About Me

  1. As of December 1st, 2017 I came across an advertisement listed on Furaffinity's home page for a fursuit head sold by blueraccoon23 for a flat price of 400 dollars plus shipping. I promptly messaged her about it and showed immediate interest to her and a payment arrangement was quickly made within a couple days. The conversation continued and we agreed to a payment plan of 50/50 through paypal. The first paypal request was on December 6th, 2017 (Sent from her through goods and services) for the amount of 215 dollars. (200 for half the commission and 15 for shipping through USPS) And was paid by me on the date below (December 8th, 2017) After the first payment, commission details were discussed. Including possible additional pricing for other items on the fursuit head. Originally the extra price was going to be included in the second paypal request. But she had the materials on hand to do it a different way so it wasn't in the second payment of 200 dollars through paypal goods and services. She requested the money through a Furaffinity note message on March 17th 2018 for the amount of 200 dollars. And I denied it at the time. In retrospect this should have been the first indication that something was wrong when she was asking me for money out of the blue, when there was no date set for either transaction and she made multiple mentions that there was no problem with the delay of transaction. The above date is when the invoice was sent on April 3rd, 2018. And it was paid by me to the amount of 200 dollars on May 9th, 2018. During the entire month of May, a string of messages from me went unanswered by her for over a month. Ending with her last communication via furaffinity note message on June 2nd, 2018. (The length of the screen captures show text from previous messages to keep consistency between posts) Inbox messages, showing the long gap between her responses. Outbox messages, showing the unanswered messages from me to her. I sent one more note on July 31st, 2020 that went unanswered. No more communications between us occurred on furaffinity. By October 3rd, 2018 I messaged her on her business email account. Found on her Instagram, website, and also through paypal. From that date until October 16th, 2020, she only replied once and 7 messages went without reply. (Again, screen captures are kept long to keep consistency. These are gmail messages in PDF printer format. Bottom of the page indicates 1/1 pages on all screen captures to show no replies are missing or falsified) During all of these emails, on May 23rd, 2019 I found her telegram account by using the same name, Blueraccoon23 and messaged her, she replied in roughly 1 hour. Over the course of 17 minutes she sends 5 messages and then never responds again through Telegram. The email attempts continue on September 15th, with only one message sent in the thread. Finally I ask for a refund on October 16th, 2020 with the details of the transaction included. She mentioned in her one email response to check her Trello account, because that's where she updates her commission queue. She never added my name, and the names that are in her queue currently have been on there for well over a year. Her Trello can be found here: https://trello.com/b/H0ZXIlhr/bluecoons-creations Her last update was May 10th, 2019) Her Instagram is: https://www.instagram.com/blueraccoon23/ and at the time of this post, the website listed on her Instagram is no longer a valid web domain: www.bluecoonscreations.com and that was the only place that I know of where her Trello account was even listed in the first place. [removed by staff for proxy: Remember, posts should only talk about your issues with an artist. Not other people.] So in short, if you ever see blueraccon23 (Jasper on Instagram) Don't commission her. There is a high likely-hood that you will never see your name on the queue, that she won't ever respond to you, with possible lost money and lost time.
  2. On September 30, 2019, I was made aware of a special auction Mischief Makers was holding on Dealer’s Den. The auction was for a summer 2020 completion commission slot. Tweet Link Archived Tweet The promised deadline was the catalyst for my bid on this auction. At the time of the bid, I was not made aware that Mischief Makers had a queue going back years. I had a positive experience commissioning them in 2016, so I expected this commission would be another positive experience. PLEASE NOTE: Mischief Makers (or Dealer’s Den) has removed the auction listing, so I cannot screencap it. It now leads to an error page. On September 30th, I sent my design to them for approval, and the design was approved. I won the auction for $7,100, as shown in my Dealer’s Den history here: I informed Mischief Makers of my auction win on October 12, 2019: I received my invoice from Mischief Makers, and sent the payment shortly after: I did not receive any communication from Mischief Makers from October 2019 through April 2020. Concerned about my commission’s deadline, given the summer deadline advertised in the auction, I reached out to Mischief Makers on April 1, 2020: When I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, I followed up on April 7, 2020 and asked them when I should send my DTD. At this point I became aware that the auction page was removed either by Mischief Makers or by Dealer’s Den. I did not receive a response to my email. I contacted Mischief Makers via Telegram. I sent a message on April 5th that was unanswered. My message from April 8th was answered: In this message, Mischief Makers informed me they would improve their communication. I decided I would be patient sometime longer. Fast forward to July 2020, I sent Mischief Makers some follow up messages via Telegram, asking about the start date to my commission. My messages from July 13 and July 20 were not answered. I started looking around on Twitter to see if anyone else was having trouble with Mischief Makers, and came across numerous people indicating that Mischief Makers was ghosting them on commissions that were years old. After some callouts from other customers, Mischief Makers posted a Tweet on July 27th acknowledging their poor communication and committing to fixing it. Link to Tweet Link to Archived Tweet I sent an email to Mischief Makers after reading this post on July 27, 2020, in which I expressed that I was not willing to wait for them to finish their years long queue to get to my commission, as the commission was advertised with a specific deadline, and I bidded accordingly: I also sent this same message via Telegram: I did not receive a response to either message. I followed up on August 18, asking for a chance to discuss the commission. This message was not responded to either. On August 22nd, there were numerous customers discussing Mischief Maker’s lack of communication and lack of commission progress or updates within in the Mischief Makers Telegram Chat. One customer noted that Mischief Makers had a queue of 28 suits, with a number of other customers not present on the queue. At this point, an individual named Keitel came forward and asked that customers direct their inquiries toward them. This message was placed in the Mischief Makers telegram chat: On August 29th, I contacted Keitel per these instructions: I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 1st: I continued to not receive any communication from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 8th again. At this point, I was informed that my suit was delayed, but that I should get my suit by the end of the year, and that it would be worked on alongside other suits. I found this reasonable, and hoped for the best. Fast forward to December 2020, and I hadn’t heard from Keitel or Mischief Makers regarding my suit. Given the new promised deadline, I became concerned and contacted Keitel on December 2nd asking for an update, and when I should send my DTD. On December 7th, I still had not heard from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel again: On December 8th, Keitel responded to me and said that Mischief Makers hadn’t responded to them yet. On December 13th, I informed Keitel that Mischief Makers still hadn’t contacted me. Keitel informed me that Mischief Makers had not contacted them either. At this point I informed Keitel that if the suit wasn’t complete by the end of the year, I would expect a refund. On December 14, I followed up with Keitel and informed them that Mischief Makers still had not responded. On December 15th, Mischief Makers finally reached out to me. The message I received from Mischief Makers was as follows (along with an indication that Keitel seems to no longer be involved with communication): I informed Mischief Makers that I was happy to give them more time if I could get consistent communication and a reasonable frequency for updates. I asked them when they expect the suit would be completed. As of December 21st, today, Mischief Makers has not answered my question despite having viewed it. I sent this message today: At this point, I am sad to express that I do not trust Mischief Makers will provide me the consistent communication or updates as I have requested. My willingness to accept a later deadline is contingent on trusting my fursuit maker will not ghost me and will continue to provide updates, even if the progress is slow. The silence has spoken. At this point, to resolve this situation, I would like a refund of $7100.

It seemed like she was working on it a month after noting her, with head progress being made in July 2011. A few months go by with no real updates; just a few IMs here and there. I wanted this fursuit to be done near the end of September 2011 because I was going to a furcon in California and Onai's agreed to have it done by then. (Sorry, I don't have proof since I've lost all my older Skype logs between her and I.) End of September comes by and the fursuit wasn't completed in time. No problem, I suppose, I can wait a few more months, I guess. A few more months go by and Onai's uploaded another image of my fursuit. It looks like she's making some more progress in my fursuit, can't wait to get it! Another month goes by and another upload of my fursuit head! A few more months go by and I am becoming anxious if or when my fursuit will be finished. I message her here and there and so does my mate, asking when it'd be finished or how's progress so far. She typically says it's doing well or she'd have some real life issues and pushes back the fursuit progress. More months go by and still no progress. I am now getting even more worried and anxious. I left a shout on her page--which she quickly removed and messaged me on Skype--and now all I hear from her and see are excuses of pity and stories about personal life instead of any information about my fursuit I had commissioned. At this point, I am quite upset by all of this, to the point that I only want a refund, not the finished product. I would be satisfied and move on with close to a full refund, if not a full refund of the $1250 I gave to her ontop of shipping costs of sending two DTDs. I don't think that I would enjoy actually receiving the fursuit anymore at this point, simply because of all the disappointment that I would associate with it, wanting it for so long, and only seeing progress and updates of others while mine remained in the shadows, ignored and forgotten, much like how I have felt.
  4. Oct. 16th, 2012 at 5:58 PM violet_foxx WHO: lightningvampirewolf WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lightningvampirewolf/ WHAT: a pair of fursuit ears WHEN: August 22nd initial contact and money sent EXPLAIN: Never received items or any proof they were worked on or shipped. Initial contact: August 22nd (Highlighted my words in blue, her words in pink.) Agreement on how much will be paid: August 22nd Proof of payment: August 22nd I asked when they will be completed: August 24th. They said Tuesday which would be August 28th. August 29th, asking for an update. September 3rd, asking for another update. September 13th, after FA came back up, I ask for proof or a refund. No response for a while, but I get this. September 30th, still haven't received anything. September 30th, still no pictures. October 9th, ask for refund, still no real proof. I got pictures of some foamed ears but they also conveniently had another pair of foamed ears just lying around, so I highly suspect the foamed ears are just the ones "lying around". No contact has been made since then, I've never received a tracking number or any pictures, and I've opened a dispute, with no contact back from the seller. I'm going to escalate it to a claim. I wouldn't advise commissioning this person for anything. Edit: 10/22/12 still haven't received anything in the mail, no tracking number, no pictures, no contact. Edit: 10/29/12 PayPal resolved the dispute in my favor and I have been refunded the full $38. Edit: 5/5/14 screenshot of LightningVampireWolf offering art as compensation on 12/6/12, after the refund. I declined, and no art was received.
  5. Aug. 7th, 2012 at 4:20 AM stevehusky Who: MurphyErasmus (Furaffinity) Don't know any of her other aliases http://www.furaffinity.net/user/murphyerasmus/ Where: Windows Live Messenger/ Hotmail, Furaffinity What: Fursuit partial commission, including a head, tail, feet and hand paws. We came to an agreement of 200$ for the partial, to be paid in 4 separate installments of 50$. All 4 installments were paid. All that was left was shipping charges, which we agreed wouldn't be paid until after the suit was completed. When: July 19th 2011 - We came to an agreement as to the price and what was going to be in the commission. The partial fursuit with the head, tail, feet and hand paws. We agreed that 200$ would be the price excluding shipping that would be calculated later. We also agreed that the suit would be paid off in 4 separate installments. July 20th 2011 - I sent her the first installment of 50$ Which is noted below by the paypal receipt. The payment was sent to [email protected] Later that day, she messaged me saying she wanted to get started right away and ask for the second payment earlier so that she could buy the materials. So 2 hours or so after the first installment was paid the second one was sent, once again 50$ to the same email address. As shown by the screencap July 25-30th 2011 - She contacts me again with a status update and states that she had begun work and that everything was going smoothly. She then sent me pictures that are linked below. August 8th 2011 - I sent her the last 2 payments, both each of 50$. I noted in the description section of paypal that these were payments for a fursuit. Like the first two payments these were sent to [email protected] and they are proven by the screencaps of the receipt. August 9th 2011 - She contacts me on msn to state that she has received the payments and that I should be getting the suit sometime around October, and that shed message me on FA sometime during October when it was finished. I don't message her again until November 1st because I assumed she was working on it and I didn't want to be a bother. November 1st 2011 - I message her to enquirer about the fursuit cause she failed to contact me about the completion. November 7th 2011 - She responds to my message and states that she might be dying of liver failure so she hasn't had time to work on it. She states that a few things needed to be fixed on the suit and states they should be done soon. I sent a response saying that that was ok, cause of the "circumstances". November 16th 2011 - She responds to my message and states that she was sick and didn't have time to work on the suit. She also stated for the in-convince that I would receive a few free badges, and pictures as to were she was in the progress. I ask if I can receive the pics by that Sunday, she stated that she could do that and it was never done. When I messaged her back. I got no response. I send more messages after this inquiring what was happening to no response. February 7th 2012 - She finally responds to my messages from November 2011. She now states that she still hasn't done anything on the suit cause she was facing eviction and cant afford to feed herself. She gave me two options, she could either finish it or just give me a refund. When I stated what I wanted, her to complete it, she responded with an ok. March 1st - Present - I've been messaging her every two weeks inquiring about the fursuit. She has yet to respond to any of my messages and it was at this point I have come to believe that she just took my money and ran with it. I've also commented on her FA page and gotten no response. August 1st 2012 - Friend of mine also comments on her page about the fursuit commission. The comment was deleted the following day. Proof:
  6. Please note that this person has multiple names, the only name he was going by was legal names so the usernames mentioned are from Telegram and email, I do not know if he has a Twitter, FA, whatever. I know AB has a rule about legal names, hence the hyphening of the last names, however I only know the names through what I've seen and searching came up with nothing. He has multiple PayPal emails with the name mentioned but in parenthesis "unidentified," they come back to 3 completely different names. It should also be noted that in the Telegram chats (mentioned below, which are deleted so I have no proof) there are two other people mentioned "involved" in this transaction so I feel it is worthwhile to have multiple names for the beware. Some time in late April "Hyperion" contacted me through Telegram about purchasing a fursuit I had for sale, a white tiger partial for $2,000 plus shipping. He later asked me to add in a fan and the total came out to $2,082. All of these receipts were deleted by him and he has blocked me on Telegram after the emails below were sent, possibly in an attempt to not have me write this beware on him or use it against him with the PayPal claim, however I still have all of the payments sent for the suit. These were sent every month for varying amounts until the final payment was sent in August. It is unclear if the fursuit was purchased for "Hyperion" or a friend he never mentioned by name. First payment (email is to Alex) Second payment (to Max) Third payment (to Alex) Final payment (to Alex, name is father's and has been censored) On August 9th Max sends me an email detailing that he would like a refund because the moving jaw does not work on the costume, despite me providing sizing on the posts about the fursuit being for sale. I offer to show him how to fix it or a refund for the moving jaw, but not for the suit as a whole. He declines and wishes to send it back. I have been in quarantine for several months and forgot, hey, we're in the middle of a pandemic and he has mentioned that multiple people have tested the suit. I decline to take it back, all sales are final, and he chooses to ignore this, pressuring me to take the suit back and claiming the state/county he lives in has no cases (this is one of the states on my state's restriction list). I cite this again and he does not respond after that. Mentioning of sizing for the head On August 30th around noon I receive an email from PayPal without a word from him that a claim has been filed for $445.99, citing multiple issues with the transaction. More chargebacks while the client still has the suit: Plus each chargeback has a $20 charge, totaling $80.
  7. I have never written a Beware before. I didn’t even want to make this one, but this is completely unacceptable and future buyers should be aware. This is a small time fursuit maker by the name of Majeste. Back on June 23rd 2020, I purchased a custom set of puffy paws with claws after having talked details of the design and other pertinent information. I was quoted $190 and paid the full $190. Remember that price was QUOTED TO ME, because it will be relevant later on. Majeste, at first, I had no issues with. The paws were going to take a little while and that was fine, that had already been established up front. The design of the paws was reviewed and I picked out my fur and minky fabrics that would be used to make these paws. I was under the impression that the fabrics that I chose WITH Majeste’s help would be the exact furs ordered and used on my paws. I don’t get any updates for a couple weeks, which again, is fine, I was aware of the time frame for paws turnaround. However, the issue comes in when Majeste sends me a WIP photo. I could see the backing of the pink minky looked strange, textured, but I don’t sew, I don’t work with materials, so I didn’t know. I wasn’t concerned at this point. I had no reason to believe the fabric was not the fabric I chose. The next photo I received was of one finished paw. This is where the major issue comes into play: the minky on the paws was NOT the minky I had chosen/agreed upon when the order for the paws was placed. I had been given no prior indication of this change. At first, I sort of glossed over it. It was devastated, but I didn’t want to become a nightmare customer or cause issues. I assumed Majeste would have a solution in mind. Majeste did not at all offer to fix the problem up front, she did not even address it until I did first. As if it was no issue. I still wanted my paws, but I was extremely unhappy. I paid for a service and product, and neither was delivered as promised/agreed upon. I paid $190 for paws the way they had been discussed, not with a change in minky. I will admit, I became more agitated and less willing to accept this work as the conversation went on. At this point, I did not want to prolong the wait time, and I did not want to be treated as an inconvenience. I suggested upgraded shipping as a fair means of coming to a resolution. Majeste would have to make no refund, no alterations - simply mail the paws with an upgraded shipping method. This is where she becomes extremely aggressive with me. She tries to have me pay MORE to even FIX the paws in the first place, otherwise they won’t be fixed. She tells ME that MY behavior is unacceptable and tells me I’m scamming her. Scamming her after I had already paid the $190 for my paws. Right. She continues, saying she already discounted my paws (I never asked for any discount, Majeste herself quoted me the price of $190 from the get go, as mentioned earlier) and if I want things to be “fair”, I’ll pay the difference of her “usual” paw price and she’ll fix them. Needless to say, I was extremely upset by this interaction. As a paying customer, I felt completely sidelined and overall unhappy with the finished result of my custom made product. Now, I’m going to have to have these fixed myself. In the end, Majeste did ship them and provide a tracking number to me. I do not have the paws in my hands as of writing this, but I would like to update based on the quality of the paws I do receive. There are LOTS of screenshots, as this is the entire conversation as it took place on Amino. Please. Proceed with extreme caution if you are considering working with Maj-Mania749. Attached are all the screenshots of every interaction I had with Majeste. I included everything, even the conversation bits, so there’s nothing lost and all context is there. Hopefully it’s all in order!
  8. So I bought this fullsuit for 500$ + 50$ shipping on Instagram and the seller wanted me to pay with the "friends and family" option cus she needed the money to ship it. She (SnowAngelSuits) said she was gonna fix some holes and send it about 3-4 days later. When I hadn't heard from her by day 5 or 6 I reached out to her asking how it's going, but she wasn't in any hurry to reply until a few days later, saying she spent the money (including the shipping money) on other stuff and can't afford to send it until she gets a refund from someone else. I had to reached out to her multiple times through out all this to even get her to reply, since she never contacted me whenever she said she would. She kept coming up with excuses throughout all this. After this I unfortunately don't have anymore screenshots cus we came to an agreement that I would pay for shipping again since she apparently couldn't afford it and that she was going to look for cheaper shipping options (like shipping it in two boxes etc) to save money since I live in Sweden and not in the US. But she never got back to me with a price for the shipping, so I messaged her 2 weeks back from today asking how it was going and that she might as well sell the suit to someone else instead for a higher price so that I can get my money back and so that she can earn some money from it also but she never replied and now she has deleted her Instagram account so I can't contact her there anymore, and the conversation disappeared also.. I've tried asking my bank for help but they can't do anything without a "real" receipt with an order number included. And since I paid with the "friends and family" option I don't think I can get my money back through PayPal either, but I still tried messaged them about this so we'll see.
  9. Undelivered Commission I do realize I have been waiting for 6 and a half years for this suit. I have been trying to be understanding and patient with Clementine about this commission. However, after this long of a time period, her lack of communication, her every changing replies, and numerous excuses I have decided to move forward with this post. Below is a timeline of the communication between myself and Clementine and also her boyfriend the CFO. Back in November 2013 Clementine was having a black Friday (artistic freedom with limits) sale and I decided to buy it. (I believe the original post was on furbuy, but not 100% sure) The commission was for a full suit for $1280, with a deposit of $576 I sent the deposit to her with a money order within a few days (because if i pay with PayPal I need to add 5% according to her TOS....which is a violation of PayPal, however that's not what I'm concerned about) I was under the impression from her ad on furbuy that I would pay the rest once it was completed, so I waited. April 22 2014, I receive an email asking about the rest of the payment, and I replied that I thought I was supposed to pay when it was done and before it shipped. September 13 2014 (yes 5 months later) I receive another email telling me she does not work on anything until the payment is in full. This is when the excuses start, her first reason is work is super slow until they sell their house. We go back and forth for a little bit about paying and I send her money orders in early October for the balance ($704) All during October 2014 she sketches up some designs and sends them over to me and we decide on one Mid October she tells me she hasn't received the money orders and I end up having to call and get them stopped and reversed which took quite a while. During November 2014 I had a huge expense (over $5500) and told her I had to hold off paying the rest until it got sorted out. We went back and forth on emails for a little bit and that's the time she started getting disrespectful to me saying how she has bills that are way past due. She ends up getting angry with me and tells me she may cancel my commission and it is on hold "indefinitely" she also tells me that she has used my whole deposit to buy materials. I ask for a refund at this point, and she tells me that there is no refunds and the deposit is non refundable ( I also would like to point out she has not asked me to sign any contract at this point) She ends up blocking me on facebook in December, so I am no longer able to message her. She instead has her boyfriend (the CFO of her company) emails me and says he will conduct business with me from this point forward. December 24th The CFO tells me that I need to make the remaining checks payable to him personally, and I refuse. I told him that my business is not with him it is with Clementine and i will make the checks payable to either her or make them out to fruitsuit creations. He then tells me I can make them payable to Clementine. December 29th 2014 I sign a contract for the remaining balance Since the contract was signed I mailed the payments as follows Jan 15th 2015 mailed $200 ($100 plus $100 credit) - it was received on Jan 21st -- see below for paid in full email Feb 23rd 2015 mailed $100 - it was received on Feb 28th -- see below for paid in full email March I had a few extra bills and had to use the $100 credit from Jan -- see below for paid in full email April 14th 2015 mailed $200 - received on April 19th -- see below for paid in full email May 1st 2015 mailed $204 (the balance) - received on May 8th 2015 (paid in full) and was told I was moved to the "working queue" Clementine sends a newsletter out 4 months later with her working queue and I am not on it, on the list is 2 heads, one partial, 3 on hold (with the commission names). She tells me there was some confusion and she will update it. She does not. October 14 2016 (yes a year later) She tells me she is finishing up 2 heads and I'm a few spots down the line. Jan 13 2017 she tells me there are six in front of me, 2 of which are just heads **April 2017 more excuses that she has several breakdowns a week and it's hard to concentrate and work on commissions. April of 2017 is when something odd happens.....there is another person commissioning her for a rush suit, I'm not sure if I can mention names, so I won't but there is another artist beware about Clementine from this person. The odd thing is that they paid for this nearly 2 years after mine was paid off, but she was sending WIP pics to this person and I have yet to even be told my true place in line. April 2017 she tells me my place is "one less then last time I told you" **July 2017 more excuses of bad side effects from medication, mobile and cognitive Impairment, horribly depressed , separation anxiety, hysterical crying spells 3-5 times a day [Verified by staff. Lots of medical information.] July 8th 2017 she tells me "i believe there are 3 or 4 in front of you" **September 2017 more excuses of her injuring her shoulder September 2017 She gets mad at me for asking where I am in line saying that I've been waiting for a long time, she tells me that there are people waiting longer, and I signed a contract that has no completion dates. Dec 11th 2018 (another year later) she tells me "trying to get this done so I can move on" **January 2019 more excuses of her cat being sick, and not having a place to live with her workshop May 29th 2019 after 100 excuses from her I am told "Thank you so much for your incredible patience! I do wholeheartedly promise that I will make your wait worth it!" **August 2019 more excuses of her Mom being sick (not posting conversation due to her privacy on her mothers health issues) Dec 15th 2019 after more excuses I am told "I really can't thank you enough for your patience.. and I promise I will go above and beyond to make it up to you, and everyone else I've let down.." May 16th 2020 After asking about my place in line yet again, I am told "i believe you are 6th in line."....I then send her screenshots from 3 years prior of her telling me that there are 3 or 4 in front of me. she tells me she must be looking at the wrong copy and will get back to me. _________________________________________________________________ I feel that I have been beyond patient with her, I can be sympathetic to what people are going through, or if they have things happen in their life that they need to just stop for a little bit (which she did have a few which I did not include in here due to the privacy of her family) However, with whatever you are going though mentally or physically and still traveling to many conventions and fursuiting while injured instead of working on your obligations, or even keeping me informed about anything that is going on in 6 and a half years, doesn't seem like a good way to conduct business. Waiting 6.5 YEARS from ordering or 5 years from it being paid in full with her story ever changing about where I am in her line, and excuse after excuse, (which I found another post with the same issues) has gotten me to this point of frustration where I feel I need to let others know. Especially since she has taken other commissions AFTER mine and has worked on them before mine. Clementine has shown me that she doesn't seem interested in working on my suit by not letting me know anything about it, and the things she has told me she contradicts herself many times. For example, about what she has bought for my suit (she tells me she didn't buy anything, then she tells me she has the fur from a previous project, then she tells me she used all my deposit for supplies) another example is my place in line. I'm not quite sure if there is any bookkeeping in where she works on things, but she doesn't seem organized at all about what she is working on. There should be an exact answer to that question, I am not sure why I can't get a straight answer from her on that. She has not posted any updates on her working queue or anything of that sort in a few years, so I am not even sure she has one. I had asked a few times early on for a refund which was refused, I even had said if she is unable to work on it at all that's fine, I can just get a refund and either do it myself or get it elsewhere, I have asked for a transfer to another person and that was refused, she seems to be banking on the contract saying is does not have any completion dates, however that doesn't give anyone the right to take money and not deliver a product ever, and I think 6 and a half years is way beyond the time limit to wait for something like this. I feel that I have been very lenient with her and tried to compromise but her excuse after excuse has led me to make this post. Along with her lack of communication in her work order. In the 6.5 years there has been a ton of emails and messages so I couldn't put them all so forgive me for such a long post. Please think twice before commissioning anyone, and feel free to reach out to those who have commissioned a person in the past to ask about their experiences. I was willing in the past to work with her in the past on this problem asking her what she needs from me in order to get her working on projects, (I even sent her a link to an industrial sewing machine for a good price because she was complaining about her needing a new one), but her lack of communication and concern about this commission has led me to believe that she does not intend to provide me with a product. I am however still willing to accept a refund and turn this post to resolved, if she is willing to refund my payments.
  10. I was looking around for a new fursuit bodysuit to order, since I was heavily dissatisfied with my current fursuit quality. A friend of mine recommended that I went to Sugar 'n Spice, since CorpseCat (the maker) was hosting a tax return sale, and was offering a bodysuit (only) for $950. I sent her a message, and this is how it started off. I sent her a full down-payment, the DTD, and even the fur colors that match the rest of my fursuit, all the next day. I sent her a reference, as well as a very length description. She said that she totally understood, so I assumed that this was going to be a good commission. I asked when the bodysuit was going to be done, and she said that it was going to be done around MFF of 2019 or sooner. She promised that progress photos were going to be included. I asked for my fur samples back that I sent her (so that I could send them off to another maker that was going to make my new fursuit head). I gave her my address but she never sent them back. On 8/31/2019, she said that she was almost done with the bodysuit. She never sent a single progress photo. She is also claiming that the fur colors are not exact to the ones that I sent her, but they are incredibly close... Lots of nudging later, still nothing. She claimed that her boyfriend has been in the hospital, and sent a picture (cropped out the picture for privacy). She has made plenty, plenty, plenty of excuses in the past about her health in the past (you can find them in almost any beware about her). 1-2 months before the deadline, and I asked her yet again if the bodysuit was on-track to being completed on-time. Her responses are predictable: Lots and lots and lots of asking to try and get ANY kind of photos from her. She brings up another health excuse with herself (which, as fake as it seems, I'm still censoring it for privacy reasons). At the bottom of the next screenshot is when the bodysuit is supposed to be done. No photos were sent. She brought up that the bodysuit wasn't going to work with my current fursuit paws and feet. She offered to make me free paws and feet, at the expense of delaying the TAT more. I asked later how long that it would be delayed, and she said that it could take another month. I was fine with that, but I asked for progress photos again while I had her attention. Guess what? Another medical excuse. I eventually lost it at this point. About a month later, I still received ZERO photos and ZERO updates about the suit being made. I looked at her WIP Telegram channel, and I didn't see any photos of my suit being in there. I called her out in this next screenshot, and this is when I began to lose it. She said that she was going to send photos, but once again, nothing. At the bottom, when I said that I was going to start taking action, that's when I decided to write a script for the YouTube video (at the top of the post) that was going to call her out and her poor business practices: I asked for her response one last time before making a video about her. She said that it's prepared to get shipped out, but has NEVER sent me a single progress photo: She finally sends photos on February 11th. She admitted that she ignored my reference in order to make the hip markings look more visible. I corrected her, and she said that she was going to fix it. I resent her the reference to show her how the hip markings are supposed to look: They are three fingernail-looking markings that are on each side of the waist. She made the markings go completely around the back. I asked how long that it was going to take to get the markings fixed. She said Friday (so three days at the time) until they were going to be fixed. I asked her for photos before she sends them out, and she said that she was going to send them when she gets to her office. Nothing happened. I asked again, she brings up another fake health excuse. She later sent me an image of the hip markings without any changes, and she said that she was confused about what was wrong about it. She waited over a month before telling me this, even though she said that she knew what she had to do, and that she was going to take three days to fix it: In this next screenshot, this was the time where I finally uploaded the video that I warned her about. I was going to give her a last chance before posting it. This is the last time that I've heard from her. I'm assuming it's because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but either way, her Telegram said that she hasn't been online within a week. She promised that she was going to send it out, and I never gave her my address until I saw the final product: This is the last that I have heard from her. I got into contact with PayPal, and they said that it's been past 180 days, and they cannot do anything about this situation. I paid CorpseCat through a bank account that I closed in the past. I got in-contact with this bank yesterday (4/21/2020), and they said that they can't do anything about the transaction because my account has been closed for so long. I am $950 poorer with nothing to show for it. I attempted contact with her multiple times, and nothing has been happening since then. When I created this thread, it showed that she was seen last within a week. Since I updated these new screenshots, it now shows that she's been seen recently. Meaning that she has been online but hasn't read my messages. I warn/advise everyone to stay away from this maker. There are four bewares about her on the first page of Google when you type "sugar n spice fursuits". This fursuit maker is unbelievably toxic, and I do not want anyone to order from her, either. It was partially my fault for not doing my research before ordering from her, so therefore, I want to make sure that nobody else does the same. DO NOT ORDER FROM SUGAR 'N SPICE!
  11. Product was listed by seller in multiple "dealers den" chatrooms on the app Telegram. The product is a fursuit/costume head base made of upholstery foam primarily. I was interested in the product and contacted the seller with inquiries. I asked them "can you tell me more about it?" [image 1], and was only told the price, location of product for shipping costs, permissions with the product, and other materials provided. This product was to be purchased from the seller, I would fix it up and make it into a character, and resell it once the product is completed. This was understood by the seller, as we had discussions about my permissions with the base and the character it was to be made into. Upon arrival, the product was not only crammed into a box that was too small [image 2; showing the size of the product and the box itself], but it also reeked of cigarette smoke. Upon confrontation, the seller confirmed that their mother smokes in the house [image 3]. I cannot clean or sell a product that has been this exposed to cigarette smoke- it is a hazard. There was an attempt to clean it before I contacted the seller with my complaint, which included drier sheets on the interior, and spray cleaner on the exterior. Nothing seemed to help. Seller also explained that they can only "do 20% nonrefundable on any refund"/"u will only get an 80% refund," but this was not provided in a Terms of Service beforehand (on Telegram or Paypal) and was not discussed whatsoever. I did not feel comfortable following through with this offer, since it was given once I brought up a refund, and it is even less than what it originally sold for. During our conversation, I also discovered that the seller is using a Paypal account that is not in her name [image 4]. I am providing buyer with a tracking number for the returned product. As of April 22nd, Jaime claims to have re-sold the fursuit head base that is not even in her possession yet[images 5 & 6] (not until an expected April 25th). Jaime managed to advertise that it comes from a smoke-friendly home [image 7], HOWEVER, Jaime refuses to do so in other ads [image 8]. Overall, extremely unprofessional, rude, and does not seem to care about the safety of their customers. Original ad: My friend inquiring about it, and then forwarding it to me:
  12. Zeska Roo/Daze Otterson had made a post on his account saying he needed money, so he discounted his fursuit prices (post was deleted, so I do not have a screenshot of that). I was wanting some indoor paws because I really enjoy the aesthetics of them. I commented on the post and we took it to PMs. Here we are hashing out details of what I wanted. He states that they don't do invoices. It off set me since I just comissioned someone who did do invoices, but I know each artist is different, so I didn't pay any attention to it. Proof of payment I ask if he has a queue of any sort, he claims he is working on a trello. After a month and some days, he gives me a -sorta- deadline, so I don't bother him for a while. November 6th, he asks if anyone is wanting to get a fursuit. I contact him on November 26th, I message and get no reply or even left on read, so I ask for a refund. He sends his friend [redacted] to speak to me (screenshots ahead has his face blocked out because he's not guilty in this and I feel uncomfortable with having his face in this) So I go to telegram to talk to Zeska/Daze (last 4 of number is blocked out) He has posted again on FB saying he's no longer on post block as seen in the screenshot below (but I didn't see it till some days after since I had unfollowed him) So after radio silence, I messaged on Telegram (seen in screenshot 9) and after a little more silence, I messaged on Facebook (screenshot 6) Here, he is seen still posting on Facebook after my message on Telegram. And here he is seen still posting after my message on FB. I have since forced a refund as seen in the screenshot below. I don't know if others have had this issue, so that is why this is under Artist Caution.
  13. Back on June 27, 2019 I commissioned Nakooma for a predesigned fursuit head, the cost of the head was $200 and the extra $5 was for any Paypal fees (later on I gifted them $20 due to them saying in a post on their profile that they really needed it after someone forced a refund, I dont really care about the $20 they can keep it). From June to October I was given excuse after excuse as to why there were delays. Last I received any messages back from them was October 17, 2019 where they had promised progress pictures, which I never was sent. Since November 20, 2019 to now I have messaged them with no answer, during this time I know they were talking with ppl on their Furry amino (which is now deleted) and had completed a couple commissions that were started after taking mine. Nakooma said they started working on the fursuit head but I'm not sure if this is true due to no progress pictures ever being sent. Neither my bank or Paypal can help me due to me taking to long to getting around to the issue and only suggestion I got were to "directly contact merchant for a refund", I had life stuff going on that distracted me from getting to this sooner though I wish I could get my money back it's much more important to warn ppl to stay away. Nakooma supposedly had life stuff going on back before June through November (last I heard) from what they told me but if there was too much going on they should've just declined the commission instead of taking mine to then complete other commissions and then completely ghost me. By now I have already left the DM I was in with them guessing that they'll never respond or they would never give my money back even if they did see my messages. I just wanna put this all behind me but make others aware.
  14. On November 24th 2019 at 11:33 pm EST I messaged Moki on Furry Amino, asking if they were willing to trade a Protogen Head (later head and Hand paws) for my Mini Partial Monster Dog suit (now referred to as Pound Cake). At 11:53 pm EST Moki responded and asked for pictures, very quickly declaring they “really love him” and accepted the trade. This sparked a quick succession of messages, us both gathering addresses, proof of ownership, and further information on each other’s suits. While I told them of my worry of having suits stolen, as I had problems with Pound Cake when I traded for him, Moki quelled my fears and we agreed to send both suits out at the same time the next day on November 25th 2019. We continued to chat, an open friendly conversation about different suits and the tracking numbers were exchanged. They found a problem with the tracking number I sent and I very quickly fixed it, it was a simple type-o on my end, but when I started raising concerns about the number they sent me, I was ghosted for many days. The suit was due to arrive on Dec. 6th, it of course never came. They once again calmed me down by reminding me it was around the holidays so packages get a bit wonky. Around this time Pound Cake arrived at their Customs. It was supposedly around 100 Usd to get it out of customs. They claimed to not have the money, then suddenly came into the money when their dad lent them some, and then suddenly was unable to afford it again. At the time I didn’t connect the dots but now I am fully aware this is the point where they stole my suit. At this point it was December 12th and the Protogen I traded for was still sitting in the post office because they “wouldn’t accept my address” After many days of back and forths they went on Vacation, promising to send it when they get back. In the messages below I contacted them On Dec. 23rd, a Monday, and then waited until the 28th to contact again. Through this whole time I was ghosted. They finally contacted me in early January (I have lost those screenshots) and asked to stop the trade. I agreed, thinking that Pound Cake was still in Customs. They told me that the suit would be sent back before the first week of February when no one picked it up. It is currently March when I am writing this beware. During the time of trying to get in touch with Moki, also known as HTT Creations on other sites like facebook, instagram, DA, FA, and patreon, I posted Warnings on their Furry Amino, and wonone got back with me. They gave me Moki’s insta, where they proclaimed to not know me, never traded suits with me, and then blocked me. I then messaged them on every site I could find them on, all listed above, to no avail. I even got in touch with Pound Cakes maker, and had them help me. During this time of trying to talk with them for the first time in months, I found out that they had already traded the Protogen suit, I am unsure if this was before or after our trade agreement but it it appears to have be either During or before our agreement since the suit they traded for has been on their social medias for a while. Leading me to believe they started the trade with me without having the suit. Below is the conversation between me and Moki on Furry Amino, ranging from November 24th, to February 24th when I finally stopped messaging them since they ghosted me for so long. That was the last I heard from them on Furry Amino. On March 3rd I got a message from someone (who wishes to remain unknown) and they gave me Moki”s Instagram. Below are the screenshots of the Instagram messaged between Myself and Moki/ HTT Creations on Instagram. Things may get a bit confusing since these messages were happening at the same time as I talked with Unknown. After clarifying who I was I was promptly Blocked. I continued to try and get in touch with them through all their social media to no avail, even contacting Pound Cake’s maker who also helped me message them, SourAppleSuits on Instagram was left on read and ignored. TLDR: Moki Coyoti/ HTT Creations agreed to trade their protogen suit with my Monster Dog suit named Pound Cake on Nov.24th 2019. They cut all contact after 3 months and I was told they would send him back. I never got my suit. March 3rd rolled around and I was contacted by Unknown with their instagram (known as htt_creations) and when I tried to message them they blocked me. I also found out they have already traded the Protogen suit for another suit before/during our ongoing trade. I am still blocked and have gotten no response. Thank you so much for reading, below is the last pictures I have of Pound Cake. He is currently somewhere in Ontario Canada. If seen, Report it as stolen to the local police and contact me On Twitter @Buttercream243, or by email [email protected]. A reward of an Artistic Liberty mini partial will be given to whoever finds and returns the suit.
  15. I first began the commissioning process with Beasthorizon back in February of 2019, where we spoke about what I wanted and they told me that a head would take 4-8 weeks : This agreement was reached on February 2nd, then I was not responded to for several weeks. When I reached out again they were able to answer within the day, claiming they had been injured but that my project still interested them, and that in 2 weeks my project would be first in line. This would set a completion date of roughly May 8th to June 3rd. Note: I say 'claiming' because they were able to finish a separate project without communicating to me at all. Over the next few days we worked out a 3d model for the head, and the base was printed after I paid my half down. I was told that they would contact me once the horns were finished being printed. I was never contacted regarding that. At this time, they posted on their twitter about making a model for a 3d head, and then finished the head. In their sales post they mentioned a new email to contact them at which was an email I had not been given. Since they made that tweet they deleted it, but I have a screenshot of the email I sent them after they posted it. Note: This is on July 26, already almost 2 months past the original expected completion date. My head was mysteriously halfway done without them ever contacting me. This has been a series of red flags I ignored because I was happy to see progress had been made. I am told by them in this email that everything but the LEDs will be finished by July 30th. On August 9th I reached out to them because they have mentioned on their twitter about opening commissions once again. I ask for a second set of horns, thinking my head is nearly finished. They agree to adding on the second set of horns. Looking at the time stamps, you can see that after they spoke to me on August 9th, they then never answered again for months. The time stamps read: Aug 31, Sep 23, and Oct 6 on this thread. On November 1st I sent another email to them, detailing the timeline of events up to that point and asking them to respond or face a chargeback and/or beware. They answered the next day, apologizing and offering that my head be finished or shipped as-is for the price of what I had already paid. I stressed the need to have my head by November 19th, and did not hear back from them. On November 13th, I reached out to them on Telegram after finding it and other information online that had been posted. I warned them about how I found that information, which has been censored here. They claimed they were finishing the final touches on my head and asked where it should be shipped. As of January 2020, I have not received any form of communication from them. They are still active on Telegram and have moved from Twitter to Etsy. If you go to any of their Etsy listings, it can be seen by scrolling down to the bottom left that they have been active on there as recently as December 19, 2019. They are offering customs there, while ignoring my continued attempts at contacting them. I have offered compromises wherein I pay more past the down payment to receive my head, still I am ignored. Shortly after January began, they removed my access to the fursuit head WIP folder, meaning they are aware of my attempts at contacting them and the subsequent Beware I was forced to write when they continued to avoid me.
  16. I won an auction for a Noivern fursuit a while back, and before I made my bid, I asked if the suit could be altered up a little to fit my size. She agreed. After winning the auction, I agreed to pay the extra charge, and I added her personal account on Facebook. Fast-forward to May 2016. I asked about updates, and there wasn't anything to show for. Fast forward two years, I asked again, and she claimed that her suit was lost in a move, and would have to remake it. Fast forward again, after more occasional and unsuccessful attempts at getting an update, this was the last correspondence where she had actually replied, which was on Discord. There has been no communication from her ever since that one message. I honestly should've made a post like this years ago, but what's done is done. And during this entire, years-long ordeal, she had continued to complete other projects, including other fursuits. I hope that this post serves to help people not go through what I went through.
  17. Disclaimer: there are errors on both sides and I will openly admit mine first and foremost. I delayed to ship the item out due to mandatory overtime and not having the opportunity to ship. Our area isn't good for having a postal pick up so me dropping off was the option at the time. I made sure to respond to Taks email inquiries about it to keep open communication. The other error was the possibility of the suit having a mildew odor. We had taken care of a mildew issue a few months prior in our basement (costumes are stored upstairs) and no one else spoke up about any smells so I didn't feel the need to state it in my auction as I normally would about any possible odors. I take 100% responsibility on that if it does have any odor. I wanted to provide options first as well as offering to send supplies to help make things work if they wished. Had I known beforehand it held a mildew smell I would have either listed it with a warning or not listed it at all. Included are the emails that were sent between us, the auction listing, and screenshots from Telegram. Most shots from Telegram were of other people demanding Tak keep the costume so I won't be including that as that's not relevant. INFORMATION WALK THROUGH: It started off as an auction sale that went smoothly. Tak asked to make payments and completed them at the end of June. Between going out to Idaho for my father's surgery in July (I let them know I would be gone) and mandatory overtime, I wasn't able to ship until the end of August, keeping tabs with Tak as they emailed me. They received the costume at the start of September and noted the strong smell of mildew a week later in an email and asked what could be done. I walked them through a baking soda and vinegar process I had used in the past with great success. I didn't hear from them till almost a month later on October 15th. They mentioned throwing out several of the pieces and purchasing an expensive cleaner that failed to remove the smell, asking if a refund was possible at that time. I got back with them Oct 20th asking what pieces remained to gauge the proper refund and offered to help them resell it if they wanted to. No response came till November 1st asking for a 2/3 refund plus cash to cover the chemicals they purchased as well as a list of things they had thrown away such as the arm extensions, chest padding, and tail core. The feet were also 'damaged' while washing. During this time I found telegram chats from the buyer in a Furry Business group making it very clear they had no intentions of returning the suit while others encouraged to do a full charge back and throw the costume out entirely. Most of the chat was others demanding they keep the costume/throw it away while pushing for a full refund. I've only included the screenshot where they are openly stating not wanting to send it back. Due to dodging my requests for it, I have no other reason not to believe that is their intention. I emailed her around November 3rd stating I would refund more than their asking price if they returned the item in question, I would provide the funds extra for the shipping. I figured I could use it as a "what if this gets fried in the dryer" tutorial before recording the leg pattern and dismantling the costume myself. I also offered to send one final cleaner I had here if they wished to try it. Their response was opening 6 PayPal claims in attempts to get their full payment back without responding to me or mailing back the costume. PayPal doesn't cover multiple payments on a single item so after providing the initial invoice as proof of it being one item, the cases were closed. I'm still willing to refund her a little over 2/3 of the auction with the return of the costume to me as it is. Since some of the pieces are either damaged or gone, I cannot refund in full. Had they returned the costume in place of the refund, I wouldn't feel the need for this posting. Since they ignored my return request and tried to do a charge back on the entire amount paid, I do feel people should know of this. They claim in a few of their messages that I said no returns were allowed in my auction. I have included the auction description section involving this to show otherwise. I have sent them 3 emails, one before they posted to PayPal and 2 after reminding them that I would give a refund around what remains of the costume and that offer still stands if the costume is returned. I don't believe they are a bad client as they generally did respond quickly and paid on a reasonable payment plan. That said, not returning the item and trying to force a full charge back is not in good taste so this is more of a cautionary rather than a beware.
  18. Hello, I'm somewhat new here. I've been having problems lately with my fursuit makers and I was recommended here by a friend for advice. I'll update with more information or screenshots if requested, but I'll try and censor their names. Back in December 2018, I commissioned a fursuit maker $4150 ($4000 + $150 for US shipping) for a full body shaped suit. They told me they would start mid-late August, and would have it finished by AZFC (October 25th). I sent them their starter fee and did a payment plan, finishing at the end of April. There wasn't much communication going on, admittedly, at least not much that pertained to the suit. I asked again at the end of June for an update, making sure the due date was still acceptable, and they told me they didn't do due dates anymore. I was kinda peeved, seeing as part of the reason I commissioned them was that I expected it to be done at that date, so for them to change it like that out of the blue was somewhat worrying, but after an email, they told me they made the decision to not do due dates after taking my commission. They stated they would still start my suit mid-late August, which would give them plenty of time for AZFC. In the beginning of September, I asked for another update and they told me I was slated to start that month...again, worrying, but nothing I could do. The next week, after I asked again, they told me I was scheduled to finish a few weeks before the convention. In the first week of October, they sent me a picture of a very early head, as well as the shape of the suit that's in front of mine (both of our suits are supposed to look very similar though, so they were using it as a guide for mine). At this point, I was starting to get worried about it not being finished in time, but I assumed if it wouldn't be done, they would update me. Unfortunately, I don't know much about fursuit making at all, and I probably should have guessed by then that they weren't going to be done in time. On the 10th, I found out I was going to be in the same state as they were on a connecting flight on the 21st. I thought this was a perfect opportunity: I could try on and pick up the suit from them, and they wouldn't have to pay for delivery (even though I technically already paid for delivery). Win-win, right? I told them about it and they agreed that would work well for them. The day comes, they message me to come over in the evening, send a much more updated picture of the head, and told me the suit wouldn't be ready. I was fairly bummed, but assumed they were talking about the shaped body; I could probably just wear the feet, paws, and head at the convention still, which isn't ideal but it's still better than nothing. I arrive, and only the feet were finished. The head looked finished in the photos, but was missing a zipper and a few other pieces, the paws weren't finished being sowed, and the body wasn't even started. I was pretty angry about it, but waited until I got back to the hotel to tell them I was upset at staying another day here just to not get something to take home, and they ended the conversation with "Look, I am trying to de-stress" and going offline. The next day, after arriving home, I asked if it was at all possible to finish the head and paws by the 26th and send them via overnight shipping, and they told me it wouldn't. They would send me updates over the next couple weeks. Today (11/4) I asked them for an update, and they informed me that they've both had to take on full-time jobs in order to make ends meet. They wouldn't have a home and have missed meals before because money wasn't coming in. "Once we have things more stable and a couple months worth taken care of, we will be able to give you a better estimate for a finish date." I'm honestly not sure how to proceed. I thought making fursuits was supposed to be a full-time job. Did they spend my money without delivering a product? Do I wait or make an ultimatum? Are they at fault here, or do I need to be patient? What's really stressing me out is there's another local convention that I wanted to wear the suit at that starts January 3rd. Should I ask for something by that date? Thank you very much for reading.
  19. So initially I commissioned them in January 2017 for a body suit of my bat oc. I do admit I didn't have a set date to give and was never given an eta on when it would be completed. I made a payment plan with them, so payments were sent at different times. Proof of payments: I paid 700 in total. I commissioned them through FA but getting in contact with them became a bit difficult, so conversations moved to Twitter. Read from bottom to top: After I tried to get in contact with them via FA and then their email, where I didn't get an reply. I contacted them on Twitter. Where it was still hard to get replies and updates on my commission. As seen it took several months for them to get back to me. I did my best to be patient. I know fursuit making isn't a quick process but we were into a year now. And they didn't have anything to show me, I could only take their word for it. Those were the only updates I received from West. With them saying they would draw the markings and cut up the patterns. I was happy to finally know progress was being made. Months go by and we're in 2019, it's basically been more than 2 years. And at this point I was fed up and requested a refund. They agreed to the refund and said I would have it that same month. Which was a lie and I am still waiting on a reply/refund. And at this point it's too late to do a chargeback. So I'm pretty much at a lost on what to do. I just thought I would warn people about their unprofessional business practice.
  20. Back in July 2017 I applied for Dubmutt’s fursuit opening for a slot on their January-May 2018 queue. I wanted a fursuit head of my character Loki, he was to have magnetic eyelids, septum, and plugs. Everything seemed to be going well, I received an email accepting my commission and we moved forward from there. My suit was to be $920 with a $276 down payment. July 14th, 2017 I received the invoice and July 24th I made the down payment of $276. On December 26th 2017 I finished paying the invoice, and was told swatches would be sent out soon and I’d get an update when work was started. I reach out on February 2018 to see when swatches would be sent out as I was originally told beginning of December. I also wanted to see where I was at on the queue. Dubmutt told me swatches would be sent a month or so before starting and that I was scheduled for beginning of March. March 7th Dub reaches out to let me know they may need to cancel a few commissions while they focus on their health and that I will be updated. April 19th I reach out to dub out of curiosity of if my project was to be cancelled or completed. I was told mine was still scheduled. A few months go by so I message Dub on August 15th, 2018 to see if there’s been any updates. I am told they are finishing up two other suits and they were hoping to get to mine soon. January 8th, 2019 I reach out again to see if there was any progress. January 12th Dub replies to say they are finishing 3 suits and mine will be next, and to contact them through twitter from now on. August 31st I message Dub on twitter since it’s been quite a while, I ask if there are any updates or even an estimate on when my suit would even be started. September 9th Dub posts a PSA to twitter stating that they will be leaving the fandom, but owed commissions will be done. I haven’t heard from Dub since January 2019. At this point in time, I have received no word about my suit even being started. Update: 09/20/19
  21. BUYERS BEWARE!!! I can finally make this post as the bank closed the cases in my favor... AVOID THE MAKER SPLOOTSUITS! I commissioned them for a head and bodysuit at MFF last year, in the amount of $1340. They only communicated once every few months, and would never provide any WIPs or actual updates to progress! Finally, they tried saying they would deliver the head in person through an unnamed 'friend' at AC, on July 8th, nearly 8 MONTHS later! Still, they would not send any updates, and when the suit never arrived, they made excuses to get out of any blame. Finally, after trying to resolve with them (to no response), I had to go through my bank, a nearly 2 month process of not knowing whether my hard earned money would come back. SO PLEASE do not commission or buy from @ Splootsuits. They will more than likely do the same to you. I hate having to make a post like this, but I feel like it is necessary. Above is the post I made onto my Twitter account, sharing this information before I learned of this website. I have attached a couple screenshots for this case. The two telegram screenshots are of the last few messages I sent to the seller. In addition is part of their excuse, their last message to me before their final loss of contact. In total, out of 8 months of waiting, I was only in contact for a total of 4 to 6 days interspersed within that timeframe. Finally, the last image is from my bank, showing the completed credits back to my account after all of these issues. These credits were officially added back today (Sept. 8th), as they were provisional during the time of the investigation.
  22. PLEASE NOTE: In any screen cap dated after April 4th 2019 I had moved and there is now a 5 hour time zone difference between she and I. (this means that it may seem like I am messaging very early, but for her it is 5 hours ahead of my time stamp.) I was directed to Tamsin (Tammy) via a friend from whom I was purchasing a fursuit head. I had wanted to commission matching hands/tail/arm sleeves in time for Confuzzled. Tammy and I discussed prices and materials and I agreed to pay once I got paid. (The total was 130 GBP which is about $160 USD). I paid promptly upon getting my pay check: After I sent the payment there was apparently a hold up in paypal where they wouldn't release the money to her until I marked the item as shipped with no tracking needed. I was concerned but did as she asked since I had no reason not to trust her. She specifically stated that she needed the money released so she could order the materials quicker. I had some issues come up and ended up not being able to go to CFZ (Confuzzled). Due to this I expressed that I did not need them finished by the con deadline. I was still under the impression that she had already ordered the materials because that was why she needed me to promptly release the funds into her account. After the con passed I didn't hear from her, so contacted her in order to set up a deadline. She expressed that it was a bit hard to do the deadline I suggested because of work/school. I tried to compromise and just prioritize the most important parts first. By June 14th I was starting to feel a bit ignored, as I would see them online and they would check my messages and not respond. The friend who had originally sent me to them (Cas as mentioned in screen shots) mentioned that there were some issues between the two of them at CFZ, and I became afraid that she wasn't communicating with me because of my friendship with Cas, as I had been told that she was answering other messages. I admit that my behavior was a bit pushy in these screen shots, but I have been burnt several times by fursuit builders and was feeling anxious. We agree here on a Halloween deadline and I express that I will make a new ref with the updates I had previously discussed. I make sure to mention that I absolutely must see some sort of work started in July, since they said they would probably start mid July, due to my paypal protection window. I am still fine with the Halloween completion deadline, but just need to see some sort of progress, or materials to show the project is in the works. They express they are stressed due to personal issues. Concerned that this commission is adding onto their stress, I offer to just take a refund in parts if they are no longer interested or have the motivation/time to work on the parts. At this point she starts to seem a bit aggressive, so I inquire as to her having purchased the materials in case we need to work out her shipping them to me and subtracting the cost of shipping/materials from a refund. I was told by our mutual friend that she didn't actually buy the materials, and so I requested pictures from her in order to just prove that she had bought the items needed, as that was the whole reason she asked me to release the funds, so that she could more swiftly buy the materials. At this point she makes excuses one after another on why she can't provide pictures. I give her a deadline on when I must see materials. I agree to a Wednesday deadline to see the materials that week and reiterate that she said she needed the funds to order materials promptly. At this point SHE offers the refund and expresses when her paydays are. I feel this was done because she had never bought the materials and knew she couldn't provide proof in the time frame requested. At this point I feel I am being scammed and lied to, so I agree to the refund and offer her the option of half and half payments on the 27th of each month. I leave her alone for the rest of the month until the 27th where I then message her and remind her of my email. I see her active all day and get no answer while our mutual friend confirms that she's been answering their messages. They finally respond and claim they were working and then go silent again. I get a bit snippy and let them know that I will just file a dispute if I don't get the half payment on the promised day. She finally makes time to attempt to pay me and then gets upset about paypal fees based on currency differences. I try to remedy this by adding GBP to my paypal options, but it still charges a fee, which I tell her I will cover. She sends the first half of the refund, I confirm I got it and then leave her alone until July 25th, where I just send a reminder of the email for the refund. After contacting on the 25th of July 2019, Tamsin expresses that she needs a bit of an extension on the payment time because she is at a con. I thank her for letting me know and leave her alone until the day that SHE set as the new payment day for the final half of the refund. I decided to send an invoice for the remainder to see if that would keep her from having to pay a fee on her end. She claims she can't pay and cancels the invoice. I express that I am not really wanting to wait longer, as I already extended the deadline to Monday (which was the day SHE asked for). I give in and ask her to give me a definite deadline on when she can pay. She ignores me and I wait till the next day (July 30th ) to message her again asking for a definite deadline again. She says she couldn't pay because she had bills. I express that I am unwilling to wait another month because I feel at this point she is jerking me around. (Our mutual has expressed that she' had been spending money on frivolous things, so I felt I was being jerked around and scammed.) She makes a snippy comment about "not relying on her as a source of income" and it really rubbed me the wrong way. I got extremely upset and rather argumentative, as I felt that her statement was in direct contrast to her own behavior, (taking my money and spending it at an event while not even purchasing my materials). Our conversation deteriorated quickly. She continues to claim she bought fur but cannot provide any proof (pictures, receipts, tracking on shipments, etc), and completely twists the situation to paint herself in a better light. (Claiming I wanted a refund because I was broke, when she was the one who chose a refund over just providing proof of the materials that she swears she has bought.) At this point I feel that I am being jerked around and that she has no intention of paying me at all, so I decide to take things to Paypal and open a dispute. I know due to me changing email addresses between payment to refund, that it will dispute for the full amount paid. My intention was to simply send her back the half she had refunded previously once Paypal handled the transaction if she was unwilling to work something out. She proceeds to completely go ballistic once the claim puts a hold on her account. She claims she was going to pay me aft 8 because she was waiting on our mutual friend to pay her for something. This is information that she NEVER once brought up until I filed a claim. She in fact explicitly stated that she didn't know when she'd be able to pay. I initially refuse to cancel the claim because I don't trust her at this point and know that she is a liar. I attempt to make arrangements for the mutual friend to just pay me directly but he can't, as he is doing a bank transfer to her instead of paypal. They claim they will send the money as soon as I cancel the claim and their account comes out of the negative. I make the mistake of trusting them because I am not out to hurt someone, just want what is owed me. Big mistake. I cancel the claim and she ghosts me completely. I send a couple of reminders and get nothing. Cas (the mutual) confirms later in the week that they already paid her, and I still am getting nothing from her, either messages or money. I decide to try to be nice and just leave her alone except to send a reminder on the 16th asking if I will get pair, then left her alone for the rest of August until the 27th and message her again to see if I can get this finished. As of now she has read the messages and still refuses to respond. She has been active on her Instagram (selling adopts primarily), but has failed to answer or send the money. In summary, she is a liar, a scammer, and a thief and I hope that no one else ever has to deal with her or falls for her lies. The below screen caps show her publicly available information / social media accounts so that hopefully others can avoid her.
  23. Jun. 12th, 2012 at 4:37 AM pyeklet WHO: Akemi/Flarveon/Poppy Pandacoon WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/flarveon/ WHAT: I asked her to make a tail for me and paid $30 in cash, this commission was taken in person so I have no digital proof of the transaction. WHEN: In around March last year I asked Akemi to make me a tail at a local coffee meet and paid her in cash. I told her the details and showed references from my FA page. I asked if it could be done by FurDU, a convention on the Gold Coast in Australia, which was at the end of April. She agreed that she could have it done by that time. I didn't ask her about it for some time even after the deadline passed, nor did I have any contact from her about it, I'm quite a patient person. I was the first to initiate contact again via PM in May of last year at which time she stated she had received the wrong fur and offered me a refund, which I accepted. She said it would be in my account the following Wednesday but then sent a PM almost a week later saying that she couldn't pay. I said that it was fine and I understood. There was no further contact on this matter until November last year when I again asked about my refund, this time over FA notes. She said she couldn't pay me because she had to put it towards bond and only gets paid fortnightly but would pay me the next time she was paid. I said I would contact her in a week but I didn't feel comfortable, I was following her journals at the time about her moving and I felt that if I contacted her again I would just get another run around. Finally in March this year I told her not to worry about the refund, I had seen her journals about needing surgery so I thought it might help her out and I didn't feel like flogging a dead horse any longer. PROOF: EXPLAIN: I did resolve this issue I suppose, by giving up (never got a note back after that final one btw although it was read). It was annoying that she owed me money but was taking commissions, selling suits, working and BUYING commissions (and a new Artslave suit recently?) but didn't have $30 to pay me.
  24. Situation: I ordered a custom suit from Lemonbrat in late 2018. With the understanding that the suit would be paid off 3 months prior to July, as I needed to suit to be finished and shipped in time for Eurofurence (leaving 12 August 2019). The terms of service changed somewhere in Febuary or March when I actually paid off the suit. Initial Deposit: https://images2.imgbox.com/3f/d1/LIZAfgSE_o.jpg Final Payment: https://images2.imgbox.com/89/8c/s9pQ3s2C_o.png Assurances on Finish Time: https://images2.imgbox.com/2a/50/9gHwLCC3_o.png They changed the refund policy from (cost of materials and labour will be taken from refund, and at our descretion) to (no payments are refundable) They changed there creation time from 2-3 months after complete payment, to 3-4 months for people who pay upfront. They also changed the deposit terms. I can't remember what the original percentage was, but it changed to 100% payment before construction. The person dealing with my suit told me that I was bound to the old TOS since I paid off the suit before the changes were made. From the time of being paid off I have had nothing but issues. Communication was extremely bad right from the start. I had to go out of my way to contact them every week or two to get any information. The suit was supposed to have started construction 3 months prior to July, and didn't start construction until the last few days of June. Giving them around 30 days to start a suit, a suit I had assumed they had already started. That was a shock. Image: Re-confirming a July finish: https://images2.imgbox.com/b9/d3/qhIVTi77_o.jpg I didn't recieve any progress update images until mid-july, the date the suit was supposed to ship. twice after that, I got assurances the suit would be finished and shipped by the 'end of the week', twice I was told this, and twice the deadline was missed, making three missed deadlines. My fursuit head was made into a mouse head, it had to be completely redone. My tail was made short and curly, and I was told that it was exactly the same as my reference image. When I pointed out that it wasnt - and therefore not what I asked for, they said, "Oh, but this is right for your suit - trust us." I pressed again, that it was not what I asked for an they eventually redid it. To my horror, they had made it supersized to the point that it would need carried. Even though I asked them to keep it long and skinny, and anotomically correct. Several extras have been added to the suit (against my wishes) to try and compensate me because they realised they messed up. They added airbrushing, they're bumping up the shipping to Express International, and now they made a oversized tail (something I didn't pay for or want) They're completely designing the suit they way the *think* it should look and not what I asked for, and its more than just a "style" thing. Tail (first attempt) https://images2.imgbox.com/90/17/Pa3F9l6Q_o.jpg Tail (second attempt) https://images2.imgbox.com/84/2c/iYrvQ5KF_o.jpg Fursuit references: https://images2.imgbox.com/e1/13/sFGrxjpO_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/5c/b1/GSVYWuhI_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/03/ea/izTVbu2S_o.png 1 out of 4 fursuit reference that was sent has not been posted here due to it being NSFW I get the feeling the person dealing with my suit is new. By his own admission, he had to pass on the fursuit head to a head artist to have it completely redone. They also said that a whole team is working on my suit to try and get it done on time, this is not a good sign. I have over 40 emails from Lemonbrat from my back and forths with them since December of 2018. I've uploaded some of those emails but seeing as there are so many, I'm gonna limit what I've uploaded, if anyone needs anything specific will be happy to add it later. Other images: https://images2.imgbox.com/3c/16/AoO5elCV_o.jpg (Tail argument) https://images2.imgbox.com/05/52/5NevIVAT_o.jpg (Tail argument) Other proof: Update: They've sent pictures of the suit. Update: 08.03.19 The suit has been repaired, and is now en route to the client. The email confirming shipping is being withheld to protect the client's privacy. Update: 08.09.19 Hi there, quick update. The suit arrived, with the ears fixed. Not sure how they did it, as I assumed they weren't going to. The suit is snug and fits neatly, and although I am excited and happy to have it there were a few issues: Minor Issues: - No care instructions -No instructions on how to fit cushions into the digigrade legs properly or how to put on. (a lot of trial and error to get it right) Serious Issues: -The suit arrived with fur stuck in the zipper, and the zip had been driven over and beyond the jam (I managed to fix it with some gentle tugging to release the fur from the middle of the zip but it was really worrying) -The zip is extremely tempromental and sticks. It requires two people to suit up and out. Almost got stuck inside trying it on (wanted to make sure it fit because of the issues previous) -The tail is detachable, and attaches with a belt loop on the rear of the suit. (this is something that kind of gripes me as it breaks the magic, but there's not much I can do about it. They claim it was the 'only' way to fix the horrible bulge they had on the rear of the suit, and it's still there, it's just less noticeable. Other points -They included the repairs with the cost of fixing there mistakes. I asked them to put the value of the materials only on the customs form for cheaper import fees. They bumped the price up to 600$ I suspect they included the price of used materials for the repairs to their own mistakes, I didn't like this, but I shrugged it off, as I didn't want to argue with them anymore. (A few friends have expressed that they feel the price is a bit hefty but I have no knowledge of these things so please don't take my word as fact here) Overall, I'm happy with the suit, I still have a few gripes about it, and clearly it was a fight to get it "this good" and it's still not perfect. I'm not trying to be a 'nightmare' customer, I just expect professionalism from a "big name" in the fursuit making community. A suit arriving with fur jammed, and run over with a zipper, no care instructions, and no instructions on how to actually use the "large cushions" they provided to pad out the legs is a little sloppy in my oppinoun. And then there's the issues that was listed on my beware previously. I feel they only went so far with there repairs to save their own reputation, had I not made the beware and kept pressure on them to fix the mistakes I don't know what the suit would look like, they initially refused outright to do any further repairs after the head recarve. If they did bump up the price of the material cost, simply for shipping purposes as a payback for all the repairs they did, I find that a little petty. All in all, I've decided not to go to Lemonbrat for anything again, and a lot of people have given me there support on this without asking, saying they won't even buy things from there stalls anymore. I appreciate all the support the AB team and the people who read my posts and twitter have given me. And if you chose not support Lemonbrat, that is your choice, but I wouldn't blame you. All the best, Camaro.
  25. So initially I commissioned them in April for a head base to be finished. It needed a nose, eyes, ears, and fur. We moved to telegram from here on and that’s when problems began to arise. They didn’t contact me at all until June when I asked about ventilation Bc of my health issues. I had to initiate the conversation. She promised me Tomu would be done in time for megaplex since she had since April. And it was a Premade base. Little did I know I was a ‘weekend’ project. Which I wasn’t told until I looked at their Trello. I began to text more frequently since, as you can see, I got little to no communication until July. And they hadn’t done a thing. This was when I realized Tomu would not be done. And I would have to wait. So eventually I decided to ask about a refund. Little did I know their financial issues were of their own doing. They used my commission money for non-commission related things. So In the span of 4 months all she had for me was a nose. They told me they didn’t even have the fur for my fursuit. Which I don’t understand as I paid them in April and this is in August. So where did my money go? I got rather upset when I saw her posting about me. So I finally set my foot down. After six months of torturous waiting and run around. I They began to ‘warn’ people about me. And that’s when I blocked and moved on when I got my money back. I got $700 out of the $800 I paid. Anyway we came to somewhat of an agreement. Until I finally began reading people who are to this day still awaiting refunds. Years of waiting. So I did a chargeback.
