Unfortunately, "unauthorized payments" are almost always ended in the client's favor.  Especially if they are initiated by the bank.  I'm not sure if you used their automated system or called them, but in some rare instances Paypal will make the seller whole out of their own funds.  However, we've only seen this happen once or twice.

I was adviced to call them so I did! I exchanged a few phone calls (that's why I lack screenshots about the conversations and few explanations that Paypal actually gave me), but after the 5th phone call, they told me that there's nothing else I could do, and that I should wait for an email for the final update - which I got today. Sadly, it seems I was unlucky like most people are in these cases, but hopefully Paypal will take note of this person for the future, and people who got scammed by him in the past will be motivated to report him as well.

    Thanks for the response!

  2. Hello again! Wanted to post an update regarding the whole situation with Paypal.

Despite me showing all the proof, explaining the whole situation, sharing screenshots, etc. T_Cyberwolf still won the case. Paypal didn't provide any reasons or further explanation on why it ended up like that, but.. it's final. Paypal did tell me that, since I can't provide any PHYSICAL proof that T_Cyberwolf wasn't hacked, and that the hacker was the one writing the messages to me, there's nothing I can do. At this point idk if I should ask customers to always sign a contract before purchasing.. because what else am I supossed to do to "physically" proof no one is hacked? Anyway, Paypal letting scammer getting away with anything and everything isn't new.

My Paypal account was unharmed at the very least because "I'm a valuable customer" - but what they tried to say is that, since T_Cyberwolf asked the money back because of "unauthorized transaction" and I already refunded the money, I'm obviously not at fault for anything apparently, so that's why I haven't faced any repercussions thankfully.

So in short, T_Cyberwolf has succesfully scammed me, got both the money and the files.

All I can do, is to advice people to spread awareness and block this person, because I wasn't the only one that got scammed, and he's probably going to try it out again eventually - he's pretty active on twitter as well, so be on the look out for that.

Hello! Im really sorry that this happened to you 😞
Recently T_Cyberwolf tried to scam russian artist with this fraudulent scheme.
Can I ask a permission of translating your Beware on russian language and spread it in russian site? I'll leave link to your Beware and leave your nickname in the translation!
    Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much for your sweet words!! I'm incredibly sorry to hear T_Cyberwolf also tried to scam more artists, it really sucks he's trying to get free art out of people :((

And yes of course!! Feel free to translate it, I'd actually appreciate it - the more the word goes out, the better!

Thank you so much again and hope you have a lovely day!

  4. UPDATE 04/01/2022

On January 4th 2022, I got an email from Paypal stating that T_Cyberwolf decided to open a case for the bill of the two adoptables he bought from me back in October 30th, the bill's total being 144EUR - the excuse being "unauthorized transaction", of course. I'm guessing this was possible because he only opened a case with one adoptable, the one he bought from me on November 3rd. He threatened me to open a second case for the 144EUR bill, but I refunded him the money before he did that, to avoid more Paypal cases being opened and hurting my Paypal account status.

Why would he open a case for the 144EUR bill, if I gave him a full refund back in December 8th? I don't know.
But he's done so, and I'm guessing he's trying to scam more money out of me opening disputes via Paypal.

Thankfully, since I gave him a full refund back in December 8th, NO money has been taken from me this time; however, this means that Paypal is investigating my account and this whole transaction once again. This probably puts my Paypal account at risk, or so I've been told.

I'll be in the look out for advice, and see if I should dispute this with Paypal, or let it be. I want to do what's best for my Paypal account, and whatever puts it at less risk. Will put another update as soon as I get any progress with this case.

Just want to remind everybody this person is very dangerous, and is hyperfixated on scamming me and God knows how many other people.
PLEASE, avoid him at all cost, don't make ANY transactions with him whatsoever.
