About Me

  1. Jan. 31st, 2012 at 12:06 PM arctic_wuff WHO: orthan WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/orthan WHAT: 2 character commission paid in full up-front. WHEN: Payment was made May 1, 2010 with commission details and such being discussed at the end of April 2010. PROOF: Other than the FA notes, work was never started. See screen captures under cut EXPLAIN: I don’t have all the logs any longer (had a harddrive failure), but after paying the artist in May I agreed to wait until June 2010 for the work. Then artist requested more time and I allowed that. After that point getting a hold of the artist became very difficult and replies seemed to stop coming. I have requested a refund from the artist and have seen nothing yet. Unfortunately the paypal buyer protection time had passed so I was unable to file for a refund with paypal. RESOLVED: After getting a hold of the artist again I was able to get a refund.
  2. Jan. 24th, 2012 at 1:42 AM nedrae WHO: Shizuki/Chevi. She apparently already had a beware, but I didn't know of this community back when this started.WHERE: FurAffinityWHAT: Full-body color, one character, $60. Here are her current terms and conditions, but I don't know if they have been changed in the interim and I didn't save a copy. What I do remember is that the no-refunds clause wasn't there, but unfortunately I have no proof. WHEN: Initial note sent on FA on July 18th, 2010, payment made the next day, mutually agreed deadline of early November 2010.PROOF: Full album. (Screenshots in chronological order, same as below) EXPLAIN: The full album, in detail. This is almost all of our communication, except for some of my replies acknowledging her notes, and which she usually quoted anyway: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#1o Initial contact http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#2o Paypal was being stupid to me http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#3o A friend helps me out and pays in my behalf, I pay him back here http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#4o http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#5o My friend had talked to her about this. She was okay with this and let me know I could go ahead with the request. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#6o e-mail with the commission details. Not blurred because meh, and her e-mail address is public already. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#7o She got my email. I assume she was okay with it (the only complicated bit was somewhat large wings for the character, but I made it clear that they weren't necessary) http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#8o She says deadline won't be met. That's alright, it happens and I understand and hope she gets it all sorted out soon. I responded saying it was fine and to keep me in the loop. Then I admittedly let it slip for a while, and she didn't respond until I sent her another note on February 2011. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#9o I got pushed into her immediate to-do list apparently. In retrospect I should have taken that refund at this point. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#10o Got this at the end of March, she said it'd be done during April, offered me a free icon but I didn't care about it. I just replied saying I didn't see the need for changes, though I hadn't seen a sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#11o July 9th. Again in the immediate to-do list. Promised to contact me on the 20th, or if not, done by early August. July 20th came by and I didn't see anything. Kept waiting. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#12o Sent on August 30th, more things had happened, offered free stuff again (that I ignored because I was focused on my actual commission). Sketch real soon she says. At this point it's been over a year since our first contact and payment. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#13o Apparently this was sent to all of the people she owed art to. My response is here: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#14o. The link at the end of her note is this: http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm313/cheviart/Commissions/wheredoIgo.png http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#15o She acknowledges. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#16o Three months later I ask her again. She thought I asked for a deadline of December 15th when I had actually said mid-november. More than a year since the original deadline. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#17o She says she mixed up the dates, apologizes about the lack of a sketch (almost a year and a half now), and promises finished art (i.e. not a sketch, and what I assumed would be the final art with no possibility of change) by the 19th. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#18o I am an idiot and agree to the finished art instead of pushing for the sketch. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#19o As soon as she's on break I'm her top priority. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#20o December 21st and I haven't seen anything yet, now she says it'll be done before the end of the month. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#21o Mini-update on the 30th, it won't be done by new year, but she says she'll try to get it done before she returns to school on the 9th, and asks if any changes need to be made. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#22o My reply, can't ask for changes if I haven't even seen the sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#23o January 20th, this is when I seriously started considering writing this whole thing, and I think it shows. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#24o I made a mistake, corrected http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#25o She is aware of how long I've been waiting. Says stuff will come out during the weekend. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#26o Apparently I misplaced those two files in the interim. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#27o Sent the files by e-mail and also uploaded to min.us And today is the 24th, and I haven't seen anything at all. TL;DR Commission paid on July 2010, agreed on a deadline of early November 2010, commission kept being pushed back and in almost 18 months she has been unable to produce a single sketch. Meanwhile Until today, her commission account's gallery has 165 submissions since the date of my original deadline (October 31st, 2010). So yeah I'm a bit miffed. EDIT: Earlier today (April 4th 2012) I received the finished art from her after a couple of rounds of sketches and corrections, I'll contact a mod shortly to mark this post as resolved.
  3. Jan. 19th, 2012 at 7:43 PM punkspacewafers I posted a "lost contact" about this user a while ago, it can be found here: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/549356.html WHO: Feltified WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/feltified/ http://www.etsy.com/people/Feltified?ref=pr_profile WHAT: A commission for some felted Pokemon. On August 30th 2011 I messaged Feltified after being referred by a friend, and completely fell in love with their creations. I instantly sent a note asking about commissions, as seen in the first screencap below. The entire conversation can be read. After the second screencap, I haven't heard from them since. I've sent 5-6 notes on FA and some shouts on their page and even a couple of Etsy messages, but it seems they just read my notes and don't respond. PROOF: Convo 1 (Read from top down) Payment Convo 2 What's changed from last time: I've sent a few more messages, however this time they have gone unread in the FA outbox. It seems as though they are ignoring me completely. I also sent a couple of messages on Etsy, which I KNOW they're active on, due to the most recent feedback left. seen here: http://www.etsy.com/people/Feltified/feedback?type=for_others I'm changing the status from "lost contact" to "Beware."
  4. Jan. 17th, 2012 at 3:18 AM kiba_lutrova This is my first post here so please forgive me if its not as informative or as well written as others. WHO: Calanon WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/calanon/ WHAT: I ordered 3 waist up commissions from Calanon and as of yet have received no progress. WHEN: This started around mid-July, this note having been completed on July 18th http://i.imgur.com/EIUhQ.png (paypal blurred out for privacy reasons) and from that point we exchanged a few more notes, with the next few notes being more of the same, getting a reply here and there but not often, with my notes being weeks/months apart http://i.imgur.com/9Xy3o.png PROOF: My paypal receipt as follows (with personal information blurred) http://i.imgur.com/IK0DQ.png EXPLAIN: As stated in the above comments, I have tried to be patient for months and months now, only sending a note every few weeks or months at times, sometimes I got a reply, sometimes I didnt. It's not that i'm impatient, i've waited longer than this for pictures from friends that involved no money. But having paid for 3 pictures well over 6 months ago and still nothing really bothers me. Not only that but they also posted pictures that other people bought when they originally put up a journal for these commissions http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2515899/ They posted a few pictures such as http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6145146/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6183808/ shortly after the journal was up then stopped for a while, 2 months later finishing a few more http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6505015/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6486663/ After finishing more commissions they have all but ceased activity on furaffinity, with some people leaving shouts asking about their own commissions as well as me, since then they have closed their deviantart account - http://raven-greiver.deviantart.com/ and facebook account - http://www.facebook.com/Raven Greiver and has not responded to current notes awaiting to be read. Although they have been active on their steam account http://steamcommunity.com/id/BlackLiightning which tells me they are still around but not paying attention to those of us on FA asking for a status update. All of the above accounts are linked from their FA account under contact information. I don't know what to do at this point to either try to keep in contact and try to get my commissions or ask for a refund, its been over 90 days so I don't think I can request a paypal refund from the website. EDIT: She got back in contact with me today and has a new FA account and says she will be doing all the commissions that she has taken the few months ago now. So anyone that ordered a commission from her, her new account is posted on her FA page and is awaiting details from anyone who commissioned her in the past few months. I appreciate the feedback I got on behalf of this entry and thank you to everyone who helped out with this.
  5. Jan. 11th, 2012 at 3:10 PM wolfy_chan WHO: AutumnHoney on DA (previously known as Xx-Manda-Panda-xX on DA) WHERE:(new)http://autumnhoney.deviantart.com/ (old)http://xx-manda-panda-xx.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Custom costume hat to be made specifically by October, 2010 (for convention purposes) WHEN: July 5th, 2010 - Inquired about a custom hat commission, she seemed delighted about the project. Back and forth responses about the design and pricing for a few days. I asked that this project be finished before early October 2010 since I wanted to wear it to a convention, she agrees says it will be around 40USD so I send her references. July 7th, 2010 - She replies with the price of 60USD for the custom changes which was A OK with me. July 10th, 2010 - Sent the required amount via paypal. Payment was received with no problems. July 11th, 2010 - Set up a Skype movie conversation with her so she could show me the fabrics she bought for the project. They looked awesome and I gave her the OK to start. August 22nd, 2010 - Sent a polite PM asking how everything is going. No response. September 16th, 2010 - Sent her another PM asking if everything is okay. No response. October 10th-31st - I leave multiple messages on her dash, spaced out a few weeks in between to ask how everything is and to finally ask for a refund. No response to any of them and every message was 'hidden by owner'. November 27th 2010 - Way past due date with no responses to DA PMs, I email her politely asking for a refund, saying I will leave a negative review on her DA dash to warn further customers if she doesn't respond. No response. February 1st, 2011 - I have not tried to contact her since the last email, leaving another post on her dash. No response, 'hidden by owner'. February 22nd, 2011 - She closes her DA account. I leave another message, no response and hides it, reiterates closing the account in May, 2011. January 9th, 2012 - Somehow I remember about all of this and make an effort to see if this person is still on DA somewhere and I end up finding her. I contact her once more asking for a refund and stating I will post negative reviews on her business webpages if she does not refund me. She FINALLY responds saying that I have been 'harassing' her and will refund me but 'don't deserve it'. She has the gall to also say that she has 'tried to contact me' multiple times when I have not seen any sort of initiative to do so. PROOF: Response to the inquiry about a commission via DA PM on July 5th; Paypal payment sent July 10th, 2010; Name change on their paypal clarifies it's them on DA. The paypal notice used to be under their old name. (detail on that in explanation) EXPLAIN: Ugh, okay. Let me be the first to say that I am normally a very patient person when it comes to commissioning things. I myself am an artist and I take commission work regularly, so I know all about commission woes and the such-- but it pisses me off to no end when you get no response for months and YEARS at this point only to find out they moved to a new account then try to say they contacted you multiple times when I have gotten NOTHING of the sort for years. As the timeline states above, I commissioned Manda-Panda on July 5th 2010 to do a custom hat for me and they seemed thrilled to pieces to do it. Price was set, I paypaled them promptly and everything seemed to be going fine. We even set up a skype conversation and she showed me on a webcam all of the materials she bought to make it and they all looked awesome. We agreed it would be done by October so I could wear it to a convention where I was going to sell my artwork in costume. Time goes by and I don't hear anything about updates or progress, so I send another friendly poke. PMs were sent as followed; (this pm was longer than one line, posting it here) October rolls around and I hear nothing back. When your sent PMs are read by the recipent, they turn light green as they did in the screenshot, so I know she read them. I poke her on her DeviantArt Dash to check her pms to respond to me, of which messages she hides or has hidden since then. None of them were nasty posts, just enough information to warn others that I was not given the commission work she promised me and that she had yet to refund me. As I myself am someone who does commission work, I am thoroughly bonded and branded with the business etiquette of it. Every post that was hidden and wasn't responded to was as polite as they could be, asking for a refund and a response and nothing more. In November I send her an email asking for a refund and a small warning that I will leave negative feedback yet again if she doesn't respond to me; I will admit I did sound a bit brash when I threatened to expose her name and misconduct on journals of my websites, but for the life of me she would not respond to anything! She even CLOSES her DA account and apparently wipes off the face of the earth. Finally I say to myself, 'you know what? sixty bucks isn't worth the hassle, I'll forget about it'. ...That is until I found out she had made a new account completely, under the name of AutumnHoney. I know that that is her new account because my paypal statement shows this new name in my history. Loe and behold, same icon, same merchandise on the DA page, and the kicker is that they are taking commissions! I'm passed peeved at this point and do send a harsh PM at this point (not within reason) that states I will in fact post everything to my webpages and make an article on A_B if she does not refund me. Here is what follows; Her reply: My response: I am just... Beyond baffled. Where is said replies? None to my email, none to my DA PMs, I am just -floored- they even responded like that. I said I would not post of this ordeal anywhere until we are finally resolved but I am just blown away by everything that has gone on and this is too ridiculous to keep in the dark. I know I look really bad posting this anyways and using a threat like that. I will admit that I was in the wrong for lashing out myself, but I was beyond furious and will take any slack that comes from that... But was I really in the wrong anywhere? waiting to post weeks and months and years after asking where my refund/product is? This is just a concerned warning for anyone that wants to deal with this person in the future. I can't see how this is all a 'huge mistake' because I have no proof in my inboxes for the past 2 years that they have tried to contact me before this. I'll update on this case if it progresses any further. UPDATE 1: Artist has yet again chose to read my message and has failed to reply with 'proof' that they have actually responded or did work on this project. I'll give it a few more days. UPDATE 2: They have finally paid me back. They did not reply or say anything, I just had money in my inbox today. It makes me think their spat was entirely made up and they never did anything. Just glad it's over. UPDATE 3: I heard back from the artist today saying that they have sent me messages and what's been going on. I feel very bad about their unfortunate things in their life and if I were to have heard about them in messages, I would have been patient and left it alone. Unfortunately I honestly don't know if the messages were actually sent or not and am waiting for a response. If this was a big miss-hap, count the entire thing as 'Resolved' and do not discredit their business over this. I just don't understand how I could not get 'so many PMs' since I get dozens and dozens from other users just fine.
  6. Jan. 8th, 2012 at 8:21 PM marblestheskunk This is an update of this: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/517601.html She came back to FA about two weeks ago, claiming she had NO POSSIBLE way to get internet access for the past 5 months [even though its only been 4 months since her last submission] and she had been giving people shouts and favs that I saw throughout this whole time, so I honestly don't believe it. And even so, she could have found a way to get up with her PAYING customers. Well, she FINALLY finished it, after I talked to her a few times asking her what was going on. I basically commented on one of her submissions to get her attention to finish it, it was personal art which she had been posting ONLY personal art in the past two weeks since she came back. So I commented on her newest submission and asked why was she drawing personal art instead of working on commissions. She proceeded to be very rude to me and was coming up with excuses. I told her it was her JOB to do what she was paid for and if she spent all the time that she had been doing personal art[I counted about 6 pieces since shes been back] then she could have gotten it done by now. The submission we talked on is still there but she has hidden all of our comments and I was not able to get a screencap before so but here it is: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7178207 Well she posted the submission of my commission a little bit later.. Submission: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7178585/ Screenshot in case she deletes it or changes the tags: http://oi43.tinypic.com/2czyrlu.jpg She even wrote in the TAGS of the submission that it was rushed [in a very rude way] I pretty much don't even want to use it now, she has left a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth and it makes me extremely weary to ever commission anyone I don't know again. This artist is extremely unprofessional and I would NOT recommend commissioning them.
  7. Jan. 5th, 2012 5:36 PM kazufox Notice: The nature of this game project is classified as a RoR (Run or Rape) game and is of adult nature. Information may also be of adult nature. Viewer discretion is advised. Who: James Taylor aka Toonpimp. Also goes by the aliases of Bimson and Hobartstarr. Is in charge of Immoral Enterprise which specifies in adult games or animations. Where: http://www.toonchamp.com http://www.furaffinity.net/user/bimson http://www.furaffinity.net/user/hobartstarr http://hobartstarr.newgrounds.com What: The transaction being an 8-bit 2D game called Pixelforce. When: January 2008 - January 2012 Proof: [1] screen cap of Toonpimp/Bimson wanting to work on first game project http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/15/60696270.png [2] chat logs providing a lot of evidence of his actions https://viewer.zoho.com/docs/rsPIc [3] last chat log before discontinuing https://viewer.zoho.com/docs/ksQDf [4] screen cap of Toonpimp’s note from forum http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/26118743.png [5] chat log on notification of releasing him https://viewer.zoho.com/docs/rsRij [6] screen cap of Toonpimp’s reason for not giving refund to people that paid http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/209/24924037.png Explain: This started with the history of the first game in 2008, simply 6-bit Pixelforce. When Toonpimp first found some of my sprites, he showed interest and wanted to make an adult game of it as of January 26, 2008[1]. I agreed to it and we started work on the game that was 6-bit Pixelforce. However, during halfway in on his part, he changes his mind and decides to make it an average 2D sidescroll shooter. The result of it: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1290130 which was a poorly put together small flash game completed on May 10, 2008. But because people were interested in my sprites that weren't used, I decided to start work on another game project. I did bring this up with Toonpimp, however, he outright refused unless paid. So I began a character auction primarily on here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/728773 on May 5, 2009. I did request of him to begin work on a demo of the game, but he was lazy about this. The demo was rushed and sloppily done with mismatched animations and several glitches. The worst part was that the game was unable to run on other computers[2]. The total he was financed for this project was a little over $390. But when I let him go, I asked for only $150 but is refusing because ‘I kept him waiting for two years’ and ‘wasted his time.’ Evidence is in the chat logs file in parts discussing money. All of this being discussed through the chats as when his paypal was deleted, all records of transactions with him were as well[2]. During this time working on Pixelforce, the chat logs reveal quite a bit of disturbing information that includes sexual harassment. He tries in many chats requests for naked pictures of me in order to do more work into the game. For a while, I thought he was joking although he has in time made evident he was serious. Every time I did bring up this game, he would often go on a rampage, even saying the game should fail. He goes as far to deny being paid as one of his Paypal accounts was deleted, because Paypal does not support porn based businesses[2]. While working on this project, I was given the chance to promote my game on his forum where he made evident his disinterest with this game and for a while people on his forum were not in support of my game because of that. I did have a sub-forum for my project as a new way of organizing the new games being developed all at once. When I let people know that I had let Toonpimp go, he retaliated by not only locking my sub-forum, but deleted it and noted me to leave his forum[4]. Before firing Toonpimp, I decided on a more tactful method that would not be too insulting…twice[5]. He claims that it was because of him just for his name and forum he was making the money I attained for this project and therefore refused to give a refund[3]. I gave him plenty of chances to try and turn things around, yet he only spat in my face telling me to get lost. I have been contacting everyone who has donated for this game and let them know of what has occurred so they can contact him about getting their money back. He is refusing and claiming to produce ‘his own version’ of the game[6]. tl;dr Toonpimp is a programmer that doesn’t give people what they pay for. If he doesn’t like a project, he charges extra, even when already commissioned and is refusing to give a refund after being fired and booted me off his forums. Only continuing to work to not give a refund. He gets angry easily when I bring the game up. Sexual harassment trying to solicit to doing more work as payment to get naked pictures. Does not keep in touch about project or updates unless threatened and does little work. Update Edit 03/15/12 Toonpimp and I had come to an agreement. That being he would give a partial refund on the conditions that I don't send people after him about a refund, leave his forum, and say nothing of him. I agreed and decided to wait. I did wait until February to contact him again for a refund, but he told me to simply leave him alone and he'd send the money when he gets it. I waited another month, and now I find he's blocked me on FA, deleted my account on his forum, and also telling other people that he won't do anything to pay up thus placing him under theft which apparently has happened multiple times in his career. Ironically enough, one of his reasons for blocking me was because of my posting our chat logs after I had fired him saying it was violating privacy, yet he fails to acknowledge the fact he showed someone that disliked him the game while under development and the guy threatened to release it as I mentioned in my article above. Or how he only intended to give me 'tools' to do this myself and him not to complete it, yet also said he planned on finishing the game himself even after I fired him, which almost landed an article of him under Artist Theft. Here's the 3 PMs, the first two from him and the third being from a contributor that contacted him since TP had me blocked. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/341/pmsj.png/ I'll keep updated with more evidence in time.
  8. Jan. 5th, 2012 at 5:31 PM mozz1 I have reason to believe I was scammed by an artist on Furaffinity It happened about year ago, I met with an artist online who was just starting out, but seemed promising. Me and him established a good friendship, and coincidentally we only live maybe 30 minutes away from each other. So we decided to meet up at a restaurant. We had a great time, and left on a really positive note. But before we left, I gave him 20 dollars cash for a color and ink commission. The artist in question is named Furinkazan, and here is his FA page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/furinkazan/ Shortly after me and Furinkazan met in person, he began talking to me less and less on MSN, until he decided to eventually block me for reasons unknown. And for months, I could not get in touch with him. I tried sending him only a few PM's through FA just to see if he was still active, which he did not respond to. But I knew he was active, as he was favoriting others works, and occasionally posting his own. At that point I made a very grave mistake which I wholeheartedly regret doing and posted on Furinkazan's shout box something along the lines of: "Thanks for stealing 20 bucks from me" That shout was immediately deleted by him, and he left a shout on my page, marked a year ago, which you can see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mozz/ It says: "I never said I wouldn't finish your commission, so don't accuse me of stealing in a public arena when I've stolen nothing from you. If you have something to say, note me." Even though it was a bad idea, I figured now he was finally going to talk to me, I PM'ed him back, and the conversation is as follows: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm1.png So it would appear, it all worked out in the end. Well not quite. Even though we made up, I still never got any commission from him, but I did wish him happy holidays: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm2.png We then clarified what I wanted my commission to be: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm3.png And that was the last time we talked. He still blocked me from MSN, but he promised me that he was going to do the commission. A half a year passes, and still no commission from him. However I'm still being patient, and when his birthday comes around, I leave a shout on his page wishing him a happy birthday. He leaves a shout back on my page, which is still there that says: "Thanks! I'll have your stuff done soon, sorry it's taken so long." What I did next might have probably put him over the edge, and it was also something stupid I did that I regret doing. Last month on September 5th, I left a shout on his page saying "Happy one year anniversary that I still haven't got my commission! :D" Well that shout was quickly deleted, my name was removed from his owed commissions list, and I was blocked from his page entirely. I was not trying to start drama, I was merely stating that its been a year now, and I still don't have my commission. I completely went about it the wrong way So now a month later. At this point, I don't care if I don't get my commission, or if I don't get a refund, I just want the community to know that Furinkazan is a scam artist, and to not make the same mistake I did. I tried contacting several different FA administrators, but they all ignored me. Finally as my last step, I made a thread on the FA forums, and a few civil people there redirected me to Arists_beware, since it is quite clear from that thread, that they do not care that there is a scam artist still at large, and that I am the one at fault somehow, that I was harassing him. Here is a link to the thread in question: http://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/108723-Scam-artist-on-FA Well apparently from the thread the issue was resolved, at least for the moment. After much consideration, I gave furinkazan my home address so he can send the refund through the mail, as shown in this PM: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm4.png Well it has been three months later, and I still have yet to receive that refund, which I kind of expected I wasn't going to receive. I admit completely, that there were moments where I should have handled the situation much more appropriately, and not have said some of the things I said. Unfortunately, I cannot take what I said back, but I did apologize for what I said, and understand it was wrong to do so. But I still feel that does not excuse the fact that it has been a year and a half that I paid this artist for a simple piece of artwork that I will never receive, plus the fact he probably has no plans on refunding my commission money.
  9. Jan. 4th, 2012 at 1:00 AM sciuraamethysta WHO: Kimhana on Livejournal and Deviantart; formerly kimhana on Tumblr, URL now taken by another user WHERE: Deviantart (since deactivated) found here WHAT: A $40 full color digital picture WHEN: The commission was discussed and paid for in full in September of 2010. Contact was made again to check in as of January 2011; over the next few months, various accounts of the artist began to deactivate (LJ and Tumblr, specifically). Numerous emails to multiple addresses were not responded to in August and September of 2011; as of December 2011, the artist's Deviantart account, where the commission was originally discussed, was deactivated. PROOF: A screenshot of the original commission is here (with discussion of the prompt interspersed with personal conversation blacked out for convenience of reading) and a corresponding Paypal screenshot with emails blacked out can be found here . EXPLAIN: It absolutely breaks my heart to do this, as Kimhana remains a favorite artist of mine. If anyone has any information on her, why she's been deactivating, etc, I would love to hear it. The fact that she's dropped off the face of the internet hurts far more than the possibility of losing a commission. From what I can understand, it seems that she switched fandoms and then proceeded to delete her old accounts. For now, this is the most logical series of events that I can piece together. Best case scenario, she's forgetful and the commission slipped her mind and got brushed under the rug as her interests changed. But in the end, if nothing changes, I have to strongly advise against commissioning her. RESOLVED - After a few messages, the last of which mentioned the posting here, she responded on Tumblr and was very apologetic. She offered me a number of options, including a full refund. I took her up on the refund, and she has delivered. Thank you all very much for helping me to resolve this old problem - I appreciate it. :) EDIT: Added Paypal information, clarified Tumblr address, and added links to dead pages. SECOND EDIT: Turns out the Tumblr I originally linked was, by an eerie coincidence, an entirely different person. Please disregard that. THIRD EDIT: Evidently she is indeed still very active on tumblr, but under the changed URL http://neophytecherryglare.tumblr.com/ . ...and asking for commissions. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
  10. I took my 15 year old granddaughter to her first fur con on October 28th. After circling the Dealers Den many times she commissioned this artist to do a badge of her fursona. She paid Zrcalo $15 cash for a gold badge. A photo was taken of her fursona and information was written down in their ledger, ie name, address, special details. Communications have all taken place afterwards on Twitter. I think the copies of this communication will speak for its self. As of today, Jan 7, 2019, the last communications I sent, Dec. 30, 2018, has been ignored by Zrcalo. At this point other furries have come forward to compensate my granddaughter with their kindness. I do not want anything from Zrcalo. I want others to be aware of their unprofessional business practice.

Hearing from a friend this person needed it I decided to do so and here are those interactions. https://sta.sh/21sj3oko36j0?edit=1 See? Normal. Now this is when it starts to get bad. I noted her after waiting till Jan of 2018 seeing I had heard nothing from her not even WIP's Then again in Mar seen below https://sta.sh/01lchc0oot1w This was never responded to. Now, carrying on I started noticing journals going out. Now, I understand crap happens and all but it became more strange when I kept seeing more and heard absolutely nothing about my commissioned piece back in July. I bought another piece in a small emergency journal https://sta.sh/21u1znxuq0b?edit=1 Not a problem! Was done live stream and everything! Ok! Awesome so waiting a bit longer I noticed more journals as seen below. https://sta.sh/21rdlvl91hrq?edit=1 https://sta.sh/01h6279lkmev So, waiting a bit longer I was finally added to her discord group and therefore was able to get in contact with her via the messenger https://sta.sh/21ypoz22u92p?edit=1 ( Read more... ) Here became a slow progression of feeling overwhelmed with having to gently ask what is going on every now and then. Finally after waiting for a long time with no response I officially gave her an apology and asked for a refund if not a partial as seen in the proof above After waiting and waiting I have yet to recieve any kind of payment or notification from her. This is still an ongoing problem.
  12. On September 21st of 2018 Kircai posted a journal, that has long since been deleted, offering up "Nintendo Themed Commissions" I jumped at the chance to get one, requesting a pic of my sona dressed as Majoras Mask link while also having been regressed with Skull kid/Majora teasing him about playing the song of time too many times. The finalized pic did NOT represent this, and Kircai was very rude towards me, neglected to give any form of progress pics or sketches, and ended up blocking me so i couldn't let him know i was displeased with the final product. This was the final pic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xj12f7dtxwgx7g/Nintendo - Guba 2.png?dl=0 The only proof i have of him accepting the commission is the paypal transaction: https://i.imgur.com/bvAAR6U.png No further notes or messages were exchanged, other then a comment form him saying he had received payment and would get to work right away on the journal he has since deleted. I opted not to bother Kircai for over a month, as a previous attempt to speak to him resulted in a very rude response and him telling me not to bother him. After a month of not hearing anything from him I tweeted at him asking about the pic, he gave the following reasoning for not giving any updates: https://i.imgur.com/42WFwuF.jpg Everything seemed fine, he gave a reason for being delayed, wasn't rude, and said he would have an update 'tomorrow'. But tomorrow didn't happen, in fact i didn't hear anything from him for another 2 months, during which time he took on piles of new commissions, deleted the journal on FA, and even stopped posting to FA altogether. Finally i decided to tweet at him again about the commission after he opened new commissions for the new year (and had posted a couple as well), but this time he was very rude, made up multiple excuses, and even tried to blame me for his delays: https://i.imgur.com/MyRkvBe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qh4tCgz.jpg He proceeds to lay all the blame on me, claiming i "Didn't fill the form out correctly" and that caused him to "draw the wrong thing" then my attempt to ask about the commission (which he states in the previous message i didnt reach out, then says i did in the next?) caused him to rush the work and mess up. Then he tried to tell me in the same message that he was planning to do a second free pic for making me wait and because i was 'patient and kind', again saying this in the same message where he blames me for everything. I attempted to point this all out to him, explaining that if i did the form wrong he should have asked me to correct it prior to taking payment, as well as him taking on new commissions, and tell him that i didn't 'reach out' because the last time i tried he told me not to bother him. From there he just kinda goes off the rails, i attempt to apologize for making him feel rushed, he claims he owes me NOTHING despite not even doing the commission i paid for properly, then blocks me. https://i.imgur.com/LbcQMPx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Z9kSwTN.png https://i.imgur.com/17wBKn1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hXHvxYk.jpg
  13. Back in March 2016 i commissoned Mitha for a full digitigrade lynx fursuit. I paid 50% upfront, 1250$ with paypal. Suit should be finished january 2017. I never wanted to post a beware like this and it took me about an year to make this decision but i don't want to waste more time on this person. I have always been polite, tried to be patient and helpfull to resolve this issue as you will see but i got nothing but worries, anger and lies! Mitha please just sent this money back i want to be done with this and you finally, get back to me again and stop running away from your mistakes! FA note about claiming the slot Payment poof I contacted her several times but didn’t get real updates for my suit, sadly i’m not able to provide the full conversations since this ist he only chat that is completly gone but i made a few screenshots at the time i got the messages because i was really excited about getting a fursuit. I asked about the timeframe to get my suit before and i sent secondlife screenshoots of the character design, i think,we talked from time to time but nothing related to my suit i asked about her jaw sculpting and showed her a suithead i build meanwhile. Before my paypal protection ended she messaged me to send my DTD including shoes i should buy for the feetpaws. I did and was waiting again until she noted me that she got my DTD, that it was well made and my body would be the next she is working on. A couple of weeks later she contacted me on FA, because of the pawpads and nose color of my suit, she said skype is not working, could have been around my birthday within the first 2 weeks of november because i had been on holiday at this time. After this i tried again to get in touch with her on skype but i got no reply. We decided to keep in touch in telegram from now. I asked about any updates, she told me she is sorry that she is slow with this an that she is behind, my suit would be finished 2-3 month later. I was ok with that at this time, early december 2016. Since she was answering i didn't worry about getting nothing... I asked again for updates in febuary 2017 without a reply, in march i asked again because she posted some stuff on Twitter, i might have gotten wrong, but i still didn‘t get any info about my suit. I started to get afraid to get nothing from her since she didn't reply and was posting this on twitter. After she told me pretty rough that i should contact her on twitter i noted in the end of april because she didn’t got back to me. Got no reply so i tried again in may with what i am thinking about all this and got a reply a couple of days later. She told me about the situation and agreed to a full refund on 04.05.217. This wasn't an easy thing to me i really liked her stuff and i don't wanted to get her in trouble i offerd a payment plan even. I was waiting abou 2 month without any contact, refund or info about the timeframe of the paymentplan i contacted her again first time without a reply, about a week later she answered. Her excuse was the gender thing on twitter she did. And there was no refund but silence again, i contacted her several time before i got a reply. I suggested a paymentplan again with rates and dates... Since she wasn't pretty activ on twitter during this time i asked her where to find her now. I was sending my bankstuff to her emailadress and several emails where i asked her about the refund but i didn't get a reply so i started to get back on her on twitter. Sadly i can't provide screenshots of this emails they are gone out of the sent objects because its too long ago ? For sure i didn't get emails on the other email adress too because she never send them ? She got back to me with excuses she had to make and save this money first, wait who was stating on twitter that is is always easy to refund 2k? Mitha! There was silence after this for 3 weeks, then she got back to me with blablabla excuses and of course she lost our whole conversation and memory about what happened before... Of course she wasn't able to show me a thing but wanted to send a refund again, but suprise she didn't and suddelny the paypal option was gone too. At this point i opened up a etsy shop with an offer for her to buyout to refund me but she ignored this option and me, i sent another message 5 days later and provided the info again but nothing happened. Weeks later she noted me she is able to do the banktransfer now and offerd a free mask to me but guess what, i got nothing xD She got back to me again with excuses, i offerd the esty thing again and got ignored, then i asked for the otter partial instead of money but it was gone. a few weeks later she announced that she is closing up her shop and that there will be no more premades. I worried about our agreement to choose one of the upcoming premades because she said she won't do premades anymore and asked her about. I explained why i wanted the partial instead of money and that i take money when there are no more partials available and she agreed again and wanted to get back to me when she is able to afford the refund. She really got back to me but again i got nothing ? After this i haven't heard from her until i commented below her actual IG posts where she was trying to sell a fullsuit and a head, she blocked me after our conversation in IG and i'm still waiting for my refund.
  14. ravensmoon666 (ravensmoon666) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2018-12-31 16:40 Artist Beware: Underthedarkness WHO: Underthedarkness WHERE: Furaffinity, Toyhouse, Trello. WHAT: A 40$ full body flat and a 90$ YCH. WHEN: 05/01/2018 for the flat colours and 05/19/2018 for the YCH until the current date. EXPLAIN: I will say in advanced I do not have as much proof of all of this as I'd like, we used to talk over notes for previous commissions but after she invited me to her Discord server we talked over Discord DM's. I never had her added as a friend on there since I could just DM her because I was in her server. While this was going on I had closed our DM conversation by accident as I close ones I am not currently using and only found out about her jumping ship after I went to message her and noticed she removed me from her server (or just deleted it all together.) I cannot open our DM's unless she is a friend or I know her ID which I do not. Everything below is mostly written from memory with rough date estimates. I used to commission Under a lot and didn't have that many issues outside of her being very slow with commissions (From personal experience and dates I had noticed on her public Trello from other people commissioning her). Recently I had commissioned her for a reference of my persona and she did a really amazing job (I did end up paying her extra money to rush it though as I wanted it done soon) so when I saw she was steadily posting journals talking about how she was desperate for money and opening for emergency commissions I felt bad and had messaged her asking her if I could commission her to do a dragon-taur rendition of my persona. She said she had never drawn one before but she could try. I told her that if it was too hard for her and she ended up not liking it she could scrap it and chose another one of my characters to draw instead. She agreed, I linked her my characters to chose from if stuff went wrong and we exchanged details. She had been posting a lot of journals still talking about how she needed money and posting YCH's. She was having a hard time selling this one YCH commission I liked a lot but I didn't have the money for. She had reduced it from 100 down to 80 before removing it later, and I ended up messaging her to ask if it sold. She told me no that she didn't think anyone was interested so she just removed her. I asked her if she could hold it till next pay period and she agreed. She told me I could either pay the reduced price or more but it was my choice and I met her in the middle and sent 90$ About a month later she gives me an extremely rough sketch (basically just the body roughly sketched and the top half being the anatomy skeleton shapes) I approved it and she went quiet. I didn't hear much from her but kept an eye on her journals. She majorly had journals over the next few months talking about breaking up with her ex, losing her job, getting a new job, family problems etc. She kept taking on more commissions, even doing in-stream ones and not really working on her others. Sometime in October I noticed the chargeback date was coming close and given her history with being slow on commissions and noticing how bad she "needed money" I was worried that she wouldn't get my commission done for a while and messaged her telling her I was sorry and I felt like an asshole but that I had to put my foot down despite knowing everything she was going through but I was going to be needed a refund. She messaged me telling me that she understood and that I wasn't an asshole but that since she had no money it would be a while, but if I gave her another month she would get the art done. I told her I loved her artwork and wouldn't mind waiting but if it went further than that I would have to go down the refund route, she said she understood and we went on. (My mistake as I should have started the dispute then) Occasionally she'd send me a message telling me she would work on my comm soon, and halfway through the time she started working on the YCH and sent me a sketch. It barely had any work added to it, basically just went over the already drawn outlines and reduced the characters breast size (something I had asked as my character is supposed to have small breast and the YCH by default had large ones) I approved it and she went silent once again. The date for a month had come and gone, I even gave her a few days longer just in case before I went to Paypal to open a case, I knew I was already too late for the first commission but thought I still had a day or two for the second one (I opened both anyways) and Paypal automatically declined them because of them being outside the date. I knew the only hope I'd get my money back was if I messaged her so I went and messaged her telling her I would need a refund. She said that she thought I would at least give her "till the end of the month" (when I asked for a refund the month before it was midway through the month, not at the end) and that she didn't have the funds but would give me a refund when she could. Not too soon later I saw she had uploaded a journal saying she would be refunding EVERYONE on her queue and that she was depressed and no longer felt like drawing so she felt this would be easier. She said she would be looking at how much she owed everyone and would post how much she owed everyone on a public list. She also started "spamming" her TH trying to sell her characters for refunds. A few days later she posted a journal stating that someone had forced chargebacked her and she was in the negative so refunds would take longer. Halfway through December, she sent me a message saying she would be able to give me at least a partial refund in January and I told her I was happy she was keeping me updated and thanked her. She had also moved her refund list to her profile info. 12/30/2018: I was going through my Discord servers and noticed that hers was no longer on my list. I had a sinking feeling and went to check her FA and sure enough, it's disabled. I tried all kinds of methods to try to find our closed chat to no avail, I remembered a user that used to be a friend of hers/ on the refund list so I decided to message them and see if they knew anything/ at least knew her Discord ID so I find our messages. 12/31/2018: I woke up to a message from the said friend and they said they were pretty sure she deleted her discord as it no longer showed them as friends anymore and that she wasn't answering her text but if they found out anything they'd let me know. Before I could respond they then sent me another one saying that Under had blocked them on everything, including Twitter and Instagram and that it was heartbreaking as they were best friends. So I'm pretty sure Under has completely jumped ship. (I have these notes still if screencaps are needed but since it was kinda personal I didn't feel comfortable/ thinking it would be allowed) I saw that her TH was still active so I left a shout telling her I was appalled and that I would be writing an AB/ trying to go through my bank. PROOF: Proof of payment: https://i.imgur.com/6bQZYYc.png Announcing refunds: https://i.imgur.com/1QIy2fH.png Chargeback journal: https://i.imgur.com/bN8Q3ZQ.png Refund list journal: https://i.imgur.com/AiG3nwi.png According to this she owes people in total (including me) at least 1,271$ I honestly somewhat wouldn't mind just having the art completed but in the end, I'd rather just have my money back and be done with it. I'm very upset with her and myself as I knew better than to let it go outside the chargeback date but I did it anyway. I'm thinking about contacting my bank to see if there is anything that can be done from other transactions I've had with her but even then it won't add up to the amount she owes me.

That's fine, a while later i even see this journal; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2841802/ and thought "awesome, im pretty sure she has my address so i'll get them soon!" but...nope. never got them. so i sent her some small reminders blah blah, no reply. I see a journal that she moved so...okay? http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2925667/ i was fine with that, i moved recently too and understand that things get hectic. So then i see an entry pop up here about her http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/550360.html and contact her straight there. I also see that she doesnt accept notes for commissions now and only does them through email (which i did NOT know because all contact was previously done by FA's note system in the first place) so i sent her an email. a few days later i left a shout on her FA as well. Now it was possibly a bit rushed and i didnt have patience, but since it seems that they had the time to ship other people's orders I'm just a bit worried as to why she wont ship mine. I know that at least the rainbow dash and Li-Li badges are done http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ so idk. Edit: She JUST contacted me before the entry was accepted (kinda creepy actually LOL) and says she has to redo them because they are lost. It seems that her main problem is actually shipping them out, so i hope this ends well. Edit 2: Just got them today, I'd like to mark this as resolved, thanks!

PROOF: Business was done in person at the Dealer's room. EXPLAIN: So I was scouting the dealer's room that Sunday to make some last minute shopping when the artist in question approached me with the pickup line "You need a tail". I figured why not, and began talking to him. We flex the details out and he asks me for the payment of $40. So I run to the ATM, grab the cash and pay him promptly. I ask for contact info and give him mine, since it was definitely going to be homework. So 10 days later on FA, I send him this note: I checked my notebox for a few days, nothing. Waited a little more, saw he read it, but hadn't responded to it. About 2 weeks later I send this: I could sympathize with what he had to say and told him in return, "Ahh okay! Thanks for lettin' me know! If you could, please shoot me a note when ya get to work on mine, if ya can!". So I went back to playing the waiting game. Decided to poke him again at the beginning of November: Same tune, different instrument. He read that final note, but never sent me back anything in regards to my commission specifically. A few weeks later, he posts this journal (I screencapped it in case he deletes it). At that point I was pretty peeved, Notice how he has other outstanding commissioners also wondering about their commissions. I held off for a bit before posting this entry, was hoping he'd respond to my comment, maybe even in notes, but nothing came of it. ? so I shot him a note earlier asking for a refund. Which may have been a jerk move considering it's the holiday season, but I'm really sick of this lack of professionalism. ?

At first, I could expect a reply within a few days, but that seemed to change once she informed that she was shipping the doll. The first time I was told so back on October 18th, I allowed more than enough time for a package to arrive at my location before contacting her again. I was actually given a reply around Nov 2nd saying that the doll was "on it's way", but I can't locate it. It was the last time I've gotten any sort of reply from her and as of now I have clue if the doll was lost in the mail or just never sent at all. She has a journal talking about how she had moved and didn't really have internet access at the time, so I had figured perhaps she was still trying to figure that out. But she's been active on her FA and plenty active on her Twitter this entire time. At this point, I'm starting to not care whether I get either the doll or money back as much as that I'm seemingly being ignored. Edit: The doll has been shipped and arrived at my place today!

EDIT: 2/9/2012 - I have given Dogbreath a deadline of Feb. 13th. She has agreed to the date so hopefully I will see something soon! Before I start, I want to let it known that the artist here, dogbreath, is a very sweet and polite artist. I really don't wish to give her a bad rep in any way, but I feel the beware is justified. WHO: dogbreath on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dogbreath/ WHAT: A traditional adult piece, colored, 2 characters, no BG. WHEN: I commissioned the piece back in April 2011. The piece was paid in full through PayPal. After everything was finalized, I received a sketch in May sent for my approval. I asked for a few minor changes, which I didn't receive until September. I approved the sketch and told her she was good to go. I waited again until November to contact her about my commission, where I was told that she needed to get new markers for inking. At this point, I assumed that it would be maybe another week before I saw any progress. This was the last time I've had any sort of contact. (I tend to wait at least a few weeks before contacting again.. I don't want to seem naggy.) The date of this note was November 20, 2011. I don't believe she has tried to scam me in any way, but I've become frustrated with how long my commission has been pushed back, and that she still takes commissions despite mine not being done. I have recently noted her, but I'm not sure if I should just wait it out, or ask for a refund. Hopefully the caps are readable! Please let me know if they're not. I'm hoping to resolve this soon.
  19. Dec. 14th, 2011 at 7:24 AM xxtamalexx ADDED 01/02/12 I have received my charms and was not satisfied with them (warped and had paint on them). I asked her for my refund, she offered to re-do the charms. But I have grown tired of her and asked again for my $12 back. She's been ignoring my e-mails. First Contact Dec 26th: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p18/ShazzaKitty/ref.png Second January 2nd: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p18/ShazzaKitty/ref2.png I know I should be satisfied that I got the charms. I'm not. I asked her before as well to just refund me, she promised she'd do both refund my charms and send them. Jinxsis has put a bad taste in my mouth as a commissionee. WHO: Jinxsis aka Da JinxsisWHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jinxsis/WHAT: I ordered 2 custom Tail Wag charms from Jinxsis 9 months ago, she stated in her journal that the charms would be sent out the following week once her chibi que was cleared. About a week or so after she posted a journal how some charms she sent showed up to her customers damaged and explained how the charms were on hold til she found a safer way to send them. The journal she said this in she deleted.WHEN: March 15th, 2011 09:07 PMPROOF: Only proof I have are her journal entry and an e-mail between us. I contacted her through e-mail (which sadly I cannot find) and she said she'd send the charms. After not seeing them I sent her another e-mail requiring them on October 22nd, and same thing she said to give her my address and she'd send them. Now it's nearly the end of the year and I've yet to see or hear from her. I'm beyond irritated at this point with her and pretty much lying to me that she's going to send them. And to add to this she keeps opening up for MORE charms making me think if she's even working on the ones she currently owes. At this point in time all I really want now is my money back.

  21. Dec. 10th, 2011 at 2:09 PM pagan_foxcat The following was mostly written by Jaitsu on behalf of both of us. I'll put my own blurb at the bottom: "WHO: Vani/Vanimute/VanillaKitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani WHAT: Was supposed to be a traditional art commission, in the style of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4014996/ , for $65, split between myself ( Jaitsu / http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jaitsu ) and Neopagan ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/neopagan ). WHEN: The commission was agreed upon and paid for at Anthrocon 2010 (so, mid-late June, 24th/25th?) July 27th she started posting journals going on about her life situations delaying commissions ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1586921/ ). Since she seemed aware that she had commissions waiting, including ours, we waited to prod her with emails. When she finally replied, she said she'd have the commission done by JUNE, or give us a refund. We agreed. It's now long, long past June, and we've received neither, and she's no longer reading notes or responding to emails. (Her twitter's still pretty active, though, so you can't say she doesn't have internet access) PROOF: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18095502/paganvaniemails.png EXPLAIN: See "when" for most explanation. We paid for the commission at AC '10, then gave her plenty of time to work on it... then she started putting up dramajournals, so we felt sorry for her and waited a while longer. She kept putting up journals pointing out that she was aware that there were commissions waiting, including specifically mentioning ours, so we continued to wait, until finally, we got impatient. Neo noted and emailed her again, and FINALLY got a response, offering to do our commission (now upgraded to digital) by June, or give us a refund. As of October 4th, we've received neither, and the last several notes we've sent her haven't even been read." Now, this has been sitting in my email ready to post here since mid October, but I've been hesitant to do so, maybe even a little guilty. I know what it's like to have real life throw bricks at you and the tons of other artists I commission know that I try to work with them and give them a lot of leeway(and tip frequently!) But, enough is enough. I've commissioned and had a full fursuit complete in a lot less time. After emailing her failed (which is apparently the BEST way to get in contact with her), I left her a note on FA which by it's bright yellow color has not been read since mid October, and it is now December. Due to the extensive list of people and any lack of reasonable progress on ANY of them, I'm sure there are many more people who are a little tired of waiting over a year for a simple piece of artwork that they paid good money for( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18011580/don%27t%20take%20out%20of%20here/todolist.png ), I'm just the first to post about it here. A year and a half and nothing at all, infact, lost contact yet still twittering away? She doesn't seem like the dickish sort, but irresponsible is irresponsible. For those of you who would think me foolish for getting a commish from someone with that long a lineup, I actually didn't know the artist well and the first exposure to them was the dealer's den at AC 2010. It was only after I got home did I see the huge to-do list. What's worse, is that she started offering commissions for more money in between this and had friends pay her way to AC 2011 apparently.. ? I don't know if/when she is going to resurface. But if she does I want people to know her work ethic beforehand so they don't get into the same situation.

  23. Dec. 6th, 2011 at 1:53 PM neolucky Sometimes when someone copies my work, they like to note me about it. Other times they only contact me after they were caught doing something wrong - In this case it's kind of both. After being caught, the artist in question comes to me, offers a kidney from his country and that he may have...used an image of mine. So I investigate. The user is: http://deserter-project.deviantart.com/ My original image: http://media.photobucket.com/image/starfire%20neolucky/NekoHybrid/Commission__Starfire_by_Neolucky.jpg Side by side: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/starfirecomparison.jpg His copy (rehosted as he removed it): http://neolucky.com/dajournal/commission_starfire_animecomic_by_deserter_project-d47mkql.jpg The trace: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/starfiretrace.jpg Comment in post: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/toldhimtoremove.jpg His note to me: http://neolucky.com/dajournal/kidneytrace.jpg His note entailed how he's trying to find me a kidney, and that he also used my art to make commissions. Then I happened upon his gallery and boy howdy, he's a professional tracer. Sooo yeah...probably going to be reporting a lot in this one. He's taking commissions and then outright tracing images without really understanding the legality of the matter. English most certainly isn't his first language, but I hope he understands why this is wrong. Normally I would just post him to art_theft and leave it at that, but a customer of mine bought art from him, and he's also trying to make money off of other peoples hard work =| so thats no bueno. If you spot any other traces, I'd love to have them to report with!

I dunno. I'm honestly surprised 10:26 PM: Kardi: ... well, then, you're in a mood and quarter. And also, I hope the kitten's doing okay. ? 10:26 PM: westfalen: hahaha oh my god I can't believe I'm hearing this 10:26 PM: Earwig: Yep, kitten is in a really nice place now and taken care of well 10:26 PM: Kardi: Cool. ❤️ That makes me happy. ? 10:27 PM: Earwig: I dunno why you're talking like this in a public place. It's your own noose you're tying, that's fine. I can't tell you how to run your business or how to portray yourself online 10:27 PM: westfalen: look, you two girls have fun talking kittens, ok, I'm sure you both have great cat stories to exchange 10:27 PM: Earwig: Are you drunk? 10:27 PM: Earwig: Like is this how you normally act? I'm just trying to be chill and explain what the hell you sound like 10:27 PM: westfalen: I apologize for all present for having to put up with this bullshit, I'm outtski, kids. Peace on earth. So basically: West is tired of getting nothing but grey foxes with black hair to do icons of, and expresses this by making personal attacks against me and throwing personal insults at me as a person over a simple character design, in a public chat where absolutely anyone could see it. He even goes so far as to copy and paste another commissioner's icon to make minor edits to for mine with the intention of passing it off as fully-custom work like all of his other icons and just getting my character out of the way. My icon, next to the icon West copied from: http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/4103/reklawiconprooficons.jpg He took the icon he made for Escafanatic421, copied and pasted it, and made really minor edits to the character: Eyebrows, muzzle marking, and the clothing's removed. He also moved "my" character further out of the frame to try to make it either less obvious, or so he could do less work on it, or both. I'm not impressed. When he gets called out for doing it so publicly, he proceeds to throw a fit and then leaves the channel. To be fair, I did receive the full refund as shown in the receipt I linked- The message that came with it was a simple "I don't think I can do your character right now, sorry!" I haven't received any sort of apology from West for his behavior, but I think it's because he thinks I don't know what was said about me in the livestream. While the personal attacks and this sort of behavior don't bother me too much, I'm posting this for anybody who may be considering commissioning West to beware of personal attacks and less than professional behavior if your characters happen to go against their idea of 'imaginative' character design. --Edited the post to fix spacing, it was showing up as a weird block of text for me. Hopefully that's better! Update: 11/28/2011 After just happening to run into West on livestream, I have severe doubts that this will ever be resolved. No copy-pasting to be had. I recorded every snide remark with Fraps. http://youtu.be/SVtAx9Hdz2w And Kathy had no idea this was going on, so leave her alone. Please.
  25. Nov. 27th, 2011 at 10:09 AM spotzwastaken WHO: Anuvia WHERE: Califur 2011, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/anuvia/ WHAT: I commissioned Anuvia for a badge at Califur on around June 4th, 2011. I was told it would be done before the convention ended. EXPLAIN: I commissioned a badge from Anuvia at Califur 2011 (I even gave her a tip), being told it would be completed before the end of the convention. It wasn't finished in time, but no big deal she was going to just mail it to me. A month later I was told it was finished and just needed to be mailed out. Now 6 months later I'm still waiting, after trying at least 6 times to contact Anuvia through email alone. This doesn't even count FA notes and shouts which she told me she doesn't check. It's worth pointing out that it was only my comments that she didn't check on FA since it only took our mutual friend a day to get a reply from her in a note and I see her replying to comments other people leave frequently. All this time she has been activly posting other new art in her FA gallery. All I can say at this point is if she is indeed telling the truth and my badge really is finished, just waiting for months and months to be scanned and mailed out, then I'm utterly stupified. Anuvia could fix this whole issue by walking to a mailbox but she has instead dragged it out for half a year and has offered nothing in return for my money. I've tried time and again to contact her with no success so now I'm posting here to warn others. WHEN: June 4th or 5th: Paid Anuvia in full for a badge and provided a $10 tip. June 28th: First email was sent but the email Anuvia provided on her FA page didn't work. Attempts to contact her through FA notes and shouts were all ignored. June 29th: Second email sent to another address I got for her. No response. July 9th: Third email sent, still no reply. July 10th: More than a month after I had already given her money I finally got an email reply for the first time from Anuvia. She told me the badge was finished and just needed to be scanned for my approval. July 22nd: 12 days later there's been no sign of the scan of my already finished, already paid for badge. Fourth email sent, no response. August 3rd: At this point Anuvia has been active on FA daily, posting new art and replying to other peoples comments and shouts. All of my comments of course are not acknowledged at all. Fifth email sent without a reply. August 23rd: A mutual friend of ours offered to bring my commission up to Anuvia and see what the deal was. She replied to him within a day saying she would contact me, which she did not do. September 2nd: Fifth email sent to Anuvia, I haven't heard from her personally since July 10th. No reply to this email either. At this point I gave up trying to contact her because she kept posting on FA about money trouble and having to work at her family store and having no free time. This is still completely unacceptable, but wasn't worth the headache. When there was no lul in her posting new art on FA, however, it was too much for me to take and I sent her email number six. November 9th: Email six was sent, also without receiving any response. This was my last attempt at contacting Anuvia before posting here.
