Yeah, it sucks, I know. I unfortunately got hit with those types of scammers on other sites and got a barrage myself. If they still go after you, I recommend reporting the new ones who try to message you too. Report them as scammers. Though I understand how time consuming that can be.

No guarantee anything would come of it, but have you considered contacting the organizers of Furpocalypse about this? It might prevent RegallyWild from vending there in the future, especially since this happened at their con.

In all likelihood, that is just a scammer and not an actual artist. Hence why they were so aggressive with trying to get your money immediately, especially after trying to solicit you to commission them. Such a solicitation is also a red flag that it is a scam. The art you seen was probably stolen. They don't care if you're short on money. They want the last bit of cash you can scrounge so they can take it and run. I recall encountering plenty of scammers with the exact same MO on discord.
