Update: After they reached out at the beginning of the month (May 2026), they were able to finish the commission. Unfortunately, I did not grab screenshots of this interaction before they unfriended me on Discord, so I do not have access to those messages at this time. As an unprompted apology, they did also send a second artwork, which only needed a quick correction to remove the ears.

Initiated commission on the 9th July 2022, confirmed Payment of $140 USD the same day. Updated August 27th and was told there was a queue Asked for an update November 03. Was apologised to but then lacked any updates until I prompted in March 03 2023 where I was provided a crude sketch (Clearly done in panic when I asked for updates) July 5th 2023 he starts ignoring me and so I continue to ping him. He's still actively posting til Feb 2025 on this account. So I hunted his Telegram down and started following his tele channel where I confronted him. Recieved a very baseline ink of the supposed "completed work" and then he proceeds to keep ignoring me It was only when I got fed up on his Trello account that he marks my commission as "complete" August 2024 https://trello.com/c/Sq7OFnuG/50-flaydramon I joined his Telegram channel and started responding to all his posts. until he responded to me July 10 2025. Met with hollow words and a broken promise of a refund Up until February 2026 My last attempt and he's still ignoring me Finally he's just decided to ban me from his channel. I assume I'm "Bad for Business" To this date I've still yet to receive either refund nor art. and still not even read my messages.

Advice Needed: Refunded the Money?
HaruTotetsu replied to HaruTotetsu's topic in Advice for Commissioners
Ah good to know. I'll definitely take that into consideration, though its a bit more complicated since they aren't the characters original designer, and the character design in question was created more than 4 years ago. I've also looked into the characters original designer and they have had a DeviantART account for 12 years, and on their ToyHouse account state they are 24 years old. The character in question only has a SFW image and there's nothing inappropriate for kids involved in the sale, just this odd issue with payment. I did some extra digging and found the DA account of the person i bought it from and that is only 5 years old with nothing on it, and the initial transaction was via DA points. So you may be right about them not being of age. There is still a chance this is all a misunderstanding though, like they're old enough but just haven't validated their PayPal for some reason, as I know some object to giving companies certain details in this day and age because of AI data harvesting. I'm thinking I'll wait for their response and ask for them to clarify things, and after that I'll decide what to do. I'd like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Though I worry if I simply return the design this'll just happen to someone else. Thanks for all your helpful advice baja. -
I do not want to assume, but I am going to speculate the design your purchased may have been under $50, around there? You can open a Paypal account at any time, but until you verify it (by linking a bank account/card, verifying your personal info), you are limited in doing a lot with the platform. I recall when I was younger (before the minimum age limit was hard set at 18), I set up an account under a fake name and I could not withdraw more than $25 until I verified my information, like $25 was my hard limit and I could do nothing else with the account. This was about 15+ years back, so things may have changed since then, but it does sound like an account that isn't properly set-up for the platform. It could be the case that the individual never completed the set-up and may not be of age to be using Paypal, and if this is the case from their Toyhouse profile? I would wash my hands of the design and not deal with the individual again.

Advice Needed: Refunded the Money?
HaruTotetsu replied to HaruTotetsu's topic in Advice for Commissioners
Thanks baja. Not to worry about the late approval, I know things can get hectic. I've reached out to the person i bought the character from telling them about what PayPal said and offered to send the money via PayPal again, or via another place to send them funds. I should add that PayPal said they weren't a "verified" member of PayPal yet, so it might be they have introduced a policy that if you don't verify your account you need to accept any money sent to you, or it'll be refunded. So I think this is just a security measure PayPal has, rather than a refund made in error or due to the other users account being closed (it hasn't affected my account at all as I've commissioned artists and others after the initial transaction, and after I got the message about the "refund"). I don't know if the fact they made it so it has our physical address on the invoice as if its marked as a physical item being delivered to my physical address, or if this might be a more universal policy with unverified accounts at PayPal though. For now I'll wait for the adopts owners response and proceed from there. Don't know if they'll be more to post here about it, but I'll post a comment if anything comes up, that might be of interest to others. But I think the "PayPal issues refunds if you don't accept the money when your account isn't verified" is worth mentioning. -

Apologies for approving this a bit on the late side. You need to talk to the person you bought the design from, flat-out. If something was acting up with Paypal and they suddenly do not have the funds, then your original transaction would be considered void (just going by general etiquette with adopts) It could not hurt to reach out to Paypal to see what's going on with that, if you have not done so already. Be sure to **call** Paypal and do not leave it to chance with automated responses or chat functions (these are **horrendous**))

chargeback Beware: (RaveWonders/KitCat_Artist/Lunawolf.art)
Tanukily posted a record in Artist Bewares
TL;DR – Scam Warning: RaveWonders / Kitcat_artist / Lunawolf.art I sold my character Clairabelle for $50 Payment was sent through a third party who was allegedly scammed PayPal refunded the third party and charged me a $15 dispute fee The buyer stopped responding and hid the character Toyhouse support recovered the character and returned it to me Please do not harass anyone involved: this is only a warning to stay cautious Hello everyone! My name is Tanukily and I own a bunch of characters I write stories about. Recently, I have been selling some of my character designs to help cover some bills while I wait for my summer job to begin. This has meant letting go of some characters that are very important to me. I started selling my Four Seasons Deer, which were the very first characters I ever created. I plan to redesign them in the future when I am able to but for now I had to let them go. It started with Napoleon (Winter), followed by Aurelia (Autumn), and most recently Clairabelle (Spring). The following case includes: Discord interactions between me and RaveWonders, Proof of Transfer History and Ownership, and finally the Paypal Claim Documents.. For clarification: Naomi and Clairabelle shown in the screenshots refer to the same individual. They changed their displayed name during our interaction. Timeline of Events: March 20 RaveWonders/Kitcat_artist asked to DM me on Discord. We talked about putting Clairabelle on hold until April 16. Since that was a long hold, we agreed they would include a small extra piece of art or a small character for waiting. Clairabelle is worth around $241, but I listed her for $50 because I just needed to pay my phone bill. Waiting almost a month for just $50 didn't really feel worth it, but with the extra character I agreed. March 22 They told me they might be able to pay earlier around April 1 and asked for my PayPal ahead of time. I gave it to them. I even told them there was no rush and I could still hold until April 16 because if they needed that long it probably meant they were budgeting carefully, right? March 23 Out of nowhere I received $40 from a completely random PayPal account. When I asked about it, they said it was from them. Later that day I received the last $10 and that finished everything needed early. Everything seemed normal so I transferred the character. After that they showed me art they made which I genuinely loved seeing. I always love seeing what happens to characters I created. Two different people sending money Sending it their way then! Proof of Transfer History and Proof of Creation: All of this information is publicly available at: https://toyhou.se/10479852.clairabelle/ownership The next following days are relatively expected, right? They showed me all the cute art they created with the new character. April 4 I got a scary PayPal email saying the person who sent the $40 filed a dispute. I was so confused. I completed everything on my end. When I looked into the case details, it showed that RaveWonders/Kitcat_artist had apparently been asking multiple people for money using different emergency stories that had nothing to do with our agreement of receiving commissions I tried messaging them several times. No response. While gathering my ownership proof on Toyhouse, I also noticed the character suddenly disappeared. At that point I was honestly worried they deleted the character and ran off with the art. They were online a few times but completely ignored me. It just looked extremely suspicious. PayPal outcome I submitted my evidence showing: • I was the original designer • I completed my side of the transaction • This involved a third-party situation I had no control over PayPal still ruled in the other person's favor. I do understand because they were also scammed, but it still left me taking the loss. So in total I lost: • $40 refund • $15 dispute fee • My character (at the time) I did submit an appeal because I shouldn't really be punished for someone else's scam. Unfortunately, Paypal did not accept the appeal either which still leaves me at a total loss of around $55. Resolution At this point I honestly was just at a loss, but I sent a ticket to Toyhouse explaining everything. Within a few hours they responded and THANK GOD the character wasn't deleted, they had just hidden her. Toyhouse returned Clairabelle back to me and closed their account. Huge thanks to Toyhouse support for that! Beware / Notice CLAIRABELLE IS NOW BACK IN MY POSSESSION. If RaveWonders/Kitcat_artist is using the character anywhere, it is unauthorized. As for the money, I will find another way to cover the loss. I will make more characters if I need to. If anyone knows the person who was originally scammed or has contact with Kitcat_artist, I would appreciate the chance to talk and better understand what happened, since I still have yet to receive a response.-

At Anthrocon 2025, Kitsugalaxy had a booth selling custom fursuit spray packages. I commissioned Kitsugalaxy for a custom spray on 07/05/2025 and paid $150 with my credit card. We exchanged telegram contacts for correspondence, and I sent my character reference. Communication from Kitsugalaxy first stopped around August. I had to send a few messages and then bring up a refund for the vendor to finally respond. Artwork WIPs were given. A rough finish date was given, and the artwork for the scent was completed. However, directly after that, the vendor stopped communicating once more. I had to escalate in order to get a response. I was told that the package would be shipped on Saturday, but the date continued to get pushed back. Once more my messages were ignored. I had to send an escalation again to get a response, and it was apparent that the vendor had outright lied about shipping the package. I was given a tracking number and the promise of a full refund to make things right. I gave it a few days and waited to see if the tracking would update, but the package had still not been delivered to the post office. The refund was delivered, and the package was dropped off. In the end I did not receive exactly what I had paid for, the promise for the bundle being: 4 bottles of signature spray, 2 bottles of mystery spray, artwork of your OC with your chosen smell, stickers of your OC, and a mystery goodie bag. What I was given instead was 8 bottles of my signature spray, and that is it. However, since I was given a full refund, I accept the delivery as-is and have chosen to stop communicating further with this vendor.

Early July of 2025 I commissioned an artist I found on a furry social media site Ferzu.com. (The name on the site was Skitty. Unfortunately since that date they have deleted their Ferzu account so I do not have the original contact messages, but they continue to operate on Furaffinity and Deviantart.) The first set of screenshots show the connection to their first discord account used as our primary contact method: ashh#3693. The average turnaround time for their art pieces is stated to be a few days. (Also, apologies for the white space in screenshots, working Windows 11 has been a bit of a challenge, I'm not as technically savvy as I used to be.) After seeing their style, I reached out vai Ferzu DMs, and the conversation moved to Discord for payment and updates. The entirety of our conversation will be posted below. I should've seen a Paypal payment under 'Friends and Family' as a red flag, but I was naive. With a $35 payment for a ref sheet in their style, I was excited and eager to see a long-awaited character in a style I thought would fit. So, after confirming payment information, I sent the money. After a month with no update, I began to reach out as politely as possible. I understand that artists are people with lives and I was in no rush for the commission, but this is when a pattern of ghosting began to emerge. I did my best to limit my expectations and give space. They would reassure me time and again that they would be working on my commission. At this point in our communications, they had deleted their Ferzu page, and after the past month in silence, I started to worry more. After doing some searching, I was able to find a FurAffinity account linked to the discord account they had gone silent through. Seeing that their Furaffinity was active, I reached out. I was a bit afraid of an immediate ghost, so I asked at first to see if they were taking commissions. Once I received a reply, they sent me a new discord account to message. After adding them, there was three days of silence as they did not respond, so I sent the first (and unfortunately up to this point today, the only) message. If anything, I want this to be a cautionary tale not just for people looking to commission this person, but for anyone looking for any commission that you should not send payment as Friends and Family. I got lucky that this was only a $35 loss, but it could've been much more. Get a timeline on commissions, and hold them to account. Again, I understand that life happens, but open and honest communication is necessary for any kind of relationship to work, whether personal, business, or other. Thank you for your time and I wish you a good day.

On the 17th of January 2025 I reached out to Ryanyeen for a commission I talked to him saying I wanted to get a full body nsfw commission with me and two other friends, while also wishing him well. He lets me know that the deadline for commissions with him is 6 months and we discuss how the payment with it will go. his full body commission price is 250 with an additional 220 for each extra OC however the price for it was quite a lot, i was hesitant to go through with comming him but seeing his art be so high quality i figured it'd be worth it. We agreed on the payment later on being 670 and i explain to him what I'd like to be drawn for the commission, it being me spitroasted by two friends. There was a few red flags which I probably should've acknowledged and avoided him for, such as him having no Que, no slots and asking for the money up front, but because he looks to be a relatively trust worthy looking artist on the surface and he posts art pretty often I assumed he'd be worth the money. I ended up paying the 670 USD to his paypal which was almost 1 thousand dollars in my own currency and I was content with waiting for 6 months since well, that was the deadline he set for himself. Proof of payment: I gave him the ref sheets of me and my friends and left it for a month to let him do his thing, I reach back out on February the 12th and asked him if he had a que, since i felt like someone like him would have plenty of commissions and it isn't clear when he'd start work on mine. I recieve no response from him which is gonna be a bit of a trend throughout this, and i sent him a gif on february 27th to get his attention. He eventually responds to me on March the 3rd, he doesn't say that there's any que but he says he'd hopefully do a sketch for me in march. I haven't recieved any word from him so far so I reach out to him again on the 17th of march asking if he has started with the sketch, to which he responds saying he'd do it later that day, but then had an issue with his teeth which caused him not to be able too. This was still pretty early on and I'm more patient and understanding about it, on the 21st of march he does get around to doing the sketch, however I asked if he could swap em around since my raven friend wants to be the one pounding my butt. I don't recieve any new information or updates regarding the art in the next month and I don't recieve any word about how he's doing with it either even after reaching out to him, I didn't want to be an annoyance to him so i only reached out once every few weeks. On april 29 he apologises for the lack of communication and explains what's causing him to be absent and I let him know it's alright and to take his time with the art, and I end up giving him space for far longer, assuming me asking him for updates constantly isn't helping him at all. two more months passes by and it is complete radio silent from RyanYeen, it was now the middle of the year and I paid for my art back in january which means the deadline he set himself is just about up, I reach out to him on june the 12th more annoyed but still trying my best to be polite, I let him know that I've paid a lot and I'm not satisfied that I've only recieved the incomplete sketch, even asking him for a refund. I was expecting him to not be willing to refund and I sort of accepted that I may not see my money back ever again but I still remained hopeful that he'd complete it overtime since he said he'd focus on completing overdue commissions including mine. over a month later on the 29th of July i still recieved no new updates regarding the commission so i reached to him, he responds two days later saying he's catching up with comms and that he'd send updates of mine later on that week.. I never recieve those updates. August the 3rd was when my and my two other friends patience had completely run thin and i end up sending him this pretty long message which.. Was probably a bit overboard but I was growing more furious that I've paid so much just to still recieve nothing, basically threatening to let other people know about this. Throughout all of that i basically give him 1 month to complete the art or at the very least do *something* or at the very least refund my money or else I and my friends would spread the word that he's a fraud. He responds saying the piece would be finished by the end of the month and that I'd get more updates, I don't recieve any new updates that week but he does post a new update fixing the main mistake of the sketch being my friends sonas being in the wrong spots. I end up letting him know that the shark sona isnt that buff and he ends up fixing that too and began doing more actual progress with the art .. ignore this being underlined, i dunno how this happened this is the most amount of progress I've seen with the art piece during my time with him, he still makes a few mistakes here with my raven friends eye colour and the dick colours but apart from that its all looking promising. But then he suddenly stopped and went quiet, I reached out to him on october 9th asking for an update, he responds the next day saying a new update will come next monday, monday passes and i hear nothing from him. I reach out to him on thursday that week asking if there was any new updates, while also correcting the mistake I didnt notice with dither until then. He didn't respond till the next day when i pointed out dithers ears were also incorrect and were meant to be backwards. He goes quiet once again and i reach out to him on the 16th of november asking him for any new updates he sends the fixes to me the next day and asks me for a thumbs up before he continues with the rendering, to which i say yeah and that I'm glad to just be hearing from him After this i once again go another month without hearing him or getting any new progress, even though he seems to have actually locked in a bit with the art I've basically given up hope with him completing it at this point. He reaches out to me on the 1st of january 2026 saying he'd complete my art next week saying its his top priority, then silence, I reach out to him once more in february asking him if there's anything new, he says the same thing that it'll be finished next week.. And to this day I still haven't heard anything from him. During this time he was still drawing a lot on his main account and his after dark account, even making and offering slots for YCH's while he was neglecting the commission I've already paid him for, ironically enough his most recent art post being him saying he's going to get locked in to completing overdue commissions. There was even a period where he added (WORKING ON COMMISSIONS) or something like that to his twitter name but I don't have any screenshots or anything to back that up so you'll have to take my word for it. I'm in a weird spot where I can no longer be refunded because he has at least done 50% or more of the work with the art, but he's so reluctant on not doing the commission i paid him for despite still drawing and offering YCH's. Unrelated but i ended up creating this and sending it to those two friends today saying "Oh my god look its finally complete, it's beautiful!" It was a funny joke but yeah.. I made sort of a call out post on twitter pinging Ryan and accepted that I'll never see the art fully completed noir get a refund. New update! The day after I called him out on twitter and wrote this to here he just so happened to complete my artwork and sent it to me. I hope Ryan can get his shit together since I do know he is an amazing artist, I feel like if he had slots and a que you could look at, and maybe talked to his clients more he'd be far more improved but for now, I really don't encourage anyone to commission from him.

So about a month ago I bought a character from someone via ToyHouse, sent payment and they sent the character over. Today I got an email from PayPal saying they were refunding the money due to them not accepting it for over a month. This I find doubly odd, since they sent me an invoice. I've never had this happen before and I'm not entirely sure what I should do about it, so I need some advice. To be clear at this point I've done nothing because I'm absolutely confused and uncertain what to do.

- commissioned a half body sketch for $30CAD on 22/12/25, sent a $5 tip ($34.84 after PayPal fees) - she did a commission for a friend of mine that I liked the look of beforehand, she finished his commission within 3 days of payment and has also done gift art for him since - she has been active on bluesky on and off since taking my com, actively advertising "quick turnaround" sketch commissions and posting personal art and gift art (mostly for accounts with bigger followings) - also nearly daily active on discord but hasn't responded to my messages since 19/02/26 when she said she had a sketch she would send the following day. - have reached out to her on discord and bluesky comments with no success, submitted a PayPal chargeback.

Would sending an artist an ultimatum make them rush work?
baja replied to Breadloser's topic in Advice for Commissioners
You have done what you can and all you can do is wait. In the future, if you find yourself with a similar situation, I would recommend only asking for a refund and abandoning the notion of getting any art from the individual. You yourself must contend with losing art, getting something you may be unhappy with or not having your money back. If you receive something you are not content with and it isn't worth the hassle for revisions, etc, you may have to chalk up the experience to a loss.- 1 reply

An artist has been delaying so much even after I asked for updates throught the past months Ive read the post about ultimatums here, so I had to send an ultimatum a few days ago, either they refund me or just finish the piece and if they can't do neither I'll file, they agreed to finishing the piece in 1 week Now im afraid I'll just end up with a carelessly done piece, and i know once they deliver there won't be anything I can do, say that happened, do I still have the right to demand anything? Thanks

I have bought multiple commissions from Lausig, enough so that I have lost count, and they have consistently delivered within reasonable times with great results. The only time I have had an "issue" was when a piece did not end up to my liking, which was my fault due to my own lack of communication. Great pricing and easy to work with! Their Furaffinity account is found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/lausig/ Below is the first commission that I got from them, many many more have come since then.

On January 13th of 2025, I went to Meebee on Telegram to ask for a commission Listing for the Chibi Commissions After discussing the details of the commission, I paid same day After just a few short days, I was told it was going to be worked on already And was given updates after this pretty frequently for the next few days. This was the point where no updates were given for a couple of months until I had to ask. This last message would not be answered until nearing the end of July 2025, where I was asked if changing the commission would be on the table, I actually liked the style I originally went for, so I asked to just keep it as is. After a couple MORE months had passed by, I was getting fatigued so offered to change the idea if it meant getting it done. The next ask wouldn't be till January 7th, 2026, where nothing had been done and they wanted to cancel the idea completely. At this point, I should've just taken the refund, but didn't want to hurt their way of paying bills, food, ect so compromised with one of their ych These were the last messages sent on January 7th and I have not recieved anything since then after picking one As of today, several ych have been posted on their social media, as well as Valentine's day ones. They do no have visuals of their queue so I have nothing to show for how long these others have been waiting as well. As of February 10th, 2026, they have reopened for personalized commissions after telling me they would no longer be doing those this year Going to contact them once more for just a full refund after dodging updates and lying, hopefully something can be done. Updated --- After contacting and confronting them about dates and missed deadlines, I was told on Feb. 17th that it would be started. As of today, they have finished several other commissions, as well as recently opened ones. If nothing is sent by the 17th of March I'll be taking the full refund. Updated ---- Gave them the month, and after seeing them post more recently opened commissions, asked for the refund With it being the 28th as of this update, not really holding my breath for it any time soon. Update for 04/07/2026, refund issued

- I commissioned Oddgrowl Art/Arcane Chimera/Rillrex on Saturday July 5th, 2025 in-person at Anthrocon's Artist Alley. They were vending under the name "Oddgrowl Art". I commissioned a black and white traditional sketch for $70 and tipped $10. This sketch was to be completed at-con, but the artist did say that it may need to be a take-home commission (to be done shortly after the con). - Proof of payment ( - I followed up a couple weeks later on July 31st to check the status of my commission and did not receive a response. I tried again on August 10th and did not receive a response until August 23rd, where Oddgrowl offered to send me a wip of the black and white sketch. I agreed to see the wip, and I have not received a response since. On November 17th I requested a refund if Oddgrowl was not able to provide the WIP in a timely manner, and I have not received a response. I have not followed-up since the November email. Mod Note: Follow-up was sent to Rillex via Bluesky on 2/19/26 and has not received a response.

On November 30th 2025, I purchased an adopt from Kaniepanies on YCH.Commishes for $25. I paid the attached ko-fi account, to which the artist confirmed they recieved payment & then gave me the unwatermarked PNG of the adopt A month later, I noticed the adoptable was listed on YCH again by a user called Vishmesh, and I reported it for theft thinking someone else was stealing the adopt and trying to scam people. I messaged Kani/Kanis and infomed them with a link to the auction, to which they immediately removed me from their dms, blocked me, deleted the auction where I had won, and changed their ko-fi handle to cover their tracks. The new ko-fi handle, Kanis, shows a $25 payment on November 30th, 2025 - same day I paid for the adopt, and the only ko-fi payment I made that day. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the same person. As of January 8th 2025, they are going by Vishmesh on YCH. They will likely change their usernames again to continue this scam.

This is to serve as notice that we were contacted by SmashedOysters recently attempting to pretend that he wasn't Arocco. While he has done a good job trying to scrub Arocco from his history, we were able to confirm our original links to him as Smashed today. Edit: Also confirmed via his Paypal.me link having the same legal name.

October 3rd - 7th, 2023 Witchness posted that she was open for stream slots that were supposed to be done next day or the day after in stream, I filled out and submitted a form and she messaged me the next day saying that she would be sending me an invoice. I paid once it was sent and waited for her to post that she was streaming, which she never did. On the 7th she sent me a message saying her stream wasn't working and that she had to work out of stream. She sent me a WIP (which I approved of) and told me she would be finishing it next day. I didn't hear anything from her personally outside of her posting personal issues on her page. January 4th-10th 2024 I honestly cannot remember the exact date but I ended up joining her server for commission progress at some point and she had a ticket system for that. I received a response from her on the 10th, explaining that she had a lot of "other people on (her) plate" but that she should finish my piece "in a couple weeks at most!" so I reacted with an emoji and waited. May 14th, 2024 Since I hadn't heard anything from her since her last response I sent a message asking for an update since it had been five months without a word from her. June 27th, 2024 She responded to me saying she was going through owed work and she was sorry for the delays. June 30th, 2024 Her manager had sent me a message saying that Witchness needed updated information from me and sent me a form to fill out and reply with. I ended up having surgery and I think I cleared my notifications and missed Biba's message. July 14th-15th, 2024 I went to check on my ticket and noticed the response I missed, I apologized for not responding sooner, mentioning my surgery and replied with the filled out form. The next day, Biba responded telling me that it was fine and sent me a link to Witch's Trello so I could "keep track" and that she'd ping me again when there were updates. September 1st, 2024 Another one of her managers/ mods replied to my ticket to tell me that Witch had said she'd be going through her tickets and delivering wips so I should expect a response soon. October 11th, - November 1st, 2024 In October I was starting to get impatient after several empty promises, alongside Witch constantly taking on new commissions and doing huge adopt sheets and personal work and decided to message her. So I sent a message in the ticket thread stating that I understood that she was having issues but it was completely unfair that I had been waiting over a year for my head shot and that I understood she had a lot of commissions owed but I wanted an update. I didn't get a response until the 1st of November, where another moderator basically relayed what I had already known from her server updates and public Twitter posts. Mentioning eviction and stating she was in a bind because several people had been charging her back so she was taking the time to make adopts to make up for that and that they didn't have an ETA for me and wouldn't for a while. I didn't respond because I didn't know what to say at that point. February 19th, 2025 I ended up messaging again as I had seen her publicly taking on new commissions, I stated it had been four months and that I'd seen her taking and doing the new commissions. I was ignored and didn't receive a response until October. October 18th - 21st, 2025 Another mod messaged me saying they "Reached out" (?) and that I should ping Witch on the following Monday. I was busy with IRL happenings and forgot to ping her until it was Tuesday and explained as such. Witch had replied stating that it was okay and that her mental health was doing better and that my wait time shouldn't be over 2 weeks. She said after she sent me a WIP, she'd be giving me a stream day where I could watch my commission be finished, and she was sorry because she had to do a lot of refunds. November 4th - 10th, 2025 I messaged saying I was getting fed up from another false deadline, especially since I already had a wip from 2 years ago. She replied to me on the 7th, saying that she had thought she sent me a message letting me know she was going to be delayed. She apologized and said she "thought I didn't respond" and "was okay with the delay" because I @'d myself in the message. (I had replied to my form message.) She gave me a WIP that I wasn't that happy with. In the time since I commissioned Witch, her style had changed a bit and one of the biggest changes was doing bigger bottom lips as well as a top lip. I told her it was mostly looking good but I had two complaints, the lips (as they're not my cup of tea) and then I felt like her face shape didn't look right, that her facial structure looked too long so I asked her if she could change it to be more like this other piece she did back around the time I initially commissioned her. She responded telling me she "couldn't edit the face shape" but she could fix the lips. She said the face wasn't different from the sketch besides "moving the eye down." She then sent an overlay of the sketch on the piece and then a separate image of the WIP with the fixed lips. I honestly did not feel like arguing this, I just told her the lips looked better. She responded to me two days later to say "good" and that it would be finished soon. December 10th - 12th, 2025 Literally the day after I initially posted this Beware to Artist Beware (Dec 10th) she just so happened to message me to tell me my comm would be done soon. (Dec 11th) Then the next day (Dec 12th) she made a post in her updates about how she wasn't going to be able to work on commissions because her pen nib broke but then also said she'd be able to because she has her IPAD. Later that same day she stated she was ordering a new pen and would start work again on the 17th, it is now the 18th and I haven't heard anything. Trello listing:

The absolute audacity to essentially go "ok yeah, your grandma just died, but how about my art?" Disgusting clients. Thank you for warning us about them, and I'm so sorry for your loss.- 1 comment
