Since watching Dirt-chomp on FA I've purchased 6 busts for $10 each prior to this debacle and everything has been great. The quality of the work and timely manner had me coming back to purchase a YCH and a discount couples bust in July 2013.

Month by month passed and I didn't bother reminding her until march 14th the next year. No reply. Tried her DA account at the same time. No reply. Tumblr account. No reply. At this point I simply gave up until I found her twitter and twitch handle. Joined a stream and at the mention of my name she shut the stream down.

Someone sent me a link to her tumblr account and once again, no reply. At this point I gave up until I found their twitter and twitch handle. Found her streaming in twitch and tried talking to her there but the moment I mentioned my name she shut the stream down. I also messaged her on twitch. I found her on Instagram and posted on her latest submission that I've been trying to get in contact with her and at this point, I was pretty darn frustrated being 5 years and $105 usd out of pocket so I threatened to take it to artist beware. Needless to say she deleted my comments.

While waiting for my art she has been actively taking in commissions from other people and doing works for them as you can see on twitter and Instagram as well as tumblr for some older stuff. As a last ditch effort I also contacted the studio where she works at.

She is being very unprofessional ignoring you and not issuing a refund. The beware is well reserved.

You mentioned you contacted her at her workplace as a last resort, and that is troubling to me. I don't think that was appropriate to contact her at her work.

I agree, it's nothing to do with her job and that is a pretty creepy move by the person posting the beware. However, I do feel for them and she's most definitely in the wrong by dodging their attempts at contact - if after all else fails, and she can't be contacted on any of her social media accounts after 5 years I don't think OP will get a resolution.

Um, no. I emailed the work. I didn't actually rock up at her work, pretty sure we're in a different country and not to sound mean or anything, but it's $105 and I had exhausted every other avenue.

I understood it to be you didn't physically show up there.

I think we will simply have to disagree about whether it was appropriate or not. I don't think it's right to contact someone at their workplace, period. You're disrupting their work day and risk getting them in trouble with their boss.  A lot of companies monitor employee e-mails.

As far as other avenues, I would suggest filing an Internet Crimes Complaint.  Post on sites like Artist Beware, and try Paypal again. File support tickets on FA and let DA know that one of their senior members scammed you.

No, I agree. In hindsight I let my emotions get the better of me. I have other artists that have scammed me but Dirt-Chomp sticks simply because she's taking commissions and uploading to tumblr. It is infuriating and she's had an artist beware previously and had it resolved. I guess I just waited too late to get mine out there.
