https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/869831.html WHO: SnowDarkWolf at Furaffinity. Not sure if he has other accounts on other sites. WHERE: His userpage on Furaffinity: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/snowdarkwolf the pic he commissioned me: (WARNING: NSFW?) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17019931/ WHAT: a digital art commission that has been completed, but then be charged back by this commissioner. (see proof 2) WHEN: commission succefully ended on July 5th, 2015, chargeback case happened on August 27th, 2015 PROOF: (1) proof of completion of commission: http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y368/darkgoose666/85c6d9d1-917d-4608-9b5c-2f3d2858dcf2_zpsgzetwl3w.png (2) proof of chargeback case happened: http://s1030.photobucket.com/user/darkgoose666/media/asdee0150901190907_zpskja37jau.png.html EXPLAIN: about 3 months ago, I was commissioned by SnowDarkWolf and drew a pic for him: (WARNING: NSFW?) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17019931/ The commission was successfully completed and I'd already sent him the full size image. However, at last month, a charge-back from PayPal is issued, saying that the customer wants his money back. I tried to contact SnowDarkWolf by all the methods I could, but there's totally no response. He's email is dead-like and his account on FA is banned. It's quite obvious that he's trying to con me on that commission, he probably thinks that he doesn't need to pay on commissions on a banned account. It really upsets me. I work hard and waste a lot of time for someone, but end up not earning anything, yet losting even more money than doing nothing, just because someone is being selfish. 😧

Greetings! I'm here to inform you about this client and the ordeal that I had to endure since the last week. Honestly, it all started pretty good actually. The 4th of April I got contacted by this person saying that he had the idea of commissioning me a couple of OC's of its own (since he kept saying that he was a writer and that he wrote stories, fan fictions and so on) and I was like "Sure, tell me the details!". And everything went pretty smooth, he always payed me what I asked for and never complained. However, the big problems started to happened the 8th of July, Friday of last week. After waking up, I find three emails from PayPal, in which all of them says that the buyer has opened a claim against me because of unauthorized transactions made. Honestly speaking, I was baffled. Like, why in the first place? Also who was the one responsible for all of this? After tracking down who could've possibly be, I ended up finding the curlprit. Then I decided to confront him, ask him why he did such a thing, but to no avail. What he kept saying over and over like a broken record, was like "I didn't do it. My bank did it" or instead "PayPal did it, it wasn't my fault". Now, I might not be an expert on how PayPal works and neither how the Banks do, but I'm pretty sure that neither of the two without an explicit request from the one who sent the money, does everything automatically. PayPal definitely doesn't do it, and the Bank the least they can do is calling you if they see high transactions, but in here we were talking about 50/100€ at best. Every month. Then, afterwards, he contacted me saying the following After this, he blocked me. If the truth is on his side, then he wouldn't have blocked me, right? So honestly, I really don't get it. Afterwards I tried to reach him even on DeviantArt, since there I was still not blocked from him because I actually talked with the PayPal customer service myself. In the end they told me what I already knew: and that it was him who did everything on his end. And so far, he kept lying to my face. The sad part is that I'm not the only one who got this "little problem" with him. Many other artists had the same ordeal with him. I'll share afterwards the claims that he did (choosing even the wrong dates because he surely did everything so fast, in a blink of an eye, that he didn't even sat through everything and thought if the amount and date were exactly those - apologies in advance if you see another language) (For context, "Denaro ricevuto" translated is "Money Received") And the fact that the dates doesn't even match to begin with (aside from the first one, which the only wrong thing is the amount that he declared. He gave me 50€, but instead he wanted 56€ back, for some reason) (again, all three of them shows the "Money Received" word, translated from Italian) I'll also share some snippets of our conversation where, after I completed the render, I uploaded it and sent it to him. And he of course, received it. See it for yourself, all three of the claims. First one Second: (this one here was mostly a variation of the third one that I'll share in a bit) Third one: Proof of being blocked To this day, so far the problem hasn't been solved (and also currently, the claims got processed and now I'm wait for PayPal to actually talk with the bank of the client. Sadly, it will take approximatively 75 days to get an answer) and when it will, I'm afraid that this person will try again in getting his money back. I made assumptions as to why he did this, but really, I can't even believe it. Like I said, also another artist right now is undergoing the same treatment as I'm experiencing. Thank you for your attention.

BEWARE OF T_CYBERWOLF / CYBERWOLF0220 I was scammed a total of 221,09EUR - please, be careful and avoid this user at all cost On October 30th 2021, FA user T_Cyberwolf sent me a note, wanting to purchase 2 adoptables from me. Within the purchase, this individual asked me for serval modifications and additions (such as NSFW version, hyper version, etc.), raising the price to 144EUR for both characters. We agreed on the payment, payment was sent from his part, and a few weeks later, I delivered all the requested modifications, etc. T_Cyberwolf was pleased, and he very much told me so. On November 3rd, he did one more and the last purchase from me, which was another adoptable. He asked, once again, for a couple of additions and modifications, for a total price of 74EUR. Once again, we agreed on payment, he sent the payment, and on November 16th, I gave him the files like we agreed to. This person was pleased, and liked everything they got from me. SCREENSHOTS Here you can see we agreed on payment, that everything was delivered correctly, and the customer was indeed, pleased and happy with what they got. Fast forward to December 7th 2021. I got a Paypal email that indicated I got a chargeback from T_Cyberwolf, the reason being "unauthorized payment". I noticed he didn't contact me nor inform me in any way of this issue, so I immediately contacted him, asking for an explanation. Because of this, my Paypal balance was negative, and I was in debt with Paypal. He explained that he noticed he got his information stolen back on Thursday, that many purchases were made and that he started to chargeback because he wasn't able to determine which ones he made, and which ones he didn't, and he was pretty panicked. This, on itself, doesn't make sense. The purchases he asked a refund for over a month old (last purchase being November 3rd, first one being on October 30th), so if he's opening a case in Paypal, that means that those "suspicious purchases" he's been getting must have been happening for over a month - it is legit impossible that someone has been getting money stolen for over a month, without previous notice. Not to mention, my name was in there, it was obviously a purchase made from him, and he knew that. Furthermore, if T_Cyberwolf noticed this on Thursday, why did I get a chargeback 5 days later. Surely, if he claims he did it in a panicked state, I'd have recived the chargeback the very same day he noticed. (Apologies, this following screenshot is in Spanish due to Paypal sending information to my email in my native language; it's basically information about T_Cyberwolf opening a case for "unauthorized transactions", and about how much he's asking for the refund, how many days I have to respond, etc.) I explained that this was very suspicious and made little to no sense. I asked him a bunch of question, and T_Cyberwolf just answered one of them. I asked why he didn't close the Paypal refund case, and he asked me to explain it to him, which I refused because that was his responsability, and not mine, and after I texted him asking about more of my suspicions, he stopped replying and ghosted me. Atfer that, I decided to refund him, because I contacted Paypal trough a call, and the company explained that, since they opened the case under the subject "unauthorized transaction", and I can't physically prove they weren't hacked, I was going to lose the case anyway. So I issued a full refund. I lost 77,09EUR on December 7th (3EUR more than what he payed me for), as Paypal charged me 3,09EUR of fees for the refund, not sure why. The next day, December 8th, T_Cyberwolf decided to contact me, and now he changed his story. Now he claimed that the chargebacks weren't made from him, but it was his bank's doing - because he alerted the bank that his information got stolen, the bank was doing the chargebacks. Obviously, this makes a bigger hole in his first excuse; he mentioned he accidentally opened a Paypal case because he was "panicking" and didn't know which purchases he made and which ones he didn't, but now he claimed that it was his bank's doing, not his. This is when I knew 100% it was a lie, and he scammed me, successfully. He then proceeded to "warn" me that I was going to get more chargebacks for the remaining 2 adoptables he payed me back in October 30th, and that I should "rehome" them. I knew this wasn't a warning, but more of a threat, because this wasn't his bank's doing, but his. So, to avoid more issues with Paypal (as having opened cases can result in your account getting suspended), I proceeded to refund him fully the 144EUR he payed for in October for the remaining 2 adoptables, because I knew I was going to lose the case no matter what since he'd be using the "unauthorized transaction" excuse. This put me in debt, once again. He said "And before I forget", like this was a casual conversation - cleary showing his disinterest and lack of care or responsibility. After all of this, I asked him not to contact me or any of my friends ever again - but sadly, I couldn't get my money back through Paypal, and I'm left in debt. He scammed me and got all of the money back, and sadly, even though I revoked the owning rights of the adoptables from him, he still has the files and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm posting this because I don't want any more people being scammed by this user. Don't contact him or harass him, just block him and move on. If he tries to contact you, just ignore him. People like them can be dangerous to artists who are struggling, so please, be aware and be careful - thanks for reading.

Original commission was supposed to be a $150 character creation and ref sheet. Because I’m nice (read; a sucker) I agreed to drop the price to $100 for them. They agreed to this and paid. They told me to take my time and not rush I followed up with a fullbody sketch 8 days later, and received no response. I then received a PayPal chargeback for the full amount on May 15th. this is their Duff the Bunny ref sheet to connect their account since they changed their Twitter handle and locked their account entirely after they pushed the chargeback. super annoying cause if they had just asked I would have refunded them like $85 of the $100 (because I had provided a sketch already) but they went ahead and did a chargeback and because I tried to dispute it (again, like an idiot) I was then out $115 instead of the $100. Because apparently PayPal doesn’t care to vet any of their chargebacks at all. I provided full proof to them too. anyway, just don’t do business with that guy or his rabbit character. Full reference to avoid him in the future.

Beware of this person, they silently return money, so if u not checking your emails so often - YOU CAN LOSE YOUR MONEY after one week he\she requested money back. (March 28) I don't know how to find any other their accounts, but I have their email. (IDK if it is fine to put here emails, so I will not??) He\she bought the adopt from me [proof 2] and then silently request money back, but my rules saying "no refunds" [proof 1]. Then, it was my bad, because I am not usually checking my email, so I lost too much time to argument the request. [proof 3] wolear - old account which one was deleted after purchasing the adoptable yaawween - their fake (I guess) account Proofs: [proof 1] [proof 2] [proof 3]

This is an artist beware about Bunnyoffuzz on July who commissioned me to do a comic featuring his bunny character. the commission was given to him on October 11th. He then commissioned me again this time for a hugging picture on the 31st of October featuring his bunny character James Bunny paws and his other character with the Ko-fi donations he sent. after that I received two ko-fi donations or "I like your art here is your tip" I sent him his art he was satisfied with it. On the day of charge back incident I noticed my paypal was in the negative and I checked my email to see that he had opened 3 disputes against the second payment for the comic, the hugging picture, as well as just a normal Ko-fi donation. This is not his first rodeo into chargebacks and most certainly won't be his last I urge you greatly to keep caution when he attempts to commission you. He has had history of doing this in the past. I will be posting the screenshots I have of Me and him Art that he has posted received from me as well as the emails I have received from paypal etc. The end will be the chargebacks that happened in 2019 regarding him. In 2019 ontop of chargebacks paypal also had a $20 fee associated with every single chargeback so you can imagine how that add's up in the end.

Dec. 19th, 2012 at 7:47 PM ritz_bitz25 WHO: I am an artist that goes by Ritz_Bitz on FA. I was commissioned by Touya_Vulpes on FA. WHERE: During my livestream art session. WHAT: I was livestreaming $10 shaded headshots done traditionally. People could have them laminated and mailed for $1 more. He was the first to order and got his art that night. 2 days later, on December 5th, I recieved an email that the funds were on hold and I needed to take action in the resolution center. I responded saying "He got his art that night, its intangible goods but he has the file already so I cannot offer a refund". Today, the 19th, I got an email saying the payment was reversed and given back to him. Turns out I'm not covered as a seller of goods unless the item is shipped, so he was able to make a claim he never recieved it and I lost my case because I couldn't ship this intangible good. WHEN: Livestream took place on December 3rd and he recieved his art the same night. PROOF: EXPLAIN: When the hold was placed, I was confused but figured something wasnt verified with his account or such. I didn't contact him at this point, I answered the case in the resolution center and waited. Today I got an email that the payment was reversed, and I saw that the $10 had been sent back to him from my account. Upset and irritated, I noted him about it and he said "Oh I've been having issues with paypal for the past couple weeks. I don't know what it is." I told him he needed to resend the money or I was gonna delete the art and go through paypal for a resolution. He acted slightly irritated, saying "*sigh* fine just delete the art". I already completed the work, so obviously I wanted to be paid for it. I called paypal and spoke with their customer service. It turns out he filed the claim that he never got what he paid for, and I had no defense with it being 'intangible goods' that I did not ship. This is why I lost the case. I DID get my money back, however I am extremely displeased with the way the commissioner acted, trying to get his money AND have the art. He has been blacklisted now and I have changed my commission policy to having all the work I do shipped out so I can protect myself. EDIT: this commissioner is now suspended from FA for doing this to a countless number of artists within the same 2 week span. he is APPARENTLY working with paypal as of dec 30 but stopped replying to all comments/emails after that, so who knows. It's official though: I'm no the only one this same thing has happened to.

Dec. 6th, 2012 at 3:16 PM malytwotails LSS: "Zardis" buys soap from http://www.contactcaffeine.com , is displeased with it, we sent her a refund immediately, and a month later, she posts inflammatory journals about us out of the blue. So here's some caps, since she's admitted in them that she called PayPal with the intention of having them issue a larger refund, past the value of the items she purchased., and while Con*Tact can eat a bar of soap here or there, I am horrified to think she'd try this on a real commission she was displeased with. WHO: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zardis (RL name omitted because she's a minor) WHAT: I don't really know what exactly to call this. :/ WHERE: Through our own website, email, and FurAffinity WHY: ???????? WHEN: September-December 2012 Woke up to this today. She deleted the original journal, which then became this beast (I am Poison, in the comments): Here's her original complaint, now that you've read all of her current complaints. This is dated 11/1/12 I never did see those photos. Our reply, with the same date. This is her original reply she sent us, on 11/1. We considered the issue closed at that point. And here's our 11/2 refund, with both transactions. Note that just over a month has passed between the two, because we shipped her soap and she was displeased between those two dates. This girl has previously purchased from us. In fact, we missed her FREE sample last order, and she sent us an email complaining over the omission. We made up a pack of samples for her, on our own dime, wrote the customs form, drove it to the post office, waited in line, and paid out of our own pockets to send her additional free merchandise, just to keep our customer's goodwill. Now, our site says all over it "Caffeine soap is not intended for those under 18", and I couldn't help but notice that on her fursuiting FA, she mentions she's 15 (dated 2010). So even if it hasn't been edited since then, she'd still be a minor, which leads me to worry about PayPal - don't they have a strict over-18 policy? CONFIRMED: She is 16 as of this post, and using PayPal as a minor (with her own money) So, that's it. I thought that we closed the case, guess not! Beware! EDIT: This is the threat note she received from the FA account "Cerberus." , sent right around the same time as her journal posts, from an empty FA account. http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/malytwotails/137829/639344/639344_original.png EDIT2: Followup from FA administrators regarding the threat, stating that she sent herself the note. http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/637279.html?thread=24707935#t24707935 EDIT3: We've now received notes from her boyfriend, "shady." on ConTact's account. (already sent in my harassment ticket) http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/malytwotails/137829/639703/639703_original.jpg http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/malytwotails/137829/639882/639882_original.jpg EDIT4: She's sent us a private apology over all of this (and apologizing on her boyfriend's behalf), and we're considering the issue closed and resolved. EDIT5: She's back and arguing again over $0.01 , apparently http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/637279.html?thread=24723039#t24723039 EDIT6: After spending a day and a half arguing with a 16 year old on the internet, I'm entirely out of energy for this anymore. It's as resolved as it's going to get.

Aug. 13th, 2012 at 9:04 PM Dorthy Moore WHO: bigdog2010 WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bigdog2010 WHAT: I made bigdog2010 a "transformation" picture (taking his normal human picture and changing his eyes, nose and ears into that of a wolfs), took me 3 hours to make, he posted payment before I started to work on it, he continued to email me about the picture so since the payment was suppose to be on the way I posted the picture. He then turned around and CANCELLED the payment a couple days later! WHEN: August 5 PROOF: http://i49.tinypic.com/k3517q.png http://i46.tinypic.com/2hebjac.png EXPLAIN: Mr.Bigdog contacted me asking for me to do the commission, he asked me about how much I ask for each option, he continued to ask about if I could do the eyes, ears and nose and we both settled on the agreement of $20 for all of the options, he posted payment and I began work. As you can see I told him I was waiting til payment was posted before I began work, he posted payment and basically demanded me to begin working. I began working on it and he kept asking about the picture and how long it would take. It took me three hours to make the said picture. He kept asking about it and I posted it. He said he liked it and began to ask me about a future commission of him being a lion. He agreed to contact me about it once he got more money. That was the end of it. I went today to see if payment was cleared out and it was CANCELLED.

This is my first time writing something like this so I apologize if it's a little all over the place. For winter I have been taking holiday icon commissions, mostly to fund my medical bill expenses and my medications. Nothing was suspicious at first, everything seemed fine. I normally take my commissions through Telegram and sell there, so this wasn't odd in the slightest. They proceed to then ask me if they could get their character drawn, to which I agree. About three days later, I end up finishing their holiday icon and send them the file. (You can see that they are still using the art as their profile picture on Telegram as well) Everything was fine, though today at around 5pm I got an email from PayPal saying that a case was opened. I was not expecting this at all, as I had finished their icon 2 weeks prior and we had no issues. I have never had this happen before, but after talking with someone I'm close to, I figured out what to do. I ended up putting my own info into the case, stating that they had paid for the piece on the 5th of this month, and then I finished on the 8th of this month. I had included a screenshot of our conversation to PayPal. They put this under 'unauthorized purchase' even though we had clearly discussed this over Telegram and they confirmed that they did indeed send the money over to my PayPal. I'm not sure what to do, or how long this will take (it said it could take up to 30 days, but I just don't know if there's a general time before that where they usually solve this?) Any advice/help would mean a lot to me, as this has never happened to me before and I'm not 100% sure what to do at this point. Do I just wait it out and hope? Thank you for reading this!!

On the 19.03.2019 a person nicknamed Fytch contacted me in order to commission a custom base from me, which they would later use to sell YCH art with. On the 20.03.2019, they asked me for my PayPal link in order to pay me. I haven't received the payment at that point but I continued to work on the drawing nerveless. On the 21.03.2019, I finally received the payment and was able to send the base in a psd file to Fytch. They also paid me 25$ instead of 15$ for my hard work. And all was fine until today (17.07.2019). I logged to my PayPal, just to learn that the payment from Fytch got refunded because of an "unauthorized transaction". My account got sustained until the whole situation gets cleared out. At the moment when I'm typing this, my account is still at loss for 23,27 USD. Please, let me know if you find someone using the base seen below to earn profits with it. THEY DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO IT! Thank you.

Woke up to a charge back on Paypal this morning. I sold an adopt I previously bought to Fytch back in March, I have the conversation where you can see she clearly agreed on the payment and agreed that she saved/received all the art of the character. I have already sent all of this to Paypal, I have also spoken with Paypal to which they told me they are aware of Fytch doing a lot of charge-backs recently. They stated that unfortunately Fytch went through her bank/credit card and that they would have to send my proof to them and wait for a decision. Until then, I just want other to be aware that this is happening a LOT and I hope that it stops.

Our entire conversation starting at the point where I confronted them regarding the charge backs here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kytjdKIUkqUK82fOgdv-Rz-1h1-ZOUMn/view?usp=sharing Geckorobot1 received their artworks: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30840303/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31188488/ Starting at 06/14/2019 The first piece totaling $180 and the second $220, with the breakdowns sent via invoice on paypal, my TOS is listed here : https://www.charmrage.com/terms-of-service, since I want everyone to have all the information at hand. I began by asking them what had happened though already another artist had contacted me since this chargeback happened along with several to 7 artists that I know of in total. They began by telling me that they paypal glitched out and opened all of these cases, and that the account was then deleted. I asked for them to reach out to paypal, and have the disputes removed, at this time I had paypal funds and I had not been in financial danger so I wanted to find a resolution. They offered to send a new payment, which i declined since you are 1. not supposed to take money for services through friends and family 2. would not remove the cases against me on my business account which would affect my credibility with paypal, they also offer a contract which I also reject. I asked if they would call, but eventually called my self and the disputes were removed by paypal, and they stated that the bank denied their clients claims and ruled in my favor. At this time I believed it was over, the situation made me feel uneasy, but the claims were removed. This all happened over the course of the weekend. 06/19/2019 On this day I was notified that one of the cases was re-opened and that, I lost the other one due to lack of shipping. I immediately contacted paypal and they informed me that the bank had re-opened the cases at the clients request. At this point I wrote my quick AB on twitter since this person was still getting art and there were too many things pointing to a potential scam. They reached out to me again offering to pay, and I ask them to reach out to their bank and have the cases removed. This also brings up the fact that it was not a paypal glitch or account cancellation that had triggered any of this like I was told, it was a dispute filed through the bank. I told them to reach out tho their bank and they find reasons why they are not able to opting to e-mail them. They continue to ask me several time to take care of it like I did before, which I already mentioned to them was not possible. It seems at this point all of their payment methods are failing and no change occurs. They offer to use square, which the same thing can happen on in the same way. 06/21/2019 They continue to try to pay me in methods I refuse since they are not legitimate, I cannot trust this person so I don't want to receive payment in a method they can repeat this. These other methods would then not be attached to the services done so then their disputes would become valid. 07/02/2019 By this time I have lost both my cases with paypal, their bank sided with them. Their bank won't re-open the cases for them and state they opened the cases. 07/04/2019 I offer them the ability to pay me back through Zelle which is another payment service, but would not be attached to my business account and is not possible to chargeback on. They offer to use Western Union but at this point I refuse to spend more time going to a location to pick up[ money when the payment service I mentioned can be done via a phone, involving no parties to go anywhere just sent the money.I ask, since I was left under the impression that I was going to receive payment, turns out that they still need to pay other artists. 07/14/2019 They offer to mail the cash even though I have explained that I will only use Zelle, which to me is again not safe of legitimate. They then proceed to become upset over the post AB on my twitter. They at this point have still not paid me, and I don't feel any progressive change occurring only arguing, I included the rest of the chat so as to not hide anything.

I opened this YCH for 2 slots scene [NSFW] http://www.furaffinity.net/view/31649056/ This person noted me they wanted to claim both slots with the other person. The buyer replied giving me link to character's ref and email for PayPal invoice I have received the payment and started working on the order. On July 21st YCH had been already done and sent to both customers and was uploaded to my gallery. Also it shows that person had been read the note with the finished artwork. I didn't got any reply from this buyer, but since I had some similar not talkative customers, I assumed that everything is ok. But just recently, on April 30th, I discovered an open dispute in PayPal from Fijipupper with the only description "they scammed me, sadly". So I tried to contact Fijipupper using a messages in the dispute window and here through notes on the FA, but was ignored. After turning to PayPal, the case, unfortunately, was not closed in my favor. (Sorry for the bad quality, the schreenshot was made via phone) All of this has really stressed me out now. I used to get a case in PP before, but after talking with the customer everything was peacefully decided and closed. But seems not this time. In any case, I want to warn other artists to be really careful receiving orders from this person.

So this all starts with Geckorobot1 (Nyx) Messaging in April asking for a commission. I happily accepted as, while i was working full time at this point, i still made time to do commissions but they were a bit slow going. I kept this person updated as frequently as possible, so communication wasn't an issue. Fast forward to June, the commission is complete and needing to be sent out. I start seeing multiple bewares on twitter about this person filing charge-backs on people even when the art is completed so i hesitate on sending it out for things to die down and see the outcome of all these bewares, more to protect myself than anything. A few days later, i get a charge-back filed through his credit card company. He claims he is not filing any of these chargebacks but i have proof via paypal this isn't the case and im very distraught, because along with the commission cost i now have to swallow the 20$ paypal fee (half the cost of the original commission+) Dispute Paypal transcript (Blocked out my name) I wait to see if i get a message from this person explaining themselves, and i dont. Not a word. I end the dispute and eat the loss, and block them. I then contact paypal and was thankfully able to get a payout so i can safely keep the art and not have to worry about being scammed out of work already done AGAIN. Without adding too much unnecessary info about the drama surrounding this and my conversations with this person arguing about insisting to pay after betraying my trust, I dont believe the list of excuses he gave as to why this happened. It went from, my paypal glitched to i deleted my paypal and it caused charge-backs to its my card messing up. None of which i believe as none of these things actually happen and i have proof from a paypal representative saying these were filed manually. This made me so nervous to continue using paypal but the representative did say that digital artists have protection, so all i can really say is keep receipts of everything and contact the help center if something goes wrong. You are protected. Since i didnt get to save messages of the transaction before i blocked here are messages admitting the charge-back and me denying further payment. I wish i could provide more info but since i shut the situation down so quickly after hearing from others i really didnt have the energy to hear more excuses/ arguing ways to get the art from me.

Commission was asked for through DM's on twitter. Invoice was paid on the 29th of July Commission was completed 30th of July and delivered/received. Dispute was made August 15th User seems to have changed their twitter handle in that time. ( Previously @ FoxyAnya_ | Currently Aika_productions ) I have included the form reference link opened as a screenshot and a screenshot of the character ref provided via DM to prove it is the same commissioner by reference given despite the name change. I contacted them via DM and learned that they were on the used paypal account with their guardian. (I also speculate this is why the invoice e-mail is different from the dispute e-mail on paypal) The guardian has filed the dispute. After further discussion with the client it appears they asked for the commission. Paid for it, and now the guardian is disputing. I requested to be put in contact with the guardian to try to resolve this. Client dodged this request. I inquired if they had text proof of the guardian granting permission for them to get the commission through the account. They said yes, they had texted it. When I asked for a screenshot for my paypal case they stated they could not find it and stopped responding. Paypal dispute is still pending. I have provided all information I could to paypal at this point, however, as this client claims to not be in charge of the paypal account they utilize I felt this warranted a warning.

syrae_universe WHO: Dogpuke WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/ WHAT: One digital Lineart pinup of their character. (Completed on May 30th, 2012) WHEN: May 20st, 2012 (Payment was made on May 20th, 2012) PROOF: Notes http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE_COMPLETE.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/NOTE_OUTBOX_NORESPONCE.png Link that proves it was completed. (Tumblr) Emails: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/EMAIL3.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/EMAIL2.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Syrae_Universe/Other stuff/Paypalinfo.png EXPLAIN: Okay. This commissioner sent me notes on both accounts for both a furcadia portrait and a digital pinup of their character. I told them that ports are closed (Due to certain reasons I won't go in) and that the others are opened. She sent me 25.00 USD via PayPal on the 20th of May. After it was done, I posted it up on my tumblr account since I only posted up on my galleries on Saturdays only. It saves me the hassle. Around June 1st, I get this email from PayPal that the commissioner opened a claim to get their money back after I just finished it. As shown above, I sent a note asking why is she filing a claim, but didn't get an answer. So, I returned to give evidence to Paypal stating that I did what I was paid to, showed evidence and turned it in (gone now since they moved on with the claim.) since they are not going to respond to me immediately. I know they've read the email but said nothing or had given me an excuse. Today, I received an email from paypal that the credit card company took their money. In result of this, the chargeback settlement fee was 20.00, which left me 9.03 in the red (Which usually entails that I am in the negative.) I was very upset about this because I'm never in the negatives. I did call paypal about it and they are disputing it with the company on my behalf. They also put back the chargeback fee so I'm no longer in the negative. I've still yet to get a reason behind this and I've talked to a few other artists that have yet to be paid by this commissioner. I wanted to leave a forewarning about this person in particular because you might get conned out of your hard earned money. This has still yet to be resolved since I didn't get my money back for drawing this picture in particular. All screenshots are posted above. Actual name of commissioner has been removed. Mine has not. Update: Sadly, I got an email back regarding my dispute and it reads: "As you know, we have been using the information you provided to dispute a chargeback filed against the transaction detailed below. Despite our best efforts, the buyer's credit card company decided in favor of the buyer. Unfortunately, we do not control the outcome of the chargeback decision reached by the buyer's issuing bank in a credit card transaction. By accepting the terms of the PayPal User Agreement, you agreed to accept the decision of the issuing bank as final and legally binding for this type of dispute." So I didn't get my money back.

Feb. 15th, 2012 at 9:57 AM salty_dog Im not really happy about having to go as far as posting here, but im not really sure what to do anymore with this situation. :c WHO: Sasha_tanaka and Terraformer, WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sashatanaka/ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/terraformer/ WHAT: Sold an original piece of artwork via auction on FA in November 2011. Buyer paid via Paypal and was friendly. Artwork was shipped and confirmed delivered. January 2012, charge-back issued saying payment was not authorized and payment for the artwork was taken back as well as a case opened on Paypal. Buyer says they did not initiate charge-back. Submitted evidence to Paypal of valid transaction and proof of delivery. Weeks later got another email from Paypal saying charge-back went through. Called paypal via buyer's request and Paypal said that they are working with the credit card company to show that it was a valid transaction but will take 75-80 days before the credit card company will get back to Paypal. I gave the buyer two options with two weeks to do one of them, either send the original artwork back or pay me the money owed. Buyer says they don't have money to pay me the money they owe but they are getting a tax refund check and that they'll have the money on the 28th of February which is 6 days outside the two week time frame I gave. WHEN: November 1st, 2011 - Artwork bought and paid for. November 8th, 2011 - Artwork Shipped. November 12th, 2011 - Artwork delivered and confirmed via delivery confirmation/tracking. January 24, 2012 - Email received from Paypal about buyer issuing chargeback and that transaction was not authorized. $55 taken out of my Paypal account. Febuary 8th, 2012 - Chargeback authorized by Buyer's Paypal and Credit Card company + $20 fee for this on top of the $55 that was charged back. Paypal talking with buyer's Credit Card company but will take 75-80 days for any word from buyer's credit card company. Gave the buyer two options and two weeks to do one; either send the artwork back to me or pay me the money owed ($55). Febuary 14th, 2012 - Buyer says they won't have money until 28th of Febuary which is 6 days after the two week deadline. PROOF: Last year (2011) at the end of October I did an auction on FurAffinity for the original artwork I did in traditional mediums (seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4716757/) of a Cheshire Cat. The winning bidder was Terraformer (the boyfriend) and Sasha_tanaka (the girlfriend). I mainly spoke with the boyfriend via note but he was talking to me about the original artwork for his girlfriend and she was the one who would be sending me the money via paypal. This was back on November 1st of 2011. Here's a screenshot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/salty_dog/CheshireCatBought.jpg The final amount for the original was $50 + $5 for shipping, making a total of $55 to be sent to me via paypal. Great. All was good, got the payment and confirmed the shipping address. Here's a screenshot of this: After that I created a label via paypal with Delivery confirmation service; screenshot: Proof of delivery: Come January 24, 2012, I got this alarming email to which I responded promptly with the above screenshots, info and tracking information (showing the artwork had been delivered). Screenshot of the email: Here's my correspondence with the buyer and his girlfriend after I got that email: I waited for paypal to update after I gave them evidence of everything. Its been a few weeks but then I got an email today (Feb 8, 2012) with this: and this in my paypal (with an additional $20 fee tacked on to the $55.): I noted Sasha_tanaka again about this. I called the Paypal number she gave me and Paypal said they have submitted all evidence of a valid transaction to her credit card company and that basically it will take 75-80 days before the Credit Card company will get back to them. While I was on the phone the representative was able to reverse the $20 fee but im still out the $55. I told her she has two options and initially one week (agreed to max of two weeks) to do one of them or posting everything up on Artists_Beware: I got this note (Feb 14, 2012) saying she can't pay until after the deadline I gave her. Since she told me that she will not be able to pay and seems unwilling to send the artwork back by the deadline I gave her, I am now forced to take action - make a posting here to A_B. At this point she has the original artwork for free and Im out $55 and the artwork. Im not really sure what to do at this point. I've been trying to give Sasha the benefit of the doubt but im getting to my wits end. I would just like to get the artwork back or the money im owed for the original artwork. EDIT 2/16/2012 I received this note today: EDIT [2] 2/16/2012 She sent me an echeck via paypal a few minutes ago: along with this note: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/salty_dog/Beware/9.jpg EDIT [3] 2/17/2012 A journal that Terraformer posted about the situation: and I received this note from Sasha; I never received the email she's referring to. I have posted everything I received and sent. I felt this was also relevant: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/salty_dog/Beware/Journal3.jpg EDIT [4] 2/17/2012 Sasha just posted this journal: Ill let you know when the echeck clears and then this can finally be marked as resolved. EDIT [5] 2/17/2012 Here is the log from the resolution center showing that I provided tracking information for the dispute: The echeck cleared today - Febuary 23rd, 2012 This can be marked as resolved. EDIT [8] 3/7/2012 I got an email saying that the credit card company had reached their decision (which thankfully didn't take 75-80 days) and sided with the buyer, so the chargeback did infact go completely through. I just want to put this here to show that I am not getting paid twice or anything. If I had gotten paid twice (if the credit card company had sided with me) then I would have of course refunded the second $55.
