1. While I approved of this previous comment, this is a polite reminder to keep comments business focused. Adiago has had a history of poor behavior since she went by Sevva-Phoenix almost a decade ago, but we don't want to pull away from what happened to OP.
2. A comment was not posted. Let's please avoid making sweeping generalizations about people taking emergency commissions.
3. Changed Resolved to Yes
4. Good to hear! We've marked this as resolved!
5. Just as an aside, since this appears to be a bank initiated chargeback, this can happen on any payment processor that you're using. Changing away from PayPal won't prevent these kinds of incidents from happening.
6. If Paypal is saying they need to talk to his bank, then this is one of those instances where it's not their fault. They don't really get a say in what happens because the issue didn't arise through them. A chargeback = initiated through a bank. Bypasses Paypal. Usually smacks you with an extra charge beyond the initial sale. Paypal can't do anything in these instances except refund you out of their own pocket if they so wish. Usually sellers lose these because most banks and cards have fraud protection which guarantees the actual cardholder gets their money back. A claim = initiated through Paypal. This is where Paypal's team reviews a case and decides in favor of someone.
7. May 5, 2014 https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/763782.html It was rejected first cause it was too early, but since she blocked me after trying to solve it, I think it's fair to post it now. WHO: Skippy-Adopts http://skippy-adopts.deviantart.com/ WHERE: Skippy-Adopts on DeviantART not sure about other accounts. WHAT: An adoptable I bought, then was taken back forcefully without notifying me at all. WHEN: May 11th 2013 PROOF: On May 11th-12th I saw a cute adoptable (screenshots in case of deleted.) on DeviantArt and decided to autobuy it. The paid for transaction for points was too far back in my transactions however it still shows it in her donation pool on her page. EXPLAIN: On May 12th I autobought an adoptable from Skippy-Adopts as stated above. Today I posted I'm re-homing my characters because they no longer get the love they used to get. So I wanted them to have better attention and posted a journal that they're for sale/trade for other stuff. I've had this character since a while so it comes with a bunch of art but even so after a while it didn't get the attention it used to get anymore. So couple days ago I got notified that Skippy re-sold the design I bought from her without my permission or notifying me at all. (screenshot because she removed it) So basically it was stolen from me as well as all the art, did a few tiny changes to the design and that's it. I left a comment on it that it was harsh and just unfair to claim it back, because I care for characters and getting their deserved love. But this is just rude and I felt betrayed. I notified the person who bought that re-sold design that they will have to deal with a twin one. They said they're fine with that, I told them I'm not sure if I ever find a new owner for her if the new owner would be alright with that. I didn't mind on my part but the art would not be related to it. I commented that it wasn't fair on the re-sold submission, days later Philo commented she wanted her points back when I told her the situation whereby I commented again "the only way to solve it was to refund her the points and delete the re-sold adoptable." Apparently she went for the way so I couldn't reply to her by blocking me after removing. Now that I'm re-posting this as of today, she deleted the image and has blocked me so I couldn't contact back at all. I wish she handled this maturely and apologized for stealing back the character, but instead she took the attitude way out to block me. Please beware of this person if you adopt(ed) something, who knows who will be next with getting their character stolen back without knowing, just because you want to give it a better home.
8. I know that we asked you to cut a lot out due to trying to keep into the scope of the site. Adiago has been like this for over a decade, so while I commend you for trying to see the good in people as per your text in a previous submission, I'm baffled why people continue to work with her in the first place. I suppose with the loss of LJ archives/ lack of use of LJ where a lot of this was documented people don't know too much about her history. Thank you for coming forward, Raven. It's a beware well warranted.

We're revisiting that stance! I just need to make an official announcement.
10. I'm sorry that you had to learn the hard way that this is why a lot of us charge upfront. But also this client saying they're broke from the get go would have been a red flag to not even work with them. If you prefer to be pay upon completion there are a number of escrow services out there that require the client to pay up front and you get paid when the piece is delivered.
11. Unfortunately, because you're out of the Paypal window you're really only left with three options: - Continue to remind them and wait. - Write a beware and hope that prompts them to refund you sooner. - Write it off as a loss. Without IDing the artist, have they lost their Paypal due to too many claims put out against them? If so it sounds like you may have unfortunately commissioned someone who is stuck in a cycle. They need money for bills > they take on work to cover the bills > their prices are so low that they can't reasonably finish the work in time > the next billing cycle comes up and they're backlogged.
12. Howdy! We've recently learned some concerning news about Livejournal that has prompted our staff to make archiving a priority. On top of LJ stating they will delete inactive accounts, recently their staff has gone silent and cross posting to LJ from DreamWidth no longer works. Staff being silent is a big concern, so we don't want to delay any longer on archiving. - Why has archiving taken so long? Archiving was admittedly on the back burner. Our mods were handling it as they had spare time. Most of this work can't be automated as Livejournal doesn't play nicely with attempts to pull from them. Either posts didn't have dates on them or no tag information or both. To add to that, some old posts prior to Dani/ Kayla-la's ownership didn't follow the guidelines we have now. Or tags were handed out just because someone was mentioned, and not because they did anything wrong. So each post prior to her ownership has to be rereviewed and censored when necessary before being brought over to the site. - Can't you keep the community active? We can! The issue is we don't know how LJ is going to delete accounts. Will they just be strikethroughs like a standard deletion, or will it be a complete wipe? We don't want to find out as posts disappear. - Can I help by porting in my own posts? Please don't! You'll confuse our mods. - Can I help in any other way? If you're a long time member of the old LJ and/or mutuals with me on twitter please reach out if you'd like to help archiving from Dani's ownership forward. Those do not require us to review posts, and I need to be able to trust you to have temporary moderation abilities here on site. I planned on compensating non-staff volunteers, and we can discuss it if you'd like to be compensated for your time. Interested parties can reach me via on site PM or via my james @ artistsbeware.info email - What happens if LJ does delete entries? The good news is we already have a complete port on site. It's hidden with no dates and no tags. Basically a complete mess, but it's there! If push comes to shove, we can pull old posts from there.
13. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/655276.html EDIT 2/19: I got this note and I replied today: http://i48.tinypic.com/b8pb43.png (Fixed Link to hide my Address) I'm just really sick of excuses that may or may not be true and want my stuff sent. WHO: PuddingCup88 WHERE: PuddingCup88.deviantart.com WHAT: A Trade for a Fursuit Head and Tail (From Me) For A Keyblade prop, Tail, Feet Base, and some fur. (From Her) WHEN October 14th, 2012 - Maybe January when I started having trouble. PROOF: http://oi50.tinypic.com/2it2791.jpg http://oi47.tinypic.com/24pky75.jpg http://oi49.tinypic.com/2zqalcm.jpg http://oi47.tinypic.com/1pckmx.jpg EXPLAIN: So, I saw her work in a group, and really loved her feetpaws, so I sent over a note asking about them. That's what her first comment replies to. We struck up a kind of friendship during this. This was my first trade, and I was new to the business world. I really loved a keyblade she had made as well, which became one of the items in the trade. All went well, easy contact and exchanging necessary information. I do believe -- this should have been a red flag for me -- My biggest mistake was to agree to send it in time for Halloween. I sent out the package, and I asked about her sending the keyblade. I should've taken "My Mom Sent it" as another red flag at that point. I'm thinking I missed some Notes here (Went through all my notes) or the messages were through skype, as she had failed to tell me that Pakko arrived, and I only knew because of shipping. I had posted an advice post around now about this, as the keyblade was taking longer to arrive than it should have. Luckily it arrived around a week after that. Contact seemed to have died after she got Pakko. She decided to sell him after Halloween ( http://oi48.tinypic.com/13z5u15.jpg ) which I wouldn't really have minded much if it was not for the fact I had only ONE of the items she needed to send me. So, I proceeded to send her a note in November or December for updates. Come January and still nothing, despite her stating she's going to send everything out. By now I had gotten more experience dealing in business, and simply was quite angered at this, and wanted to get it over with and get my stuff. Now it's February. I've completed 1 complete head, 1 almost complete head, and 2 head bases in this time, so I have gained more experience in buying and selling and simply do not comprehend how she is not done and shipping things to me. I'm just really annoyed, and decided it's finally time to make a Beware on her.
14. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/655973.html WHO: Sweetnightmare - Operator of Business Scixzor - Husband and Business partner. He handles customer service tickets when silver is "overwhelmed" WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sweetnightmare WHAT: A partial fursuit originally to be finished on Dec 25th as the deadline. (Later extended, as will explain.) WHEN: Aug 2012 - Feb 2013 Proof/Explain: - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4344146/ - FurAffinity Admins asked to take down the journal, here is a screenshot of it. http://imgur.com/EowoH5R I commissioned sweetnightmare in Aug of 2012 to create a fursuit of my fursona Inukaza. I paid up front, later upgrading to a full suit. When I first commissioned her, I made a request to be updated by photo every month. At first, she was willing, and sent updates. October was the last update I received. Afterwords, every half-month I would ask for a photo update, to which she would respond that they did not have a camera to take the update with. Contrary to that fact, they were still able to upload pictures with a camera that they acquired, yet still were able to come up with a excuse to not give progress photos. Oh wait. That's because they were hiding the fact that there was no process. Well, to make this factual, reasonable process. Today, Feb 15th, 2013, 5 months, 20 days from the day I ordered the product, I received a box full of supplies. To clarify, I asked her to send me the supplies, because it was getting absurd about how long I was waiting. The due date for this project was in December. What did I receive? What does almost 6 months of progress look like? 1. A few yards of black and brown fur. Not enough for full suit, maybe not even enough brown to create the rest of the partial. Once I check with the amazing person who might be finishing this suit for me, I'll update this. ( http://i.imgur.com/6JzTZRY.png ) 2. Foam Base ( http://imgur.com/a/Elifk ) <--- Actual photo. 2.A. Here is a progress photo she sent from Oct. 2012. Please compare. ( http://i.imgur.com/vNIAGZv.jpg) 3. White and Black sculpey, for teeth and mouth. 4. Slippers. (I can't tell where she got them from, decent.) 5. Foam for eyes, mouth, ears. 6. Cut-outs for paws. Not sewn in. 7. Some thread. (Here's her actual list of what she said she was sending me. She sent what she said she would. http://i.imgur.com/BYI5sNo.png). What's not included? 1. Polyfill, she said there was no room in the box to put it. I beg to differ, I personally could have fit it in there. However, I won't argue it, as it could be said to have been done to not crush the head base. 2. Foam for foot paws. At this point, it would have been nice to still offer a refund for those supplies or buy a bigger box, I was paying for shipping either way. 3. Completed fursuit. Seriously. (By this I mean it in a sarcastic way, I know I asked for the materials, however, I was led to be aware up until she told me what was in the package that the tail, footpaws, and more of the handpaws were done. So, recap. I got a foam base, and supplies to make a fursuit. Meaning, tail wasn't even started to be worked on. Handpaws only partially done, and head....well, you can see with the photos from above. You might be asking, why did I deal with this? She apparently has had tons of issues thought out the past few years. I want to, and I actually do, believe her. Of course, shit happens, sometimes you have to deal with what's thrown at you. Bad anxiety, home issues, relationship issues. (She her journals on her page to confirm and read up on the nature of it and make your own opinions). I felt bad, and I went along with it. However, throughout my contacts with her, I was constantly led to believe that this project would be done sooner. Here's some documentation. 10/03/2012: I asked what I can expect to be done by the next monthly update. ( http://i.imgur.com/SsuCNb9.png ) 10/23/2012: I asked how many commissions are ahead of mine, to get a gauge on how many she has. Just a FYI, at this point she has started selling her services every other week. She still is selling fursuits at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/JNQxy7h.png ) 10/29/2012: I was discussing upgrading to a full suit. I asked for a photo update for the month of November now, she said her cam was being derpy. ( http://i.imgur.com/J5xCdVT.png ) 11/05/2012: I asked her about a time frame to expect the photos. She mistakenly confused it for asking when the suit was done, and clarified her deadline. As well as promising to get my photo update. ( http://imgur.com/a/8qU6N ) 11/29/2012: I am getting really ticked at this point. I tell her that even though I'm her friend, it's stupid that this is becoming impossible to get updates. Her husband comes over on her skype to explain the situation. I made her aware that if she can not deliver updates, do not promise them. ( http://imgur.com/a/PhiZo ) This same day, she says she needs more time on the suit. ( http://imgur.com/QlqCQ3N ). 12/13/2012: Asked for a photo update. Never came. ( http://i.imgur.com/1E5IKad.png ). 12/26/2012: I asked for a update. No response. ( http://i.imgur.com/7LVnZha.png ). 1/02/2013: She offered a refund at this point when I confronted her about the updates, but with no sight of when I'd get it. At this point, I've heard stories from past commissioners who have stated that when they asked for a refund they didn't receive it til half a year later. I opted to keep on going with it. ( http://imgur.com/1CZcSfR ) This is where the lies start kicking in. She lied about the progress the suit was in. She states the tail and feet are done. Neither of which were started in reality. And the hand paws were further progressed than what they were in reality. ( http://i.imgur.com/6vahOk4.png ). 1/03/2013: Apparently there is now four suits in front of me. Remember back in Oct. 2012 when there were only three that were almost done? ( http://i.imgur.com/GphSFXV.png ). Late Jan/ Early Feb: She moved to a new house, as you can see by reading her new journals. Obviously and understandably, suit making was not the first thing on her mind. At this point I'm getting tired of asking for updates. 2/02/2013: I asked for another update. She said there were more suits in front of mine. Others were rushed orders. No shit, really, mine is a rush order by now. It's 2 months overdue at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/VLESINJ.png ) She requested me to send all updates to her husband, scixzor scixzor. All updates, notes, requests that I sent to him were read, and ignored. By ignored, I mean he did not send a response, including those that deliberately requested him to reply. ( http://i.imgur.com/68oVAog.png ) 2/05/2013: I asked her to just send me supplies for unfinished suit so I could finish it myself. I am still under the impression that everything is pretty much done. She still says that it would be done and shipped by the end of Feb, the absolute final due date. ( http://i.imgur.com/K33TUGA.png ) 2/06/2013: She sends a message saying she wants to send me the unfinished suit. ( http://i.imgur.com/JfsoxgJ.png ) I asked her to write a detailed invoice telling what she has done, and what needs to be done. Mostly for the reason of making this journal. It was a way for her to defend herself and for things to be factual to back up my claims. She didn't send it, saying she forgot. ( http://imgur.com/QcoJAL6 ) 2/08/2013: Items sent via UPS. I paid shipping. ( http://i.imgur.com/6Hw6ekt.png ). 2/15/2013: I received items, here is a video of me opening it and going though it. Please excuse the bad lighting, out lights our out in that area of our apartment. Also, NSFW language. This was the first time I saw those items. I was pissed. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMP5FpmFoKA ) OVERALL: I feel I was scammed. She's not a reliable fursuit maker. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend commissioning her. If you have already done so, make your own choice. If you want to take this to heart, I would make the choice to cancel your order. If you want more proof, send me a note with your questions and I'll be happy to provide you with more information. Additional Information: I canceled the commissioned after a financial hardship on 1/21/13, I asked to have it reinstated on 1/27/13. ( http://imgur.com/a/E3jbu ) She was completely fine with it, not giving me any reason to believe this was a issue. The original deadline was Dec 25th. Second deadline was Feb 1st. Third Deadline was March 1st. Each time extended because I asked if she needed more time, thinking she was almost done. ( http://imgur.com/a/1ANhI ) I said I wanted to take the stress off her and take the items. I still thought that the Tail, hand paws, and foot paws were completely done, and the head was ready to foam until after this happen when she clarified what would she be sending me.( http://i.imgur.com/baidQSA.png ) Aftermath of the journal: I received several messages asking for me to take down my review, I refused. She wanted to fix this by letting me return the materials I asked for and finishing it faster. However, the entire reason I asked for the materials, legitimately, was to send them to another suit maker to use them. There is no way this can be fixed, as this is a complaint about customer service and not the fact that I expected a completed suit when I asked for the materials. There was a strong smell of smoke on the suit, I didn't think much of it. However, it turns out the person I sent the materials to finish my suit is actually allergic, so take that to heed.
15. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/658026.html EDIT: I got my designs today, so this can be marked as resolved. c : WHO: Rehmiel WHERE: http://rehmiel.deviantart.com/ WHAT: I ordered a digital art commission of two character designs. I gave the artist a description of what I wanted, and the commission was accepted. I promptly payed for the designs. Here is a screen-cap of the entire transaction. http://i.imgur.com/dXKajc1.png WHEN: I commissioned Rehmiel on July 31st, 2012. I received no contact since then, and have finally decided to contact about my commissions on February 8th. PROOF: Here is the paypal transaction. http://imgur.com/FQm56J7 EXPLAIN: I commissioned Rehmiel for the designs on July 31st, 2012. I also payed on this date. Several months passed and I never heard from Rehmiel concerning my commission. Rehmiel mentioned to some potential customers that they were a little backed up on commissions, so I figured that maybe they simply had a lot of commissions and that it'd take a while before they got to mine. I continued to wait. On February 8th, I noticed that they uploaded a design for sale. By that time, I was no longer interested in the designs, because it'd been so long. I decided that I would send a note asking about a possible refund, or at least status on my commission. http://gyazo.com/51e82b96c7e00749ecdb9a24229563b5 My note was quickly read, but was not replied to. I waited a week before sending another note. http://gyazo.com/fb0ce38cf5a644784ee3975dc8584ca7 (I accidentally put June instead of July.. That was a mistake on my part.) The note went unread. Since then, I have not been able to get in contact with Rehmiel. I would add more screencaps of communication, but the thing is, there wasn't any. I was never contacted once after I sent the payment. I recently found that the artist has been active on Tumblr, including uploading personal art. I'm unsure why my notes have not been read or replied to. But I would really love to resolve this and find a solution that works for both of us. Edit: On March 1st, I was able to get in contact with Rehmiel again after sending an ask on Tumblr. I was informed that my commission would be worked on, and that a refund was not possible. (screen cap: http://gyazo.com/34b534c2670bce397cf412647e3a8d2c ) I replied to the note, but since then, I have received no further contact, and my reply went unread. Will update this with further information if I am contacted again. Hoping to see a resolve soon.
16. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/657163.html WHO: Clay Mann aka TitanFalls WHERE: Fan Expo (Canadian comic convention) Also does work at deviantart, and titanfalls.com. This artist is a professional comic book artist that currently works for Marvel Comics. WHAT: A hand drawn commission of an X-Men character (traditional art). I approached Mr. Mann in person at the 2011 Fan Expo Comic Convention. This con is a 4 day convention, and we spoke very early on during day 1. The art was paid for in cash, $100 Canadian, up front by myself and two other friends (who each also paid $100 CAD for a piece each of their own). Each day of the convention we were told to come back and check in to see progress, and by day 4 Clay had left early to catch a flight home. Before he left, he asked each of us to email him with our addresses so that he could mail the art to us directly, implying that the pieces were with his luggage at the time. WHEN: The transaction began on August 23, 2011 which was also the date of the payment. Within a week after the con myself and both of my friends emailed him with our personal addresses. PROOF: My post-con email; friend #1's post-con email. EXPLAIN: After no reply, I waited about one month later to reach him again (Sept 30, 2011), this time trying both of his email addresses. That email was responded to 3 days later with an apology stating that he was very busy working on a mini (Magneto, which was only 3 issues long) for Marvel that required his attention. He told me to pass that along to my friends, which I told him that I would (and did). I did not hear from Clay again at all after this time. He opened up commissions again on Feb 14, 2012 on his deviantart and blog, so upon seeing this I sent him another email asking for an update, which was ignored. Friend #1 sent him another email in May 2012. This email was ignored. Friend #2 was able to reach him July 2012 and was told that all three commissions were being sent to her so that she could pass them along to us. She did not hear from him again, and no commissions were mailed to her. At this time he did apologize and gave us another reason for his busy-ness. Which is fine; crap hits the fan for people all the time and I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt. It had been 11 months by then and while it had been an inconvenience, it was not utterly unreasonable. By the time November 2012 rolled along, I had grown tired of waiting and emailed him to ask for a refund. Once again, I was ignored. Frustrated, I had made a post to my tumblr (which was admittedly a bit bitter sounding) and later got an Ask from another user who pointed me in the direction of this community. All of this was public and could be seen by anyone. The next day friend #2 received an email from Clay, ironically enough, stating that he would have our commissions sent to us within the week and that he was sorry about everything. I wanted to, again, to give him the benefit of a doubt, but I was very unhappy with the idea of getting art that I did not want and asked a refund for. I searched around to see if this artist has had a bad rep before, and I did find a few things elsewhere. Needless to say, it was quite possibly a ruse to get me to shut up and not come here. Not sure, but either way I'm tired of waiting and my friends and I are tired of being ignored. If you are a comics fan or a convention goer and you are considering getting a personal piece of art from him, I would do so with caution.
17. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/657806.html Alright, so, last summer somewhere around June/July of 2012, I started a fursuit trade with the user "KazeTorashi", also known as "LigercraftSuits" on FurAffinity. Things had been going well. She was always very polite and wonderful to talk to and quick to reply to any questions I had. The tail had been completed on July 23rd and can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8483241/ The initial deadline was to be September 19, on which day the suit should have been completed, already shipped, and in my posession as a birthday gift for myself. On September 5th, the paws to my suit and a picture of the foam base were posted. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8799803/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8800015/ This Sept. 19th deadline was missed, but I didn't mind too much seeing as she had other things on her plate that people had paid for that she had to to first and there was enough done on my fursuit for me to rest easy. There were a few more "deadlines" floating around after that, but they were all missed as well. I sat tight for the next update, and sure enough on January 4th of this year the pictures of my full partial had been posted. Hooray! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9615896/ I don't remember the exact date but not too long after that was posted up I got into a Skype conversation where we discussed shipping prices. It was decided that I would pay for shipping on the Thera partial and she would pay for shipping on my end of this trade, a black husky partial. She gave me a quote of 13$ and a few days after the Skype chat on January 17th I sent her 16$ to make sure it would cover any and all fees or extra charges. I wanted to be sure she had everything she needed of course! Screencap of the payment: http://i.imgur.com/EtZI1Nz.png On January 22nd I got my stuff together and mailed out my end of the trade. Receipt: http://i.imgur.com/aVxBWQR.jpg According to the tracking number and Canada Post website the suit arrived at the address I was given on January 28th. http://i.imgur.com/KuFmoZl.png On February 11th I asked for an update on their end of the trade via note on FA, which can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/pnkdLRk.png That note, along with the one where I told her my end had been shipped, still haven't been read. Now I don't want to seem impatient here, but I'm starting to get a little frustrated. I have had NO contact with KazeTorashi since our Skype chat ~2 months ago and since then I've sent her a note, page shouts, an e-mail, another note to one of her roomates, and got a friend of mine with her cell number to send her a text. Still no replies at all to any of these attempts. http://imgur.com/a/cKKuK Now, I'm an EXTREMELY patient person when it comes to things like this, and I don't like pestering people, and I certainly don't want to bother or annoy the suit maker as she's always been the sweetest girl ever to deal with and I wish her the best in life and her fursuit endeavors, but I'm also not very pleased with how she's been handling this situation. The most important thing when you're running a business if to make yourself available to the people you're working with so that at least they know whether or not there's an issue. I've simply been stranded in the dust here with no idea as to what's going on with my suit and now I'm feeling like I have lost 52$ AND my black husky fursuit AND my Thera partial all at once. I'm really hoping for the best and for her to pull through on this, and it hasn't been TOO long since I last saw her around(she posted a journal on the 29th of January saying things would be shipped on her next day off work), but since she owes me my suit and some shipping money(which I don't mind letting go of if I get my fursuit!) and hasn't been in contact at all, it makes me worry that something might be wrong. At the same time I'm trying to be patient and remain calm about all this, but it's coming up on one whole month since the last time she's been active *anywhere* online and it's very worrisome behaviour. Hopefully I hear something from her soon, because her work is amazing and so is she, and I'd really hate to see something happen to her as she's a brilliant artist in many ways and deserves the best out of this fandom in my opinion.
18. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/654319.html WHO: FlyingFire is her user name WHERE: FurAffinity WHAT: Traditional 2 character Sketch. WHEN: I commissioned her in August. 40.00 for down payment I gave her all the information she needed to get on a rough sketch. Due date was Dec. Granted I've been busy but I've checked on her every now and again but I think I got back to talking about it in Nov or early Dec I told her I was fine with delaying the due date to Jan. She was asking about the final 40.00 which I paid the final on Dec. 9th Update 07/10: please read below. PROOF: *Please Note for your convenience I did copy the notes into font. Please do know that often Flying fire would respond out of order, like I was working top down and her conversation was working bottom up, so kind like the universe expanding opposite directions. Just so you know, so I won't hurt everyone's eyes and brains. ~Thank you*
Any number of those make good ideas! (sorry it took me so long to reply btw! I was gone. :c ) My Paypal is ___ . Add me on Skype and we can chat vocally, and you can even watch the progress as it goes along! -Fire.

Okay, I'm game! ^.^ I remember you from Morphicon! You and your nice owly friend. You were both super nice and it was fun to see you. ^.^ Also, yes. It'd be eighty dollars. Incremental pay is just fine, just so you know. Do you have refs, and also, do you have skype? That way maybe we can talk as I draw things out for you and Arctic. Did you know I know Artic? I'm not sure what happened but we stopped talking a few years ago. Its been a long time, but it'd be great to do something nice for her. (and you too, of course) 🙂 What kind of theme would this be? Or would that be artistic freedom?
Well I want to commission an art piece 2 character of me and my best friend Artic. Now the Deadline would be December since I plan for it to be a birthday gift from me to her. I'm guessing it be around 80.00? I mean I know my character has a lot of details and hers she gets kind of picky. I do know she does have a variety of badges. I think your art would be one she would like. So I tend to like feral/quad, and her most recent reference is of a quad/feral Artic. If your interested in drawing please let me know. I can pay half now and then the other half when I get rough sketch/regular drawing approved. Since I know that be easiest way for me to pay since it is a lot of money and I don't want a birthday gift to be finished before I can approve of the drawing done. This is a piece I hope you have plenty of time to work on at your own pace. I'm hoping December is a far enough time away.

That be great, my user name for Skype not like caps matter. I sure do, have references. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/7782892/ I need to re do it since the tail is off. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5257642/ this is how the last band is suppose to be its wraps around to the bottom but it doesn't connect underneath. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6448079/ Like this explains the details best its just outdated as far as the tail and the fact everyone who goes by this gets the stripes wrong because its good way to map where the stripes are but people have put dots on my stripes and made them very much like connect the dots. But I plan on getting another reference done. I'm just been rather slow about it. ;_; because I'm a busy/lazy cat. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/8431740/ Artics most recent info. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/8229703/ this is colored something this hopefully will give you and idea of how to shade things. This is her old reference http://www.furaffinity.net/full/1372053/ Its colored too. I think that covers it. I will try to make myself available on Skype. As for ideas,
*SIDE NOTE: Just so you know I had spoke with her and said that reference I provided for the feral would be fine. As for the stripe issue I had a reference that did not work so well because the stripes were in the right position but they made the stripes look funny so I never got people to do my stripes like normal, right position but weird stripes. FlyingFire Aug 19

Well, that was unnecessary, and it would have taken you two extra seconds to send me an actual note instead of a page shout. However, despite your doubts, as quoted here: Give me my money back. You did not provide me my sketch days, weeks, over a month of saying your weak excuses. You stole money from me, by not providing the service you agreed to. heres your sketch. As I said before, its done and has been done for awhile. I had to deal with that thing called real life, taking my cat to the vet to make sure she didn't have cancer amongst them, so yeah, I was preoccupied. This is partially why I forgot to link you your art, but you should Never send a note to someone, or a shout, when your that irrational. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8383/8452908686_75698d75af_z.jpg You can have this until I receive an apology for such rash words, whereupon I'll send you the full re-res image.
I'm not being irrational, you are horrifically late. Honestly I've given you over a week to get to me on this. You had not taken the extra 2 to 3 seconds to link me this information. I am not apologizing to you. I told you I'd like to have some pre-sketch for me to confirm at least progress and maybe throw in my 2 cents. Regardless of you circumstances you have been absolutely poor at communicating properly. Now I told you I need to have proof by last Sunday at least...I have not seen anything until I've given you this shout. When a time is set I expect something to be done, or at least a note back to say as to why there is a delay. Frankly I've been waiting on some proof that you've done anything, So it is not irrational for me to suspect you are not true to your words as we've had this discussion before. I've been dealing with a thing called life like everybody else. I have 2 jobs, and I work to pay off my condo/townhouse. I know a lot about due dates, with college and bills and if something comes up I try to work something out but you expect me to pay for sketch and then I don't see anything for like a month? I wonder who sounds like they are being irrational now? You know I have bad days but at least I communicate with my boss and those who need to know and let them know if something will be delayed.
I'm sure you understand that there's a lot of difference between being busy personally, and busy with business, and I was busy with both. I can understand your business just fine, but you need to know remember that there is a difference. Also, you paid the fourty as a half payment. Thats why I hadn't started. My policy is generally to get full payment and then begin. Irregardless to this roundabout we seem to be having, is this sketch to your liking, or is it not? Let me know when you have a minute to sit back and look at whats been done. Here is the large file. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8383/8452908686_f79f42a2c7_k.jpg
*Side note: I was up late that night and had not slept so well this last week. Which that and also having someone say I'm being irrational started what some furries call "Tiny Tora Rage." Which may I say that all my anger is pretty legit, maybe a little fluffed...but I am the person to burn bridges if I find that it leads me to no where I want to be. She had mentioned her cat for the first time to me, I know I saw something posted in her journal 2 months prior, so granted I know people can have emotional issues...but I feel if that is the case it is the artist's obligation to mention that they will need some time out. I can't take in consideration for something I do not know of, all she had mentioned prior is she was busy. Which is what I had been hearing for some time. FlyingFire Feb 7th(2) Now for the Cherry on top the art I've been waiting for b/c after I yelled at her on her wall...I got this. Artic_Tora_flyingfire Also, the sprinkles on top would be that she and posted this on FA saying Artic and I are Mates. Which I do understand where someone might get that, but I had told her beforehand that we were best friends. We have matching icons, we are giving each other a head bump, not kisses. So even though some people think we are a couple, unfortunately that is not the case, we just joke about it profusely. In reality we both are pretty heterosexual, even though I'm bi-sexual, I do have a boyfriend. I Do Apologize for any confusion on this matter. I know I've not disclaimed my status of relationship to others. EXPLAIN: I may have not stayed on track with this artist through every step but honestly I think more artist prefer people not to get with them on daily basis. I did remind them in a journal prior which I think that is when they brought up the 40.00 final that was in Nov. I still feel if you did not provide any proof of art done you are stealing from the buyer. This person is on the same level of scam artist as far as I'm concerned. Updated Feb. 10th, 2013 Flying Fire got back to me shortly after the shout I mad on her FA account. Basically I was angry she had not provided and I had figured some public attention would get her attention and maybe create some results, which it did. I have provided proof of 95% of our conversations. I feel the other 5% is non-important as it doesn't really say much. I've not replied back to her as frankly I don't feel this art is really worth 80.00 but with her cat going to the vet. I really doubt I will get the 40 back.

Regretfully, due to the long wait, the emails were automatically deleted from my inbox, which is my fault, however, I did save the paypal transaction confirmation email, linked below. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/23308137/proof.png WHEN: Initial conversation happened over email on the 10th of May of 2012, first email requesting a status update on October 20th, no response, follow up note sent on the 26th of November, replied to the same day with a promise of showing progress the next day, no response afterwards, two notes sent on December 13th and January 1st respectively, requesting a refund, no response since. The initial response was very swift, and payment was done the next day after going over some details, months passed and the promised updates and progress never came, I didn't mind at the time, I had waited long for commissions before and kept reminding myself that he was a popular artist, who likely had a very long queue, and decided to be patient, but by October, having no word of him, I decided to send the first email, to which I obtained no response, so I sent a follow up note on November, to which he replied he didn't receive the email or must have missed it and promised to show me progress on my picture the very next day, nothing came, finally, by December, I was both tired of this and in need of some money for a trip in January, so I asked for either a partial or full refund, no response, I forwarded the note again upon seeing him being active on FA on the 1st of January, no response, despite being active in FA further. Despite him being friendly through this, 100 dollars is no small amount of money, and it's been more than 9 months without seeing any indication that he has even STARTED, and I, quite frankle feel rather insulted at his negligence, since this is after all, a transaction. At this point, I don't want the picture anymore since I have seen how seriously he takes his commissions, I'm done being friendly, and wish my refund so I can get this over with. UPDATE: I have managed to get in contact with him on Skype, he's promised to refund me as soon as possible, aka, as soon as some payments to him come in, so far he's been reasonably helpful, but considering his track record for promising things, I'd rather not get my hopes up until the money is in my account. UPDATE: He has now refunded my money in full, I would like this matter to be considered resolved please. Proof: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23308137/paymentproof.png
20. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/651721.html Who: Roux/Tomhoshino Website: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tomhoshino Where: AOL Instant Messenger/Furaffinity What: Conbadge Trade When: 2007 Proof: Screenshots will be Provided below, but the original AIM conversation has been lost over the years Details: I asked Roux for a trade while chatting with her on AIM. She agreed to a badge trade and I asked her to draw my character Sysko (previously known as Rensis). I was really excited, so I did my half and posted it right away (seen here with timestamp). She said she liked it and then I began the wait. I sent a quick email in 2008 (seen here) and in 2009 (seen here). Neither were answered. Recently I saw she was on FA and taking commissions so I asked her if she could do my badge in between the sketches. She responded as if she had never agreed to the trade (seen here). Unfortunately I don't have the aim conversations anymore as they happened over 5 years ago, so all I have is the screencaps and my word. I didn't think there was anywhere else to go with this but here, since it looks like a lost cause. 😕 Update 02/07/13 After making this post, Roux responded to my comment linking her half (here). This would have resolved the whole thing, if not for this description (here), which a day or two later became this description (here). The entire rant is misguided, reading more like her playing the victim than it does justice to her aim of being diplomatic. She never expressed these feelings to me, she just stopped talking to me altogether. I feel like she had plenty o opportunity o work this out with me, instead of ignoring my attempts at contact. I am a lot of things, but unsympathetic is not one of them. If she had maturely explained the way she felt in private, I would have certainl apologized ecause I never meant to make her feel that way Despite the rant, I wanted to leave a 'thank you' but I found I was blocked (here). I'm disappointed that instead of emailing me her half and explaining how she felt, the ordeal ended like this.
21. original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/648340.html First of all, I must say that I do not have a lot of pictures to prove our conversations, Due to Hinauchi deleting me from her skype, making me unable to get the conversations back. First proof. Here is the WORK IN PROGRESS she has posted on furaffinity of my fursuit. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6443683/ Do note it was posted (as of this time) A year ago. (September 5th, 2011) About 5 months after I had purchased my suit. Proof link of A recent message we had on facebook as of November 24, 2012 1. http://imgur.com/6MxxI 2. http://imgur.com/Jjsli and 3. http://imgur.com/tfMSN The proof that she no longer is on my skype contacts http://imgur.com/6WQ8h Recent proof she is now raising a ton money to see her "bby" for her leisure http://imgur.com/SJKk5 ++ My comment that got marked as spam, ( It was me informing to the public that she is raising money for yet another thing, even though she still has not shipped what i ordered) http://imgur.com/bPjOU Then, her proceeding to tell someone that "I should have noted her" Even though she never contacts me http://imgur.com/vTc27 Explination. I made my fursuit purchase from Hinauchi In early April 2011. I did not order the fursuit to be here on a specific date, although i had figured it wouldn't take too long, considering i've seen her make fursuits often, she even set up a fusuit website of her own here http://speckledbluenose.weebly.com/ so I assumed she was somewhat proffessional about it. I payed around $445 for a fursuit head, tail, and paws of my old character Rayne via paypal. Basically, I have asked her about how she was doing on it since the purchase via skype, but i no longer can reach the conversations due to her unadding me. I do remember her taking forever to even show me pictures of my commission, giving me dates on when the fursuit should ship to me, and then my fursuit of course never getting to me. Apparently, as she has told me, her mother stole my shipping money. Which is of course theft, and is illegal. I asked for her mothers number, and she refused to give it to me. She has made countless excuses since 2011 such as; Her mother wont take her to the store for supplies Her mother stole the money Her camera was broken She was busy She was going through a hard time She was at her dads She was moving It has been almost 2 years now since i have purchased it, and all she does is give me excuses and sad stories and explanations on why she couldn't ship it to me. Then informing me that it should get to me soon, when it never does. I don't understand why she can finish other people's commissions, such as drawings, and never have any time to go to a post office to ship a package. She claims that it is "buried under a mountain of shit in her closet" and she plans to "dig it out and get it shipped" Which she has been saying for months of course. I posted a comment on the journal talking about raising money to see her lover to inform people that she isn't responsible enough to get purchases to people. She is lazy, irresponsible, and immature. I did not wish to post something like this, although it has bothered me for far too long and people should have a right to know, considering she opens auctions, commissions, and other things where she must send commissions out. It's a very confusing position to be in.

After that date, he did not make any new journals on DeviantART nor did he comment or note me about my artwork. PROOF: Payment: http://sta.sh/015fmnv6xpi8 Confirmation of Payment received by artist: http://sta.sh/0250y8xrzh0m EXPLAIN: I first ordered the commission and they told me to wait as they were travelling but they would get it to me soon. I have commissioned hundreds of artwork and so I know that these things take time. So I did not think anything of it for the first couple of months. By the fifth month I started to get nervous so I noted him and asked him if he had any updates for me. Another month went by and I got really nervous. This was six months at this point. That to me is a completely unacceptable wait time with no correspondence from their side. So I noted him (December 19th, 2012) and that note (to this day) is unread. http://sta.sh/01cdlkl8n2pd I then sent a personal email to the artist on January 2nd asking them if they had any updates for me and I even included our correspondence via DA. I told them that I was very uncomfortable with the situation as he had not replied to me and he was not uploading anything new on DA. I then asked for a refund. (This email to this day is not replied to) http://sta.sh/026ybvl2jei6 I again noted them on DeviantART on January 7th, 2013 telling him that this was my third time at attempting to get in touch with him. I directly asked for a refund. (This note is till showing unread) http://sta.sh/0143o1socsjl At this point I was growing very annoyed because his profile status on DA was showing that he was LOGGING into DeviantART yet not replying or even reading my notes. So I took the conversation to his front profile. I left a comment stating that I had attempted to contact him via Note and Email and had yet to receive a response. I asked for a refund. (This comment is not responded to) http://sta.sh/01teukbebxq0 On January 14th, 2013 I took this to Paypal and sent him a money request. In the request I stated that I wanted my refund for my commission and that I have been trying to contact him regarding this manner. I had hoped this would grab his attention. http://sta.sh/0ud93ie3czd As of yesterday (1/29/2013) I put a comment inside of his DA journal stating that I was very unhappy with his communication and that it was completely unprofessional on how he was handling these matters when I can clearly see that he is on DA. I told him to give me an update on my artwork or send me a refund or I would call him out stating that he was an art thief. And I would inform his latter commissioners to not pay him as they would never get their art. http://sta.sh/019qp81cas5c Today (1/30/2013) I sent him an email letting him know that I have made a complaint with Paypal for his actions, and if he got enough complaints Paypal would limit his account. http://sta.sh/01156ktki2g5 I hope that he will at least give us the artwork he promised to me and all the others that are on his list or at least send us our money back! Today (11/12/2013) I was notified by another deviant that he was online 3 days ago (11/09/2013) He has not read any of my notes, nor replied to any of my emails. This artist is a fraud! He has stolen my money and has no intentions of finishing his work that people have paid for! He has not updated his account, nor has he posted any new artwork! He's a scam! Do not order art from him! Today (11/22/2013) I have logged onto DeviantART only to find that he has deactivated his account! This artist is clearly a fraud and I have emailed him and send paypal money requests and he still has not replied to anything! Be cautious if you see anyone with his familiar artwork posting anywhere! He's a fake! And a money thief!
