Knowing this artists talent I decided to take the offer and also commented a friend about it. To which he decided to comish her as well. Alls well and the artist notified me that she will do them as soon as she can. I don’t usually bother artist but I decided to take another slot (since I’ve previously comished her and I trusted this artist) and she said she’d get it underway, unfortunately she said she had complications based on her equipment and family situation, something that I can understand. However things started to take a dive after she stated that she would get them done in a weekend, ASAP as she stated. However I saw no progress, any attempts made to communicate and figure out anything were met with nothing, she picked up on ‘em and read the notes I sent over Deviantart. However I found it odd that she was doing artwork months after she stated shed do my own. So she had moved to Weasyl, again I noted her there asking what’s going on. No reply, however it would seem another person had fallen for her, the same deal, she did a trade however. This will play a part later on as we talked. But in the meantime she didn’t reply. Only read. Then some months later she stated she would return after health complications to deviantart. Again I understood this but was a bit unsure since she was uploading artwork in other sites. Moving on, I kept on asking (usually waited a month or so, since I don’t like bothering an artist) but saw they were only read. Never replied. She had made a new character named Buckthorn, I didn’t pay much attention to this until years later I stumbled upon her on FA, same character, same style. Never let me know she changed accounts or anything of the sort. So I sent her a note, again no reply but she did read it. A month after I sent her another note and commented on her shoutpage. No response, I sent the person whom had the same situation and she told me she did respond to her and that it was the same artist and they were checking up on how to fix the dilemma, upon getting this information I decided to try it again. To my surprise she had put me on her blocklist. I guess she got tired of me messaging her asking for my end of the deal. It’s a shame really since I trusted her and I would have continuously done so over these past 2 years. Im currently trying to contact this artist, she posted a journal stating if any art is owed to note her. Can’t do that while blocked so I used another account. I also tried adding her skype, I do get “bucky” referencing her new character instead of the old one tho the account is from the old character. managed to talk to her manager since she doesn’t want to deal with this herself and am currently awaiting a refund because ive been told they aren’t doing well financially and will be taken care of soon. Deadline is suppose dot be on September, I appreciate I got someone to talk to about this but all in all im still somewhat concerned wether this will go through or not. Edit 10/17/2015: Nothing came through, still avoiding me, at this point i cant do anything. Seriously dissapointing.
  2. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/855169.html WHO: mixideer, mixipony, miss-mixi, mixisweets WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mixideer WHAT: Art trade: wing-it piece of my character for a custom furset of their character made on IMVU WHEN: initial conversation: March 29th, Finished my half April 13th PROOF: Album of images, some contain NSFW: http://imgur.com/a/TiJmI individual images will be linked in the story below EXPLAIN: Mixi approached me at the end of March asking about a custom furset made on IMVU. I proposed a trade over my normal currency of IMVU credits since I had already been watching her and liked her art. She said she could totally do that and requested I add her on skype. (http://i.imgur.com/UXN2FCS.png) On skype we confirmed an art trade (http://i.imgur.com/CfSy82F.png) I told her which character I would like drawn and gave her the first WIP (http://i.imgur.com/csLWyQb.png) I always give many WIPs as I work because I want to make sure everything is perfect. I had a slight delay in working because I had another commission that was paid in full, whereas I had not gotten the art for this one. I message her letting her know why I had been delayed and gave her more WIPs (http://i.imgur.com/uloGY9j.png) She says it's amazing and I gift it to her account (http://i.imgur.com/rKcoN5Q.png) Proof that I sent the skin over (http://i.imgur.com/8MB4HEZ.png) I can provide proof for each individual piece of the set but I am not sure that's necessary. Note: the price is high because I change the price from 0 personal profit to a high number after gifting it. This helps me keep track of what I have delivered and prevents anyone from accidentally buying it when I unhide it in the shop to be visible as an example of my work. Ten days after I have given her the furset I notice that I am not on her to-do list and message her on skype asking if I will be added to it. She says she is sorry for not having me there and adds me to it. May comes and goes and on June 11th I message her asking if she has worked on the art she owes me. She apologizes and said she is behind on work (http://i.imgur.com/TcXTXgc.png) Since me asking for an update she has posted a few gift art pieces and even did a freebie stream. She has also been posting a lot of YCHs. She has also posted journals for more commissions. I am a little anxious and message her again on the 23rd, expressing that it has been two months and would like an estimate on when the piece will at least be started (http://i.imgur.com/SKMQWfO.png) She was online when I messaged her but I did not get a response. I went to bed and woke up and still did not have a response. The morning after I messaged asking for information on our trade she was streaming. In the stream it was clear that she was on skype. As she checked messages when streaming (http://i.imgur.com/AHlRFWx.png) I decided to follow up my message since I knew she was online and on skype (http://i.imgur.com/ti9Dh1n.png) I understand not wanting to talk business during a stream and waited patiently for the stream to be over, figuring she would message me once people were no longer watching. The stream finished with her saying she was going to bed and I did not get any message back from her. Not even a simple "hey, I am sorry, I will have to message you tomorrow since it's late" After my messages had still not been responded to she makes a journal claiming to be on holiday and to have been gone over the weekend (http://i.imgur.com/hJA79Fs.png). This does not explain why my art has not been finished as I messaged her before the weekend she claims to have been gone during and she has been working on art both before and after this journal was posted. Her to-do list says "(I REPEAT, I DO NOT DRAW THESE IN ORDER, I DRAW THEM IN ORDER TO HOW I'M FEELING) Up to a few weeks wait or a few days of ordering, finished at least within the month." but it has been over two months since I completed my half and even longer since the trade was decided on. I am upset because I just wanted something, anything, drawn of my character. It was a wing-it piece so she could have easily used one of the YCH poses for it. She said she was behind on work but was actively taking and completing commissions and YCHs. I had to request to be added to her to-do list and now I have been actually ignored. Uploading products to IMVU is not free. I had to pay to submit those products and then pay to gift them to her. I have spent actual currency on this. This is not something I can get back. The only thing I can do is edit the products I have sent her with textures that are solid black with "Payment not recieved" in white across it. This will make the products useless to her but will still not get me my money back Update 1 - July 1st: Mixi has messaged me after seeing this beware (http://i.imgur.com/nwP355B.png) And I have responded (http://i.imgur.com/W2FEqzS.png) I also told her an amount and my paypal but the screencap cuts out and I figured it would be best to leave out since I would have to censor the information regardless. Update 2 - July 5th: I have not heard from Mixi after giving her the information she asked for in order to give me payment for the set. So I sent her a message asking for a response, (http://i.imgur.com/R1seooI.png) she has been online and has posted a new journal on FA in which she has removed me from her To-Do list, but still has not responded to me. Update 3 - July 8th: Still waiting on a response from Mixi despite her being active on FA, I message her again (http://i.imgur.com/Ja7rxvz.png) I am starting to question if she will ever get back to me. Update 4 - July 13th: I do not message people this often when waiting on art, but now this has become me waiting on payment for an already delivered good and I have not gotten a response from her in nearly two weeks while she has still been posting on FA. I send her another message (http://i.imgur.com/UQf8p4t.png) Update 5 - July 14th: After having been contacted by a concerned 3rd party, Mixi has sent me my payment. (http://i.imgur.com/ev3GZ4y.png) She has not actually said anything to me at all since the message she sent to me on the 1st. I have received my payment and so this can be tagged as resolved.
  3. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/851367.html UPDATE: Contact was made, work was finished to my satisfaction. Issue is now resolved. I stand with the other posting regarding this artist, as communication was non existent. My take away is that I will research more and keep on communication, as I think now that 3 months between contact points are a bit long. Who: FA user Nuka_foxy3 Where: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/nukafoxy3/ What: Full color portrait of a character from a description. When, Proof and explanation all laid out below Pinged the artist on March 17th. Asked if she would be open to a description only commission. I was doing this in a batch with 3 others. 1 2 Commission idea was accepted, payment was sent. paypal record.JPG A journal was posted about 3 months later, she stated that she did not keep up with notes, and if her commissioners had not heard from her to contact her reminding her about the commission. I posted in the thread, she stated that she hadn't forgotten about it. (cannot post anything from this, journal was deleted.) Sent a note on August 29th 2014 asking for an update. Got a fairly sharp response. 3 Sent the next note January 19th, 2015. Was assured that I would have something in a week. That was 4 months ago. No additional updates have been given. 4 This was my final note. She tells me that I need to re send her the details, as she has deleted the note. She had planned to have my things done in a week in January, and then decided to delete the note with the description between then and now. 5.JPG I am writing this because it has been well over a year since the commission was agreed upon and paid for. I don't expect my money back or delivered product at this time. I followed instructions, I allowed the responsibility that should have been hers to be placed on me. She has broken 2 promise dates, and made me contact her to figure out if she still knew that she owed me work. In the year that has passed, 80+ commissions have shown up on her account, and she has opened up for commissions and YCH's and trades and badges and everything else.
  4. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/847883.html WHO: Rach Verity, rachykins WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rachverity/ trello with an insane backlog: https://trello.com/b/kDddOtiK/commissions-list WHAT: Digital art WHEN: First discussion on June 20th 2014, agreement and payment on june 25th 2014. Still waiting on art or refund. PROOF: Initial agreement on a journal post: https://archive.is/7XgP4 Relevant bit: http://i.imgur.com/be3gpyl.png Confirming through note: http://i.imgur.com/8us9VDu.png Payment: http://i.imgur.com/VtHrbzD.png (I actually gave $75 because I got a deal on the regular price of $100 and felt bad about it) EXPLAIN: Well, it all began a while ago. I needed a char sheet for a new character and since I commissioned her before and didn't have any problems with her, save for a single commission who was a bit late, but ot critically yet, I decided on rachVerity. Since I still had some details to work out, I started by just asking for her price, not yet a commission: http://i.imgur.com/hXPk5p5.png She answered that it would be about $100: http://i.imgur.com/NaTAO36.png Shortly after that, she made a journal about how she'd do "anything including ref sheets" for $60. I got a spot for that: https://archive.is/7XgP4 Relevant bit: http://i.imgur.com/be3gpyl.png which she confirmed through a note: http://i.imgur.com/8us9VDu.png Payment: http://i.imgur.com/VtHrbzD.png After some problems due to FA losing notes, I sent her the full description on June 25th: http://i.imgur.com/ll2uYbq.png which she confirmed: http://i.imgur.com/npdmUu3.png Just a couple of days later I sent her a note about how I'd like that ref sheet before another (pending at the time) commission, which she ignored, the other commission was posted a few days later: http://i.imgur.com/Ob04dxb.png I didn't care too much at the time because it was great and only a couple days later, I just felt like I should mention that. About 4 months later with no update, no word, no anything, I decided to inquire. I was kinda pissed at the time because while keeping me (and others from what I could see) waiting, she gave away one commission/YCH after the other and constantly made journals about how commissioners would surely get their stuff, which never happened. (During the whole time waiting, there hardly were a week without a commission journal going up, which still do, just go check her journals). Since I actually wanted that ref sheet as soon as possible and it was obviously not happening, I decided on cancelling the commission and getting a refund. Nice as I was, I offered to wait a bit for it because she posted in journals about getting a new place to stay and I know that this eats up money faster than garfield eats up lasagna. http://i.imgur.com/QGu9qK9.png She confirmed at the time that she would refund it: http://i.imgur.com/W8WkOD4.png She even offered to make it up with a free piece of art: http://i.imgur.com/dc11llr.png (I declined that one as it felt not right accepting that to which she said that I'd get at least a 50% discount on future commissions. I somehow don't think that's gonna happen) Another 3 months later I just asked what was up. I offered to convert it to a wing-it if that was easier (note that a wing-it is obviously less work than the char sheet it should have been): http://i.imgur.com/vIUrkSP.png She said that would probably be faster and that she rather saves for her birthday instead of paying her debt: http://i.imgur.com/BHqTNoS.png (didn't mind so much back then but I gotta say that's pretty shitty) I answered that it was up to her, refund or wing-it. 18 days later she actually sent me a message herself asking if she didn't owe me money: http://i.imgur.com/dXVkjQl.png I answered that we actually just discussed that and that she wanted to do a wingit instead. I again gave her the option to choose either. Even though $60 would be $15 less than I paid, at least it would be something.. She answered yet again that she'd rather do a wingit: http://i.imgur.com/iaAfkTD.png Now, I thought I sent a reply to that, but checking my outbox a bit later and nothing was there, so I confirmed that about a month later, which she in turn confirmed: http://i.imgur.com/kYgO4yY.png After yet another month with no update, art or refund, I just decided on a little reminder: http://i.imgur.com/kJpeSak.png Which she initially confirmed, while acting like I should feel bad for the reminder: http://i.imgur.com/xD3z8jr.png This kinda set me off, after 10 months of being really patient and obliging (in my opinion), offering to take a wing-it instead of the money, or even $15 less. I decided to answer in the same way: http://i.imgur.com/zLUex8R.png Her answer to that, "well, I'm in a bad mood so I won't say sorry", was the last straw: http://i.imgur.com/CFMaTgZ.png I don't think I'll ever get my money (or alternatively an image that is not half-assed). And I'm actually quite sad for it, I commissioned her plenty of times before and was always happy with the result, but somewhere has to be a stop or I'd still beg her for the money in 2 years. By the way, I found she had an entry here already: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/829923.html Just thought I'd put that in a new one because of the time difference TL;DR: Asked for a character sheet to be done as fast as possible. Did nt get it. Cancelled it after quite some time because I wanted that char sheet and went to a different artist. After waiting for the refund for a while, I offered her to do a wing-it instead if that was easier. Got neither refund nor wing-it. EDIT June 1st: Got a wing-it, I think this can be considered resolved
  5. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/833832.html WHO: Commissioner: Randombelle FA: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/randombelle // DA: http://bellybumdrum.deviantart.com/ Payee: jl2154 FA: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/jl2154 // DA: http://jl2154.deviantart.com/ WHERE: Accounts listed above, primary contact through FA notes and Skype WHAT: 2 Charge backs on 2 completed commissions (DEC) 3rd Charge back from account again on FEB 19th 2015 The commissions: Posted to my account: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15037546/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/14910780/ Posted to their account: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/14913048/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15040324/ WHEN: NOV 2014 - FEB 20th 2015 PROOF: Chat logs when charge backs happened and our agreement for repayment: http://pika-commissions.weebly.com/chargebacks.html Paypal logs of chargebacks: http://pika-commissions.weebly.com/chargebacks.html Sorry they aren't in perfect order, i went through my paypal account and screen capped all pertaining to the email address. Note that there are 3 separate transactions. Link to journals where i simply state because of charge backs from people using a 3rd party account i will no longer do business with persons who do not have their own Paypal account: http://fav.me/d8ir5et Chat logs between us on FA and DA: http://pika-commissions.weebly.com/chargebacks.html EXPLAIN: I received the original two charge backs on December 8th 2014 from the paypal address of the boyfriend, jl2154. The girl, Randombelle, was the one who i had most contact with as she was the one who ordered the commission. We agreed on the commission and i sent an invoice to jl2154, for the amount agreed upon. My paypal account is a verified business account and i only conduct business through my invoices, never allowing people to send money directly to me. My invoice states my terms of service and policy, meaning he has to accept them if he is paying the invoice, which is a contractual agreement by receiving my invoice and then paying it. The commissions, as listed above, were finished a month prior, in November. You can see my skype chat logs above where i contact randombelle about the chargeback. She tells me that her boyfriend's account was hacked and had problems with fraudulent charges, which resulted in my invoices being two of the charges that was charged back to his account. Note that i ask several times for the actual charges to be reversed and i offered that if they did this i would send back the money they gifted me to cover the expenses. I was most concerned with covering the -$90 balance and removing the flags from my account. The case went uncontested and was closed, so i kept the refunded money they gave me and dropped the issue. Since the issue was closed by paypal i expected that he never went in to cancel the actual charge back. TD;LR: The first two charge backs for two separate commissions were reimbursed by jl2154, through a separate transaction of money, and not canceling the charge backs on my account. Case closed uncontested and i let the issue drop. Please note i was never contacted directly by the payee jl2154, i spoke only to his gf Randombelle who assured me the issue was being resolved. ----- Third charge back was received February 19th 2015. My balance was -$62 as shown in the screenshot galleries above. I made a journal on both DA and FA, since i have had the problem of people using third parties to pay, that i would no longer be accepting persons paying with a third party and that i wanted ALL transactions to be between me and the commissioner only. I stated no names but gave a vague description of my current situation and my frustration, as it was late at night and found myself in a similar situation with the same two people as before. Journal is linked above and i will not be taking it down on either site. I noted Randombelle BEFORE the journal, telling her i had another charge back from her boyfriend's paypal. The journal was not to call her out before i made contact, as i never even mentioned names, only to express my irritation and policy change. I linked above our notes, with both randombelle and her bf jl2154 I expressed I wanted the charge back reversed and was told it wasn't possible because the account had a history of hacking and Paypal had seized control of it. From jl2154, as shown and screen shotted above "I can NOT access that account, it is now controlled by paypal since December. that's why I have a new account." screen shot: http://gyazo.com/d5e5a9f22d33c97ea56c30e45cb981c7 I declined to send an invoice for the owed amount to the new account, as invoices can be charge back on and i wanted to avoid this situation again in the future. I asked that the money i was owed be sent to my paypal address directly if they could not close the claim. He didn't send directly, instead sent an e-check that took 5 days to clear. And i was nervous of this because i googled it and e-checks can be charge back on in the future, a problem that has been frequent with this person. I didn't want to find myself in the situation again. I do not believe that the charge back was a result of paypal's error. If what jl2154 says is true and that the account has been frozen by paypal for several months then there should be no charge backs issued from that account. I was inclined to believe the hacking story the first time but the second time, several months later has set off several alarm bells. His story doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and they avoided questions, only going so far as explaining it all with 'hackings', so i think that neither of them tell the whole truth. Also i did not appreciate that they told me multiple times not to post to AB The boyfriend specifically told me in comments (screen capped above) "You might wanna be careful with the AB thing cuz they could counter saying you didn't contact the actual person paying directly." Screen cap of his comment and my responses http://gyazo.com/30c0a5a98ea1cb9639af761ed348f2be Making it sound like he was trying to pass off blame and responsibility. TL;DR: This user has a history of 'hackings' to his paypal account and used a security compromised account to send payments, resulting in 3 separate charge backs to my account. I was reimbursed for the charge backs but ultimately lost $20 to a 'debited charge back fee" from paypal Which i was told "On occasion, Paypal will take a $20 fee from you for iirc, the case being open at all." He didn't reversed or resolve any of my charge backs even though they were asked multiple times and told them i didn't want a separate transaction. I'm not pursuing the $20 fee because the girl already had me blocked after the incident so i just did the same in return to them. To me the $20 isn't worth the headache of dealing with them again. As I couldn't anyways because she blocked me. In my honest opinion i would avoid these two.
  6. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/833310.html WHO: RubbertexRaccoon WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rubbertexraccoon WHAT: 3-page comic ($120). An inflatable suit and a matching inflatable toy ($2400 for both to be paid in three installments: $800 down to pay for materials, $800 on completion of prototype, $800 on delivery - $1,600 paid to date.) WHEN: Comic commissioned March 2013, the inflatable suit and toy commissioned in April, 2013. Second payment made in 2013 after initial concept sketch was finished: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/wjbr3sh4acsepl1/Payment proof email.jpg?dl=0 EXPLAIN: I commissioned Rubbertex Raccoon for art, an inflatable Maximus Ursus muscle bear suit and a matching life-size inflatable muscle bear toy, all in 2013. All of the products were to be completed in 2013, but the only thing I have received thus far is the pencil drawing concept sketch of the suit. Rubbertex said in a PM he received the materials to build my suit and toy, but I have seen no evidence to support the claim. He said he would mail a swatch of the latex for my approval of the thickness and color, but that never happened. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/cxg2bza1fbjrsnf/Swatches 12-2013.jpg?dl=0 He mentioned in later updates he is finished with the foam body so I could approve the size and shape of the muscles, but no photos were ever sent. He has also mentioned numerous times that his emails are often undelivered as spam because of the “rubber” part of his name, but I’ve never had any problems receiving emails from anyone. He has told this to numerous commissioners, including my mate, TonkaWolf, to whom he also owes an inflatable suit. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/ha54nx05dehqvag/Email issues 06-2014.png?dl=0 Here is the update from May 19, 2013 talking about receiving the materials: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/yr1rnswlgwi9shj/05-2013 Update.jpg?dl=0 And an update in February 2014 saying he is waiting for tools to arrive to finish the foam dummy for approval, as well as not yet having done the comic: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/3na64moglubvrlz/02-2014 Update.jpg?dl=0 An update in May 2014 saying he is still struggling with completing projects and is having financial issues (none of which should have affected my commissions, since the materials were supposedly already purchased a year ago). https://dl.dropbox.com/s/ddqugvunlbr1m87/05-2014 Update.jpg?dl=0 After several PMs and emails later, I told Rubbertex that although I would be disappointed with not getting the suit and toy, I would accept a refund of the $1,600 paid if the projects were not completed by December 31, 2014. I can’t find any documentation where we talked about the drop dead date, so it might have been via texts or something. I have had it posted on my FA profile since October 2014: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/cgea1f13qu72wqs/FA Profile.jpg?dl=0 It is now March 8, 2015 and the projects still are not completed. Neither have the comic pages been completed, although Rubbertex has been doing LiveStreams fairly regularly since January, taking on all new work and completing that during the streams or shortly thereafter. Rubbertex is now avoiding the problem by not reading PMs on FA, such as this one I sent 10 days ago (02-27) asking for an update on the refunds for Tonka and me: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/mu2ybdt3pa6upnq/Unanswered PM 03-08-2015.jpg?dl=0 Even though he is still doing sketching live streams (this one is from 03-07): https://dl.dropbox.com/s/feg8woe1ww0pe10/Sketch Stream 03-07-2015.jpg?dl=0 He is also looking at FA as he responded to one of Oz Kangaroo’s journals on 03-01. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/xnppxkrjoe7yjed/Rubbertex journal post 03-01-2015.jpg?dl=0 I know Rubbertex is under a lot of stress and pressure and I honestly just want a refund of all of the money I’ve paid to this point: $1720. I would love to still get the items, but as far as I know, there are still at least 6 suits and toys in the queue before mine, so I don’t think it’s realistic that my projects will ever be done. *****UPDATE: 07-15-2015***** I received a PM from Rubbertex on FA, apologizing for not having the work done and saying he will give me a refund "within a reasonable time frame". I replied to him that I would still rather have the suit and toy, since he says "I'm taking a huge financial hit on the materials and labor", but I have not yet seen any evidence that the materials have even been purchased. I have tried to help him over the past few years to get his life and diet in order to reduce his anxiety, but it is up to him to change. our exchange is here: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/i2t648eszcs6ath/Rubbertex Refund PM on FA 07-11-2015.jpg?dl=0 The suit/toy building queue I mention is here: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/r6v2umlhnmd2slb/Rubbertex queue.png?dl=0
  7. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/824199.html WHO: Miiroku, BlueKyoKitty WHERE: http://miiroku.deviantart.com/ WHEN: December 7, 2013 PROOF: http://miiroku.deviantart.com/journal/Pony-Plush-Commission-417787086 ^original journal advertising commission http://imgur.com/a/xSQiJ ^original transaction http://imgur.com/a/2floM ^Me attempting to get in contact EXPLAIN: I originally commissioned Blue on their Deviantart journal in December of 2013. They claimed they needed money for Christmas gifts, and were offering a $50 pony plush. They estimated their time frame about about 3 months, but I told them to take their time, assuming it wouldn’t be more than 6 months. It’s now been 14 months, and according to their profile, my plushie is 10% complete. It was 7% for about 8 months, but has now apparently 3% more complete. My plushie is also scheduled to be completed AFTER the two other people in line, who have supposedly been waiting longer than me. I am mostly upset because I feel like I was used for a short-term loan with no interest paid. It’s been over a year now with no tangible progress (I’ve asked for updates over the months and basically I’ve been told that no real progress has been made), even though they have completed and sold many different pre-made plushies in the last 14 months. Blue has also been known to take on too many commissions, and refund people months later when they decide they don’t want to do them. I feel like this is an incredibly shady tactic, and again, like taking out small loans and just repaying whenever they feel like it. As you can see in the last album, I have messaged Blue many times in the past 2 weeks, and to my assumption, they haven’t even checked their messages. I would assume they weren’t online, but they have posted many new pieces of art and even livestreams in that timeframe, which leads me to believe they are deliberately ignoring their messages. I’m hoping to get my plush completed, and I’ll take a refund if I absolutely have to, but I’m honestly pretty pissed that I was used for a quick buck and just given a refund after all this time. EDIT: Removed irrelevant information.
  8. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/822980.html WHO: Kammymau, Mandymau, Mandymau5 WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kammymau/ WHAT: Headshot sketch WHEN: Paid on the 29th of December to be delivered on the 5th of January. Refund deadline of 3/4th of February. PROOF & EXPLAIN: Originally I was going to wait until I've received my refund, but after how unprofessional she's acted I feel I can post it now just dealing with her attitude alone. Kammymau posted for 12$ headshots on the 29th of December which I quickly nabbed up and sent payment for that same day. It was stated in the journal that they were "For Next Week" and my slot was for "Monday." Later in the week, red flags popped up regarding her attitude towards commissioners, and I began to become wary of whether or not my slot would be completed on time, namely the 2nd of January when she posted this journal. Luckily two days later, the 4th, she stated she'd be back to work. On the 5th, my date, she posted she'd be working on headshots that day, but needed 4 more slots for it to be a "batch." ??? By the end of the day there was no sign of the headshots being done, but on the 6th she posted she'd do them when she's "free again" followed by an art block journal the next day. I continued to wait, and finally on the 20th I sent a note requesting an update. She replied that she updated in a youtube video? and that she'd be doing it next week. On the 26th she posted a journal saying that she accidentally deleted SAI followed by that her computer may have a virus. ---- After taking account of the advice from an advice post I made here, combined with what I had witnessed in stream and being not 100% sold on her continued excuses, I sent a note stating I'd be more comfortable cancelling my commission than waiting an undetermined amount of time for it. She replied rather aggressively, which I was shocked by. I replied and tried to be as to-the-point as possible, expressing that I had never agreed (nor could find?) a ToS. She replied with one of the most unprofessional statements I have ever seen, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable as a commissioner. Furthermore, if she had sketched it, why not have brought that to my attention first instead of after I insisted on a refund? I sent my final reply, stating I'd wait a week again for the refund. She still has two days before the deadline I gave hits it's mark, but on the 1st she posted a journal that I felt was also another strike against her professionalism in direct relevance to this situation. http://puu.sh/fo6Fr/2a6bac8765.png In conclusion, she does great work but has an overall poor attitude in regards to separating her business and personal life, as well as handling her clients, and has issues meeting deadlines. EDIT || I actually paid 15$ instead of 12$ which I forgot to add in. On 2/3 I sent her a note as a reminder before I disputed the transaction. She replied, then shortly after posted this journal. (http://i.imgur.com/NPRkTep.jpg) I've also now received the refund.
  9. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/819893.html WHO: Vejiicakes WHERE: DA Account/Tumblr WHAT: $50 for two sketch fanwork pieces WHEN: The artist solicited sketch commissions in exchange for donations to hurricane relief in the Phillipines in late November 2013, with delivery promised within 1 - 3 weeks. I made a donation and my commission was accepted on 11/24/13. PROOF: Original post date (original post at artist's DA) Pricing and estimated delivery Proof of payment Acceptance (1, 2, 3, 4) Update requests and responses (1, 2, 3, 4, 4.5 (between the two emails in the previous cap), 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) Reimbursement request EXPLAIN: After my commission was accepted, I made my first update inquiry 1/2/14. I got a quick response regarding my place in line and hopes that commissions would go faster after the holidays. I requested updates twice more over the next two months with no response. The next update was a group email sent by the artist in March 2014 saying commissions would take longer than anticiapted. Since then, the only sign I've seen that my commission has been worked on was a WIP in August 2014. I requested one minor change on each piece, and there's been no progress since. Save for the group email, I've had to initiate contact every time to get an update, the artist will go weeks or months without responding, and there's always a fresh excuse for the lack of progress. She relegated the donation commissions to a "fandom" email she admitted she doesn't check often, has missed multiple self-imposed deadlines, and as time has passed, I've had to resort to alerting her on Tumblr and DA weeks after sending emails to get a response. My last request for an update was 1/4/2014, which she's opted to ignore (I've seen her active on Tumblr, so I know she's had internet access and seen the alerts I've sent letting her know she has mail). On 1/21/2015, I finally sent a request for either a realistic ETA or reimbursement, alerted her on her Tumblr the same day. I alerted her on her DA a week later, but there's been no response. I've been a fan of Vejii's "Authority" fanwork for a while, so this has just been a disappointing experience all around, from her initial delivery date (unrealistic given the amount of work she later admitted she took on), to her increasingly poor time management as this has progressed. Even taking the time spent in queue off the table, 5 - 6 months is lousy turn-around time for a couple of sketches, and having to practically hammer down an artist's door to get updates is never acceptable. ETA: Issue resolved. Artist reestablished contact on 2/1/15 to finish artwork and offer a partial refund for the wait.

What: The purchase was several vinyl stickers. When: original purchase was made in August, stickers were to be delivered in October. Proof: screenshots to follow Explanation: basically, I purchased several vinyl stickers from Tojo in august. She has since deleted the post on FA, so I do not have a screenshot of the stickers. They were dragon stickers that said F*** You Im a Dragon. I contacted her to find out the delivery date, and was told in october. I again waited patiently and contacted her about them after that date had passed. She said she had difficulties with her original printer, and was having to go with a different printer. I attempted to contact her to talk about getting a refund, at which point she told me the stickers were already printed and on their way to her.  She told me that she would only refund me the price minus the printing cost.  As these are NOT customized stickers, they are generic stickers, I feel that she could easily sell the stickers I do not want and I should be entitled to the full refund. She has refused. Paypal has stated that it is past the date that I can ask for a refund, so at this point, she has my money and will not give me a full refund. I no longer want the stickers at all. At the moment, she has my money AND the stickers. Resolution: Refund has been given, issue is considered resolved.
  11. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/807750.html WHO: Royal Tenrou WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/royal-dog and http://www.twitter.com/royaltenrou WHAT: Fullsuit WHEN: March 2011 to Now (November 2014) PROOF: Please note - You have to read the early emails from the bottom up. Click for larger versions. Proof of Payment: First emails (beginning of the breakdown): Previous Deadline: Last emails: EXPLAIN: In March 2011, I visited the Midwest and ended up staying with Royal for a few days after meeting him through a mutual friend on FA previously. He mentioned that he wanted to go beyond his regular 2D art and get into fursuit building and at that time I wanted to bring my alt character to life. He decided to take me on as his first project, charging me $500 for a fullsuit. In September of that year I sent him the $500 and sporadically communicated with him over the next two years. When I reached out to him in November 2013, he said that the project was on hold. I got upset and had a back and forth with him (illustrated above). I wanted the unfinished suit so I could get someone else to complete it and he refused. After a cool down period, I emailed him again in February 2014 and he finally made some decent progress. Over the next seven months he made great strides building the suit until he seemingly hit a brick wall in October where he stated that his workspace was being compromised due to a ceiling leak. After the 16th however, he stopped communicating completely, yet according to his still active Twitter he was able to find time to pursue other interests. It has been over three years for the suit and to be frank, I feel he has simply stopped working on it. At this point I feel a refund would be impossible to obtain and I simply want the unfinished suit so I can get a professional to finish it or for him to at least provide a update and finally get it done. I know things have been difficult for him, but three years is long enough to wait for something like this. UPDATE (12/18/14): After sending him an email stating that I was preparing to take him to small claims court over the issue, he finally sent a progress picture of the head. He also stated that he would not communicate with me until the suit is finished and he would send update pictures at his discretion only. Should I hold off on small claims court or should I pressure him into relinquishing the incomplete suit and just having someone else finish it? UPDATE (2/17/15): Around January he reached out to me with another update and ever since then he has been consistently in contact with me, complete with progress pictures. I'm really glad that this is working out without resorting court or anything. UPDATE (3/6/15): Communication has improved tenfold and the head is pretty much done! Only thing left are the paws and tail. I'm excited for the final product and it looks like this is on its way to being resolved. UPDATE (5/8/15): THE SUIT IS DONE! Since the previous update, he has been working all out to get it finished and I cannot put into words how happy and proud I am of him now. Communication was excellent the last two months (via DMs on Twitter) and the work itself blew my expectations out of the water. Waiting for the suit to finally arrive next week so I can take pics. This should be resolved as soon as I get the suit! UPDATE (5/20/15): I received the suit about two weeks ago and after putting it through its paces, all I can say is WOW! The head is well built (love the attention to detail such as the velcro strips that replicate the character's eye black stickers), the paws are super soft, and the tail is great. Sadly though, the bodysuit is too small and will need to be altered, not Royal's fault though since it was the first thing finished and that was around two years ago (the body was based on a three year old DTD... yea I got a bit fat >.>). Also the head was a bit tight and I had to remove the moving jaw, just added fleece to the gap and its all good now! I gotta say that its one hell of a suit and I absolutely love it! This is definitely resolved!

Note the dates. EXPLAIN: One of my friends recommended me to this artist because he was quite satisfied with a commission he did for him. Knuxlight was drawing bust commissions for $35, mostly practice. He took two batches, I was in the first - as you can probably figure out now, guess who was the one person in batch one that didn’t get anything then. Knuxlight then proceeded to talk about how he had school. Now I can understand that he was actually trying to do things to better his life. During this time, he didn’t take any commissions and then finished, graduating from school. In fact, he apologized for this right here. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5287222/ (You will note this was posted in November of 2013. In October, he had also said “Hey, tell me what you wanted” and did not provide a sketch.) Now, here’s what I really found suspicious: In 2014, he said the Busts will be worked on over weekends. (Source: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17247468/Screen Shot 2014-08-12 at 2.05.07 PM.png ) Until around July/August, I noticed that he made no attempt to contact me, and then I noticed there weren't any "Bust" tweets But here’s what I found oddly suspicious… …he had been taking more commissions. Which were all finished first. If you view his Twitter media, you will notice that he had been taking commissions for quite awhile - and actually finished them all. [NSFW WARNING!] At first, I assumed that these were owed work, but I have discovered since then that they were not, and he has been prioritizing new commissions. Throughout the month of September, I have attempted to contact him and remind him that the hard date he had given me and that I would like a refund or my commission, an he has not responded. Now, I know that I have screwed up on this in several ways: 1) I did not take a screenshot of the initial agreement. 2) I did not take a screenshot of the livestream chat when he was working on an icon (Which was a separate transaction.) and similarly, I do not know if I was thorough enough about that when I said “Say, do you also know when you’ll be able to work on my commission? I’m Anpumon on Twitter…’, and it likely got drowned out. 3) I should have noticed the red flags. I’m going to be extra careful to find them now. (You can find them all over his FA and Weasyl pages.) 4) Among the red flags is this entry right here http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/675756.html#comments where it’s revealed he had done this before.

I DM them on twitter asking them to contact me. I tell them I feel ghosted after 5 months, asking for the current state of the comish, and if none or minimal work has been completed I'd like a refund. They say they will need to look through their sketchbooks saying its 'most likely done'. This will be the last message I ever receive from them. July 31, 2023. I ask again for a refund or for an update on their sketchbook search. After this I stop trying to contact them. However on Oct 25th 2023 I make my own artist beware style post on my twitter and @ their handle, which would generate a notification for them. On Nov 23 2023, I notice they've changed their handle to Pup_Jaxces. Having sought multiple times over a full year to resolve this either with delivery or refund, and sAs they have other posts here on ArtistBeware with the same behavior I can only presume this is not a mistake and they have no intent to deliver the commission.

That said I feel like I need to warn potential buyers again (she’s been doing this a lot.) about Pirate-Cashoo/Cachet. All I would like to do is get in touch with her and get what I paid for or to have her reimburse me as 60 dollars is a lot of money to me and I could put it elsewhere or towards another artist who actually wants to do the artwork I‘d asked for. Now: On October 15th, 2012 I decided to get myself and my boyfriend at the time a set of icons from her as a gift, I have a screen cap of how that went above. I’m keeping anyone who is not me or Cashoo anonymous as I am the person with the problem here, and not the others involved so the grey text is only usernames/references that are not mine. Just so we’re clear. As you can read for yourself from the links, She seemed a little hesitant but told me that the wait would be a few months as she had a pretty big queue and so forth. I didn't mind waiting as I’d purchased another set of icons during the duration of the time, and as an artist myself I understand how art takes time and artists are not robots etc. I contacted her again on October 25th because the person I had originally wanted the icons with and I had split ways and after communicating with him I switched the person I wanted to get the icons with and she okayed it with me. Told me she had not started them yet which did not really surprise me as she’d mentioned prior until November she would be pretty busy. So I was okay with that response, and didn't contact her back until November 12th. I hadn't thought about when she told me she’d start them and had forgotten she had family plans. Again just being friendly and curious about them I shot her another note. I can’t unfortunately find the message she responded to me about but it was something along the lines of “Sorry I haven’t started them yet, my family is down…” It was all good, and I told her to have a good time with the family and again not to rush. I then contacted her in December as I was curious why she hadn't gotten a sketch to me, but figured it was Life issues. Told her I wouldn't mind seeing a sketch before she completed a final product as I was curious if she had made any progress on the icons. She in this time started to just entirely not read or ignore my notes, and I have not been able to anchor her down for a response since then. She did however -read- this note, so there is that. My last note I left on February 23rd 2013. I actually noted her on deviantART account prior to FurAffinity (i copied and pasted the message directly from the note i sent on deviantART) but she didn't respond to either or read the note on FurAffinity (I have no idea if you can check who reads what on deviantART as I don't use it aside from a place holder.) I’m not making this to get people mad towards Pirate-Cashoo, but I will say that I'm severely disappointed in her business management skills and as an artist who does this as a full time job I don’t understand her complete avoidance or lack of a schedule. I love her artwork but I feel like I need to warn others about her business practices, I'm very disappointed. I wanted to let you guys know that if I were you to watch out and maybe hold off on getting art from her. She's a friendly artist to communicate with but I'm kind of tired of lack of updates/getting a bunch of excuses from her. I hope that she reads this and gets at the very least in touch with me so either discuss a refund or give me a concise deadline. ~Lorena.
  17. Hello I am the bewaree, This beware was rightfully written. Every word is true and I was not in my right mind. I used my mental health, lifes experiences, and flaws as excuses. My work fell off my priority list as my world was crumbling beneath my feet. I was unable to own up to my shortcomings until it all imploded. I spoke to Lady Mae, and many others, in an appalling way. I became completely unhinged and threw my emotions onto them. For that I apologize. I caused a lot of stress and worry for a lot of people who were waiting for me to work. Who had every right to question my behavior. I let emotions run my life instead of owning up and making the necessary changes. I ran, I went on the defense, and let my ego take the wheel. I have made a lot of mistakes and I'm done running. I have issued refunds to every one of my past commissioners that I could find. there are Two whom I have not been able to locate. If they are reading this please comment so I may find you. It has been many years since this incident and through a lot of therapy and self care I have come to peace with who I used to be. But I will never forgive myself for what happened through the Angels nest fursuits or the Dutch angel dragon community. For the way I turned on a community that welcomed me with opened arms. For those who felt the wrath of my own internal uncertainties. For the people I met with harsh anger instead of professionalism and compassion... I do not deserve forgiveness. I can only hope that my refunds can assure people that I never intended for this to happen. My intent was to create joy, by bringing characters to life. I was NOT ready for what came along with it. I am a very flawed human being who is doing her best to move past the person I used to be. I will tell every person who has seen this beware, that I am trying to right what I have done. Ive searched within, ive broken, and im rising. I'm rebuilding myself but I DO want to create again. I will NOT accept peoples money before a product is produced, that is a Promise. I refuse to let history repeat itself. I will create with my whole heart and soul in every costume from here on out. I will still search for a way to give back to this community. I will not give up.

WHEN: July 9th 2018 — September 30th 2018 EXPLAIN: I recently found out that an FA user named SnowPaw2927 has blatantly traced several of my artworks and made profit out of it! This person has tried to commission me in the past only to ghost on me. I then later this year find out that they are tracing several of my artworks without my permission and selling it as original commissions. This person also repeatedly advertises that they take commissions within the virtual game "Second Life" and accepts Lindens (ingame currency), which can be converted into real money. Their gallery consist of mostly traced artworks of mine and other artists. Most of their profile descriptions and journals are also copy/pasted of others. They eventually took down my traced artworks (after some protest) from their gallery. Initially I wasn't going to bother making an artist-beware, not until I found out that they were also making profit with this unethical behaviour and I want to prevent future scams or other artists getting ripped off. They've claimed to be a big fan of mine. But please, there is so many other ways to support an artist you look up to! Tracing their work and scamming people into commissioning that, is far from the right path to grow as an artist! 19. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/1012021.html WHO: Tegan AKA CarrionCupcake WHERE: Original transaction was an in-convention commission at Furpocalypse 2017. Notes have been exchanged primarily through Fur Affinity since then. WHAT: Traditional con badge WHEN: October 27, 2017 (day one of Furpocalypse): I commissioned Tegan for a con badge. The base price was $80, but I asked Tegan to charge me $100 instead, with the extra $20 being a tip. Furpocalypse uses a system where the artist fills out the price on an invoice, which the buyer then brings to a central checkout and pays the teller. The teller then stamps the invoice to indicate it has been paid, and the buyer returns the stamped invoice to the artist. I paid the Furpocalypse teller in cash and unfortunately I no longer have my receipt after all this time, though the Furpocalypse staff might if pressed. October 28, 2017 (day two of Furpocalyse): I went to pick up my badge, as Tegan had promised a next-day turnaround. Tegan told me there it wasn't finished yet and to please check back tomorrow. October 29, 2017 (day three of Furpocalypse): I went again to pick up my badge, and Tegan once again said it had not yet been finished. Tegan asked if it could be done as take-home work, and I agreed. November 11, 2017: I sent Tegan a note on Fur Affinity asking for an update. (screenshot) The same day, Tegan replied and said it would be posted "this week." (screenshot) December 26, 2017: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. (screenshot) Tegan read it but did not respond. February 18, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. (screenshot) February 19, 2018: Tegan replied only with "Hey what's your next con?" (screenshot) February 20, 2018: I informed Tegan that I will probably be doing Furpocalypse again this year. (screenshot) Tegan read the note but did not respond. June 3, 2018: I asked Tegan if I'm to understand from that exchange that the badge will be ready before Furpocalypse? (screenshot) June 4, 2018: Tegan replied that it would actually be scanned, posted, and mailed to me "this week" if I could provide my address (screenshot) June 4-8, 2018: I asked Tegan if it would be all right to send my mailing address via email instead of Fur Affinity notes, because I don't particularly trust the latter. Tegan agreed, and I did so. I'm not providing screenshots of the email since it's literally just me providing my mailing address (which is not information that should be posted here anyway), but here (screenshot) is a confirmation note back on Fur Affinity, informing Tegan that the email had been sent. As of when I submitted this post to a_b, I never received anything in the mail. July 10, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. (screenshot) July 11, 2018: Tegan replied informing me that the scan would be posted "this week." (screenshot) July 22, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. (screenshot) July 11, 2018: Tegan replied informing me that the scan would be posted "today or tomorrow." (screenshot) August 5, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. (screenshot) August 6, 2018: Tegan replied informing me that the scan would be posted "tomorrow." (screenshot) August 8, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. Though there had been a soft unspoken inferring up to this point that Tegan needed only to scan and post the badge, the lack of updates over this long a time lead me to ask more directly and formally: The badge actually is finished, yes? (screenshot) Tegan read it but did not respond. August 13, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. Because of how long it has been and especially the lack of response to my direct question, I started to more overtly show doubts that this badge is indeed finished. I asked for a refund if it was not. (screenshot) Tegan replied after "finally [getting] home" that the scan would be posted by "tomorrow." (screenshot) August 16, 2018: I sent Tegan a note asking for an update. I also asked what is causing all these delays. I repeated my stance that I would like a refund if the badge had not actually been completed, as Tegan still had not directly answered that. (screenshot) Tegan replied complaining about having a lot going on, but promised to get the scan "soon." (screenshot) August 23, 2018: I dropped a sharply-worded ultimatum on Tegan. (screenshot) The main point, to quote a passage from the middle: "You still have yet to answer a simple and direct yes or no question that I've asked several times now: Does my badge actually exist? Have you drawn it yet, in all this time? If so, prove it. It really should not take two and a half months now just to scan something. If you haven't started it yet, then please don't. I will instead take a full refund." Because of the repeated delays promising updates soon/tomorrow/etc. I informed Tegan that I felt the only way to get the matter resolved was to attach a deadline: I expected either the badge or a refund by September 1, or I would take the matter to a_b. August 27, 2018: Tegan replied "now that [Tegan is] home" understanding and thanking me for the warning, and promising to talk to me "soon." (screenshot) August 31, 2018: Tegan sent me another note suggesting it may have to wait until Sunday the 2nd, rather than the 1st as originally promised. Tegan promised to include extra sketches for the trouble, and to pay for shipping with tracking. (screenshot) September 3, 2018: The September 1 deadline came and went, and so did the September 2 deadline, so I wrote and submitted this post here. EXPLAIN: I still have not received anything after almost a full year of "today/tomorrow/this week/soon" promises. I still do not believe this badge ever existed, which leaves me at a loss regarding how to deal with Tegan's offer on August 31. I very specifically and directly, more than once, instructed Tegan not to draw this badge if it had not already been made, because I would rather have a refund at this point. Tegan never did answer the direct yes-or-no question of whether this badge ever existed. If it did not (which I very strongly suspect) but Tegan then threw something together this weekend to meet the deadline, that would directly go against my frequently-repeated wishes. One could argue that receiving the badge+bonus sketches+complimentary shipping with tracking would at least be something, and that was why I was persuaded to give Tegan one more day per the note on the 31st. Even now, a part of me is worried I'm going to click "Submit" on this and then received the finished product half an hour after I posted it, and end up looking silly for that. However, I look back on this entire history and... well, I'm sorry, but I simply can't believe Tegan anymore. Tegan implied I'd be getting the scan any second now, but Tegan has been implying that for months. At this point, I just want the matter resolved. By refund, preferably, but I might just have to take what I can get.
  20. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/1008605.html WHO: Murdoxy/Stellary/Inkyfox/Spiffy WHERE: Furaffinity & Email WHAT: Three digital pieces, valued at a total of $45. WHEN: September 2014 EXPLAIN: In September of 2014 I decided to purchase three pieces from (then) Murdoxy. Equaling up to $45 total. I ordered these from Murdoxy from my Furaffinity account Blysse as seen below: Note 1 This is where I inquired originally about the commission. Note 2 This is where we agreed on the price. Note 3 Confirming payment Note 4 First (and only) WIP. On October 10th I received a WIP (as seen in the 4th note above) of two of the three commissions seen here: WIP 1 WIP 2 These would be the only images of those commissions I would ever see. On October 19th, 2014 Murdoxy posted a journal about moving over to the account Stellary. Journal Seen Here Once the move was finished a journal was posted on Stellary's to-do list with me shown on it as paid and sketched even to this day. To-Do List On Stellary As Of Today After some time passed I wanted to know why I had not received my commission so I checked in on Stellary. Admittedly I should have checked in ALOT sooner but honestly I forgot about the commission for a while. I came back to Stellary's page to find this journal about them leaving Furaffinity for good. Journal About Leaving Fa Posted May 10th, 2016 So I did exactly what Stellary suggested, which was contact them via Email. I emailed Stellary THREE times over the next year without ever getting a reply. I also left a shout on Stellary's Furaffinity account hoping to get some kind of answer. Email 1 (Jan 20th, 2017) Email 2 (May 25th, 2017) Shout (Left the same day as email 2, May 25th, 2017) Email 3 (admittedly I was getting a bit agitated at this point. This was on Dec 9th, 2017 and I have still had no answer at this point from Stellary). So now we get to today. So today I woke up and was checking on old commissions. I had honestly forgotten about Stellary for a while since it had been almost four years now since I commissioned them. I checked Stellary's account to see if anything new was posted and found this shout. To me this seemed to indicate that Stellery had a new account under "Spiffy" they were operating from again. I checked their Leaving Fa journal again and it seems they used the same name for their tumblr so the name of the new account seemed to match up. Leaving Fa Journal Again For Reference Of The Tumbler name Being The Same As The New Fa Name "Spiffy" So I decided to send this new account a note to see if I could finally go ahead and get a refund. Low and behold Spiffy has blocked me on BOTH of my main accounts (the one I used to commission them back in 2014 and the new account I have switched to since then). Message I Tired To Send (I actually see now that I made a mistake when messaging Spiffy and said two years ago when it was really four years, but that isn't really the point). Block Proof I was able to send my message out from my VERY old account that I also use to watch Murdoxy on here. I sent this early this morning but as of this posting it has not been read by Spiffy. But I honestly have very little hope of them replying. So far I have been completely ignored and then blocked by Stellary/Murdoxy/Spiffy for wanting information on a commission that is almost four years late at this point. I realize I waited longer than I should have to follow up on the commission but I don't believe I deserve to be ran off on because of it. I really didn't want to submit one of these because I am normally able to solve these types of issues myself, however in this case I feel I have done all I can on my own. At this point all I want from the artist is a refund so that we may both move on with our lives. One of the characters I commissioned from them I no longer own and another one of them has since been retired. Getting the art at this point would almost be a disappoint. PROOF: All attached files are located in order here. Edit 1: As of 1:50 PM CST today 08/08/2018 Spiffy has read my note about a refund but has not replied. I will update again if they reply. Edit 2: Fixed the links. Sorry about that! Edit 3: As of 11/23/2018 the artist had still not replied. I suspect I was blocked again. I don’t intend to make any further attempts to contact them on furaffinity because of their rules, however I may email the artist again in the future about this. If so I will update again as needed.
  21. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/1005457.html WHO: Athena The Jackal WHERE: Biggest Little Fur Con 2017 Twitter: http://Twitter.com/athenathejackal Telegram: @athenathejackal FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/~athena~/ WHAT: headshot Perler bead badge WHEN: June 4, 2017 - present EXPLAIN: I realize some of my Twitter photos are out of order and I’m omitting a LOT of our arguing in-between some posts, but feel free to peruse her public Twitter for the full conversation as well as her attitude toward dealing with myself and others. I commissioned Athena for a Perler bead badge on June 4, 2017 at BLFC. I paid somewhere near $130 in cash, so I have zero paper trail. (A stupid move on my part, I know) At this point I have accepted I will not be getting a refund, and at this point I don’t even know when or if I’ll be getting my badge. We never really had good contact, but I’m a relatively patient person. As you can see from my Telegram posts, I let months sometimes slide in-between contact with her before trying to get something from her. On November 16 on Telegram, she said that my badge would be completed by MFF, and then shipped to me after the show. When nothing came about it, I asked again about my badge and on January 11 was told my badge would be done “at the end of next week”. https://drive.google.com/open?id=13RzS3kgroWv8RZOhmepHr4pBYtPpyO_L On January 10 on Twitter, she posted a batch of badges she recently completed — mine was not among them. I still have no clue what the size of her queue is, since she doesn’t have it publicly posted, so naturally I get worried. It takes her another solid TWO MONTHS from the original post to finally come forward about what’s happened to her. On March 15, she starts replying to messages, saying that her PayPal was hacked, and she had a bunch of personal drama going on. I totally get that real life sometimes takes over, and she did show another batch of badges March 31 that were finished. I don’t know how long it takes to make these badges, but I think I have waited long enough. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-oUSM7y4zAeWTC7_hlrwYpTiLavLuaHa Little did I know her queue was over 200 people deep by the time I commissioned her at BLFC’17. My commission is “11th from the bottom.” https://drive.google.com/open?id=1J1h-7LTavLznLvLFpSIXHzML_sYy1mff She told me on Twitter she was doing badges in order of who’s angrier. I’m not good at being angry, and I haven’t been particularly vocal about her until recently, so apparently people on her queue have been shuffled around ahead of me. Of course, no one knows this because she has no public queue visible anywhere. I told her she should stick to her queue in order of who ordered first, and not jump around. Due to the insane wait I’ve already had (uninformed on wait due to no public queue) and her saying that she’s doing the badges out of order, I requested a refund. Instead of offering a solution for her to get my refund, she merely showed me the screenshots of her PayPal and bank statement a second time, telling me how she had bills coming up. In order for me to get my refund, she tells me that I have to find someone to take my spot, essentially advertise for her. I’m sorry, but finding my refund is not my job. I told her this, repeated that I wanted my refund, and said I would be taking my business elsewhere. I do not want the thing I paid for. I do not want to advertise for her. She threatened in a Tweet that she would rather just vanish instead of completing everyone’s commissions. https://drive.google.com/open?id=16xGdffhNCYBhTubJsy8lh8EjKj_G9Kpj She told a friend of mine that she didn’t owe me anything because “I didn’t sign a contract.” https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qXNPGxpGLRCOWAjriz-Q73NeWj3p_yyX https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ENjpL5krhTmkR-VwZGIxliFMRlM_ej-a It has been clear through her dealings that she will never refund me, nor does it seem like she’ll ever return to posting her Perler badges. She made a post back in all this hulaballoo that says she can make 1-2 badges a day https://drive.google.com/open?id=1M0IJ6qpuDbKvMkwnKknRY-Xff5n4Vnli but yet, since March 31, hasn’t posted a single new finished product. A Twitter user pointed me to her Facebook, where I messaged her privately to ask about her queue and my refund. She accepted and saw the message, but didn’t reply, which blatantly told me she’s stealing my money, and probably countless others as well. I am currently in the process of reviewing my county’s laws about a small claims court case. PROOF: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-CRMnWk74TjWb1NF7NtTCujDcfI_HMUz

PROOF: The agreement and the PayPal invoice. EXPLAIN: I commissioned Sanny for 2 YCH gifs that he was offering for $100: Example(NSFW). I usually check in every month or so to see if progress is being made, and for the first month, he told me "it's getting there." After seeing him post some more commissions and then advertise daily stream commissions, I decided to check in again the next month and was told that it's a slow process, but it's still happening. A little later, he messaged me back with the first preview and I approved it, but had him make a slight change a few days later, after which he sent me the revised WIP. After another month or so, I decided to ask a few people who had also commissioned the same YCH to get an estimate of how long it should take, and the responses were anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. After this, I asked him for another update and was told that there wasn't much to show yet. I was going to ask for a refund at the 5-month mark, but he delivered the first piece right before then. I asked for a progress update on the second piece 4 months later and was told again that "it's getting there," and after another 4 months I get the WIP for the second image. I haven't heard anything since and he's still posting up more commissions. EDIT: Finally got the second piece on October 2, 2018, so this whole ordeal took a little over 1 year and 9 months. EDIT 2: Apparently, it wasn't the final version and he said he'll inform me when the updated version is done, so back to waiting again.

PROOF: Character Ownership https://imgur.com/a/JsMrGU6 (NSFW included) However After the stolen character artwork of Derrik he commissioned of in 2018 late June were posted, I caught him started editing the description & changed the credits of the character, so he can claim it as his & make it more recognizable as his so that way the stolen character will be officially as his and get away with it, But he forget to update the older submission description of Derrik that's on his gallery which is a pretty shameful behavior https://imgur.com/a/1yVd8Ng (NSFW included) Little Note & Advice for artists: please do not draw anything for him that involve my Ocs, as i am not longer associated with said the thief, I've known them for a while but cut ties & blocked the communication, so i do not wish to stay in contact with them in any way Anyway i advice you to check character source first, especially if it comes from this guy. When: 2016-Present Explain: Spodur opened up holiday customs for their closed species Skullieds on around December 10th, 2016. On that day, I commented with custom details and claimed a slot, and sent the 10USD for the base custom price. Soon after, Spodur's tablet malfunctioned and they were unable to do much for the month of December. In January, Spodur announced they had acquired a Cintiq and would resume work on customs shortly. Eager to see the finished product, I decided to hold off on messaging them for a while. Radio silence ensued with Spodur submitting a few things here and there well into September when they stopped mentioning working on owed art entirely. I finally sent them a note over DA on December 10th of 2017, a full year after I initially ordered. They read the note and did not respond, and have still not responded as of this writing. Spodur made an update on January 14th of this year saying they would be working on owed Skullied but as mentioned before, I have not heard anything about my owed custom. Proof: All proof is here https://sta.sh/22f2jcwcjb03 As of 9/10/18, Spodur and I have reached a resolution!
