About Me

  1. I also have been dealing with similar issues with this maker. I commissioned wings and a bird tail for a head I have from a different maker, and paid it off to FInley months ago. I was promised progress pics, but have not seen any. I have reached out to the maker multiple times, and met with no response. They don't even appear to be reading my Telegram messages. After seeing this thread, I contacted Paypal. This is getting crazy! As a side note, during the time I was making payments, Finley didn't appear to be keeping track of how much I had paid. They even asked if I could send a bigger payment at the very end, and I reminded them that what I had just paid was all I owed, and that I was finished paying it off. Super concerned, hearing that they lie to Paypal. I don't want to be cheated out of money!
  2. Client was terminated from an Artistic Liberty quote before payment was made since the changes requested by them on the concept provided during the first contact were not interesting for the studio production at the time and the unpaid design created during quote was kept by the studio, as described on the TOS agreed by said client during the application process. Link to our TOS Client tried to continue the application process but we already sent the email terminating it and we didn't felt it was necessary to proceed contact, since no invoices were sent and no further agreements were made - at that stage we already let the client know that the design created for that commission would stay under the studio property. Weeks after said client decided to public harass our studio on our own posts on Instagram and after being blocked on multiple accounts for doing so, started to spread misinformation about our TOS, the commission process and also decided to claim the unpaid design as their own under claims that goes against the TOS agreed on before the design was sent to them. We sent a private message to the third account and by that time it felt like the situation was under control. The harassment continued the next day with another account claiming the studio stole the client OC, tagging other clients and spreading more half truths and accusations. The studio posted a public note via Instagram stories to spread awareness on the information and also decided to share on beware groups what happened. One of our followers let us know the client still insists on spreading false information and we decided to enlighten the situation public posting everything here. These are the accounts that continued harassing us and our clients/followers: @wetsnobblobb < has posted the stories spreading misinformation @foolish.adopts < has harassed us on posts @beesandcubs < first account to start online harassment [Moderator Note: A 4th IG that was harassing OP exists, but the account is held by someone underaged so we have censored it out.] That user is claiming that the art is stolen and that our character sheet bases are also stolen fro] third party, which is a blatant lie since our lead artist has all the files and recipes to prove that all the art was created by us and belong to Alecrim Carmim brand. To clarify any half truths shared by the accounts listed before: - Our art is 100% designed by our lead artist. We have all the files and proof of the authenticity of our creations, designs and production; - We never ghost any client; in that specific case, we simply terminate the commission and sent an email informing the client on said termination and reason (the project was not interesting for production at that time); - No designs were stolen from the client; in fact, our design is being claimed without payment by said client under accusations that "since the mood board and directions were given, the character belongs to them”; said claim goes straight against our TOS (that was agreed on BEFORE the commission process even began by the client); - No invoices were sent to the client before the commission termination. Not the 30% from the commission process nor any amount of money was received from the client by Alecrim Carmim. Preparing / being ready to pay does not mean actually making a payment. We always ask for future clients multiple times to read AND agree with our TOS before moving forward with the commission process. For our sake and for the sake of our current clients and followers, we’re deleting that design made for that specific commission from our social media and premade library. We do not stand for harassment and we do not want to associate with the illegal usage of our intellectual property, no matter the claims. We're a positive brand that try our best to avoid that kind of drama, but sadly some of that might hit our way once or twice in our studio development. For that reason, we decided to expose the situation and upload a client beware so our fellow makers have some feedback on said client for future reference. All the relevant screencaps are attached to this message. The art itself is being used without credit and the Client is claiming the design to be their character. In addition, the Client attempted to sell the design, using the full original, unpaid artwork in the advertisement on May 9th
  3. I have no horse in either of these races, but I've been following along and this is what I see: The reference images were bad. No doubt about that. Not only are the markings all over the place, but the image where shes on the hood of the car clearly has a lot larger muzzle and larger, curved ears than the more ref sheet design. If you didn't tell me that these are the same character then I wouldn't think they were. I might struggle to say they are the same species. If they were going more off the second image than the first, I can clearly see why they would use a more mousey base for the head. The ears and muzzle clearly make more sense. Honestly I would have paid for a professional fursuit ref rather than a normal character ref and some images. The less said about the lion king recolour, the better. I think there was a big lack of trust on camarofurry's part. From all the emails I have seen and read, little thought is given to compromise or actually working WITH the artist. I know you paid a lot of money, but when you commission another person for something, you need to work with them because, chances are, they know a lot better than you what they are doing. I think jumping to conclusions about the head and tail were big mistakes. The curved one is clearly more optimal for moving about in a real world environment. It might not be as true to the character as you want but, again, you need to make compromises and work with the artist. I've seen a lot of people say "Why didn't Lemonbrat cancel and refund if they couldn't do it?" but I think thats a bad attitude to have. I think Lemonbrat was confident that they could deliver what the customer asked for to start, so they agreed. By the time issues in production started cropping up the item was already 100% paid and they had spent work hours and materials on it. Lemonbrat has people and bills to pay. Its not easy to take a hit of $3600 PLUS cost of materials PLUS cost of paying the artists the hours of work wasted. By the time there were big problems, it was probably a better move financially to push ahead and try to deliver a good product. Now, the finished suit itself. There are clearly problems with it but I think its less an issue to do with poor quality work and more to do with the materials used. Lots of words have been typed about the seams and the way the tail is attached. I think we can all agree that such a big tail is going to put strain on that fabric. It needs a firm base to be attached to. It does look bad, I agree, and maybe something can be done to sort it, but I honestly think this was probably the best idea they had at the time. The fact it was being modeled by somebody shorter than the suit was designed for probably didn't help matters either. As the for the seams: They are always going to be here, regardless. The fur just isn't deep pile enough to hide them. I don't really see an issue with either them or the zipper. Its a costume, at the end of the day. Its gonna have seams and honestly I can understand why the zip is so prominent. I don't quite know what the commissioner was expecting zip wise. I don't think either side is blameless, but I think Lemonbrat was trying their best to work in a hard situation. There are always going to be difficult customers and you do your best to make them happy. I think there was a big issue of clashing ideas and both sides thought they knew better than the other. I understand why they won't give a refund for the reasons listed above, but I am glad to see they are trying to make fixes to the suit. I'm not sure what resolution would make camarofurry happy as she is clearly not getting her money back, but I hope she at least grows to like the suit once its in her hands despite the bad experience.
  4. So, first off, you filed this artist beware dating it 12/12/2018 however your first payment was in december of 2018? you state it was late 2018 that the problems occured, however its only recently that problems have developed second, you have started a gofund me prior to resolving it with the seller. third you understand do to the lion king ref you have to modify the suit due to copyright. fourth short pile fur is gunna show everything, and depending on body size and type its fitted as close to you as possible. fifth you are crying foul and rallying people to a cause because you are not happy trying to get a refund and gofund me is a double standard. according to your monthly payments it seems like you had to take time to pay for it then have it rushed for a international con??? sixth before acting like an entitled and expect VIP treatment it seems theyve done theyre best to accommodate you and work with you. 7th the cost of materials has risen so high do to the US's current trade tarrifs that materials ezpecially synth furs are 15-25% higher so its obvious sellers will adjust and protect themselves both in TOS and cost. ALSO i feel like you are not divulging all the information regarding this issue?
  5. So I've gotten a suit from Lemonbrat and they have been nothing but kind and courteous and prompt with their responses. This to me looks like buyer's remorse. The images you provided make it seem like you were contacted in March about your due date and work had started on the suit in June. Which you received wips for. Where are the rest of the emails from them? In order to clear the air I would provide them. Tmk Lemonbrat doesn't make changes unless it's requested by the customer. They send wip pictures and you need to approve them before more work is done on the suit. They have their customers choose the fur colors, they even send swatches. So that's on you. The fur looks like short pile fur, maybe sable or seal, it wrinkles. It's gonna happen with shorter furs. You're going to see seams unless you're using lux or another long pile fur. Lemonbrat has a team of people who work on these suits, I have met several of them and they're always super friendly. You sound like an awful customer. You provided a ref from the lion king first off. You need consistent reference images. Looking at the main one the tail is curved. Have you seen a big cat like a panther? Their tails naturally have a curve so they don't drag on the ground. I don't see the airbrushing you speak of, to be fair I see absolutely nothing that would suggest it was airbrushed at all. It all looks like fur and shadows of fur in the images.
  6. Jan. 19th, 2012 at 7:43 PM punkspacewafers I posted a "lost contact" about this user a while ago, it can be found here: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/549356.html WHO: Feltified WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/feltified/ http://www.etsy.com/people/Feltified?ref=pr_profile WHAT: A commission for some felted Pokemon. On August 30th 2011 I messaged Feltified after being referred by a friend, and completely fell in love with their creations. I instantly sent a note asking about commissions, as seen in the first screencap below. The entire conversation can be read. After the second screencap, I haven't heard from them since. I've sent 5-6 notes on FA and some shouts on their page and even a couple of Etsy messages, but it seems they just read my notes and don't respond. PROOF: Convo 1 (Read from top down) Payment Convo 2 What's changed from last time: I've sent a few more messages, however this time they have gone unread in the FA outbox. It seems as though they are ignoring me completely. I also sent a couple of messages on Etsy, which I KNOW they're active on, due to the most recent feedback left. seen here: http://www.etsy.com/people/Feltified/feedback?type=for_others I'm changing the status from "lost contact" to "Beware."

She does not take more than she can handle and has always been able to produce wonderful art in a timely manner. I've never been disappointed. Name: Sera 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sera 3. A regular commission-ee since 2009 ? 4. Sera is always super clear with describing what she wants me to draw and is a pleasure to draw for. ? Incredibly kind and thoughtful. I look forward to taking her commissions. 1. Name: Fuzzypaws 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/fuzzypaws/ 3. Has commissioned me both in person at a convention and a few times online since 2009 4. Shiro (Fuzzypaws) has always given me fun scenarios to draw for him, and has tipped me, which I am very grateful for. He was very kind about a perspective-based commission I didn't think I would do well with, and adjusted a commission idea slightly so I was still confident about doing it ? 1. Name: Arinmal 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/arinmal 3. Has commissioned me a few times since 2010 4. So polite and thankful, I am grateful to have had the pleasure of drawing for him. Very considerate and patient guy, wasn't impatient in the least when I had a bit of a delay getting his 8-character commission finished. Super nice guy ? There are so, so many more people I want to mention - I don't think I've ever had a -bad- commission experience. I wish I could name each of them ? These are just a few people that came to mind. Thank you guys ❤️ koisnake Apr. 6th, 2011 06:36 pm (local) 1. Name: A-chan Creations 2. Link: http://chao-fangirl.deviantart.com/ 3. Time Frame: I commissioned her back in October 2009, more or less, and received the plushies I've commissioned on February 15, 2011. However, the reason for the huge gap is explained below ? 4. Details: The plushies I've received (Klonoa, Guntz, Chipple, and Pyramid Head) were all made beautifully and personality. The seams were neat, the details were accurate, and they were the perfect size. I love them to bits! When commissioning her, I got a late with a few payments due to my job giving me less hours (this is the reason for the gap) but she was extremely patient and pushed my plushies to the end of her list to give me enough time to finish paying. She did not need to do this, but I cannot thank her enough for being patient and understanding about the payment troubles. Definitely recommended! latiro Apr. 6th, 2011 06:56 pm (local) Superb artist: fetalstar now THAT is what I've been waiting for! 1. Name: fetalstar 2. Link: her FA her website 3. Kacey 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kacey/ 3. January 2011 4. She was so prompt and polite! I asked for changes to the original sketch, she did them quickly without any questions, and the finished product is literally one of my favorite commissions I've ever received. It's gorgeous and even better in person. The way it was shipped made it practically indestructible, very above and beyond on the packaging of the original. I also got a badge from her (its not uploaded to her page yet) and it was stunningly beautiful, and came ready-to-wear with clip and everything. She is so professional! I absolutely adore this one commission I got from her oraien Apr. 6th, 2011 07:12 pm (local) Zyden Zyden is a super artist and definitely deserves some recognition for having awesome work and being awesome to work with. Zyden @ DA Commissioned in early March. The work is professional and frankly amazing in its depth and color and how it's all put together. I haven't seen anything quite as breath-taking as her eye-cons, for the price and with the level of professionalism that she puts into her work. A slightly larger version of my eye-con (and icon!) can be found here if you'd like a peek. She's wonderful to work with and has a great manner as well. The commission was quick and painless and I'm still amazed at how gorgeous it turned out! filthy_animal Apr. 6th, 2011 08:46 pm (local) Synchra Synchra synchra, aka "synchra" on FA. n_n Business was done this month, and previously~ I assume it's okay to mention this-- I purchased two of her adoptables and received the larger file for both within about 12-24 hours of payment (bought at separate times). She is really friendly and her quality of work is very professional. I have also had an art trade with her in the past (which I admittedly need to finish my half for, good lord I am slow) and I was more than impressed with the quality she brought me (see my current icon for this comment-- thats her work!). n.n I would totally recommend her-- she does a lot of concept work for characters, ref sheets, and icons. ❤️ jibacoil Apr. 6th, 2011 09:38 pm (local) p3nsive Pensive on FA. I commissioned a couple of icons from Pensive on March 25th. They were done within a couple days and they're super cute! Pensive is definitely on my list of people I would commission again. Midori 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/midori8 3. Early this year.Recieved in time for my bowling meet on march 6th 4. I had a commision go wrong and Midori was willing to do a refurb on the head I commished from anouther maker. She agreed to $150 for the refurb but after takeing it apart she realized it was alot more work than expected. Atleast $300 worth of work but she wouldn't take a cent more. She was pleasent to work with, communication was great and she produced a super product for me. She gained a forever customer and a friend. Heres the finished product and I couldn't love it more! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5414145 spiffystuff Apr. 7th, 2011 08:40 pm (local) 1. Bonez 2. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bonez 3.
