Original commission was supposed to be a $150 character creation and ref sheet. Because I’m nice (read; a sucker) I agreed to drop the price to $100 for them. They agreed to this and paid. They told me to take my time and not rush I followed up with a fullbody sketch 8 days later, and received no response. I then received a PayPal chargeback for the full amount on May 15th. this is their Duff the Bunny ref sheet to connect their account since they changed their Twitter handle and locked their account entirely after they pushed the chargeback. super annoying cause if they had just asked I would have refunded them like $85 of the $100 (because I had provided a sketch already) but they went ahead and did a chargeback and because I tried to dispute it (again, like an idiot) I was then out $115 instead of the $100. Because apparently PayPal doesn’t care to vet any of their chargebacks at all. I provided full proof to them too. anyway, just don’t do business with that guy or his rabbit character. Full reference to avoid him in the future.

- The agreement was for 13 twitch emotes at the cost of $15 for each emote. Was a total of $195 but I rounded up to $200 (Proof in attached files) - Proof of payment is in attached files below - Here is the entire archive of the conversation between myself and the artist. I originally contacted them via twitter and after getting no responses for several months I resorted to messaging them on discord where I got a few responses. I blurred my name and the art due to not wanting to be recognized and harassed. I fear a public backlash due to their large following. I tipped an additional $5 for rushing the two emotes requested, and received no reply afterwards.

Hello, With a good amount of disappointment I am writing up my experience with rapgod/Mirthfulmaws/miraclekind/culledcrows. I commissioned Mirth for 6 character stills for my youtube channel in December 2021, and received them in about a month. I was very impressed and loved the art so I commissioned them again on February 4th, 2022. I ordered 5 more, with a total of $75. Since then, I have received one of the stills, and that was sent to me on March 2nd, 2022. I have not received an update since then. I messaged a check in every 1-2 months, and received a response that I would get an update soon. They gave me their commission specific discord account and I messaged them on May 25th. I never received a response there or on their main account since April 22nd, 2022. It extra sucks because I've been putting off videos until this set was complete 😕 Also, their trello hasn’t been updated since May 3rd, 2022. And they have been taking new commissions and ychs on furaffinity. I will try and file a chargeback, but I unfortunately sent it with paypal’s friends & family because it wasn’t the first time commissioning this artist. I have contacted the staff team on the Furry Nexus Discord server and they are handling it on their side as far as I'm aware. I figured I'd make this post, Mirth's list is medium length and I don't want others to go through this.

Back on October 13th, Fen made a post for a YCH I was interested in, and messaged them to buy the spot on the same day. Here's proof that the payment was made on Paypal And proof that the original piece was claimed - as well as its $65 price I even gave them information that would've helped them draw the character as best as they could. I hadn't heard anything after that point, not even confirmation as to whether they had received anything (money or the images themselves). Fen also had a "commission updates" twitter account, FennecFiles, so I messaged that account at the beginning of December hoping to receive answers. I made special note toward the end that I was open to amending the scope of the commission, such as simplifying the character or narrowing how much of the scene to draw, since I know artists can have a lot on their plates. Unfortunately, still no message from either account. Now, December was a hectic month for them. They had a medical emergency with one their pet cats they had to take care of, but they were also dealing with taking care of their own art as well as art related to their partner's Twitch streams. (Mainly stream assets, such as themed backgrounds or vtuber rigs, such as when they were playing South Park [SP] and Paper Mario [PM]) Granted, their partner could've held back from asking for stream assets - which would explain why Fen was trying to recoup sunk time by offering rigs in a SP/PM style since the basics were done - but this shows Fen was at least aware they had paid commissions still to finish, but either had other priorities or more important commissions to take care of first. I sent another message to SuperNinfendo in January, but this time it was because I'd commissioned a headshot from another artist and felt that it would've been a simplification [as in based off of this image instead of combining bits of A and B], but sent a followup message a week later since I wasn't sure if my tone came off rude. Unfortunately, I still did not receive any direct messages. Despite this, while it could very well be just venting in general, the timing of this tweet felt like it was vaguely pointed at my request since it was just a few days after my later reply of those two. I was not mad at the lack of them posting art at all - I know they'd posted art and other things, and do not always join their partner's streams - it's that I haven't been communicated to about my [I assume impending] commission, but they'd posted art that had been both taken AND finished after claiming my spot. Here's a separate YCH that was posted in December: And while it may not have taken a month to complete, a post from a month later clearly shows that they are able to finish in a timely manner (bottom left): At the end of January, there was finally a "response" from FennecFiles, though in the form of an apology post explaining their delay Having a person help with your blog is not a problem, but I would've called out the person previously in charge if they were responsible for dismantling the queue, though I don't know how close that person was/is to Fen (nor if the claim was real, admittedly.) Since they mentioned at the end that FennecFiles could be messaged with "further questions or concerns", I messaged them a little over a week later since I didn't want to be lost in the shuffle of the first days of potential inquiries. I received no response from them either - whether from CorpseKiit or Fen - and as is shown from my prior FF message, the reference/commission reminder message was not even replied to in the meantime. Since CorpseKiit was also someone to message (I'm in a mutual Discord server with them and Fen), so I messaged Chuck [Corpsekiit's nickname] directly. (At the beginning of April, since they had their own life struggles through March. I received no direct messaging from them on the matter, and no followups on any of the other blogs Fen runs as to if it was the right spot to message, yet one of Fen's tweets from a few days afterwards makes me believe they were at least made aware of my message to Chuck. Again, it could be just general venting, but my issue was not with their pace of posting art in and of itself. It's that being left in the dark for months on end as to WHEN it could/would be worked on is an entirely different feeling from if I was told "I won't be able to work on this until next October", at least in the latter case, I'd have a timeline as to when to expect the piece. I was reminded of the issue from a mutual in another server who brought up their plights, so that's part of why I am writing this. I figured I'd message one last time - albeit recently - directly to Fen on Discord. I know it's a simple message, and while I hope to hear back at some point, I have my doubts as to whether any remedies would happen - the art itself or otherwise. Even nearly two weeks out, still no reply on Discord either. While I understand that life may be handing them difficult cards, and they may be handling them well enough all considered, it shouldn't excuse them effectively ghosting me for so long. I gave them so much room to amend the YCH and request, but to have legitimate questions ignored so long has left a sour taste in my mind. It should go without saying that I would not recommend SuperNinfendo if you are looking for commissions.

I met Finley at AnthroCon while they were running a booth in the Dealer's Den. There were suiters attending the con in suits that Finley had made, and the tails they had on display were of good quality. We talked for a while about pricing a fullsuit, how long delivery dates were, how deep the queue was. At that point, I decided to commission a Full Digitigrade suit from them for $1600. Communication was great until December, at which basically all communication ceased. The only reason that Finley responded here was because I had 2 emails: I am open to marking this Beware as "resolved" if and when the refund has been processed on PayPal. New information as of 7/1/2019. I was promised a refund (partial in June, the rest in July). Finley has not been in contact since those promises were made. I've attached the email conversation below, and you can see comments for more info. At this point I'm forced to raise this to Beware status from it's current Caution status.

Shout opened for commissions in October of 2020 and being a fan of their work I jumped at the chance. I can't find the tweet with the original commission opening; sadly they seem to have mostly nuked both of their Twitter accounts. I have attached acceptance of the commission and proof of payment though. So I paid, and then... nothing. For months. I sent them an email, left them a shout on FA (which they deleted), tweeted at them, then tweeted at them AGAIN and still received nothing. Then I get a Twitter DM saying I will get a refund at the end of the month. I would rather have the art, but great! Sounds good. No update from them since. Radio silence. I even tweeted at their NSFW account recently and still nothing. I am guessing, judging by their TWO lengthy Trello queues and constant nuking of social media accounts and making of new ones that I'm not the only person this has happened to.

June 21, 2021: First sent message to Xoloitz via Telegram, inquiring for a commission. June 22, 2021: Details sent to Xoloitz for a three character commission: two of my characters and a character belonging to a friend. After a lewd comment on the size of my friend's character's junk, Xoloitz quotes a price of $160 shaded or $120 flat colors, and I approve the former. Payment of $160 USD is sent via PayPal that same day. (Note: NSFW content censored.) November 12, 2021: Xoloitz opens for commissions again. December 12, 2021: First inquiry to Xoloitz over Telegram regarding status of commission. Xoloitz claims to have forgotten about it and promises to get on it ASAP. January 23, 2022: Second inquiry via Telegram about commission status. No response. February 9, 2022: Third inquiry via Telegram. No response at the time. February 11, 2022: Inquiry via Twitter DM. No response. February 19, 2022: Inquiry via FurAffinity DM. no response. February 23, 2022: Xoloitz finally responds to February 9 Telegram inquiry, stating to have been in a car accident. February 24, 2022: Xoloitz sends a WIP. I ask twice for the characters' sizes to be changed and Xoloitz complies. (NSFW content censored in screen shots.) (Note: The comment "could it be possible to remove the comments on FA since we are already working on your commission?" refers to a comment my friend made on Xoloitz' FA regarding the status of the commission; however, I was unable to screencap this comment before it got deleted.) February 25, 2022: Xoloitz opens for commissions again. March 21, 2022: Message sent to Xoloitz over Telegram, asking for the commission to be finished or refunded within two weeks. No response. March 22, 2022: Same message as prior day. No response. April 5, 2022: Two-week time limit established on March 21 expired. No response. April 29, 2022: Yet another inquiry via FurAffinity DM. No response. I will consider this resolved when Xoloitz refunds me the full $160 price.

I reached out to @WyldTreeBark back in January 10, 2022. My intention was to commission 2 (which became 3) headshot expressions of my OC Wulden ($60). Conversation carried over into January 12, 2022 where I officially sent my first payment. I had followed them on twitter and interacted with them for a few weeks. They had offered another simple "derpy" expression so I opted to commission one of those too (8 bucks cheap, Commission request made Feb 17, 2022 with a payment sent Feb 21, 2022). As the days moved with no progress reports about my specific commissions noticed that they were experiencing some personal troubles. I let them know that I am patient so don't stress about my commission too much. That post was March 11, 2022. I noticed that through may and into June, this artist had opened up a few times for more commissions, and took on a few more, but I had not received a single notice or progress report regarding my paid for commissions. I made my final message requesting a progress report on their que to see where my commissions placed, and still received no response. After consulting a few friends, they brought to my attention that the last time they even looked at my messages was Feb 21 (the confirmation of payment). They promptly recommended that I just process a refund before it was too late. I have managed to get a successful refund from PayPal for the original $60 purchase, I am still waiting for the 8 dollar purchase. I have included the entire communication list (private messages) I have made with this artist as they have all been oriented toward the business I paid for. I have also included the two PayPal snapshots of my purchase confirmation, and included the successful refund snapshot too.

I am writing today to talk about a fursuit commission I got from Unluckydinobear, who goes by ABearFromSpace now, back in January 2018. Since the transaction is so many years old, I do not have the paypal payment sent screenshots, however, I can show the Telegram chat messages to show that I indeed paid $800 for the commission, and he still has not completed the work, but he's been avoiding making the suit and compiling excuses to this day. I was looking to get a fursuit commission, so I asked any friends to see if they knew any good makers or ideas to find one. A friend of mine, recently got a partial piece done from ABearFromSpace, so he told me his contact and I messaged him to see if he had any openings. I ended up messaging him, and by luck, he said he had room for one more in the queue. I felt extremely lucky, and knowing fursuits take time to create, I would have expected at most this taking a year or two, as long as I was getting updates I was fine with this. After sending character refs and other information, he gave me a quote of about $750. I was a little surprised since my friend got his suit from him for $400, but since he was one of his first commissions I understood the raise of price. With an additional $50 for taxes and shipping, I ended up paying $800 for the partial fursuit. Here I sent a partial payment for the fursuit, and ABearFromSpace tried to make conversation with me the next day which looks like he wanted to get me to pay the rest as soon as possible. After 10 days, he asked me again for the rest of the payment. While I was able to pay the rest of the suit by the end of the month, it was understandable here how he just wanted to make sure the rest of the payment was going through soon. He also offered to make a chat for his commissioners, to my knowledge I don't think he ever did, or at least he never included me. At the beginning of February, I was able to rest the payment, a total of $800. After 2 months and discussions of character information, I was updated with a photo of some base heads Bear would be working on, and I was going to give him measurements to follow up with. Another 2 months went by, and I popped in to see if there were any updates. He was in the process of moving and going to a con, so I told him it was understandable and thanks for updating me. This was about half a year since I paid for my suit and thought maybe I wouldn't have to wait TOO much longer. Some time passed, and we barely talked in August about fursuit adjustments for my character, then in October I asked to see if there was anymore updates, and asked if my suit could be done before Further Confusion (FurCon) 2019 which was held on January 17, 2019. Here he said he thinks he was able to get it done, I held hope but part of me was ready to accept if I couldn't get it by then. November rolls out and I talked with Bear to make sure that the suit would be done before FC, seems like he was confident in getting it done. At the end of December, he drew up another WIP, and we discussed some suit adjustments. Bear told me that he'll do his best to get my suit done by then, and if it's not all done he'd send what was completed. It seemed too good to be true since the con was less than a month away, but I was prepared to see what he'd have done. Come January, he didn't have any part of the suit ready, and apologized saying he had the flu. Him getting it all done asap and rushed seemed to good to be true, so it was understandable he wasn't done, and I told him no rush hoping I'd get some progress soon at least. Bear said after he plans to finish no later than February and will have WIP pictures soon. At the beginning of February, he sent me a very early build, but it was an exciting WIP nonetheless. It seemed like this was the start of great progress, even though it has been over a year since I first commissioned him, but this would be the only WIP photo I'd ever see. While he promised to get my suit done at the end of February, nothing happened. I asked again in March if there was any progress, where he said he was depressed and going through something. Then in April I messaged him if he had any idea of when it would be complete, which he gave me a May-June window. In May he was completely silent, and in June he said he was busy and would have my suit done before the upcoming FurCon 2020 (which would start on January 16, 2020). Here again he said what progress he made and what he had to do, and that he should definitely get the suit done before FC 2020. Come October, I wanted to see if there were any updates, since FC was slowly coming around the corner. He asked when I'd like my suit done before again, then never messaged me until the beginning of next year. Instead of giving me a personal explanation for not getting the suit done again, he just drops this link and quickly scurries out which was the beginning point of me realizing that I wasn't the only one who was waiting for a commission to be done from him. This was the start of me losing my empathy and patience with this guy as things progressively got worse over the next two years. After a bit over a week he responds seeming reluctant to get the suit done "soon". In March I sent him for character tweaks, which was late on my part admittedly, but afterwards in April-June he was completely silent. At the end of July I asked him for another update which resulted in nothing again, and afterwards he did not respond until the beginning of 2021. He finally responds at the beginning of January of 2021, after not messaging me since July 2020. He talks about how he's depressed again, and how he lost his Grandpa. As someone who has lost their grandparents as well, I've been in his position of being in a rut and losing motivation to get things done, however, given his list of excuses given out so many times, I can only feel so much empathy/sympathy from him and let him take LONGER and LONGER to get my suit done. At this point I told him if I could just get a refund if he had too much on his plate at the moment. He said he was willing to do my suit still and how it's "a cutie" which doesn't sound very professional at this point since he's been avoiding me and not getting work done. I told him if he could get it done by June then I'd be okay with it, otherwise I wanted to talk with him about getting a refund. No updates pass by as usual and in March he gives me more excuses and "plans" to get it done in the Summer. Here I tell him I'll be okay with it if the suit can be done by the end of the year. I start to show frustration with Bear as well and tell him I'd like a refund if he doesn't get the work done before the promised time. He ends up ghosting/not communicating with me as usual, so I tell him I'll contest PayPal if he doesn't get my work done. I've seen most people immediately try and contest payments and try to get their money back, but I wanted to talk with him about it instead of doing that. September rolls out and still nothing to show. Here he gives more lists of reasons why he hasn't started and promises to get WIPs soon. I start to get more frustrated with him for his lack of effort and care communicating back with me. I leave two messages to him about how he still hasn't gotten my work done, then he read the messages and never responded, leaving me to tell him again I would contest PayPal. He says at the end to give him this month to try and make progress, if nothing happens he'll start the refunding process. I tell him about how he needs to get his responsibilities in order. I sympathize with him with all the things he's been through but I try and tell him it's no excuse to leave me in the dust when I try and support him ordering a fursuit paying with my hard-earned money. We talk about how if nothing is done for November, then I'd want a refund. He never got the suit done, and says he will work on getting the refund process started by the end of this year or beginning of next. No updates still, we are now in the year 2022, over FOUR years since I first commissioned and sent the payment over to Bear. No updates for another two months until I continually ask him, if I don't message him he'll legit forget about me and continue ignoring getting the fursuit done. I plea with him here, asking if he'll actually get it done, because I've waited so long for basically nothing. Only a few quick sketches and an early base from a few years ago. I just wanted my refund at this point, I didn't even want a fursuit anymore. I felt like enough was enough. He wasn't responding to me, treating me respectfully, or getting any work done. I had come across the Artist's Beware site a few months ago and even noticed someone posted about Bear here (under his old username Unluckydinobear). I figured if he won't give me my money back for a fursuit he promised to get done several times over the past couple of years, this was my best bet to post. My friend, who originally got his suit from Bear, told me it was only partially completed and how Bear still needed to make adjustments, and also left him in the dust. I wrote all of this here today not to "callout" or want any threats toward Bear, but I hope that if people end up showing interest in commissioning this man, please be aware of what you are getting yourself into. It has been 4+ years since I first commissioned Bear for a fursuit, and I still have gotten nothing. As of June 11, 2022, he still has not messaged me back, and looking at his Twitter account it seems like he's too distracted with other affairs to even care

I first met Cyberwolfdragon on Discord, in the USF server. There is a #looking-for-corner channel where people can post if they wanted to do an art trade, had an art request, were offering free art, etc. When looking through the channel, I found Cyberwolfdragon's latest message asking to do an art trade, and it was marked as open. I then DMed them asking if they wanted to do a trade. After this they didn't message me for around two months, until they sent this: (This was a different character than their initial art trade request, but that was fine) I finished my side of the trade in around 10 days. This was the last time Cyber messaged me on Discord I proceeded to remind them every so often of the trade they owed me.. with no response. I will note here that I did use an artwork as a reference for the pose of my side of the trade. I don't have it saved so I can't show it, but Cyber didn't mention this at any point as a reason for declining the trade or something. Cyber posted several messages in USF after the last message they sent me: one for open comms, and three offering a suit they had for sale. This is the only server I have in common with them. (a day after their last message to me) Several days after their last message, but before I reached out about it. After I messaged them twice with no response. After another new message from me, and their last message in USF. After almost a year of this, I searched up their username and found some of their other accounts, including their YouTube. Their email was linked in the contact section, so I attempted to reach out via that. They responded in a bit over an hour. (the blacked out line under my email is a send certificate that has contact info of theirs) I recopied the image from my original Discord DM with it. I opened it in a new window to preserve the quality. At this point, they began to ghost me again. I attempted to reach out to them through other social medias. Their Twitter DMs are off, so I have sent a message to what is presumably their DeviantArt account since it has the same username, though the 5 arts and fursuit images I don't remember seeing on other platforms. At this point my art has gotten a fair bit better, and I do draw original poses now or base them off of pictures of myself, but I just want my side of the art trade back, it's been a year.

I really loved a keyblade she had made as well, which became one of the items in the trade. All went well, easy contact and exchanging necessary information. I do believe -- this should have been a red flag for me -- My biggest mistake was to agree to send it in time for Halloween. I sent out the package, and I asked about her sending the keyblade. I should've taken "My Mom Sent it" as another red flag at that point. I'm thinking I missed some Notes here (Went through all my notes) or the messages were through skype, as she had failed to tell me that Pakko arrived, and I only knew because of shipping. I had posted an advice post around now about this, as the keyblade was taking longer to arrive than it should have. Luckily it arrived around a week after that. Contact seemed to have died after she got Pakko. She decided to sell him after Halloween ( http://oi48.tinypic.com/13z5u15.jpg ) which I wouldn't really have minded much if it was not for the fact I had only ONE of the items she needed to send me. So, I proceeded to send her a note in November or December for updates. Come January and still nothing, despite her stating she's going to send everything out. By now I had gotten more experience dealing in business, and simply was quite angered at this, and wanted to get it over with and get my stuff. Now it's February. I've completed 1 complete head, 1 almost complete head, and 2 head bases in this time, so I have gained more experience in buying and selling and simply do not comprehend how she is not done and shipping things to me. I'm just really annoyed, and decided it's finally time to make a Beware on her.

original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/655973.html WHO: Sweetnightmare - Operator of Business Scixzor - Husband and Business partner. He handles customer service tickets when silver is "overwhelmed" WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sweetnightmare WHAT: A partial fursuit originally to be finished on Dec 25th as the deadline. (Later extended, as will explain.) WHEN: Aug 2012 - Feb 2013 Proof/Explain: - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4344146/ - FurAffinity Admins asked to take down the journal, here is a screenshot of it. http://imgur.com/EowoH5R I commissioned sweetnightmare in Aug of 2012 to create a fursuit of my fursona Inukaza. I paid up front, later upgrading to a full suit. When I first commissioned her, I made a request to be updated by photo every month. At first, she was willing, and sent updates. October was the last update I received. Afterwords, every half-month I would ask for a photo update, to which she would respond that they did not have a camera to take the update with. Contrary to that fact, they were still able to upload pictures with a camera that they acquired, yet still were able to come up with a excuse to not give progress photos. Oh wait. That's because they were hiding the fact that there was no process. Well, to make this factual, reasonable process. Today, Feb 15th, 2013, 5 months, 20 days from the day I ordered the product, I received a box full of supplies. To clarify, I asked her to send me the supplies, because it was getting absurd about how long I was waiting. The due date for this project was in December. What did I receive? What does almost 6 months of progress look like? 1. A few yards of black and brown fur. Not enough for full suit, maybe not even enough brown to create the rest of the partial. Once I check with the amazing person who might be finishing this suit for me, I'll update this. ( http://i.imgur.com/6JzTZRY.png ) 2. Foam Base ( http://imgur.com/a/Elifk ) <--- Actual photo. 2.A. Here is a progress photo she sent from Oct. 2012. Please compare. ( http://i.imgur.com/vNIAGZv.jpg) 3. White and Black sculpey, for teeth and mouth. 4. Slippers. (I can't tell where she got them from, decent.) 5. Foam for eyes, mouth, ears. 6. Cut-outs for paws. Not sewn in. 7. Some thread. (Here's her actual list of what she said she was sending me. She sent what she said she would. http://i.imgur.com/BYI5sNo.png). What's not included? 1. Polyfill, she said there was no room in the box to put it. I beg to differ, I personally could have fit it in there. However, I won't argue it, as it could be said to have been done to not crush the head base. 2. Foam for foot paws. At this point, it would have been nice to still offer a refund for those supplies or buy a bigger box, I was paying for shipping either way. 3. Completed fursuit. Seriously. (By this I mean it in a sarcastic way, I know I asked for the materials, however, I was led to be aware up until she told me what was in the package that the tail, footpaws, and more of the handpaws were done. So, recap. I got a foam base, and supplies to make a fursuit. Meaning, tail wasn't even started to be worked on. Handpaws only partially done, and head....well, you can see with the photos from above. You might be asking, why did I deal with this? She apparently has had tons of issues thought out the past few years. I want to, and I actually do, believe her. Of course, shit happens, sometimes you have to deal with what's thrown at you. Bad anxiety, home issues, relationship issues. (She her journals on her page to confirm and read up on the nature of it and make your own opinions). I felt bad, and I went along with it. However, throughout my contacts with her, I was constantly led to believe that this project would be done sooner. Here's some documentation. 10/03/2012: I asked what I can expect to be done by the next monthly update. ( http://i.imgur.com/SsuCNb9.png ) 10/23/2012: I asked how many commissions are ahead of mine, to get a gauge on how many she has. Just a FYI, at this point she has started selling her services every other week. She still is selling fursuits at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/JNQxy7h.png ) 10/29/2012: I was discussing upgrading to a full suit. I asked for a photo update for the month of November now, she said her cam was being derpy. ( http://i.imgur.com/J5xCdVT.png ) 11/05/2012: I asked her about a time frame to expect the photos. She mistakenly confused it for asking when the suit was done, and clarified her deadline. As well as promising to get my photo update. ( http://imgur.com/a/8qU6N ) 11/29/2012: I am getting really ticked at this point. I tell her that even though I'm her friend, it's stupid that this is becoming impossible to get updates. Her husband comes over on her skype to explain the situation. I made her aware that if she can not deliver updates, do not promise them. ( http://imgur.com/a/PhiZo ) This same day, she says she needs more time on the suit. ( http://imgur.com/QlqCQ3N ). 12/13/2012: Asked for a photo update. Never came. ( http://i.imgur.com/1E5IKad.png ). 12/26/2012: I asked for a update. No response. ( http://i.imgur.com/7LVnZha.png ). 1/02/2013: She offered a refund at this point when I confronted her about the updates, but with no sight of when I'd get it. At this point, I've heard stories from past commissioners who have stated that when they asked for a refund they didn't receive it til half a year later. I opted to keep on going with it. ( http://imgur.com/1CZcSfR ) This is where the lies start kicking in. She lied about the progress the suit was in. She states the tail and feet are done. Neither of which were started in reality. And the hand paws were further progressed than what they were in reality. ( http://i.imgur.com/6vahOk4.png ). 1/03/2013: Apparently there is now four suits in front of me. Remember back in Oct. 2012 when there were only three that were almost done? ( http://i.imgur.com/GphSFXV.png ). Late Jan/ Early Feb: She moved to a new house, as you can see by reading her new journals. Obviously and understandably, suit making was not the first thing on her mind. At this point I'm getting tired of asking for updates. 2/02/2013: I asked for another update. She said there were more suits in front of mine. Others were rushed orders. No shit, really, mine is a rush order by now. It's 2 months overdue at this point. ( http://i.imgur.com/VLESINJ.png ) She requested me to send all updates to her husband, scixzor scixzor. All updates, notes, requests that I sent to him were read, and ignored. By ignored, I mean he did not send a response, including those that deliberately requested him to reply. ( http://i.imgur.com/68oVAog.png ) 2/05/2013: I asked her to just send me supplies for unfinished suit so I could finish it myself. I am still under the impression that everything is pretty much done. She still says that it would be done and shipped by the end of Feb, the absolute final due date. ( http://i.imgur.com/K33TUGA.png ) 2/06/2013: She sends a message saying she wants to send me the unfinished suit. ( http://i.imgur.com/JfsoxgJ.png ) I asked her to write a detailed invoice telling what she has done, and what needs to be done. Mostly for the reason of making this journal. It was a way for her to defend herself and for things to be factual to back up my claims. She didn't send it, saying she forgot. ( http://imgur.com/QcoJAL6 ) 2/08/2013: Items sent via UPS. I paid shipping. ( http://i.imgur.com/6Hw6ekt.png ). 2/15/2013: I received items, here is a video of me opening it and going though it. Please excuse the bad lighting, out lights our out in that area of our apartment. Also, NSFW language. This was the first time I saw those items. I was pissed. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMP5FpmFoKA ) OVERALL: I feel I was scammed. She's not a reliable fursuit maker. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend commissioning her. If you have already done so, make your own choice. If you want to take this to heart, I would make the choice to cancel your order. If you want more proof, send me a note with your questions and I'll be happy to provide you with more information. Additional Information: I canceled the commissioned after a financial hardship on 1/21/13, I asked to have it reinstated on 1/27/13. ( http://imgur.com/a/E3jbu ) She was completely fine with it, not giving me any reason to believe this was a issue. The original deadline was Dec 25th. Second deadline was Feb 1st. Third Deadline was March 1st. Each time extended because I asked if she needed more time, thinking she was almost done. ( http://imgur.com/a/1ANhI ) I said I wanted to take the stress off her and take the items. I still thought that the Tail, hand paws, and foot paws were completely done, and the head was ready to foam until after this happen when she clarified what would she be sending me.( http://i.imgur.com/baidQSA.png ) Aftermath of the journal: I received several messages asking for me to take down my review, I refused. She wanted to fix this by letting me return the materials I asked for and finishing it faster. However, the entire reason I asked for the materials, legitimately, was to send them to another suit maker to use them. There is no way this can be fixed, as this is a complaint about customer service and not the fact that I expected a completed suit when I asked for the materials. There was a strong smell of smoke on the suit, I didn't think much of it. However, it turns out the person I sent the materials to finish my suit is actually allergic, so take that to heed.

original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/657163.html WHO: Clay Mann aka TitanFalls WHERE: Fan Expo (Canadian comic convention) Also does work at deviantart, and titanfalls.com. This artist is a professional comic book artist that currently works for Marvel Comics. WHAT: A hand drawn commission of an X-Men character (traditional art). I approached Mr. Mann in person at the 2011 Fan Expo Comic Convention. This con is a 4 day convention, and we spoke very early on during day 1. The art was paid for in cash, $100 Canadian, up front by myself and two other friends (who each also paid $100 CAD for a piece each of their own). Each day of the convention we were told to come back and check in to see progress, and by day 4 Clay had left early to catch a flight home. Before he left, he asked each of us to email him with our addresses so that he could mail the art to us directly, implying that the pieces were with his luggage at the time. WHEN: The transaction began on August 23, 2011 which was also the date of the payment. Within a week after the con myself and both of my friends emailed him with our personal addresses. PROOF: My post-con email; friend #1's post-con email. EXPLAIN: After no reply, I waited about one month later to reach him again (Sept 30, 2011), this time trying both of his email addresses. That email was responded to 3 days later with an apology stating that he was very busy working on a mini (Magneto, which was only 3 issues long) for Marvel that required his attention. He told me to pass that along to my friends, which I told him that I would (and did). I did not hear from Clay again at all after this time. He opened up commissions again on Feb 14, 2012 on his deviantart and blog, so upon seeing this I sent him another email asking for an update, which was ignored. Friend #1 sent him another email in May 2012. This email was ignored. Friend #2 was able to reach him July 2012 and was told that all three commissions were being sent to her so that she could pass them along to us. She did not hear from him again, and no commissions were mailed to her. At this time he did apologize and gave us another reason for his busy-ness. Which is fine; crap hits the fan for people all the time and I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt. It had been 11 months by then and while it had been an inconvenience, it was not utterly unreasonable. By the time November 2012 rolled along, I had grown tired of waiting and emailed him to ask for a refund. Once again, I was ignored. Frustrated, I had made a post to my tumblr (which was admittedly a bit bitter sounding) and later got an Ask from another user who pointed me in the direction of this community. All of this was public and could be seen by anyone. The next day friend #2 received an email from Clay, ironically enough, stating that he would have our commissions sent to us within the week and that he was sorry about everything. I wanted to, again, to give him the benefit of a doubt, but I was very unhappy with the idea of getting art that I did not want and asked a refund for. I searched around to see if this artist has had a bad rep before, and I did find a few things elsewhere. Needless to say, it was quite possibly a ruse to get me to shut up and not come here. Not sure, but either way I'm tired of waiting and my friends and I are tired of being ignored. If you are a comics fan or a convention goer and you are considering getting a personal piece of art from him, I would do so with caution.

original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/654319.html WHO: FlyingFire is her user name WHERE: FurAffinity WHAT: Traditional 2 character Sketch. WHEN: I commissioned her in August. 40.00 for down payment I gave her all the information she needed to get on a rough sketch. Due date was Dec. Granted I've been busy but I've checked on her every now and again but I think I got back to talking about it in Nov or early Dec I told her I was fine with delaying the due date to Jan. She was asking about the final 40.00 which I paid the final on Dec. 9th Update 07/10: please read below. PROOF: *Please Note for your convenience I did copy the notes into font. Please do know that often Flying fire would respond out of order, like I was working top down and her conversation was working bottom up, so kind like the universe expanding opposite directions. Just so you know, so I won't hurt everyone's eyes and brains. ~Thank you*
Any number of those make good ideas! (sorry it took me so long to reply btw! I was gone. :c ) My Paypal is ___ . Add me on Skype and we can chat vocally, and you can even watch the progress as it goes along! -Fire.

Okay, I'm game! ^.^ I remember you from Morphicon! You and your nice owly friend. You were both super nice and it was fun to see you. ^.^ Also, yes. It'd be eighty dollars. Incremental pay is just fine, just so you know. Do you have refs, and also, do you have skype? That way maybe we can talk as I draw things out for you and Arctic. Did you know I know Artic? I'm not sure what happened but we stopped talking a few years ago. Its been a long time, but it'd be great to do something nice for her. (and you too, of course) 🙂 What kind of theme would this be? Or would that be artistic freedom?
Well I want to commission an art piece 2 character of me and my best friend Artic. Now the Deadline would be December since I plan for it to be a birthday gift from me to her. I'm guessing it be around 80.00? I mean I know my character has a lot of details and hers she gets kind of picky. I do know she does have a variety of badges. I think your art would be one she would like. So I tend to like feral/quad, and her most recent reference is of a quad/feral Artic. If your interested in drawing please let me know. I can pay half now and then the other half when I get rough sketch/regular drawing approved. Since I know that be easiest way for me to pay since it is a lot of money and I don't want a birthday gift to be finished before I can approve of the drawing done. This is a piece I hope you have plenty of time to work on at your own pace. I'm hoping December is a far enough time away.

That be great, my user name for Skype not like caps matter. I sure do, have references. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/7782892/ I need to re do it since the tail is off. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5257642/ this is how the last band is suppose to be its wraps around to the bottom but it doesn't connect underneath. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6448079/ Like this explains the details best its just outdated as far as the tail and the fact everyone who goes by this gets the stripes wrong because its good way to map where the stripes are but people have put dots on my stripes and made them very much like connect the dots. But I plan on getting another reference done. I'm just been rather slow about it. ;_; because I'm a busy/lazy cat. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/8431740/ Artics most recent info. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/8229703/ this is colored something this hopefully will give you and idea of how to shade things. This is her old reference http://www.furaffinity.net/full/1372053/ Its colored too. I think that covers it. I will try to make myself available on Skype. As for ideas,
*SIDE NOTE: Just so you know I had spoke with her and said that reference I provided for the feral would be fine. As for the stripe issue I had a reference that did not work so well because the stripes were in the right position but they made the stripes look funny so I never got people to do my stripes like normal, right position but weird stripes. FlyingFire Aug 19

Well, that was unnecessary, and it would have taken you two extra seconds to send me an actual note instead of a page shout. However, despite your doubts, as quoted here: Give me my money back. You did not provide me my sketch days, weeks, over a month of saying your weak excuses. You stole money from me, by not providing the service you agreed to. heres your sketch. As I said before, its done and has been done for awhile. I had to deal with that thing called real life, taking my cat to the vet to make sure she didn't have cancer amongst them, so yeah, I was preoccupied. This is partially why I forgot to link you your art, but you should Never send a note to someone, or a shout, when your that irrational. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8383/8452908686_75698d75af_z.jpg You can have this until I receive an apology for such rash words, whereupon I'll send you the full re-res image.
I'm not being irrational, you are horrifically late. Honestly I've given you over a week to get to me on this. You had not taken the extra 2 to 3 seconds to link me this information. I am not apologizing to you. I told you I'd like to have some pre-sketch for me to confirm at least progress and maybe throw in my 2 cents. Regardless of you circumstances you have been absolutely poor at communicating properly. Now I told you I need to have proof by last Sunday at least...I have not seen anything until I've given you this shout. When a time is set I expect something to be done, or at least a note back to say as to why there is a delay. Frankly I've been waiting on some proof that you've done anything, So it is not irrational for me to suspect you are not true to your words as we've had this discussion before. I've been dealing with a thing called life like everybody else. I have 2 jobs, and I work to pay off my condo/townhouse. I know a lot about due dates, with college and bills and if something comes up I try to work something out but you expect me to pay for sketch and then I don't see anything for like a month? I wonder who sounds like they are being irrational now? You know I have bad days but at least I communicate with my boss and those who need to know and let them know if something will be delayed.
I'm sure you understand that there's a lot of difference between being busy personally, and busy with business, and I was busy with both. I can understand your business just fine, but you need to know remember that there is a difference. Also, you paid the fourty as a half payment. Thats why I hadn't started. My policy is generally to get full payment and then begin. Irregardless to this roundabout we seem to be having, is this sketch to your liking, or is it not? Let me know when you have a minute to sit back and look at whats been done. Here is the large file. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8383/8452908686_f79f42a2c7_k.jpg
*Side note: I was up late that night and had not slept so well this last week. Which that and also having someone say I'm being irrational started what some furries call "Tiny Tora Rage." Which may I say that all my anger is pretty legit, maybe a little fluffed...but I am the person to burn bridges if I find that it leads me to no where I want to be. She had mentioned her cat for the first time to me, I know I saw something posted in her journal 2 months prior, so granted I know people can have emotional issues...but I feel if that is the case it is the artist's obligation to mention that they will need some time out. I can't take in consideration for something I do not know of, all she had mentioned prior is she was busy. Which is what I had been hearing for some time. FlyingFire Feb 7th(2) Now for the Cherry on top the art I've been waiting for b/c after I yelled at her on her wall...I got this. Artic_Tora_flyingfire Also, the sprinkles on top would be that she and posted this on FA saying Artic and I are Mates. Which I do understand where someone might get that, but I had told her beforehand that we were best friends. We have matching icons, we are giving each other a head bump, not kisses. So even though some people think we are a couple, unfortunately that is not the case, we just joke about it profusely. In reality we both are pretty heterosexual, even though I'm bi-sexual, I do have a boyfriend. I Do Apologize for any confusion on this matter. I know I've not disclaimed my status of relationship to others. EXPLAIN: I may have not stayed on track with this artist through every step but honestly I think more artist prefer people not to get with them on daily basis. I did remind them in a journal prior which I think that is when they brought up the 40.00 final that was in Nov. I still feel if you did not provide any proof of art done you are stealing from the buyer. This person is on the same level of scam artist as far as I'm concerned. Updated Feb. 10th, 2013 Flying Fire got back to me shortly after the shout I mad on her FA account. Basically I was angry she had not provided and I had figured some public attention would get her attention and maybe create some results, which it did. I have provided proof of 95% of our conversations. I feel the other 5% is non-important as it doesn't really say much. I've not replied back to her as frankly I don't feel this art is really worth 80.00 but with her cat going to the vet. I really doubt I will get the 40 back.

original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/648340.html First of all, I must say that I do not have a lot of pictures to prove our conversations, Due to Hinauchi deleting me from her skype, making me unable to get the conversations back. First proof. Here is the WORK IN PROGRESS she has posted on furaffinity of my fursuit. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6443683/ Do note it was posted (as of this time) A year ago. (September 5th, 2011) About 5 months after I had purchased my suit. Proof link of A recent message we had on facebook as of November 24, 2012 1. http://imgur.com/6MxxI 2. http://imgur.com/Jjsli and 3. http://imgur.com/tfMSN The proof that she no longer is on my skype contacts http://imgur.com/6WQ8h Recent proof she is now raising a ton money to see her "bby" for her leisure http://imgur.com/SJKk5 ++ My comment that got marked as spam, ( It was me informing to the public that she is raising money for yet another thing, even though she still has not shipped what i ordered) http://imgur.com/bPjOU Then, her proceeding to tell someone that "I should have noted her" Even though she never contacts me http://imgur.com/vTc27 Explination. I made my fursuit purchase from Hinauchi In early April 2011. I did not order the fursuit to be here on a specific date, although i had figured it wouldn't take too long, considering i've seen her make fursuits often, she even set up a fusuit website of her own here http://speckledbluenose.weebly.com/ so I assumed she was somewhat proffessional about it. I payed around $445 for a fursuit head, tail, and paws of my old character Rayne via paypal. Basically, I have asked her about how she was doing on it since the purchase via skype, but i no longer can reach the conversations due to her unadding me. I do remember her taking forever to even show me pictures of my commission, giving me dates on when the fursuit should ship to me, and then my fursuit of course never getting to me. Apparently, as she has told me, her mother stole my shipping money. Which is of course theft, and is illegal. I asked for her mothers number, and she refused to give it to me. She has made countless excuses since 2011 such as; Her mother wont take her to the store for supplies Her mother stole the money Her camera was broken She was busy She was going through a hard time She was at her dads She was moving It has been almost 2 years now since i have purchased it, and all she does is give me excuses and sad stories and explanations on why she couldn't ship it to me. Then informing me that it should get to me soon, when it never does. I don't understand why she can finish other people's commissions, such as drawings, and never have any time to go to a post office to ship a package. She claims that it is "buried under a mountain of shit in her closet" and she plans to "dig it out and get it shipped" Which she has been saying for months of course. I posted a comment on the journal talking about raising money to see her lover to inform people that she isn't responsible enough to get purchases to people. She is lazy, irresponsible, and immature. I did not wish to post something like this, although it has bothered me for far too long and people should have a right to know, considering she opens auctions, commissions, and other things where she must send commissions out. It's a very confusing position to be in.

original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/652726.html WHO: Merinx WHERE: www.merinx.deviantart.com WHAT: The order was for two (2) black and white traditional original character art. Initial Set Up Of Order: http://sta.sh/0288hya8oiov Order Confirmation: http://sta.sh/028nzzv3h1id WHEN: Order was placed on: July 3rd 2012 Order was confirmed on: July 3rd 2012 Payment was made on July 4th via Paypal. After that date, he did not make any new journals on DeviantART nor did he comment or note me about my artwork. PROOF: Payment: http://sta.sh/015fmnv6xpi8 Confirmation of Payment received by artist: http://sta.sh/0250y8xrzh0m EXPLAIN: I first ordered the commission and they told me to wait as they were travelling but they would get it to me soon. I have commissioned hundreds of artwork and so I know that these things take time. So I did not think anything of it for the first couple of months. By the fifth month I started to get nervous so I noted him and asked him if he had any updates for me. Another month went by and I got really nervous. This was six months at this point. That to me is a completely unacceptable wait time with no correspondence from their side. So I noted him (December 19th, 2012) and that note (to this day) is unread. http://sta.sh/01cdlkl8n2pd I then sent a personal email to the artist on January 2nd asking them if they had any updates for me and I even included our correspondence via DA. I told them that I was very uncomfortable with the situation as he had not replied to me and he was not uploading anything new on DA. I then asked for a refund. (This email to this day is not replied to) http://sta.sh/026ybvl2jei6 I again noted them on DeviantART on January 7th, 2013 telling him that this was my third time at attempting to get in touch with him. I directly asked for a refund. (This note is till showing unread) http://sta.sh/0143o1socsjl At this point I was growing very annoyed because his profile status on DA was showing that he was LOGGING into DeviantART yet not replying or even reading my notes. So I took the conversation to his front profile. I left a comment stating that I had attempted to contact him via Note and Email and had yet to receive a response. I asked for a refund. (This comment is not responded to) http://sta.sh/01teukbebxq0 On January 14th, 2013 I took this to Paypal and sent him a money request. In the request I stated that I wanted my refund for my commission and that I have been trying to contact him regarding this manner. I had hoped this would grab his attention. http://sta.sh/0ud93ie3czd As of yesterday (1/29/2013) I put a comment inside of his DA journal stating that I was very unhappy with his communication and that it was completely unprofessional on how he was handling these matters when I can clearly see that he is on DA. I told him to give me an update on my artwork or send me a refund or I would call him out stating that he was an art thief. And I would inform his latter commissioners to not pay him as they would never get their art. http://sta.sh/019qp81cas5c Today (1/30/2013) I sent him an email letting him know that I have made a complaint with Paypal for his actions, and if he got enough complaints Paypal would limit his account. http://sta.sh/01156ktki2g5 I hope that he will at least give us the artwork he promised to me and all the others that are on his list or at least send us our money back! Today (11/12/2013) I was notified by another deviant that he was online 3 days ago (11/09/2013) He has not read any of my notes, nor replied to any of my emails. This artist is a fraud! He has stolen my money and has no intentions of finishing his work that people have paid for! He has not updated his account, nor has he posted any new artwork! He's a scam! Do not order art from him! Today (11/22/2013) I have logged onto DeviantART only to find that he has deactivated his account! This artist is clearly a fraud and I have emailed him and send paypal money requests and he still has not replied to anything! Be cautious if you see anyone with his familiar artwork posting anywhere! He's a fake! And a money thief!

We knew it was an ambitious target, so it wasn't disappointing when it wasn't done yet. Shortly after Rainfurrest 2011, there was some personal drama between myself and my ex best friend, which Fenrir's Child had inadvertently became involved with in other ways. Unknown to me at the time, this caused her to lose motivation to work on my fursuit. Several deadlines were set and missed. The first deadline after the drama was for January 2012, where I would pick up the fursuit for the When Furballs Strike 8 bowling meet in Kenmore, WA. When my wife and I went, the fursuit was not yet completed. The head was finished on the outside, but unwearable due to incomplete interior work. Because of the delays, Fen had offered free upgrades to make up for the extended wait. I gladly accepted. Unfortunately, upgrades aren't any good unless you actually get the fursuit. The next date was set for another When Furballs Strike meet in late May 2012. Again, the fursuit was not complete, with several months going by with absolutely no work done. The next completion date was set for Halloween 2012. Needless to say, it wasn't finished either. In November Fen had opened up for more commissions, and one of my closest friends had posted on her journal asking about my fursuit: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/SirFratley/Journalcomment.png Shortly after, Fen had finally come forward with why she had not been working on my fursuit this whole time, and offered a partial refund, which I politely declined because of financial troubles on her end: http://pastebin.com/k2PACa6X We decided to push for December completion. In early December, it was discovered that my head was missing, believed stolen. We discussed various options, including her remaking a head if I don't dock her in reviews or I pay $300, I get the remainder of the suit plus a partial refund, or, least desireable, a full refund. However, she backed out of any agreements and said she will be refunding me, without any say in the matter, in 45 days from the date of the police report for the claimed theft. Here is the full chatlog from that conversation: http://pastebin.com/q1UbWVix On the day the refund was due, she paid at 10 PM, without answering my emails or IMs asking what's going on, since it was getting late in the day and I still hadn't received my refund. Thankfully I did eventually find the refund in my paypal account, and our transaction is closed. Throughout this entire ordeal, I have been as patient as humanly possible, when all my friends were saying I should be making a fuss and have posted her on A_B a long time ago. Before the head was stolen, even Fen agrees I've been extremely patient: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/SirFratley/FensaysImpatient.png This entire commission has been nothing but constant waiting and repeated disappointment. There were many times I had felt absolutely trapped. I wanted to speak up and say she was taking too long, but if I did, I feared she would rush and push out a sub-par product, or give up and refund me without even trying to finish it. When she backed out of our agreement to let me have the rest of the fursuit minus the head, the gloves came off. While Fen's quality of work is extremely good, she simply lacks professionalism, basic business ethics, and the ability to complete large projects on time, allowing personal drama to interfere with her commissions. For small items such as tails, she would be a great builder to consider, but for anything more, I say Buyer Beware. Edit: Updated the proof to include initial email and Fen's old TOS. Also fixed a typo that had been driving me nuts. Edit 2: Added the FA notes between Synwolf and Fen, kindly provided by Synwolf.

I mean they kinda look like that, but looks like they were just thrown together This is the image they sent me http://www.iaza.com/work/121231C/iaza18601984269100.jpg In this picture they do not look too bad, so I thought they were alright, so I agreed to finally have them shipped to me. Upon getting them I noticed the following: The soles of the shoes are already falling apart, so is the foam inside of the arch. They are extremely itchy due to all of the lose fur that is collected on them (which I understand happens, but minor clean up could of solved this.) Glue is very visible on them, as well is a gap where the fur wasn't glued to the shoe. I was very excited to receive them after 5 months, but am very displeased with the condition they are in for how long they have had them (more than double the time given to me). They look as if they were just carelessly put together. They did give me a pair of foam with fur on them (ears) and a pewter wolf necklace along with a partial refund before shipment due to how long it took to have them and the continuous missed deadlines. I Sent them an email explaining my displeasment about the said items and what I have found wrong so far. I have only gotten this morning (20 mins ago, as of Jan 4th) and I am already in tears, and not good ones. :(( http://www.iaza.com/work/121231C/iaza18601984269100.jpg <--- Images of said product These are the sheet shots of some of the most important converstations, if you need more just ask. Original: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/645523.html EDIT: The payment as of so far has not been revoked, however, the user in question has never explained himself why he yanked my funds, or even considered the fact that he was in the wrong. However, I'm rather disgusted right at this moment with Artist's beware, whom seemed to have focused on attacking me rather than answering my question. 1. Guys, paypal wasn't my issue. I got a guyfriend to call in and it was all good. 2. My legitimate question was whether or not I should expect him to make up for this mess. 3. Should I even touch the money he tries to send? WHO: Saphiros off of furaffinity- http://www.furaffinity.net/user/saphiros from his pony account http://www.furaffinity.net/user/twentypercentcooler. WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/twentypercentcooler WHAT: Digital art of a fat twilight sparkle- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9200009/ WHEN: November 6th during an art show, this was commissioned. Shortly after, I noticed the payment was not in my paypal. I stuck an UNPAID squiggle over the image and notified the user via shout that the payment didn't go through. On the 7th of november he responded with an apology and assured me he resent the money. On the 22nd of december I received a note with an apology and another payment for the payment he never sent. This time instead of ten, he sent twenty, which I didn't touch because I was wary of the reversed payments. Shortly after christmas I transferred the money to my bank account, at which point he reversed payment. The money was drawn from my bank account, since the money was in transit, and overdrafted me, PROOF: http://i49.tinypic.com/1o4vp2.jpg my shout http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9200009/ the art http://i50.tinypic.com/64dx03.jpg his reply http://i46.tinypic.com/33lhyer.jpg reversed payment details http://i48.tinypic.com/290y1pk.jpg the note saying he sent the twenty for my trouble EXPLAIN:On November 6th I did a stream for 10$ full colors. This individual twentypercentcooler asked for a fat pony for his account, main account saphiros. The user's payment, supposedly, was sent to the wrong paypal, and I just marked the submission as being unpaid and was going to let it go, since there are a LOT of scammers nowadays. He messaged me in response to my comment that the payment was wrong, and apologized and sent me twenty to unmark the payment as unpaid for. He seemed embarrassed. On the 22nd of December I unmarked the image, and on the 26th I transferred the money to my bank, at which point he issued a contest with paypal. The money to refund was withdrawn from my bank account with a $18.22 balance, and left me a 35$ overdraft fee for the 1.78 I didn't have. The money, as of 12/28, after another user prodded him, was resent once again and as of yet has not been revoked. Paypal will not accept a phone call from me, the owner of the account, due to the fact that I have a man's name and am vocally quite obviously not a male. Their phone center is based in India or somewhere, I believe and the two people I've talked to insisted on speaking with a man. However, the reason for the contest was simply put that the user did not receive said 'physical goods' and I'm not covered for intangible goods. Sad day, indeed. When I originally tried to post the ad, the user had not responded. A response has been made, as well as payment, but I am afraid to touch the money, since he has revoked it twice already. Even still if I do get to keep the money, my bank account is in the red, and the user has not been truthful or forthcoming with information. I feel as if he's only made this latest payment to cover his own tail in the face of embarrassment. I believe he has done this to people before, as there are several cached hidden comments on DA of people commenting on his art info about being a scammer. http://i45.tinypic.com/bgd3z5.jpg What should I do? Should I expect him to compensate me for my loss? In addition, should I expect a full explanation as to why he contested my service? He blemished my record at my paypal and my bank. re readable.

I contacted Deermoonstudios on Etsy for a fursuit head for $750 (which totalled $804 with taxes). This was paid in full immediately, followed by them stating they had just ordered fur colors needed for the suit after my approval. All on the same day. I waited a little over a month before asking them about progress, to which they said the fur had just arrived and they were waiting on more pieces to arrive in the mail. In Sep I asked for another update, no response, I asked again on the 20th and got told a day later that the head was ready for taping and sorry for the delay. On Nov 2nd 2021 I asked again for a picture, since I never got one. No response, I sent another message on the 14th asking if they saw the previous message, no response. In Dec, I got a little upset and messages them again asking for a picture, still no response. After this I looked for their Twitter, to see if they were busy with life or something. I learned they were pretty active on Twitter and I created an account to message them. Still no response, but they did post a tweet about how they have a hard time responding to messages and complaining that people need to stop guilt tripping them. I'm unsure if this was directed at me, but I took note of it and messaged them on etsy one last time to apologize if I had ever made them uncomfortable, and that I would no longer message them. I've given up and am assuming I'll never get the product I paid for. They had finished one (provable here) fursuit head in the meantime, fairly quickly. As of right now (Jan 6 2022), I still have gotten no response from them. They do not accept refunds on their products. They were polite in messages but have seemingly ghosted me.

Original Agreement + Proof: I was contacted by Mechogama through my FA notes on Oct. 11, 2021 with an offer to draw two individual pieces of my horse sona for a total price of $300, fully colored with background. After a cursory investigation there was an art trail showing that despite the out-of-the-blue solicitation the artist did have a track record of delivering and agreed to the proposition and we exchanged Discord contacts. Fig 1.0: Initial message over Furaffinity Fig. 2.0: Initial Discord message to establish continuity of account “HACKED” being Cleam/Mechogama the name had been CLEAM as of initial conversation but latter events lead to a name change and new account. After establishing that we were who we said we were we got down to brass tax. My quote for the work would be: 2 Pieces @ $150 ea. - Fully Colored - Background Included - Multi-Character with central focus on my horse Fig. 2.1: Reiteration of agreement, addition of update schedule and providing an EOD sketch. Fig. 2.2: Transactional Proof Things proceed apace in payment but the end of day sketch and the 2 day update schedule do not come. Fig. 3.0: Sudden request for more money under false pretenses A request for $50 instead arrives in confusing format with me initially mistaking it as an attempt to be upcharged. No work has been completed thus far and I let the artist know my qualms with the sudden request. It has been about a week and a half since our initial conversation and I approach Mechogama about our agreement. Fig 4.0: CLEAM as shown in cap is original avatar and name of account as can be seen in Fig. 2.1. I am told that I will receive an update when he returns home. While I do not receive said sketch at the end of the day, I do receive initial sketches 4 days afterward. Fig. 4.1: Initial sketches arrive By this point I believe the artist is just pre-occupied and am willing to acquiesce to the slight delays. I do not hear from Mechogama again until Nov. 11 2021. Fig. 4.2: Mechogama let’s me know that he is still aware of my commission. Fig. 4.3: Mechogama contacts me again about alleged technical issues with his computer and a timeline for repair + compensation for the trouble. We would discuss some specifics of the commission again on 12/04/2021 and I would hear from him one last time on 12/25/2021 before radio silence on that account. Fig. 4.4: Offer for more pictures, details on an after-pic, no agreement on paying for after-images but semi-regular communication seemed apparent. Fig 4.5: Last message received from the original CLEAM account before allegations of being hacked would appear nearly a month later in Mechogama’s first Discord chat: “The Dirty Paw”. Fig. 5.0: Mechogama alerts his server that his account has been hacked. It has been one month since I have heard from him. The details of the hack are slightly suspicious but seems to be standard Discord phishing. The account in question was never deleted but the alleged hacker had since deleted their's. Fig. 5.1: Supporting evidence of the hack, names have been removed aside from mine for the server-wide alert. Server effectively dies. By this point I had not been aware of the hack as I had been busy with my courses, however after another month I would contact Mechogama through FA after having seen no attempt to get back in touch with commissioners or announcement from any other source of information. I had discovered that this alleged hack occurred while trying to get a hold of Mechogama about my commission. Fig. 5.2: I messaged Mechogama on FA and he promptly responded to me. This is the first time I’ve spoken with him since Dec. 25, 2021. I join the Discord to find it hosting some people but far less lively than before, there is evidence of some activity and posts. This allows me access to Mechogama’s new iteration of CLEAM to continue trying to find a resolution to this commission issue. Fig. 5.3: My attempt over the last half a month to get information and this apparent ‘update’ on my commission. I had messaged CLEAM at various hours to get his attention, and it is obvious that he had been avoiding responding. At this point I had decided that this commission was never going to see the light of day and that I wanted a refund. Due to Mechogama refusing to answer my DM directly, even while online in “League of Legends” as his account status showed, I posted an @CLEAM into his new Discord: “Furry4Ever” to get his attention, the contents including the information on his avoidance of me. He promptly deleted the message in the public Discord and finally responded to me in DM. Fig. 5.4: After my notice in his Discord server, Cleam/Mechogama finally deigns it appropriate to respond to me and promptly removes me from his Discord group. Finally, after months of silence, I am granted my audience and he agrees to refund me. As of the time of this Artist Beware I am awaiting confirmation from Paypal that my refund has been processed, however I am not convinced that it will not be forced into claim status. Mechogama immediately went back to play League of Legends after the outburst at the end and no update on my refund through Paypal has been shown nor has he responded to my question regarding if he has even seen the refund request. Fig. 5.5: Outlandish response to request for refund, I inform Mechogama that the refund request has been sent and receive no indication from him that he has even so much as looked at it. Mechogama has been an unreliable and unprofessional artist at best, and outright attempting to con a client at worse. Reasonable attempts to rectify a situation and patience shown considering circumstance were disregarded and the attitude towards myself as a client and commissioner was dismissive. If you are expecting regular communique, timely updates, or for the original agreements of your commission terms to be met you should look elsewhere.

Back on September 16th, I commissioned the user Azhakuiin for a chibi and a fullbody. On September 28th, I was sent a sketch of the chibi and satisfied, I gave the okay to continue. 10 days passed after that with no word, so I texted them to see how things were going. On October 1st I recieved a text back saying they'd thought they sent it, but must not have and sent me the finished chibi. They also mention having been working on several sketches for the fullbody, which they would work on getting to me. On the 14th of October, I text them again inquiring about the progress of the sketches. On October 17th, I get a response from them saying they had a medical intervention and hadn't been able to be on in a few days. They then send 2 unfinished sketches to show progress and say they'll be trying to work through their commission schedule this month. I responded saying I loved the second sketch and I hope they get well soon. They still haven't viewed my response to this day, and that was the last contact we had. They haven't been active on TH since then according to their stats. After a month of silence, I started getting anxious so I messaged them on deviantart, saying who I was and that I wanted to check in. That message also hasn't been viewed. On December 10th, after seeing some activity on their Twitter, I messaged them there saying mostly the same thing. That also hasn't been viewed. I messaged them again on the 28th, after seeing some activity in their likes, but also no response. [Mod Note: Artist has turned off DMs on all, making private contact impossible.] So as a last ditch effort, I sent them an email on Dec 30th saying that basically I'd tried to contact them numerous times and if they can't complete the art then I would take a refund. I also mention if they don't respond, I will file a dispute. Though, what I didn't realize when writing that, is the money was sent via friends and family, which means I cannot dispute it. So seeing as they haven't responded to the email either, it just means I'm out of luck. So instead of the dispute, I figured I'd make this to warn others. [Mod note: Further contact has been attempted recently; no direct response was provided to the client. They have opted to lock their public accounts in response.]
