Hello, LMy name is Coraiden, the friend of Eylon who's living with them and I wanted to confess that I am the one that said these things to you through my friend. Do not blame them for my actions. I thought it would have been just a fun joke to mess with my friend and I guess it did real harm. I am very, very sorry to you and my friend Eylon.

Moderators can see your registered email address.  You are Eylon.  Don't even attempt to pull that stunt here.  Any further attempts from you to keep up this charade will simply not be approved.

  2. The "client" / bewaree (cautionee?) in this instance is so ridiculously incorrect that it hurts.  No, they don't just get to toss out a magical "client ToS" and override your copyright.  Copyright is granted unto you upon creation, and unless you signed a contract stipulating what rights the client has then it all automatically defaults to you.  Filing a lawsuit has to be done in your county with your legal details, which they likely don't have.  On top of that, while they could file suit for just about anything this one would be thrown out because there was no signed contract.

If they attempt to upload the sketch anywhere file a DMCA notice.  If they attempt to get the sketch finished by someone else or violate your Moral Right to it in any manner, please update us and we will upgrade this to a full beware.

    This is ridiculous.

He gave me the artwork (He must send me the final pic, but he has shown me progress).. That's all i'll say.

If he hasn't actually given you the final image then it really isn't resolved, unless you're willing to accept what he's given you thus far.

So she sent the refund without even confirming you're email, and it wasnt yours? Did you end up actually getting the refund in hand?

OP has confirmed they got a refund~  We've marked it as resolved.

  5. Unfortunately this looks more and more to be the case that the client was using a credit card that they should not have had access to.  This generally happens when minors or adults get a hold of their parents' credit card.  Or a parent involved in their life has discovered that they are running up a large balance on their own credit card.  If you contact Paypal again there's a chance they can refund you the credit card chargeback fee.

  6. This thread has been locked. Currently the artist gave the OP a deadline of May for the refund, and normally we'd have rejected it to wait until then but it was escalated by the leaving fa/ ban from twitter.

Due to the artist's medical status they can't do anything from here until May. So far the community has said its piece and there's no more to add until the artist's deadline has passed.

OP: if May comes around and you still don't have a refund PM any staff member and we will update the thread and unlock it.

Well, if all goes well, that recovery time would be starting tomorrow. As to how she managed to pay for the surgery would be anyone's guess. Was the Journal I posted showing too much personal information, or was it what I said about personal experience?

The answer to that would be both. We aren't here to gawk at someone's personal struggles or to speculate on their financial situation. She is going through a dire medical situation, and that's all that needs to be said.

And quite frankly, many artists and service workers exist every day going through rough situations and manage to not be rude to their clients just fine. If it truly is that bad then its time to refund and take recovery time.

  9. " I will still be here to check on friends art or posts journals.. occasionally or whatever, "

"occasionally or whatever" doesn't inspire confidence given where the OP is at now, as well as being blocked on Twitter.  The artist absolutely should have contacted the OP directly if they intended to "occasionally or whatever" drop in for the foreseeable future.  It's only good business.

Mega yikes op.  Please let us know if you actually get your refund when they "occasionally or whatever" decide to come back and do right by you.

Asking for a refund after this period of waiting would be admitting defeat and saying it's okay to treat clients like this, to be honest. Would you, after 4 years of waiting?

Imo at this point a refund may be your best option. I know she makes more via her sketches than your original commission's cost, and she probably could knock out a refund sketch quicker than completing your image.

Obviously it's not ideal to take more comms to refund comms, but its frustrating to not see you made whole for 4 years.

  11. They are factually incorrect.  They are producing derivative work off of another artist's work.  It being a Telegram sticker doesn't make the item's copyright void and open for public use.  Gross.

And yes that’s is also a great idea as I’ve already laid out plans for how I’ll handle newer commissions in the future. I will only be accepting 1 at a time, nothing else will be accepted until the 1st one is complete. And I’ll be doing a lot more YCHS and bases/adopts until I feel mentally better working again on a regular basis. So I can start a good new routine starting off slow.

Howdy! We approved the two comments but hid the others for proxy. ? let's keep it focused on the OP here!
