Latiro Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 It all started when, today, I've tried to pay some for an icon commission with my PayPal debit card just after I've instantly transferred funds to my PayPal balance. When I've tried sending the payment through their Boosty with that PayPal card, it says that the payment didn't go through. The same thing occurred when I tried paying through their Hipolink with the card. I got an email from PayPal saying that the card doesn't have enough funds to send the payment even though I had $25 in my PayPal balance. The message in question: Quote There wasn't enough PayPal balance available Your debit card ending in [number redacted] uses the money in your PayPal Balance account. Unfortunately, when you tried to complete the purchase, there wasn’t enough balance available to cover it. What excuse is this? Has anyone else got that problem like I have? Any advice?
Latiro Posted November 29, 2024 Author Posted November 29, 2024 Edit: Got the payment done through the artist's Lavatop, which accepts PayPal payments. And it went through smoothly!
Administrator Eden Posted November 29, 2024 Administrator Posted November 29, 2024 This would be something that you need to call Paypal for. I've used my Paypal card many times to pay through boosty, and have always had well over the required amount in my account. They may do a preauth or may "hold" more than the required amount before they allow it through. We don't know, and we can't answer that for you. 1
