About Me

  1. May. 11th, 2012 at 8:40 PM celestinaketzia Who: Tashumitsu (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tashumitsu/) / Tani-Da-Inki (http://tani-da-inki.deviantart.com/) What: Sketch trade. When: I finished my part of the sketch trade in February of 2011. Explain/ Proof: I posted a journal on FA back in February asking if anyone was willing to do a trade for my boyfriend's character, Gabriel. I have since deleted it, but Tashumitsu replied saying they would be willing to do it. We exchanged info (mind you they already had what character I wanted), and I finished my piece shortly after. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5212952/ (SFW) And then I hear nothing from Tashumitsu until April when he shouted this journal on my page- http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2277883/ Ok, that's excellent. :) I thanked him and then proceed to wait a bit more. It's now August and I haven't even seen this half sketch, so I shoot him another note. http://taasla.net/silly/notetashu1.png Well, ok! That's good. You can see my response, but he never responded back to me whether or not he had started it, or if it was sitting half done. Silence. I waited and noted Tashumitsu on October 8th. I'll admit my note may not be polite, but I was kind of at a loss on what to tell him. http://taasla.net/silly/notetashu2.png That note didn't get responded to, but I did notice activity in his account. Frustrated, I sent him a note titled Last Contact. I can't seem to find the actual note anywhere, but I did say that unless they responded to me I would be going to A_B. They did respond saying they would get on it and asked me what A_B was. Accepting that, I responded back with the following note. http://taasla.net/silly/abcontact.png Shortly after this I got a job offer and had to ship out for training and moved shortly after. The whole thing slipped my mind until April-ish and I went over to their account. He had posted a journal asking for people they owed art to respond. I responded. http://taasla.net/silly/oowedart.png I heard nothing until today where another artist posted a journal asking for art trades. Now that I am calm, I regret posting in her journal (and if you're reading this, I apologize again for bringing that into your space). I should have noted them, but I was incredibly upset at this point. Tashu stated they wanted to trade with them meanwhile owing me for more than a year. That was the last straw and here I am. http://taasla.net/silly/finalstraw.png The artist's name has been edited out to protect their privacy. My comments were hidden by me as they don't need that on their journal. In short, don't trade with Tashu. You will be waiting a very long time with countless excuses. Edit: Fixed some flubs with Tashu's gender. :) If anyone spots any instances where I still refer to him as she, please let me know. While this was in queue, Tashu has delivered his half of the trade seen here. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7965448/
  2. Apr. 2nd, 2012 at 7:21 AM eye0ffcenter WHO: Acorn/Squirrelworks WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/acorn/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/user/squirrelworks/ WHAT: A waist up sketch commission of five characters WHEN: From April 14th 2011 - Feb 6th 2012 From first to most recent interaction. PROOF: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Newcanvas.jpg and http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/proof.jpg EXPLAIN: I took the commission through a journal that she posted. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Newcanvas.jpg I also ordered another commission (which was a discount thing that she was doing at the time for female characters). She had me on her list of commissions and said that I didn't have to pay until I got an approval sketch. She never got around to it. I never paid, thank goodness, so it's not a big deal, but still relevant. I don't have any screenshots for this one and the journal I ordered it in is gone. After four months of waiting for the sketch commission, I contacted her again and she replied telling me she forgot about it. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/forgot.jpg Even though the journal I ordered it through was then and STILL IS up (at the time of me posting this). Journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2255182/ After waiting a little under a month more, I contacted her again and she replied saying that she'd been suspended for a week and unable to access notes. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/suspension.jpg Let's not forget that my commission was in a journal and not in notes and that a week suspension is not an excuse for a month MORE of waiting. After this, I apologized to HER, because I really wanted the art from her. She asked me what kind of pose I wanted, so I thought I was getting somewhere. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/details.jpg Bolded text is a link. After this, she told me she would upgrade it to a full body sketch since I'd waited so long. She was very polite throughout the entire ordeal, so don't misunderstand. What I am reporting is definitely not her attitude. I waited about a month longer and then messaged her asking for a WIP (after seeing that she'd uploaded a couple of WIPs, which. I figured that after THIS LONG, she would have worked on it a little. Keep in mind, she'd been posting multiple other commissions and personal work daily. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/WIP.jpg After this, I waited a week. Since she said before that she would work on it, I thought she might have SOMETHING to show for all of my waiting. To which she replied that she had no idea how to pose these characters. I already told her what I wanted five weeks ago. So I replied giving her all of the information that I'd already given her again. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Description.jpg I contacted her again after nine days asking her how long she thought it might be before I'd see any results from her. She replied saying that she'd been really busy (doing more commissions?) and that I'd have to wait until she got all of her Halloween commissions done. Really? Just... Really? I waited ANOTHER MONTH before contacting her again. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Askingforarefund.jpg This seemed to scare her into actually working on it (though I can't be positive of whether she'd worked on it at all before this point). Three days letter, I get a WIP. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Unfinishedsketch.jpg Submission: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6988259 Here, in the comments, she asked me for more detail so that she could finish. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Commentsonsubmission.jpg And her finger slipped here, but no one can fault her of that. I waited two more months to ask for an update to which she replied that she still had all of my information. This is the last I've heard from her. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/LastwordfromAcorn.jpg I waited a month after that to ask her about it again. The note is still unread after half a month. It's been a year and it's still not done. Screencap: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/Unreadmessage-1.jpg This is what I have: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t154/eyeoffcenter/Acorn/1323223101acorn_eyeoffcenter.png The only unfinished one is my character. This would literally take her like ten minutes to finish. Mood: accomplished Edit: I received the finished image. Submission: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7728551/ She was very professional about it after the initial journal and the turnaround was quick. I am very happy with the finished product.
  3. justcheezit (justcheezit) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-14 17:59 Commissioner beware: Loftyk9 WHO: Loftyk9 WHERE: Tumblr/Fur Affinity WHAT: 4 part sketch sequence/ mini comic WHEN: Nov. 16th 2018 - Jan. 6th 2019 EXPLAIN: I did a commission for Loftyk9 back in November 16th of 2018; of which hadn't been paid for until January 6th of 2019. Initially they had an error with the payment due to an unstable connection,I had given them time to rectify this error as I had other clients drafts to handle. More hindrances came about, ranging from being in the hospital, handling holiday related expenses and once again running into more transaction errors when reminded of the invoice a month and a half after the commission had been completed. I will openly admit to having handled it poorly on my behalf by not enforcing my pay up front policy; however, having given them more than enough time to have the transaction handled, being promised it would be handled at the moment of being reminded, and finally being told of a similar transaction error or simply getting no response until asked again, their credibility has been damaged and I'm unable to say that they're pleasant to do business with. PROOF: Gallery detailing the initial transaction, error and eventual resolving https://imgur.com/a/afyOXUR
  4. [ This article contains uncensored NSFW imagery (nudity). ] ... I initially got into contact with Strype on the 3rd of November, 2018. One day later, on Nov 4th, we came to an agreement on a single character thigh-up commission for $220,- USD. I subsequently provided them with my PayPal address and paid their invoice in full that same day (Nov 4th, 2018). They confirmed my payment as completed, and informed me that I'd have linework to look at later that week. On the 16th of November, 2018 (~12 days following the 4th), I received the linework along with a brief apology for the wait. I approved of the linework some hours later, on the same day. After this point, a long period of silence and no updates would occur. This is where I want to bring one's attention to the fact that the artist does not have a ToS. Below is a collection of screengrabs from their primary sites (FA and Twitter), both having no ToS to speak of whatsoever. Furaffinity Account Page Furaffinity "Commissions Available" Post 1/2 + 2/2 Twitter Page (Additional screengrabs from other sites such as Furry Network (https://furrynetwork.com/strype/) and Weasyl have also been collected, but will not be included here as they are not in use by the artist at the time of writing this article.) In short; the artist has no rules, no commitments, and no incentive to adhere to any sense of professionalism with commissions that start off at over 200 USD. I should obviously have considered this a red flag prior, but I did not. That was a mistake. Reiterating; November the 16th, 2018 was when I received and approved of the linework for my commission. I waited until December the 17th, roughly one month later, before I sent them a note asking for an update. No progress had been made - but they had added me to their 'priority list'. I thanked them for the update and continued waiting. Following Christmas and New Years, on the 12th of January, 2019, I sent them a new note asking for an update if possible. (The mentioning of 'three weeks' below here on my part is referring to me inquiring about some lighting conditions in the commission, as they had not yet started, three weeks ago.) Understanding their reasonings, I wished them the best and continued waiting, hoping for an update. On the 1st of February, 2019, I ended up sending them a new note, asking for an update. Still no progress - but understanding their situation (they have been open about these issues on their public Twitter, no censoring necessary), I remained patient, hoping for an update soon. It was during this phase of waiting I came to realize that getting put on a 'priority list' since the middle of December last year actually doesn't mean anything at all. Strype had been taking on multiple commissions between late December in 2018 and up till early February in 2019 - all while my commission was supposedly a priority. December 30th, 2018 - Multiple Slots January 21st, 2019 - One Slot January 26th, 2019 - Multiple Slots > (This one is especially interesting and will be referred to shortly) February 10th, 2019 - Multiple Slots The most alarming about these openings is the fact that these commissions were not prioritized behind my commission. One of them was actually taken in late January, (Jan. 26th opening), but ended up being completed less than a month later, before my commisson had even been started. I know this due to getting in contact with the commissioner in question. [See mod note above] Following these discouraging news, I wrote up a note asking for a reply in direct response to what I had learned, confronting them with my concerns on the 19th of February, 2019: This is how my message looked: This is the reply I received: Reading this reply, the troublesome lack of any ToS the artist would've had to abide by, became clear to see. I thanked them for the update and expected results to show up soon. Three days later, on February the 22nd, 2019, the artist finally delivered my finished commission, thanking me for my patience. Credit where credit is due, I was satisfied with the finished results, but they had arrived 3-4 months after I had paid my commission in full. My commission had arrived roughly one week before my PayPal refund (March the 3rd) opportunity would've been rendered forfeit; not a reassuring fact. Wanting to give them a second chance however, I inquired with them if they would be interested in taking on a second commission, granted that another uncertain 3-4 month waiting period was not to repeat itself, put in a polite of a manner as possible. Their response was simple, and sounded as follows... There was nothing extraordinary about my experience with them, and 3-4 month waiting period. If I wanted another commission, I should expect another 3-4 months of the exact same treatment, over again. ... I urge you to stay away from this artist at all costs, at the very least until they possess a ToS to prevent what happened to me, from happening to you.
  5. I was approached in-game by someone offering art commissions, and given that I didn't have many done of my characters and didn't have much money, I spoke with them a little bit about it. The price was decent and so I agreed to talk about it over discord messages. I got information from them, and provided references as well as what I was looking for, which also included the only commissioned art piece I had of the character in question. The payment was sent, but there was some issues over how it was to be sent to them. I originally used the payment option but was told to resend it as a friend after he refunded the prior payment. In the end, the payment issue was fixed and the agreed upon amount was received. There was a little more discussion on available times as well as an ETA on seeing the linework. Past that point, the next time I contacted them was a little over a week later, on April 5th, to check on the progress given what they had told me about their usual turn-around times. They messaged me a week later on the 13th that they were finished with the prior line work for a previous commission (the draenei in the screenshot) and that they were going to be starting on mine next. Three days later on the 16th I received a message saying that we needed to discuss pricing. I told them that we had already negotiated and agreed on the price, and that I had paid them in full and up front and that I wanted to see the line art to see if there were any changes I would like made. There were a few things that I had an issue with and voiced them, as well as restating that I would not be paying anything further since the agreed upon price for the digital color portrait had already been paid. They attempted to pass blame off on me for not working with them, despite during negotiations a few weeks prior on the 19th when I stated I would be more than happy to provide further assistance should they need more references or clarification from me. They continued to attempt to re-negotiate further payment on a transaction that was already concluded and payment rendered. When I declined, and told them that I would simply take the incomplete product, they agreed. After that, they messaged me that they would probably go ahead and finish the coloring of the art piece anyway or possibly use it as practice for shading and that I should keep an eye out for it. When I attempted to confront them on this, Discord's bot informed me my message could not be sent because I had been blocked/unfriended by them. I attempted to go to their Instagram page where they had posted the work and reply to their work. The post was rapidly deleted and my Instagram account blocked from viewing their page. As the payment was changed from a business transaction to a gift, I know I cannot be refunded. I wouldn't have minded being out the money for this commission, but when I was told that they were essentially going to finish the drawing anyway -after- I had told them I was done, I wanted to make others aware of this artist.
  6. This issue has been RESOLVED as I have received a refund, but I would still like to WARN others about this artist and their TOS. On 7/05/18 I commissioned BluntGypsy for a YCH pinup slot that they had put up for sale. The pinup YCH's were offered in this journal: And came from this DA listing: I wanted a $20 colored sketch and here is the conversation had with the Artist to confirm the commission: I paid them that day and added a $5 tip in advance since this was for a 'Fund Raiser' and it sounded like they were going through a rough time. Here is the proof of the Paypal transaction: As you can see in the messages above she said she'd have it done in about a week or so, so I waited. She did not reach out to me personally for months and I waited patiently until she began to post some pretty concerning journals. The first came in August. I am not a part of her Discord so this was the only update I had seen since I commissioned her, but as it said something may be done by the end of September, I decided to try to wait. The next journal, however, raised some red flags for me. I had not had any communication with the artist directly before seeing this journal, so it came as a surprise to me that they were trying to sell their tablet (which they would need to finish my commission). So, I sent them an email. On the bottom is the email I sent to her and above it is her reply to me which came about a month later. I will point out she said she understood if a refund is desired, or to let her know if I still wanted the commission. At this point, with the selling of her tablet and the lack of communication, along with me not playing that character much at the time, I just wanted a refund and knew it may take a little while to get one back but asked for one anyway. After sending this email I received no further replies through email from her. The only thing I saw of her was another journal posted at the end of December. It states that her house burnt down at the end of November but also asks for people to file refund requests through her emails, which I had already done, and clearly offers said refunds for clients who do not wish to wait until she can get a new tablet and get to work on art again. I decided to wait a couple of weeks before reaching out to her and sent her a message in January to see if she had ever gotten my email about wanting a refund and to simply check up on things. Please note that she said she'd put me 'at the top of her list' BECAUSE I'd reached out to her again. I waited another month or so but was concerned when I saw her offering money to those who would get her a tablet and talking about YCH's or designs she had bought in other servers so I contacted her for an update. I admit that I was getting a bit impatient as I had been nice and had tried to be understanding throughout all of this since I know she had been dealing with a lot of stuff. Two weeks later she reached out to me for the FIRST time since I had commissioned her. On that day she said she'd send a refund THAT DAY or the next. I checked my paypal for the next couple of days and had received nothing. I decided to give her even more time and waited a month before contacting her again. The reply I received was that I had been bumped down on the list due to a rather 'impatient and rash client' who received priority, likely because of their attitude. I was rather unhappy with this considering how patient and civil I had been trying so hard to be. She said she'd get it to me by Friday (which would have been the 5th). I waited until Friday, received nothing, let Saturday pass by and still did not see my refund so I messaged her on Sunday. At this point I was -done- waiting and receiving nothing but excuses, but as it had long passed Paypal's refund policy I could do nothing but continue to ask and wait. I finally received a refund on Monday the 8th. Firstly, I'd paid $25, not $20, but because the $5 was a tip of sorts, which I never should have given, I'll call the refund good. However, she chose to mention her TOS to me, which I was rather unhappy about considering she does not have this TOS listed on the front page of her DeviantArt, nor did I see it when I first commissioned her (turns out it was linked in a random journal). I WISH I would have read the TOS BEFORE commissioning her because I would have never done so otherwise. Here is a copy of it: First of all, she has a 'Pay Upfront' policy along with a 'No Refunds' policy, which Paypal will not even back (which is how she takes most of her payments). Secondly, it states she will finish commissions in no later than 8-weeks, so the fact that I asked for a refund on an 'Overdue Commission', one that she OFFERED to me first, does not seem so wild, to me. After this I did send her a message on Discord letting her know that I was unhappy with the entire process and why. She sent me a message back, defending herself, her policies, and then promptly blocked me. As stated before, I count this as RESOLVED because she did finally get a refund back to me, however with the TOS that she has (with the 'absolutely no refund policy') and with how hard I had to try to reach out to her, I am wanting to warn others before they commission her so they know the potential of what they may be dealing with.
  7. Commissioned Bubbles at BLFC 2018 for a Colored Badge. I paid at the convention in cash. They emailed back very quickly to confirm the commission and get references. (They CC'ed everyone who had gotten a commission at the con). Their Trello was updated with a sketch of the badge. I didn't hear back from them though, and in November I sent a follow up message. They replied the badge was completed and being shipped out. Their Trello still only shows the sketch and I have no proof of its completion. I also did not get any tracking number or shipment details. I gave my address at the convention, but just to be sure, In December I sent my address once more. In January I sent a follow up. I also messaged them on Telegram - it is still not read. Finally in January I CC'ed everyone asking if they had heard from the artist. The artist also replied. I replied I'm happy to wait. Then in February I asked for an update. And then finally in February I asked for a refund. At this point it is not looking like I'll get either the commission or the Refund. This artist is not communicative, lied about the status of the badge and the shipping, missed multiple deadlines, and in all failed to deliver.
  8. Anjel (anjel_kitty) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2018-11-27 05:13 Teahound/Shroom Yeen When and Where: Furlandia 2018 What: badge for 20 dollars At Furlandia this past year, I commissioned @ShroomYeen for a 20 dollar traditional badge when I met up with them working in the artist alley. I remembered them from the days of 'yore here on LJ, and wanted to support an artist that I knew from before who lived close to where I lived now. ShroomYeen was very affable at first, and I even invited them to some of the events in the local area since we lived in the same town. But after the con, the messages became fewer and further between, until finally they started flat out ignoring me and refusing to respond to me. I have contacted Furlandia to let them know that an artist in the AA still has not come through with their paid commission so they won't be able to steal from anyone else at Furlandia 2019. At this point I am just going to cut my losses and let people know, especially here in the West, not to commission the artist known as ShroomYeen, formerly known as Teahound, and also goes by Travis. I thought that after this many years, this artist would have changed their ways, but apparently I was wrong. I do not have a receipt for the badge (something I will not make a mistake like that about again) but I do have chat logs between myself and the artist, with the artist agreeing to mail me my badge and then subsequently ignoring me from that point on.
  9. On the 18th of October, 2018 I commissioned morvin for a flat colored icon/headshot, gave them my character and paid on the same day. On the 3rd of November, I asked for an update and then contacted morvin again on the 5th to give a redirect link to my character. Please note that my original question for an upate went kind of ignored by them. On the 3rd of December, I asked for another update and got a traditional sketch WIP on the same day which I promptly approved. On the 29th of December I asked for another update, voicing my displeasure about the long wait time and minimal communication, which was responded to on the same day, telling me to wait as they (assumingly) had quite a queue on their hands. On the 10th January, I gave them a deadline of 2 weeks to deliver the art, again voicing my displeasure and distrust in them. They responded on the 14th with their own deadline and asked me to wait until the 25th which I agreed to. On the 27th, I told them that the 25th had passed and I gave them a quite lenghty message, asking them to refund me until the end of the week. I recieved my refund in a quietly manner on the same day (27th January). I'm posting this caution/beware as it was kinda stressful dealing with them, though I wish the best for them to better their customer communication and queue management for the future~
  10. I decided to write this review of my experience with Furfancy costumes, after my paypal case has finally closed. I feel it's important to share my experience so other people might not end up in my situation, and I hope that Furfancy will learn from their mistakes and improve on their customer service and communication skills in the future. A little background information that goes before the situation that in the end led to a Paypal chargeback of 373$. I have previously commissioned Furfancy for 2 of her big cat expanding foam bases. These two bases were commissioned 10/10 2017 and 14/1 2018. Both bases were in perfect condition upon arrival and I was very happy with the quality and looks of these bases. However, I did have some communication issues with Furfancy during this time (lack of updates, slow to no responses) and it took about 1 month before the bases were shipped out. I have described this more in detail in the overview timeline I’m posting after this section. At the time I didn’t think too much about it but it did worry me a bit, but since I in the end did get my product and I was happy about it I wanted to commission them again when they offered more bases for sale through Twitter summer 2018, and this is where things went terribly wrong. Furfancy foam base issue timeline 10/10 2017 - Ordering 1 foam base 23/10 2017 - Asking for updates (no response) 2/11 2017 - Asking for updates (no response) 3/11 2017 - Gets answer from Furfancy 10/11 2017 - Contacts to confirm shipping 11/11 2017 - Shipping confirmed 23/11 2017 - Base arrives 14/1 2018 - Ordering second foam base 1/2 2018 - Asking if the base has been shipped 3/2 2018 - Get a picture of the base in a box 5/2 2018 - Base gets shipped 13/2 2018 - Base arrives 19/7 2018 - Ordering 2 foam bases 31/7 2018 - Contacting to ask if they have received payment. It gets confirmed its recieved. 6/9 2018 - Asking for update and ordering an extra additional base. Also pay more shipping for all 3 bases to be shipped together 19/11 2019 - Asking for update (no response) 20/11 2018 - Asking for update again (no response) 29/11 2018 - Asking for refund (no response) 3/12 2018 - Asking for refund again. Tries to work out a private payment plan with first payment in January. 5/1 2019 - Contact seller asking for status of refund (no response) 6/1 2019 - Contacting again because no response (still no response) 8/1 2019 - Doing a PayPal dispute and first here do I get an reaction 11/1 2019 - Pushes for a PayPal claim due to no response on the dispute 21/1 2019 - Paypal closes the case, ruling in my favour due to Furancy failing to respond or provide additional proof regarding the transaction. Now, I am terrible sorry this had to go this way, but I am very unhappy with how this business transaction has been treated. I have attached the entire conversation which took place on Telegram as proof of my statements. Sadly I have friends who had similar experience as me, although they either didn't get their items all together or they arrived damaged. While it's not my place to speak their case, their experiences combined and my own I felt I had to speak up about this issue. The only reason I pushed the Paypal case was because my 180 days buyer protection was running out. It was around 170 days past when I made the dispute and with failing communication or any sign of a refund I decided to go through with it while I still had a chance to get my money back. Furfancy has a super adorable style, I love their suits and I admire the craftsmanship. But as a professional I had expected more and better communication and customer service. I felt I was often left in the dark and felt forced to ask for any updates (both product wise and shipping wise) and that should be communicated better from Furfancy. This is not an attack on their person (I don’t know them) but it's a critique of their lacking professionalism as a business. Pictures of the conversation below. Please note the dates.
  11. WHO: Smileeeeeee WHERE: FurAffinity WHAT: Digital Artwork - YCH (NSFW) WHEN: 12/19/2018 - Present EXPLAIN: So, I commissioned a NSFW YCH piece from this artist in mid December. The turn around time was great, don't get me wrong. However, upon receiving the piece, there were a number of issues that needed correction with markings. Additionally, she had saved my reference on top of the YCH image in the corner so I couldn't use it (see image for better explanation). This is a YCH on a premade base, so I assume corrections can be fairly easy regarding layering. The issues were incorrect colored paw pads, incorrect markings of her groin, and my reference having been saved over the image itself. There is a language barrier between us, so I wrote back and explained what needed to be corrected/removed and thanked her for the piece overall. I didn't intend it to be rude. She responded stating that she'll fix it when possible. But she proceeded to say that my reference was "very poor quality" and stated that portions were not there at all when they were as well as tell me that colors were on it that were not. I even went back and checked the color dropper of my own character to ensure this was correct. The only thing I can imagine that caused these issues is her using my reference to color drop at a very low scale that caused it to be pixelated. My reference itself is a very large scale, so why she shrank it so much is beyond me. She also did not use the Color Swatch on the side. I have never had an artist say my reference was poor. I've never had issues like this prior. I showed my reference to other artists and asked some I have used in the past and they stated they loved the quality and it was easy to use. Summary: While the turn around time was awesome, the image had a lot of issues and seemed to be minor mistakes from lack of observation or care. When asked to make corrections, it was suddenly turned on me and unnecessarily rude towards my artwork/character. I do not feel welcome to commission her again and I don't feel confident that I'll get what I actually paid for. Communication could have been a lot more professional. 13. Mar. 25th, 2012 at 1:23 AM thaily WHO&WHERE: Xinnova2 on Furaffinity. WHAT: Digital character sheet. WHEN: Started December 22, officially terminated via full refund March 23. PROOF: - Complete exchange of notes in a text file. There's 11 pages, I'll write summary below. Also the links are borked because A. cut&paste from FA and B. I removed the sketches from my server because Xinnova need not access them anymore. - [NSFW, feral bits] Thumbnail of sketched character sheet. To provide proof that I did draw the commission and go to this point of near-completion. Forgive the size and watermark, I do not wish to provide this person with further images for his perusal. - Screenshot of full refund. SUMMARY: Customer doesn't know what he wants, or at the very least does not communicate this to the artist. Despite claiming that he is a writer and that this character sheet will "define me spiritually" he does not write a conclusive description of what he wants, hemming and hawing over what he wants and then becoming increasingly abusive when the artist indicates her boundaries in accordance with the TOS they agreed to. Upon a full refund the customer posts a harassing journal and he and his friends make libelous statements and insults, suggesting customer sue the artist and wishing physical harm on the artist. Upon completing another character sheet commission, Xinnova contacted me about getting a similar commission from me. I showed him my TOS which he said, and I quote "That's actually very reasonable" and "I will try not to make too many changes, if I do though I will pay the fee". We agreed on $100 for the sheet, half paid up front with a deadline of 6 months. The transaction started out pleasantly, though early on I realized I had to drag a description of the character I was supposed to draw out of this guy. I thought that he was just a little enthusiastic and disorganized and that I could work with him; I've worked with customers before who sort of knew what they wanted and helped them along to come to a satisfactory end result. No biggie. I thought. I told him to take a day to make a list of things he wanted instead of sending lots of separate notes, and when he sent notes asking me to add things after I had started (and shown him) sketches I didn't make a fuss and did. The trouble started when I showed him the third sketch; the first was a side view, he asked for changes (rounded the muzzle/added bandana/number of teats/placement of teats/size of paws/shape of tail-mouth) which I applied. Upon being shown the second sketch he approved the changes, asking if I could curve the horns back a bit more, which I did. He specifically complimented me on the revised tail-mouth; initially described as being shaped like a rose-bud that opens into a worm-like maw with teeth. I drew the closed tail mouth as a rose bud, with a bulb below the bud and the little green outer leaves. I told him I was checking off the side-view as approved and listed the remaining work, thinking we had a decent jump off point for the character design. He told me he was looking forward to the results. He asks if he can still add a necklace. I added the necklace in the fourth sketch. Upon being presented with the third sketch, he tells me the previously changed and approved muzzle "doesn't feel right at all". He also asks me to change the previously changed and approved closed tail-mouth design. I apply both of these changes. He asks me to match the size of the paws in the turn-around, which are already matched in size; I put the sketches side to side to ensure that they were, before I presented him with the sketch. So, I can't change it because the paws are already matched up. He asks me to change the teats/pouch, I apply this change. He tells me the cock has a knot; the cock is not shown, just the sheath. He did not ask for a cock, so I just drew the sheath. He says he has a sheath, which is great, because I drew a sheath. Again, can't change that. He tells me he wants the anus included from the view from below, except you wouldn't be able to see the anus from that angle, especially with the vagina mound in the way. So I can't change that because quite frankly, it would make it look like I don't know the proper placement of the anus, which he seems to believe. He "helpfully" tells me the anus "is located in the common area of the tail base". He tells me to mind the shape of the serpent heads, which is fine. It was a messy sketch but I'm quite familiar with ancient Egyptian art, that's not a problem. Current count of changes is 11 changes applied spread over 3 opportunities for Xinnova to provide feedback. On the 3 items I couldn't change I explained why I could not. I send him the fourth sketch, which includes close-ups of the genitalia, including a close-up of the anus in it's proper place. At this point, his unclear waffling on the muzzle and tail is some cause for concern for me and I tell him that this is his last batch of free revisions. I tell him to take his time in deciding what he wants to see changed and that if he wants more changes, he'll have to pay extra for the additional labor, as stated in my TOS which he agreed to. I had a feeling that otherwise, I was going to go back and forth on the muzzle and tail for a long time, if not on other parts as well if he suddenly disapproved of his previously approved changes. Keep in mind that he has currently paid $6,25 per element of the character sheet. As a professional, I can only spend so much time on a $6,25 sketch. He sends a short note, telling me he has 6 months? I set a 6 month deadline for my work, and we're already 3 months into it. But I didn't tell him he only had a day, just to take a day to think about it, since his other replies asking for changes were sent fairly quickly and then promptly disapproved of again next time 'round, I thought maybe he thought I was trying to rush things and that he didn't have time to think about it. I tell him he can take his time and give him some hints on how to put together clear reference material. I figured that, even if he could not find good images or couldn't "redline" the sketch, that he could write out something more detailed, as he lists himself as being a writer. This is where the transaction sours, in retrospect, pretty much beyond repair. I try and remain civil despite the fact he calls my experience and professionalism into question, tells me I should have done the research(?), that he only asked for a few small changes, that I refused to change things (but when prompted, doesn't tell me what I refused), that I'm not giving him opinions or options etc. I give him a play-by-play response telling him that he needs to tell me what he wants or else I can't draw it. I restate that I want him to take his time and tell me exactly what he wants so that I can change it and hopefully bring the transaction to a satisfactory conclusion. He goes on about how this commission is unique and he can't just describe it despite the fact that he is A. a writer, or says he is and B. he claims this character sheet will "define me spiritually". Despite the fact he is not an artist he tells me sketching is the easiest part of a commission and something about experience, which he doesn't have as an artist, so I don't even know where he was going with that; at this point I'm just confused and uncertain where this hostility is coming from. Stress and illness can only account for so much, I've never had a customer get angry before when I ask them what they want. But he feels like I'm cutting his head off by asking him what he wants so I can draw it for him. I initially read the note but don't reply, assuming that with time he'd send me the info I needed and we could get this business sorted. I try to go on with my day and do unrelated art, but I'm distracted and irritable and I realize that I was just waiting for the other passive aggressive shoe to drop. I wanted to bring the commission to a good conclusion, despite the brouhaha, but realized that in order to do so, I'd have to let him bully me into, essentially, work for peanuts. Well, smaller peanuts. Or the burnt, shriveled and stale bits of peanuts left in the bottom of the bag of peanuts. And that I would hate myself for it. So I terminated the transaction, as stated I am able to do in the TOS he agreed to. I even gave him a full refund. Then I told him that he could make no claim to the sketches, could not use them for anything and that I desired no further contact. I saw that he had read the note and he did not reply. I thought that would be the end of it and I was quite happy to leave it at that. That said, I still had a half-finished character sheet, which I own fully and was out about $50 of labor. Trying to recoup some of my losses I changed the design around to no longer resemble Xinnova's design (which according to him, I had failed to approximate anyway) and put it up as a pre-sketched character sheet/adoptable. AFTER I had removed all mention of Xinnova from my account, which was just in my commission list in my journals anyway. I did in no way refer, link or name him anywhere. To which [possibly NSFW, tame but feral bits]he promptly outed himself as the uncooperative and abusive customer in the very first comment. Notice his friends also joining in. I blocked them all. He then posts a harassing journal linking directly to my submission, breaking the Terms of Service of FurAffinity. When a moderator deletes his post and gives him a warning, he complains about how he was just defending his good name which would have never been jeopardized if he had dropped the matter when he was refunded. You'll notice the blatant discrepancies between his communication with me and what he tells his friends: That I was insulting and attacking him, that he only asked for 4-5 small changes and that I didn't do half, that I have "butchered" his name publicly, that he wasn't initially prepared to pay extra for additional labor in case he needed numerous changes and so forth. Interestingly, there's apparently 3-4 of his friends who filed Trouble Tickets about me/my pre-sketched commission, despite they were never even peripherally involved with this transaction. Harassment, name-calling, insults and the like ensue, all based on what little skewed information they had. Which brings us to this post. In conclusion: Do not work with this person. He doesn't know what he wants and gets angry when you don't either and refuse to do endless revisions until he makes up his mind, which might be never; he wants other people to define him spiritually, which is just never going to happen. It's not worth it and neither is the resulting abuse and libel he uses to whip his friends into an ignorant frenzy. Friends, whom I should add, who would also probably be best avoided if these statements are indicative of their true nature. I'll probably get more abuse and harassment for this post, but I honestly think it's worth it if I can save at least one other artist from this frustration and aggravation; You are better than this, do not work with him.

Mar. 16th, 2012 at 12:47 PM keshimeg WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanillakitsune aka Stripesandteeth/Ash WHERE: VanillaKitsune.deviantart.com (now deactivated) also Vanimute@DA Vani@FA Stripesandteeth@Tumblr WHAT: Digital chibi, Digital Portrait WHEN: August 6th 2009 up until 20th December 2011 PROOF: Proof of payment http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg Original commission request was made on her Vanillakitsune DA account which has now been deactivated. I have placed screencaps of what conversation I could get, they are in the explanation. EXPLAIN: I have been a customer wronged by Vani/Ash. At one point I thought we were on a very good level, enough to say we were sort of friends. While my situation has a better ending than most as I received a refund in the end, I will share it. I've wanted to share it for a long time but always felt the need to tip-toe around her feelings and her fans. I'm done hiding though, because her behaviour is not on. I was happy with my outcome, despite having to fight for it for so long. However, after seeing her open more commissions, well, that angered me! I feel upset and sorry for the people who are still waiting, and those new commissioners who have no idea. I commissioned Ash on August 5th, 2009, this was on her VanillaKitsune DA account. She was wanting to save up for some ragdoll cats. Her art was an inspiration and I think this was around the time we were acquaintances. I ordered a chibi ($15) and a digital portrait ($50). I am a very trusting person and I really wanted to help. Full payment of $65 was sent upfront, I was extremely excited! Here is the payment proof http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg A few months passed and I finally received a my chibi. It wasn't the highest quality of art (pencil sketch coloured in) but I still did enjoy it, hey I got art for one of my biggest inspirations, yipee! Here is the chibi commission http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/Art%20for%20me/Kyle/Kyle_Commish_by_Vanimute.jpg At this point I was pretty confident I will get my digital portrait soon. I waited.. and waited. Ash has changed accounts to Vanimute on DA so I found her there and watched her. I continued to see her upload new art (none being commissions) but still I waited patiently! I take commissions myself and understand that sometimes you don't have the right inspiration. I also kept into account she was in college. A while passed and I discovered she was active on FA under the name Vani, not only uploading personal art but.. taking more commissions? I made an account on FA just to follow her and wait, still very patiently though! It came to the point where she was continuously opening commissions, until finally making a journal about her to-do list/queue. The one we know ever so well http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643/ My commission is a year and a half overdue at this point, you would think I would be at the top of the list? I am all the way down the bottom! At this point I was done patiently and silently waiting. I voiced my feelings, albeit in the open but I think I had the right to. You can find the conversation here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2014394/#cid:16534744 I generally like to be a kind person and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, even after being told it was my responsibility to keep in touch with her. Also if you read her reply, it is full of excuses (valid or not) and not one apology to me (I ended up being the one apologising?). As a commissioner myself I feel it is my responsibility to let my commissioners know if there will be a delay, also at least have the decency to own up to your mistake, have some humility and apologise?? So after feeling like the bad guy, I noted her on FA, here is a print screen. Note how I am still very understanding! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash1.jpg Well, that note was never read. I couldn't understand? I was told to note her! I waited months for a reply, it still says in my outbox that it has not been read. So I sent another one, this time I did not sugar coat my feelings. I was done, this was unacceptable. She still had $50 of my money and not one apology. Here is the note http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash2.jpg After this on not being read, I discovered I have to email her school account? Awesome! So far we have gone from Vanillakitsune@DA, Vanimute@da, Vani@FA (all of which have been abandoned) and now her school email. I sent the same message to her but via email. To my surprise I got a reply. I got an apology, we worked out what I wanted. I gave her 5 different characters to choose from. All different species and levels of fun in hopes this would be helpful. In these emails I reverted back to being kind and understanding, hoping to not upset her. I understood she was stressed and made a mistake and honestly didn't want to ruin any chances of receiving my art. This was the 7th/8th of June 2011. I received an update 2 weeks later, with some sketches. Awesome, it looked like we were getting somewhere. I replied saying I liked them, thanked her and hoped for her to continue. 2 months I waited, and sent her an email wondering what was going on. I didn't receive a reply. This is getting quite long, I promise it ends soon! I then discovered her on TUMBLR. We are so far away from commissioning her on Vanillakitsune. Tumblr has an ask system so some months after the email I sent, I sent an ask about it. I don't have records of what was sent, but I expressed my unhappiness again and stated this was unfair. I was told since I found it unfair I would get a refund. If I remember correctly a few weeks passed and I had to send her an ask again! This time the reply I got was her paypal email, telling me to send her an invoice for the refund and that she would have it by the end of the week. I sent it on the 6th of December. I received the refund 2 weeks later, on the 20th of December, 2011. I commissioned her on the 5th of August, 2009. I am happy I got a refund, although it took a look of persistence. I remained nice and understanding the majority of the time. Forgave her constantly and chased her around the internet. While I finally got my money back, so many others are not this lucky! More of us need to share our stories. People need to know that commissioning Ash is a bad idea. We need to stop being scared of her fans and hurting her feelings. She may have nice art and be popular, but not saying anything in public seems to be allowing this behaviour. She has run away with hundreds (maybe thousands?) of dollars, and continues to do nothing to right her wrongs but rather make it worse! Hopefully one day this will end. I hope that she can change her ways, own up and make up for her mistakes and complete any overdue art/refund people. It will take some time but she has dug this hole and continues to to this very day! You can only be supportive and forgiving for so long before enough is enough.

I sent $26 just so the number would be even. I am aware that you're not supposed to pay extra to cover the fees but at the time I didn't know this.) WHEN: Payment sent March 21, 2010 Proof of payment. PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1284224/ Journal where commissions were offered. (March 21, 2010) EXPLAIN: I commissioned Vani for two icons in March 2010. In the journal she does state that she wouldn't be getting to these specific commissions until May. So I did not expect to see anything until the summer/fall of that year. There was really no concise list of her current commission queue, but in the journal where she offered these commissions she made it seem like she didn't have that many to do. Around December 2010 she posted her commission queue: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643 I kicked myself when I saw how massive her queue was, had I known she owed that many commissions I wouldn’t have commissioned her in the first place. A year goes by and I figure it's time to contact her and inquire about the status of my commission. I tried to contact her through FA on June 28, 2011. The note was never read. So on September 19 I sent her an email, I never received a reply. (I can provide screens of the email and the note but I wasn't sure if that was necessary.) Her tumblr is active and she has a new DA page with new art posted: http://stripesandteeth.tumblr.com/ http://maplemutesandtea.tumblr.com/ (not as active) http://www.stripes-and-teeth.deviantart.com/ I don't really know how much of it is commission work and how much is personal work. I didn't start to worry until I saw a question that she answered on her tumblr about why she left DA and FA. On September 23 I sent her a note through her maplemutesandtea tumblr and I did receive a reply. I responded back telling her I'd be happy to wait for the art as long as communication between us was good. Needless to say, I did not get a response to my second note. (I would provide proof of that but tumblr doesn't keep a record of sent 'asks'.) February, 29 I decided to try to contact her again through tumblr. I forgot to take a screen of it before I sent it off. But I had asked her how things were going and if she needed refs. I figured after almost 2 years she probably didn't have my character refs anymore. She has not responded to that note. On March 11 she posted to her tumblr offering more commissions. I’m a little disappointed. She has a queue of 50+ commissions that she hasn’t made good on, yet she’s taking on more work. I'm glad to see that she won't accept payment until the commission is finished but... What about the rest of us? Vani is a talented artist and I really hate to see her dig herself into such a deep hole. I didn't want to make an A_B entry about anyone, let alone Vani. She took on more work than she could handle and I know she's very stressed about it. But I wish she would communicate with me. I am patient and I am willing to wait quite a while as long as the artist stays in touch. I sincerely hope this can be marked as resolved someday.

She talked to me as If she would be doing me a favor putting my art with her Christmas art...when my commission was supposed to be a gift in OCTOBER that I told her about multiple times, and she continues to ignore that acting like its a HUGE favor to allow my commission to go with over due Christmas art. She also previously gave me multiple due dates and such as listed above, NO progress images were ever given. EXPLAIN: I asked her multiple times about it and she never responds, got two responses, one trying to charge me more money for what I already paid for going against our agreed price She told me that she did not agree to it, when I proved the message to her she simply said oh ok and let it at that. Have not heard from her at all, trying to get a hold of her. I paid her 6$ up front and was planning on giving her 15 more after the art was done, but at this point im not sure its even worth it. She has done other commissions over mine over and over again. No progress on mine. I am annoyed especially because i was her original first commission on FA and she was great for it, and she has treated me very poorly as a repeat customer.
  17. Feb. 5th, 2012 at 11:56 PM naughtykitsune Who: Shiroiyuki Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shiroiyuki/ What: A full colored commission When: Going on for close to a year now Explain: Well in October I was recommended by a friend to check out her art which I did and I brought a commission from her at the time because she was open and had reasonable prices. So she posted a journal (which she deleted) saying she was giving a special on pics for $25. this my transaction http://imageshack.us/f/838/incidentone.jpg/ pg/) this is what i asked for http://imageshack.us/f/826/incident2.jpg/. So I brought a spot. She posted a journal right afterwards saying she was depressed and having an art block. I decided to wait because people have that problem. this was posted afterwards http://imageshack.us/f/252/incident3.jpg/ In November I got tired of waiting and looked at her Commission Queue to my surprise my name wasn't there for a commission so I contacted her which went well and reasonable. So after a few days (again...) a new journal was posted saying she was taking new art and such. So then of course another journal posted about an art block. Later that week other people art was posted and still my name wasn't added to the queue. So I was fed up with it and filed a refund because I was tired of waiting and being ignored. So of course instead a well way to settle stuff in a mature manner I got a rage note saying "No I'm not refunding you your money its not my problem this was well hard earn money so don't give me the BS''. She made threats to me as well saying she was going to sue me.shown here http://imageshack.us/f/545/incident5.jpg/ . Let me point out that I got no update on my art so I went to my bank who is set up with paypal and filed a dispute for my money back because I felt scammed and the fact my bank had a flag with her info . She later posted a journal calling me a rude uncalled for name and deleting it due to her getting raged at for speaking to her clients that way. Later along in the year she is posting pictures of stuff she buying and then writing journals later asking for money. This new year she has decided to start on people art but still has an attitude issue where is uses very rude language in her terms and commission queues. shown here (hhttp://imageshack.us/f/850/incident4.jpg/ Recently she has went MIA from her account with more people money she begged for a tablet and she has left her account without doing people art. shown here http://imageshack.us/f/600/scammerza.jpg/ She recently returned with pics of tattoos she has gotten along with a journal full of rage against those who were very unhappy with her taking too long and felt she used the commission money she owe to get the tattoos http://imageshack.us/f/268/rudeness.jpg/ This issue has been resolve. She has refunded my money so no need to comment here anymore.
  18. Feb. 10th, 2012 at 2:36 AM alex_dachshund I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/ I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried. I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs. WHO: Sciggles WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any. I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted. I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could. Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd) Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th) After a while, some time had passed. I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st) She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update. Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally. Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd) Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions: Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st) I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art: E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd) The e-mail has NOT been responded to. After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her: Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th) EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg I am just really unsure what to do at this point. She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices. I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet. EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg My reply: http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg I replied, and she sent me this nasty snarky e-mail afterwards: http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg My reply: http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them. EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there. I consider the matter resolved. http://oi42.tinypic.com/1567rlu.jpg I have also Unwatched and blocked the artist. Will never do business with her again. VERY annoyed customer. I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.
  19. Feb. 2nd, 2012 at 3:40 PM ryunwoofie Who: Sviperin (original account I dealt with), squidmnd, Ms.Delicious Where: Furaffinity.net When: Little before February 16th, 2010 What: Trade, traditional badge Info: Unfortunately most records of the earlier transaction have been deleted so I apologize about that. Anyway, about two years ago I posted a journal asking to do some traditional badge trades. That post has been since deleted for I don't keep my journals for long after I tend to finish what is on them. Sviprein and a few others inquired. I was really into Sivperin's character so I was excited to do so. It took a week or two to finish (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3431926/) and a little later it was laminated and mailed to her. I have since forgotten about it until a year later when I found out her account was compromised/hacked and was banned. I honestly forgot after a while then contacted her on her new account Ms.Delicious. First Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000pk75 After I contacted her I waited patiently since October 12th, 2011 with new information about what I wanted done. Since then she said she was busy with school, which I can relate. But since then she has pumped out a lot of icons and other commission related stuff so I once again inquired about the deal. At this point I was a little miffed that she kept keeping my trade off at this point. I tried to ask for something smaller and easier for I just wanted something/anything at this point. Second Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000szz5 After I noted her the last straw and the final idea/info she put immediately posted a journal stating she was going on hiatus. I myself find it very suspicious and rude.. She read my last note but has not responded. At this point I have no idea if she'll just account hop again and avoid things. I just wanted to put this out there for others to see. Journal time stamp screenshot w/ profile spammed w/ 'HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS' : http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000r3wp Originally I had NO intentions of making an A_B about this trade until she decided to be immature and run away on a "hiatus" with no response or good reason... Very very disappointed. Edit 1: Got a response http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000trt9 Will update if she follows through. Edit 2: Resolved. I'm sad that it had to come through here first, but I'm glad I got something from it. Thanks. :3 Edit 3: Final 'apology' and image http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000wktk http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7336256
  20. Jan. 31st, 2012 at 12:06 PM arctic_wuff WHO: orthan WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/orthan WHAT: 2 character commission paid in full up-front. WHEN: Payment was made May 1, 2010 with commission details and such being discussed at the end of April 2010. PROOF: Other than the FA notes, work was never started. See screen captures under cut EXPLAIN: I don’t have all the logs any longer (had a harddrive failure), but after paying the artist in May I agreed to wait until June 2010 for the work. Then artist requested more time and I allowed that. After that point getting a hold of the artist became very difficult and replies seemed to stop coming. I have requested a refund from the artist and have seen nothing yet. Unfortunately the paypal buyer protection time had passed so I was unable to file for a refund with paypal. RESOLVED: After getting a hold of the artist again I was able to get a refund.
  21. Jan. 5th, 2012 at 5:31 PM mozz1 I have reason to believe I was scammed by an artist on Furaffinity It happened about year ago, I met with an artist online who was just starting out, but seemed promising. Me and him established a good friendship, and coincidentally we only live maybe 30 minutes away from each other. So we decided to meet up at a restaurant. We had a great time, and left on a really positive note. But before we left, I gave him 20 dollars cash for a color and ink commission. The artist in question is named Furinkazan, and here is his FA page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/furinkazan/ Shortly after me and Furinkazan met in person, he began talking to me less and less on MSN, until he decided to eventually block me for reasons unknown. And for months, I could not get in touch with him. I tried sending him only a few PM's through FA just to see if he was still active, which he did not respond to. But I knew he was active, as he was favoriting others works, and occasionally posting his own. At that point I made a very grave mistake which I wholeheartedly regret doing and posted on Furinkazan's shout box something along the lines of: "Thanks for stealing 20 bucks from me" That shout was immediately deleted by him, and he left a shout on my page, marked a year ago, which you can see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mozz/ It says: "I never said I wouldn't finish your commission, so don't accuse me of stealing in a public arena when I've stolen nothing from you. If you have something to say, note me." Even though it was a bad idea, I figured now he was finally going to talk to me, I PM'ed him back, and the conversation is as follows: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm1.png So it would appear, it all worked out in the end. Well not quite. Even though we made up, I still never got any commission from him, but I did wish him happy holidays: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm2.png We then clarified what I wanted my commission to be: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm3.png And that was the last time we talked. He still blocked me from MSN, but he promised me that he was going to do the commission. A half a year passes, and still no commission from him. However I'm still being patient, and when his birthday comes around, I leave a shout on his page wishing him a happy birthday. He leaves a shout back on my page, which is still there that says: "Thanks! I'll have your stuff done soon, sorry it's taken so long." What I did next might have probably put him over the edge, and it was also something stupid I did that I regret doing. Last month on September 5th, I left a shout on his page saying "Happy one year anniversary that I still haven't got my commission! :D" Well that shout was quickly deleted, my name was removed from his owed commissions list, and I was blocked from his page entirely. I was not trying to start drama, I was merely stating that its been a year now, and I still don't have my commission. I completely went about it the wrong way So now a month later. At this point, I don't care if I don't get my commission, or if I don't get a refund, I just want the community to know that Furinkazan is a scam artist, and to not make the same mistake I did. I tried contacting several different FA administrators, but they all ignored me. Finally as my last step, I made a thread on the FA forums, and a few civil people there redirected me to Arists_beware, since it is quite clear from that thread, that they do not care that there is a scam artist still at large, and that I am the one at fault somehow, that I was harassing him. Here is a link to the thread in question: http://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/108723-Scam-artist-on-FA Well apparently from the thread the issue was resolved, at least for the moment. After much consideration, I gave furinkazan my home address so he can send the refund through the mail, as shown in this PM: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm4.png Well it has been three months later, and I still have yet to receive that refund, which I kind of expected I wasn't going to receive. I admit completely, that there were moments where I should have handled the situation much more appropriately, and not have said some of the things I said. Unfortunately, I cannot take what I said back, but I did apologize for what I said, and understand it was wrong to do so. But I still feel that does not excuse the fact that it has been a year and a half that I paid this artist for a simple piece of artwork that I will never receive, plus the fact he probably has no plans on refunding my commission money.
  22. Jan. 4th, 2012 at 1:00 AM sciuraamethysta WHO: Kimhana on Livejournal and Deviantart; formerly kimhana on Tumblr, URL now taken by another user WHERE: Deviantart (since deactivated) found here WHAT: A $40 full color digital picture WHEN: The commission was discussed and paid for in full in September of 2010. Contact was made again to check in as of January 2011; over the next few months, various accounts of the artist began to deactivate (LJ and Tumblr, specifically). Numerous emails to multiple addresses were not responded to in August and September of 2011; as of December 2011, the artist's Deviantart account, where the commission was originally discussed, was deactivated. PROOF: A screenshot of the original commission is here (with discussion of the prompt interspersed with personal conversation blacked out for convenience of reading) and a corresponding Paypal screenshot with emails blacked out can be found here . EXPLAIN: It absolutely breaks my heart to do this, as Kimhana remains a favorite artist of mine. If anyone has any information on her, why she's been deactivating, etc, I would love to hear it. The fact that she's dropped off the face of the internet hurts far more than the possibility of losing a commission. From what I can understand, it seems that she switched fandoms and then proceeded to delete her old accounts. For now, this is the most logical series of events that I can piece together. Best case scenario, she's forgetful and the commission slipped her mind and got brushed under the rug as her interests changed. But in the end, if nothing changes, I have to strongly advise against commissioning her. RESOLVED - After a few messages, the last of which mentioned the posting here, she responded on Tumblr and was very apologetic. She offered me a number of options, including a full refund. I took her up on the refund, and she has delivered. Thank you all very much for helping me to resolve this old problem - I appreciate it. :) EDIT: Added Paypal information, clarified Tumblr address, and added links to dead pages. SECOND EDIT: Turns out the Tumblr I originally linked was, by an eerie coincidence, an entirely different person. Please disregard that. THIRD EDIT: Evidently she is indeed still very active on tumblr, but under the changed URL http://neophytecherryglare.tumblr.com/ . ...and asking for commissions. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

WHERE: DA https://www.deviantart.com/laseros FA https://www.furaffinity.net/user/laseros/ WHAT: Digital Art WHEN: July, 30,2017 to Ongoing EXPLAIN: Alright so to start this was a wonderfully normal interaction between an artist and commissoner that desperately needed help. Hearing from a friend this person needed it I decided to do so and here are those interactions. https://sta.sh/21sj3oko36j0?edit=1 See? Normal. Now this is when it starts to get bad. I noted her after waiting till Jan of 2018 seeing I had heard nothing from her not even WIP's Then again in Mar seen below https://sta.sh/01lchc0oot1w This was never responded to. Now, carrying on I started noticing journals going out. Now, I understand crap happens and all but it became more strange when I kept seeing more and heard absolutely nothing about my commissioned piece back in July. I bought another piece in a small emergency journal https://sta.sh/21u1znxuq0b?edit=1 Not a problem! Was done live stream and everything! Ok! Awesome so waiting a bit longer I noticed more journals as seen below. https://sta.sh/21rdlvl91hrq?edit=1 https://sta.sh/01h6279lkmev So, waiting a bit longer I was finally added to her discord group and therefore was able to get in contact with her via the messenger https://sta.sh/21ypoz22u92p?edit=1 ( Read more... ) Here became a slow progression of feeling overwhelmed with having to gently ask what is going on every now and then. Finally after waiting for a long time with no response I officially gave her an apology and asked for a refund if not a partial as seen in the proof above After waiting and waiting I have yet to recieve any kind of payment or notification from her. This is still an ongoing problem.
  24. On September 21st of 2018 Kircai posted a journal, that has long since been deleted, offering up "Nintendo Themed Commissions" I jumped at the chance to get one, requesting a pic of my sona dressed as Majoras Mask link while also having been regressed with Skull kid/Majora teasing him about playing the song of time too many times. The finalized pic did NOT represent this, and Kircai was very rude towards me, neglected to give any form of progress pics or sketches, and ended up blocking me so i couldn't let him know i was displeased with the final product. This was the final pic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xj12f7dtxwgx7g/Nintendo - Guba 2.png?dl=0 The only proof i have of him accepting the commission is the paypal transaction: https://i.imgur.com/bvAAR6U.png No further notes or messages were exchanged, other then a comment form him saying he had received payment and would get to work right away on the journal he has since deleted. I opted not to bother Kircai for over a month, as a previous attempt to speak to him resulted in a very rude response and him telling me not to bother him. After a month of not hearing anything from him I tweeted at him asking about the pic, he gave the following reasoning for not giving any updates: https://i.imgur.com/42WFwuF.jpg Everything seemed fine, he gave a reason for being delayed, wasn't rude, and said he would have an update 'tomorrow'. But tomorrow didn't happen, in fact i didn't hear anything from him for another 2 months, during which time he took on piles of new commissions, deleted the journal on FA, and even stopped posting to FA altogether. Finally i decided to tweet at him again about the commission after he opened new commissions for the new year (and had posted a couple as well), but this time he was very rude, made up multiple excuses, and even tried to blame me for his delays: https://i.imgur.com/MyRkvBe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qh4tCgz.jpg He proceeds to lay all the blame on me, claiming i "Didn't fill the form out correctly" and that caused him to "draw the wrong thing" then my attempt to ask about the commission (which he states in the previous message i didnt reach out, then says i did in the next?) caused him to rush the work and mess up. Then he tried to tell me in the same message that he was planning to do a second free pic for making me wait and because i was 'patient and kind', again saying this in the same message where he blames me for everything. I attempted to point this all out to him, explaining that if i did the form wrong he should have asked me to correct it prior to taking payment, as well as him taking on new commissions, and tell him that i didn't 'reach out' because the last time i tried he told me not to bother him. From there he just kinda goes off the rails, i attempt to apologize for making him feel rushed, he claims he owes me NOTHING despite not even doing the commission i paid for properly, then blocks me. https://i.imgur.com/LbcQMPx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Z9kSwTN.png https://i.imgur.com/17wBKn1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hXHvxYk.jpg
  25. Dec. 26th, 2011 at 1:19 PM poizenkat WHO: Shivra WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shivra WHAT: three derp badges http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ WHEN: October 9 2011 is when i paid PROOF: Sadly i deleted my notes and do not have where i stated exactly what i want, but i do have paypal screenshots here; http://i40.tinypic.com/24viaeg.png http://i43.tinypic.com/2a9ruk8.png EXPLAIN: I paid for one rainbow dash derp, and two derps of my characters (Li-Li and Blue). These were to be picked up at furfright; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2783126/ http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2808943/ Okay, so I find her table at furfright only to be told that she forgot them and will ship them to me for free after the con. That's fine, a while later i even see this journal; http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2841802/ and thought "awesome, im pretty sure she has my address so i'll get them soon!" but...nope. never got them. so i sent her some small reminders blah blah, no reply. I see a journal that she moved so...okay? http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2925667/ i was fine with that, i moved recently too and understand that things get hectic. So then i see an entry pop up here about her http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/550360.html and contact her straight there. I also see that she doesnt accept notes for commissions now and only does them through email (which i did NOT know because all contact was previously done by FA's note system in the first place) so i sent her an email. a few days later i left a shout on her FA as well. Now it was possibly a bit rushed and i didnt have patience, but since it seems that they had the time to ship other people's orders I'm just a bit worried as to why she wont ship mine. I know that at least the rainbow dash and Li-Li badges are done http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6647697/ so idk. Edit: She JUST contacted me before the entry was accepted (kinda creepy actually LOL) and says she has to redo them because they are lost. It seems that her main problem is actually shipping them out, so i hope this ends well. Edit 2: Just got them today, I'd like to mark this as resolved, thanks!
