pick up where we left off on Twitter. -1/25/17: No response to my e-mail, so I send another asking if they had received it. At this point I am not expecting a reply. Speaking as an artist, I have been through similar situations that Vani has gone through. I’ve been in very tight spots financially and been forced to move and scramble to find housing. I honestly don’t mind waiting for artwork so long as the artist is able to clearly communicate delays and issues just as I would with my customers. Vani very clearly can’t handle custom work but continues to take more and put themselves into this situation. They are now putting the blame of their anxieties and shortcomings on their customers who are simply asking when they can expect their artwork. I’m incredibly disappointed and honestly even if I were to receive a refund or the finished artwork I couldn’t in good conscience recommend anyone work with Vani.
15. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/939315.html Where https://inkbunny.net/Lando What 60$ commission. I commissioned once before, took a month more or less, so as it was the same style as the first one, I thought may the same or two would do. When 23th june 2016 Proofs Skype deleted the first month of june, but here is the log from july to now. https://d.pr/pvFM https://d.pr/hLs1 https://d.pr/1FY5 https://d.pr/XoMN https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ang7hikop5m0p6/img1.png?dl=0 That's the last thing I know from him. Payment: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8i72d6rev8nm88x/img2.png?dl=0 Further details: So, last year, I commissioned Lando, from InkBunny, a pic from our munks, like a grey and white sketchy style that he does very well. It just took like a month or so to get finished. So, more or less after half year I tried to commission him again. I asked if he was taking commissions that time, and said me yes. So I payed him the amount he asked, more or less the same as the first comm (60$). Said it would take the same time, may a bit more, because he never drew rocket raccoon, I thought it was ok, we all want very good draws. But since then, I only started to have comments like "soon", "the next draw is your comming", and so, as you can see in the pics. I also know that I can be a bit impatient, basically because he WAS my fav artist, but looks he didn't get bothered at all, all the contrary. Once he said me real life things were happening, and I understood that, but since then he told that now could focus on the commission, but only the last pic of the conversation is the last I know from him. He just passed me some sketches from rocket he was practicing and the very initial idea of the commission. Nothing else. So, as you can suppose, I'm disappointed with who was my favorite artist, who I got friendly chats on skype, and now, I just get ignored and scammed. I don't know what else I can do. I tried to make in paypal a petition of "asking money" from him, like a refund, last week just to make contact with him, but as always, no response from him. Also mention that in his account of IB has activity.
16. This is a beware that involves somebody that was once a friend of mine. For that reason, this is quite a tough one for me to write. I have tried to limit the amount of personal information to what is required for anyone to be able to follow this beware. It all started over a year ago. The artist posted in a discord server that she had an unexpected bill for her new house. As a friend, I wanted to help her out, so I originally offered to let her borrow some of my money for free. She raised the idea of a commision instead. The screencap below is my response in PM to the post she made on the discord server. After this reply we had some chit-chat about trading cards that I have not included here. Afterwards, I asked what she could do for 250 pounds. Besides a plushie that was currently not a good option, she could do at least two “standard colour pictures”. What I knew of this type of artwork is that they were of just the character's face. She asked for screenshots of one of the characters, Truun, which I provided a while later. After that I asked her where I should send the money to. It was recommended to use paypal with friends and family. She also mentioned that normally she only asks people to send the money after the work is completed. However, given she had this emergency bill, I decided to pay right away. After mentioning the paypal that sent the money, she confirmed the payment. At the end of all this, the strongest I would say that we agreed to here is 250 pounds for 2 and a half standard color images. These are the type where I knew they were just the face. A few months went by without any progress. Besides the regular chatter, occasionally we would be in a group voice chat in a WoW guild discord with multiple people casually talking about all sorts of things. During those she would often on the side mention how she was sorry that she still had not started yet with the art and would start soon (which she then never would). After one group voice chat I started having my doubts about the “2 and a half image” agreement when she would mention that she would start on my 'one' character soon. So I asked for clarity on that after the voice chat. She ‘confirmed’ that it was indeed just one character. I agreed to that, under the assumption that it would then not be a standard color image given those were 100 pounds each. If we look here at a learning moment, I should have pushed at that moment for more clarity. Though I found it difficult to do with her being a friend. However, I do also believe that the artist has to do their part in asking questions and being clear when there appears to be doubts. Many months went by. During that time we still had our usual conversations and she would continue to occasionally mention how she felt bad that she had still not started yet. At one point I sent her a message to ask her to double check with me before she gets started. This commission was for a roleplaying character and a lot of character development had taken place between the first transaction and then. This would affect the work. I did not get a response to this one. Around two weeks after this message our friendship reached a breaking point. This was not due to the art commision itself, but a long buildup caused by painful interactions over time. I decided the best thing to do was to take distance from her and also leave the WoW guild discord she was part of. A lot can be written about how this friendship broke down, but I prefer to keep this private. Around three weeks later I decided to ask for a full refund for the commision. It had been over a year where no progress was shown. I decided to present the situation to two artists first before requesting the refund and they both mentioned that this would be fair. I hoped that after a whole year of having the money for free and having no progress, and me having done this to help her as a friend, she would understand and would have agreed to the full refund so that we could both leave this commision and everything attached to it behind us peacefully. At this point, I was not convinced this commission would ever still be finished and even if it would, I felt the work would only remind of the painful experiences that I tried to leave behind. I would not be able to seperate the art from how it came to be. She was not willing to offer the full refund even though it had been over a year. The reasoning being that she had started working on the commission since the moment I took distance. However, between me notifying her that I was taking distance and requesting the refund, there had been no contact from her what so ever. Also from what you can see from a previous image, I asked her to double check with me before she would start. I was not willing to accept this. I was also very skeptical whether she had actually already started at this point when she mentioned she could only show me progress the day after. After some pushing, and with a bit of time passing, she actually managed to show me the sketch that represented the progress she had made so far. I was skeptical about whether this sketch had not been done during the time I asked for the refund and when she posted it. She tried to convince me that was not the case and then went on to ask about details for the sketch itself. She also mentioned that I have had information along the way, but this has been mostly limited to the voice chats I mentioned earlier where she would apologize for it still not being done. There was never any progress shared or any questions asked regarding how the art should be. So she showed me a sketch of just the face of the character. As this seemed to be heading towards being one of those standard images that I originally would get 2 and a half of, I asked if it would indeed be just the face. I got the answer back that this was indeed the case. At this point out of good will she was willing to do a sketch of another one of my characters. As you can see above, she mentions that I agreed on this single image in voice chat. Though I asked her after the voice chat for clarity about how many characters were going to be done, and I did agree to just one (see an earlier image) , I never agreed to it being just the face. I offered besides the full refund that she could refund me 150 pounds and just finish the one image as a way to accomodate. She refused both offers and pointed at what her regular commisions are, which are indeed only faces, but these are the "standard color images" that I would originally get 2 and a half for. In the same response she grudgingly offered to do a full body instead for the full amount. At this point, I took some time to think about what to do next. At this point, I would not be able to separate the art from how it was produced and looking at it would mostly just give me painful memories to this exchange and all the things that ultimately made it better for me to take distance from her. A few days later I made the final offer. I would give her 50 pounds for the work she had already done (the sketch), without asking anything in return for it. She would be allowed to pay back the 200 pounds in installments of 50 pounds per month. She also refused this offer and this is where I have left it at. While this beware was pending, she came back to me to offer me 125 pounds without offering any art with the argument that it is 'common to do 50/50 with these large commissions'. However, this would still not be fair. We never agreed to this split up front and all the way at the start, she even mentioned that she commonly let people pay afterwards (see an earlier screen cap). So this is a pretty weak argument. A standard color image is 100 pounds, all the progress she has is the sketch of the same size. This would mean she is letting me pay 25 pounds more for less (or actually none as I won’t get any work for it). Ideally, I would have preferred not to have had to make this beware. I had hoped that after all this time she would have agreed to the full refund and we could have both left this peacefully behind us. Even after she refused that offer, I tried to accomdate in multiple ways. I feel my offers have been more than fair. At this point, I will only still accept the 200 pounds refund. This was the first art commission I ever tried and it has been the only one so far. It feels as if my friendship has been taken advantage of. Though this has been a rather painful experience that makes me somewhat hesistant to commission art in the future, I have learned two important things. One is that I should have pushed for a very strict written agreement even though we were friends. Another is to never do these types of transactions using “friends and family” for paypal. I hope with now having written this all down I can start leaving this behind me and have been able to warn others and perhaps tell a cautionary tale.

In it I describe that if they didnt want to do the old sketch (I still thought it was one character missing at the time, so my bad!) that they could just sketch a single different character and all would be good. I did say feel free to ignore the request though, not the note! PROOF: Screencap 9 No contact from them after that until I called them out about it taking so long on their front page, to which they sent me a rather rude and unprofessional note accusing me of not reading their journal. (I always make sure to read journals about delayed commissions if I am one of the commissioners. And then accusing me of not sending her a note months before and ignoring it. PROOF: Screencap 10. They then noted me again saying that they did find the note they had ignored months before, which was before their journal they linked me. Here I also call them out for doing tons of personal art and things on Tumblr which they refute saying it's only a few a month, which by looking at their Tumblr is a lie. PROOF: Screencap 11 And that is the last I have heard from them. It is now MARCH 2018 and my sketch commission was ordered back in September of 2015. Since then they have taken on even more art via Tumblr, but their fA hasn't been updated in months. My sketch commission isn't even listed on their trello anymore. I am just frustrated at their lack of communication, being ignored, being lied to, and their lack of professionalism when they did not even complete the commission from 2015. I paid $50 for the badge, and shipping. The badge was completed in early July. Everything seemed to be running smoothly. However, I never received the badge. Two years later now, I had sold the character, and suit. This may (2016) I contacted Gorehund via twitter, mentioning that I never received the badge, and that it would be nice to get a refund, or have the badge sent to the new owner. They replied, asking for a new address to contact the new owner, and the was the end of it. More than two months later, I contact the new owner of PB, and they have not even heard from Gorehund. I immediately contacted gorehund, and they asked where to reach them (though i had already told them in may). This has been one of the worst experiences with an artist I have ever received. All replies to me were cold, and extremely unapologetic. Long story short I have not received what I paid $55usd for in over two years. After a few months I contacted them back. Over time, responses became less and less, until I eventually was given no response at all and my requests for contact ignored. In an effort to get some contact, I attempted to contact them on their FA. I was initially greeted with a response! Great! I thought maybe we could just close out the whole situation and move on. I was promised a refund that coming saturday after a stream: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0mv35h8ss30q9by/proof2.png?dl=0 Saturday came and went, no contact. I let some time pass, maybe something had come up. I contacted them again, on FA. The note is still unread. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xg096dl2ay9i8sg/proof6.png?dl=0 When the note failed, I left a shout. I didnt think to cap it, and it is now removed. At some point after the shout was left, I got a note from someone (cannot find said note, if I do I will add a cap of it here) saying not to expect my money back, and the seller has done this before with many people waiting for refunds. Some more time passes, and their account was apparently hacked for awhile, a friend had taken over their account for the mean time to remove the hacked images. I contacted the friend in an effort to establish a new form of communication, as FB had been ignored for a long time, and FA had been the only form of contact I had had in months. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ayp5iq2yc9pr6w/proof5.png?dl=0 I thought to myself, awesome, at least they know and will get in touch with me after the move and life stuff. Things happen, I understand completely. Time passes. I moved back to facebook, per the first screen shot to try and get in contact again. Ignored once more. Today (7/7/2016) I see a journal from their FA. Great, they are back, maybe we can get this resolved. Journal says to contact them if you are owed anything. https://www.dropbox.com/s/aupjukn3xjjyijk/proof3.png?dl=0 I attempted to contact her via note, only to find out that I was blocked. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qvb310exlk43thf/proof4.png?dl=0 That leaves us where we are now. I am blocked, unable to get resolution at this time. I have to say I am very disappointed, I was and have been willing to work with this person. Reading back over some of the facebook messages, I probably should have worded some of them differently. The comments about noticing an icon change so I know they are active seem a little stalkerish in my mind now, but at the time I thought it was a good way to let them know I did notice they were recently active and I would like a contact back. EDIT: After I submitted this beware I attempted to contact them on facebook once again: http://puu.sh/pVrjW/d5e658d2bf.png http://puu.sh/pVrla/3a31b7de86.png Today has come and gone, no refund once again.
21. So initially I commissioned them in April for a head base to be finished. It needed a nose, eyes, ears, and fur. We moved to telegram from here on and that’s when problems began to arise. They didn’t contact me at all until June when I asked about ventilation Bc of my health issues. I had to initiate the conversation. She promised me Tomu would be done in time for megaplex since she had since April. And it was a Premade base. Little did I know I was a ‘weekend’ project. Which I wasn’t told until I looked at their Trello. I began to text more frequently since, as you can see, I got little to no communication until July. And they hadn’t done a thing. This was when I realized Tomu would not be done. And I would have to wait. So eventually I decided to ask about a refund. Little did I know their financial issues were of their own doing. They used my commission money for non-commission related things. So In the span of 4 months all she had for me was a nose. They told me they didn’t even have the fur for my fursuit. Which I don’t understand as I paid them in April and this is in August. So where did my money go? I got rather upset when I saw her posting about me. So I finally set my foot down. After six months of torturous waiting and run around. I They began to ‘warn’ people about me. And that’s when I blocked and moved on when I got my money back. I got $700 out of the $800 I paid. Anyway we came to somewhat of an agreement. Until I finally began reading people who are to this day still awaiting refunds. Years of waiting. So I did a chargeback.
22. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/878066.html WHO: Scotty Stripes WHERE: This occured over email, address can be provided if necessary (rules say not to?) However FA accounts are: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/scottystripes (old account: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/staar ) WHAT: Fursuit Concept art through www.NeonSlushie.com WHEN: Commission order was placed October 11th, paid for the 13th, and completed the 25th. Initial contact was all fairly pleasant, but as soon as the commission was completed, things went sour fast. Customer filed for a chargeback even after I made the requested changes to the artwork. PROOF: I have included every email that has been exchanged between us. First Contact/Commission Form: http://i.imgur.com/e9uCjeC.png A few back & forth emails, all pleasant: http://i.imgur.com/qjnEzyh.png Commission Completed: http://i.imgur.com/taCvBtB.png Finished Image: http://i.imgur.com/CN0L6jF.png *Things go Sour... http://i.imgur.com/TeKRT5V.png I fix the mistake: http://i.imgur.com/5kFk0L2.png Customer Files Chargeback: http://i.imgur.com/NiWssCa.png EXPLAIN: Everything is pretty self-explanatory through the screenshots, but for those of you who do not feel like reading it all: Customer, Scotty Stripes, commissions me for a basic reference of their Zebra character. I charge them $80 ($50 base price, +$25 design fee, +$5 extra complexity fee) - they pay several days later, and the commission is completed on schedule. Scotty is very unhappy with the outcome (mainly the stripes) and lets me know that. I say it's not a problem and I'm happy to work with them until they are satisfied with the art. Scotty becomes very hostile and voices that they feel they were scammed. I again tell them I can make the changes so they are happy with it. I go ahead and fix all the stripes to their specifications, only to find that they filed for a chargeback. I have tried multiple times to contact them and request they cancel the chargeback but they have not answered me. I feel very wronged here. I am going to be out $80 and many many many hours of work. I realize that I am not perfect in this situation, they did request more realistic striping than what I initially gave them. However, my job is to make designs that can transfer easily into fursuits and realistic zebra stripes are not something that works well for this. I was more than happy to fix my mistakes, but I feel the treatment I was given in this situation is extremely unfair. What can I do now? What can I say to paypal to get protection, before that chargeback clears? Last time I had a customer file a chargeback, I lost because my products are digital only and not physical items. Is there anything I can do? I really need advice. And I really did feel I needed to warn others of Scotty Stripes and their behavior, so other artists and fursuit makers can avoid having this happen to them. UPDATE: The chargeback did not go through! "The case [customer name] opened regarding a payment to you has automatically closed because it was not escalated before November 16, 2015. Any funds associated with this payment that may have been on hold is now available." So the money has been returned to me. Scotty Stripes has still never contacted me, apologized, or canceled the chargeback, so this beware is still plenty relevant. However I am super happy that my money was not taken from me!
23. On the 3rd of July, MarbleShark_AD reached out to me, complimenting my OCs and offering me to commission them to help with their homeless situation. I was initially interested but I didn’t buy a commission until August 14th, where we did business then. We settled for $50 USD for (1) one shaded commission, which then we discussed about payment. They only accepted CashApp, which I had to make an account to even send the payment. I had an issue at first until I managed to get the QR code to work, and the payment was successful. Soon after, they offered another commission for $20 USD, and I accepted. After telling me happy birthday the day after, August 15th, I barely heard from them, until almost a whole month later, September 10th. In the early hours of the night, they messaged me stating they needed money to get an Uber after getting out of jail and into an unsafe area 12 miles away from their home, promising me they’d pay me back. They specifically asked for $35 USD, again through CashApp, and ultimately I obliged, feeling concerned for their current safety. I messaged them a few days after to get an update, but I didn’t get much of an answer, and they left me in the dark without a response until October 13th, where, again, they asked for more money. They wanted another $25 to get an Uber from the countryside to the hospital, again saying they would pay me back, but due to the tight budget I had this month, I couldn’t help them again. In addition, I also commented about the previous time they asked for money and how they’ve yet to pay me back like they said. Plus mentioning that I’ve yet to get any updates or word about the status of the commissions I paid for, stating that seeing an update would be greatly appreciated. In response, they simply said, “sorry for asking for help damn.” I waited a few more days and asked about the commissions, and soon sent a huge statement representing how I felt about the lack in communication and the negligence of any update to the commissions I paid for. I told them to not ignore my message, only to see that it was never seen, and yet when looking at their profile, they’re making general posts and offering much smaller priced headshot commissions. - provided is the screen cap for paying MarbleShark_AD, or on their CashApp, Tenae, a total of $105 USD; $70 USD total for the two commissions, plus the additional $35 for their Uber ride back home. - Additionally, I provide the chat log from Twitter/X involving me, and MarbleShark_AD.

Knowing this artists talent I decided to take the offer and also commented a friend about it. To which he decided to comish her as well. Alls well and the artist notified me that she will do them as soon as she can. I don’t usually bother artist but I decided to take another slot (since I’ve previously comished her and I trusted this artist) and she said she’d get it underway, unfortunately she said she had complications based on her equipment and family situation, something that I can understand. However things started to take a dive after she stated that she would get them done in a weekend, ASAP as she stated. However I saw no progress, any attempts made to communicate and figure out anything were met with nothing, she picked up on ‘em and read the notes I sent over Deviantart. However I found it odd that she was doing artwork months after she stated shed do my own. So she had moved to Weasyl, again I noted her there asking what’s going on. No reply, however it would seem another person had fallen for her, the same deal, she did a trade however. This will play a part later on as we talked. But in the meantime she didn’t reply. Only read. Then some months later she stated she would return after health complications to deviantart. Again I understood this but was a bit unsure since she was uploading artwork in other sites. Moving on, I kept on asking (usually waited a month or so, since I don’t like bothering an artist) but saw they were only read. Never replied. She had made a new character named Buckthorn, I didn’t pay much attention to this until years later I stumbled upon her on FA, same character, same style. Never let me know she changed accounts or anything of the sort. So I sent her a note, again no reply but she did read it. A month after I sent her another note and commented on her shoutpage. No response, I sent the person whom had the same situation and she told me she did respond to her and that it was the same artist and they were checking up on how to fix the dilemma, upon getting this information I decided to try it again. To my surprise she had put me on her blocklist. I guess she got tired of me messaging her asking for my end of the deal. It’s a shame really since I trusted her and I would have continuously done so over these past 2 years. Im currently trying to contact this artist, she posted a journal stating if any art is owed to note her. Can’t do that while blocked so I used another account. I also tried adding her skype, I do get “bucky” referencing her new character instead of the old one tho the account is from the old character. managed to talk to her manager since she doesn’t want to deal with this herself and am currently awaiting a refund because ive been told they aren’t doing well financially and will be taken care of soon. Deadline is suppose dot be on September, I appreciate I got someone to talk to about this but all in all im still somewhat concerned wether this will go through or not. Edit 10/17/2015: Nothing came through, still avoiding me, at this point i cant do anything. Seriously dissapointing.
25. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/846117.html This is my very first artist's beware post. I was really hoping it would not come to this, but I want to resolve this issue as soon as possible and warn others before they make the same mistake I did. WHO: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/deerpuke/ (This artist has ad placements on FurAffinity.net) WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6486298/ WHAT: A digital piece of artwork, described as a "song commission" http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6486298/ for $25 USD. (Detailed info below) WHEN: The commission was ordered and paid for on February 8th of 2015. There was no further communication until March 5th of 2015, when I noted them inquiring about my commission status. There was no reply. On March 10th of 2015 I had requested a refund. Two days later, on March 12th of 2015, they replied telling me that they could not refund me because they had done too much work on the commission. Three days later I had replied asking when they think they will be done with the piece, the next day they estimated about a week due to their tablet screen not working. I replied the same day asking to see the work they had done so far. They replied the next day with this http://gyazo.com/f6540a2235c5cc75698b606e5d49c2c8. They noted me again three hours later with an updated version here http://gyazo.com/bc50bd9f483dcfef5fda50788bd18a9a. I was extremely happy with how it was turning out, and thought that they had done so much work in 3 hours, the wait should not be that long to receive my finished piece. I was wrong. It has been a month since I have sent my reply note and I have heard nothing. Since the day I commissioned this artist, they have uploaded 35 submissions on FA. 4 commissions (1 of which was commissioned after me, that I know of, and another was the WIP of my commission), 3 auctions, 5 personals, 6 YCH's, and 17 adoptables. They have clearly been able to draw and upload art during this time. It is irritating to me to see someone I commissioned post this much artwork, yet not communicate with me what is going on until I ask for a refund, and fail to finish my commission that I requested a little over 2 months ago. PROOF: Proof of commission being ordered on February 8th, 2015: http://orig12.deviantart.net/a576/f/2015/103/d/3/1_by_riaburr-d8pn8x5.png Proof of money sent on February 8th, 2015: http://orig12.deviantart.net/7a08/f/2015/103/d/1/3_by_riaburr-d8pn8x0.png Proof of notes sent between us and dates: http://orig07.deviantart.net/6d20/f/2015/102/3/3/2_by_riaburr-d8pgokr.png EXPLAIN: I am very irritated at this point. I have made it clear that I do not appreciate the lack of communication. I have asked for a refund, which they refused to give me. I tried to refund through paypal itself, but I had sent the money as a gift because I did not want DeerPuke to have any of the money taken through paypal tax, big mistake that was. I request that I am either refunded the full amount of $25 USD back to my payapl account, or I am given the full piece of artwork, by the end of this month. The item has been delivered, and the beware is being reposted as resolved.
