Hey, this is me. (the artist). I saw this a few weeks ago and have been meaning to reply & update this thread.
I fully refunded everyone from my Anthrocon 2024 queue, no matter how complete the art was. (There was only one person I could not confirm received a refund, they just never replied to me). I am not sure what constitutes as proof here, but I included what I sent to my telegram channel below (details my refunds/my response/etc)
Anthrocon 2024 was my first time vending at a major con (recently 18) and I took on far too many commissions for far too low of a price. I tried to work through my queue, but eventually I just went silent until I refunded everyone months later. Once I refunded everyone, I also spent quite a bit of time talking with the people who had commissioned me to understand where I fell short and what they would like to see me do better. I do not hope to ever have issues like I did at AC24 again, and I have put boundaries in place for myself to ensure that. I have since vended again at anthrocon 2025 (with the cap of 5 slots & higher prices) and I was able to deliver all my commissions by late August (2 mo after the con). I love making people art and I really want to do the most to ensure I can continue delivering people a product alongside a professional business experience.
I am not really sure if this post will be "closed" or marked as resolved (I do not know how this site works) but I appreciate it being out there for people to access. I do hope this post gets to stay up though, I think peoples mistakes should be out there to be understood and grown from. I also think if my past issues as an artist rub someone the wrong way, they should feel free to steer clear until my reputation can be OK again.
