  1. Update on my bank claim,
  2. Good luck! I'm in a similar situation but my bank was willing to open a dispute after I didn't call paypal about my dispute. I understand the stress, and hopefully you get answers sooner rather then later!
  3. Dorky question, but should I use credit instead of debit when comissioning an artist?
  4. Hey all, not sure if this is the right place to post. In short I've written out a story and I want to make it into a webcomic. My initial thought was simply to hit up an artist and pay for the art in itself. Does anyone have any experience with what rights the artist should get, as well as what kind of payment should be reccomended? (I.e. buying 500 pages at once, vs 5 to 10 a month?)
  5. im debating adding this artist beware to my dispute lol
  6. This is all paypal would give me. I provided a screenshot of this as well as proof that it was a digital payment and was told there "was a good chance" I'd get my refund 😧
  7. Dude was treating me as a friend asking for extensions constantly but then never finished anything. The artist who was my friend and reccomended him got mad I "wouldn't let it go" and told me we were never friends but the guy was his irl friend and in dire straits so I should just eat the loss. This whole situation ticked me off on so many levels.
  8. ok I'll try, my bank has been disputing >~<
  9. Timothy-henri is an artist active on Furaffinity and deviantart. They primarily focus on designing outfits, armor, weaponry, and accessories. They also create unique "armored souls" which are like anthropomorphic and sentient versions of weapons! Super cool! if I have an idea, but cant properly communicate it to ana rtist I usually run right to Timothy to bring my vision to life!
  10. Shimizuryu is an artist active on deviantart and furaffinity. They often operate on artistic freedom, however they also design outfits and do ref sheets! I'm still absolutely smitten with every piece they've created for me, and I reccomend comissioning them!
  11. Adding some of the pieces I've got from Xelgot! Xelgot is mainly on patreon, but I always get my rewards on time, and am never dissatisfied!
  12. Hey, so currently my bank is pending a dispute and they say it's looking in my favor. I was wondering if you reccomended using credit cards over banks for this reason
  13. So, the artist initially had posted an emergency 20 art pieces for 50 dollars deal in order to get medical treatment for their pet rats. Originally I was told I'd get extra 10 stickers, and/or an icon. I was told I'd get a refund after 30 days if 10/20 weren't finished. Over a few months I received a few sketches, but nothing was ever completed. I was promised a refund on 11/10/2019, but on that date he told me his job didn't work out, and it wasn't worth getting a job until the summer. I opened a paypal dispute and offered to let him do 10 of the original 20 (or 30 if you countthe extras he promised me) . After he refused to try I asked him to do 3 fullbody pics (same quality as stickers,no background) and one fullbody with a background. Again, I received sketches but nothing finished. I was asked to cancel my dispute as it was stressing him, and ultimately he never finished anything, and provided paypal a fraudulent tracking number with my digital art. He has since gone against his word and completely stopped working... My bank is pending a result on 01/13/2020 for my dispute. Any advice as to how I can get a refund for sure, or how I can get some art or something? This has been over 4 months I haven't seen this money. Unless he refunds me in the summer or my dispute pull through I dont think I'll ever see my monies again Mod note: We had to censor some extremely personal information that the OP missed on censoring.
  14. This is crazy! I would say those last 3 stickers had very off fingers compared to the previous stickers and came off as rushed for me. Also I find it sus they used twitter to post a beware to their followers instead of 1. silently blacklisting you, or 2. using a website where moderators would demand evidence and review the validity of the beware.
  15. I kept hearing the spongebob voice. "have you finished those errands" when you asked about updates lol. Lowkey though the excuses. I'm broke right now, getting a new ac so broke, my partner and I seperated so I'm broke XD You'll get a refund tonight, ok that was last week, tonight, ok soon. Heres some work im not refunding you actually
  16. I just wanted to shout out to xelgot. I originally commissioned him for a reference sheet of a kemonomimi character. His prices are very fair, but he always goes above and beyond. he's willing to keep on making changes, keep adding details until both are satisfied. I've had him design 2 characters from scratch with ref sheets, had him draw humans and furries. Overall he is definitely my favorite artist, and I find myself tipping him happily after almost every commission. He's always so polite and professional, communicating deadlines and progress very steadily. I have NEVER had an issue with Xelgot, and find that I can count on him to create characters I've pictured in my mind from scratch which always enchants me.
  17. Looking back at the screencaps I have about 80, in which artist admits during original comission (which I paid for ages ago) they'd forgotten to finish certain things (and were supposed to here.) Should I submit all 80 screencaps or? XD
  18. Hi, so recently I had comissioned an artist to make changes to a previous work. We'd agreed upon 20$. They started work and got about half done and complained it was worth more then 20$ work. (It had been approximately 50 minutes of work.) The price raised to about 40. I said ok, but stated it was unprofessional. About 20 minutes later the job was 90 percent done. They refused to finish, ranted about me mistreating them as an artist (they now were texting me only in spanish and I had to google translate) They gave me the finished work and said they won't do any more work and not to contact them again.. and no need to pay since it won't be finished. Went on a rant about me mistreating them. (in essence, they prefer total artistic freedom. I'm paying for specific changes, they claim I'm just being difficult.) I asked them to finish so I could pay them. They then tell me I should pay them for their time.. after they gave me their progress and refused to finish. I asked them to crop out the unedited parts, and I'd pay them 25, a compromise between 20 and 40. They declined. I offered to pay 60 to 100 dollars for them to finish (90 percent of the work was done. this is 3x to 5x what I was originally told I'd be paying.) They declined. Told them I was uncomfortable paying them after they went off on me in spanish, and already gave me the file, permission to use it. Because I have to pay another artist to either finish editing it, or crop the finished parts. (I have no software for arting.) Any advice? Like, I offered more money, offered to have them literally crop it in the software they have for the payment, offered an apology.. and they just won't budge.. (but also state it's disrespectful of me not to pay for their time..) They also made a tweet about how "if a customer is rude to me I AM allowed to be rude back." I was in no way rude, we were discussing changes as they were being made and the artist became frustrated. I'm extremely upset and confused. Should I just have another trusted artist finish the edits? Crop what can be used and get a new reference sheet?
  19. Long story short he said he lost his job or something. I started a paypal dispute and he provided paypal with a tracking number for a shipment they'd sent apparently. They now are refusing to work or refund me as paypal sided with them. I'm trying to dispute with my bank now but jeezu
