      Dealers Den at Arizona Fur Con, Mesa, AZ

    I took my 15 year old granddaughter to her first fur con on October 28th. After circling the Dealers Den many times she commissioned this artist to do a badge of her fursona.  She paid Zrcalo $15 cash for a gold badge. A photo was taken of her fursona and information was written down in their ledger, ie name, address, special details. Communications have all taken place afterwards on Twitter. I think the copies of this communication will speak for its self. As of today, Jan 7, 2019, the last communications I sent, Dec. 30, 2018, has been ignored by Zrcalo. At this point other furries have come forward to compensate my granddaughter with their kindness. I do not want anything from Zrcalo. I want others to be aware of their unprofessional business practice.

    Even if others have compensated this, zrcalo shouldn't be allowed to keep the money for work not done. It's a true shame this happened to your granddaughter's first attempt to get a commission and I hope it doesn't ruin future chances. If zrcalo doesn't respond, be sure to contact the organizers of the con and file a formal complaint. It may keep the artist from selling there again.

    Thank you. I'll be sure to contact AZ Fur Con. I did try to contact them on twitter with no response. I will go through their website and send a message. I appreciate the comments and guidance.

    How in the world do they not know what badge your granddaughter ordered from them? I'm an artist too and I wholeheartedly believe it's their job to know what commission belongs to who. Even if a lot of people ordered one, they have to be organised enough to know which badge is made for who and what badge gets sent to what address.

    The last time a badge got lost in mail for a customer from me, I refunded them the shipping costs. They also had a clear copy of the image and they were happy with the shipping refund.

    From the sound of it, they also didn't ship it with tracking? I feel like it's important to invest in a bit of extra to pay for a tracking number so the customer can see where the badge is currently, that kind of transparency is important when money was exchanged imo.

    This precisely.  A basic First Class envelope with tracking costs under $5.  I don't understand why the artist didn't ship it in that manner.

    Zrcalo didn't send me a badge, period. Even after Zrcalo pm me an image of the badge he thought was ours and I told him it was not, later he said he sent it, meaning the badge that wasn't ours. Communications were totally lacking on his part.  I agree in any dealings with sending any kind of merchandise, there should be tracking.

    I said I didn't want anything from Zrcalo, but IF a refund is sent to my granddaughter, we will donate it to a charity. Zrcalo has all the information needed to make a refund.

    I was contacted on twitter today from AZFurCon. So I will be filing a complaint with them also.

    Customer will be refunded money via envelope snail mail (per request), and also commission will be provided free of charge.

    My cat got sick after the con and nearly cost me $1k, so I had to work overtime at my normal job to cover the cost of his treatment. It put a hinderence on my organization of my commissions as well as my time being able to do them.  

    I keep a physical ledger as well as a digital one of my commissions, and had mistakenly crossed this one out and marked it as shipped (mixed up with another one, as shown in the logs)

    my mistake, and it will be rectified soon enough. I didnt respond to the customer promptly as I was away for a week when she messaged me this past time.

    It's rough when things come up that impact your ability to get your work done, but I'm a little confused as how to how your cat getting sick affected your organization of your commissions? These two things should not be connected in any meaningful way, other than in that taking care of your cat put a delay on your commissions. If your organizational process is somehow tied up in your cat, you need to disconnect that ASAP so that this doesn't happen again. You owe it to yourself and your commissioners.

    Artist to artist that kind of information really isn't the client's problem. There was nothing stopping you in that time from contacting them about a personal delay.

    Just guessing but that might be due to an error with the site's notification system, not working as it should. Artist Beware might be an old group but this site is entirely new. Error's and bugs appear on sites like this naturally.

    I'd suggest going to your Messages by clicking the envelope icon at the top, and print screening that there are no notifications in their and sending the image to a member of staff alerting them to it.

    You would be correct. We were under the assumption that users could still see their hidden comments like on the old site, but upon further testing the "mod note" option is simply for us for personal notes.

    We will have to pm users manually for rejected comments.

    Noted. I decided to let zrcalo know through their Twitter account, though I'd suggest making sure they get sent an email about it, since they were the one that lead to the discovery of this and them essentially paying the sort of "price" for this discovery. 

    Good luck with getting to grips with this site in the future, Celestina. it's always hard learning something new like this. And keep up the good work. ?
