About Me

  1. I commissioned Gamblepaws for a NSFW picture around December of 2020. I paid the invoice on December 17th, then heard nothing for three months. After three months of waiting and not hearing anything I was finally told I'd be getting a work-in-progress sketch that evening (June 15th, 2021). Then after not hearing back I waited a little longer then asked if there was an ETA. I've asked a few times over the months now but I've not heard back since then, so now it's been another three months since they've said they'd have a sketch done by the evening. In total I've been waiting nine months since paying the invoice and I've only heard from the artist once after paying, and that took 3 months... After nine months my commission hasn't even been started and the artist is ghosting me. They've been active on Twitter and have posted as recently as October 1st, 2021, yet still haven't opened any of my notes on FA nor responded to my DM on Twitter. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2021_10/Screenshot_2021-10-06_14-46-37.png.c0ada617cd7078ad868e204c520c9f68.png
  2. Hello all. So I ordered this commission back in February 16th of 2021. I have previously worked with this artist before and never had an issue with them so I decided to work with them again since I quite like the last piece I did. Anyways I successfully put in the request commission form from a Google from thing can't remember the exact thing and got a response back within a few days and she was quite excited to be working with me again. About a month later on March 19th I did receive a rough sketch so just the line arts. As for what I commission was in general I ordered a single character illustration with full shading and a background. When I got the sketch I was quite happy with it as it looked very cute. I did requested two things to be changed on it though. The first one was the body style. The character I used was a bit chubby and they drew her as a thin character even though I had her body style listed in the character info tab thing for the refs I sent. The second was just to make the boobs a bit bigger as they where pretty small for the character and just looked a bit weird to me. And following that she agreed to change those for me and have it fixed in a few days After the sketch was approved that is when things took a turn. On April 11th I asked for an update and got no response, I waited two months and asked on June 15th for an update and once again no response. Then I became a bit annoyed and sent another one on June 19th asking for an update as it has been three months since I received anything. Finally the next day June 20th I received a reply She mentioned to me she was having health problems and was worried this affected our business relationship with us working together for comms or however you put it. I mentioned to her that that is all fine and I hope she makes a good recovery and feels better soon. Next month July 8th 2021 I receive a message saying she will have an update by the weekend and I responded with how I was excited to see it. And this is the last I have ever heard of her. On August 9th I sent a hello message and was ignored and two in July but deleted those as I thought I was spamming. Finally I had enough I sent a message on August 29th detailing my annoyance and lack of response and how I was a bit stressed especially with how much money this was. I outlined I would like a refund but she could keep what is owed for the rough sketch. As of me waiting this it is September 16th and I have yet to hear a response. I am slowly getting done with commissioning people a this will be the fourth artist I have had to deal with that has run off with my money. I like to commission people and support others but it is really getting hard for me to do so as I'm just paranoid at this point so idk what to do. Anyways here is a bunch of images Paypal Invoice statement I paid on February 18th 2021 Message one: Discussing comm stuff, like pose the character I'm using and background junk Random stuff and Paypal being weird for me with the invoice Rough sketch received Lack of response 1 Response back and saying when I'll get an update Where we are at now But yes hopefully this all checks out. Still learning how to do these. But ea take care and have a great day, cheers! ^^
  3. Hawk and I agreed to do a trade where he was to give me a set assortment of video games in return for $50 usd and lots of art from me. I believe he goes by he/him pronouns so that is what I am using for this post. His account has since been deleted so the user is going to be “instagrammer” He took a long while to actually tell me what he wanted with reguards to artwork so I didn’t actually start drawing until he picked out said drawings that they wanted me to do. He ended up asking me to choose the amount and type of drawings I do for him. and this is the reaction to me sending WIP photos of the artwork and eventually finishing them all (images aren’t there anymore) I asked him for his address so I could ship the artwork off as soon as I could and it took them a few days to respond to that. I am pretty sure I shipped the box out on October 19th or 20th 2020 and asked him to let me know when he received them. I thought it was weird only because I didn’t have any other international or US packages take this long even with the pandemic. I messaged him when I saw that it was delivered and he hadn’t messaged me. Since he stated that he had COVID I let him be and didn’t message him for at least 2 weeks. I ended up messaging him for a check up on February 17th because he said he would package it up and send me a picture in the previous message which he didn’t do. here he sends me a picture of the labeled package (just a handwritten one) so I believed the package would be sent that week like they said. I tried not to message him about shipping or tracking at the time it because I didn’t want to seem like I was pestering him. Since it took so long one way, I assumed it would take just as much time the other way so I decided to message him about a tracking number when I falsely believed the package was well on its way. This is the last of the messages we sent through Instagram when I saw that the Instagram account was deleted I assumed he just ran away, hence my first message to him through Telegram I knew I wasn’t the only one having issues with him (as about 3-4 close friends privately messaged be about similar issues with him as well) to this day I have not received anything out of this “trade”. No artwork or money or games. I tried to be extremely patient this entire time with him as I know he has mental health problems and 2020 was a year, but I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. Talking to him seems to get me nowhere.
  4. Here is the original agreement for a paw commission and a headshot commission. Proof: Part 2 of the Agreement: Also how you can see on the screenshot above the artist has received the payment, but here is proof of the transaction anyways: After everything was settled I checked out the artists queue to get some kind of idea how long I might have to wait on the commissions. And well I was very surprised that the artists list is really long... So I figured I give the artist a reasonable time period to work on them. So after two months of radio silence in the dms, I saw that the artist still took a lot of commissions, even thought their current list, which got even longer the last time I checked, wasn't even done yet. I thought I'm gonna message the artist again, cuz on their list they wrote that people can message them to get prioritized on their list. This went as follows: I received no response on the original message, even though the artist was tweeting and engaging the entire time on their social media accounts. After a week of no response I decided to message them again. Which is the second message on the screenshot above. When this message was ignored as well I set a deadline for the artist. Which is the third message you can see on the screenshot above. There was a shorter time period between the second and third message, because I already got a bit annoyed. Finally after another week I got an answer from the artist: First I was a bit sympathetic with them, because I get that mental stress can have a big impact on someones life and I explained why I was so persistent to them as well. But showing my sympathy was a mistake, because after the conversation above the artist started to make excuses for not working on commission more and more frequently on their public twitter account. Also communication with this artist stopped entirely in the dms. They never responded back. So I messaged them regarding a refund, after again almost 2 months of radio silence. I gave the artist more time than the deadline I set them originally. And I still haven't received an answer yet.
  5. Initial agreement of two images. Two illustrations. One for a playmat and another for card sleeves. payment proof: First image delivered + no response on the second one. It has been radio silence for 2 months with not even lineart done on my second picture
  6. Mel and I agreed to a $300 piece of my character with a background. The original agreement is on a Twitter account I deleted years ago, but here are my payments as well as a message on Facebook that she would be working on it. Mel had delivered 6 smaller commissions in the past, so I trusted her and was fine with waiting. When she started, things seemed to progress smoothly. (Text with personal details are marked out.) I reached out occasionally from Twitter (on the same account that I had deleted) for updates. On her Trello, my piece was last updated in 2019: https://trello.com/b/DTDzsnqX/commissions 2020 was the last time I sent a message on Twitter. I realized I had not heard from her in a while, so when I went to ask about the commission status, I saw Mel had set her Twitter account to protected (so I could not contact her). I then tried to reach out to her on Furaffinity and saw my account was blocked. I tried to contact Mel one more time by e-mail. I saw the next day that she had disabled her Furaffinity account and deleted her Twitter. I had felt that things were progressing smoothly, if slowly, and nothing seemed out of place. So I was very surprised by the quiet account block. It was only after these events that I checked Artist Beware and saw she had bewares under previous account names. I hope this helps others avoid the trouble.
  7. I commissioned Raver back in June 2019 for a bodysuit with indoor feet. Prices were discussed and the total came to $1050. I later added on custom shoes to go with the feet paws which was $150. Totaling now $1200. I had ask if a deadline of late Oct/Start of Nov as I had a convention later in Nov. He said he would try but he had a convention in July he was attending and would try getting it started in Aug. Over the rest of 2019, I had messaged him multiple times asking for updates which I was always met with excuses about illness or family matters. Which I understand life sometimes gets in the way so I let it slide. See screenshots below of all excuses also excuses from 2020. Now into 2020 I had asked a few more times for updates to which I was met with more excuses(See above). Then in March world wide lockdowns started to occur. I asked him if he would be working from home during the lockdown and he said he wouldn't be able to so I waited. Come April he mentioned on social media that he would be going back to work. One of his excuses was that my DTD wasn't suitable for use. He had waited almost a full year(April 2020) to tell me my DTD wasn't useable even though he had opened the box when he first got it and would've seen the issue with it(issue was I used cling film instead of a painters suit) Proof he opened the box when he first got it He claims that is his TOS it states 50% would be nonrefundable once work had started. Not once were his TOS sent to me nor were they anywhere on his profile for me to access. Only a small message at the start did he say "when I start 50% is non refundable" After a lot of back and forth I sent him a new DTD and had asked that my feetpaws be worked on while he waited on the new DTD Feetpaws were not worked out while he waited for the DTD. He then also had a surgery coming up. That was all he had to show, for almost a year. There's no confirming those are even meant to be mine, could easily be someone else's. I then asked for more updates in April and May. More excuses(attached above with excuses from 2019). I was rather upset at this point that I had waited almost a full year and nothing had been done. He then posted that he was selling a commission slot for a head piece that would be started in June. I messaged him rather upset explaining my disappointment that someone would have their piece worked on before mine was even started. On 19th of May 2020 after informing him of my disapproval of the lack of work, he decided to cancel my order and was only offering me a 50% refund. I tried going to both PayPal and my bank to see if they could help but because it had been so long either could do anything to help me. I also tried to get a lawyer but because he's in a different country from me(Scotland and Norway) they said it would cost more to get my money back. He tried to send me 50% refund but I didn't accept until I had spoken with my bank and PayPal but because both too so long to get back to me PayPal refunded the money Raver had sent back to him. I later requested the 50%($600) from Raver on 26th Oct 2020. Luckily he sent me the money. Raver has since said in a Instagram Live that he does only 30% nonrefundable deposit. I have since emailed him regarding this and he has agreed to refund me. I am now waiting on the rest that I am owed.
  8. I am currently awaiting a refund on a fursuit comission that was taken on in 2019. It was paid in installments before it was started. I paid one (1) upgrade fee for the markings and then one (1) rush fee with an optional tip to get my suit finished faster. After a large amount of time passing due to the pandemic and problems on the makers end, after multiple requests for updates, I have requested a refund on the 5th of January 2021. Only then was I shown evidence that my fursuit had been started. After a few requests my most recent message from them was on the 12th of May 2021 and despite seeing my messages they have not yet responded. I am extreamly hopeful I will get my money refunded as they seem honest with their intent but this has gone on for over 2 years and I can no longer afford to wait. Pictured is the conversation begining where the commision was accepted, discussion of the upgrade fee, discussion of rush fee, when the suit should be started, requesting a refund, the most recent messages sent by me and pictures of Paypal invoices sent and paid.
  9. I preordered two pins of Raver’s characters from Charapins a year ago. Cost me $32 with shipping. He gave me the run around for months after. I even found a post saying that the pins had arrived and I asked there and on Twitter when the pins were getting sent out. I haven’t heard from him since March. I don’t expect my money back and I don’t even want the pins at this point. I know I’m one of many people that Raver has ghosted but I figured I’d share my experience as well. And last message was sent 07/28/21
  10. Found artist advertising commissions on Reddit under the reddit name "meal_t1me" . I had gotten a commission from them initially on 5/21/21 with no issues whatsoever, and then a few days later they sent me a DM begging me for money. After some dispute over the amount, I agreed on a second commission. I sent a payment for this commission for £26.25 (£25 + tip) on 5/29/21. A few weeks passed with no response from the Artist to which they finally messaged me with that they are "being thretened to be doxed". More weeks passed with no response. On 6/17/21 I requested a refund for the commission. A day later they said they are sorry, they are being threatened, and "will get to my commission ASAP" It is now 7/16/21 and the artist deleted their discord and reddit accounts. All screenshots of our conversation, and proof of paypal transaction are being submitted with this post, with sensitive information censored out. Some important things to note: [Mod Note: We removed a segment on supposed proof of the user "begging" for money. While this artist's behavior is inexcusable, they were not begging for money. They were asking for work.] Artist begging for money in a direct message to me Artist using multiple discord accounts [Mod Note: Upon looking around, this isn't two discords. It's Nitro] Artist using multiple paypal accounts Artist changed the agreed upon price of a commission Artist has deleted all means of contact
  11. I do not condone any harassment against Orange-PEEL, nor do I wish any harm or ill will against them. Please do not contact them. Please know that I am not the only client of theirs that has experienced these issues. We both agreed on a total of $540 which was a maximum of 12 fully colored frames, and they included a free climax loop and free background. We also agreed to split up the payments into four different transactions. First payment was sent Jun 16 2020 and last payment was sent Jul 7 2020. I had paid up to $405. The last message I received was Aug 6 2020 until Feb 28 2021. Before that time, any attempt to contact them through Twitter, Email, and their Patreon went unanswered, despite Patreon being their only active platform making monthly updates. I became their Patreon for $1 a month just so maybe I could find out what was going on and as another means to contact them. I didn't learn much other than it sounded like they were busy with other animations, and occasional issues would come up. I only learned from someone else that they have been dealing with lots of personal issues that I will keep private. Orange-PEEL responded to my DMs on Patreon Feb 28 2021 giving an update on the commission and saying they were working on a more detailed message that I would receive soon. That was the last time I heard from them. I initially contacted Orange-PEEL Jun 10th 2020 on their Twitter. I was a bit skeptical because their account had been inactive for a year at this point, but to my surprise they replied within the hour. After sharing some references they went on to give me the final prices. I sent some more references and details while getting ready for the first payment. They followed up shortly after with an update on the commission. They gave another update and I paid the second half. After this a few messages about the details were exchanged before they stopped responding. I then decided to try and reach them outside of Twitter, and this is when I became a Patreon of theirs. I wasn't able to receive any refund from PayPal due to how much time had passed and sending the money as a close friend/family. I know, bad mistake. Progress was being made so quickly that I didn't think I had any reason to worry. They didn't respond to any comments or DMs on Patreon, even when I sent them minutes after an update. The only thing I would receive on their Patreon were rewards sent out through DMs, which felt like a slap in the face. Eventually they responded on Feb 28. I was happy to hear from them and was looking forward to finishing this up. Never received a more detailed message, just more reward DMs. At this point I want a full refund but I don't think that'll happen. I understand some of the things that Orange-PEEL is going through, but their lack of communication has been very upsetting especially with the amount of money involved. What irks me is how regular they are on Patreon but neglects me as their client (and others) who's spent top dollar. I believe they are overloaded with work and anxiety, but I don't think that's an excuse to treat a client this way. I hope they are doing well now, and wish for the best out of this situation. Thanks for your time!
  12. Caudle does not create art pieces, instead he creates audios that feature a variety of kinks. Things like hypnosis, vore, coiling and the like. He writes the script, creates the sounds, and hires a voice actor for it. He mostly creates audios for purchase on his store at Sibylline Sounds, but he also offers custom audios of your character. I commed him to get a vore audio of one of my characters. I sent in an application and he responded the same day confirming the details and giving a deadline of 2-3 weeks. (Some of the email correspondence will have weird formatting. This is because I deleted them from my inbox and had to find them in my sent mail. Also, I censored his email, because while it is the official email for his store, I wanted to be cautious.) I confirmed the details and paid the invoice. After about a month with no updates I contacted him asking for an update and was told there were some delays and I would have a script to approve that week. I was never sent a script, so I waited a couple of weeks. After not hearing anything I contacted him again at the end of May asking for another update. He apologized for the delay and told me he would send a script soon. Which I never received. After this I held off from requesting updates for a couple of months thinking that the pandemic and things going on in his personal life were probably taking precedence. In December of 2020 I sent another email asking for an update, but got no response. Finally near the end of January 2021 he contacted me and gave a short update, including a small draft of the script. I was told that it should be finished sometime in early February. Never got contacted in February, so I waited a couple months and sent a request for an update in April, but got no response. Later on in the beginning of June I sent another email asking for a response. He replied back, saying the delay was because the voice actor he wanted to use was not responding to any of his messages. He offered a refund, but I declined because I really do want this audio. I asked to be kept informed about the status of the audio and he agreed to send me updates every week. After a couple of weeks of not getting any updates I sent an email asking if he had any luck finding new voice actors. He replied that he had and sent me some demo reels of a couple of actors. A couple of days later I asked for an update on the script and he replied that he made some progress on it, but was having writer's block and asked for suggestions for other scenarios. That is the last correspondence between us. I still really do want this audio, his work is amazing. I understand that creating an audio is more complex than general art. I do understand that delays and IRL stuff do happen. I just wish he were more communicative about that. If delays happen I want to be informed and if I deadline is missed I want to be contacted about it instead of me having to contact him.
  13. Contacted user on June 9, 2020 about an Overwatch YCH for $60 (original submission has been deleted). Payment receipt: Did not hear from Rose for close to two months and checked their page in late August 2020 and found a journal about refunding commissions due to technical difficulties and contacted them, at which point they agreed to add me to their refund queue: Did not hear from them again and noted a second time on November 8, 2020 about the refund agreement above: Once again, no further contact after this. Sent a third message in January 11, 2021 which has not been read: Sent another message June 2, 2021 which so far has also been left unread: User is currently still actively posting to FA, just want to put this out there to make sure no one else ends up in the same boat as me.
  14. The 5th of June, 2019, I approached BrokenVocaloid on the subject of attaining a YCH of theirs called the "Prison YCH" replying to the post directly and asking them if I could send my own reference sheet via the notes system which was agreed upon. (First picture) And on the same day, I sent the payment which was accepted. (Second picture) Around that time, BrokenVocaloid was going through lots of stress, stating said stress through journals, and expressing their frustrations through art, explaining their situation and saying about how their rent was the main reason behind the delays in art. About a month later, Jul 19th, 2019, I sent her a note, asking if it had been done as of yet. At the time I was very timid, and felt bad for asking, even though it'd been a month in which I hadn't received any WIPs or as such, messages. I got a reply back from them with the following. (Third picture) So, I waited a little longer. As I said, I was quite timid, and felt bad about sending that one message, so I decided to give BrokenVocaloid some space, and forgot about it... ...Until I realised how long it had been since I had heard anything. (Fourth picture) September 4th, 2020. I like to think I'm pretty patient, but there is a limit. I constructed a message, and sent it off asking if there were any updates. What followed was a conversation that started with them saying they would check to see if my commission was done. September 13th, 2020. I personally looked through their gallery, making sure to double check it for my promised piece, and could not find it. I waited a little longer as I felt I might be harrassing them and did not want to cause drama or more stress. So I... Waited another month. October 11th, 2020 To which I asked if they'd found it, to which they replied, explaining they were very busy with work. (Fifth picture) And as the naive, timid person I am, afraid of making them angry, I refrained from messaging them, which I regret. Because it now brings us to the present day. April 27th, 2021 I asked if there were any updates regarding the commission. Waiting two years now, I was starting to realise I would probably never receive the artwork, but decided to persist. (Sixth picture) They told me they were still trying to get a lot finished up. This time I didn't wait a month, or leave it for longer, I messaged them a few days later asking if they had made a start, or finished it. (Seventh picture) Which takes us now to June 26th, 2021. BrokenVocaloid explains that they had been fighting with the mods and in parenthesis, "again", but did not elaborate. They said they would be sending it out tomorrow, and thanked me for their patience. Jun 29, 2021 - Jun 30, 2021 (Eighth & Ninth picture) Pretty much explains the rest of it. They did not deliver. They did not finish it. I haven't received a single WIP which makes me question if they ever even made a start on it. I understand that I made a lot of mistakes during this communication. I could have gotten a refund back, I should have acted upon that. I made the mistake of trusting BrokenVocaloid. I had commissioned her before, so I believed that it would've been fine, wanted to be understanding and friendly as to not put her under pressure. I apply the same to any other artists; It takes time to create art, and I'm willing to wait. But there is a limit to that patience, and at that point I feel more hurt that they keep attempting to keep the charade going of getting my commission done, than just telling me the truth and that they've not made any progress on it at all. Trying to go back to the original post is in error, due to the YCH being removed by BrokenVocaloid at an unknown time, to which I provided proof for that. (Tenth picture) My last word on the subject is that I'd recommend you don't buy from this artist... Even if you have a lot of patience, it's not worth it.
  15. I paid for a full body piece of Blazing Ifrit's commission which happened in June of last year. I was happy that he was sending me WIPs of my commission but I noticed he started taking other commissions as well which he hasn't fulfilled mine yet. When I asked him why the commission wasn't finished yet, he basically said that he was having a difficult time with his friend (or sister) with their suicidal thoughts. I cut him slack because he was going through a hard time. After a couple months , I poked him seeing how he was and if there was any progress at all. He gave me one more WIP on FurAffinity but after that, he hasn't been giving me updates or WIPs at all. Today, I asked him if I could get a refund and waiting to hear back from him. This artist should be avoided due to their lack of communication and lack of service.
  16. Our agreement was that the artist was gonna do a half body commission back in June of 2017. And after we have discussed details and I sent the details over to them, they acknowledged that everything was filled out correctly and payment will be sent shortly. After I have sent the payment, they acknowledged that they received the payment from me saying that they'll start working on the commission. Since then, I have received no updates from them regarding my commission and have emailed them multiple times but I still have gotten no response. I was infuriated at this point. It irks me that I was given no WIPs and no updates after I responded to her email after email. Along with this artist beware post I have posted pictures as proof of our conversations.
  17. So this starts on June 17th, 2020 when I commissioned them for a $20 YCH. I'm also in the market for a new reference sheet at the time, so we briefly discuss that as well. (Please note that the original YCH posting I won appears to have been taken down, however with how many YCHes the artists generally posts it's a non-zero chance that I'm just unable to find it). I completely forget about it and don't hear anything until March 8th, 2021, when I get this note. I assume there will be updates there so I join. Turns out she calls the server "BrokenVocaloid's Good Boys" and everyone who's commissioned her gets the role "good boy". I mention I'd like her to create another role maybe called "Good girl" due to myself being transgender and being called a "good boy" causing dysphoria. She doesn't discuss anything with anyone, over reacts, and completely revamps the server. (I did not take screenshots of this, and have since been removed from the server). I feel horrible about doing this to her out of nowhere, so I ask to support her at her "Golden Children" tier, which is supposed to come with benefits like free art, etc, etc. As mentioned earlier, when I got the YCH I told her I might be interested in a ref. Again, I felt bad I caused her to completely redo her server, so I moved forward and asked for a ref of Ruby. I don't hear anything that week. So on the 16th, I ask for an update on the WIP. I only asked for the update because she said she'd send the WIP within the week, normally I give artists like a month before I poke them for an update unless they give me an expectation. She ignores me. I ask again on the 19th. She ignores me. On the 24th I message her again. She points to the fact her grandmother was testing for cancer as the reason I don't have the WIP (this was posted on her journal on furaffinity here https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9797437/, and is public knowledge). I'd also asked about the YCH which at the time was 9 months overdue before her grandmother went into testing. She dodged that question. I backed down since I figured she was grieving. Ends with "I'll do it now", setting another expectation. On 4/3, I realize I might never get the ref, so I hedge my bets. I like getting all my refs from the same person, so I ask her if she can switch to my Umbreon character instead as I care much less about that reference sheet. She says she's already started working on Ruby. On 4/13, She randomly solicits me for another commission since she functionally needs something for her portfolio. I still feel bad from the original interaction in her server, so I accept. Note that she said "I will have ALOT of wips for ya tomorrow" On 4/17 I message again. She says she can send the WIPs that evening. She then sends me a discord invite to her streaming server, so I figure she's gonna stream herself working on my commission. She spends the entire evening streaming other people's commissions, and I feel extremely disappointed. So I message her again on 4/18, I'm ignored. 4/19 I write up a small wall of explanation of why I'm upset doing my best to be reasonable and professional. I get another story as to why she doesn't have them done, I'm willing to accept it at face value because things happen, and it's a somewhat reasonable story. By 5/7 I'm sick of asking for updates. I at this point noticed her artist bewares and saw someone reference her having a trello in one of them, so I ask her for it. Ignored. 5 days on 5/12 later I message her again, she doesn't even answer the question I asked at first. On 5/19 I reach a point of frustration where I tell her I don't want the art anymore and tell her to just not bother. She's been posting a lot of YCHes and saying she needs money for food, so I'm willing to let her keep the money as I'd feel bad taking that money away from her. This is the image I sent her in the previous screenshot. She says she's not going to keep the money without doing the work, so I relent. She says it'll be out within the week again. On 5/27 I ask for a refund because frankly she basically begged to be allowed to finish the commissions and then ignored her own deadline without even bothering to communicate once again. I clearly state that I'd like it back within 2 weeks or I will be filing a chargeback as I've seen other people here have issues getting refunds. I still forgive the $25 from the "Golden Child" tier because there was no direct tangible agreement there, and I feel like asking for that refund would be unreasonable. Her comment "I have a life and stuff happeend personally i had to take care of ^^; I know people dont care about that so I dont push it on them" felt like a personal attack implying I don't care about her at all, which feels completely unwarranted. Discussion about the refund. I suspect she sketched out that "WIP" in the hour and a half between my message and her message just based on how resistant to showing me she was right up until that point, the fact her explanation makes no sense, as well as the fact that the change in the way she types (using the ~ at the end of the sentence for example) comes off as smug in some way. Today (6/13) I still haven't received the refund. She's stated I'll have it tomorrow, so I'm giving her a single final chance to follow through, otherwise I'll be filing the chargeback. I strongly recommend you do not work with this person under any circumstances. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, disingenuous, and like a long string of excuses for the fact she takes on more work than she can handle with no intention of ever completing it, and I'd estimate that your odds of getting your commissions are a coin flip at best. I will be genuinely impressed if I get the refund I've been promised at this point.
  18. - At TFF I commissioned Onnanoko to create an articulated badge. The price for the badge was $100, $50 of which was paid up front. The original plan was for me to pick up the badge at BLFC 2020. When BLFC 2020 was canceled I said that I would pay for the badge to be shipped. Onnanoko replied, 'that is very kind of you, thank you ^^' That was April 19, 2020. 14 months ago. That was the last message I received from her. Since then I have sent a series of follow ups, none of which have even been read. She has not responded to a single request, despite visibly logging on Telegram multiple times. I am out $50. -
  19. I commissioned Bianca for a half body pin up back in Aug 2019 I replied saying I'd sent the payment, then didn't get any response from them whatsoever Proof of payment: A few weeks went by and I hadn't gotten any updates, never got a response to me confirming payment, so I messaged them on twitter as they'd said they'd contact me through there. No response. I sent them and email, and then attempted through twitter again as I was still not getting a reply from them. Once I said I might ask for a refund, they finally decided to reply to me. They said they'd send me an update, and did so later. They also said they just had to clean it up. Again, months went by without hearing from them again at all. I was at a bit of a loss at this point, and seeing them constantly offer commissions and freebies on their twitter had me feeling some sort of way, so I replied to one of their tweets They DMd me and I decided to give them the option to refund me as I wasn't sure exactly what the issue was with them being unable to finish my commission. They said they'd get back to me, but as expected, they never did. After this, it's just the same thing with me waiting for months, then having to poke them on twitter about the commission, some times having to message them several times before getting a response. Message proof below. After this they sent me some other messages explaining the situation and saying they were having some trouble (there's some personal info that's not needed so omitting the long explanation), they also said they'd give my commission priority Since they'd explained things, I gave them a different character to draw, hoping maybe this one would be an easier thing for them to do. I was hoping for a confirmation on what they had decided to do in the end, but again, no response whatsoever for months. After this, I let it be for a long time because once again I felt at a loss about what to do. In the end I decided to ask for a refund as I felt I'd waited long enough. I haven't gotten a response, at this point I don't know what else to do other than warn other people in hopes they don't have to go through something like this, as I've pretty much given up on ever getting the art or a refund.
  20. Product (PWYW Commission) was offered as a public solicitation in a local State Telegram Chat. I was interested and contacted the seller via direct message on Telegram with inquiries. They explained that they were offering "Pay What you Want" (PWYW) commissions for sale: "just tell me what u want and a price and ill do it" to which I responded with for a $10 traditional commission request. After providing my character reference and commission details they gave me their paypal address and responded "ill get started when im on break", and "and i cant start until paid btw :)" to which I immediately paid $10 for. Up until now, all of this had occurred within one day on February 19, 2020. After I sent the payment, we had casual conversation about their fursuit and our dogs, which does not have much relevance here. My next communication with the seller was on March 10, 2020: I sent another Telegram DM "Hey there. Have you had a chance to work on the pwyw I had paid for a little bit ago?" to which they responded "no- i ned to make a trello. my commission list is so big atm xD. cuz i opened a ton of like $1 headshots". This was no big deal to me, it wasn't even a month since I purchased the commission and they seemed to have taken in a lot of other commissions at the time. On March 11, 2020 they reached out to me, "To all of my commissioners: its been super hard to keep on schedule so i have decided to make a trello 🙂 please send your ref(s) and what you purchased at your earliest convinience so i can add you to my trello, hope to satisfy you with my work soon - Connor~!" and I immediately resent my reference sheet along with the details that I paid for a $10 pwyw commission. On April 10, 2020 I sent the seller a screenshot of our previous telegram history of the initial 2/19/20 communication to which they replied "ty" On May 2, 2020 I replied to my 4/10/20 message asking "Any update on this? If you can't do it can you just refund me the $10?" to which they responded "i cant as that was my exs paypal. and he took it over" This was the last time that I spoke with the seller. To this day (Currently 06/08/21) I have gotten neither commission or a refund. In short, the seller made a solicitation in a public Telegram chat and I requested a $10 commission on 02/19/20 which I paid that day. Months went by with no commission despite me asking about it every once in awhile, and on 05/02/20 I requested a final update or a refund to which the seller said they could not do because the paypal that I sent the money to was not theirs and the actual owner locked them out. I never got a commission or a refund. Relevant images of the discussions I had with this seller and paypal transaction history are shown below. I censored out the seller's paypal address for the purpose of this posting.:
  21. Originally contacted on December 10, 2014: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6331414/#cid:43439341 Payment supplied on December 19, 2014: Originally paid for a 2 character picture, have currently been waiting almost 7 years with limit contact from the artist. Every time contact has been attempted I am either met with excuses or stories of troubling life events (Which I can understand to a degree). Although I believe I have been patient with the artist, I personally feel it is unacceptable to have taken my money and not provide any updates on what is happening. Since initial contact the artist has taken on other commission work AND finished them in a timely fashion while I am left waiting. They have also bounced around to different websites (Initial contact was on FurAffinity. They have also been spotted opening commissions through twitter in very recent times). I have managed to have recent contact with them through Telegram, and have even agreed on a different image as they had "lost" the WIP they had made for me. Agreed image would be 1 less character, so what would be regarded as an image of less cost from what I originally paid for. Since the agreement I have tried to keep in contact with the artist to attempt to make sure that there is frequent communication but have so far not even had my messages read, even though telegram states they have been active. I would have more conversation logs, however since the length of time I have waited for the artist, most of the chatlogs on FA have disappeared and Skype has become a thing of the distant past.
  22. I commissioned Coyot a year ago on Feb 8th, 2020 to draw a full body painting for $80, I tipped +$5 for a total of $85. Initially, I spoke to them through their now defunct twitter account Coyot_Tea, but they have a new and active account called Cyo0t3. I paid them promptly on Feb 8, 2020. They acknowledged payment received and that's when the delays started happening. I did ask for a refund on Feb 13, 2021, a year later, but they said they couldn't because they already started the work. They stopped responding on March 24, 2021. There seems to be several Artists Beware on their Coyot_Tea username but they made a new account under Cyo0t3. I have also tried reaching them through that account but to no avail. They are still active on Coy0t3. I received zero WIPs and have already filed a case with PayPal. It's been a year so unsure if PayPal can do anything but fingers crossed.
  23. I commissioned Angela on Furry Amino for a chibi fullbody on a base on the 4th of March 2021. The commissioned was $8. I lost the original thread of messages (their messages) since their profile was banned on Furry Amino. When a profile/account gets banned, all their messages get deleted as well. I sent payment on March 4 to Angela (payment receipt below). After a while, I try to reach ask her for more progress (if any), and whether my commission was completed yet. This was when I found out that their profile has been banned. Since their profile was banned, I tried emailing them on the PayPal email I sent the money to, but there was no response on the email (at the time). So, I asked a curator (a staff of Furry Amino) if I could take a look at their profile to see what other social media they're on, and they gave me a screenshot of their profile. I noticed that in their bio, there is a text that says "angxlavex" (the fancy text). I tried looking on different sites, and found that they are mostly active on toyhou.se, so I sent them a message. I sent her a message on 13 May, saying that she still owes me a $8 chibi. I asked her for a refund because so far, it seems like she wasn't going to complete the commission at all. 😞 She then replied (quite promptly) saying that she doesn't "have the toyhou.se usernames of everyone who had commissioned me", even though I never received any kind of contact from her (she never tried to reach out to me on my email on paypal, or literally anywhere else.. my username is 2DFIEND on every site btw). I replied, saying that surely she would have a list somewhere? And I asked for a refund, but she ghosted me, even though she already opened the message. They have opened and (I assume) read my message asking for a refund- if she hasn't opened my message, the text would be pink. I sent her another message on May 19, which basically has the same contents as the image above (asking for a refund, transaction ID and date). The message that was sent on May 19 is pink, which means she hasn't read it while the other one, she has opened it. Within the same hour of sending that message, she read my message, but still, no reply. They changed their username from angxlavex to inactiveaccont as of 18/5/2021: Update on the email as of 25/5/2021: I got a reply back on the email that was attached to the PayPal account, and I was told that Angela was not the owner of the account, and that the actual owner (the person emailing me back) has been letting Angela use it. He also told me his name (blue) and Angela's real name (pink), I blocked them all out for privacy. Proof that https://www.facebook.com/angela.vexx and https://www.facebook.com/purr.via is the same person as angxlavex on toyhou.se- the first two screenshots show that the same artwork was posted to toyhou.se within a week of each other. With the other two screenshots, angxlavex posted the EDITED version on her toyhou.se way back in February, and Purr Via used the unedited version as her profile picture on 19 May, and also has a copy of the unwatermarked image of the edited version. TLDR; I commissioned Angela, waited for 2+ months, they gave me no updates and they ended up getting banned on Furry Amino. I tried to reach out to her on toyhou.se (because she made 0 effort to try and look for me), and I asked her for her a refund but she changed her toyhou.se username, and didn't reply to my message even though she opened it. Basically, she ran away after I asked for a refund.
  24. Epilepsy warning: This usser made kidcore/webcore stuff, so lot of shiny things Okay, im kinda nervous and i hope i made this right. On September 6th, i asked NekoB0mb on their da about the prices of their customs. We come to an agreement and they give me their discord to talk about how i wanted the customs, originally they were 2. On discord i tell em i want 3 more and they agree, so i send the payment. They answered me and there wasnt any problem. I asked for updates each month, and they answered me, telling me they have exams or things like that. Agreement of two customs for 150 points each one and to pm them on discord Payment of points, it has two screen since later on discord, i tell them i wanted 3 more Description of how i wanted the customs, and kinda proof of them deleting their discord( it doesn't appear their ussername) Some months later, they desactivate their account on da, and delate their discord, thay were erasing their stuff on th. I panicked and send a message to someone they frecuently commissioned them. Who tell me they were in a difficult situation and that i didnt worry, that my comm will be make. So i waited. And time later they reactivate accounts. On ends of march i send them a message via th, and they tell me to contact them again via discord on a new one. So i did. And asked them if they have a problem with the comm they can cancel and give me a refund or that i can wait, i also asked if they had a waitlist. Contacting them after they desactivate their media and giving some time to rest, asking for update or refund if they cant do it. They answered me, they have wips of two of them. They telling me to contact them on discord to show me the wips and that. Me telling them that day and some days later i pm them. They ghost me for weeks. Time later i discovered they had instagram and i pm them about wanting a refund there sending the proof of the agreement and payment. And they continue ghosting me. They continue active on th and opening commissions on instagram and making some adopts. Me pming them about the customs and asking if they have trello/waitlist And being ghosted Contacting them on instagram, telling them that they tell me to pm them but they never answered, showing them proof it was me, and being ghosted again. Now on may, they got the last of my patience, i asked again about a refund on their the profile since they didn't answer any pm message i sent. And they erased the comment i put on their th. So some hours later i asked again telling them that please stop ghosting me, and how cynic is to make a post about being upset about being ghosted when they are doing the same. Time later two of their friends answered me with a low bad joke. Telling me they were dead/killed. I would have believe them if it wasn't by the fact that the user erased my comment and that they continually post and interacted with other commenters. Also that their kind of fun is like that inbetween them. Feel kind of immature. Contacting them on the comments for second time after the first comment was erased , telling them i wanted a refund becouse of the time with no updates and ghosting. And stuff of them accepting more comms and they need to have a better communication.
  25. Early in November someone I followed on twitter posted some art by an anonymous artist. Goopy approached me claiming she was the artist and after some back and forth I ended up commissioning her for a ref sheet totaling just over $68 USD/$85 CAD. Sadly my twitter account has been suspended so the initial conversation has been lost. During the first few days after payment she was actually quick with responses and actually proved a few WiPs, even giving some insight on changing some character details This was the last update on the order since I paid her A while later and after a bit of small talk I bring it up with her again as it's been a four months at this point. She was facing some personal issues at the time which I excused believing it would be resolved in time. Two more months pass by and yet again I ask if there has been any progress since then, I get yet another reasoning as to why she hasn't been working on it with an issue that I would have thought could have been resolved by the next day After that I was getting a bit frustrated and just decided to ask for a refund, she's since then still hasn't replied to me. What's even more aggravating is knowing she's doing fine and well, as she's been streaming on twitch up to 5 hours a day on some days. Mod note: Twitch cap removed because it was difficult to read and too large. But it was here. At the current time of this it's been six months since I've paid her, and I can no longer go through paypal to dispute the charge. I know there's another beware of this artist here already and really just hoping more people can be aware before she starts accepting more money from people.
