  1. I'm choosing to submit a beware on this artist in case they pop up again, I don't know if it's because of everything going on with Russia that they've disappeared, but I feel I've given them more than enough time to make things right. On 16th August 2021 I saw their YCH of some cake ponies that I found super adorable so I decided to buy two slots that were sold together, I was told the files had gone missing so the YCH would take a little more time, which I'm fine with. I generally don't mind waiting for art. I paid for the YCH + tip and waited. Below is the YCH post, the comment chain and payment. I didn't really contact the artist after this, figuring they needed a while. Eventually it slipped my mind with everything going on in the world, and I'll admit I could have pestered the artist for updates but as I mentioned, I don't mind waiting for art. I've learned from this though and try to keep up to date with artists nowadays. On May 5th 2022 I get a message on DeviantART from the artist, apologizing for being gone and promising to finish the art + extras. I replied with my refs as requested and waited. In June I followed up and again in July without any further reply from the artist. I gave the ultimatum in September that I'd be posting a beware, and I feel like I've given them enough time now to get back to me. I don't think I'll ever get a refund or the art at this point, the last finished YCH is from Oct 2021.
  2. *Just something to note, but unfortunately the ych commishes website doesn't have exact time stamps, only a rough estimate* In the beginning of February of last year, I won an auction of Mazik's on the ych commishes site with a bid of $75. After I sent her my PayPal email and refs, Mazik asked if I wanted to add on a background to the YCH at a discounted rate, which I accepted (bring the total from $75 to $110). She then sent me an invoice on February 10th which I paid immediately. Only after paying it did she tell me that there was going to be a delay in the art because of problems she was having. I didn't think much of it and told her that it was fine, and not too long after I got a WIP so I figured things were back on track. After a long wait without any update, Mazik came back and told me that another issue had come up and that she'd have the art ready by the end of the week. Again, I didn't think much of it and told her that I was fine with it. After another long wait I asked Mazik for an update, and she told me that she thought she had already sent me another WIP. I received another update and gave her my approval on it, but then the silence started again. On the 7th of September I sent her an email asking for an update, as well as a message on the ych website informing her of the email. On the 9th and 11th of September I messaged her through twitter asking again for an update. She responded to me on the 11th telling me that she had trouble accessing her ych commishes account, and that the art was ready. The next day she posted a google drive link with the art. She added me on discord on the 12th and we began to discuss the entire process. I also pointed out that the art in the google drive folder didn't have the background that I paid for, and also asked for a clothed version of one of the pics. She agreed to fix everything up, and then on the 15th told me that she had yet another problem and would need more time. This was actually the last time that she contacted me. I messaged her on twitter multiple times after this asking for an update, but still with no response. I'm trying not to be too pushy with the messages but really it's been far too long.
  3. I have paid for a headshot YCH posted on March 12, 2019. I inquired about a change of character and my question was not answered. I then found another set of commission slots that they have opened up for, I requested for a slot and the artist agreed. I did have an issue with sending the payment and asked the artist to cancel the YCH and use the funds to pay for the other commission. The artist agreed, I had offered to use the over payment from $30 to $20 as a tip. I have asked for updates over the next few months and I have not received replies. The messages are not read, and the artist is active on Twitter. 4. Wanting to put out a beware on this person. Originally Autobid on a YCH that I got 9 months ago. 65 dollars for the whole thing because it also included 2 "free" bonus flat pictures IF you did the AB on it. I did actually receive the YCH about a month later. Granted, they didn't follow the reference very well, but it can be overlooked. No problems on the style of art as it did look good. However, when questioned last about the additional flats (in December) I was informed that he would get them to me that week. That was 5 months ago. I don't for see him actually replying to this latest message I sent where I requested at least a partial refund. The reason I went as far as to even mention that to him, because that same day he posted up two new YCH's for sale. Trying to push out more sales without ever finishing the original. Edit 08.26.19: Hello. I wanted to put an update on mine. After all this time RomeliaBlue has done right and I consider this resolved. He has refunded me a partial amount (the amount I suggested in my replies) and has apologized. He did state that he will be trying to get the other portions of the agreement (the other 2 pictures for the AB bonus) done, but I'm not holding my breath on that and I consider the matter taken care of. I don't know if he just now saw that I had it on here, but it's currently at my satisfaction.
  5. Artist sells regular monthly YCH auctions, purchased a spot at significant auto-buy price and paid promptly. Item was completed and no further contact from artist. This weekend the artist posted their latest batch of finished commissions and I noted that mine was posted - as well as another near duplicate piece featuring another character from the same base sketch. The artist resold the same sketch to a second regular commissioner without notification to the auction winner/original buyer. No mention that this was a possibility was in the auction terms, nor in any terms of service the artist provides. For the significant price paid, I feel it is reasonable to assume the exact sketch would not be reused as a base for additional work. Evidence below: Original YCH Auction Posting: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31055673/ (NSFW) My completed commission: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31414530/ (NSFW) Second piece from same base: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31414687/ (NSFW) I did contact the artist and they did confirm that they sold the piece twice. All that was offered was an apology and statement they would avoid doing it in the future. However, I did note a second set of identical pieces in the recent postings - I cannot speak to the situation of those and will not link them here, but it gives evidence that this may be a recurring pattern and makes me doubt changes will be made to their practices. While I don't expect any resolution from the artist (they did deliver a completed piece as commissioned), I did want to warn the community about the incident given the high profile of the artist and high cost of their work. Buyers beware.
