About Me

  1. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/982743.html Who: CrystalUniicorn Where: https://crystaluniicorn.deviantart.com/ What: Custom Draft Horse Stallion Lineart/ base When: Commissioned on August 11th 2016 EXPLAIN: I commissioned Crystal on August 11th 2016 for a Draft horse base because she and I had talked about lineart custom previously via comments on one of her submissions, she explained a custom lineart would be 15$ and I agreed, explained what I wanted and left it at that. I didn't note her about it afterward because I trusted her to finish her list of commissions in a timely manner, she was very kind and professional. Around mid September she posted a journal stating she'd be catching up on commissions and posting them soon but after one batch of horse adoptables she disappeared. I posted a Lost contact and never received any info other than a locked instagram which I found out she doesn't use anymore, she hasn't responded to commissioners even when she came back to deviantart for a month. I've sent her a note which has gone unresponded to. Proof: (Tried to make these as big as possible) Original Note; https://imgur.com/IpUTNvJ PoP; https://i.imgur.com/Mx6R9ew.png Journal Mentioned; https://i.imgur.com/l8sa5L5.png Unread note status; https://i.imgur.com/104QthE.png Unread note contents; https://i.imgur.com/vhoV9X6.png Not really sure what to do at this point. EDIT/ 1/29/18; Sent an email to the last known email / email I paid through paypal to see if by chance she'll answer me, highly doubt it due to people saying she's ignored them but I'll cross my fingers. EDIT: 2/18/18; My email and note have still not been answered and from what I can tell she's still avoiding deviantart even though a commission widget is still on her page ( can be seen here; https://i.imgur.com/PghBT4r.png ). I'm sick of this tbh EDIT: 7/9/18; She's made a full return and has been posting, albeit infrequently, but still hasn't posted commissions/ given refunds from what I've seen. She HAS posted p2u (pay to use) bases/ linearts and persona reference sheets though which leads me to wonder... but I digress. I sent her a note 3 days ago as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/wq79Unh.png it's been read but not replied to. (Contents of said note: https://i.imgur.com/TZykIzK.png )
  2. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/982501.html WHO: BigBlueRaptor WHERE: @bigblueraptor on twitter, LeeLee on Furaffinity WHAT: Kaiju LED badge WHEN: May 3rd, 2017- Initial contact May 4th- payment August 19th- First sign of trouble. Asked where my position was in the queue and received no response. EXPLAIN: October 28th- The deadline I had specified on the commission form was the next week so I contacted them asking if they were ready to send the badge. I had seen the completed art (which was a template. They had not specified the art would be on a template either) but they had not contacted me with it. I had to scour their twitter. November 10th- They asked me if I would be at MFF so they could give me the badge. I told them I wasn’t sure so mailing it would be the best. I’d prepaid for shipping anyway. After this they refused to answer twitter DMs. I @ ed them on twitter and they said the didn’t make it to MFF. They did not reach out to tell me this, I had to reach out to them. No mention of shipping the badge. Despite my attempts, no further contact has been received from them. 3. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/981816.html WHO: Sugar N’ Spice Costumes: Primarily CorpseCat aka Kittencheshire aka Prince Mocha aka Neo via Sugar N’ Spice Costume email contact. Other members of Sugar N’ Spice Costumes should be noted: Cackle aka Bullie and Fortune WHERE: Mainly dealt with them via Email and Telegram; their business is based on FA under Sugarandspice, http://fursuitcontact.wixsite.com/sugarandspicecostume, and http://www.sugarnspicecostumes.com/ however they do deal with business via Telegram WHAT: 2 Partial Fursuits WHEN: 1st payment was on April 24, 2016 with final payment on May 26, 2016. Trouble started around August which was two months before the original deadline. EXPLAIN: At first everything seemed fine and was going as planned; I asked about their turn around for suits and they state it’s about a month or so after 80% paid off (See capture here: https://imgur.com/w21eazp ). I ask if final payment was done in July if it would be done and shipped before October in which I was assured it would. We spoke about the suits periodically and on June 13th they stated they were ordering a base for the head as they work off of bases (See capture here: https://imgur.com/lGaKQkm https://imgur.com/ZbaBTgr ) and on July 14th I inquired if they had gotten the base for the head in which they then told me it takes 3-5 weeks to cast them let alone ship it plus the dealer had to deal with AnthroCon and another con (see capture here: https://imgur.com/r3vj5Lh ); at this stage I started worrying naturally as things sounded a little shady, but gave the benefit of the doubt. As time progressed I contacted back around August 5th to see how things were going on our partials with zero response until the following day on the 6th in which I heard nothing from them about it. On August 8th I asked again and received no message from them until the 12th in which they reassured it will be done by October as planned. (see capture here: https://imgur.com/PMdTcad ) and then proceeded to check in on the 30th of August and finally on September 3rd they show me they have the head; the previous screen cap shows this as well. Back and forth takes place and by October 1st they finally state that they are trying to get our suits done on time while dealing with other things and no word about it again until I contact them on the 11th which proceeded to fall on deaf ears until I got word on the 16th; however nothing was said about the suits. Needless to say the deadline, as it was for us to wear at a specific convention, came and went. On November 29th I asked casually if I could put some design changes in as they hadn’t been working on it just to see if I’d even get a response in which they said sure and would resculpt the head as if they were still working on it; though at this point it really red flagged me as no suit maker in their right mind would agree to something that would be significant in the way of change to simply resculpt it no problem (See capture here: https://imgur.com/f4gqaPr ). We converse from time to time between then and February 27th with no message about my two partials. I ask again on the 27th (See capture here: https://imgur.com/lsq0Btp ) and no message until March 15th of 2017. April 24th comes by and I ask about my partials with putting my foot down; they said progress is slow, but would be before Halloween in which that was the con we needed it for again (See capture here: https://imgur.com/N8xAvmp ). June 8th comes by and I am getting even more concern (See capture here: https://imgur.com/uie6Ep4 ) in which I state if we should even continue with it after all this time; they tell me if everything goes well it should be September 1st when they are done. Next time I talk to them in August I find out they switched to another Telegram handle and on August 25th I am getting really concerned as they’ve shown me no WIP images then they try reassuring me that they’ve made 2 partials in 3 days… Another red flag that I was pretty sure wasn’t possible (See capture here: https://imgur.com/U5zlvBG ). On September 29th I voice my concerns again with a more “putting my foot down” tone. They tell me they are working on it which considering all this time it should have been done three times over (See capture here: https://imgur.com/1niS9Vn ) and we even talk about shoe sizes (which I have captured here to show they then eventually give us the wrong shoe size: https://imgur.com/owCHbbp ). We speak periodically with no updates on the suits until October 11th where they ask me for a reference in regards to BOTH of the suits (See capture here: https://imgur.com/xVLbIRI ). On October 16th, mind you again all this time I have had no WIP shown of the partials, I finally put my foot down as the deadline has passed once more (See capture here: https://imgur.com/XcVI4VC ) and time goes on with no response until I ask how they are on the 18th where they tell me they’ll send screenshots soon. I ask again the following day for those screenshots of the partials with no response. I proceeded to bombard them with messages between the 19th to the 23rd in which they finally say they weren’t ignoring me, but was having issues with Telegram. They provide a picture of the feet (See capture here: https://imgur.com/4e0fgAb ). Another blackout and multiple demands later, between October 24th to October 29th, I finally threaten to get Paypal involved for a dispute (See capture here: https://imgur.com/kVSFHpB ). I then start emailing them over this and they proceed to tell me that it was lost in the mail and that they would remake them (See capture here: https://imgur.com/CxvrpwZ https://imgur.com/Pt6yUoz https://imgur.com/R1jp1Wz ); this would be the final red flag that told me they were scamming us as no artist would just simply say this and then just “oh well we will remake them no problem!” attitude. I give an ultimatum and they accept a November 10th final deadline and even state (in the previous capture) that they’d provide an extra gift for our trouble with all of this. Time progresses and no response nor reply to my email on November 11th. Finally I get pictures coming in here and there; we talk briefly from time to time. Eventually January comes around and they ship it. I receive both partials on January 12th with something interesting; the feet that were supposedly “lost in the mail” that were shown to me before AND the extra gifts mentioned were not even there which was the final straw that lead me to make an artist beware about this business/person. I also would like to add that you can clearly tell the partials were rushed and attention to detail was missing in which ear heights are miss-matched, heads were too small, feet too small, misaligned jaw, and other problems that should have never happened. Main purpose of this is to warn others that this is a common process with them as I was informed by others after my experience that I was not alone in how flip-floppy they are with their business with some not even receiving anything be it a refund or product. PROOF: The proof provided in this section are various screencaps of comparing the original “lost” suit images to that of what came in the mail. I only have the feet to provide, but those are exactly the same. This also contains the Quality Promised image to compare to the Quality Received. Shoe size issue (Told them one size and they send the wrong size): https://imgur.com/vcwBn31 Proof of first payment: https://imgur.com/3Tr0svb Proof of final payment: https://imgur.com/X43Qnxv Quality Promised (Notice uniformity, proper trim of the fur, and attention to detail): https://imgur.com/EmcnLXp Quality Received: >Head/cheek proportions are off - https://imgur.com/C4AoQrF >Misaligned jaw - https://imgur.com/h01lafA >One ear is larger and higher up than the other as well as horn being stuck on the top of the head rather than forehead area - https://imgur.com/cfjjPrg >Hair was too short so they threw on extra hair at the end of the head making it look messy and done in a hurry - https://imgur.com/5tzZg1w >Jackal ears misaligned and misshapen as well as eyebrows being misaligned https://imgur.com/zMSCpWk https://imgur.com/LgvX2Pw >Jackal face being misaligned and skewed - https://imgur.com/M101jk2 Lost feet compared to feet received (notice they are exactly the same; as in they were never “lost”): https://imgur.com/8Uyn1DG Received feet: https://imgur.com/9nHs987
  4. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/981645.html UPDATE: (5/28/18): Oh &#$%ing boy. Hello again my friends on AB. I have an update. Upon really thinking about it, I am so, so tired and annoyed. On the same day that this was resolved Fuu had said they'd send me the completed laminated badge in the mail within the next week (https://imgur.com/a/bQYXUWH). Cool. It's almost June and I have NEVER received it. At this point, I give up. Not active on their art twitter. Highly active on their personal twitter. They uploaded everyone's finished badges on instagram except mine? Like okay, maybe I'm being petty, but maybe someone else gets me. It's not like there was only one of said badge, but the reason this is SO beyond annoying for me is that I'm so tired of asking Fuu to just. Get. It. Done. Get it done and we don't have to speak about it ever again. But now, I'm fed up, and Fuu get's a bad review from me. I was sympathetic, but now, I'm really not. UPDATE (1/18/18): Fuu has contacted me with the finished art and even offered me a full refund. I declined the full refund as I was just happy to have my art. Fuu is by no means a terrible person and has very humbly owned up to their mistakes with absolute grace. Lovely human being, but just a poor example of customer service, which I hope to see them improve on in the future. WHO: Fuudles/ButlerInHeels WHERE: https://twitter.com/Fuudles WHAT: Coloured badge WHEN: Invoice for payment was sent September 5th, 2016. I remember clearly because I was not in the country when I contacted them. First signs of trouble appeared near the end of the year when they were taking on more commissions and not completing ones they had previously taken. EXPLAIN: I was under the impression the artist had an excellent work ethic as people were retweeting their completed commissions in a very timely manner. This set them up as someone who was excellent to commission because they had good prices and high quality work. I was very happy to receive a slot from them. I’m pretty sure that I was the last person they accepted in that batch/run of badges. I received an inked WIP ten days after the invoice was paid. They posted a coloured WIP in October of my badge flat-coloured with something like fifteen-odd other commissions in the same stage of completion. I thought it was excellent that they were getting so many done so fast. I was not at all concerned and was willing to wait 1-2 months because I knew they had lots to do. Come January 2017 they had a computer crash and their hard drive was toast. If anyone is sympathetic, it would be me; I was in a similar situation ages ago. I was under the assumption that my file was not recovered as I waited another 2-3 months for my commission with nothing. I was not informed whether or not my art was recovered (spoiler alert: it actually was recovered, but did I know that? Nope.), and while it may be my responsibility to ask, it’s also the artist’s responsibility as someone who is running a business to be upfront and clear with their customers, no matter how many people they owed art to. Over the course of 2017, I constantly saw Fuu finishing commissions that I was highly certain were taken long after I had paid for my own. They were opening commissions for convention pick-ups, completing them all in easily a week or less. At this point, I’m getting really irritated; they are obviously fully capable of completing commissions quickly, and I couldn’t understand what was taking so long. I was also thinking about other people that might be waiting alongside with me. I could easily go through the WIPs they have posted in the past, and tell you who has and who hasn’t gotten their art. MOST people have gotten their art, but for some odd reason, I feel as if I have been forgotten. I’m sure there are a handful of others who feel the same way, but are too afraid to assert themselves. Come July 2017, I finally messaged Fuu as the one year mark was coming up. I said to them I felt as if I was forgotten and they assured me I wasn’t. They said come mid-August and after Midwest FurFest, would be a good time to expect my commission to be completed. Come September 2017, and I had not heard anything. In all fairness to Fuu, I understand doing owed art and working at a job is very difficult to balance. And I was also very patient because I was sympathetic. But it’s not an excuse when you have already proven yourself to be very quick to finish commissions only to pull the rug under your customers. Come January 2018, I realize I have not seen Fuu on my newsfeed in sometime - turns out they have been inactive on their art account and main account for almost a month with no warning to commissioners. To wrap it all up I feel jerked around, lied to, and my patience has been taken advantage of. Regardless if the art is completed, this kind of customer service is unacceptable and disregards the integrity and loyalty of your commissioners. PROOF: https://imgur.com/a/wHznd I first messaged Fuu on September 3rd, 2016. Invoice was sent and paid on September 6th, 2016. I received a WIP on September 15th, 2016. A coloured WIP was posted on October 15th, 2016. That’s as far as the art has ever gotten Updated: On January 3rd 2018, because it’s now the new year, I decided to send Fuu another message. Obviously this one is not as kindly worded as my other messages. https://imgur.com/a/RVOeA It remains unread since January 3rd, 2018. They also still seem to be inactive on both their art account and main account. I still am completely unaware of what caused their disappearance as there is nothing to tell what caused it. Obviously it can be cause for worry but nothing indicates something very bad has happened, so, at this point, it seems pretty fruitless.
  5. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/981455.html WHO: Cosmiicolor/occasionallylucario/Hot blooded lucario WHERE: http://occasionallylucario.tumblr.com/ and https://twitter.com/cosmiicolor WHAT: Group digital art commission WHEN: Time of payment 9/01/2017, time of suspicion 10/24/2017 EXPLAIN: Me and some friends just wanted a little semi chibi styled group pic, it got a little awkward since we had 2 late joiners but it got settled. We had her in our discord so she could talk to any of us at any time. A few days after commissioning I sent a DM to ask if she could provide a link to her stream so we could watch but before I could start asking she stated she was sick and didnt say anything else after. I sent a few DMs spread out over large wait times to not spam her but was completely ignored each time. Another in our discord sends her a message and gets ignored as well. I wait out the holidays to give her another chance before saying anything and decided to wait till 1/05/2018 to call her out. One of us even pulled money back from paypal before the take back period ended and that still caused no response. Upon calling her out her first and only response was to block me, solidifying that she took our money and ran. PROOF: When the group DM was called together to discuss: https://i.imgur.com/ZfRGEER.png Recapping the commission: https://i.imgur.com/DzaSlkL.png Moment of paying: https://i.imgur.com/RElqa5M.png Confirmation of ignored messages: https://i.imgur.com/gzILj3X.png Confirmation of being ignored and blocked on Twitter: https://i.imgur.com/JadKeE1.png https://i.imgur.com/ejRCYGF.png
  6. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/979990.html *edit*Resolved! Turns out trying to get my money back from paypal reminded them of my commission and they delivered. I'm very thankful. It looks great. I am still actively trying to either get a refund or the finished piece from the artist and am open to a resolution. I've never had to do this before and honestly I feel bad but I have been scammed by too many artists at this point. :C WHO: KARNxJiro WHERE: https://karnxjiro.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Digital Art WHEN: Initial Contact Oct 4, 2017 EXPLAIN: Ignored me for nearly a month. When they finally did get in contact with me they said my commission had been done for weeks and they would upload it promptly. It's been about another month since that. PROOF: October 4, 2017 Initial conversation where we agree on the commission and image. It should also be noted the artist states "the delivery time is within a week after draft approval" https://imgur.com/h2cw5JF October 5, 2017 Continued discussion on specifics of commission. Draft was provided, as well as paypal email. (which has obviously been blocked out) https://imgur.com/vmdhBOa October 5, 2017 WIP I approved. Which I really liked, and it's a super shame I may never see it finished. https://imgur.com/gczxeyO October 5, 2017 Me approving the draft and paying the artist. I even pay them more than they had requested. Which they almost refunded me for. https://imgur.com/BIkH61a October 13, 2017 Over a week later, as you may recall from the October 4th post it should have only taken a week. https://imgur.com/6IyrNYX October 16, 2017 A couple days later I decided to contact them via email since I had not seen or heard from them on dA for a bit. https://imgur.com/ceTNMfD October 17, 2017 I get a response! It seems really positive. Just an issue with ISP. They will get back to me. https://imgur.com/mHnC1Dk October 18, 2017 They tell me that the image will be late (which it already is) but I'm ok with that. For my patience they offer to design some extra things on my character for me. That's awesome! https://imgur.com/iPGA1P3 October 26 — November 3, 2017 I try to contact them again with no response. It shows the unopened dA notes a week later. https://imgur.com/MbhQcvu November 17 - November 19, 2017 I try again to contact them. With success. (though I switched emails). They remember who I am, what my commission is, and that they will get it to me ASAP. They also mention the commission is done. It's finished at this point, I guess they just forgot about me. By November 19 there is still nothing from the artist. https://imgur.com/x7uvkZx November 20, 2017 They contact me saying my image will be up tomorrow! Excitement! https://imgur.com/DXQnmdg By this point I decide it is a good idea to take a screenshot of their dA page/recent arts with timestamp. To show that my image is in fact not there. I also added a comment to their page, which you can see it is something innocent and playful. https://imgur.com/wMwsl7q November 27, 2017 No contact from artist. No change to their dA page. https://sta.sh/0167tuwexrm1 November 29, 2017 They contact me saying they were occupied with another client and will upload on dA today. This is 12 days after they said my commission was done. https://sta.sh/019hqp4hdzj8 December 29, 2017 I think I've tried to contact them here and there at this point with no response. It has been a month now. I took a screenshot of their dA page today, which seems to have changed slightly. My commission however has not been uploaded. Also my comment seems to have been hidden. I'm not sure what was wrong with it. Assuming the worst at this point, though I would love to be pleasantly surprised. https://sta.sh/019g0wgsavqs I've also reported the transaction to paypal at this point in hopes of getting my money back. Sorry this is longwinded. I've never been in this situation before and I wanted to make sure my bases were covered.
  7. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/979396.html WHO: SilverDeni WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/silverdeni/ WHAT: $60 Digital Flat Commission, don't care if completed at this point WHEN: Commissioned Feb 27th, 2013 EXPLAIN: Back in 2013, I replied to a journal post on SilverDeni's page for flat commissions, she mentioned college work but also laid out a plan to get the commissions done so I already had an expectation that it might take a bit to get the art and was perfectly fine with it. [Journal in question is here - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4385634/] [Journal with work plan — http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4403494/] Time passes and she posts an update that things will be slow due to IRL things, and also that she'd be taking on some more commissions in another journal. I also sent a PM to her letting her know to delay mine a bit if she needed some breathing room, her response in is PM1 in the proof below. [Update http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4445386/] [More commissions — http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4473308/] I also sent her a couple PMs later that year to check in, PM2 below has those conversations. I did not receive a response from either, and the second one was because she wrote a journal complaining about impatient commissioners, this was recently after I asked for an update so I wanted to apologize. I unfortunately don't have a link to this journal as its been deleted. She then disappears from the web for about 2 years minus various journals about trouble in college and life. Eventually I decide to PM her again, she posted a sketch of my character that I commissioned in her scraps so I was inquiring about this, this conversation is in PM3 below. I didn't receive a response from the last message I sent, I tried contacting her again later on that year, This is in PM4. I also then tried to contact early this year through PM again, PM5 and 6 have these conversations. I realize I may have been a bit nice about it since it was frustrating to see her pumping out personal and friend art constantly with commissions few and far between, especially when at one point I was 'second to last' in her queue. It was a $60 dollar commission and unfortunately I've changed banks so I don't have proof anymore. At this point I really don't care about getting the art or a refund, i'm just really let down that an artist I was really excited to finally commission has so much trouble communicating with her clients, I shouldn't have to be the one to try and force updates on a commission. I can understand life happens, but almost 5 years of waiting for something that I'm led to believe is almost done is just a bit much. 8. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/979026.html WHO: GreyScarborough, Grey-Scarborough, Grey_Scarborough WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/greyscarborough/ https://grey-scarborough.sofurry.com/ https://grey-scarborough.sofurry.com/ https://www.weasyl.com/~greyscarborough WHAT: NSFW Digital Flat Color Commission, for 25$ WHEN: Jul 19th: First contact Jul 20th: Commission details explained and paid Aug 18th: First time asking about the state of the commission (It was said to be completed within 2 weeks, instead 4 weeks have passed) (Artist responded). Sep 15th: Second time asking about the state of the commission (Artist did not respond). Sep 23rd: Asking for their response (Artist responded). Nov 3rd: Third time asking about the state of the commission (Artist did not respond). Nov 16th: Forth time asking about the state of the commission (Artist did respond, saying he "will dig it up today"). Nov 24th: Fifth time asking about the state of the commission and first time seeing a sketch. The sketch was not what I asked for, artist knew about it. Nov 25th: I complain about his inability to work with me properly and demand him to finally start working with me constuctively, or to refund me by the 10th of December. Nov 26th: His reponse: "Ok we'll eat shit and take a refund on the 10th you pompous fuck." He just kept insulting me, while I tried to work constructively with him. Nov 27th: He finally explains himself, yet keeps being insulting and blocks me. No further contact from then on. Dec 11th: Yesterday was the last day I demanded him to refund me. It didn't happen. Money is officially stolen by this date. EXPLAIN: On the 19th of July I decided to commission Grey_Scarborough for an adult piece of art. He was quick to respond, we exchanged details about the commission and I paid him the next day. He claimed it would take him 2 weeks to finish the piece. I am "free to request a WIP whenever" and contact him at any of his messengers. Sounds good to me. I didn't hear anything of him for 4 weeks, so I sent him a note on the 18th of August, asking if he forgot about me. Again, he was quick to respond, told me he was busy moving, admitted he was behind schedule. No problem to me. I responded with some kind of smalltalk, to which I didn't receive a response. Also, not a problem at all. September the 15th, another 4 weeks have passed. I'm asking for updates. Telling him I'm not intending to rush, telling him to take his time. Though I was giving an emphasis on the fact that 9 weeks have already passed. I asked about his queue, where I am placed at. I didn't receive a response. One week later I sent him another note, asking if he is going to answer me eventually. Slowly losing my patience. He responded the day after, saying he thought he responded to me already. He told me he "hit a pretty bad road bump, but we should be pretty square now." I should "keep an eye out", he'll "bump me an update soon". I responded ecstatically, telling him not to rush it. But I wished we would have a more active base of communication. Told him about a story of a previous bad experience with another artist (though resolved). He didn't respond to this. November the 3rd, another 6 weeks later, I ask him if he could start anytime soon. I didn't receive a response. I noticed he uploaded another artworks and YCHs especially. Apparently, he needed to make more money, while he couldn't finish anything else of his queue. November the 16th, another 2 weeks later, I told him he didn't respond to my note, and asked about the status of my commission. He responded the same day, saying he'll "dig it up today" and send me the "current version" of it. November the 24th, another week later, I asked about his progress. He responded the same day, saying he "found the work" (!?) and he "had done the dang pose wrong", telling me he was sorry about that. He included a link to a sketch, which didn't represent what I was asking for at all. I responded the next day, losing my patience, criticizing his work ethic, yet staying constructive and not being insulting (Even though I admitted, that "I am pissed right now"). I was in disbelief that it took him 4 months to work on my commission, while not even doing what I paid for. I told him about the times he didn't care to respond to me, how I expected him to come forward to me, instead of me having to poke and ask every few weeks, how I paid for this commission alredy, how he makes me belief he might have stolen my money. I questioned him about the other artworks and YCHs he kept posting, while he apparently could not bother to work on my commission. I told him his work ethic was insulting to me. I also told him that I'm sad it went this way. I had hoped it would've been better for us. "I sincerly hope you do understand." I made some demands to have him work with me more proactively and constructively. I gave him my contact data for Discord and Steam. I promised him to work professionally as possible with him. I would focus on the progress of the commission and I wouldn't complain to him about his work ethic any further, if he agreed. I told him the picture has to be finished within the next 2 weeks, as he originally promised, or I'll demand a refund. Which was due yesterday, which I didn't receive. His response was, I quote: "Ok we'll eat shit and take a refund on the 10th you pompous fuck." I was shocked at his response, to say the least. Yet I didn't respond back in any insulting manner. Again, I showed him how the situation was and how he tore my patience apart with that last piece. I criticized his work ethic again and told him I was appalled in which insulting manner he responed to me, a customer. His response: "No. Fuck you. I really don't care about you, or your views, or suffering to be polite to you. You do t deserve it. Fuck you." This only became more childish the more we went on. I told him he was taking my critique way too personal. Yet again, I criticized him. Especially pointing out, how he claims to be "overly social" with his customers and how he is "always seeking to improve", as it's stated on his profile page. I reinforced my previous statement, saying I never attacked him in person. I asked him to keep his dignity. I told him he can refund me at anytime, 10th of December being the deadline. He, again, responded with a lot of vulgarity. Later notes went a bit back and forth, so I won't explain the exact details of them here, yet I will post it in the screenshots below. It's interesting nontheless. - I warned him about carrying this issue towards artist beware, to which he said he didn't give a fuck, he would refund me eventually. He was still very abusive in his choice of words. - He claimed what he did could be done in a "quick edit", yet comparing the sketch to my instructions, it's obvious that it needs a complete redo. I wouldn't have complained if it was just a small error. - Admittedly, I lost a bit of my temper in between, though I didn't attack him personally. - He called me a liar and claimed he did respond to every single one of my notes. He prompted me to read his TOS (explained in the paragraph below). - I proofed him wrong and criticized his TOS. To which he "dares" me to make the Artist Beware post. - I asked him what his deal is. - He told me his personal opinion of me. - I responded and criticized him again. I told him that IF I personally insulted him in any way, I am sorry. - He told me I am delusional. Something about "stead pay"!? - After the last note he send me, to which I tried to respond, he blocked me. I wasn't able to contact him any further. It came to my attention that he claims in his TOS that he "will cancel the commission with no refund if you're abusive." And I believe he makes use of his own rule here, despite me not attacking him in person once. Besides, TOS rule or not, stealing money is stealing money. You can't make it legal by writing up a rule of your own, saying it is legal. Well then, the next 2 weeks until yesterday, I waited for my refund. He didn't do it, so now we're here. The auction was won for $575, and the agreed-upon price after enhancements, modifications, and shipping was $905. Custom features were to include custom eye cuts for better vision, whiskers, and a silicone nose. When: The auction was won on February 14, 2017, and lists a completion time of 5 weeks after full payment is received. Full payment was made on February 17, 2017, after some initial communication difficulties. Delivery of the head was delayed repeatedly. On July 12, after a disagreement about what features were included in the increased price, Mitha offered a full refund, then asked for a legal agreement to be signed as a pre-requisite for the refund. On July 13, Mitha refused to honor that offer, and said that only a 50% refund would be available. On July 17, after I had requested several days to decide what to do (which was also over a weekend), Mitha stated that she would be giving me a 50% refund in 14 days whether I wanted it or not. At that point, I filed a credit card dispute, which was resolved in my favor in September. Explanation & Evidence: The commission got off to a rough start when Mitha didn’t get my emails, but that’s on me. Eventually we made contact via Twitter, which is where we would do all of our subsequent communication. I sent Mitha a long explanation, including a web page with references and desired features. Screenshot 1 Mitha agreed to this, saying that she could “do everything I wanted” on my reference page. Screenshot 2 The features added $280 to the price of the head, which made the total with shipping $905. Screenshot 3 Payment was made immediately via credit card on her website, http://www.mithacal.com. Screenshot 4 Some additional discussion about fur kinds and colors followed, since I wanted to try making a body suit for the head and wanted to coordinate on the fur we were using. At the end of the discussion, I mentioned her move, something that she had been talking about on Twitter. No mention was made of it impacting the deadline. Screenshot 5 One month later, I check in. No progress, and we talk about fur choices, but don’t exit the conversation with an unambiguous decision. Screenshot 6 Another month goes by with no communication. It’s now April 23rd, with no WIPs. I check in again. Apparently Mitha thought that she was still waiting on fur choices, and after getting the go-ahead to use whatever she wanted, says that she’ll finish up the mask and will have updates in a week. Screenshot 7 At the time, she also asks me what color eyes I want. LED eyes weren’t part of my request list, but I had thought they were just something standard she did. Her last message says she needs to wait for them, but had said just before that she’d report progress in a week. Screenshot 7_1 Another month goes by, and it’s now May 30th. I have not yet heard anything from Mitha without me prompting her. She says she’s still waiting on the eyes from DVC. Screenshot 8 Amazingly, the eyes come in the same day! Or so she says. She also now says it will be another few weeks before there’s any progress to see. Screenshot 9 Screenshot 10 June 13th, and I finally get a communication from her asking me to choose eye backgrounds, and to say that the head is still a couple of weeks away from completion. Screenshot 11 June 21st , and I message her again for a status update, and to let her know that I was going to be out of town from July 1 – 10. She indicates that she’ll have the head shipped so that it arrives around July 10th. Screenshot 12 Screenshot 13 July 11th, and I haven’t heard anything from her, so I ping her again. Apparently there’s been a delay due to her wedding and honeymoon, which she didn’t mention anything about. I congratulate her, and ask for some WIPs, especially of the tear duct modifications. This is where things start to go very wrong. Screenshot 14 Mitha claims she never agreed to the modifications. I ask where she said that, because the last message I got from her about it, before I paid, was that it wouldn’t be a problem. She says she sent something saying she wasn’t capable of that kind of modification, and offers a refund if that’s a problem. I ask again to just point me where she said that, and after 24 hours of no response, I’m pretty fed up with the whole deal and agree to the refund. Screenshot 15 Mitha goes off, but agrees to the full refund. Fine, I just want to be done with this; I’ve seen scant evidence that my commission was even being worked on (nothing other than the eye backgrounds), and we’re now 5 months into what was promised in 5 weeks. Screenshot 16 And now things get really weird. Mitha wants me to sign some kind of contract – I was guessing a non-disparagement agreement – as part of the refund. But, instead of sending me something to sign and review, she sends me a contract that she signed, between herself and her dog breeder, over some dispute that they had. Real names redacted below, but they weren't in what she sent me: Screenshot 17 One, sending me this unredacted was probably a violation of her agreement with her breeder. Two, it’s really odd to send somebody a legal agreement that isn’t actually ready to be signed, and is in fact between her and another party, with all of those details. Because I've had some experience with contracts and NDAs, I’m going to get a lawyer to look at any contract I’m being asked to sign. I’m not trying to be aggressive here, and in most business environments when you say you need a lawyer to look at a legal document, that’s a sign of being sane and prudent, not that you're making a legal threat. Screenshot 18 The whole thing has taken a turn for the strange, and I’m asking her for options. I feel she’s had a really poor record of communicating with me, so I’m trying to be proactive about communication and expectations. Asking for a mailing address for legal communications is pretty standard business practice, and signing a non-disparagement clause is a lot different than a regular commercial transaction. As a registered business in the state of Alaska, she has to have a publicly-available mailing address, and it can be found very easily online at the Alaska Chamber of Commerce website (https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/cbp/main), so I'm not sure why it would be a problem. Screenshot 19 And then Mitha changes her mind, says she won’t be giving me a full refund, that only a 50% refund is on the table, and accuses me of threatening legal action, apparently because I uttered the word ‘lawyer’, after she asked me to sign a legally-binding document. Screenshot 20 I want to take some time to think about this, because none of my options here are good: I can lose $450, or I can maybe get a head that doesn’t have the features that I wanted, from a maker that I no longer trust. Since this is already months late, I didn’t think a few extra days would be an issue, especially over a weekend. July 14 was a Friday, July 17 is a Monday. Mitha feels differently, and by Monday evening is saying that she will give me a 50% refund whether I like it or not. Screenshot 21 I’m still not clear on what’s going on – do I still have to sign a document of some kind, even for the 50% refund? I’m not sure, and I don’t want to make a decision until we can hash this out. Mitha doesn’t want to wait though, and just after midnight on Monday she decides she’s going to keep half the money and not send me anything, no matter what I want. After 5 months of me waiting for her, she’s definitely not going to wait for me. Screenshot 22 To me, and to the lawyer that I had review all of this, this is a breach of contract on her part. What she’s saying here, as evidenced by all the previous tweets, is mostly false. She offered the refund first, I just took her up on it. She asked me to sign a legal document, I just wanted to do it safely by having a lawyer look at the contract. At this point, I’m pretty upset. Screenshot 23 Screenshot 24 After her message on July 18th, and blocking me on Twitter, I filed a dispute with the credit card company to get my money back. I’d received nothing, no WIPs beyond the eye backdrop photos, no proof of work done, and no product, and was only going to get half of a refund after waiting 5 months for something that Mitha agreed to do but later decided she couldn't, or wouldn't. Finally, on July 30th, Mitha unblocked me long enough to tell me that she was going to sue me in small claims court. To date, Mitha hasn’t served me with anything for a lawsuit, and the credit card company finalized the chargeback in September, so I have 100% of my money back. As things go, this could have been worse, but I think Mitha is somebody to avoid doing business with.
  10. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/977213.html I am willing to have a Civil discussion with this Artist and hope we can reach a solution that we are both happy with. Who: Mithacal Creatures Where: www.mithacal.com Twitter:@mithacal What:Fursuit head, Refund. When: May 24th- Present Proof: Mithacal Creatures Beware https://imgur.com/gallery/ukVAP Explain: On May 24th Mithical and I agreed to a trade: I would shop for clothes for her, and in return for my time I would recieve a Custom Half Mask. (See Screen Shot 1) https://i.imgur.com/q2jv2hg.jpg During my part of the trade I inquired about upgrading to a full mask. She told me $200 worth of clothes since she does not need the money right now. (See screen shot 2) https://i.imgur.com/q2jv2hg.jpg My part of trade took roughly 2 weeks; she recieved her box of goodies and loved them. (See Screen shot 3) https://i.imgur.com/q2jv2hg.jpg For Mitha's part of the trade, she told me the completion time would be 1 month for the half mask. I agreed, and she added another 2 months for a full mask. I agreed to this as well. (see Screenshot one and 6) https://i.imgur.com/q2jv2hg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mr5jBE5.jpg July: I discussed with Mitha on what my mask design would be. Previously, we agreed on a red fox with Antlers. I gave her the concept design. It was verbally agreed that my mask would have some artistic liberty. Those conversations happened in person during a camping trip we had in Homer. (Enter Screen shot here 4) https://i.imgur.com/mr5jBE5.jpg August 3rd-16th: I started to get worried and asked her for an update, or at least a start date for my mask, and never got an answer. (See Screen Shot 5) https://i.imgur.com/mr5jBE5.jpg Late August: I see on Twitter and instagram that she is open for commissions. Being curious and wanting some sort of response from her I asked on her instagram what her turnaround time is. She responded "your mask would be done before these peoples if thats what you are really asking" (See Screen shot 7) https://i.imgur.com/4dlNEYN.jpg I continued sending her messages asking about the start point of my mask as well as asking if I can get some reassurance from her if I was bothering her, and if she does have a start point in mind for my mask. Not once did I ask her "where is my mask". Each message was a couple of weeks apart. I just needed assurance that I hadn't been forgotten. September hits a couple weeks before Senshi con happens. Senshi con was the con we planned on attending with the mask, and the end time Mitha had told me I would have my mask. I start asking about the fur again wanting to match fur. I still have not received a single response from her. When I finally did, it was her sending me her address because I asked for it so I can send a piece of sample fur to her. She got the sample and told me it was wrong. I asked if she can send a picture of the right fur, but received no response. (Screen shot 😎 https://i.imgur.com/4dlNEYN.jpg Then on september 4th she says she is giving me a refund of the $200 extra I spent on her, due to her wanting to close her buisness. (Screen shot 9) https://i.imgur.com/4dlNEYN.jpg I asked for clarification, wondering if we can work something out, and if she will be compensating me for my time I spent shopping for her rather then spending that valuable time elsewhere. I also offered to take a premade artistic liberty head instead, trying to work something out with her. (Screen Shot 9) https://i.imgur.com/4dlNEYN.jpg I don't get I response from her until I post on one of her Facebook posts agreeing with her that being ignored sucks. (Screen Shot 10) https://i.imgur.com/WehJCAs.jpg She takes offense, telling me she doesn't do buisness stuff when she is away with family, then demands that I give her my mailing address so she can send a check since she no longer does Paypal. (Screen shot 11) https://i.imgur.com/WehJCAs.jpg I comply, and ask yet again for my compensation, as well as explaining that I was upset becuase I had asked for clarification about the refund the very same day she told me I was getting one. (Screen shot 11) https://i.imgur.com/WehJCAs.jpg She gets angry and demands my address again saying she has asked 3 times now. (Screen shot 11) https://i.imgur.com/WehJCAs.jpg Ignoring the fact I have already given it to her, I give it to her again and state that I had already done so. I pointed that fact out. Her response was to request when I write a beware that I don't add her actual number. At the time I told her I don't write bewares. (Screen shot 12 and screen shot 17) https://i.imgur.com/WehJCAs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MkKptPy.jpg I ask on the September 11th, and again on the 25th, about my refund. No answer to either. September 26th she sends me a message stating she is waiting to recoup the money. Screen shot 13 https://i.imgur.com/bju69X6.jpg October 6th: I ask for her plan of action. Still no refund. October 8th: she sends me a message stating she still doesn't have money plus she accuses me of posting snide comments on her Instagram. My snide remarks consisted of the word interesting and that is it. She tells me it takes time to close a buisness. (Screen shot 14) https://i.imgur.com/bju69X6.jpg I ask for a time frame for my refund. At first she ignores me and says that the reason for my refund is because of how I talk to her. My response. (Screen shot 15) https://i.imgur.com/bju69X6.jpg October 31st: I tell Mitha I need the refund by November 15th, and that waiting 3 months for a refund is unacceptable. No response, but the message is marked as read. (Screen shot 16) https://i.imgur.com/Ua10fx6.jpg November 8th: I get told that my check will be sent shortly and that she will be free to talk to me when business slows down. (Screen shot 16) https://i.imgur.com/Ua10fx6.jpg Thats the last I have heard from her. Edit: I am in contact with the Artist and we are working on a resolution. I will update again when I have more information.

WHAT: Two pre-made adoptables. Requested refund as "item was not as described." WHEN: First pre-made design purchased January 2017. Second purchased August 2017. Refunds on both requested November 2017. EXPLAIN: January 13th of 2017, SaltedDriftwood purchased a pre-made adoptable. They paid, I sent them the file. August 22nd of 2017, they purchased another. They paid, I sent them the file. This involves personal issues which do not relate to the transactions, but lead up to the paypal claims. SaltedDriftwood and one of my friends followed each other on twitter. My friend grew uncomfortable with them because of their own personal issues, and silently softblocked and unfollowed them. When SaltedDriftwood noticed, they messaged me, asking me why. I was not comfortable being put in that position, and declined telling them. They then liked a reply I had made to my friend, which upset him, on top of knowing SaltedDriftwood had tried to contact him through me, an unrelated party. I told them this upset both of us, and the reasons my friend wanted space between them. An argument broke out, SD removed me from discord, and I assumed that was the end of that. Today, I received notices from Paypal that SD wants refunds on the pre-made designs from August and January, citing that the "Items are not as described." I had missed a DM from them on Saturday, Nov 25th (I received the refund request Monday, Nov 27th)-- I do not conduct business on twitter, so I don't have a tab dedicated to my DMs on Tweetdeck, and didn't see the message. It was also filled with responses to the personal issues from the conversation on Discord. They are asking for a refund on items they received in January and August because of the personal disagreements, despite the fact the items were pre-made and they knew full well what they looked like before they bought them. At the time of writing I have responded to the claim offering a full refund provided they do not keep the design. I am waiting to hear back on that. They requested a partial refund on the design they bought from me in January. I told them I would give them a full refund on the condition they do not keep the adoptable, or no refund and let them keep the adoptable. I am waiting to hear back on this as well. I am aware I could refuse the refunds, but I do not feel it's worth it to prove the receipt of digital goods to Paypal, and would rather this be done with. As a note, I do allow for my designs to be traded and resold, and I do not need to be notified of any transfer. PROOF: https://sta.sh/2stt9cjsjhk?edit=1 Initially I thought I was unable to offer a refund on the condition of the item being returned, which was why I had asked them to de-escalate the claim-- I thought I was only able to offer a refund and let them keep the item, which I did not want them to do. I realised I was misreading the error Paypal was giving me, and responded with the Refund+Return offer. EDIT 11/29/17: They have dropped the claim on the design from January and approved my refund offer. However, I have no way of marking that they are returning the item from August, and I am now blocked from any contact with them, so I have no idea how to move the claim forward from here. I assume the ball is in their court to prove the item is returned? Which I'm not sure how to do, given that it's a digital item. Proof of attempt to clear up refund / of being blocked Proof of claim status I'm completely unclear on whether or not they still want the refund or how to proceed at all. EDIT 11/29/17 #2: A friend of theirs got into contact with me. SaltedDriftwood is now refunded in full.

Paid in cash. It was like $15 or something of that sort. In person, she had told me she would have it done at con, which was part of why I had commissioned her (I have issues with the post so it’s easier that way.) She was very polite and had me send her my references on Telegram. The next day (June 4th) I came to her table sometime and she told me she hadn’t been able to work on it yet. I told her I understood since I’ve been a dealer many times before and got that things can pile up and you’re busy speaking with people all day. She said she would try to have it done by the end of the day. I told her I could be in den after hours and such on telegram, attempting to be accommodating for her. I stopped by a final time at the end of the day and she had no progress. She told me she would have it done within in a couple weeks after the con and ship it out right after. Note: Everything past this point is recorded and posted in the proof section, I am merely giving my side on things in summary here now. You may skip this and go to the proof section to read everything yourself there. June 10th. She asked me for my address. I assumed that meant she was getting to it soon and it’d be sent out soon as well. (Proof here.) Over a month passed, so I checked in on things. (July 25th) She replied days later, suddenly with the finished product, then offering to color it for free. I know sometimes artists will offer extra work to make up for things when they know they messed up on service somehow and I wanted her to have that chance to either a) feel like she was making things right, or b) enjoy the art more if that was the only actual reason. I was very clear I have worries about the post and needed communication to make sure that I didn’t miss the piece in the mail. She said she’d let me know, and even promised it would have tracking. (Proof here.) I contact her again. It’s now September 9th. No response. (Proof here.) September 17th she suddenly produces the colored image and explains her laptop issues and that she’d have things sorted next week. I complimented the artwork, thanked her, had small chitchat. She asked for my address again so she could send it after scanning it. (Proof here.) Another month passes. I’ve heard nothing. The post had just damaged an expensive item so I was extremely worried at this point. I contacted her with my concerns offering to pay tracking and all that stuff. I had forgotten she had promised this to me. This was on October 20th. I received no response. (Proof here.) In my worries, I had to go find her other contacts as I had only been given her telegram. I rarely check FA, but find her FA via a shout on my page with the link to the scanned upload. Went to find her other information. Saw on her twitters she had been making fursuits while ignoring me, which was very disheartening. My anxiety levels peaked, so I had to breathe and wait on things. After being ignored for over a month now, I’d resolved to put my foot down about things. This was on November 10th. (Proof here.) I was extremely firm now, because I knew this was unacceptable behavior and something had to be said. November 11th. She happens to suddenly be able to reply in a timely manner, mere hours after my message, and is just rude and unprofessional. I responded, calling her out on her poor behavior and business ethics. (Proof here.) On November 15th, she sends me an image of a standard envelope that the artwork is in. She states that it’s out of her hands, throws a “have a nice life” and states if I respond she likely won’t even read it. There is no tracking, as she promised originally, and as I requested multiple times. She makes it clear she has no concern if it gets to me unscathed, or at all. (Proof here.) I responded back to notify her I would be setting up a warning about her due to her final nasty message, informing her I was blocking her, and was no longer concerned about the art. I honestly doubt I’ll see it. (Proof here.) I set up a small Twitter beware post, because I did not feel a full A_B posting was worth it at the time. Sure, she was unpleasant and rude, but not enough to push me into this ordeal. I’ve had to write A_B posts before and it’s stressing. I don’t like it. Most people never say anything, but I know these are important and it’s important to call people out on their poor ethics. Then I changed my mind when I was alerted to some tweets she made about the situation, which you can read below. (I was shown these by people who went to pre-block her to avoid business with her.) Two months pass by and I decide to send them a note asking about an update on my art which I sent on May 23rd. I normally don't try and bug artists too much when it comes to commissions but I figured it would be alright to ask since some time had passed. The note in question: https://i.imgur.com/iNnzPhR.png and https://i.imgur.com/q3kkCuC.png They replied to me a day later with this: https://i.imgur.com/4395WBc.png in the note they stated that I would see my art within the week which I was super excited about. I thanked them for responding and then I left them alone after that. By the time I realize it, three more months have passed by. I send them another note around July 5th asking for another update. https://i.imgur.com/KvdPWA4.png Currently as of now, the note has still not been read. By now I'm already starting to get concerned and worried about the lack of responses. I sent them one last and final note asking for an update: https://i.imgur.com/JufRJCI.png which was on Sept 12 which has not been read either. I kind of effed myself over, which I know is my own fault. There is no way I can do a chargeback or get my money back at this point since I waited too long to do so. I decided to leave them a shout on their fa in the hopes that they would see it if they ever got on their fa. https://i.imgur.com/dbkH3TI.png At this point, I'm unsure of what else to do on how to resolve this. They have no other social media that I know of besides Tumblr which I found out to be just as inactive as their furaffinity account. I tried sending an email through their PP email but got no response back. Other than that, I would highly advise against commissioning this artist. Any help would be appreciated! I also apologize if there are any mistakes here or the format looks awkward. I've never posted to AB before and it's my first time. I just hope I'm doing this right. 15. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/974901.html Where: Furaffinity.net/user/sharpe19 What: Premade head, to be upgraded with a matching tail. When: September 2016 Explain: Sharpe was taking offers on this premade suit nicknamed at the time Alchemy https://imgur.com/fdz80W1. Sharpe did make it known that a new hood (neck/ears) would be made for the winner which I thought was too cool to pass up. I sent them an email private offer of 1800 with the request of a payment plan on 9/19/2016 https://imgur.com/6n2vueu.This was the highest bid at that time, and the payment plan was welcomed! I also inquired about a design (this is prior to being the “chosen” buyer) which Sharpe seemed intrigued by. She asked if a deposit of 800 would be doable https://imgur.com/BCS4ls6 and that my offer is very interesting to her. At this time, I also asked if at this or a future time she would be willing to make me a tail and maybe hands/feet as well for extra funds of course. She agreed to a tail and to possibly add crystals as well! By this time, I was notified that I WAS the buyer (I’m not sure where that message is... I literally don’t have an email or a FA note so weird) and asked for her Paypal to send the first part of my deposit https://imgur.com/ryQN3in. By now I had made my first deposit payment of 600 and was going to get the remainder the following day. I was waiting on Paypal to clear funds of a sale of mine to finish my deposit to Sharpe https://imgur.com/DyhGIzK and was able to put the remaining 200 down on September 30th Some time passed (about a month) and I had sent another 750 to Sharpe while awaiting my first check from my new job https://imgur.com/HlCaOS3. NOW all was going extremely smoothly Sharpe was very quick to respond and lovely to work with. I had 0 issues with communication. I’m going to switch from email to FA notes as I was assuming photos would be uploaded to FA instead of sent via EMAIL (what my previous makers have done in the past). I let a few months go past, I was off FA for a small break, but decided to send a poke her way to see where we were at with the commission https://imgur.com/Qy5NYzz. Now this is about 6 months after the payments were made. I know sometimes life gets busy and I am VERY flexible when people are up front to me with what’s going on… but this response was honestly a little awkward for me https://imgur.com/opSPYdv it appeared she literally had no idea who I was. NOW that being said our primary form of communication was through email, and I’m not sure how others work but for me I document peoples Emails/FA/DA/FB whatever methods of communication I can just so I can keep in touch. But I brushed it off as just simple confusion as to who I was! It happens. https://imgur.com/r0J7p5B this is just me clearing up which commission I was and getting a few verbal updates. Sounds like the Hood didn’t turn out as well and needed to be redone-reworked before progressing. Sure no problem! Quality over speed in my opinion! https://imgur.com/DaoaH0p first talk of getting some updates. They never came but that’s ok life gets busy I suppose. Now were onto June of 2017 where I again asked if we had any updates https://imgur.com/1SGuIdv to which I was responded with a note that seemed promising and that work was almost complete (unless I’m reading into it wrong, to me it sounded like all it needed was airbrushing) https://imgur.com/JYUUm4S. This got me quite excited so I decided to let her work and try back later if she didn’t get back to me first. Well now were pushing the “Almost a year” mark and I am honestly starting to get antsy as I had conventions I was planning to wear this to and really didn’t expect it to take a full year to complete a hood replacement and a tail. https://imgur.com/mix1MqY I was a little confused by the response as I thought we were almost done with things and apparently it was just a first test run? Of the fur? https://imgur.com/1BtiaAr and at this point I had given up mentally that this project would get done. Sharpe was spending (I follow her on twitter) most of her time working on personal costumes/cosplays/projects and I felt like I was completely tossed on the backburner. This is when I asked a SECOND time (because she either ignored or didn’t read) for an estimated time of completion https://imgur.com/CisL4Jc.She said it would be Most likely August, but for sure before Halloween. Finally, a date set I can stop pestering her! https://imgur.com/Z5F4JO9 Well were officially at/past the one-year mark, august came and went and so I inquired one more time to be sure were on track for Halloween https://imgur.com/tyrNaxi to which they assured me we are https://imgur.com/HH4PmBV.To me, and please let me know if I’m wrong, I was under the assumption my suit would be IN HAND by Halloween when I asked if we were on track… Is that wrong of me to assume? Completed Payments https://imgur.com/AnCPEK6 So the original plan was 1800 but I did not complete my final payment of 250 dollars. I was holding on to it until the product had either photo proof, or completion proof or SOMETHING because I have been burned MORE than a handful of times. Well Halloween is tomorrow. I have 0 progress photos, proof of work, I literally have only her word. She messaged me asking for my address, however when I did ask for photos I was met with a really odd response of “Depending on how late you’re awake” https://imgur.com/wXg9Yilwhat?? What difference does it matter how late it is... why is it SO hard for Sharpe to provide me ANY proof of work?? At this point I just hope I can get my refund as I have ZERO desire for this character anymore. I’m not sure if it’s just my expectations or what but a year of waiting with no progress updates proof or anything really left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m a very patient person but I really feel like my commission was not taken seriously or professionally in the form of timelines/completion. It just seems like my commission didn’t/doesn’t matter and that I was only a quick paycheck for someone to use. As of 10/29/2017 I was relayed it would be shipping out "this weekend" (the weekend before halloween) however it was not, and I still have 0 photographic proof of ANY work. Sharpe is a really nice gal, super communicative and will respond very quickly. I just think her time management is lacking. Personal and new projects took priority over my paid commission. I just hope I can get my refund promptly. Beware is only warranted for lack of time management and prioritizing issues. She makes great work, and she’s very communicative. I missed out on every event I wanted to wear this piece to and actually ordered a new costume in the meantime as backup for Halloween as I had a feeling it again, wouldn’t be completed on time. I hope Sharpe steps up her game on her time management and prioritizing pieces. Update 11/8/2017: At this time Sharpe and I have agreed on a full refund, she will be selling the suit (this is the current listing link https://www.thedealersden.com/listing/alchemy/129915) and the profits will be coming to me. Im glad we could come to an agreement. I will update as soon as refund payments are made. Update: 11/16/2017: I have received the first payment of 450 dollars, with an agreement on a payment plan that will total just over 1300 dollars in a matter of 5 weeks. I am currently at work, and unable to get a screenshot but I will update this post promptly.

They never kept us updated and ignored our messages, all while actively posting on their tumblr. ---- July 1-5 : A friend and I decided we'd commission shacklefunk back in July 1st after noticing them opening slots for sketch commissions. So we sent them a form and our commission was confirmed along with the $50 payment on July 5th. (proof) July 24 : A couple weeks past, and we decided to email them just to ask for the status of our commission. No response. (proof) We just go with the benefit of the doubt and assume that they'll finish the commission on their own time, so we just waited. August 8 : A month passes and we try and shoot them a private message on tumblr since they were actively posting unrelated art there. We ask for the status of our commission and our message was ignored.(proof) October 4 : It got to the point of 3 months. We still hadn't received our commission, all while watching Shade remain active on tumblr. So we send another email requesting for the status of our commission. Our email was ignored again. They still actively posted unrelated art on their tumblr. (proof) (proof of activity, taken from shade's tumblr archive) October 16: We ran out of patience and decided to send Shade a request for a refund through their tumblr asks. They never responded. Ignored our message again. (proof) October 24 : We decide to send them a refund request via email. No response. At this point, we were anxious about the chance that we wouldn't receive our product or our money back so my friend makes a post on tumblr, tagging shacklefunk, requesting them to check their commission emails. Our post was either missed or ignored. (proof) October 27 : Shade posts a text post asking for their followers to give them drawing requests. I was running thin on patience so I decided to reblog that post requesting them to check their emails, since I thought it was ridiculous they were willing to draw request images but not willing to draw our already-paid commission / respond to any of our messages. And they deleted the post shortly after I reblogged it, meaning they probably saw the message. Yet no reponse that day either. (proof) October 28 : They finally send us a refund via google wallet, despite not replying back to any of our messages. Provided no explanation or apology. (proof) Tired of ads? WHEN: I paid on 11/30/2016 and A WIP was posted on instagram on 2/13/2017. I received the finished piece and contacted them on furaffinity about changes on 3/27/2017. I contacted them again on twitter on 3/31/2017, this was the last time they communicated with me. I tried contacting them again several months later on 8/17/2017 and 8/22/2017 with no response. EXPLAIN: I commissioned alienpaw back in 11/30/2016 for a favorite food badge of my fursona. They quickly responded to my inquiry and sent me a note requesting info required for the badge and their Paypal address. I paid the same day I received the note (https://sta.sh/01ulggzyispv). A couple months went by with no updates on their Trello. I understand how long art can take so I didn't mind at all. At this point I also began following their Instagram account because I had seen that they would upload WIP pictures. On 2/13/2017, they posted a WIP on their Instagram (https://sta.sh/01nps8rvvq0h). I thought the WIP looked great and I was excited to see it finished. One thing that I didn't understand then though (and that I don't really understand now), is that they stated in their T.O.S. that they don't send out WIPs (https://sta.sh/0nfnlhie2l0). I don't really understand why you would publicly upload a WIP but not send it to the commissioner. I tend to be non-confrontational and everything was looking great so far, so I didn't say anything. Another month or so passes, and on 3/27/2017, I received the finished piece (https://sta.sh/01bs8m6agxn6). I was very upset with the finished picture because I had imagined it would look like the WIP, but for some reason they completely redrew it. I don't think I would've had too much of a issue with that if they hadn't left out my fursona's hair. I commented on the submission on Furaffinity on the same day thanking them for the commission and asking if they could possibly add my fursona's hair (https://sta.sh/06xfn20ulfr). They never responded to my comment, so I DM'd them on Twitter on 3/31/2017. They responded to me this time around (https://sta.sh/01mqqfp02kf6). They stated that they would see if they could find the time to add the hair because they had school and other commissions to work on. This was understandable to me. But what made me upset was them trying to blame me for causing them to not draw the hair because I never specified for them to draw it and there being a small part on the reference sheet without it (https://sta.sh/0lvfro2do56). It honestly confused me because the original WIP they posted had hair... I tried not to let it bother me, and told them that that section was there for markings (https://sta.sh/01lnzvpkiw9m). This was the last time they communicated with me. I waited months with absolutely no updates while they took more commissions and opened a online shop. I got fed up as the end of the summer approached, as it had been months with no communication, so I DM'd them again on 8/17 and 8/22 (https://sta.sh/07s53x2ba53) which got no response either times. PROOF: https://sta.sh/2wsjchuxvne?edit=1 Update #1: I sent them another DM on twitter making them aware of the beware. They responded back to me and then offered to completely redraw the badge and send me WIPs along the way. I'm very grateful that they offered this, because I know some artists wouldn't do that! I accepted, and received a WIP of the lineart. Now all that's left is to wait for the finished piece and this will all be resolved c:! Alienpaw also replied to this post clearing up some more things (https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/973731.html?thread=33299619#t33299619)! DMs can be read here (https://sta.sh/212x1ecghbnf?edit=1). Update #2: I received the finished piece on 11/9/17! This has been resolved :)!

Since all of this she has bought quite a bit of house items, a large 3-d printer, and a large 22hd cintiq drawing tablet for herself within the past two months so I do not understand why I have not received my refund from her. She is using both the 3-d printer and the tablet to take on many commissions and pre-orders and has been very active online in doing so. To be resolved. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EXPLAIN: Back then I was really happy so snag a slot, they posted pretty regularly on FA and I wasn't too worried about the long waitlist they had (sadly they deleted the Journal with the old list before I was able to get a screencap). I am a very patient commissioner and have waited up to 3 years for a commission to be finished so I did not contact them for a few years after the initial payment was sent via Paypal. Sadly I don't have a screenshot of said payment since I didn't think I'd need one. They never once contacted me about my commission and suddenly disappeared from FA, leaving a giant list of waiting commissioners behind. I knew no other way to contact them, so I waited and gave them the benefit of the doubt. At some point they returned, saying they were sorry and they would pick up the outstanding commissions but then they disappeared again. They had at least 2 people trying to manage their commissions as kind of a 'secretary' so far as far as I know but this also did not work out. 2 years ago they returned to FA again, asking for commissioners to contact them, so I did - here is the note I sent and their reply . I was hoping they'd work through their old list then but as far as I know not much progress has been made. They were inactive again for some time after that. In March this year I sent a mail to the mail address they left on their Journal, asking for a refund (I assumed it had been 4 years when it had been 6 to 7 years of a wait already). I never got a reply. They took (and keep taking) new commissions via Twitter and at cons, some of which have been completed and some that seem to have been added to their list. I've seen AB posts of their more recent commissions. They also do a lot of adopts and by now I don't think I'll ever see my money again. I don't recommend commissioning this artist. I sent a note on August 19 2016 asking for a refund (https://puu.sh/xEbzA/4da6977871.png). I did not receive a response to this note so I sent a follow up note on September 22 2016 (https://puu.sh/xEbD6/013fc01f4e.png). I sent them a message via DM that I was interested, paid $15, sent my ref sheet and what emotion I wanted, and an hour or two later I received a photo of the finished keychain. I thanked them for it, and went on my merry way. 2 months later on May 27th, I realized I had never sent them my address. I was instructed to not include my address in my paypal payment (like normal), but was never asked for it after proof of payment was sent. That 2 month gap was partially my fault because I got incredibly busy with school, but you’d think they would’ve messaged me for it when they planned to ship it? I sent them a message apologizing for my mistake and awaited a response to get my keychain shipped out. I was left of ‘read’ and got zero response. I let roughly a month and a half go by before messaging them again on July 13th, that message was completely ignored and never opened. I was getting irritated and fed-up with the lack of communication, and on July 21st sent them a message INCLUDING my shipping address. Zero response again… On August 14th, I messaged them on my side-twitter and got a response. They said we would discuss the dilemma the following day since they were going to bed, and guess what? I got nothing. My most recent message was sent to them on August 24th and I was left on ‘read’ yet again. Their poor communication is getting on my nerves and I just want my keychain. I’m hoping they see this beware, get themselves back into gear, and maybe this can be marked as resolved sometime soon. Once again, they gave me the same answer that they are "trying to resolve all issues they've had in the past and make things better", but it's very clear they have no intention to fix things. They have since started going under a new alias, PuppyOfPeace, to try and avoid responsibility. I wanted to update my beware with this new information, and will continue to try and update this as I keep messaging them about my keychain. Message from 3/26/2018: https://imgur.com/a/QBK7vNW

Images are numbered chronologically: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ovug6pf0uk2qr9k/AADhA-e5XgZqfCOnF8NbSX8Qa?dl=0 Proof of payment: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pihp63yjo0g4a2o/Screenshot Paypal transaction.png?dl=0 My communication with Vani: I contacted Vani on February 14th 2016 according a sketch commission after they made a Twitter post announcing 5 open commission slots (screenshot 1) . We agreed upon a digital bust commission which I paid $46 for. I accidentally sent them payment in wrong currency at first (AUD) but they refunded me immediately so I could re-send them the correct amount. On February 21st, Vani confirmed that the payment was received (screenshot 2-4). On March 30th 2016 I contacted them again asking if there was any problems with my commission and they told me they would be working on commissions again the following week (screenshot 5) On August 5th 2016 I asked if there were any updates on my commission and their excuse was a sudden relocation to Florida. Again they stated that the first thing they would get to was their remaining commissions. (screenshot 6) On March 17th 2017 I asked for a refund. They promised to refund for my commission, but never did (screenshot 7) On July 24th they uploaded a commission to their Furaffinity page, mentioning that this was their last colored bust commission from last year's batch. I commented on this submission asking what happened to mine and they quickly responded to this, explaining that they would complete my commission soon. This proved to me that they did not have a structured commission queue at all, since I as many others seemed to have been completely forgotten (screenshot 8-9) Vani gets a secratary: On May 24th Vani posted a journal on Furaffnity stating that they had gotten a secretary who would help them organize their commission queue, reach out to waiting commissioners and update with a new journal before June 15th. This is the last journal Vani has posted up until today(16/08/2017) and I never received a message from this secretary. Yet again I was left in the dark and according to the comment section, I did not seem to be the only one. Link to journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8241229/ Screenshot of journal: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yshphpggrhxw605/Screenshot secretary journal.png?dl=0 I honestly have no faith that I will ever receive this commission or get a refund. Even if I do, I would not recommend commissioning this artist. They always responded to my messages, but their response was repetitive empty promises. Thank you for helping me correct any spelling/grammar mistakes! EDIT 11/03/2017 In short: Vani refunds me after I Tweet about them (without publicly mentioning their name) about their bad work ethic. Full story: Today I received a Twitter DM from a person who claimed to be Vani's manager. They informed me that Vani was about to refund me for the commission, and honestly I was kind of baffled, I knew that I wasn't on the refund list, and I asked for a refund back in March 2016. I'm censoring their name, but here's the DMs: https://puu.sh/ye2jn/327db3b95d.png I did receive the refund from Vani in form of a gift transaction, and Vani wrote this in the transaction description: https://puu.sh/ye2nK/5f3b8a605d.png. I decided that it's only fair from me to remove these Tweets as the situation as has been resolved, but here is a screenshot of them anyway: (includes cussing) https://puu.sh/ye272/bbfa597c41.png. The deadline commissions I was referring to was two reference auction commissions Vani was holding on Furaffinity, one in which has a deadline for October and one for November. Side note: Vani said that I paid $46 for this commission, which is false. They asked for $46 for this commission, but I paid $50. Not very important, but I would like to include it anyway. Anyway, even though I am pleased that I finally got my refund (that I was promised in March mind you), I am very disappointed to see that showing displeasure in form of some salty Tweets was the only way to resolve this issue.
  23. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/964292.html WHO: Soy-una-puta WHERE: http://soy-una-puta.deviantart.com ORIGINAL POST: http://soy-una-puta.deviantart.com/art/YCH-couple-unlimited-slots-OPEN-639057637 WHAT: Digital Couple WHEN: October 10, 2016 to Dec 7, 2016 to June 20, 2017 to Current EXPLAIN: I commissioned this artist back in October for a YCH couple, to which things started out a little rough because English is their second language, which was fine. We were able to come to an understanding and an agreement of what I wanted done, and they sent me their PayPal email and I sent payment. ( Screenshot 1) (My username on Deviantart is Nigou.) I hadn’t heard anything from them so in December I asked for an update to which they told me they were working on and were having a lot of life problems. Totally cool, it was only two months since they accepted my commission no big. (Screenshot 2) Now we fast forward to June, which is the first time since December they’ve responded to me. They now are saying they lost all the files because their computer crashed and they won’t be able to finish my commission and they won’t be able to refund my money. I wasn’t allowed to request a refund because they had no money. (Screenshot 3) Now at this point I am getting increasingly upset, because it had nine months since I commissioned them, and seven months since I last heard from them, so I demanded either the commission or my refund. (Screenshot 4) After that they sent me another message saying they don’t draw females, even though that was the same characters I sent a year ago. (Screenshot 5) If you refer back to the original post they draw both MxM and MxF. Then they sent yet another message stating they would refund me in point, and I responded saying I didn’t want point, I wanted the cash that I had sent. (Screenshot 6) Then they told me they couldn’t send money on PayPal because I ‘blocked them’ and they no longer had PayPal and kept insisting on Point. (Screenshot 7 & 8) And that brings me to the most recent exchange. I basically told them I would dispute the transaction on PayPal because it wasn’t fair they kept dodging my request of a refund. They basically told me I was irrational for not thinking about what they are going through in life and why they can’t refund me. (Screenshot 9) And now I get the joy of dealing with their friends telling me I am a horrible customer everything else because I don’t want to accept points. (Screenshot 10) I don’t use points as a way to commission so it wouldn’t be a fair refund. UPDATE : So they messaged me again on a different account this time, basically giving me an excuse for why their friends came after me, also telling me why they no longer draw women, despite accepting my commission last year. (Screenshot 11) And their solution is a refund of points, not my cash. The journal they refer to is one I posted on dA, per the advice of a few people there. UPDATE TWO : So I just recevied a refund some a different paypal email adress, so I suppose this has been resolved, but I am rather disapointed they lied to be about not having paypal. All of this could have been avoided. (Screenshot 12) In under no circumstance would I reconmend doing business with them, but I did receive my refund after a few grueling days of arguing with this person. Anyway, this is long winded, and I am sorry but after all of this here I am posting my first AB because I am so frustrated. I apologize in advance if this is messy or not the proper way to post, but I don't want anyway to have to go through what I went through. I would also love advice in how I should continue to approach this artist. 24. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/963375.html Its with an EXTREMELY heavy heart that I am writing this; but its been ongoing for SO long I think it is time. I want to preface this beware with the fact that Wolframkyo is EXTREMELY passionate and very kind in all their responses and usually get back to me rather quickly. This is a beware on professionalism, and a lack of time management.. as one year later I'm still awaiting my piece of art from them. Unfortunately I did not screengrab the journal where Wolframkyo was offering discounted commissions for an emergency fund; this was done end of June of 2016. Not sure what the circumstances were but I do recall that the journal was offering up their stunning artwork for a very affordable price, and was to be done in stream! So I jumped on that journal asking for a commission and was greeted promptly with an accept! payment was made (15USD) via Paypal http://imgur.com/K03OOc8 Unfortunately my piece didnt come up in any of the streams in this time frame which is fine, things happen, so from there I just waited for a little while, and saw a journal update in regards to u updates for the commission list! I noticed that my commission was NOT on this list and was a little concerned so I messaged Wolf and brought it up. They eased my mind and told me that it was an accident and I was added, and bumped up! http://imgur.com/K03OOc8 This was done via an Furaffinity Journal which I did not grab a screenshot of at that time, as I had no reason for concern. Ok great! Im a pretty patient person, so I just let Wolfram work on art and kept checking back in here and there. Fast forward to October now; I just asked for some updates as waiting from June to October for a in stream commission is a little long, but again I'm pretty patient. http://imgur.com/ulzlgj9 Im not really sure how I was supposed to be reading into their response? Im not sure if my commission was included in the ones they were talking about, or if my piece was to be done after this current batch? Whichever, I didnt mind the update and waiting a little bit longer. Im going to be really honest on this next part; I was VERY sick, in and out of the hospital and honestly had no time/forgot about this commission for quite some time. One day I received an unexpected note from Wolf saying that they were sorry for the wait, and they had lost my character sheet but I was to be up in the next batch of commissions! http://imgur.com/ER9cmof This took me by great surprise as I had all but forgotten about this piece. I promptly responded with a copy of my reference and was again relayed I would have updates the following weekend. (Please note the time stamp is now February of 2016) http://imgur.com/4Dzz5gr I really hate bugging artists, but Im at the point where I just either want my art done, or my refund. Im nervous about asking for a refund as they post journals regularly about financial issues, trying to work on art, trying to refund people.. but I attempted once more to contact them to get ANY form of an update. http://imgur.com/bmC3T7b But were here on July 18th 2017 with no updates, no progress, just promises of "youre up next" "ill have it soon" "next weekend hopefully". Wolfram is EXTREMELY kind hearted and I can tell theyre trying their best.. But its really frustrating to be led on by an artist and strung along for this long now. Something that I just now noticed was that on their Trello (application used to show progress/keep up to date on commissions) I wasnt even added to the queue until February of 2016. Im not sure if this was because of the switch from the FA journal to Trello or what, but I did find this very odd. http://imgur.com/8rqtvt7 EDIT: WOLFRAM has completed my work! (just over a year of a wait) and as I've said before, theyre SO kind and willing to work with you. My beware Isnt on their art, scamming, or anything of that really negative type. its just a time management/overloading themselves beware. I would commission again absolutely IF/WHEN wolfram gets their queue under control and the turn around time is not like 8 months to a year for a single piece. you can see their hard work/dedication and how quick they respond and how truly polite they are.

Ordered one by one. ) First image (Ordered aug 11th, done nov 10th) of the correct quality I paid for - https://www.dropbox.com/s/wa9emlisrz2mqml/tkhunhun1 copyALT.png?dl=0 Image I received - https://www.dropbox.com/s/8vsp726d98j70gw/2.png?dl=0 I had spoken to Yajuuu over skype about a 4 part seasons set of images that my husband was interested in getting. We discussed and agreed on the first image and despite them taking a while, it was done with no hassle, except they ignored every request wips, so we discussed the other. Yajuuu opened for Xmas/Winter commissions on FA (I ordered via skype), and I mentioned we wanted the slot. I said I would be ordering this one for him as a Christmas gift. We agreed on half payment; half then, half as it was finished. I jokingly asked if mine could be moved up the queue, as I was excited. They told me it would be done in a few days as they only had one other image on their queue, and then me. (Later find out this was a lie) Beginning of December they needed to move, so I sent the second half payment on the 9th. Caps of the winter/Xmas commission journal she posted are not possible as it has since been removed. Payment caps; (Her first name is public on FA and twitter. Nothing again and they said Valentines day. They mentioned they had done part of my image but didnt like it so they were redoing it. I never saw any proff the image had been started and was never given a wip. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rc42300597winn6/yajuuu2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ok7psgd566b7tkk/yajuuu4.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/7dxd30g5oi2hrmj/yajuuu1.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/f7qn0j2alzdag7p/yajuuu5.png?dl=0 They continued to do personal work and take on commissions. I asked for an uodate on Feb 23rd and was ignored. https://www.dropbox.com/s/852lr3dcm5vydaz/yajuuu6.png?dl=0 They told me they were entering a very popular contest on FA and linked me their To Do list (which they had earlier lied to me about, stating one ahead of me and that was it) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qwm8mspng3duhhr/yajuuu7.png?dl=0 Between this and they finale, They drew me another small commission, and a gift art, as well as TONS of personal art and other commissions. Personal issues kept happening, and I let the wait time slide. I asked for an update in early June on skype and was ignored. https://www.dropbox.com/s/k6ajnzfsbhaijve/yajuuu8.png?dl=0 A bit later I asked for an update on Discord. They told me it was a wip and would be completed soon. I asked to see it and they said no. That a friend had it, and didnt have sai so couldnt show me. Their TOS says 6 months and they'll give a refund. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c3rfmtlnr1x6n38/yajuuutos.png?dl=0 With no proof of work, ever, and they'd taken on so many commissions, I was upset and figured I'd never get my commissions so I asked if they could show a wip, quoted the over 6 months thing, and if not, could I have a refund. Wording in the IMs isnt as professional as normal as we were 'friends'. Not super close or anything, but enough that friendly chatting and banter was totally acceptable and chatted often. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jskqcgm3obtp5b/yajuuu9.png?dl=0 They told me they were upset because someone had promised to have a working compuer for them, as they went out of state for a month, and claimed they would work that entire time. At this point they state they have commissions before me that were due for november and december, and states I set no deadline when ordering. They argue a bit over the deadline and when I link what's left of the skype conversation to prove I asked for one they get really rude; 'Uh.. I know what I said, TK, I'm not short of memory" https://www.dropbox.com/s/mqz3at24wabizsh/yajuuu10.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kgsa3es01hkkgw/yajuuu11.png?dl=0 At this point the whole thing turns sour. I tell them I understand the issues that popped up, but that they'd missed so many deadlines and it's way overdue. They keep saying they have a lot of overdue work before me. They completely ignore when I bring up they told me it was one commission, then mine. She then says 'Ill hurry and finish it' and then I worry. They say 'it might be rushed'. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1yry42o45nbc995/yajuuu12.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/v8hwoufxwro0qk3/yajuuu13.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/41ldoev9xcawv71/yajuuu14.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnyfbxla2oi31gy/yajuuu15.png?dl=0 I never once asked for the image, I asked for the WIP, or a refund. We argue this and I state multiple times I dont want it rushed and that I paid for a full image, they insist I didnt, and that I only paid for a BG, as if the quality is up to them. I state if theyre rushing it I want a refund, they ignore it and state again that Im not their only customer, and they 'want to hurry up and get it done'. I say thats its a scam, they cant just lower the quality of a commission. I ordered from their journal that had an image with samples on it equal to the first commission, with a clean full detail BG, and soft shading, and highlights. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2khlqzt7g6kppr0/yajuuu16.png?dl=0 They talk a lot about how their other commissioners are so patient, and try and guilt trip me. I kept asking for a refund and they never reply to it, so I finally say 'just finish the art'. NOT asking for it, but no longer expecting to get a refund. They give a day or to eta for the PC to be up and my commission to be done that weekend and miss that deadline, they dont contact me so I ask for an update. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ieigo745vbnbw26/yajuuu17.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tzawrluj1do04ob/yajuuu18.png?dl=0 The image was.... not what I paid for. I cropped both images to hide who the artist was and asked a few friends if the two matched in quality; they all agreed the winter one was clearly rushed and not the same quality. No names were named. Things were missing from my character, the BG was sloppy, and, the quality of the coloring was nothing like what was to be provided. Yajuuu refused the fixes, but agreed on the eyes and freckles. And I (unhappily) accepted a partial refund they said would be given in a month. (Half refund was received later) She also claimed she put extra detail in to the fall one, but the fall one matches the samples that were initially given for the commission tier. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjjb97sdwkpkzv3/yajuuu19.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/iad4cv0zrqpg5u7/yajuuu20.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6fe8x3vsvlmd2r/yajuuu21.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kwd9bfibj20ubg9/yajuuu22.png?dl=0 I agree to unfollow their twitter, but I guess it was misunderstood because its not super clear? But only after I get the refund, as I was VERY uncomfortable with the artist blocking all my means of contact seeing as they had already ignored me on skype a few times. I agreed to not post the AB as well here, as it would be done and over with. During this, she blocked me from her private twitter. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ye19l6dc29i92yl/yajuuu23.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/y58h5s5j808o9ws/yajpricing.png?dl=0 She mentions that she gave me a discount; I paid $50 USD and it was listed at $80 USD but she said she was thinking of giving all friends discounts. Yajuuu then talks about how her other stuff is delayed, and how she has so many projects shes behind on, and how her other customers are patient and how shes giving them freebies. She goes on to say I demanded my commission when all I asked for was wips and updates and gets very snippy with me. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6vf79bw5lwr3c8t/yajuuu24.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dex72meo5dtrc21/yajuuu25.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/25jw06og48ilo6f/yajuuu26.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wlufkxbd7unjk2/yajuuu27.png?dl=0 I agree to unfollow her twitters (Sorry I guess I still wasnt clear on that, I still liked her art and wanted to watch her PUBLIC FA account) I mention Im not home and will unfollow when I can. She blocked me before I could unfollow her. Before I was blocked on her twitter she called me out by name and kept posting guilt tripping tweets, as seen below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3mhf9flrtqm9ee7/yajtwitter.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/3nudsd903lnszlq/yajtwitter2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/lksbaubqn97g003/yajtwitter3.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dpskula42ni6hu3/yajtwitter4.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/qhe9zavr855fj4e/yajtwitter5.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/se5s1l10rr60rsp/yajtwotter4.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/egvwpm0elkfh5jn/yajuucallout.png?dl=0 (call me out by name here, thus no longer keeping it 'private') And the three journals they posted about/to me on FA https://www.dropbox.com/s/0fqo4keuu134qnz/yajuuujournal.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/wu1fi7wyc81gp84/yajuujournal2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/mpwjxqb3j5kks90/yajuujournal3.png?dl=0 I wanted to keep watcher her FA because her art is super pretty and I really love it. Twitter is more personal/private so I agreed to undfollow even though it's also public. SHe then started posting the journals and got the mutual friend to ask me to unwatch her FA, I replied that I never agreed to and Im not noting, commenting, or faving. No harassment or anything, just wanting to see some art. I think this was just me not being clear enough though? My bad on that, I'll make sure to be MUCH more clear from now on. I decided to ask for advice, and go against my promise of not posting this as her attitude was awful and she did not let the situation go. EDIT; for clarification, I did unwatch her before posting this beware, and she did post more journals. One on her main, in regards to a journal I made (she was checking my page, as she no longer watches me), and two on dead/old accounts that I forgot existed, that I was still watching because of said forgetting they were there.
