https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/799954.html WHO: When I commissioner her, she was under the username Paint on FA. She's also been Skink on Weasyl and most recently is Cockatrice on Flight Rising. WHERE: I originally commissioner her over a stream while she was still doing business out of FA. http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=view&tab=userpage&id=18876 is their userpage now, on the right under 'Recent Forum Activity' you can find their most recent commission journals. WHAT: I commissioned her January 19th 2013 for $110 worth of pay what you want commissions, to be divided into two images. A few months later, I commissioned her again for $30 colored sketch. (exact date not known because I paid for it over some sort of funding website and can't seem to find it on my paypal although I remember paying and I am down on her commission spreadsheet for this commission. You can find the spreadsheet here http://oi57.tinypic.com/15z5a46.jpg my commissions are near the top and bottom. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak6G1XPK44mudFNHWW83ODhYTmNsVkpNLWN5aE5RTmc#gid=0 this is the actual link to the google docs of the commission spreadsheet.) WHEN: I paid her January 19th, 2013. You can ready about what has happened from then up to this update post here http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/766364.html PROOF: http://oi62.tinypic.com/ixfkus.jpg screenshot of my payment for the original $110. EXPLAIN: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/766364.html The EXPLAIN: section here will cover what has happened up to this point, but there isn't much to report on.. which is why I think this update is necessary. Despite being active once more on Tumblr and actively taking commissions on Flight Rising, I still have not recieved any contact from Skink/Cockatrice. And no wonder, you see later she purposefully turned off what appear to be all incoming messages from people she does not herself follow on Tumblr. http://lollipopatrice.tumblr.com/ here is her tumblr, so you can see how active she still is. http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=mb&board=skin&id=1030735 here's a link to a forum post where you can see she is offering commissions for Flight Rising things (don't quite understand the game fully) for $5, $10-20, and $15-25. http://lollipopatrice.tumblr.com/post/97124492225 here is a tumblr post where she claims her 'money troubles are alleviated' and says in the same post she can no longer see any asks sent to her, nor see notifications from someone if she isn't following them. It's fantastic that she no longer has any money troubles, however I don't see what the reason is then to continue to ignore customers who want a refund for something they paid for in 2013. The point of this update post is to warn/alert people to this artists's continued activity on Flight Rising, despite still owing money to past commissioners from over a year ago.

May 14, 2014 https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/766364.html I have this marked as adult because some of the stuff on her commission spreadsheet is for adult commissions. WHO: Skink/Paint. She no longer goes by Paint, but her other two bewares are under that name. I think this beware should be added under that name for her, as well as Skink since it is what she now goes by. WHERE: I commissioned her over FA on Paint, but she is active here- https://www.weasyl.com/~skink WHAT: I commissioned her January 19th 2013 for $110 worth of pay what you want commissions, to be divided into two images. A few months later, I commissioned her again for $30 colored sketch. (exact date not known because I paid for it over some sort of funding website and can't seem to find it on my paypal although I remember paying and I am down on her commission spreadsheet for this commission. See the spreadsheet later). WHEN: I made the first payment to her on January 19th 2013. She was fine in keeping contact with me whenever I sent her a note. The last reply I've heard from her in note form was on January 21st 2014. After that date she has not replied to any of my messages regarding the commissions. I wouldn't be so concerned, however she opened commissions March 29th and did finish a handful of these new commissions, posting them to Weasyl while I continued to receive no reply to my messages. PROOF: The initial commission agreement for the $110 commission took place over stream so I don't have a screenshot of my asking and her saying yes, however here is a screenshot of my paypal payment of $110 to her as well as screenshots of my name and commissions on her queue. As stated before, the colored sketch was commissioned over a funding website that I cannot remember, but that commission is on her queue as well. The payment- http://oi62.tinypic.com/ixfkus.jpg The queue- http://oi57.tinypic.com/15z5a46.jpg my commissions are near the top and bottom. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak6G1XPK44mudFNHWW83ODhYTmNsVkpNLWN5aE5RTmc#gid=0 this is the actual link to the google docs of the commission spreadsheet. EXPLAIN: I like Skink's style, enjoy how she draws my characters, so in the past I commissioned her as much as I possibly could. Until this incident she has been quick to deliver the artwork, so I didn't hesitate to pay her the $110 for these particular commissions, assuming that I'd get the work done pretty quickly, as it had been done before. It took her a little longer than usual, but it didn't bother me. She kept her watchers updated with journals about rough going-ons at her job, things that would normally delay commissions. Understandable. I sent her the occasional message for updates, but mostly just kept up with her journals, which stated what was going on with her life. It wasn't really until in January, the ~1 year anniversary of my paying her the initial $110, that I began messaging her more frequently about the commissions. The first note I sent was amiable, just asking what's up, and she replied with reasons why there had been further delay. The reasons were a little personal so I'm not posting the screenshots, but this series of notes wasn't an issue for me because she did reply and let me know that she would be telling me when my commissions were up for being worked on. I'm happy. My next note was a little over a week later. http://oi57.tinypic.com/dfeici.jpg It proposes a deadline and asks if she can get back to me if that date doesn't work for her. I receive no reply. She opens up for new commissions March 29th https://www.weasyl.com/journal/45742/daily-color-sketch-commissions-plush-and-charms Her old queue shows no signs of being worked on. April 1st I send another note. http://oi58.tinypic.com/2z68t4y.jpg Just reminding her. Still no reply. The same day I send her a note about a commissioner she was having trouble with that I had had troubles with in the past as well, and she answers it promptly. Granted I didn't send it to her for any reason than to talk to her about that commissioner, but I still am surprised that she answers the note right away. This is very frustrating for me to hear /nothing/ back from an artist about the commissions I paid for, who I can see is still being active at this point, from her Weasyl and Tumblr. On Tumblr I send her a message asking her to check her Weasyl notes. I send another note April 7th which is basically a repeat of my April 1st note. Finally, I sent this note April 30th http://oi62.tinypic.com/b4jjgk.jpg I guess in my Tumblr message or some other means I asked for simply a refund, because that's what I say. I don't have a record of that first message asking for a refund though. Honestly by the point of April 30th though even if I hadn't asked for one before, I wanted a refund. Since then I have attempted to contact her over AIM to no avail. When I try to send her a message over AIM it tells me that she doesn't receive offline messages and when I do manage to get a message to go through(?) (it appears as if she's invisible, but I don't get the 'no offline messages' message) there is still no reply. I want my money back, but I am getting no replies at all from her. If nothing else I can write up this artist beware to add to the others on the site which seem to be about this same situation. I wasn't worried about her giving reasons to delay the commissions because everyone runs into bad situations where they can't do commissions as fast as they'd like... but the fact that she opened up commissions for a brief time in March with the promise of using them as warm ups for her main queue, finished some of the commissions without even an update on the main queue, coupled with the other artist bewares compelled me to finally write this up. Skink is talented, but if this is repeat behavior from her then beware this artist.

Nov. 9th, 2012 at 12:44 AM annoyeddragon It should be noted that this beware is similar to one that already exists on Paint, posted by Acroth. http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/tag/artist-paint As you can see from this old journal by Paint. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2950583/ We're both on there (I'm ADF). The only difference is Acroth had the sense to go after a refund opportunity were as I stuck around longer, naively thinking if I was just patient and showed understanding during delays; that Paint would either do my art or refund me eventually. But here I am months on, still waiting. I stuck with her all this time and I'm afraid to say I am no better off for it 😞 I wish I didn't have to post this, but I haven't much choice given the present situation. Who: Paint, they prefer Skink but I'm used to calling them Paint. Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/paint/ (NSFW page content if you have an account) What: Three separate commissions agreed at different dates. I've created copies of the conversations concerning each one, censoring out e-mails and any mature details. They are in order of when they were taken on, with the first being the most late. Conversation - http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/6821/paint1q.png These were eight different nude poses of a character I called Emily for fun, which was an unusual human/lizard hybrid from a transformation story I wrote. They were coloured sketches and the price tag came to $50. Unlike the other two commissions, this one was half completed and I have received four of the eight images. But progress inexplicably stopped. Conversation - http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/4240/paint2a.png This was a character sheet for a new lizard sona I was hoping to get as an alt to my current one. It involved a clean/adult version of the same sheet. The price came to $71. No progress has been made on this commission. Conversation - http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/94/paint3jd.png A transformation comic of a mature nature where a couple turn into anthro iguanas. Most of the details for this commission were agreed during a livestream so there is no record of those conversations, the above was just getting the details down so they had something to reference during the stream. The price came to $75. The stream ended before Paint could get around to my commission, so she told me to attend tomorrows stream where she would work on it. I did, but she was too busy doing newly paid for commissions from that stream to work on my one, so it never got done. Some may ask why I would be silly enough to take up a third commission with Paint when she already owed me two that were late... I was assured the reason they were delayed so long was because Paint worked better during a stream, that work gets done during a stream. So I trusted her when she said a commission taken on during the stream would get done, but of course it didn't... When: When I started to feel no progress had been made for too long, I started contacting Paint regarding this. A record of these conversations can be found here. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/7392/paint4.png As you can see, the artist/customer relationship slowly disintegrated over time. While initially expressing a will to get these commissions completed, communication later collapsed. Proof: Here are the payment details for these commissions. Most of the discussion regarding these commissions are in the links included in the above section. http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/541/paypaltransactions.png Explain: I feel I have done everything I could of to resolve this matter. I kept in touch, I attended streams when I was told she could do them then, I was open for negotiation on how to move forward with them. I went above and beyond some others when it comes to showing patience and understanding with Paints regular problems, but ignoring my messages has really left the situation hopeless. The only alternative to maintain conversation would be to invade a journal or stream and hijack the discussion for this purpose, which inevitably would have led to me being made to look the bad guy... The worst part is, and probably why I've tolerated this for so long, is because I don't want Paint to dislike me 😞 I still don't, but I cannot imagine she will be happy to see I have posted this. My question to her would be "what else could I have done?" because I tried everything. I begged you to work with me to resolve this matter in the end and you responded with the silent treatment, what more could I have done? I hope she cares enough about what other people think that being posted up on Artists Beware will prompt her to want to get this matter sorted. But given she is already up here for reasons similiar to my own, I'm just not sure... Best case scenario is I'm refunded for the commissions (accounting for reductions for the completed Emily poses) and we can both move on. Maybe in time even get over this experience and get back on good terms again? But that's just me being hopeful. Refunds $171/ $171 Refunds are to be made every Friday over six weeks, so $28.50 per payment. 17/11/12 - $28.50 received 24/11/12 - $28.50 received 30/11/12 - No payment was receieved this Friday. 03/12/12 - Paint had forgotten and apologised, will be getting payment later. 04/12/12 - $28.50 received 07/12/12 - $28.50 received 15/12/12 - $28.50 received 24/12/12 - $28.50 received

Jun. 29th, 2012 at 12:11 PM acrothdragon Who: Paint - http://www.furaffinity.net/user/paint/ Where: Furaffinity What: Commissioned Miss Paint to do a non adult piece of my character and my friends. When & Explanation: Commission was excepted by the artist on Nov 20th, 2011 she noted me the price would be 68.00 in all and to expect work to be finished by mid December to early January. I then sent the artist the amount requested by PayPal that day. After December and January passed I waited two more months and the first note on April 6, 2011 asking for an update, no reply was received, I again sent a note on April 16 and still no reply. On April 30th the artist made a journal saying she was going to start refunding all commissions, on May 6th artist uses excuse of surcharges from 3 citations has pushed back refunds. On Jun 29th I gave the artist a deadline to refund the commission and the next day she finally responds saying she would refund then proceeds to lecture me.
