About Me

  1. Mel and I agreed to a $300 piece of my character with a background. The original agreement is on a Twitter account I deleted years ago, but here are my payments as well as a message on Facebook that she would be working on it. Mel had delivered 6 smaller commissions in the past, so I trusted her and was fine with waiting. When she started, things seemed to progress smoothly. (Text with personal details are marked out.) I reached out occasionally from Twitter (on the same account that I had deleted) for updates. On her Trello, my piece was last updated in 2019: https://trello.com/b/DTDzsnqX/commissions 2020 was the last time I sent a message on Twitter. I realized I had not heard from her in a while, so when I went to ask about the commission status, I saw Mel had set her Twitter account to protected (so I could not contact her). I then tried to reach out to her on Furaffinity and saw my account was blocked. I tried to contact Mel one more time by e-mail. I saw the next day that she had disabled her Furaffinity account and deleted her Twitter. I had felt that things were progressing smoothly, if slowly, and nothing seemed out of place. So I was very surprised by the quiet account block. It was only after these events that I checked Artist Beware and saw she had bewares under previous account names. I hope this helps others avoid the trouble.
  2. I didn't really want to post a beware, but after 8 months, I've come to hate the piece I got, and remember how horribly I was treated when I asked for a refund regarding it. So, here it goes. Also if I leave anything out, my web browser ate my first typing of this post due to a misclick, so I shall attempt to properly add all the information once again. So back in June I saw the artist hosting a YCH, and given prior business transactions went by smoothly and with great turnaround times, I quickly grabbed a slot. NSFW YCH: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27646358/ Proof of Payment: https://prnt.sc/mjumqe So payment was sent, and then began the wait time. Eventually after some time had passed without a WIP, I poked the artist asking if they had started one, and if not, I wanted a refund. This was after 2 months without a single update. When I did so, I was soon met with a rather rude, defensive approach and the artist claiming they did "no refunds" and that I should have known given it was in their ToS (mind you not once during any of the prior transactions did the artist provide their ToS, and had I known this was a part of it, I would have never commissioned them). They also blamed personal matters for the delay, and blamed my lack of knowing they were away (apparently they made a journal which I didn't see/missed in the mess of 200+ other journal notifications) as the reason for the delay. The artist also claims I had been pestering them since I got the art for updates, which is a blatant lie. I had asked for an ETA for the completion of the artwork, seen here: The next time I asked where I was listed in their que, which was 1 month later: Finally I asked for a WiP after 2 months without a single update and if one wasn't provided, that I wanted a refund (I cannot find if I told them if I didn't get one I'd open a PayPal claim), this is where the hostility happened: The one thing that should have been my red flag was that first they said they hadn't started, then suddenly they had a WiP to show once I asked for a refund. I was provided the WiP, asked for updates, and approved the WiPs then after: Eventually I got my art, but not in the professional manner I should have gotten it Unknown to me, the artist finished the art, uploaded it, and I went a week or longer without knowing. The only way I found out it was even done is when I saw the uploaded finished piece in my submission notifications. The artist failed to note me the link, and I had to ask for the finished file to be sent to me: Now 8 months down the road, I'm looking at the piece, and finding compared to other artwork done by the artist of the same style, my piece is lacking. it clearly was rushed, the quality is poor, and the more I look at the piece, the more I come to find myself wishing I had just pushed the refund via a PayPal claim and not accepted such a terrible finished product. This is what I received: NSFW: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28596438/ I should have posted a beware back when this first happened, but given I got my art, I didn't think it would be approved. Back then too I was just glad to have even gotten the piece. However, I'm wanting to now warn others of this artist and their means of conducting business. I just want to warn people of my experience with this artist, in hopes that no one else ends up treated like I was or in the same situation I am in now.
  3. Pretty simple, Ryun opened for $25 sketches, I claimed a slot, then we negotiated the price (I asked for something with an outfit/props and that raised the price to $30) and I never received it. I would attach the original tweet she posted, but she's since deleted it and my reply doesn't make sense without the context. This is the entirety of our conversation together, including a smaller screencap for the latest message due to the fuzzy date format. Then here's the proof that I paid her on June 20, 2019: At this point I have no confidence that she will ever get back to me, or that I will receive my art. She either straight-up ignores you or gives you the run-around. I know $30 doesn't seem like a lot of money, but I still paid for a service I'll likely never get. Also note that she changes her username a lot, and has her read receipts turned off on Twitter. Goes without saying, but I can't recommend purchasing from her.
  4. On September 30, 2019, I was made aware of a special auction Mischief Makers was holding on Dealer’s Den. The auction was for a summer 2020 completion commission slot. Tweet Link Archived Tweet The promised deadline was the catalyst for my bid on this auction. At the time of the bid, I was not made aware that Mischief Makers had a queue going back years. I had a positive experience commissioning them in 2016, so I expected this commission would be another positive experience. PLEASE NOTE: Mischief Makers (or Dealer’s Den) has removed the auction listing, so I cannot screencap it. It now leads to an error page. On September 30th, I sent my design to them for approval, and the design was approved. I won the auction for $7,100, as shown in my Dealer’s Den history here: I informed Mischief Makers of my auction win on October 12, 2019: I received my invoice from Mischief Makers, and sent the payment shortly after: I did not receive any communication from Mischief Makers from October 2019 through April 2020. Concerned about my commission’s deadline, given the summer deadline advertised in the auction, I reached out to Mischief Makers on April 1, 2020: When I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, I followed up on April 7, 2020 and asked them when I should send my DTD. At this point I became aware that the auction page was removed either by Mischief Makers or by Dealer’s Den. I did not receive a response to my email. I contacted Mischief Makers via Telegram. I sent a message on April 5th that was unanswered. My message from April 8th was answered: In this message, Mischief Makers informed me they would improve their communication. I decided I would be patient sometime longer. Fast forward to July 2020, I sent Mischief Makers some follow up messages via Telegram, asking about the start date to my commission. My messages from July 13 and July 20 were not answered. I started looking around on Twitter to see if anyone else was having trouble with Mischief Makers, and came across numerous people indicating that Mischief Makers was ghosting them on commissions that were years old. After some callouts from other customers, Mischief Makers posted a Tweet on July 27th acknowledging their poor communication and committing to fixing it. Link to Tweet Link to Archived Tweet I sent an email to Mischief Makers after reading this post on July 27, 2020, in which I expressed that I was not willing to wait for them to finish their years long queue to get to my commission, as the commission was advertised with a specific deadline, and I bidded accordingly: I also sent this same message via Telegram: I did not receive a response to either message. I followed up on August 18, asking for a chance to discuss the commission. This message was not responded to either. On August 22nd, there were numerous customers discussing Mischief Maker’s lack of communication and lack of commission progress or updates within in the Mischief Makers Telegram Chat. One customer noted that Mischief Makers had a queue of 28 suits, with a number of other customers not present on the queue. At this point, an individual named Keitel came forward and asked that customers direct their inquiries toward them. This message was placed in the Mischief Makers telegram chat: On August 29th, I contacted Keitel per these instructions: I did not receive a response from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 1st: I continued to not receive any communication from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel on September 8th again. At this point, I was informed that my suit was delayed, but that I should get my suit by the end of the year, and that it would be worked on alongside other suits. I found this reasonable, and hoped for the best. Fast forward to December 2020, and I hadn’t heard from Keitel or Mischief Makers regarding my suit. Given the new promised deadline, I became concerned and contacted Keitel on December 2nd asking for an update, and when I should send my DTD. On December 7th, I still had not heard from Mischief Makers, so I followed up with Keitel again: On December 8th, Keitel responded to me and said that Mischief Makers hadn’t responded to them yet. On December 13th, I informed Keitel that Mischief Makers still hadn’t contacted me. Keitel informed me that Mischief Makers had not contacted them either. At this point I informed Keitel that if the suit wasn’t complete by the end of the year, I would expect a refund. On December 14, I followed up with Keitel and informed them that Mischief Makers still had not responded. On December 15th, Mischief Makers finally reached out to me. The message I received from Mischief Makers was as follows (along with an indication that Keitel seems to no longer be involved with communication): I informed Mischief Makers that I was happy to give them more time if I could get consistent communication and a reasonable frequency for updates. I asked them when they expect the suit would be completed. As of December 21st, today, Mischief Makers has not answered my question despite having viewed it. I sent this message today: At this point, I am sad to express that I do not trust Mischief Makers will provide me the consistent communication or updates as I have requested. My willingness to accept a later deadline is contingent on trusting my fursuit maker will not ghost me and will continue to provide updates, even if the progress is slow. The silence has spoken. At this point, to resolve this situation, I would like a refund of $7100.
  5. I preordered two pins of Raver’s characters from Charapins a year ago. Cost me $32 with shipping. He gave me the run around for months after. I even found a post saying that the pins had arrived and I asked there and on Twitter when the pins were getting sent out. I haven’t heard from him since March. I don’t expect my money back and I don’t even want the pins at this point. I know I’m one of many people that Raver has ghosted but I figured I’d share my experience as well. And last message was sent 07/28/21
  6. Christmas was coming around and due to financial troubles, Chesta wanted to take emergency commissions to earn a bit of cash to spend on her three children. Proof of commission: https://sta.sh/024qbp1cjo2s Proof of purchase: https://sta.sh/011ldghfgpgk https://sta.sh/01wplj8ap2b3 She did have a lot on her plate, so I didn't worry about it. However, she has a Trello and didn’t update it often, so if anything, I was a bit nervous that she forgot about me. But a simple reminder should do. I noted her in April 2018 (forgot the original day, sorry) and asked if I could get my name on the Trello and was giving her a gentle poke in that direction. Sadly, no reply. I tried again, copy paste the original note on June 2018. Still no reply. Getting a little nervous, I wrote out another note on July 12th 2018, asking about my commission and expressing my understanding of the hardships she’s facing. However, I did mention, since it has been 6 months since the original commission was paid for, I was debating to get a refund. I was practically begging for her to reply to my notes. She did...telling me that I wasn’t forgotten and she doesn’t update her Trello enough to be reliable. Proof of unopened notes: https://sta.sh/0rx20svjd58 Proof of reply: https://sta.sh/0cqypc2a1f6 It wasn’t until November 2018 where I was knuckling down on this. I want my art and she’s not delivering. Not even WIPs or personal updates to me. Her situation is getting worse and she’s constantly taking on more and more work. I gave her another note, trying to get her to be honest with me. I wanted to help her. I was trying to be good and understanding because of my own experiences. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. Proof of conversation: https://sta.sh/0urchox90qe (1) https://sta.sh/0x1byin29n2 (2) 5 days after this conversation (11/13), she wrote a PSA about explaining her actions (please note the comments are disabled). Sadly, she only refunded a handful of people (questionable) because she “is already working on the other commissions”. I was not refunded, because she claimed that she was working on my commission...but still no WIPs to defend herself. [Cut by mods. The journal is really personal. It should be noted that very personal information is being shared to clients who have been waiting for commissions.] The end of November, she gave out her email to everyone because she disabled her notes since they got too overwhelming. Proof of journal: https://sta.sh/0d2xvgeg56f I emailed her, laying down the line because I was losing my patience. More or less, I said, “Art or refund.” She pleaded with me to wait a week because she would finish my commission within that time frame. Allowing her one last chance, I agreed. It was November 30th 2018. The completed time would be December 7th 2018. Proof of email: https://sta.sh/013d1a9hxz8s (1) https://sta.sh/01954getkwvv (2) https://sta.sh/01yutosn7v2e (3) It’s been one month since that email. It’s now the New Year and I emailed her one last time, demanding the art or I will inform Paypal of fraud. She is telling me that she has it...but must wait until she gets home. Not since she got her internet back up (which was apparently on the 7th of January), she’s been radio silent on my commission. Yesterday, she posted only one commission; a more recent commission that she took on a month or so ago. I’ve had enough of this waiting game and pulled out the big guns. I filed a dispute with my bank on January, 9th 2019. Hopefully, I’ll get good news. Proof of email: https://sta.sh/02fzg9vaz8ds (1) https://sta.sh/0100d5wwgzxl (2) Proof of bank dispute message: https://sta.sh/01foihsglonb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It’s been a month since I’ve heard back from the bank, still left in the dark. So far, nothing. Chesta finally got some motivation to do some commission work and is actually posting again. She then did note me, asking for “certain” details on my OCs Proof of notes (NSFW!!): https://sta.sh/0cr9d1o5n36 However, despite this, I’m still posting this Artist Beware. If I FINALLY obtain the commission, I will update this Beware and say, “It is finished” and call it resolved. Edit update by Celestina: Chesta's response. https://sta.sh/0e408suwx31 Edit 2 update by Celestina: My bank got back to me two days ago, unable to help without "contacting the merchant". After today's journal, I know she will not take kindly to any pressuring for either commissions or money. She did make a new journal today...but more or less, it's another copy/paste job of pity, saying far more personal stuff and how she's sorry that she's slow and disappeared and "should be coming back soon." https://sta.sh/01icefwqiixy
  7. So this starts on June 17th, 2020 when I commissioned them for a $20 YCH. I'm also in the market for a new reference sheet at the time, so we briefly discuss that as well. (Please note that the original YCH posting I won appears to have been taken down, however with how many YCHes the artists generally posts it's a non-zero chance that I'm just unable to find it). I completely forget about it and don't hear anything until March 8th, 2021, when I get this note. I assume there will be updates there so I join. Turns out she calls the server "BrokenVocaloid's Good Boys" and everyone who's commissioned her gets the role "good boy". I mention I'd like her to create another role maybe called "Good girl" due to myself being transgender and being called a "good boy" causing dysphoria. She doesn't discuss anything with anyone, over reacts, and completely revamps the server. (I did not take screenshots of this, and have since been removed from the server). I feel horrible about doing this to her out of nowhere, so I ask to support her at her "Golden Children" tier, which is supposed to come with benefits like free art, etc, etc. As mentioned earlier, when I got the YCH I told her I might be interested in a ref. Again, I felt bad I caused her to completely redo her server, so I moved forward and asked for a ref of Ruby. I don't hear anything that week. So on the 16th, I ask for an update on the WIP. I only asked for the update because she said she'd send the WIP within the week, normally I give artists like a month before I poke them for an update unless they give me an expectation. She ignores me. I ask again on the 19th. She ignores me. On the 24th I message her again. She points to the fact her grandmother was testing for cancer as the reason I don't have the WIP (this was posted on her journal on furaffinity here https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9797437/, and is public knowledge). I'd also asked about the YCH which at the time was 9 months overdue before her grandmother went into testing. She dodged that question. I backed down since I figured she was grieving. Ends with "I'll do it now", setting another expectation. On 4/3, I realize I might never get the ref, so I hedge my bets. I like getting all my refs from the same person, so I ask her if she can switch to my Umbreon character instead as I care much less about that reference sheet. She says she's already started working on Ruby. On 4/13, She randomly solicits me for another commission since she functionally needs something for her portfolio. I still feel bad from the original interaction in her server, so I accept. Note that she said "I will have ALOT of wips for ya tomorrow" On 4/17 I message again. She says she can send the WIPs that evening. She then sends me a discord invite to her streaming server, so I figure she's gonna stream herself working on my commission. She spends the entire evening streaming other people's commissions, and I feel extremely disappointed. So I message her again on 4/18, I'm ignored. 4/19 I write up a small wall of explanation of why I'm upset doing my best to be reasonable and professional. I get another story as to why she doesn't have them done, I'm willing to accept it at face value because things happen, and it's a somewhat reasonable story. By 5/7 I'm sick of asking for updates. I at this point noticed her artist bewares and saw someone reference her having a trello in one of them, so I ask her for it. Ignored. 5 days on 5/12 later I message her again, she doesn't even answer the question I asked at first. On 5/19 I reach a point of frustration where I tell her I don't want the art anymore and tell her to just not bother. She's been posting a lot of YCHes and saying she needs money for food, so I'm willing to let her keep the money as I'd feel bad taking that money away from her. This is the image I sent her in the previous screenshot. She says she's not going to keep the money without doing the work, so I relent. She says it'll be out within the week again. On 5/27 I ask for a refund because frankly she basically begged to be allowed to finish the commissions and then ignored her own deadline without even bothering to communicate once again. I clearly state that I'd like it back within 2 weeks or I will be filing a chargeback as I've seen other people here have issues getting refunds. I still forgive the $25 from the "Golden Child" tier because there was no direct tangible agreement there, and I feel like asking for that refund would be unreasonable. Her comment "I have a life and stuff happeend personally i had to take care of ^^; I know people dont care about that so I dont push it on them" felt like a personal attack implying I don't care about her at all, which feels completely unwarranted. Discussion about the refund. I suspect she sketched out that "WIP" in the hour and a half between my message and her message just based on how resistant to showing me she was right up until that point, the fact her explanation makes no sense, as well as the fact that the change in the way she types (using the ~ at the end of the sentence for example) comes off as smug in some way. Today (6/13) I still haven't received the refund. She's stated I'll have it tomorrow, so I'm giving her a single final chance to follow through, otherwise I'll be filing the chargeback. I strongly recommend you do not work with this person under any circumstances. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, disingenuous, and like a long string of excuses for the fact she takes on more work than she can handle with no intention of ever completing it, and I'd estimate that your odds of getting your commissions are a coin flip at best. I will be genuinely impressed if I get the refund I've been promised at this point.
  8. I purchased three YCH pieces from the artist ("BrokenVocaloid" on FurAffinity) at the beginning of this year. (see the following: "FireShot Capture 001 - BrokenVocaloid YCH commission 1.jpg", "FireShot Capture 002 - BrokenVocaloid YCH commission 2.jpg", & "FireShot Capture 003 - BrokenVocaloid YCH commission 3.jpg") None of which have been finished and the artist hasn't even given any work-in-progress. All pieces were paid in full immediately upon my claiming them. (see "Message 01.jpg", "Message 02.jpg", "Message 03.jpg", "Payment for BrokenVocaloid YCH commission 1.jpg", & "Payment for BrokenVocaloid YCH commission 2 & 3.jpg") Links for the aforementioned YCHs: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34518839/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34859599/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34859584/ With the COVID situation going on as well as the number of other commissions that the artist had, I allowed the artist more time to finish them. At one point sometime in April (exact date unknown, artist has since deleted the related journal), the artist posted a journal asking all commissioners that had not received their owed art to send them a message with the related details. I responded with the required details and the artist confirmed(see "Message 04.jpg" & "Message 05.jpg"). In September, I made another inquiry as to the progress of the commissions. The artist stated that the owed art would be completed soon. (see "Message 06.jpg") On November 1st, when over 270 days had passed since the pieces were paid for, there had still been no progress nor completed art. I was tired of waiting and asked for a refund (see "Message 07.jpg"). Throughout the entire year, I had seen the artist complete other commissions and post them, even YCH pieces that were purchased long after I had purchased mine. I have asked the artist for a refund numerous times, to which they have stated that they would give said refund, but have yet to do so. (see "Message 08.jpg", "Message 09.jpg", & "Message 10.jpg") I tried to submit a dispute through PayPal, but it had been well over the 180 days stated in PayPal's refund policy since the purchase. Thus, I am unable to force the artist to refund my money. The artist has made numerous promises to refund my money, but at this point I believe they are nothing but a lying thief and the evidence is on my side. *Note: some images were website captures taken in late October for my own records in case the artist attempted to lie about said commissions. These images have been converted to ".jpg" from ".pdf" and are lower quality than I would like, however they are still legible.
  9. I thought I got a steal. 3 Months ago I purchased two commissions from this artist at the same time. The transaction was paid for and done the same day in the same receipt. I made multiple attempts to receive the work and never did. Was just led on time after time while watching their queues fill with more and more work they were somehow producing and still getting paid for by other people. On month 3 I messaged for a refund and was told to search through the SCRAPS on their FA, link them to the two I want that AREN'T the originals I paid for, link them my reference again, and they would finish it in a week. At this point I am making this because they flood FA with YCHs but have been finishing commissions of favorites firstly. Others like me go without ours for months even with reminders. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_04/Screenshot_20200423-062625.png.d87535b97f84221e11158d2e3e8f14d5.png 05.03.20: No refund has come.
  10. I had originally contacted this artist on December 30th for a Batty YCH. The turnaround time on the initial post was 2 weeks. I had unwatched them due to the constant NSFW YCH spam daily (100+). They filled my submissions constantly and was super annoying imo. I wasnt aware of some of their update journals and I wasnt reached out to. I contacted Feb 24th about my ych and they said it would be the next day. I was giving birth to my daughter on the 26th of February so I was too busy to message them after not receiving the art as they said. A few months later I contacted again and got the same excuse. at this point I just wanted a refund because no W.I.P. were sent in 6 months. Their trello is also ungodly long ^^; So far i have been waiting a couple weeks for my refund while continuously getting the excuse "can you wait till so and so date" Do not commission them if you value your money
  11. CW: Talk of trans masc anatomy *I'd like to note when I mention "FtM anatomy / T cock" I'm referencing the clitoral growth a person gets when they start testosterone* Back in late august / early september 2019, I stumbled across one of many of BrokenVocaloid's YCH's. I really liked the pose, the price was low and so I noted her and asked if she was still open for the YCH. I am trans; female to male, and my main fursona reflects this, so I asked if; instead of a cum version, I could have a trans FtM version, as well as the standard cis male version + clean version, and that I'd be happy to pay extra for this ( I even double check I was super clear on what I was requesting!). She approved this request and upped the price tag from $25 to $40, I sent her the payment and my reference sheet (SFW, I didn't have a NSFW ref at the time). https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3264.thumb.PNG.d91575204c664e8403519bca80e6720f.PNG A month passes, and I'm getting curious as to where my artwork is, so I ask for progress. I got hit with a very vague response of "everything is going fine". I foolishly trust it, and wait a couple more months before asking again. She tells me she keeps updates via journals, and that she aims to get her current queue finished before January 2020 or at the very most within the first week of January. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3265.thumb.PNG.2b4d15de39bfde3e2dc34d78b1b00d35.PNGhttps://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3266.thumb.PNG.5bae8074867b1e0911175f385a3a291b.PNG Of course, January was almost over, and still no sign of my completed YCH. I noticed from her Journals she now had a "manager" under the name Sadoka, and if there was any problems to contact them over on telegram. I let Sadoka know I'd been waiting on this YCH for 4 months, and sent all the details over. No response, but I assume the word was sent to BrokenVocaloid, as she messaged me saying I need to describe what I asked for. I will admit, things get scrambled here - rotating between contacting both Broken and Sadoka on telegram and Broken on FA (all messages are still provided). But the tipping point for me, was when I notified Broken I'm not on her current queue, she asked what I was after, then suddenly after all this time, she can't draw trans FtM anatomy (this is on FA). I then reply to her if I could just have a refund, after she's now refusing to draw something she said she could, and charged me extra for. Then, she bombards me with excuses on my telegram. https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3267.thumb.PNG.2621a7ca2d9aba6f7c54b4a80389a078.PNGhttps://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3268.thumb.PNG.83b81dfd1ed285307650107a0e34c3f2.PNG https://cdn.artistsbeware.info/monthly_2020_07/IMG_3269.thumb.PNG.89d689c9d40501120a0b389d88dc7a41.PNG Here, she is putting the blame on me for not providing a reference of FtM anatomy, that she's never been asked to draw that before, etc. I'd like to remind everyone that it has been 8 months, and she has left it until now to say she needed a reference / can't draw that. I wouldn't have taken it sourly if she had just said so in the first place, instead of explicitly agreeing to it with no need for references and knowingly charging me extra! Also blaming me for not reminding her I'm not on her trello queue. She agrees to give me a refund and to have it over in 3 weeks (surprise surprise, I still don't have it) The "large clits make me uncomfortable" is an interesting statement too, take that how you will. Again, just pouring out excuse after excuse, and linking proof as to why she's in the right. I understand we face struggles in life, and their is a lot of mention from her journals about mental health, hence being extremely forgiving and being patient, waiting for as long as I did. And that's the end of the conversations! I still haven't received a refund, despite contacting her through both FA and paypal. I wish I'd have asked for a refund sooner and not been so forgiving. I can accept I could have been better and contacted her about the queue sooner, but she had no excuse for this. It's too late for me to get my money back with buyer protection, so I just have a slither of hope; maybe BrokenVocaloid will see this and send my refund that she promised for the end of may. It's almost been a year since asking for this YCH and I'm tired. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PERSON!
  12. I payed for this YCH (down below) Since I like bigger proportions I asked which did increase the price Sent payment after I sent payment I waited quite a bit since I usually like to give the artist time before asking for progress. though almost a year is pretty bad without them messaging me. So I sent a message to their manager asking if I could get a refund. Nothing was sent so I messaged the manager again 3 months later I was hoping the manager would have it settled, not the case they never responded after that. So I messaged the artist. Thought that would have fixed it wrong again. Still waited on good faith. They read the next note but never responded I started to get frustrated so now every month I send them a paypal money request They wont respond to notes or paypal request's. So here I am putting up an Artist Beware
  13. Found artist advertising commissions on Reddit under the reddit name "meal_t1me" . I had gotten a commission from them initially on 5/21/21 with no issues whatsoever, and then a few days later they sent me a DM begging me for money. After some dispute over the amount, I agreed on a second commission. I sent a payment for this commission for £26.25 (£25 + tip) on 5/29/21. A few weeks passed with no response from the Artist to which they finally messaged me with that they are "being thretened to be doxed". More weeks passed with no response. On 6/17/21 I requested a refund for the commission. A day later they said they are sorry, they are being threatened, and "will get to my commission ASAP" It is now 7/16/21 and the artist deleted their discord and reddit accounts. All screenshots of our conversation, and proof of paypal transaction are being submitted with this post, with sensitive information censored out. Some important things to note: [Mod Note: We removed a segment on supposed proof of the user "begging" for money. While this artist's behavior is inexcusable, they were not begging for money. They were asking for work.] Artist begging for money in a direct message to me Artist using multiple discord accounts [Mod Note: Upon looking around, this isn't two discords. It's Nitro] Artist using multiple paypal accounts Artist changed the agreed upon price of a commission Artist has deleted all means of contact
  14. Caudle does not create art pieces, instead he creates audios that feature a variety of kinks. Things like hypnosis, vore, coiling and the like. He writes the script, creates the sounds, and hires a voice actor for it. He mostly creates audios for purchase on his store at Sibylline Sounds, but he also offers custom audios of your character. I commed him to get a vore audio of one of my characters. I sent in an application and he responded the same day confirming the details and giving a deadline of 2-3 weeks. (Some of the email correspondence will have weird formatting. This is because I deleted them from my inbox and had to find them in my sent mail. Also, I censored his email, because while it is the official email for his store, I wanted to be cautious.) I confirmed the details and paid the invoice. After about a month with no updates I contacted him asking for an update and was told there were some delays and I would have a script to approve that week. I was never sent a script, so I waited a couple of weeks. After not hearing anything I contacted him again at the end of May asking for another update. He apologized for the delay and told me he would send a script soon. Which I never received. After this I held off from requesting updates for a couple of months thinking that the pandemic and things going on in his personal life were probably taking precedence. In December of 2020 I sent another email asking for an update, but got no response. Finally near the end of January 2021 he contacted me and gave a short update, including a small draft of the script. I was told that it should be finished sometime in early February. Never got contacted in February, so I waited a couple months and sent a request for an update in April, but got no response. Later on in the beginning of June I sent another email asking for a response. He replied back, saying the delay was because the voice actor he wanted to use was not responding to any of his messages. He offered a refund, but I declined because I really do want this audio. I asked to be kept informed about the status of the audio and he agreed to send me updates every week. After a couple of weeks of not getting any updates I sent an email asking if he had any luck finding new voice actors. He replied that he had and sent me some demo reels of a couple of actors. A couple of days later I asked for an update on the script and he replied that he made some progress on it, but was having writer's block and asked for suggestions for other scenarios. That is the last correspondence between us. I still really do want this audio, his work is amazing. I understand that creating an audio is more complex than general art. I do understand that delays and IRL stuff do happen. I just wish he were more communicative about that. If delays happen I want to be informed and if I deadline is missed I want to be contacted about it instead of me having to contact him.
  15. Contacted the Artist on the date of August 25th 2019 after seeing them advertise in a Dealer Den group on Telegram. Commissioned from them an Icon and a Sketch. After talking about the commissions for a short while I payed them. The next month they told me they were going through personal stuff and thus they've been radio silent. They said it'd be done by the following Sunday and thanked me for my patience. That was the last time I'd hear from them. For the next few months all the way to April of 2020 I would message them to try to get some form of update from them. On Feb 9th 2020 I sent them a message asking for any kind of update and that I'd be fine with the wait so long as they gave me anything. On April 16th 2020 I've had my last straw and sent them a lengthy post telling them that the ghosting was unacceptable and that I'd be reporting them to the telegram group I saw them on originally. Months later they deleted their Telegram completely. Their FA hasn't had a post in a year and their Twitter is Private. Chat logs will be posted as photos however with their real name blacked out. A final attempt was made to contact the artist again on May 15th on the email address specified plainly on their FA account and the artist has not responded, since.
  16. i approached Devicre in September to ask about if they did comics to which they said they were willing to take on my project despite the lack of experience in the field. I gave them the details then we agreed on a payment amount and i began making payments. I received rough wips of 2/5 pages in october. I eventually had to stop in October as i went away for a personal anniversary. In November i didn't make payments because of the weirdness of paypal bouncing funds around during a dispute with customer so when i thought they took money for Devicre they had took money for random disputes, but i made the final payments in DEC and told Devicre we could pick it back up in January since they had to take commissions between the time frame i was gone. This was ok for me because between December-January i was in the hospital so nothing could be done anyhow. Once we reconnected and were ready to start, a fallout with a former friend who i was gifting this comic to led to me wanting the comic to be changed to not include them and we agreed on a valentines day comic instead. They said they could do it and we went with the new idea and char. February 20th came and id received no wips or updates. February 25th and they tell me they would need more money to put the comic idea to action. I decided against paying more since there had been no wips and said scrap the vday comic just go back to the other comic then because we already agreed to the pages for that and 2 were sketched out so no reason it cant be finished. March came and no updates i asked for updates i got nothing. I decided to give them space to work and didn't ping them again til May for a update to which i received no answer and started to look around for their activity, and a wip to which neither was available. At this time id done my research to find any page thy were active on since they weren't active on fa but would pop up once a while on picarto to stream commissions they took. I caught them the first time and message them there they finally answered me this was may 7th and on twitter i sent a message but they said they never got it. I was given a run around about them having backlog due to the commission not being done in sept and oct. but as i'd told them they had from dec-may to start something. We came to a mutual understanding they would work on the comic in may and start over with where we were. May came and gone and once more i was left in the dark on may #1st they said their hand was hurting from a injury of some sort but id by then found them streaming many times on commission work they recently took up even so much as offering in steam commissions. I given them the ultimatum of giving me a start and finish date or refund me to which their response was they were gonna stream it that morning but after me being pushy they don't feel like it. They once more gave me a finish date of the end of the month for June but once more fell thru on that. They told me they offered me at one point to scrap the comic and trade out for regular arts but i refused that offer i wanted the comic or a refund. I received a sketchy wip on June 22nd after no response and the looming threat of a beware to them. I eventually popped into their streams a few times where they had a queue and saw they listed my comic under commissions and was upset addressing the fact my commission was from last yr so no other commission could possibly have come before that or their statement of having to clear their schedule back then for me would have been a lie. Fast forward in July i asked for a update i got no answer. I saw on fa they randomly made a come back post in august saying they will be active and taking commissions and ychs and old commissioners had to email them if they wanted their work done by aug14th, I emailed them and i was met with excuses but told they will get it done.once the time frame came and gone i emailed again and got no answer or response back, i also received no answer on discord . As of today i am unable to charge back because i do not have that paypal anymore and it well past the protection date anyhow, looking thru my bank statements it seems i only paid 200 thru my bank and the rest thru paypal balance. They owe me a refund at this point in time. in my screenshots i will cross out any personal information and the name and picture of the person who was to be in the original comic as we are not on terms and i do not wish to get them involved... the first few are from fa the second set is from discord the last set is from picarto whisper chat system and then there is the email and proof of payments
  17. - At TFF I commissioned Onnanoko to create an articulated badge. The price for the badge was $100, $50 of which was paid up front. The original plan was for me to pick up the badge at BLFC 2020. When BLFC 2020 was canceled I said that I would pay for the badge to be shipped. Onnanoko replied, 'that is very kind of you, thank you ^^' That was April 19, 2020. 14 months ago. That was the last message I received from her. Since then I have sent a series of follow ups, none of which have even been read. She has not responded to a single request, despite visibly logging on Telegram multiple times. I am out $50. -
  18. I paid for a full body piece of Blazing Ifrit's commission which happened in June of last year. I was happy that he was sending me WIPs of my commission but I noticed he started taking other commissions as well which he hasn't fulfilled mine yet. When I asked him why the commission wasn't finished yet, he basically said that he was having a difficult time with his friend (or sister) with their suicidal thoughts. I cut him slack because he was going through a hard time. After a couple months , I poked him seeing how he was and if there was any progress at all. He gave me one more WIP on FurAffinity but after that, he hasn't been giving me updates or WIPs at all. Today, I asked him if I could get a refund and waiting to hear back from him. This artist should be avoided due to their lack of communication and lack of service.
  19. Outline: -Original Agreement: Besped (aka Datfox on Discord) came to me on Discord after talking to me on FurAffinity in notes, where we exchanged our Discord names/codes. We talked in short detail about doing an animation for me containing just a single character in color of approximately four to six seconds. The total price of this animation quoted to me by Besped was $250, which we agreed to split into two separate invoices for $125 each. The first invoice was paid on December 23rd, 2019 while the second one was paid on March 13th, 2020. After March 24th, all communication form Besped/Datfox ceased for no discernible reason. They have not blocked me or unfriend and remain unresponsive after expressing my anger in no communication. - Proof of payment: Total is for $250, invoices were split into two for $125 each, paid in December 2019 and March 2020. See screenshots. - Any discussion with Besped/Datfox has solely been on discord as they seem to have gone quiet on FurAffinity, except for contacting certain users by notes. I have gotten all of my correspondence with Besped/Datfox in the screenshots provided. Any sort of contact information for any other location online does not appear to exist so finding alternative methods to contact the artist has been difficult. Most recent contact, unread.
  20. I commissioned Bianca for a half body pin up back in Aug 2019 I replied saying I'd sent the payment, then didn't get any response from them whatsoever Proof of payment: A few weeks went by and I hadn't gotten any updates, never got a response to me confirming payment, so I messaged them on twitter as they'd said they'd contact me through there. No response. I sent them and email, and then attempted through twitter again as I was still not getting a reply from them. Once I said I might ask for a refund, they finally decided to reply to me. They said they'd send me an update, and did so later. They also said they just had to clean it up. Again, months went by without hearing from them again at all. I was at a bit of a loss at this point, and seeing them constantly offer commissions and freebies on their twitter had me feeling some sort of way, so I replied to one of their tweets They DMd me and I decided to give them the option to refund me as I wasn't sure exactly what the issue was with them being unable to finish my commission. They said they'd get back to me, but as expected, they never did. After this, it's just the same thing with me waiting for months, then having to poke them on twitter about the commission, some times having to message them several times before getting a response. Message proof below. After this they sent me some other messages explaining the situation and saying they were having some trouble (there's some personal info that's not needed so omitting the long explanation), they also said they'd give my commission priority Since they'd explained things, I gave them a different character to draw, hoping maybe this one would be an easier thing for them to do. I was hoping for a confirmation on what they had decided to do in the end, but again, no response whatsoever for months. After this, I let it be for a long time because once again I felt at a loss about what to do. In the end I decided to ask for a refund as I felt I'd waited long enough. I haven't gotten a response, at this point I don't know what else to do other than warn other people in hopes they don't have to go through something like this, as I've pretty much given up on ever getting the art or a refund.
  21. Product (PWYW Commission) was offered as a public solicitation in a local State Telegram Chat. I was interested and contacted the seller via direct message on Telegram with inquiries. They explained that they were offering "Pay What you Want" (PWYW) commissions for sale: "just tell me what u want and a price and ill do it" to which I responded with for a $10 traditional commission request. After providing my character reference and commission details they gave me their paypal address and responded "ill get started when im on break", and "and i cant start until paid btw :)" to which I immediately paid $10 for. Up until now, all of this had occurred within one day on February 19, 2020. After I sent the payment, we had casual conversation about their fursuit and our dogs, which does not have much relevance here. My next communication with the seller was on March 10, 2020: I sent another Telegram DM "Hey there. Have you had a chance to work on the pwyw I had paid for a little bit ago?" to which they responded "no- i ned to make a trello. my commission list is so big atm xD. cuz i opened a ton of like $1 headshots". This was no big deal to me, it wasn't even a month since I purchased the commission and they seemed to have taken in a lot of other commissions at the time. On March 11, 2020 they reached out to me, "To all of my commissioners: its been super hard to keep on schedule so i have decided to make a trello 🙂 please send your ref(s) and what you purchased at your earliest convinience so i can add you to my trello, hope to satisfy you with my work soon - Connor~!" and I immediately resent my reference sheet along with the details that I paid for a $10 pwyw commission. On April 10, 2020 I sent the seller a screenshot of our previous telegram history of the initial 2/19/20 communication to which they replied "ty" On May 2, 2020 I replied to my 4/10/20 message asking "Any update on this? If you can't do it can you just refund me the $10?" to which they responded "i cant as that was my exs paypal. and he took it over" This was the last time that I spoke with the seller. To this day (Currently 06/08/21) I have gotten neither commission or a refund. In short, the seller made a solicitation in a public Telegram chat and I requested a $10 commission on 02/19/20 which I paid that day. Months went by with no commission despite me asking about it every once in awhile, and on 05/02/20 I requested a final update or a refund to which the seller said they could not do because the paypal that I sent the money to was not theirs and the actual owner locked them out. I never got a commission or a refund. Relevant images of the discussions I had with this seller and paypal transaction history are shown below. I censored out the seller's paypal address for the purpose of this posting.:
  22. Originally contacted on December 10, 2014: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6331414/#cid:43439341 Payment supplied on December 19, 2014: Originally paid for a 2 character picture, have currently been waiting almost 7 years with limit contact from the artist. Every time contact has been attempted I am either met with excuses or stories of troubling life events (Which I can understand to a degree). Although I believe I have been patient with the artist, I personally feel it is unacceptable to have taken my money and not provide any updates on what is happening. Since initial contact the artist has taken on other commission work AND finished them in a timely fashion while I am left waiting. They have also bounced around to different websites (Initial contact was on FurAffinity. They have also been spotted opening commissions through twitter in very recent times). I have managed to have recent contact with them through Telegram, and have even agreed on a different image as they had "lost" the WIP they had made for me. Agreed image would be 1 less character, so what would be regarded as an image of less cost from what I originally paid for. Since the agreement I have tried to keep in contact with the artist to attempt to make sure that there is frequent communication but have so far not even had my messages read, even though telegram states they have been active. I would have more conversation logs, however since the length of time I have waited for the artist, most of the chatlogs on FA have disappeared and Skype has become a thing of the distant past.
  23. I commissioned Angela on Furry Amino for a chibi fullbody on a base on the 4th of March 2021. The commissioned was $8. I lost the original thread of messages (their messages) since their profile was banned on Furry Amino. When a profile/account gets banned, all their messages get deleted as well. I sent payment on March 4 to Angela (payment receipt below). After a while, I try to reach ask her for more progress (if any), and whether my commission was completed yet. This was when I found out that their profile has been banned. Since their profile was banned, I tried emailing them on the PayPal email I sent the money to, but there was no response on the email (at the time). So, I asked a curator (a staff of Furry Amino) if I could take a look at their profile to see what other social media they're on, and they gave me a screenshot of their profile. I noticed that in their bio, there is a text that says "angxlavex" (the fancy text). I tried looking on different sites, and found that they are mostly active on toyhou.se, so I sent them a message. I sent her a message on 13 May, saying that she still owes me a $8 chibi. I asked her for a refund because so far, it seems like she wasn't going to complete the commission at all. 😞 She then replied (quite promptly) saying that she doesn't "have the toyhou.se usernames of everyone who had commissioned me", even though I never received any kind of contact from her (she never tried to reach out to me on my email on paypal, or literally anywhere else.. my username is 2DFIEND on every site btw). I replied, saying that surely she would have a list somewhere? And I asked for a refund, but she ghosted me, even though she already opened the message. They have opened and (I assume) read my message asking for a refund- if she hasn't opened my message, the text would be pink. I sent her another message on May 19, which basically has the same contents as the image above (asking for a refund, transaction ID and date). The message that was sent on May 19 is pink, which means she hasn't read it while the other one, she has opened it. Within the same hour of sending that message, she read my message, but still, no reply. They changed their username from angxlavex to inactiveaccont as of 18/5/2021: Update on the email as of 25/5/2021: I got a reply back on the email that was attached to the PayPal account, and I was told that Angela was not the owner of the account, and that the actual owner (the person emailing me back) has been letting Angela use it. He also told me his name (blue) and Angela's real name (pink), I blocked them all out for privacy. Proof that https://www.facebook.com/angela.vexx and https://www.facebook.com/purr.via is the same person as angxlavex on toyhou.se- the first two screenshots show that the same artwork was posted to toyhou.se within a week of each other. With the other two screenshots, angxlavex posted the EDITED version on her toyhou.se way back in February, and Purr Via used the unedited version as her profile picture on 19 May, and also has a copy of the unwatermarked image of the edited version. TLDR; I commissioned Angela, waited for 2+ months, they gave me no updates and they ended up getting banned on Furry Amino. I tried to reach out to her on toyhou.se (because she made 0 effort to try and look for me), and I asked her for her a refund but she changed her toyhou.se username, and didn't reply to my message even though she opened it. Basically, she ran away after I asked for a refund.
  24. Early in November someone I followed on twitter posted some art by an anonymous artist. Goopy approached me claiming she was the artist and after some back and forth I ended up commissioning her for a ref sheet totaling just over $68 USD/$85 CAD. Sadly my twitter account has been suspended so the initial conversation has been lost. During the first few days after payment she was actually quick with responses and actually proved a few WiPs, even giving some insight on changing some character details This was the last update on the order since I paid her A while later and after a bit of small talk I bring it up with her again as it's been a four months at this point. She was facing some personal issues at the time which I excused believing it would be resolved in time. Two more months pass by and yet again I ask if there has been any progress since then, I get yet another reasoning as to why she hasn't been working on it with an issue that I would have thought could have been resolved by the next day After that I was getting a bit frustrated and just decided to ask for a refund, she's since then still hasn't replied to me. What's even more aggravating is knowing she's doing fine and well, as she's been streaming on twitch up to 5 hours a day on some days. Mod note: Twitch cap removed because it was difficult to read and too large. But it was here. At the current time of this it's been six months since I've paid her, and I can no longer go through paypal to dispute the charge. I know there's another beware of this artist here already and really just hoping more people can be aware before she starts accepting more money from people.
  25. Hello, TL;DR: ChubbyCappie is keeping me on the hook for a $45 for five months with minimal communication and no proof of progress. ---- I never wanted to make a beware for any artist, but given the circumstances and the outcome at this point, my hand has been forced. It may not even be totally relevant for the future since they don't seem to be taking commissions outwardly anymore, but this was still a very poor experience, and warrants a beware as it is the only option I have at this point. For context, I have previously commissioned CC before (mid Sept of 2020) and was very happy with the result, not to mention receiving it within three days of me paying/first contacting. I didn't expect this to be any different, except for the fact I've now waited five months and have had minimal communication (all of which was from me to them; they never reached out to me first). ---- On November 24th, 2020, I contacted CC for another commission idea I had. I received a response the following day and sent my information to them, and I paid the invoice that day. Proof of payment (they don't have their name publicly available afaik so I censored it): Some time passes, it's now December 12th, and I haven't heard anything, so I reach out to them. I get a response on Dec 20th, and they ask for proof of payment, so I send it to them (censoring URL as it has the above screenshot but with less censored): This is the last time I heard from ChubbyCappie for months. Mid February of 2021 rolls around and I'm now getting frustrated. I responded to the last message they sent me (I hadn't received any others): I receive no response, so in mid March, I send an email to their PayPal email letting them know I'm still waiting and giving them the necessary information. The screenshot cuts off the full text, so I'll include it here, minus the image information. Hi, I paid you back on Nov 25, 2020 for a commission. The information is on Furaffinity. You’ve been silent on there but I follow your Twitter and have seen you active there. I’m wondering if I’m going to get my commission, or if that’s not possible, then I’d like to receive a refund. For simplicity’s sake, I’m going to include all relevant information here. I received no response and initiated a chargeback, and finally I received a response. SIDE NOTE: I learned too late to NEVER withdraw the claim, even if the artist asks (I was aware it couldn't be reopened but did it anyway), and that is on me, I know. Unfortunately, I did so, hence why I'm writing this beware, since I already made the mistake. Yes I'm still beating myself up for it. And no, I'm not happy that they asked me to cancel it. They may not realize that that's bad form, but still. The last time I heard from ChubbyCappie was April 7th, 2021. (link is NSFW so I censored it; the pose I wanted is only suggestive, and there is no NSFW detail in the original links so I didn't censor them) Now at the end of April and at my wits' end, I sent them this as a note and email, and then followed with the addendum note/email. They have not seen either yet on FA. Some people might think I didn't wait long enough after sending my final heads up before writing this, but consider: I've already been waiting five months I've been struggling to remain in contact Everyone I've vented to about this told me they wouldn't have waited this long I haven't seen a single WIP or any proof they've started on my commission I am a very patient, understanding client. I don't mind if people have delays, I understand internet issues. But given their recent activity on their other accounts, the lack of communication is completely unacceptable and honestly insulting, and I will only wait so long. ---- Conclusion: I feel awful that I closed the claim and should have either accepted a refund if they didn't want to deal with the limited time frame or done whatever else would have happened. I'm accepting that I will probably just have to bite the bullet on this one and accept the loss of $45, since while I don't believe at all that ChubbyCappie was out to scam me, they did. And that's unacceptable. They continue to be active on YouTube and Twitter and have gone inactive on their FurAffinity, so my only hope is that they catch wind that there is a beware on them and find a way to right this wrong, and I will gladly mark it resolved and move on with no lasting ill-will towards them. Thank you for reading. I hope something comes from this, but at this point, I don't know.
