(/r/Furry from Reddit suggested I should come here, since this was a bigger issue than I was hoping it would be, here's the Original Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/furry/comments/3o5puh/looking_for_opinions_and_advice_commission_issues ) WHO: Miss Raptor WHERE: http://missraptor.deviantart.com/ WHAT/WHEN: I commissioned her for a mask over a year ago, finishing my last down payment August 28th 2014 ( making it a year and 3 months) PROOF: The agreement: (April 3rd, 2014) The Final Payment: (August 28th 2014) Journals/Excuses from the artist incoming.. 1 (August 27th 2014)- Telling customers, ironically, to communicate with her payments, but she might not be able to communicate back as fast. 2 (Oct 2014) Pushed back until December 3 (Nov 2014) An issue with the furnace 4 (Dec 2014) It's now December, email goes down 5 (Jan 2015) Sorry, got a puppy now 6 (Jan 2015) Sick Sister 7 (Feb 2015) Sick Artist 8 (March 2015) Too many projects 9 (May 2015) Projects Paused.. again 10 (Aug 2015) 4 Months behind EXPLAIN: I'm concerned about the where-abouts of my said "finished mask" from a 6+ weeks ago. I understand things happen, but she has started to out right ignore her clients that are sending her notes on DeviantArt (and I know she is reading them, dA marks notes as "read" once opened.) We've been very patient and understanding with her but this is starting to become unprofessional. It took her a year to finally post a WIP for us due to the complications in the journals above. I'd honestly rather her post another journal though than ignore me and other clients on DeviantArt. This is happening while she still is taking commissions and taking down payments from other people, while she has had clients waiting for their 100% payed for mask for 15+ months( a year and a half almost). I'm very disappointing with the service I received for my $730 bucks, especially since I payed everything on time and let her push my project back continuously so she can advertise/sell merchandise at Anthrocon, work on her own personal projects, or deal with her real life issues. Sorry for the rant, I'm just so burnt out from this mask commission.. I can not recommend this fursuit maker to anyone anymore unless she works out her communication issues with her clients, and can balance her real life problems with her "professional career that makes her a living" as she called it. There's not excuse for this.
