While this person certainly has a substantial, easily bruised ego, I think it would be helpful to have more context for "I found out that Adiago had no plans to honor my commissions due to my leaving."  the screenshot only says, as best I can figure out, that the person wasn't going to do it in that one stream or whatever, even if entirely out of spite.

Though the making up of extra fees just because Adiago felt like it and promising to work more slowly for the same reason would in themselves justify a page here.

Ha!  I didn't know he was actually OUT THERE doing this.  Assuming it doesn't violate the rules to add a personal addendum, I will say Daq has owed people on the internet commissions for years.  Since he wasn't posting on the internet I figured he was sick or possibly dead.  https://www.deviantart.com/dacantero/journal/AC-funds-751216601   I ordered one from him based on this and he disappeared shortly afterward, and you can see other people leaving comments on his various pages upset about the same thing. 

People not doing their side of an art trade is a fairly common occurrence, but somebody actively requesting trades, acknowledging and acting pleased with what the trader drew for her, lying about being "almost done" with her own side, then pretending to not exist, is quite possibly doing this on purpose.  I can't even find hard evidence she can draw at all.

This is rather difficult to make sense of since the images seem to be all together at the end rather than mixed with the text as the text assumes they are.

I advise AGAINST that, rather.  pardon me, ill today.

oh nuts I have bought from people like that, some of them with substantial followings.  I absolutely believe the file deletion, if it occurred, was a control tactic; you are supposed to get that news and think "oh gee them's the breaks!"  and if any fixes occur they are shoddy and leave the piece worse than before.

I hate to suggest this but I strongly advise tipping someone you haven't bought from before until after they do the work, and also not to pay any surprise charges without a full and satisfactory explanation.

Not even an apology, this person evidently doesn't see anything wrong with this behavior nor seem to have taken any time to determine which person whose money she has absorbed without doing any work in return you are.

If it can be assumed that person is sincere, It is very irresponsible to not keep track of whose money they have taken and for what, and for a prolonged period to casually ignore a site on which they solicit and interact with clients.  Someone like that should not charge any money until they are ready to do the work for it.
