About Me

  1. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/973487.html > SUBJECT: ARTIST BEWARE: FurFancyCostumes/Victoria10717/Vixxens > > WHO: Victoria10717, Vixxens, or her official business FurfancyCostumes > > WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/victoria10717/, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/furfancycostumes, and http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vixxens/. More proof can be found on her instagram https://www.instagram.com/_victoria10717_/. Her business sites are http://furfancy.webstarts.com/ and http://www.furfancycostumes.com/ > > WHAT: Stretchy handband ears > > WHEN: The journal where I asked for ears I cannot access but payment was recieved by her on January 30th of 2015. I spoke to her in person at AC about them. then there were a few notes exchanged on fa about the status of my commission. > > EXPLAIN: In February of 2015 I had paid Victoria for a hand made item (paypal transaction https://imgur.com/a/qAJnV > ). A set of headband ears which I was told would be finished by July at Anthrocon. The convention came and went and I still did not receive my item (asking if they will be ready https://imgur.com/a/oYsYu. I was placed on her public Que for completion along with others. Earlier this year I was removed from the list without notification and I myself had to reach out to her. The reason I got was as follows: "ive been trying to get the extra cash to actually refund you for them since its been a crazy amount of time :(" I was also informed she wanted to focus solely on large scale projects (Trello removal? https://imgur.com/a/peEsU) (Trello response https://imgur.com/a/yd4Df). I also know between all of this she had moved several times and was having issues so I was patient and understanding. Since all of this she has bought quite a bit of house items, a large 3-d printer, and a large 22hd cintiq drawing tablet for herself within the past two months so I do not understand why I have not received my refund from her. She is using both the 3-d printer and the tablet to take on many commissions and pre-orders and has been very active online in doing so. On the 24th I issued a two week warning on an artist beware, believing this was more then enough time to rectify the issue of either my refund or the product. She has read these messages but has not responded since (Follow up https://imgur.com/a/mX8Kr) (following up again https://imgur.com/a/GdTjK) (Ultimatium issued https://imgur.com/a/NgsPk). Now I understand should not have waited this long for such a small product but with her moving a lot I thought it was the right thing to do. I would get paypal involved but it is now going on almost 3 years of waiting for ear headbands. She also claims she doesn't take small parts orders but her trello and her pages show otherwise. > > PROOF: (paypal transaction https://imgur.com/a/qAJnV > ) (asking if they will be ready https://imgur.com/a/oYsYu) (overdue Acknowledgment https://imgur.com/a/Rrju8) (Trello removal? https://imgur.com/a/peEsU) (Trello response https://imgur.com/a/yd4Df) (Follow up https://imgur.com/a/mX8Kr) (following up again https://imgur.com/a/GdTjK) (Ultimatium issued https://imgur.com/a/NgsPk) (business email and possible refund? https://imgur.com/a/0vDdk > ) (New Graphic Table and price https://imgur.com/a/TPpc6 https://imgur.com/a/L680s) (New large 3-d printer and price https://imgur.com/a/wJkBR https://imgur.com/a/0hVhO) (proof that all messages on furaffinty were read by Victoria as requested by AB staff https://imgur.com/a/tiqIA) ::EDIT AS OF 10/20/2017:: Full refund has been recieved by Victoria via paypal So I am owed nothing else. link for proof: https://imgur.com/a/wynPx
  2. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/972238.html WHO: Caltroplay WHERE: FA Profile: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/caltroplay/ I met her at MFF 2016 in the dealer's den, and paid her 75$ USD for a sketch. WHAT: Black and white (I assume digital) two-character sketch, paid $75 USD in cash (she didn't take cards). WHEN: Met her on the last day of MFF 2016, talked briefly, asked if she was available for commissions, which she was - so I happily commissioned her for a two-character sketch. I messaged her through FA two weeks later on December 19th, describing an idea I wanted illustrated. I got a reply from her two weeks later, saying she wasn't sure if the idea would work well but she could give it a shot. I have not heard from her since, despite replying to that message and sending her multiple FA notes in the following months. I sent her a note on Jan 16th which FA has marked as read, but never got a reply. I sent a followup note on Jan 28th, which FA still marks as not read. I've looked for other ways to contact her - left a shout on her page, tweeted at her a few times, but never heard back. Her FA journal post from Dec 7th, 9 months ago, lists my name as one of the people who ordered a take home commission at MFF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7962221/ https://ibb.co/e067KQ EXPLAIN: I've offered multiple times asking for either a refund or the image I paid for: This is an FA message I sent on Jan 28th: https://ibb.co/fMzuzQ This is a tweet I made on May 21st which was never addressed: https://twitter.com/NitramHu/status/866531731515383809 To my knowledge she still uses Twitter - her FA profile has not been active. I don't know of any other way to contact her. I feel kind of bad for doing this, as she seems to be dealing with some personal issues, but I haven't received any news in over 8 months. PROOF: This is an FA message I sent on Jan 28th: https://ibb.co/fMzuzQ This is a tweet I made on May 21st which was never addressed: https://twitter.com/NitramHu/status/866531731515383809 Her FA journal post from Dec 7th, 9 months ago, lists my name as one of the people who ordered a take home commission at MFF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7962221/ I don't want to harass or hurt anyone - I just want to either get my art or a refund. Probably just a refund at this point.
  3. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/971529.html WHERE: FurAffinity, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/yuurikin/ WHAT: Digital Art, $150 USD. WHEN: 29th December 2016 was when payment was made. EXPLAIN: On the 29th of December 2016 I bought a $150 art piece from Yuurikin. I requested a refund 5 months ago, 12th of April 2017. I was told I would receive it within a month from that time, of course I haven't received anything. PROOF: http://puu.sh/xGnhi/c2b17a863b.png I think I was very nice/fair to this person in this note. I noted him with a bit of a longer, more serious note. https://puu.sh/xGnpg/1850e0b1ac.jpg it has been opened but not replied to or anything. http://puu.sh/xHXpq/0cb7f8ce12.jpg proof of purchase with censors. https://puu.sh/xHXqW/fb1edb1a40.jpg proof of my notes having been opened. I honestly just hope this can be solved A.S.A.P. I know times are tough for both of us, and I don't want to be petty, but I don't have much choice. Update: I contacted Yuurikin via Twitter on the 27th of September and was informed I'd receive the refund a.s.a.p. I asked for an update on the 8th of October and haven't yet received a response. Update 2: I was contacted by Yuurikin via FA note on the 10th of October informing me I'd be receiving my refund today or tomorrow.
  4. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/971057.html WHO: Vani / AshKetchumSays / stripesandteeth WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani/ http://stripesandteeth.tumblr.com/ https://twitter.com/AshKetchumSays/ WHAT: $50 digital bust/ waist up commission WHEN: I commissioned them in 2010/2011 (I don't have screencaps and the commission Journal was deleted, so I'm not 100% sure about the year but it was during that time) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EDIT: I tried contacting them again today (08.10.2017) via Twitter and got a fast and professional response. They gave me an estimate when I will get a WIP and the finished badge. To be resolved. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EXPLAIN: Back then I was really happy so snag a slot, they posted pretty regularly on FA and I wasn't too worried about the long waitlist they had (sadly they deleted the Journal with the old list before I was able to get a screencap). I am a very patient commissioner and have waited up to 3 years for a commission to be finished so I did not contact them for a few years after the initial payment was sent via Paypal. Sadly I don't have a screenshot of said payment since I didn't think I'd need one. They never once contacted me about my commission and suddenly disappeared from FA, leaving a giant list of waiting commissioners behind. I knew no other way to contact them, so I waited and gave them the benefit of the doubt. At some point they returned, saying they were sorry and they would pick up the outstanding commissions but then they disappeared again. They had at least 2 people trying to manage their commissions as kind of a 'secretary' so far as far as I know but this also did not work out. 2 years ago they returned to FA again, asking for commissioners to contact them, so I did - here is the note I sent and their reply . I was hoping they'd work through their old list then but as far as I know not much progress has been made. They were inactive again for some time after that. In March this year I sent a mail to the mail address they left on their Journal, asking for a refund (I assumed it had been 4 years when it had been 6 to 7 years of a wait already). I never got a reply. They took (and keep taking) new commissions via Twitter and at cons, some of which have been completed and some that seem to have been added to their list. I've seen AB posts of their more recent commissions. They also do a lot of adopts and by now I don't think I'll ever see my money again. I don't recommend commissioning this artist. PROOF: their trello list(s) - https://trello.com/b/dU3cUcEA/vanis-full-commission-queue-updates screencap of their Trello with my name on it just to be sure - https://imgur.com/11H1aSW (edited for screencap censoring & link fixing)

EXPLAIN: The artist opened for commissions in early May 2016 and I got a commission slot, payment was made on May 13 2016 (https://puu.sh/xEbuA/78ada16279.png) in the total of $85 for a single character digital piece. The artist later made a journal in mid-August 2016 stating they were overburdened with a large commission queue and would appreciate folks asking for refunds (Journal since deleted). I sent a note on August 19 2016 asking for a refund (https://puu.sh/xEbzA/4da6977871.png). I did not receive a response to this note so I sent a follow up note on September 22 2016 (https://puu.sh/xEbD6/013fc01f4e.png). I got a response back from the artist a month later on October 22 2016 stating they were working to get mine and others' refunds out sometime in the beginning or middle of next month (https://puu.sh/xEbDl/be089f9dc8.png). I stated this was fine (https://puu.sh/xEbJb/fe3f3feab5.png). I followed up on November 28 2016 when no refund was seen for the entirety of the month, proposing an exchange for a different commission, offering the artist another route out (http://puu.sh/xEbNp/c354455819.png). I sent the details of this commission on December 8 2016, did not receive a response, and followed up again on December 12 2016 to see what the artist thought, to which they replied "Yeah that would be fine" (https://puu.sh/xEbUQ/329d7a6462.png). I did not hear from the artist after. There were sparse messages and journals about the refund process intermingled with musings about having no desire to work (https://puu.sh/xEc6y/10ad8fd440.png, https://puu.sh/xEc7G/c601242319.png). There was a refund queue on their Trello at one point, detailing everyone waiting for a refund, how much, and what order they were in line. This Trello list was eventually removed as well and instead replaced with a note about where he is at with refunds (http://puu.sh/xEcd7/c521e21706.png as of 9/19/2017). I sent a note asking about the status of my refund once more on September 6 2017 (https://puu.sh/xEaZS/f441ea1d63.png), which he read and did not reply to (https://puu.sh/xEaZd/b29965217c.png). I followed up almost 20 days later, a few days after this I received a response stating he was leaving for a trip and I should see a refund around the start of October (http://puu.sh/xMfxY/d18c403e67.png). I apologize for this.) WHAT: An Original Species Adopt Found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18744417/ was sold to me for $250 and has since been reclaimed. I was not given a refund for it, and the individuals that are aids to the seller as well as the seller in question all refuse to even speak to me. WHEN: I bought the design on January 10th 2016. A dispute between me and the artist occurred sometime in October 2016 that got me blocked by them everywhere, including emails after an email exchange with the artist. The adopt was "reclaimed" on August 24th 2017 and after a brief attempt at an email exchange I was dismissed, and ignored. (Please note that I live in the UK which will cause time zone differences between me and the artist as they don't live in the UK) EXPLAIN & PROOF: On January 10th 2016 me and the artist entered an exchange via notes that displays my interest in buying the adopt in question. The artist accepted and I sent them the payment without delay within the space of an hour. (Notes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDiUDFVS3EydDlvSGs/view?usp=sharing, PayPal: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiQUJHNFdFWi0yVjA) On October 2nd 2016 Demu posted a journal concerning the his original species Ferrin, stating that female Ferrin no-longer had breasts as they lay eggs instead of producing live young, negating the need for the females to produce milk. I posted some comments on this journal and Demu took offence with them and blocked me, on every platform they knew or could discover I was on. Now when I purchased the adopt they make it a requirement that we adhere to an agreement called the Ferrin Adopt Agreement. this agreement is updated regularly and I can not provide the version that I initially agreed to or the version of it that was enforced at the time I was blocked. The current version is here: http://whitevalestudio.com/athenaeum/doku.php?id=documentation:adopt_agreement . The reason this is relevant is because it was last updated on November 2016, after October 2nd 2016 when this incident be tween us took place. The oldest version I can find is here: https://sta.sh/0kw73r0l6sq which was updated October 2015 Now after being blocked initially I felt terrible and disgusted with myself to the point it had a negative consequence on my mental condition, so I panicked somewhat and emailed them to apologize (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDiaGR3RUxRT0FqVGs/view?usp=sharing) . This didn't go down well. But being in the panicked mood that I was and the overly emotional state that comes with my depression, I kept talking (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDiMnFveHFWY3pkem8/view?usp=sharing) because that's how I am. It's how I've been forged and is a sad factor of how I work no matter what. This I can explain, for those that wish to know. That also did not go down well (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDiU1NQaXl1T2FTSEU/view?usp=sharing, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDicVlVVTNGVmt2QkE/view?usp=sharing), they blocked my email and I could not reach them (not sure how you "block" an email) so anything I sent to them after a certain point would not be seen by Demu, or anyone else with access to the email. The reason this is important is because in the version of the Adopt Agreement I was bound to it stated that if I wanted to sell an adopt I needed to inform Demu of it first, with me being blocked, I could not do so in any way shape or form. So this for me potentially dissolved our agreement as that can happen when one makes it impossible for one party makes it impossible for the other party to fulfil their part of said agreement. So by blocking me everywhere, Demu essentially nullified the Adopt Agreement between us meaning it did not apply to me any longer or the Ferrin I adopted. But the opposite could also be true as the full legal depth of it is rather tricky as it's essentially impossible to copyright a species based on a design and words alone, because of how copyright law works. So for me I was left in a sort of limbo, and wasn't exactly sure how to progress. So I settled on a compromise. I would bind myself to the majority of the Agreement as it was written on the date of me being blocked from contacting them via email, I would check Demu's account once a month to see if I'd been unblocked to establish that the Adopt Agreement would then be reestablished between us as the original issue was resolved, and in 1 year (October 2nd 2017) if I was not unblocked, I would check the new Agreement and decide if I wished to follow it, if not I would ask a friend to contact Demu and notify them of this and state I wish to sell the design to not cause a conflict of interest. i tried to illustate this ion the ferrin I adopted with the Artists Comment box that comes with everythign one uploads to FA and such sites (This screen shots were sent to me by Demu's staff as their evidence against me https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzhBESqCaxDiUFhKQVg0M1RmN3hHNVZUcEhnNllseHJzWkpN/view?usp=sharing)That was the plan anyway. But on August 24th 2017, a member of staff working for Demu contacted me and stated that they were reclaiming the mentioned adopt (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDibkJNRW14SlpMUnM). One reason for this is because of the above linked part of my Artists Comment box, where I say I will not follow it after the point of being blocked, and the others were because I keep a public list of the people that have blocked me (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8003830/, Print Screen provided by Demu's aid in case it gets deleted: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDicGlMbkJwelhFdnpqUmJUSUpjdFlYWXNWcHQ4) on an Announcement Board style Journal, this is to ensure anyone that follows me is aware that those artists shouldn't be recommend ed to me since I'm blocked, I can't communicate with them. trying to would defeat the purpose of suggesting them, the other is because I have a journal entry entirely dedicated as an apology towards Demu (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7838301/, Print Screen provided by Demu's aid in case it gets deleted: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiX0JCdi1WMzdEdUZFcl8tMGRZTUtURmM3LVV3). These are notices and a public apology which is in of itself an acknowledgement of wrongdoing. The apology itself was posted in September 2016 and in my previous emails to Demu I informed them about them, and yet are only now bringing it up as an apparent issue. So I responded, again panicking as that's just in my nature and as such it's not going to be very...elegant (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiWGNvMUlCaEI0SU0). After that my mind started to swirl with the idea I'd been robbed blind and so I looked up about how PayPal deals with the issue. too late as it has a 180 general limit after the original exchange. This lead me to worry, but then a friend calmed me down and said that it might be best to file a dispute anyway so you have a filed objection but make it so Demu gets a chance to respond. So I did, but the options of what was "wrong" didn't fit the description of what was actually wrong so, i just picked one at random, and filed my complaint with some of my argument included as well as my suggestions on ways to resolve this (Link 1: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiNzJobktUOWh6cHc, Link 2: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiTUNlNlF0aTRQYkU). This didn't go down well as I then received another email, that not only dismissed everything I've said but also made many accusations towards me as an individual (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiYjl0LXpmOHFTcVE). So to this I responded, with my friend keeping me calm throughout the exchange so that I could put things more elegantly as shown here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiNnJFSloxM3ItQzA. This email has been ignored and will likely continue to be ignored. Throughout the exchange since being blocked Demu and their associate has made personal attacks against me as an individual, which for me adds insult to the injury of being left $250 worse off. So for me they have established themselves as a scam artist. I once had further evidence that would support this claim entirely, but I have lost it since my laptop broke and my bookmarks did not import entirely when I used a temporary one. Anything else would be conjecture at this point and I'd rather we all deal with facts. I as an individual know my faults in this and can learn and grow from it, I can explain some of the issues Demu and his aid have with me but again that would be conjecture. If Artist Beware staff permit I will elaborate in response to any comments that inquire about it. UPDATE 1: The artist RamTheDragon has offered to do their own version of the design for me so I'm not using Elty's art anylonger. For free. The finished image of said piece can be found here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiVXJZMy1xd04zTUU) and here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24790880/). They have expressed a willingness to be named, for their kind gesture. Also in my upload of the image here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24790880/) which i have also Print Screen here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiMWpJZ3Zla0JJTVE). I have also sent an email, shown here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiY3FpbDdaVmR5Rkk), to Elty/Demu, to express my intent on keeping the character. UPDATE 2: The artist (Elty) of said Character has contancted me via email here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiWlN2dm9mMHp5SzA) and here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzhBESqCaxDiSkZ6YUtfTnVuT0U). The artist has commented below. Any future conversations between the artisst and I share in private will either be expalined or shared here, to help anyone that see's this Beware in future be as aware of what has transpired as transparent as possible. UPDATE 3: The artist Elty, has been entire appologetic about what has happened. It seems that a friend they trusted to help them manage their emails abused their position of power. This is presumed to be because of issues in their personal life which has nothign to do with either I or Elty. Their original act of reclaiming the character was not a power they were granted by Elty and as such the official statement by Elty the Whitevale team is that it never should have been taken and that the act was more or less a type of theft on their part, caused by a singular member of the team (who has now lost their position). So the issue is resolved.

We agreed upon a digital bust commission which I paid $46 for. I accidentally sent them payment in wrong currency at first (AUD) but they refunded me immediately so I could re-send them the correct amount. On February 21st, Vani confirmed that the payment was received (screenshot 2-4). On March 30th 2016 I contacted them again asking if there was any problems with my commission and they told me they would be working on commissions again the following week (screenshot 5) On August 5th 2016 I asked if there were any updates on my commission and their excuse was a sudden relocation to Florida. Again they stated that the first thing they would get to was their remaining commissions. (screenshot 6) On March 17th 2017 I asked for a refund. They promised to refund for my commission, but never did (screenshot 7) On July 24th they uploaded a commission to their Furaffinity page, mentioning that this was their last colored bust commission from last year's batch. I commented on this submission asking what happened to mine and they quickly responded to this, explaining that they would complete my commission soon. This proved to me that they did not have a structured commission queue at all, since I as many others seemed to have been completely forgotten (screenshot 8-9) Vani gets a secratary: On May 24th Vani posted a journal on Furaffnity stating that they had gotten a secretary who would help them organize their commission queue, reach out to waiting commissioners and update with a new journal before June 15th. This is the last journal Vani has posted up until today(16/08/2017) and I never received a message from this secretary. Yet again I was left in the dark and according to the comment section, I did not seem to be the only one. Link to journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8241229/ Screenshot of journal: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yshphpggrhxw605/Screenshot secretary journal.png?dl=0 I honestly have no faith that I will ever receive this commission or get a refund. Even if I do, I would not recommend commissioning this artist. They always responded to my messages, but their response was repetitive empty promises. Thank you for helping me correct any spelling/grammar mistakes! EDIT 11/03/2017 In short: Vani refunds me after I Tweet about them (without publicly mentioning their name) about their bad work ethic. Full story: Today I received a Twitter DM from a person who claimed to be Vani's manager. They informed me that Vani was about to refund me for the commission, and honestly I was kind of baffled, I knew that I wasn't on the refund list, and I asked for a refund back in March 2016. I'm censoring their name, but here's the DMs: https://puu.sh/ye2jn/327db3b95d.png I did receive the refund from Vani in form of a gift transaction, and Vani wrote this in the transaction description: https://puu.sh/ye2nK/5f3b8a605d.png. I decided that it's only fair from me to remove these Tweets as the situation as has been resolved, but here is a screenshot of them anyway: (includes cussing) https://puu.sh/ye272/bbfa597c41.png. The deadline commissions I was referring to was two reference auction commissions Vani was holding on Furaffinity, one in which has a deadline for October and one for November. Side note: Vani said that I paid $46 for this commission, which is false. They asked for $46 for this commission, but I paid $50. Not very important, but I would like to include it anyway. Anyway, even though I am pleased that I finally got my refund (that I was promised in March mind you), I am very disappointed to see that showing displeasure in form of some salty Tweets was the only way to resolve this issue.

  9. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/963890.html WHO: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sindaj/ , https://twitter.com/iSindaj WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sindaj/ WHAT: YCH Comic Page (Digital) WHEN: Feb. 10th - Saw the YCH on the front page of FA and took interest, noted Sindaj asking if it was still available and claimed the slot. Paid. http://sta.sh/01pv3h47c79b / http://sta.sh/01d7v8zlhtjz / http://sta.sh/02cprx8gkvm7 / http://sta.sh/0197p3vfzvd1 A few months go by, Sindaj streams off and on and does sketches in stream / misc. Art, but does not touch the YCHs like promised. May 8th - I send a note asking Sindaj for an ETA and am told that he will be working on them the following week. It does not happen. http://sta.sh/01zblhz57zv0 Sindaj has various life and health issues that prevent him from working on owed work, but he continues to upload personal (?) work to his gallery and other commissions. July 3/4 - I send another note, feeling a bit uncomfortable with how long it has taken for a YCH to be completed, asking for a refund. Sindaj replies saying that it will take a while to refund me, as he needs to resell the slot. I consent to the reselling of the slot and give him a deadline of August. Sindaj does not reply, nor does he make a public effort to resell the slot. http://sta.sh/026e72yxzrfo / http://sta.sh/054d7nj1f1p July 12th - I have opened a dispute Sindaj, giving a hard refund deadline of August 1st and expressing that if I do not hear back from him by then, I will be escalating my dispute to a claim. I do not want the YCH at this point, I want my money back. I do not feel comfortable working with Sindaj, and while I understand that life happens, I feel that he has been all too flippant about handling his relationship with his commissioners. I feel it is my right to cancel this commission, as no work has been done, and I feel I am allowed a full refund. http://sta.sh/01tzz6d7mm8c July 16th - Sindaj posts a journal talking about paypal claims specifically, leading me to believe I am not the only person on his queue who is uncomfortable working with him any longer. Note: I still have not escalated my dispute against Sindaj, per my message to him in the Paypal message center, and I still have not received a response from him. http://sta.sh/0u6on8fmmky July 18th - Sindaj emails my PayPal email directly instead of responding to the still-open dispute, using a guilt trip and claiming I did not attempt to speak with him prior to opening my dispute (which he repeatedly refers to as a claim). He infers I am being unreasonable, and states that he is not interested in reselling the slot. He promises a refund, but his message is unclear as to when I will be receiving it. I have yet to respond to his email because I honestly do not know how to respond to him yet, but after calling PayPal and informing them that I have gotten in contact with Sindaj outside of the dispute system, I have chosen to 1: keep the dispute open lest I lose PayPal's protection, and 2: post this to Artists-Beware as I’m honestly fed up with Sindaj and this situation entirely. http://sta.sh/0v89k6gxp8w http://sta.sh/0n8i34xxmva EXPLAIN / PROOF: In February I logged in and saw a comic page YCH on the front page of FA with an autobuy of $50. I was interested in the style and thought Sindaj’s artwork seemed neat, so I noted him and purchased the slot. I noticed he had a few outstanding commissions, but he seemed to be going through them and streaming regularly at the time, so I didn’t really think much of it at the time. Sindaj streamed off and on after I paid, saying he’d be posting updates when he’d be streaming, so I would check in every so often to see what he was working on, but he mostly worked on sketches in stream / personal art and didn’t touch the YCHs or other previously owed work*, so I usually didn’t stay long. *To my knowledge - as I did not stay longer than an hour or two, it could have changed, but this was what I witnessed in my time in his streams. Sindaj would often express that he was having personal trouble with his health and living situation that interfered with his work, but as I’m disabled and occasionally need to put a small pause on my own work, I didn’t think much of it until a few months had passed with nothing to show in terms of progress on the YCH I had paid for. I hadn’t seen work done on any of the other comic pages Sindaj had put up for sale, either, so I sent him a note in May asking for an ETA / status update. He replied and said that he would be working on the comic pages the next week. I thanked him for the update and waited, but he did not work on the comic page YCHs at all. As Sindaj’s living situation and health issues seemed to escalate, he put a pause on his commission work and streaming, but still would occasionally post some personal work and adoptables (?) to his FurAffinity, offering to stream them for potential buyers. After a while, I realized I was coming up to the point where I would lose PayPal’s protection, so in July I sent Sindaj a note. I no longer wished to commission him, I felt that - despite the circumstances - the timeframe for a YCH had gone on long enough and at this point I just wanted my money back in full. Sindaj replied saying that he would have to resell the slot, and I consented, saying that he had until August to resell the slot and refund me. He never replied, nor had he made an effort to resell the slot or refund my money, but he’s posted a journal update saying he might be well enough to work on commissions and then he’ll stop doing them for a while (???). He’s repeatedly posted journals and such saying he’ll be streaming owed work, but has not actually streamed. As of July 12th I’ve issued a hard deadline - telling Sindaj to please refund my money in full, I do not want the YCH slot anymore, and that if he does not refund me by August 1st, I will escalate my dispute with PayPal to a claim. I really did not want it to come to this, as I do think Sindaj is a good artist, but I do not feel comfortable with how he handles his professional work. Sindaj repeatedly hides behind being ill when confronted about not getting work done, but I am a disabled artist. I understand what it is to be chronically ill. Sometimes you cannot get work done immediately, yes, sometimes life gets in the way, yes, but regardless you owe it to your clients to be professional and have policies in place for when you cannot do the work you were paid to do. I personally have a time frame for myself wherein I refuse to string commissioners along - if I cannot do the work that I was paid to do, I do not get to keep that money. It sucks, it has only happened once while I’ve taken commissions, but it’s necessary to protect the interests of your commissioner and keep the trust of the community you’ve chosen to work with. I think Sindaj is a lovely artist and I do genuinely hope his situation improves, but I cannot say I would feel comfortable going back to work with him again and that I just want this to be over. UPDATE 7/21/2017: I woke up to an email from PayPal stating that Sindaj has escalated the dispute to a claim, despite my deadline. I have no idea if he thinks that escalating the dispute himself will remove him from any obligations, but I have plenty of evidence for PayPal if they need it and will be calling them, as I'm pretty irked about this altogether. http://sta.sh/0s6m2xf3den , http://sta.sh/04i7uhi3h48 , http://sta.sh/0j2m9k27pxk , http://sta.sh/022loddrly6t UPDATE 7/21/2017 | B: After getting a hold of PayPal, the associate I spoke with informed me that Sindaj called and escalated to a claim in order to refund me (??? - these are PayPal's words on what Sindaj told them when escalating) and processed the refund. I have my refund, I've not heard anything from Sindaj, but I am still uncomfortable with how they have chosen to communicate with me and am not going to watch them or interact with them anymore and would advise against doing any business with them. http://sta.sh/02c3qwy7ljdx
  10. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/963375.html Its with an EXTREMELY heavy heart that I am writing this; but its been ongoing for SO long I think it is time. I want to preface this beware with the fact that Wolframkyo is EXTREMELY passionate and very kind in all their responses and usually get back to me rather quickly. This is a beware on professionalism, and a lack of time management.. as one year later I'm still awaiting my piece of art from them. Unfortunately I did not screengrab the journal where Wolframkyo was offering discounted commissions for an emergency fund; this was done end of June of 2016. Not sure what the circumstances were but I do recall that the journal was offering up their stunning artwork for a very affordable price, and was to be done in stream! So I jumped on that journal asking for a commission and was greeted promptly with an accept! payment was made (15USD) via Paypal http://imgur.com/K03OOc8 Unfortunately my piece didnt come up in any of the streams in this time frame which is fine, things happen, so from there I just waited for a little while, and saw a journal update in regards to u updates for the commission list! I noticed that my commission was NOT on this list and was a little concerned so I messaged Wolf and brought it up. They eased my mind and told me that it was an accident and I was added, and bumped up! http://imgur.com/K03OOc8 This was done via an Furaffinity Journal which I did not grab a screenshot of at that time, as I had no reason for concern. Ok great! Im a pretty patient person, so I just let Wolfram work on art and kept checking back in here and there. Fast forward to October now; I just asked for some updates as waiting from June to October for a in stream commission is a little long, but again I'm pretty patient. http://imgur.com/ulzlgj9 Im not really sure how I was supposed to be reading into their response? Im not sure if my commission was included in the ones they were talking about, or if my piece was to be done after this current batch? Whichever, I didnt mind the update and waiting a little bit longer. Im going to be really honest on this next part; I was VERY sick, in and out of the hospital and honestly had no time/forgot about this commission for quite some time. One day I received an unexpected note from Wolf saying that they were sorry for the wait, and they had lost my character sheet but I was to be up in the next batch of commissions! http://imgur.com/ER9cmof This took me by great surprise as I had all but forgotten about this piece. I promptly responded with a copy of my reference and was again relayed I would have updates the following weekend. (Please note the time stamp is now February of 2016) http://imgur.com/4Dzz5gr I really hate bugging artists, but Im at the point where I just either want my art done, or my refund. Im nervous about asking for a refund as they post journals regularly about financial issues, trying to work on art, trying to refund people.. but I attempted once more to contact them to get ANY form of an update. http://imgur.com/bmC3T7b But were here on July 18th 2017 with no updates, no progress, just promises of "youre up next" "ill have it soon" "next weekend hopefully". Wolfram is EXTREMELY kind hearted and I can tell theyre trying their best.. But its really frustrating to be led on by an artist and strung along for this long now. Something that I just now noticed was that on their Trello (application used to show progress/keep up to date on commissions) I wasnt even added to the queue until February of 2016. Im not sure if this was because of the switch from the FA journal to Trello or what, but I did find this very odd. http://imgur.com/8rqtvt7 EDIT: WOLFRAM has completed my work! (just over a year of a wait) and as I've said before, theyre SO kind and willing to work with you. My beware Isnt on their art, scamming, or anything of that really negative type. its just a time management/overloading themselves beware. I would commission again absolutely IF/WHEN wolfram gets their queue under control and the turn around time is not like 8 months to a year for a single piece. you can see their hard work/dedication and how quick they respond and how truly polite they are.

We discussed and agreed on the first image and despite them taking a while, it was done with no hassle, except they ignored every request wips, so we discussed the other. Yajuuu opened for Xmas/Winter commissions on FA (I ordered via skype), and I mentioned we wanted the slot. I said I would be ordering this one for him as a Christmas gift. We agreed on half payment; half then, half as it was finished. I jokingly asked if mine could be moved up the queue, as I was excited. They told me it would be done in a few days as they only had one other image on their queue, and then me. (Later find out this was a lie) Beginning of December they needed to move, so I sent the second half payment on the 9th. Caps of the winter/Xmas commission journal she posted are not possible as it has since been removed. Payment caps; (Her first name is public on FA and twitter. I asked for an uodate on Feb 23rd and was ignored. https://www.dropbox.com/s/852lr3dcm5vydaz/yajuuu6.png?dl=0 They told me they were entering a very popular contest on FA and linked me their To Do list (which they had earlier lied to me about, stating one ahead of me and that was it) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qwm8mspng3duhhr/yajuuu7.png?dl=0 Between this and they finale, They drew me another small commission, and a gift art, as well as TONS of personal art and other commissions. Personal issues kept happening, and I let the wait time slide. I asked for an update in early June on skype and was ignored. https://www.dropbox.com/s/k6ajnzfsbhaijve/yajuuu8.png?dl=0 A bit later I asked for an update on Discord. They told me it was a wip and would be completed soon. I asked to see it and they said no. That a friend had it, and didnt have sai so couldnt show me. Their TOS says 6 months and they'll give a refund. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c3rfmtlnr1x6n38/yajuuutos.png?dl=0 With no proof of work, ever, and they'd taken on so many commissions, I was upset and figured I'd never get my commissions so I asked if they could show a wip, quoted the over 6 months thing, and if not, could I have a refund. Wording in the IMs isnt as professional as normal as we were 'friends'. Not super close or anything, but enough that friendly chatting and banter was totally acceptable and chatted often. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jskqcgm3obtp5b/yajuuu9.png?dl=0 They told me they were upset because someone had promised to have a working compuer for them, as they went out of state for a month, and claimed they would work that entire time. At this point they state they have commissions before me that were due for november and december, and states I set no deadline when ordering. They argue a bit over the deadline and when I link what's left of the skype conversation to prove I asked for one they get really rude; 'Uh.. I know what I said, TK, I'm not short of memory" https://www.dropbox.com/s/mqz3at24wabizsh/yajuuu10.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kgsa3es01hkkgw/yajuuu11.png?dl=0 At this point the whole thing turns sour. I tell them I understand the issues that popped up, but that they'd missed so many deadlines and it's way overdue. They keep saying they have a lot of overdue work before me. They completely ignore when I bring up they told me it was one commission, then mine. She then says 'Ill hurry and finish it' and then I worry. They say 'it might be rushed'. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1yry42o45nbc995/yajuuu12.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/v8hwoufxwro0qk3/yajuuu13.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/41ldoev9xcawv71/yajuuu14.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnyfbxla2oi31gy/yajuuu15.png?dl=0 I never once asked for the image, I asked for the WIP, or a refund. We argue this and I state multiple times I dont want it rushed and that I paid for a full image, they insist I didnt, and that I only paid for a BG, as if the quality is up to them. I state if theyre rushing it I want a refund, they ignore it and state again that Im not their only customer, and they 'want to hurry up and get it done'. I say thats its a scam, they cant just lower the quality of a commission. I ordered from their journal that had an image with samples on it equal to the first commission, with a clean full detail BG, and soft shading, and highlights. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2khlqzt7g6kppr0/yajuuu16.png?dl=0 They talk a lot about how their other commissioners are so patient, and try and guilt trip me. I kept asking for a refund and they never reply to it, so I finally say 'just finish the art'. NOT asking for it, but no longer expecting to get a refund. They give a day or to eta for the PC to be up and my commission to be done that weekend and miss that deadline, they dont contact me so I ask for an update. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ieigo745vbnbw26/yajuuu17.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tzawrluj1do04ob/yajuuu18.png?dl=0 The image was.... not what I paid for. I cropped both images to hide who the artist was and asked a few friends if the two matched in quality; they all agreed the winter one was clearly rushed and not the same quality. No names were named. Things were missing from my character, the BG was sloppy, and, the quality of the coloring was nothing like what was to be provided. Yajuuu refused the fixes, but agreed on the eyes and freckles. And I (unhappily) accepted a partial refund they said would be given in a month. (Half refund was received later) She also claimed she put extra detail in to the fall one, but the fall one matches the samples that were initially given for the commission tier. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjjb97sdwkpkzv3/yajuuu19.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/iad4cv0zrqpg5u7/yajuuu20.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6fe8x3vsvlmd2r/yajuuu21.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kwd9bfibj20ubg9/yajuuu22.png?dl=0 I agree to unfollow their twitter, but I guess it was misunderstood because its not super clear? But only after I get the refund, as I was VERY uncomfortable with the artist blocking all my means of contact seeing as they had already ignored me on skype a few times. I agreed to not post the AB as well here, as it would be done and over with. During this, she blocked me from her private twitter. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ye19l6dc29i92yl/yajuuu23.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/y58h5s5j808o9ws/yajpricing.png?dl=0 She mentions that she gave me a discount; I paid $50 USD and it was listed at $80 USD but she said she was thinking of giving all friends discounts. Yajuuu then talks about how her other stuff is delayed, and how she has so many projects shes behind on, and how her other customers are patient and how shes giving them freebies. Twitter is more personal/private so I agreed to undfollow even though it's also public. SHe then started posting the journals and got the mutual friend to ask me to unwatch her FA, I replied that I never agreed to and Im not noting, commenting, or faving. No harassment or anything, just wanting to see some art. I think this was just me not being clear enough though? My bad on that, I'll make sure to be MUCH more clear from now on. I decided to ask for advice, and go against my promise of not posting this as her attitude was awful and she did not let the situation go. EDIT; for clarification, I did unwatch her before posting this beware, and she did post more journals. One on her main, in regards to a journal I made (she was checking my page, as she no longer watches me), and two on dead/old accounts that I forgot existed, that I was still watching because of said forgetting they were there.
  12. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/959501.html WHERE: http://shacklefunk.tumblr.com/ WHAT: Digital reference sheet of my character for 100USD WHEN: Sent out the comission request through their comission form back at the beginning of march (I don't have the exact date for this) and got a confirmation email on the 5th or march saying they accepted my comission. After a bit of trouble due to google wallet and different currencies (I'm in the UK so I couldn't send any USD, my partner in the US had to send it but I discussed all that with shacklefunk through email) I paid for the comission around the 7/8th of march. I checked back in if they got the payment on the 16th and they confirmed it the next day. I've managed to contact them a few times since then to ask about the status and on the 10th of May they informed me that they sent me a refund since it has been taking so long and they'd send me my finished comission soon. That was also the last time I've heard from them. EXPLAIN: I managed to grab a slot for a reference sheet when they opened up for just three slots of comissions back at the beginning of march. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0zd5mo0xhhndhx4/1.jpg?dl=0 Everything went well and we communicated through email, I had some trouble using google wallet since I've never used it before and didn't know I couldn't change the currency. I informed them about this and we worked out a solution. My partner in the US sent the money for it and I made sure to have it sent out as quickly as possible. After I sent out the money I checked back in with them if they had received it. In their reply they said they'd send me the finished picture that day or the next. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/7gujszpqw8y5wim/2.jpg?dl=0 After not having heard back from the again for about a week I sent them another email asking about the comission status. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/v36wxttkirxj57t/3.jpg?dl=0 I still didn't hear back from them and was starting to become quite anxious since it was a large amount of money and I've had some really bad experiences with some comissions before so I sent them another two emails to check on the status of my comission. I tried not to send them too soon after each other since I didn't want to annoy them. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/t2by66donulev1t/4.jpg?dl=0 After not hearing back from them again I tried reaching out to them through the tumblr messaging system instead since they were actively posting there. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/byjgoczepxdn6io/5.jpg?dl=0 I also made a post and tagged them in it to ask them to reply to any of my messages. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/yumr7awje8u1yqe/4_5.jpg?dl=0 That finally got them to reply to me, saying they'd send me the finished pic later that day. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/0xw184kjp20iuye/6.jpg?dl=0 I thanked them for it but then didn't hear anything from them for another few days so I decided to send them another message. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/56d5lwiihskcird/7.jpg?dl=0 Over a week later I got a reply saying they've sent me a refund since it had been taking so long and that they'd send me the finished picture soon (?). I haven't seen anything of my comission at any point and even though they've said back in march that the pic was done (and they just have to send it to me) the only answer I have now is that they've never actually done the comission. I don't know what to do about this anymore since they don't reply to any of my messages at all.
  13. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/959286.html Who: Ailuranthropy (appears to do business as “FoxFeatherStudios” according to PayPal) Where: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/ailuranthropy What: Digital Art – 2 Figure, shaded, Valentine’s Day-specific multi-user YCH When: Discussed and paid January 30th, 2017. Problems and delays began almost immediately and continued in frequency well beyond the holiday. Explain: The original commission was purchased on January 30th after a brief exchange via comments and notes. Shortly after began a long series of purported medical and housing “emergencies” that stacked in number. Meanwhile, Ailuranthropy continued taking in numerous new commissions while failing promise after promise to complete existing ones, several times specifically mentioning the Valentine’s Day pieces. I had sent three separate notes over FA looking for feedback. The first note was replied to, but did not answer my question. The second and third have not been opened or read as of June 22nd, 2017, suggesting the artist is either that far behind, falsely indicating progress where it doesn’t exist, or is outright ignoring me. Since they claim to have made progress in answering notes and publically stated they will address all of them within a time period that they’ve failed to meet, it suggests either of the latter case and deliberate negligence. Ailuranthropy runs frequent streams on Picarto where she often takes in new commissions. She mandates that no viewer is allowed to ask about owed artwork, or request status updates about them in the chat channel of the stream. Requests to actually get that information result in other users browbeating the customer with “channel rules” until they leave. A journal was posted on June 1st, 2017 that I found of particular concern. They wrote about their plans regarding owed work and made an “offer” to everyone who commissioned them before April 2017 that they have an option of a “full refund,” but that they won’t honor it “until probably August.” They say they will continue to take on new commissions while in-stream, and that the income for that is meant to pay for their living arrangement they are trying to set up, as well as paying for refunds of old ones. They specifically state “ME TAKING ON COMMISSIONS DOES NOT MEAN I AM IGNORING YOURS.” They also indicate that they will be expanding on the Valentine’s Day pieces and no longer using the base or template. Rather, they claim they will be creating new, unique poses for each customer. However, they also specifically made a point to tell people that PayPal is their sole and primary “bank” and are concerned about their account being flagged. This suggests to me that they are likely well aware of the limitations on how PayPal disputes work. I found it particularly troublesome to be asked to wait beyond my dispute window, where I would lose the bulk of my ability to try to resolve this issue. Given PayPal’s limitation of 6 months to file a dispute, and that the invoice was paid in January, we were quickly coming up to the deadline to escalate this issue. With my last two notes remaining unread, filing a dispute on PayPal was my only remaining bargaining tool. They replied within one hour to the PayPal dispute and asked for my FA username so they could remove me from their project list and blacklist me from any future business. I provided the username as requested, and asked that she update me when I’ve been removed and that she process the dispute accordingly, as she was effectively stating she would not deliver the product that was paid for. After 48 hours without a reply, I escalated the issue directly to PayPal to handle. PayPal contacted Ailuranthropy and a refund was provided within an hour. 14. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/958465.html WHO: Wildfluffytoast/Senpai/ WHERE: FA: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wildfluffytoast WHAT: $10 fullbody shaded piece WHEN: March 1, 2017 EXPLAIN: So I commissioned Senpai March 1st after one of her friends I was watching posted a journal about her offering cheap fullbodies and I thought it was a good deal. I commissioned two pieces. A two character for $10 and a three character for $15 for a total on $25. I sent my payment and on the third I received the two-character piece. Though it wasn’t the pose that I had asked for, I informed her on this and she agreed to redraw it once her other commissions were finished and to remind her. On the 14th of March after her commission list was empty I did remind her like she asked me to do. I resent both refs and a pose example of what I was wanting. I waited about a month before asking for an update In April. The message was read, but never replied to. Following that I sent another message on May 1st and waited for a bit before messaging her on Facebook May 4th. (I realized a typo in the facebook message. I meant to say she haven’t replied.) I was told the line art was done and the piece would be finished in a bit. A 2 weeks later my May 1st note on FA finally got a reply informing me of a lost in the family and of her job. Fast forward to June 23rd. I had gone onto Senpai’s FA page after some time and saw that she had not only made a ych, sold it, and completed it, but also done two pieces of personal art. Was a little annoyed with that seeing as how the ych was done it 3 days, but I was waiting for months. So I messaged her for an update on my redraw and got a reply on the 24th. I’m not trying to be mean or an asshole. I understand that she recently had someone close to her pass away and I can understand needing time to grieve. I’m just seriously annoyed. I did ask for a certain pose which the artist admits to misunderstanding and agreed to redraw, but it is going into the 5th month since I paid her and she has to me the line are for the redraw is done, but I haven’t seen that or any other progress, yet she has now opened commissions for both art and fursuits. Also please know that these are the artist's actually prices just prices she had for a sale to earn quick money for an emergency. https://www.dropbox.com/s/08f3uyen8d2bal5/Screenshot (25)_LI.jpg?dl=0 UPDATE: So I decided to ask for an update on the redraw. This is the response I got: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2gjwor6g8riwoza/Screenshot_20170809-225305.jpg?dl=0 I can only assumed she lied when she said she did the line art. Both annoyed and not really surprised. Reply I got today: https://www.dropbox.com/s/45zewd57geo117b/Screenshot (50).png?dl=0 So either she lied or she lost it like she said, but only ask for the refs after I asked about an update. Annoyed either way. FINAL UPDATE: So Senpai found the beware I made against her and a few hours later I received my art. Only with one thing. She saved the file at herestupidass. To that she tried to play it off as it just being a silly name and that she does it with all her files. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2pjl89wrokpcnzt/tumblr_oujziwuaC51tks4jlo1_400.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/amztjl4gw8aa3e2/20170812_205946.png?dl=0
  15. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/956264.html WHO: Remix Angel Dragon / Nightwolf Costumes WHERE: Facebook –business page apparently deleted; tags/links to business page are broken, did most business through personal page FurAffinity - http://www.furaffinity.net/user/nightwolfcostumes (business, has been cleared out and no submissions are in gallery) Furry Network https://beta.furrynetwork.com/nightwolf/ Twitter https://twitter.com/remix_dragon WHAT: Full digitigrade fursuit valued at over $1800 USD , fleece hat valued at $25 WHEN: Dec. 2014 (when first payment was sent) to present (suit was paid in full May 2015) Read below the cut EXPLAIN: I first commissioned Remix for a fleece hat of my Dutch Angel Dragon character back in September 2014. In December that same year she opened for fullsuit commissions so once again, after seeing her previous work decided to commission her. It was agreed upon that the fleece hat I had previously ordered would be sent along with the suit once it was done (however, I had never seen any shots of a WIP or even a finished hat). We agreed on a payment plan of 25% each month until the suit was paid off. January 2015 I sent her a payment of $450 USD(via Friends and Family to avoid the conversion fee, I was told -strike one on me) then mailed a DTD, a pair of shoes and a hand tracing. As soon as the next month rolled around I was messaged for the next round of payments, but I had to adult (to put it simply) and told her they may have to wait, in which I was then told if I didn’t pay I’d lose my commission spot but that she also wasn’t going to do that. I was able to pay her toward the end of February when things ironed out. Paid her again April 2015 and asked about a possible completion date of Anthrocon 2015. Was told she would start working in May after the last payment was sent. The last payment was sent in May 2015, and work began. We talked back and forth about furs and measurements. It was revealed that the suit would not be completed for AC ’15 but I told her I was fine waiting. September rolls around and we’re still waiting on fur. No other WIPs, such as foam work, were shown. She also asked to keep our conversations between her business page and myself instead of her personal one, but this transition never happened and we continued talking for another year on her personal page. Communication stopped Nov. 2015. After that I’d heard nothing from her again until April 2016. In the meantime she was posting other suit work and finished costumes, as well as sharing excitement over having a character of hers made by a popular maker. April 26 I am finally shown my first WIP picture: the handpaws. In May 2016 I received another WIP photo of the tail. After that I was told she couldn’t finish the bodysuit because my DTD had somehow fallen apart and was full of holes, thus requiring me to send and make another one. I didn’t hear anything for a couple months while the artist went to Eurofurence, despite seeing her post a redo of her own personal suit as well as more work. I messaged them August 20th to ask for updates and was told they were still settling in from the con and wanted another week. I reconfirmed sending a new DTD and was promised extras because of the wait. September 2016 I am notified that they received the DTD, but still no new WIPs. Finally, in October 2016 they send me an invite link to a telegram chat they had created to keep all their customers informed. This is the last time we spoke over Facebook messenger. After the move to Telegram I no longer received any updates regarding my suit, but the artist continued to show off work on other suits, her own suit being made by a popular maker and mention things going on in her home life. She mentions she will have four more hands in the studio to help her with suit work. November she posts another finished head and mentions she will change my sculpt to match that one- keep in mind I have yet to even see any WIP shots of a head at this point. Halfway through November she posts more suit updates but no mention of mine, just alludes that everything they have been working on will be shipped out. There's talk of having everything shipped in time for Christmas, yet still no mention of my commission. Updates in January are sporadic, she's posting that she's sick and disappears for days at a time or even a week. January 23rd she tells us things have gotten worse since she worked instead of bedrest so she's stopping for a while. February she lets us know more about her health, and because of this she is stopping all work, and no refunds are going to be given to anyone. She calls in another person to speak on her behalf and again states there will be no refunds, and to sympathize with her as it is a very difficult time for her, we have options, take them or leave them. I stated my case to this new person, first in the chat then in PM, explaining that while I understand the severity of the situation I can’t just walk away from that kind of money, especially where no other WIPs had been sent since May so I couldn’t even be sure the suit was that close to being finished. I even offered a partials refund of $1200 to cover the material costs and labor already put in and her “spokesperson” stated no, no refunds at all, and “this is the risk you take when commissioning”. They finally do agree on a $1200 refund, as a payment plan, and that they would ship me the parts finished and the remaining fur that I could then take to another maker. I was told I would get a track and trace (tracking number) when it shipped, and the first refund payment was due to start in April 2017. Towards the end of February I reached out to this person again for an update and was told they'd get back to me. I haven't heard from them since. It is now nearing May 2017, and I haven’t received a tracking number, my package, or even a cent of a refund payment. Inquiries to Remix herself are met with “I don’t have the money to refund you, I am ill,” and when asked about the package I am told her father shipped it and she would get it from him as soon as she could. I never have, and my messages are now going on ignored. The Telegram group for her business is now shut down and any business pages relating to Nightwolf Costumes are now wiped clean. Meanwhile, Remix posts actively on Twitter about her upcoming fursuit from a large maker, which as of this writing has been finished and is being shipped to her. She is also very active in a telegram chat for Dutch Angel Dragons, that I am also part of. I warned her about writing an artist’s beware if I wasn’t given the tracking number, and I have yet to get a response from her other than “I’m ill”, so here we go. I know I have a slim to none chance of ever seeing my full refund back, or even the fur. I know I shouldn’t have sent the money without an invoice, or without ticking Goods and Services. I learned the hard way, and I’m hoping others don’t make the same mistake I did. I'm posting this to not only warn people about what happens when invoices and paper trails aren't made, but to also stay away from this person, even if they get back in the business. PROOF: All aforementioned and linked screenshots. ADDING: At the beginning of May Remix reached out to me and asked for my email and phone number – she was referring me to a third party to get this resolved as soon as possible. As of this writing I have heard nothing from her or this third party. I reached out to her May 14th asking if she’d heard anything from that third party and I have heard nothing since. 5/26/2017-ADDING MORE: A rather lengthy response from the maker: here here here here here here here here here here here here I've also been called out on Twitter by Skypro herself, my name isn't used but it's passive agressive enough that I can figure out it;s about me. Note that not once in this entire beware have I ever said I'm insisting Remix finish building my suit. All I've asked for is my refund and the supplies to take my commission to a different maker. Proof is here. 5/27/2017 Woke up this morning to a messge from Remix, with photo proof she has shipped two boxes to me, and a refund via Paypal of $1,080 ($120 was witheld to pay for shipping). I had tried to be reasonable and suggest a payment plan again to make it easier on her but she refunded the full amount. I'd consider this mostly resolved, once I get the boxes in the mail and find what she sent is as she described (all the work she was able to finish, plus the remainder of the materials) I'd say this could be completely resolved. 6/8/17 I came home from work to find that two boxes had been delivered, but they required a signature to be turned over to me (they had been delivered at 9 am, I didn't get home till 6 and I live alone). I was away all weekend so I was only able to pick them up today. Frankly, I'm disappointed. I was told I would be getting handpaws, a tail, feetpaws, and a half sewn bodysuit, plus my fleece hat and materials to finish the suit. Instead I got no hat, handpaws that barely fit my hands despite the hand tracing I sent her, a pair of foamed feetpaws with only one showing the carving process, a tail that isn't even backed and closed up (basically unwearable), and a barely even sewn bodysuit, many pieces still have pins holding them together. I also received both DTDs back (one was cut up to make the fur patterns) and almost all the fur used to make her (I don't have the brown or the green used in the tail). I'm disappointed, largely because I was led to believe more work had been done than this when I agreed to a partial refund but also because any quotes to try to get this finished are going to be through the roof, there's still so much work to do.

Screencaps of comments will come shortly after. How/why the post was originally deleted is NOT the topic of this post. Please stay on topic of the Beware itself. Thank you. WHO: Zephyr The Floof (Customer of Mithacal Creatures) WHERE: Initial contact about customer wanting a commission was on Twitter @Mithacal WHAT: A custom made digitgrade fullsuit WHEN: Commission Date 12-24-16. Dispute filed 5-3-17. EXPLAIN: This customer approached us (Mithacal Creatures) on 12-24-16 to inquire about commissioning a realistic style fullsuit of her dragon character. After purchasing materials including a resin base which we had completed work in preparation for furring, she (Zephyr) changed her mind about what she wanted and asked that we change her suit to a toony style one. After some back and forth about the cost of additional materials (which she initially did not want to pay) she agreed to the additional $290 to cover new fur and toony base, eyes etc. Zephyr had been in frequent contact with us regarding the state of her commission as well as general conversation and was well aware of the production timeline and completion state of her commission when she suddenly and without notice filed a fraudulent non-receipt dispute on PayPal. We had initially agreed to a completion time in late 2017, which was pushed back to early 2018 (March at the latest) as a result of the style change. Zephyr made no effort to ask for a refund and had previously showed no complaint nor concern for her commission, in fact she had stated just the day before the dispute that she was looking forward to seeing it done... Following her dispute filing with PayPal, she ignored our attempts to contact her via text and Twitter. When she finally did answer us she said she "had an emergency" come up and said "I knew you wouldn't give me my money back" so filed a non-receipt dispute despite knowing full well that the project was not yet finished. She admits to this in fact, both to us and on her Twitter account. Her dispute had nothing to do with her being dissatisfied in any way with our work or communication, it had everything to do with finding the easiest way to get some fast cash. Knowing that we could not provide tracking numbers to PayPal a decision in her favor was almost guaranteed. She used PayPal's policies to her advantage to scam both us and PayPal, to the point of calling them and declaring that our dispute had "been settled amicably" and cancelling her claim. This effectively shut down the investigation into her account and review of our evidence that we had requested of PayPal. There was nothing "Amicable" about the settlement of the claim at all, as she has in fact stolen our time and labor put into her commission to date as well as the materials cost invested and blocked all attempts at communication. Additionally this buyer after using a "family emergency" as an excuse for needing money, she in fact immediately began commissioning a number of artists for new artwork of her characters as soon as the refund hit her PayPal account. Her behavior has been immature, fraudulent, and extremely disingenuous. Accept commissions at your own risk, especially given that just a month prior to her dispute she said she would never do such a thing and that it was "wrong" to do that to an artist when showing support to us following an issue with an unrelated customer. http://sta.sh/01bjus6wtj1s This is the buyers Twitter account following her blocking us from communicating with her following the dispute filing. http://sta.sh/21iujrp12kky?edit=1 These show the buyer asking for a basic quote and acknowledging the 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit required. http://sta.sh/01yob8jv6s4y Here is the buyer agreeing to an early 2018 completion time before sending the deposit of $1900. http://sta.sh/024shatfi0e9 This screenshot shows the buyer texting us the day before the dispute was filed. Everything seemed fine, then she finally answered us and said she was "asking for a refund" (Never asked, if forcing one through a PayPal chargeback is "asking" then someone needs to learn some serious communication skills...) due to a "serious family issue". She later spent this refund on more art. The "slander" she speaks of was simply a beware post on Twitter showing the exact same screenshots as those shown here. http://sta.sh/219jghos82qr?edit=1 This series of screenshots shows us and the buyer discussing the dispute and completion time which after showing her proof she admits was not until next year. http://sta.sh/02a13fp98aji This is the buyer showing support for us a month prior to filing a dispute when we had an unrelated issue with another buyer. She also shows intent to continue with her monthly payments for the remaining balance due, just days after sending her payment for April, the last one we received. http://sta.sh/2mu5glqiy9g?edit=1 Buyer on her Twitter telling someone else that we in fact had not been late completing her commission, this posted days after filing a PayPal dispute. http://sta.sh/21udk4q4y9ay?edit=1 These show Zephyr commissioning art on 5-10-17 following her "family emergency" and claiming a desperate need for money. Although they are very nice and I am a VERY patient person I am very unsatisfied with the updates I recieved. I believe I got one picture showing me the draft of the tail badge I ordered. (I ordered laminated headshot, tail badge, badge clips, lanyard.http://sta.sh/024y1yhi0v75 Please note in the screenshots a friend paid for me. Unfortunely, they paid through paypal friends and family. http://sta.sh/0a27gtna27m) Other than the one WIP picture to my knowledge I recieved nothing else. I would ask for updates every few weeks, (I lost our earlier messages on my other account - due to a Facebook sweep) and even then it was hard to get in contact with them due to their messages not working. http://sta.sh/01g74e4wxrs9 - September 18th, 2016, They had informed me they were beginning their commissions again as they had taken a break. This message had been sent to both this account and the other I was more active on at the time - I had answered on my lost account which is why there is no response here. (Started on last image ) February 15, 2017, I had poked him again since it was a while since I had last heard from him. He told me he had messaged me asking for my address but my account was down. Since they were ready to be shipped I had asked to see them, he told me he wasn't able to send them at that moment and will later but so far hasn't. http://sta.sh/01wzylghjlda / http://sta.sh/019ei49rbdfo - He took down my name and address to remind themselves to send it. http://sta.sh/02ajnw8rm5jw - By February 26th, I had yet to recieve anything in the mail so messaged him again asking, he hadn't as a friend had his sketchbook. After that, I had left him alone. (Same image) March 11th, I asked him when I should expect my items and that was when he told me he had already sent it out through regular mail that Tuesday. He let me know he'd keep an eye out on it, in case it was sent back to him. http://sta.sh/0woep2tb6el - March 19th, I still had yet to get anything in the mail so once again shot them a message, neither of us had gotten anything in the mail. http://sta.sh/028kricc326c - March 23rd, 24th, 29th and April 3rd, I've sent him messages only to be ignored by him. Aside from him telling me he mailed I have no way to prove it as I did not receive a tracking number or other information. So far, I haven't received a thing. I've gotten art from Germany and it didn't take this long. I've tried for the past few days to resolve this by refund or anything really. I have had to resorted to posting to their wall and commenting on posts they've made to get their attention. So far my comments have been deleted and unanswered. So, I've been tagging them in statuses to get them to respond. Their facebook chat log show them online and active often. http://sta.sh/02aakq50ik7c / http://sta.sh/04svxu7c2hl / http://sta.sh/0a8edb27udr / http://sta.sh/0220haaevn1v / http://sta.sh/0xhk7cmxy2w - All the attempts I've made to get in contact with him, the last time I've heard from him was April 19th only to be told he was busy and he would message me back. But, of course he never did. //Also, the beware I speak about was a facebook group I had been apart of. A friend of mine recommended here to me, we are both hoping it helps. On one of my statuses a friend of his came to defend him, http://sta.sh/026jljohd3j7 / http://sta.sh/09m9icukx6j / http://sta.sh/021xhr09zsas - They stated that if their friend was doing this there had to be a reason. So far, I don't see a reason as everything had been going well until they supposedly mailed out my items. PROOF: All images placed in one album - http://sta.sh/21jca6tqdai5?edit=1 At this point, I have to assume they're blatantly ignoring me and I won't be seeing anything from this transaction. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do, that would be great. Thank you for your time and have a good day.
  18. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/952805.html WHO: Tahmuz WHERE: http://tahmuz.deviantart.com WHAT: Digital Bust commission WHEN: Nov 27th, 2016 - Present day EXPLAIN: On Nov 27th, 2016, I decided to commission this artist. I had been watching them for a while now and had some points to spare, so I bought a slot, as you can see here. Tahmuz always seemed to be polite and kind and always compeleted commission with a consistant quality so I didn't feel suspiscious or anxious about it. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I very politely asked on their profile how my commission was going. I understand that commissions can take a while to complete due to life. All I was wanting was a "yes, Im working on it" or a "No, I havent reached yours on my list yet due to the other slot holders", just something along those lines. I was ignored and more recently my comment was hidden. I dont have a link nor a screen cap of my co mment due to the fact the comment was hidden. I didn't think much of it, I thought they simply didn't like those kinds of comments, but later another Deviant who-shall-not-be-named asked me if Tahmuz had answered and if not, then to send a note to them to which I did.. It appeared that none of the people who had commissioned tahmuz for their busts had received their commission nor been able to contact Tahmuz for a refund. There are multiple comments regarding commissions and asking when they would be finished on some of the art in their gallery (too many third-party people for me to link). These people were all ignored but Tahmuz proceeded to reply to comments unrelated to commissions. Eventually on Mar 16th, 2017, I decided to try and send a note to request for a refund. Of course, they didnt reply. A while later---in response to some journals that people had made, calling them a scammer---Tahmuz uploaded this journal, saying that they did not have the internet to upload. They also mentioned that they always do refunds but to my knowledge, none of those asking for refunds have received one yet. I do not understand why Tahmuz took commissions when they knew they wouldnt be able to upload them. The most recent activity I have seen from tahmuz is this comment and this image, both uploaded on Jan 12, 2017. The more recent drawings they have uploaded have been personal projects, and though I do not think it is bad to work on personal projects, the fact that they have been working on those rather than working on their todo list is irresponsible. The most recent commission they have finished is from Nov 21st, 2016. They also opened more commissions eventhough their first batch had not been completed yet. Since these updates, Tahmuz seemed to disappear from DA completely from what I could see. They havent answered any comments nor uploaded anything. I know that 300 points for a commission is not a lot, but that has accumulated over a large group of deviants, some who have even been waiting since the summer of 2016. I apologize for the lengthy post, however I do not wish for more Deviants to be misled like I was.

There have been multiple accounts of them telling me they would ship it without actually doing so. I would have to constantly ask for updates before they would tell me that they haven't even mailed it. I had given them 2 deadlines (Anthrocon and Christmas), both of which were missed. It has been a year now, still no feet or update on the situation. (Later screenshots, like the Christmas deadline, I no longer have due to my first account being disabled, without facebook allowing me to gain it back.) At one point, I had made an advice post on my account (not a beware) shown only to facebook friends asking for their intake of what I should do. A friend of mine also had a trade with Georgina, and canceled it once they heard of my situation. Georgina then responded in a bit of an outburst. PROOF: -Proof of Georgina posting online, instead of responding to my messages -Extra screens showing their approval of my side of the trade and proof that I sent it is here
  20. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/949564.html WHO: purqleguy WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/purqleguy WHAT: Fursuit head, one time payment. WHEN: April of 2016 was when I bought the head, the deadline was supposed to be July 2016. At the time of writing this (3/24/17) it has been almost a full year past the deadline, and he will not respond to my emails asking about the tracking number of the package he told me he shipped (he said he shipped it a month ago.) PROOF: Emails: http://imgur.com/a/txDnh Paypal transaction: http://imgur.com/x5G4jo5 I don't remember why I sent it in two parts, but it was sent on the same day as you can see. EXPLAIN: Long story so I put it under the cut In early 2016 I had plans to go to Youmacon with a friend that year. So I was on the hunt for a fursuit head commission that I could wear to the con. A big problem I was running into was that at the time I was 17 and a lot of people didn't accept fursuit commissions from minors. I was turning 18 next month, and was hoping I could use that to hold a spot with someone. I found a commission ad for purqleguy on furaffinity, that he was selling cheap heads as an emergency money maker. I like helping people out, they were cheap and I liked his work, so I bought one. (Initial emails: http://imgur.com/onQQ1kU http://imgur.com/v2yLQUO (a big chunk of the convo has been cut out here, since it was mostly just talk of what material I wanted the horns to be made out of and isn't relevent to my case.) The initial agreement was I wanted it completed by early July. He told me that was doable, and he thought he could have it done even earlier than that. (Email: http://imgur.com/8Ca1JUy ) I got one update ten days after the payment (April 30th) showing me the completed face of the foam base. ( http://imgur.com/0LsBJAh ) After that the only updates I got were from me emailing him to ask. ( Email, note the date, continuing to talk about this in the next paragraph: http://imgur.com/vXC831l ) At the very begining of July, I sent him an email, hoping to confirm that he would have it finished by my deadline. He did not send me photos, but he told me he hadn't begun furring it. Keep in mind, I had not heard from him in a month, and seeing as he sent no photos and said he was sewing the fur pieces, I am to assume he had not made any progress on my head since I last contacted him. He promised to send photos the following day, he did not. His excuse was he went on a mountain trip, (for over a month?) and that's why he wasn't able to contact me. I didn't get on him about this but he should have told me he was going to be away and would not be able to update me. I told him as long as I got it by October then I would be fine with not meeting my July deadline. A few weeks later, I contacted him again, asking if he could send some images of the fur pieces he supposedly cut so I knew he wasn't lying. (Emails: http://imgur.com/jrmTg8d ) He did not reply until early the next month (August) with update pictures. Once again, he told me that a huge thing came up he couldn't work on my suit. He did not tell me that this was happening, this is the second time he had to pause on my suit because of life events without telling me. At this time I told him I was extending the deadline, as I had cancelled my Youmacon trip. (Email: http://imgur.com/8w63Gwg ) For a little bit after that, he did start updating me regularly, and then suddenly stopped without warning. Again. (Emails he sent me, I didn't screenshot the emails themself since it wasn't really much relevent to my case. Just some progress photos and comments on them. These are mostly to prove the dates and that he sent them. http://imgur.com/Z0k4iNL ) He stopped sending me emails until late December, I asked him for an update because the last he checked with me he told me he was almost done. (Email: http://imgur.com/nRJNrrI ) He told me he was going to put in the piercings and then he'd ship it off to me. I did not get any correspondance until February. I sent another email asking for an update, and his exact respond was "[your head] has been packed up for a while now!". He had my head packed up, I'm estimating for at least a month, and he did not ship it off to me. He told me he shipped it February 23rd. (This is the last email he has sent to me, so there won't be any more embedded in this post: http://imgur.com/fvTwOBD ) It has been a full month since he told me he shipped it (I am writing this on March 24th), and I have not recieved the head. He did not give me a tracking number, he did not give me an official confirmation he shipped it. On the 22nd he told me he was going to ship it out the following day, he did not confirm he shipped it but I was hoping he did. I don't know where to fit this into my story here, but it should also be mentioned some updates he didn't even send to me. I had to dig up his instagram account and looked at some photos he had posted to there (ones he didn't send me). I have sent 2 emails at this point asking for a tracking number, in the 2nd I said if he didn't give me a tracking number I was demanding a full refund. I was willing to give this maker a little bit of leeway since he told me he was a minor (didn't give me an exact age, I was guessing 16-17), but this is unacceptable. Do not buy from this artist until maybe he learns his lesson and gives some better customer service. Until then I'm hoping to get that refund I'm demanding and am going to a more high-profile maker with some good reviews. UPDATE; After having to hunt down this guy's tumblr to send him a message asking what was up I FINALLY recieved the head. And the condition is terrible. Here's a photo of the head, it looks fine from the outside but the construction is horrendous. http://imgur.com/Y1NGstB From the outside, notice; no piercings. My character has a nosering and two ear piercings. I even TOLD the maker how he could make the piercings, and he said he couldn't find green paint and I said he could cover it in fleece if he had to. I was very lenient with that because I know green spray paint exists online, but at this point I was tired of fighting with him so I was letting him do whatever he wanted. He didn't even do that, he just put no piercings in at all. From the construction; god where do I even start? I'm guessing he used matrice's head making method, but he did not ventilate the head AT ALL. The mouth is open and that's about it. The foam piece between the head base and the muzzle wasn't cut out, as from my understanding is standard for foam heads, and I had to cut it out myself. He was expecting me to get all my ventilation from the eyes and slightly open mouth, in an all black foam head. The horns don't look anything like I wanted them too, I gave him a link to an etsy store (I believe it was DVC) who had resin ram horns that looked how I wanted but he said he didn't want to use them. There isn't even ridge lines (I'm not sure what the lines on ram horns are called, sorry) on the horns. It's super easy to embrodier something like that on, he didn't even bother. The pink hair piece is tiny, and isn't even pinned down in anyway. If I move too much it flips up. My character I asked some artistic liberties to be taken since my actual fursona has his hair covering his eyes, but I need to see so I asked to make it a little smaller.but not THAT small! The jaw looked like it was about to rip off when I got it, and I had to put some more hot glue in it as I was paranoid it would fall off. And the neck mane has foam under it to make it stand up, which isn't that bad in itself, except he didn't cover the bottom with fabric or more fur, the foam is on display whenever I move my head. I will admit the eyes could've been a little bit tricky to work with, since I asked for slit pupil goat eyes, but the vision isn't very good. The pupils aren't even placed where they would be over my actual eyes, and they're pretty thin. I waited almost a year for a horribly made head. I am not happy. I basically wasted 300$, since I don't want to talk to this guy anymore to get a refund. I'm going to a more reputable maker to get a new head since I'm in the market for a bodysuit anyway.

This is her IMVU account, the products were to be made and delivered through IMVU. IMVU for Dao My IMVU account, where the products were supposed to be delivered WHAT: This was for a custom furset for IMVU. Custom AdSkin, kini, ears, tail, hands, feet products. I sent her my reference and all of the mesh links she would need for the set. She said $30 was fine, I sent her $32. (As I normally send a couple of dollars more to cover fees) Here are the screenshots of our conversation that took place via Facebook. Dao1, Dao2, Dao3, Dao4 WHEN: I first contacted her December 5th of 2016, December 6th I canceled my order and was blocked, December 7th I filed a claim with PayPal, December 15th I received the email saying she provided tracking information and the case was closed, December 17th first appeal denied, the last email I received by from PayPal was March 23rd of 2017 saying that my second appeal complete with screenshots of my IMVU account was denied. PROOF: PayPal Case, First Appeal, Second Appeal, Blocked FB, Friends Only on IMVU, MY IMVU INV - SEARCHED, IMVU STAFF CONFIRMED NOTHING WAS SENT FROM DAO EXPLAIN: Well I posted an ad in one of the furry Facebook groups asking if anyone would be up to making a furset for me on IMVU. Dao (Facebook name omitted for privacy) messaged me via Facebook messenger and I sent her the mesh links and the cash for what I wanted. I had a personal emergency come up and needed to cancel. I felt bad for having to cancel, but I thought since she stated she had another set to finish before she got to mine maybe it would not be too bad. To my surprise, she tells me she finished the skin and already submitted it to the IMVU catalog without even showing me first. I was a little confused by that but decided if she could just show me proof/show me the skin then I would let her keep a portion for her work/time. That's when things got odd because she told me I was really putting her in a bind and that PayPal was where she paid her bills? I did not find that to be appropriate or relevant but it was right after she said she would "get that processed" for me that she blocked me. I tried typing out a response and I got the little pop-up message telling me "this person is not receiving message from you at this time". I honestly took that as a big red flag and consulted with my friends and family on what I should do/did. I waited a day for the refund/reversal and then just went to PayPal to make a claim. It was going to be a dispute but at the time since she had me blocked I thought a claim would be best. I waited until the 15th, that's when I got an email back from PayPal telling me the case had been closed because the seller (Dao) had provided tracking info and confirmed I received my merchandise. I was confused and very frustrated, it was a digital product I ordered. How could they have taken tracking info from her and say it's confirmed when I have proof showing I have nothing in my account from her? I decided to call again and appeal my case. It was shot down almost immediately, on the 17th they had denied my first appeal stating that the seller had provided "compelling information" for my case in their favor. In truth, I gave up for awhile. I figured she just won and I was never getting anything back. I just got ripped off for $32 for nothing. Then a few days ago I had to file a dispute for a totally different issue and the supervisor I spoke with said I should send more screenshots and appeal again. I didn't even know that was an option but I figured I might as well. After another hour or so on the phone the supervisor told me she would contact me directly. Well, that never happened and some representative named "Bob" sent me an email yesterday telling me my screenshots did not prove anything. So I guess I'm just posting this here in hopes to either have this resolved or at the very least share my experience with you guys/potential customers of hers.

WHAT: $150 MFF pick-up badge WHEN: Payment was sent on the 11th of November, - now, March 3rd. PROOF: All commission interactions : http://imgur.com/a/7VZlW Payment proof : http://imgur.com/a/LLcVd EXPLAIN: I commissioned Vani/Ash in early November for a badge that was supposed to be completed for MFF 2016 pick up . I was very excited to commission this artist, and sent the $155 (USD) right away. Once payment was made I was promised a WIP within the next few days (Proof of payment recieved, and saying I would recieve a wip shortly. http://imgur.com/YVrFzi9), I did not recieve a wip until the end of the month, after asking them for an update. (the 30th of November) After recieving a wip, I approved the sketch. I didn't hear anything up until the convention (even tho i send muitple DMs at the con) and actually approached her table. At their table they had nothing to show me (did not see the original sketch, or anything), and said they would be working on it that night, and it would most likely be done the next day. (Sunday) I did not hear anything from them until they was leaving the con. (Messages sent at the con, and afterwards. http://imgur.com/a/eQDqm) After the con I did not recieve any WIPs, or anything past the sketch point. We agreed to change the character on the 19th of December (character change, http://imgur.com/a/OAvZj) . I did not hear anything from them at all after this. I DMed them on twitter mutiple times from the 16th-22nd of Februrary and didn't hear anything back until threatening to file a charge back. They replied, with a several paragraph explaination of the things going on in their life, but no actual update on when the art would be finished, or what state badge was in. To this I responded that I would just like my money back, and would be going forward with a charge back. They asked that I wait a week for them to refund me, and that they would be posting adopts to make the money to refund me. Durring this week they did not post anything on their account (besides an astrology bot.). I also did not hear anything from them, or any sort of update on what they were doing. I proceeded with filing a paypal claim, and I'm just waiting to hear back for paypal. (contact with vani from the 16th - march 2nd, http://imgur.com/a/3sFAM ) I cannot reccomend this artist to anyone. unfortunately they are not very reliable and they does not stick to their word, or communicate with her customers. I am very disapointed, and while their work is gorgeous, please be warry of commissioning this artist. I wish I had seen their other bewares before commissioning them.

WHEN: First payment was made to Keryu on 7/15/15. I completed my payment plan (Paid in full) on 11/7/15. I did not receive my suit until 2/28/17 PROOF: http://sta.sh/0fch8p7k9cm All payments including shipping EXPLAIN: Before getting my suit: The biggest problem I experienced with WDW was their lack of professionalism, time management, and manipulation via contract. WDW had a contract that protects her very well but does not at all hold her accountable to her end of business. Not only did she not take deadlines but she did NOT stick to her public queue. I commissioned Keryu back in Mid 2015 for a fullsuit(with additional padding in the tail, arms and legs). I often had problems with her ignoring or just not replying to emails. I eventually had to contact her on Twitter publicly to get her to respond. From then on we talked mostly over twitter. I only got updates from her if I asked her directly and my messages would go unanswered for days if not weeks despite her activity on twitter. I confronted her in Decemberof 2015 about her lack of communication( http://sta.sh/01ehajotfho9 ). She apologized and for a short time was better. However things got really spotty again maybe a month later. She was hardly showing progress and I had to poke at her a lot to see anything or know where she was at. In October of 2016 I confronted her again about the lack of work she was doing on her queue and the fact she was putting out premades more often than suits on her queue(http://sta.sh/0t5egnpnyh6 , http://sta.sh/0awufn79jq , http://sta.sh/02a4hdnoxwfp , http://sta.sh/01kxj6w3zvha , http://sta.sh/0tpxdgasxw1 , http://sta.sh/029rl5mp7po5 , http://sta.sh/01tjnclpu6rj ). The premades were incredibly frustrating to me as she was making little to no progress on my suit but was making multiple premades during the time she was supposed to work on mine(http://sta.sh/2b0lsxb0dga ). She snapped back at me and we went back and forth for a short bit before she said she would send me a free head mount for the wall. I said no but offered to commission a second tail because she had not made the tail the way we had originally agreed. She did not respond. I had to message her again later on for updates. In late january I asked where she was at on my suit and was told she had finished it but hadn’t told me yet(http://sta.sh/0iysrwc7rwx ). She then told me she would ship the suit out on 2/14/17. She also told me that the suit would arrive in time for an event I had on the 25th(http://sta.sh/02fwjvo5xevl http://sta.sh/017x9xkfjsez http://sta.sh/0s1q4mf86w9 http://sta.sh/077ih0wftoq).However she then didn’t ship until the 21st and the suit did not arrive until the 28th. She told me she had misplaced my quote forum and asked me to find it in my emails. She eventually found it(http://sta.sh/0itfq51jvwm ). She disappeared for a few days without saying anything about why. It had been 20 days since I knew of the completion of my suit and she wasn’t shipping it. I waited about 18 Months to get my fursuit and it still came with problems. Upon receiving my suit I knew not everything could be perfect but I was still incredibly disappointed with the things undone despite her taking so much time. I ordered large stompy feet, she left all of the inside foam exposed and the ankle area does not go up high enough for the leg to stay down over it ( http://sta.sh/01tj44b4btih ). The paws are large like requested but there is no foam inside to keep its shape or keep the paw from sliding down and off the hand completely( http://sta.sh/021ueii3k1c8 ).. The one area there is foam is around the claws which is left completely open. The head is too big and moves around a lot, I find myself touching the muzzle a lot just to keep it in place while I’m moving. The holes for the tail are not reinforced in anyway, they are just cuts in the fabric which is very worrisome especially with the size of my tail. The tail is a bit lumpy in areas and the foam doesn’t fill all areas properly, instead it slides around a bit, not stuffed enough. http://sta.sh/0258ef8joryb fullsuit arrived.
  24. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/944483.html WHO: Cuttleb0ne WHERE: twitter.com/cuttleb0ne WHAT: A plantigrade fullbody fursuit WHEN: Quote sent 12/28/15 Down payment sent 01/13/16 PROOF: Proof of all current payment Only wip I've ever recieved EXPLAIN: Cuttlebone quoted me $2,500 for a fursuit of my saber character with a payment plan of a 30% down payment and the remaining 70% due on completion. I was very excited for this commission so I sent the down payment on the 13th and told him that my only deadline was this coming MFF in December, expecting that this would be plenty of time to get things done. For a while things were going smoothly, I sent my DTD and some extra payments because I was nervous about making sure I could pay him all off on time, since I wasn't quite sure when he would be complete. I would ask for updates periodically, as there hadn't been any progress on the suit other than him sending me a picture of fur samples in June. He suddenly stopped responding to my inquiries from September to November link . When I finally got an update (no progress) I told him I didn't mind if just a partial were done by MFF, trying not to cause stress. He did not respond again until the weekend of MFF, telling me he had no progress, but was going to give me a schedule of when the parts would be done, hoping to finish the suit before the end of the year, I never got that schedule link . I asked for another update on January 12th and got no response, noticing that he was active on twitter I got a little flustered and sent a message saying that I was tired of having to fish for updates and that if he didn't want to do business with me anymore to let me know and we would talk about refunding. We agreed to continue the commission , but I stated that I would need weekly updates even if no progress had been made. He complied for about a week until I got no response from Jan 23rd to Feb 12th link and I had to threaten an AB and Paypal chargeback to get him to respond. I have currently been waiting since the 18th for a reply from him link . In conclusion, do not commission this maker if you don't want to have to threaten an AB to get a response. UPDATE 02/28 After letting him know about this AB and a dispute on one of my older payments (since it was the last day I could do it), along with firmly asking for a refund when I had previously asked him to decide whether he wanted to refund or continue, he replied and apologized for the unpleasant experience I had. He said he was unable to work on the suit due to not having access to materials. I confronted him about some suspicions I had that he was making premade suits, and he confirmed, stating that they were to refund other customers (and myself now). Currently I am waiting for a payment plan for the refund.
  25. https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/944093.html WHO: Mew / Xionica (fursuit character name) WHERE: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/mew | https://www.furaffinity.net/user/xionica/ WHAT: Fursuit partial (being resold) - fursuit shown on their Xionica page. WHEN: Around March / April 2016 is when I first paid on it. July 9th was my last payment. PROOF: Everything is chronologically placed in my dropbox but I'll also post the links chronologically through the explanation as well. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7obu4yppo7mpeoc/AABEqW-37KC12Re0dkVVD1eDa?dl=0 Proof that Mew and Xionica are the same person: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r09u3mcg7kz3df4/proofxionica1.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qcv6ag4prt7ssy/proofxionica1-2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/od0mn2v4b0gwu4t/proofxionica2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/8w0zjqsaksgoeh6/proofxionica3.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/4glw9wo9b0zb8bp/proofxionica4.png?dl=0 She sent me art of the character that wasn't even posted on Xionica's account. She said that's where the fursuit was hosted and that she would sell account, char art, and the FurAffinity profile along with purchase. This proof shows that I made payments on it and that it was to her paypal she specified: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bvs314m94rqpr26/proof1.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ya9g567bal6x32x/proof2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/zffc0bfpv3o68x1/proof3.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5yz7egwakzzfu2/proof4.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/gbdp8rktycbmpot/proof8.png?dl=0 - This was my final payment. EXPLAIN: I was scammed out of 107$ on a fursuit partial, being sold to me by Mew The story behind this: Originally I agreed to buy this fursuit partial from this person that I considered a friend because I wanted to help them out with bills + the design was VERY well detailed for only 500$ + extra art included. You can see the fursuit in question on her Xionica account. This was back before I had a job, having no means to pay for this fursuit but Mew told me I could do it if I just posted commissions / adopts / etc and eventually it would pile up to equal 500$. Every payment for the commissions was sent directly to Mew through her paypal email. It was to avoid paying a double fee for paypal. She was very adamant about making sure I paid her buyer's fee for her which is against Paypal's TOS but I thought since she was my friend it was okay. Because of this, most of my payments are either small increments of 5-20$ or were sent directly via commissioners to avoid taking so much out of fees. In total, from my actual paypal, I only sent her 9$ from my own account. This is an image showing she was calculating the fees she was receiving from my payments into the total purchase: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p7ubkcyszn826tx/proof7.png?dl=0 - "I'll let you know your total once I see the fees" That's when all the shit started happening in my life. Lots of my adopts and commissions wouldn't sell, highschool graduation, college, then medical stuff and I lost my job 2-3 months after being hired so now I'm disabled. But I always kept her updated to let her know what was happening and that I was just going through a rough patch in my life. https://www.dropbox.com/s/723gvbl09uhnjhg/proof9.png?dl=0 - as we were friends and I was helping her out because she needed money for bills, I thought she would understand. But then she sent me a message on Skype, January 30th of this year - saying it had been a YEAR since I paid.. which was a flat out lie, the last payment was 7 months ago on the proof images of 107$. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7oahsay2cmjxg9v/proof11.png?dl=0 She sent that to my skype probably knowing I was having skype issues because I talked about it often via statuses and I hadn't been online in forever (and MIA due to medical stuff) because I just couldn't sign on. At least 2 months of inactivity via my new skype. Plus she added my new skype from my status that told people my old skype wasn't working. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gtwae9im4w4dnx7/proof10.png?dl=0 She didn't bother to message me on FA or Toyhou.se or try to get into contact with me, choosing the most convenient way for her not to get a response. About 4 days after that message, I remembered about the partial and contacted her on Toyhou.se to let her know I was still interested. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1a0wd49julhef9w/proof12.png?dl=0 I asked if she had discord. It was obvious I didn't see her skype message at this time. Instead of telling me THERE about the fact that she wanted to resell the fursuit, she just curtly said "No, I do not." And tried to cut off all communication. https://www.dropbox.com/s/g627j3bphjymkq9/proof13.png?dl=0 She never responded to my second note where I said I would try to get skype working and that I really wanted to discuss the fursuit payment. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qof5t18qf9g42ex/proof14.png?dl=0 She read it but never responded. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0e0ik0yrtzta7ed/readnote2.png?dl=0 So I finally got Skype working today and what do you know? I stumble upon the message. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z2runvyncuqyqw6/proof15.png?dl=0 So I responded asking her to refund my 107$ payment if she was going to resell the fursuit, since I'm not getting my product. NO WHERE in our conversations was a deadline mentioned where I had to pay in full by, no downpayment agreed to.. it was just one friend slowly inching towards their goal to help another friend and to buy a fursuit. And guess what? SHE UNFRIENDS ME ON SKYPE 30 MIN LATER, as you can see by the "messaging disabled" on the bottom of that screencap. Perplexed, I messaged her on FA, telling her that I WILL force refund the payments or sue her over this matter. You can't just take 107$ of my money and run off with it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qmcmv7y636wl81k/proof16.png?dl=0 I also suggested that if she didn't have the money to pay, she could trade me a character I saw on her Toyhou.se that would be worth the price (plus she was selling it anyways) and I could come to an agreement after that, because it was some form of product. She read that never responded, has been active uploading art so I'm done. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2a8pdbnvrtjiuhd/readnote1.png?dl=0 So after this TL;DR.. Mew is a scammer. She took 107$ of my money that was put down for a fursuit, and she ran off with it. She refuses to respond to me so it's clear I have to take this matter into my own hands with the public. I'm gonna post this in hopes that she'll never be able to scam anyone else out of their money again and so that maybe, just maybe she'll give me back my money or gives me something of equal value.. because I don't think this will settle well with a paypal dispute, even with the proof images from skype because all the money was sent directly from my commission / adopt buyers.
