Up until this summer I watched her on FA to keep an eye out for my commission. From when she was paid, until I asked for my refund, the only artwork she uploaded were various other “inky” commissions, adoptables, and some full colors in between. Today (Nov 21, 2011) I was going to attempt to contact her again but discovered she had blocked me from sending her notes. To me, this looked like she was trying to get rid of a ‘problem’ without resolving it. However I wanted to still see if she had some reasoning behind this. So asked for some assistance from a friend to message her on my behalf. I have blotched out her name because she wants to remain anonymous for the time being. She claims that I attacked her in my note asking for a refund. I admit that my note was quite snippy though. Yuuri Reply #2: http://i.imgur.com/kwtru.png This is where she is really starting to lie. I never swore at her, and in my opinion I don’t think I was that aggressive. I was unhappy, and I believe I was being quite polite. Apparently she disagrees. Edit: Two new notes have been added. At the first reply wasn't very relevant up until Yuuri responded to my friend in an additional note. However, Yuuri has gone from saying that I swore at her in my note to her to 'that's just how I took it and how I felt'. This is very different from what she initially was saying. That is all I have. My name is Electricfox777 on furaffinity.net The deal for the four pics by Sarcatsic were agreed upon on Jan. 21st and paid for on Feb. 5th as can be observed by the screenshot timeline I’ve posted above. After the first pic was completed on Feb. 16th, Ideas were given for the backgrounds of the second, third, and fourth pics. The second pic was proposed finished on March 30th and a small edit was requested added to the pic. The second and third pics were completed and delivered on April 2nd. After that I received no contact from Sarcatsic at all, despite sending her one note a month asking for an update on the final pic. She received and read my notes and comments but never answered me back. By July I was beginning to get a bit aggravated at being completely ignored so I left a shout on her page, as well as a comment in a journal she posted advertising commissions. Still no word came from Sarcatsic until October 9th where she claimed that the receipt she has only shows that I paid for three pics, so three was all she did. I was surprised that she replied at all, but to have such a blatant lie told annoyed me to no end. So I posted a screen shot of my own receipt, showing that I had paid her in full for all four pics, and told her that just because she “believed” me to have only paid for three pics, it doesn’t explain why I’ve been ignored all these months. She replies simply “That's not what mine say, but whatever, here. Take it.” Now in truth I could have left it alone there, but I did not like the pic I was given. As patient as I had been. I did not feel I deserved a half assed pic thrown at me to get me off of her case. But instead of complaining further, I ask for a simple edit. I asked that the eyes and grin of the shadow be added into the pic. She doesn’t respond, and after four days I send her a polite thank you for honoring the arrangement and doing the pic for me. But I also tell her that the wait and being ignored for months was unacceptable and that I’d be posting an A_B against her for these things. She responds with a spiteful note telling me how ungrateful and unprofessional a person and commissioner I am, how I never treated her with any respect, and how I asked for edit after edit to the pics she did for me. I’ll admit I am far from perfect, but you can decide for yourself whether her rant was warranted. The issue may be closed, but I leave this post to warn others who may commission her in the future what I had to go through, and by extension, what they may go through commissioning her. I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up about this guy. He won a pinup auction from me on November 9th, which was to be finished that same night. He first insists that we discuss the commission via messenger, which is against my policy for personal reasons. He claimed he wanted to be sure we were on the same page and that I got it perfect. I let him know that I've never had trouble following instructions through email, and his request was so simple (going so far as to send me a pose reference he wanted me to basically copy) there was no possible way for me to screw it up. I told him that if he really wanted, I could stream it for him. Which I did, and finished the piece in under three hours. He was pleased with it, so I then posted it to FA. My TOS states that by commissioning me, the commissioner is giving me the right to post the image where I like, and that they in turn have my permission to post the work on their own page, as long as they give me credit and post a link to my page. At around 7am EST on Nov 11, my significant other noticed on the front page of FA, that he had uploaded the piece. Only he had added huge black text with his "copyright" info, and a giant SAMPLE across the character. I was kind of annoyed about that, but since this was the first time I've ever had to deal with anybody altering a work I've done for them, I had not covered that situation in my TOS. But he also hadn't credited me in the description. So I made a polite comment requesting that he credit me and upload the unaltered image instead. He hid my comment. So I made another, telling him not to ignore me, and to please respect my wishes or remove the image from his page. I made a journal to state my displeasure, not once calling him by name. Then he posted a journal about how nobody was allowed to post any artwork of his "copyrighted" character anymore, or he'd sue them, then posted the link to that journal on the submission in my gallery. Hilarity ensued. He had again uploaded that same altered version, AGAIN without giving me credit. This time he had in the description about how he had to remove it from FA because I had a fit about him uploading it (without mentioning my name). I contacted IB support and had the image removed with no fuss. Again, the situation seems to be resolved for now, until he decides to post the image again, which I have revoked all rights to him being allowed to post anywhere due to his douchebaggery. If you happen to see the image in question uploaded anywhere with his copyright on it, please let me know, and report it if you can. I'm posting it here on A_B because some people have suggested I do so. I would suggest not taking work from this guy unless you like dealing with a childish whiner who will disrespect your art and then threaten you with legal action. Why: Not a clue! Added at Nov 12, 14:00 EST: This has now escalated to the point where he has posted a threatening shout on my FA page (which I have left there to make a point), and trying to reverse the charges on Paypal, which I hope to god they don't take his side, or I'll be on the phone with them. Commissions are my sole income. I don't screw around with this. He has also since nuked his FA account and all the comments he made on my submission, so you're really only seeing half the conversations now. I hope my notes screenshots suffice. Added on Nov 14, 14:14 EST: Some people have started accusing me of acting childish and immature in dealing with this, and that because of that, they think I will lose respect, watchers, and commissions. You are all entitled to your opinions of course, but please realize that in actuality, I have had many people come to me in comment and note and tell me that because of how I handled the situation, they WOULD commission me, so I am seeing the opposite results. I'm sorry if it looks like I have an attitude, but I can assure you that unless you plan to act as this commissioner did, you'd have very little, if any trouble commissioning me. I am very easygoing and friendly, and this is a very extreme case. Ask anybody else who has ever gotten work from me. And so I do not have to keep responding to the six hour thing (the wait between my comment on his submission and my first journal about respect): "Six hours after posting a comment on their page, may or may not have been enough time. My concept of time is skewed, given that my "days" don't end (I'm polyphasic), so what feels like days to me might actually only be six or seven hours because I've already "slept" two or three times. I concede that that I could have waited a little longer, but I honestly doubt it would have made any difference, as I'm pretty sure he hadn't read the journal before hiding the comment. I have no proof, but I gathered as much from the way he responded to me." But in the end, if you still don't like my attitude for whatever reason, enough that you think I warrant a beware of my own, by all means post a topic about me instead of shifting the blame around in this one, which is a totally warranted beware against the commissioner, and my reason for posting here. I can assure you that had not posted here, and if any of you who claim now that my attitude has put you off from commissioning me had been watching me prior to this but was somehow unaware of this situation, you either would have a) not commissioned me based on my general personality anyway b) commissioned me and had a fine experience, because I treat my commissioners with the respect they give me, and I am fairly certain you are all respectable to artists when buying artwork. So please. I absolutely get the picture that I come off as immature to some of you. That horse has been beaten, and unless my personal watchers/commissioners express displeasure with the way I conduct myself, then I will continue to conduct myself as I have been for the last decade of doing commissions, as it has not been hurting me.

I have sent her several private messages over LJ and have not gotten anything back. The paypal screen that shows that I sent the 70 bucks, 50 for the head and tail and 20 for shipping (which I thought was way too much but I wasn't about to argue too much about it) EXPLAIN: Honestly there isn't too much to say. I spoke with the person the night that they offered the head, but I have not heard from them afterwards. I know they said that they were moving and that was why they wanted to money that night, so I sent them the money that night, because they wanted to send it before they moved. Nov. 7th, 2011 at 9:21 AM crssafox WHO: FuziBuni WHERE: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal.com/2166964.html (original post is screen capped in case of deletion or editing) WHAT: A large remnant of golden coyote faux fur - when received, it had a very heavy distinctly animal smell to it. WHEN: Early October (currently ongoing) PROOF: I got no reply after this email, so I posted a comment in the original LJ post, since I'd seen she'd been active on LJ and FA, hoping she'd get that. I still got no response, so I sent another e-mail. EXPLAIN: I bought a large remnant of faux fur from close to retail price from FuziBuni earlier in October, with the intent of using it to make tails for sale. October is usually incredibly busy for me sales-wise, and I'm always getting asked for wolf tails, so when I saw FuziBuni was selling some fabric I had been eyeballing over at I'm Stuffed, I decided to help her clear out her closet and make a little extra cash. When I received the box, immediately upon opening there was a heavy animal odor. Upon inspection, the odor was coming from the fabric itself. I let the fabric sit outside on my patio table for a while to air out, and later asked both my husband and my roommate if they could detect the odor as well, since I sometimes have a sensitive nose and I wanted to be sure it wasn't something that just I could smell. They agreed there was definitely an animal scent, so I made attempts at cleaning the fur, including washing in a side-loading washing machine (twice), dousing with Nature's Miracle cat formula, air-drying in the dryer, and letting it hang outdoors to try and air out there. It still maintains the smell. I e-mailed FuziBuni after all of my attempts to remove the odor, but didn't receive a reply. The next day I posted a comment in the original fursuit_auctions thread to notify her that I'd sent her an e-mail, and still got no reply. Finally, I sent her a second e-mail and told her that if I heard nothing back, I would be opening a PayPal dispute, and finally heard back from her. She claimed to have no idea how the scent could have gotten onto the fabric, and suggested it may have been sprayed by a cat while in transit. (I had her ship it to my public address, at a shipping store that receives packages for me so they don't sit outside, so unless a cat got into a postal warehouse or onto a truck, I don't see how this would have been possible.) I replied to let her know that, because of the odor, I feel the fabric is not usable for me, since my intent had been to create new-for-sale items with it. I told her I was open to various options to work this out, including sending it back if she'd refund the $40 (the total less what she paid for shipping) so she could try re-selling it, or perhaps a partial refund in which I would keep the fabric but use it on something else that would not be sold, most likely a dog pillow. Truth be told, the fur itself is in nice condition despite the smell, so if someone were to use it on a personal project or for something not being sold as a brand new item, it might be okay. So while I would have preferred the $40 refund, I would have worked something else out, too. In response, I was told that she didn't have the money to do any kind of a refund, and that she would have to sell other items in order to send me any money. She also wondered if the smell could have been from the plastic aging funny. I let her know that the odor was distinctly animal, and that I needed some kind of resolution by November 4 or I would have to open a PayPal dispute due to the time constraints. I never heard from FuziBuni again after that, despite her continuing to be active online. Finally, on the evening of the 4th, I opened a PayPal dispute under the premise that the item received was not as described - there had been no disclosure of the heavy animal smell in the original listing. As of yet, she has not replied via PayPal's resolution center, nor has she sent any e-mails. It would appear my requests for resolution are just being ignored. At this point, the only resolution I want is a full refund, including what I initially paid for shipping, and to return the fabric to FuziBuni for her to deal with as she sees fit. I not only wasted my time during my busiest month in an effort to salvage the fabric, I've also lost revenue I could have earned had I just bought the fabric brand new in the first place, as my biggest window for selling the wolf tails I'd planned to make has passed since Halloween has come and gone. I understand that there was a minor risk involved when buying fur second-hand from someone that states they own animals. However, not only do I own animals, but I've also purchased from others that own animals before, and have never had this kind of a problem. "I own animals" doesn't necessarily mean that the fabric is going to contain an odor - had it been disclosed from the beginning that this fabric had an animal smell to it, I never would have purchased it, most certainly not for the like-new price. I feel I did my best to work things out with her at this point, but I really can't afford to donate money to someone in exchange for a large piece of fabric I can't even use. Edit: As of 2:28, FuziBuni has initiated a refund via PayPal and it is set to clear on the 14th. Once it clears I will send the fur back to her, and edit this post as well as notify the mods of resolution. Edit 11/17/11: The refund cleared via PayPal on Monday. I boxed the fur back up to return to FuziBuni, and it was sent out via postal service with delivery confirmation yesterday morning. Edit 11/22/11: My delivery confirmation reflects that the box was delivered yesterday, so the return is complete and I'm considering this matter to be resolved. I would urge others to use caution when dealing with Fuzibuni; I had absolutely zero direct communication from her from the time that I initiated the dispute, to the time the refund was sent and cleared, save for the comment she made immediately after this post went through. I'm glad that other folks have received furs from her in good condition - I really wish that she'd been open and communicated with me instead of ignoring attempts to work things out outside of a dispute.

My name disappeared from the owed-art list, so I asked about it. 7: Screen shot of shouts: X EXPLAIN: In response to a question about whether or not she took commissions for a certain style of feral art she was doing, I asked if she would be willing to trade since she was unable to take commissions. She was very receptive to the idea (1). She sent me a note with what she wanted (2), and I replied with what I wanted. During the next several months, I changed the species of what I wanted and sent her notes to update her with new references. Each time she replied positively and said she hadn't started on it yet. (5) While this was going on, she had my name on her list of 'people she owed art'. Since I was on her to do list I wasn't terribly worried about it. Between the time that I had finished my half (4) and now, she has drawn dozens of personal art pieces and commissions. Commissions are important and should come first, so those I'm not terribly worried about. However, in my perspective, if I owe half of an art trade, that takes priority over numerous personal pieces. I noticed today, after seeing another of her submissions in my messages and going to her page, that my name has vanished from her owed-art list. I ask about it (7) and receive a (rather strange) response. At no point prior to her response was I contacted and told that she was not going to follow through with her half. Today is the first I even heard about this, and it was not agreed upon by both parties. EDIT: She has contacted me asking what I would like to have drawn, but also says it may take a while due to a lot of things going on in her life. Will post updates as they come. Rumor being, she never cited it until she was called out for tracing it. I believe she's learned from this whole experience and won't turn back to tracing or taking shortcuts again. Whether her apology really is legitimate or not, the important part is she won't be foolish enough to rip people off again, especially now that people are being weary and watchful over her gallery. I didn't mean for this thing to blow up as big as it did, but I felt it was my responsibility to bring all of this to everyone's attention. EXPLAIN: A concerned user had notified me of a commission Dipper had uploaded to FurAffinity. They said it looked like a trace of a livestream doodle I had done for a friend some time ago. I was skeptical until I saw the over-lay (shown in Example1). After some word had spread about her trace, she was quick to delete every comment left on her FA account regarding this issue. Example 2 was presented by someone who read about the news of Dipper's tracing. All of this has made me feel rather stupid and gullible for taking part in one of Dipper's own charity auctions (Shaytalis paid her $100 for winning my slot, which is no small amount). I actually felt sorry for her. She seemed to be someone with the worst luck in the world, but at this point I no longer feel sorry for her about anything. If she's as emotionally flustered as she claims to be, she probably shouldn't be taking on commissions if it's affecting her business practices like this (unless her commissioners enjoy being lied to and ripped off). I had considered posting this to art_theft, but felt it more fitting to post here considering she's been doing this for commission money. Dipper is an artist I really liked until today. I may be more sore about this than others since it's my art she's been stealing, but what she's done is still rather messed up.

I had asked Bambiboo3 prior to bidding if she would ship internationally and she said no. Thus I asked if she would ship this to my very good friend of many years who lives in NC, she agreed, and I placed a bid. My intention from there was to either take a trip over soon and collect the partial or arrange for it to be delivered myself, either way, I made clear to Bambiboo3 that the final part of the delivery would be entirely my responsibility. This isn't really relevant to the beware at all but it might clear up any confusion. Here are photos of the package: NB: anything linking to address details has been edited out, as has Bambiboo3's surname as I have not seen this posted publicly. EXPLAIN: On October 12th I won Bambiboo3's auction for a premade fursuit head and tail over on Furbuy. I emailed her asking for a quote on shipping, which she told me would be $35, for a total of $435. I Paypal'd over $435. She replies to me stating that: "you forgot to add the paypal charges so it came in $17.27 short. If you dont mind sending that last bit that would be great" I was a little taken aback as nowhere on the auction had it mentioned a Paypal fee, and I knew this to be against Paypal rules. I also was taken aback that it was implied I'd "forgotten" it, as if I should have known to add this, or she'd told me to add it. I replied to her stating as much and her response was basically that she asked for $435, but that's not what she ended up with after the fee - thus I should make up the rest. At this point I admit my communications (seen above) got a little irate and not as well phrased as they could have been, I was feeling unwell at the time and was not expecting these difficulties. I asked a number of friends online what I should do (I really did want the head and she was saying she'd relist it) or whether it was fair, to which they said it was not. One of them told me it was against Furbuy policy so I contacted them too, asking about that. They responded that it was definitely not acceptable, and thus I replied telling Bambiboo3 so, and she decided to drop the charge. So some days pass and the head arrives with my friend on October 26th. She immediately contacts me by IM to let me know and unpacks it to check everything is in order. The head, I am told, is just fine and is nice quality. She did say to me though, "how much did you say you paid for shipping again?"...to which I replied $35. She advised me it was stickered with $10.74 and a 70 cent Delivery Confirmation - making my bill over $20 higher than the actual shipping cost. I was also told it was packaged in an old blender box and packed with wadded up grocery bags, and you can see that in the photos above, meaning that none of that was spent on packaging, either. Again annoyed, I emailed Bambiboo3 asking about this discrepancy. That was over 24 hours ago, and with all other emails being answered promptly and seeing as she's been faving things on FA, I assume she doesn't have a good simple answer for this. I may be jumping the gun but at this point I can only recommend against dealing with her. I know this head didn't go for as much as she would like - she was looking at around $700 for head and tail before putting it on Furbuy - but my impression is that she just tries to frisk the customer for anything she can get. EDIT - seeing that Bambiboo has been faving art and posting FA journals, I decided to send her another email: Hey again, I see you have been active on FurAffinity so I guess you either did not receive or are ignoring my last email outright. At this point I want to make you aware that I posted about our transaction to "artists_beware" because I am really not impressed with this. - Sarah I feel like I'm probably not going to get anything back at this point, but I think her (most likely) ignoring my last email is really the icing on the cake here. EDIT 2 - Bambiboo3 has replied to my last email quickly. I would chase him for updates on a regular interval say once a month but I only received one sketch update in the 10 months he has had to do my commission in and only after I kicked up a stink about it. He has told me on a dozen occasions that he has completed or is nearly completed my commission just to say what I want to hear to make me go away, but no evidence was ever produced to back up that he was progressing on my commission. I have explained in detail that I have been displeased with the way he was treating me, but his has done nothing to change the way he was conducting his business. WHEN: May 29 2010 Summary: - I offer free stuff, but first come first serve, in order to prevent other people from snatching up 3 trash bags worth of plushies and fur fabric, he offers to trade me art to hold on to them until he can get someone to pick the items up. I agree. - He receives the items and expresses his happiness with them. - He acknowledges multiple times that he owes me work. - Of a certain quality. - Yet he forgets about me 3 times. - Inundates me with angst and lies, such as not having a working computer when uploading digital work or saying he's too busy when uploading gift art. - Lies, i.e. about being threatened to swindle money out of his viewers. - Currently claims he no longer has the items and says I will never get the art he owes me. Once upon a time, I was cleaning up and decided to give away of a pile of plushies and a few meters of fur fabric. The plushies and fur were really nice so I thought some local furries might enjoy them, so rather than give them to a local thrift store like I usually do, I put up a "free to a good home, first come first serve" post here. Enter Luvythicus. He said he knew someone locally who could pick up a large portion of the fur and the plushies the next day, but that didn't work out. Afraid someone else might come for the items before he/his friends could he said "I know you said no reserving, but..." and offered to trade artwork in exchange for me holding on to 13 plushies and several meters of fur fabric. He used this and this image as a sample to show the quality of work he would give me. I agreed and at this point it became a trade; the items for art. June 5 2010 he received the items and let me know how happy he was with them. June 7 2010 I give him the information he needs to draw his half of the trade. The link I sent him was this one, which is fairly clear reference I think. He complains about the complexity, but if you give her clothes you only have to do the stripes on her face, so. *shrug* September 7 2010 I remind him of our agreement. September 22 2010 he forgot who I am. After clarification I send him the reference link again and he says "Imma doodle her today fer sure x3" November 2010 I leave a shout on his FA page (no screenshot as it had since scrolled off) and again, he forgot who I am. November 26 2010 I remind him again, send reference link for third time. Eventually, on November 28 2010, I get a sketch. You might notice a discrepancy between the quality of that and the quality he promised. I hemmed and hawed, already pretty fed up with having to wait half a year for even a preliminary and being inundated with false promises and angst whenever I ask him about it. But I confront him and tell him this is not the quality of work we agreed on. Same day, he agrees and says he'll draw more. which is followed by another note in which he explains, apologizes and promise to "draw something proper". That's the last I heard from him for months. In the meantime he has and continues to take commissions, ask people for ideas to draw, does a lottery, draws gifts, does trades and offers free art and draws numerous pictures of his character doing the horizontal mambo with other people's characters. I understand people having a hard time, and I understand that paying customers come first. But in this case, I have no clue as to what the hold up is supposed to be. If anything I thought the fact he was uploading work would mean he'd definitely get around to mine, but either he has a 1.5 year backlog or he's taken commissions AND trades after mine and just skipped over the work he owes me. March 5 2011, I send him a link to the original LJ post as a reminder, he says I am not a priority and can't even draw for himself. But uploads gift art 10 days later. April 19 2011 rolls around and I'm fed up. I send him a a deadline, provide me with a preliminary within a month or return the items because I don't think he should get something for breaking his promise. Because he lives on the other side of the country and both he and I have spotty transport at best (depending mostly on public, which costs an arm and a leg), I asked (mutual!) friends more local to him and with transport, if they'd be willing to drop by and pick up the items, so it'd be easy for Luvy to bow out of the trade. He responds by saying he feels threatened and anyway his computer is broken so unless I can teach him to draw out of thin air.. He then makes an FA journal about the fact he's being threatened. Notice how, after a year of admitting he promised to make me art of a certain quality and that he was definitely going to get 'round to it, he goes to saying how he just offered a sketch out of the kindness of his heart. At least he's being honest when he says "I don't care if you feel cheated or anything". My response, also explaining that it wasn't a threat because well, it wasn't. I figured that if it was a misunderstanding, he'd delete or at least amend the post. However, in response to my statement that I was not threatening him, he says that the post is just a warning for anyone else who might suddenly demand art from him. So he knew he was not being threatened, but the post is still there, without even amending the information he knew to be false and he got at least 50 dollars out of lying to his viewers! The obvious falsehood of his post also casts a new light on this one: Silly customers. And makes me wonder how many more people he might owe work to. ? I tell him that, while he claims to only be able to use the internet via his phone and not draw digitally, he had uploaded digital work. I'm not angry, I just want what he promised me. May 8 2011 he's suddenly all cutesy and pleasant again, and asks for my real life address for a "surprise". I am suspicious, and ask him for a phone pic of the traditional media doodles. I remember seeing it, but didn't save it, it was the corner of a piece of paper with some doodles. He said there was a second sheet but the cat puked on it or something. By this time I was getting pretty exasperated with and tired of this person. Can you tell? ? Notice how he asks for the character's personal info AFTER I send him the link for the fourth time. Said link has a full bio, which is part of the reason I didn't respond. The other being that unlike him, I was busy-busy (end of the semester, commissions etc.) and didn't feel like telling him about my hobbies. The link I gave him 4 times had plenty of information he needed for some doodles. Needless to say I didn't hear from him after. Sent a note today, asking for an update, he complains he had to wait 5 months for information he already had and apparently couldn't do a single headshot since and he lost the sketches he already had. Despite the fact that I carefully stored my items and they were fine when I gave them to him, the fur was suddenly "riddled with bugs" and he threw it away; good time to mention he claimed the fur was for his then-girlfriend and he just never gave it to her, even though they were still together for at least a month after receiving the fur. He claims to have given the plushies to charity which I sincerely doubt. Considering his track record of lying to me, I heavily suspect he's just trying to brush me off and get me to leave him alone because he supposedly doesn't have the items anymore. And I'm confident that he will never, ever live up to his promise, leaving his post to be forever unresolved. I would definitely recommend people never give him anything again, money or otherwise. Sure he seems to do some commissions and trades, but why chance it?

WHAT: It was for a heavy duty trade on a pretty large scale. A poster sized painting of a scene from his novel. It was Digital. We agreed in the beginning of the winter quarter of 2006, roughly mid January. We had both agreed upon a large exchange. He was going to do two of my characters full color in traditional media, while I was doing a scene from his novel roughly 30" x 40" 400 dpi. An image that I would have charged $200 for if it were a commission. I completed my end in July of 2006.took a little over 40hrs. I felt bad asking, so I let it go for a while. In 2009 I believe, my friends who were present when we initially made the deal to trade started urging me to contact him about it. So at the FWA convention, I asked him again. Life seemed to have gotten a bit worse for him. My friend Kelly thought he was just giving me the brush off again, since he was there and had all his art supplies with him. So we decided that we would give him a poke about it the next day. When we came by his table, he was busy coloring commissions for people. I was going to go back, since I get really nervous very easily, and he wasn't acknowledging us anyway, but Kelly greeted him and started talking with him about it. I felt bad that life wasn't treating him well, since I've been there myself. So when I looked at the art he was doing, I asked if maybe he would just do me one of the badges he was working on instead of the actual trade. I figured this would make life easier for him. He said sure. So I left it at that. I left a few reminders on his DA page during the next year, but no response. The next year, or the year after that (I seriously can't remember if it was 2010 or 2011) I went to his table and asked him about it again. This time, he said he was busy traveling conventions, and said he would not have access to anything but pencil and pen. So I would have to wait. My friend, now agitated with me for waiting so long, urged me to say something more. I brought up the fact that it had been many years, and he sort of went very quiet. It felt really awkward, so I wished him well and went back to my own table again... While at my table, a few artists told me he had no intention of doing any art in exchange for the painting I did. I told them that Donovan promised to do at least something this year. They all had a good laugh at my expense, then told me I should charge him as if it were a commission. I didn't take this seriously at first. It's been pulling teeth trying to get any pictures or shipping information since. I should've done something earlier. Although I have high doubts I will be so relieved if I actually get this tail. And I know in my messages I threatened posting about this somewhere, but after thinking about how much time I've had to wait and such I can at least post this as a warning later to people if I do get the tail that this user takes quite a while for her products to reach consumers. I apologize if the set up for this post isn't correct. EDIT: November 2nd, 2011 She just contacted me saying that she wants to start over on a clean slate and send my tail. She even offered to remake the first one from an old pattern to a newer pattern- or some free ears. ? Im very hopeful that this will happen and I can mark this resolved.

I must strongly caution anyone who receives an art request from RejectedDreams on DeviantART. He comes off all nice at first, but then turns around and belittles your work, changes his story around, and accuses you of scamming him. Here is my ordeal: I posted a journal stating that I was doing sketch commissions. In the past, it was understood that that meant pencil sketches, not cleaned up line work. I proceed to find out further info about his request. I also let him know my process, telling him that he may request changes to his image once I submit it to him, before the final image is complete. And even tells me to include the same type of tusks on his elephant that I had drawn on a previous piece in my gallery. Later I scanned the badge and sent her a courtesy copy (as I try to do with all badges and artwork I commission, though it sometimes it takes me a while to get access to a scanner). She sent it back to me less than a day later, with the hole punch repaired in the virtual copy, and with the colors brightened as well. I'm not really doing this for myself, but more for everyone who is still waiting and anyone who ever goes to do business with her. While her art is absolutely fantastic her business manners and time for getting things done is absolutely terrible. Though she is usually pretty good with giving refunds if you ask for them. PROOF: Since it's been so long I can no longer grab proof of me sending the payment for them also I didn't pay with paypal I paid with the chat's currency which is deltas. Although I did earn those through commissions so I guess it still counts? Here's the topic where everything is even all the screenshots are taken from there. EXPLAIN: September of last year she had posted a topic on Serenity which contained a presale of a premade wolf set she was working on. It was $25 Paypal/50 Deltas to preorder them all so I sent out the deltas for all of them because I'm a really big fan of her artwork. When she posted said topic there was a little preview of them already and she stated that they were just WIPs for now but she was getting close to being done with some of them. (screenshot) So I figured okay then it shouldn't be too long for them to be completely finished. Well that's where I and many people were wrong. March of this year she finally comments on her topic after not giving any of us any updates at all apologizing for not posting in so long and saying she had redone the poses. She asked us if we wanted to see them so far or if we wanted to wait and most people said they'd like to see a little sneak peak of the new ones. (screenshot) Well that never happened. More and more time went by with no more updates or even a preview of the newley redone poses. So someone finally sent her a PM on the forums asking for an updated and apparently she replied with this. That was on June 11th of this year. More time went buy and in August someone posted a comment saying they were keeping an eye on a topic she made over on wolfhome forums with premade sets. I decided I'd take a look into and to my surprise she had started another premade set without even finishing the one she started over on Serenity. (screenshot) On Augst 28th someone had posted what Galagya had said through a PM on a different forum. (screenshot) Later on that day the same person gave us an update for the 20th of August saying Galagya was going through a move and her family was visiting her. They also said that she was busy with making her own chat instead of working on all this owed artwork that people have already paid for. (screenshot) I figured that's okay, real life things pop up and can't be avoided so I just went about my way. On September 23rd, it had already been over a year since myself and many others paid for these poses, I seen on wolfhome forums that they were finally all moved into their new place and even had internet. I also seen a topic Galagya herself posted on wolfhome forums August 31st. Which can be seen here. More time passed and still nothing. Now back in April she made a topic on wolfhome forums selling puppies which people had to buy and then in a few weeks they were suppose to get the completed refs of the adult versions of those. By this time those people that had paid for those were starting to get a bit frustrated. Which I can understand, but that's a whole different story really. Lets just say out of all 10 of those people who paid $20.00 for a puppy have yet to see a single ref finished. Not even so much as a sketch. Anyways it's now September 30th she still hasn't completed the premade set. Not to mention she owes quiet a few peple things they've already paid for, but that isn't for me to get into. Many people have sent her emails and PMs reminding her about them and asking her about them and still nothing. No updates, no previews, no nothing. Now like I said she's generally good about refunds if you ask her for one, but sometimes she gets an attitude about it. No I don't have proof, just past experiences. This isn't really anything new for her since she's been this way for a really long time from what I've noticed. About a year or two back there were people who had been waiting 3 years for a commission. I'm not sure how that is now though I'm pretty sure she refunded everyone or something. But yeah if you ever go to commission her just beware of how long it could possibly take her and don't expect updates. She gives little to no updates. Her art is wonderful, but the wait and no updates isn't.

As a note, in the end I am getting the item she made. However the entire ordeal of two and half / three years of stress regarding this commission really has pushed me to write this, especially since she's looking to expand her client base. I absolutely hate writing negative reviews about people, but I honestly am under the impression if you're operating as a business (taking money for goods/services), you need to also provide good follow-through, reputation, and customer service. WHEN she did reply, I will give that she was always very polite in dealing with me. I had planned on writing this for a very long time, and then debated it when it appeared I may be getting my item. I lucked out in getting my item. I'm not sure why, but I am grateful for that. Basically we were strung along, yelled at, ignored for months. When concerns of whether or not she had the time to complete or would like to refund us partial (minus the parts already used), we were ignored. Basically every note was ignored for months at a time which lead us to be very concerned about whether or not this was going to be completed or not. The screenshots below also include a few conversations with Ratchet, her boyfriend/husband. Since he had been helpful in getting a refund with another person on AB, it seemed like a good idea to contact him if he was more likely to respond. As a note, Ty and I have no problems being patient. As we told both Aurasoul and Ratchet countless times, but we do request communication every half a year or so. (We rarely got that). Again. We got our item in the long run, but I would strongly encourage people who want to commission this particular artist to never pay full up front -- and be aware that communication issues will be a very big factor. My complaints will be under the cut. This is a very long dated issue Disclaimer Please feel free to commission Aurasoul or have dealings with Ratchet at your own risk. I know I would not deal with the pair again. Communication issues with Aurasoul is one big problem, but the other is Ratchet's attitude in the end as well. I understand that Ratchet may had been put in the middle of this, and realize that it may be stressful him, but this is also a product of Aurasoul's inability to communicate with her commissioners. I was NOT the first to turn to Ratchet in hopes of getting help. I understand his point of view in "not being her keeper (something he said before), however if I did the same thing, I'd expect my boyfriend/husband to give me a sharp poke to get my butt moving if I were slacking on these issues. Also, there may be some notes I've lost in the course of 2-3 years. I tried to be as thorough as possible. I cleaned out my FA box due to the FA hack leak about a year ago and I think I've mistakenly deleted somethings I had intended to keep. I tried to keep every single response from both my side and their's. --------------- NOTE: For the first YEAR of this ordeal, I was not involved. The notes I have are after I got involved when I felt that Ty was getting scammed and was out nearly $100. That right there pissed me off to no small degree. In fall of 2009 is when I got involved in this on behalf of Ty. In summer of 2011 we saw the an upload of the final item completed (and item was given to someone in EF con to deliver to us in the states. ) ----------------------------- In late October / early November of 2008 my fiance commissioned Aurasoul for a Christmas gift for me. He did pay the full amount up front. He was told at the time that the item would be completed by Christmas of 2008. When the time come and gone, Ty had spoke with her in regards to what was going on when January rolled around, he was told that she had school going on and that delayed her -- as well as still gathering materials for the item. Being the patient type, Ty sat on it. He sat on it more, checking in every 3-4 months for a progress report. Rarely did he get an answer. At this point, we had gotten little communication, no item, no progress report and Ty so far was out $90. Ty had faith in Aurasoul. Mine had started to wane when I was reading numerous complaints and witnessing problems ongoing in real time through Artist Beware and other channels, such as the banning of her DA account. Again, any limited time Ty got a response, it was an excuse. No confirmation of anything. No item. No progress. Communication was like pulling teeth. Due to she being in Germany, we assumed that maybe she was not as well versed with English as many of our other German friends.. So we often simplified the conversation so it would be better converted in translators if she happened to use those. ---- It was after the year mark had nearly rolled around in 2009 that I got involved. After seeing nothing other than Ty's money being taken, I decided it was time to get involved. I first and foremost contacted Aurasoul asking for her to reach out to Ty to get in touch with him. We did not try to reverse action Paypal at this time, because we honestly wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt despite negative reviews and give her a chance to complete the item. In the beginning she was very willing to respond. She had even claimed he had photos for us! It quickly declined from there, however. Some Screenshots: So after the one promise of seeing progress reports, she had dropped off the face of the planet again, despite her account being active favoriting and commenting on art / responding to people in general. All the while, I was watching my notes being a mix of being read and unread status in her account. It was clear my notes were being avoided. Again, as we stated in the notes, we did not mind being patient but do require communication and some effort to give us progress. If you say check back in X time, that's what we'll do and not a moment before. However if you blindly ignore us while clearly being active, it paints a very drastic picture. It is what prompted the following screenshot. --------------- Fast forward to the year 2010! It was at this point there were numerous negative posts about Aurasoul being posted up in various more spots and it was getting scary. Some were saying how she would outright destroy the item. A few claimed they got resolution through her boyfriend/husband, Ratchet ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ratchet ). I had high hopes with this option, because at this point we were worried we were getting strung along and the best option would be a refund since we never got progress photos. At first, Ratchet was helpful, and then he turned rude - my guess in frustration with many other people who had commissioned Aurasoul contacting him as well. I do not know this to be the case firmly, but I do know I was not the only one worried about a commission. I had very limited conversations with Ratchet. Color us shocked. Here was progress and Aurasoul didn't bother to even notify us. Not one bit. We were happy to see the progress shots, don't get us wrong. We had waited a very long time for this. Again this really speaks for her customer service / organization. She didn't notify us that we had WIPs to view. She didn't respond to our notes in a timely fashion. However, we were happy. This what we wanted. By this time we were really happy. Here was news that it was finished and ready to be shipped. We promptly supplied the shipping information and then waited. And waited some more. And contacted our friend who had not gotten the item and waited some more. Friend contacted me to see if anything was heard. We waited more. Eventually we just waited to hear back from Aurasoul. We hadn't. We saw she was being active so it prompted us to write more notes. Many of which went unanswered. I hate doing it, but I DID leave a shout on her page to get in touch with me (it was promptly deleted). We supplied mailing information (for the second or third time) on January 21st, 2011. I had waited in sending it again because I wanted to make sure my friend would still be willing to be a middle man in this situation. We waited some more! By this time I was concerned. Seeing how Ratchet had been helpful in the past in prompting Aura to respond, since it had been so many months, I decided to give him a shot again. I was taken aback by how just down right rude he was. Unfortunately in my clutter of notes I do not see my original first note to him regarding asking for progress on behalf of Aurasoul. I only have his reply after this one. So we're back to waiting again. No direct communication with AuraSoul through this whole ordeal. Frankly it angered me a good bit to have him snap when I see both of them active, commissioning art, and neglecting their own commissioners. This is hindsight I suppose. I was a little confused to see that Ratchet was saying the item wasn't completed at this time, but it was hinted/ready to be shipped by earlier comments/notes from Aurasoul. Somewhere down the road I thought to contact her again. After all, 3-4 months in between notes isn't too short of a time I'd hope. Especially since the last WIP was over half a year ago. Correction. About half a year ago when she said she was SHIPPING it. After that last one, I decided to wait a bit again. Like before, it was waiting and my friend waiting and nothing coming of it. Once again I started noticing her being very active on FA, but not taking the time to read/respond to anything. The next screenshot had information pertaining again to my contact's address. I've blurred it out for privacy's sake but the meat of what was said is there. Despite me having sent the address numerous times before, I was requested again to send it. Again no final photos of a finished product, but just the idea of getting it and getting this ordeal over was a blessing. The last few conversations were of me confirming with my contact about it not arriving, and bringing it to Aurasoul's attention. She said it was still there and had not had time to ship it. At this point we had not seen any photos of the final product. I was not contacted directly, and would have missed the uploads (as I had when she originally uploaded WIPs) if I weren't watching her on FA. While Aurasoul wasn't going, she had a friend who was. It was agreed (and this can be seen on conversations/replies in the actual finished product) that it'd be dropped to my contact. TL;DR Version I finally am getting my product and it looks good from what I can see in the photos. My contact is bringing it to me when we meet up at a US con. While Aurasoul has been very polite in her responses to me, her responses in general are like pulling teeth. She is not timely or professional in this manner. I do not recommend anyone paying full price for anything up front. Ordeal has taken place over the course of Fall of 2008 to Summer of 2011 to get sorted. I'm probably missing things. I tried to keep this as short, but as thorough, as possible. (Yes I could have written more believe it or not!)

Who Kate Sjoberg, AmandaKathryn (Deviantart and ebay), RedWyvrenStudio (Etsy) Where Ongoing through ebay, etsy, and deviantart What Well she sells unicorn sculptures that run $100+, but my issue is regarding other parts of the transaction. I'm just going to copy paste what I wrote in my own journal. I've never posted in this community before so I apologize if I leave out any information. I'm not really sure what to do with this. The seller here is an artist who I've been a fan of for ages. (Kate Sjoberg, AmandaKathryn, RedWyvrenStudio) I bought a fairy from her in 2006, and then bought a few unicorns, and commissioned a pegasus at the end of 2008. With the commission, I found her communication a bit shaky, like she wouldn't respond to messages every time and that type of thing. My first issue was a mermaid I bought from her in early 2009, she started the bidding low and the auction ended low. She charged me $35 for shipping, and it ended up only costing $12. I messaged her 4 times over a few weeks to get the money back to no response, and after weeks (I guess after that 4th message) finally I go to paypal and see she has refunded me $14. No paypal note, no reply to my messages, no apology. And the difference in shipping was a decent chunk more than $14, but at least I got some back. So I didn't press the issue, and left positive feedback anyway. Now ship overcharges piss me off in general so after that I didn't buy from her for almost 2 years. (I should add, money and falling out of collecting contributed to this as well) Then in Novemeber 2010 I bought two large unicorns, one was $135 and one was $125. The description on all her auctions says the items come with a COA (certificate of authenticity) and they didn't. Also, one of the unicorn's bases was broken. I contacted her through etsy about the break and the COAs. At first she had great contact. And then... nothing. However, against my better judgement, I bought a unicorn in February 2011 from her, which was sold with a "new version" of her unicorn tutorial. Here's our entire conversation through etsy. So, I would like to point out here a few things. First of all, I never got a refund or any sort of money back due to the broken item. She never looked into the claim or got back to me on that (look at the dates on the messages) and I ended up fixing the base at cost to me. The pegs are really expensive and hard to find and I used my own. I would also like to point out that she doesn't apologize at all about an item arriving broken. A few others things... she didn't tell me beforehand that the COAs would be sent separately- I had to ask. The description says they come with COAs. Also, again, she never mentions before I pay that the tutorial would be shipped separately or that it would take time to complete. I knew that info through DeviantArt comments only. Also regarding her last message to me- the COAs were NOT in the box with Dream. I never got them. After messaging her on etsy and getting no response I gave up. I hate chasing people and figured, whatever, let it go, just don't buy from her again. But it bothers me to this day every time I think about it. It's to a point where I want to sell them because I can't enjoy them properly due to these issues. The two unicorns I need COAs for I bought in November 2010. The unicorn that was supposed to come with a new version of the tutorial was purchased in February 2011. So recently, as in the end of August 2011, she posted on DA and I commented about something else and she responded. So I figured hey, she's around, I'm going to send her a note. Why not, might as well mend things if I can. Here are those. The following are messages through DeviantArt's note system So, I realize the tone in my first DA message was quite different from that last one. But that's it. Not only am I done with buying items from her, I am spreading this to others too. Again, I would like to point out that in the message I got from her in August, she did not apologize ONCE for a huge issue that is absolutely her fault. The thing is, they're PAPER. To appease me all she had to do was print two pieces of paper, sign them, slap the old tutorial on a disc, toss all 3 in an envelope and send them out! There is nothing hard about that. Ignoring messages and failing to do something so simple for your customers really just illustrates how little you care. And on a more personal note... I would also like to mention, because for those not familiar with the artist I think it's important- they're not cheap. I have 8 pieces by her that were $100-$200 each. (Sorry! I put this bit in for my LJ friends, I don't mean to mply that her work is overpriced or anything like that!)COAs and such might not seem like a big deal, but if I want to resell them at any point they're not worth much without the COA. As for the tutorial, she charges $13 for the old version and the price for the unicorn I got was started higher because it came with a tutorial. So I bought it largely because of the tutorial. So in many ways it's not that big a deal, not like never receiving an entire sculpture. However, in principal, I didn't receive what the description stated. In the end, I'm leaving this transaction feeling taken advantage of... it doesn't matter what business you're in, that's never something you want to do to your customers. ? If anyone has any advice on what to do, I'm all ears. At this point, I'm moving on and never dealing with this person again. It's really unfortunate that things have come to this because I'm honestly a big fan of her work.

I feel this should be posted here because Leelee has made me wait for a year w/o any responses to my e-mails or notes when she disappeared on FA, also the fact that when I DID get in contact w/ her I had to ask MORE THAN ONCE for a responce... Unfortunately that thread where we worked out the details has been LONG lost. We agreed, passed info between us via LJ PM's but those have been purged as well a loooong time ago. Before I realized NOT to delete information until a transaction is complete. I do admit I dropped the ball for deleting those. My half was completed a long time ago, well before I even saw a sketch of hers. I do admit I took a while before I got to it, but I decided to hold off on sending it to her till I saw some form of her half. She seemed to have fallen off the face of the internet for a while, and I can admit I honestly forgot until I randomly posted on the submission. I've also sent e-mails before that were never answered. I also didn't keep up w/ her journals on FA either. My fault again I suppose.. Finally getting some contact from her we have talked it out, apparently her computer was broken and sent off or something, to where she didn't have the file on hand. So she claimed she was going to finish it when it's returned. So I'm waiting on her to color it I guess. She did however draw me a lovely little extra for my wait. (Which I will admit I flipped out a bit because I thought she was trying to give this to me instead of our agreed trade) But I still mark this as beware for her random absence and lack of communication and ignoring when inquiring about said trade. I apologize for the lack of initial communication between us. I just hope the facts given are enough. Update: I have just asked if she would just color the smaller image she posted on FA because I am at this point tired of waiting. She’s cranking out art right now so I don’t see why she can’t color it too. Even if she does color it I stil think this beware is valid enough to be posted. Update2: After she decided to ignore my question on the submission I noticed her faving and comminting elseware. She ignored me again. So I decided to wait till morning and note her.
