Payment was also sent via Paypal at this time. Over the course of the year, Anniepopokios posted numerous journals apologizing for her multi-month-long absences and promising commissioners she would finish her work, all while taking on MORE commissions before finishing her current queue. I continually asked for refunds via note, page shouts, and journal comments, all of which were ignored. She sent a note on October 1st telling me she would get my refund to me, but that never happened. I have asked multiple times and been blatantly ignored. She has also taken on (and finished) commissions AFTER mine, which I really don’t understand. I realize that $10 is not a lot of money, but it’s the principle of the thing that bothers me. It’s been over a year. She’s lied to me that she would refund me and continues to ignore me. I don’t know how any artist, in good conscience, can take a commissioner’s money and keep it for a year with no sign of a finished piece or refund. At this point this experience has left such a terrible taste in my mouth that I do not want any art – I only want a refund and to be on my way. Hopefully no other future commissioners will have such bad dealings with this artist. UPDATE!!: Issue resolved - artist refunded in full on 10/29.
