  1. hyndrim (hyndrim) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2019-01-22 09:10 Subject: Beware: Werewolf-kun Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/werewolf-kun/ https://twitter.com/werewolfkun https://werewolf-kun.tumblr.com/ When: August 10 2018 Proof: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/55ckejsexz3sspt/AADNpTopkcnP3rc-ijEk8b1Ma?dl=0 Explain: While at Furrydelphia I was looking to grab a new badge while waiting in line for the dealer's den to open up one person in front of me recommended Werewolf-kun to do the badge, after looking at what everyone else had to offer I grabbed a full body badge from them. The next day, me and the person I'm rooming with went into the dealer's den again just to look around and the artist noticed me and said the badge would get done by Sunday which I honestly was exacting based on the last I gotten. Skipping to the last day and about 30mins until the den was closed, I saw them nearly packed up and asked what's going on with the badge. Artist said their laminator broke, would have to finish it at home and would put in a few stickers and/or buttons as compensation for the extra wait. In hindsight I should have just asked for it as is and could have it laminated myself. Little over a week later (August 19th.) the artist got in touch with me on telegram stating they been working like crazy since they got back from the con, didn't think to much of it since my job was doing the same thing. Told me they would have it shipped out starting that Wednesday. Was able to get a hold of the artist on December 18th however things that where said didn't line up with things mentioned at the con or what little was said on telegram along with the last I checked the school holiday break only lasted till the new year. At this point giving them five weeks to get the badge done when they said they could have it done by Sunday at the con, failing to ship it out the first time and should have said the badge got damaged when/if it happened. If I didn't pay in cash I would have called my credit card company and forced a refund awhile ago.

I had received a deadline of October for this one but sadly that was delayed. I questioned the artist about it a few times after that and the days kept getting pushed further and further back before finally when it came to being asked last week (after failing to complete the commission back on Christmas) as they promised to complete it Monday. They were not in discussion at all and I'm afraid I felt as if I was waiting way too long without any real response so I had to issue a refund. Following months of asking for updates or any signs of life and only being pushed back more and more and more, I'm a bit exhausted of waiting... I'm tired of attempting to comment or note them to little avail until they say "Hey, my internet was out for x long." But, as an artist myself you don't really need the internet to use most programs or continue drawing. I'd like this beware to be tagged as "Resolved" but also would like this to have a "Caution" tag if possible due to these messages she left afterwards trying to claim it was personal reasons with me that she ignored my messages for the trade instead of just doing the trade from the start. https://sta.sh/028o4ohtup64 EXPLAIN: I had an art trade with this artist in which I've waited 5+ years for her to finish her half and periodically asked for updates throughout those years. When I actually confronted her about it a few months ago, she said she's been too busy and can't do it, yet I've seen her take trades after mine and do theirs and done gift art for other people. She also admitted to ignoring the messages I asked about it. When I said I was gonna let everyone on her discord server know (because I think they deserved to know), she kicked me from the server and blocked me. EXPLAIN: I commissioned 'Kwallie' back early February about commissioning a digital flat color commission featuring my fursona, Huttser Coyote, in a scene from How To Train Your Dragon. Kwallie was eager to accept the commission, and $20 was sent to her Paypal and received on February 16, 2012. Upon payment, I asked her to have it done within the following week (week of Feb. 16-23). After the note had been sent on FA, I received no further word from her, both on FA and DA. No notes were opened on either site. Since she provided her real name, I found her Facebook and politely asked for updates on my commission, since there was no communication on either site, and her Facebook is active (see updated Facebook). To this date, I have received no communication from her at all, and she continues to update her Facebook status and page frequently.

  6. Mar. 16th, 2012 at 12:47 PM keshimeg WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanillakitsune aka Stripesandteeth/Ash WHERE: VanillaKitsune.deviantart.com (now deactivated) also Vanimute@DA Vani@FA Stripesandteeth@Tumblr WHAT: Digital chibi, Digital Portrait WHEN: August 6th 2009 up until 20th December 2011 PROOF: Proof of payment http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg Original commission request was made on her Vanillakitsune DA account which has now been deactivated. I have placed screencaps of what conversation I could get, they are in the explanation. EXPLAIN: I have been a customer wronged by Vani/Ash. At one point I thought we were on a very good level, enough to say we were sort of friends. While my situation has a better ending than most as I received a refund in the end, I will share it. I've wanted to share it for a long time but always felt the need to tip-toe around her feelings and her fans. I'm done hiding though, because her behaviour is not on. I was happy with my outcome, despite having to fight for it for so long. However, after seeing her open more commissions, well, that angered me! I feel upset and sorry for the people who are still waiting, and those new commissioners who have no idea. I commissioned Ash on August 5th, 2009, this was on her VanillaKitsune DA account. She was wanting to save up for some ragdoll cats. Her art was an inspiration and I think this was around the time we were acquaintances. I ordered a chibi ($15) and a digital portrait ($50). I am a very trusting person and I really wanted to help. Full payment of $65 was sent upfront, I was extremely excited! Here is the payment proof http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/ashpayment-1.jpg A few months passed and I finally received a my chibi. It wasn't the highest quality of art (pencil sketch coloured in) but I still did enjoy it, hey I got art for one of my biggest inspirations, yipee! Here is the chibi commission http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/Art%20for%20me/Kyle/Kyle_Commish_by_Vanimute.jpg At this point I was pretty confident I will get my digital portrait soon. I waited.. and waited. Ash has changed accounts to Vanimute on DA so I found her there and watched her. I continued to see her upload new art (none being commissions) but still I waited patiently! I take commissions myself and understand that sometimes you don't have the right inspiration. I also kept into account she was in college. A while passed and I discovered she was active on FA under the name Vani, not only uploading personal art but.. taking more commissions? I made an account on FA just to follow her and wait, still very patiently though! It came to the point where she was continuously opening commissions, until finally making a journal about her to-do list/queue. The one we know ever so well http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643/ My commission is a year and a half overdue at this point, you would think I would be at the top of the list? I am all the way down the bottom! At this point I was done patiently and silently waiting. I voiced my feelings, albeit in the open but I think I had the right to. You can find the conversation here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2014394/#cid:16534744 I generally like to be a kind person and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, even after being told it was my responsibility to keep in touch with her. Also if you read her reply, it is full of excuses (valid or not) and not one apology to me (I ended up being the one apologising?). As a commissioner myself I feel it is my responsibility to let my commissioners know if there will be a delay, also at least have the decency to own up to your mistake, have some humility and apologise?? So after feeling like the bad guy, I noted her on FA, here is a print screen. Note how I am still very understanding! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash1.jpg Well, that note was never read. I couldn't understand? I was told to note her! I waited months for a reply, it still says in my outbox that it has not been read. So I sent another one, this time I did not sugar coat my feelings. I was done, this was unacceptable. She still had $50 of my money and not one apology. Here is the note http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm46/keshikins/stuff/Ash2.jpg After this on not being read, I discovered I have to email her school account? Awesome! So far we have gone from Vanillakitsune@DA, Vanimute@da, Vani@FA (all of which have been abandoned) and now her school email. I sent the same message to her but via email. To my surprise I got a reply. I got an apology, we worked out what I wanted. I gave her 5 different characters to choose from. All different species and levels of fun in hopes this would be helpful. In these emails I reverted back to being kind and understanding, hoping to not upset her. I understood she was stressed and made a mistake and honestly didn't want to ruin any chances of receiving my art. This was the 7th/8th of June 2011. I received an update 2 weeks later, with some sketches. Awesome, it looked like we were getting somewhere. I replied saying I liked them, thanked her and hoped for her to continue. 2 months I waited, and sent her an email wondering what was going on. I didn't receive a reply. This is getting quite long, I promise it ends soon! I then discovered her on TUMBLR. We are so far away from commissioning her on Vanillakitsune. Tumblr has an ask system so some months after the email I sent, I sent an ask about it. I don't have records of what was sent, but I expressed my unhappiness again and stated this was unfair. I was told since I found it unfair I would get a refund. If I remember correctly a few weeks passed and I had to send her an ask again! This time the reply I got was her paypal email, telling me to send her an invoice for the refund and that she would have it by the end of the week. I sent it on the 6th of December. I received the refund 2 weeks later, on the 20th of December, 2011. I commissioned her on the 5th of August, 2009. I am happy I got a refund, although it took a look of persistence. I remained nice and understanding the majority of the time. Forgave her constantly and chased her around the internet. While I finally got my money back, so many others are not this lucky! More of us need to share our stories. People need to know that commissioning Ash is a bad idea. We need to stop being scared of her fans and hurting her feelings. She may have nice art and be popular, but not saying anything in public seems to be allowing this behaviour. She has run away with hundreds (maybe thousands?) of dollars, and continues to do nothing to right her wrongs but rather make it worse! Hopefully one day this will end. I hope that she can change her ways, own up and make up for her mistakes and complete any overdue art/refund people. It will take some time but she has dug this hole and continues to to this very day! You can only be supportive and forgiving for so long before enough is enough.
  7. Mar. 13th, 2012 at 9:23 AM ariakitty WHO: Vani/Vanimute/Vanilla Kitsune WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vani/ WHAT: Two icon commissions, cost $24 (The total was actually $25.03 because she requested that I cover the paypal fees. I sent $26 just so the number would be even. I am aware that you're not supposed to pay extra to cover the fees but at the time I didn't know this.) WHEN: Payment sent March 21, 2010 Proof of payment. PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1284224/ Journal where commissions were offered. (March 21, 2010) EXPLAIN: I commissioned Vani for two icons in March 2010. In the journal she does state that she wouldn't be getting to these specific commissions until May. So I did not expect to see anything until the summer/fall of that year. There was really no concise list of her current commission queue, but in the journal where she offered these commissions she made it seem like she didn't have that many to do. Around December 2010 she posted her commission queue: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1953643 I kicked myself when I saw how massive her queue was, had I known she owed that many commissions I wouldn’t have commissioned her in the first place. A year goes by and I figure it's time to contact her and inquire about the status of my commission. I tried to contact her through FA on June 28, 2011. The note was never read. So on September 19 I sent her an email, I never received a reply. (I can provide screens of the email and the note but I wasn't sure if that was necessary.) Her tumblr is active and she has a new DA page with new art posted: http://stripesandteeth.tumblr.com/ http://maplemutesandtea.tumblr.com/ (not as active) http://www.stripes-and-teeth.deviantart.com/ I don't really know how much of it is commission work and how much is personal work. I didn't start to worry until I saw a question that she answered on her tumblr about why she left DA and FA. On September 23 I sent her a note through her maplemutesandtea tumblr and I did receive a reply. I responded back telling her I'd be happy to wait for the art as long as communication between us was good. Needless to say, I did not get a response to my second note. (I would provide proof of that but tumblr doesn't keep a record of sent 'asks'.) February, 29 I decided to try to contact her again through tumblr. I forgot to take a screen of it before I sent it off. But I had asked her how things were going and if she needed refs. I figured after almost 2 years she probably didn't have my character refs anymore. She has not responded to that note. On March 11 she posted to her tumblr offering more commissions. I’m a little disappointed. She has a queue of 50+ commissions that she hasn’t made good on, yet she’s taking on more work. I'm glad to see that she won't accept payment until the commission is finished but... What about the rest of us? Vani is a talented artist and I really hate to see her dig herself into such a deep hole. I didn't want to make an A_B entry about anyone, let alone Vani. She took on more work than she could handle and I know she's very stressed about it. But I wish she would communicate with me. I am patient and I am willing to wait quite a while as long as the artist stays in touch. I sincerely hope this can be marked as resolved someday.
  8. Mar. 9th, 2012 at 2:02 AM heathermasanon I need a little bit of etiquette advice. Over a year ago I commissioned an artist on Gaia for a painted, full body couple piece. I paid half ($80) upon the delivery of a rough sketch, with the agreement that I would pay the other half after she got the flat colours for the second character down, and have only received one completed part of the commission (one character, the other still in a sketch state. I was never asked to send the second half of the payment during my correspondence with her). Since then I have not been able to get in contact with the artist, despite numerous attempts on my part. They've clearly been around, and are using the completed part of my commission as an art example, stating that it's a finished commission. They're even using it as an icon for their deviantart account. Now, I've long since given up on attempting to get in contact with the artist, since it's fully clear they're ignoring me and I don't know what else I can do, but my question is this: Since I technically paid for this half finished commission (her price for one painted full body was $80), and since she's using it as an example for further commissions, do I have the right to use the image? It just feels really weird to me. It can stand alone as a single character piece, but I know it isn't, and it technically wasn't what I commissioned her for. I do like what has been finished, and would like to include it in my art references for the character. I just feel like it might be weird. :/ [edit] So at the advice of commenters, here is the full beware. WHO chatelain (Gaia)/chambrae (deviantart) WHAT A full-body painted piece of my two characters WHEN February 20, 2011 - Present PROOF Paypal receipt (I was wrong, it was $85... her current prices are listed at $80.) Her art shop, where she is clearly displaying the image as both an art example and a link-back button. When I sent the first payment/received the prelimenary sketch What I've received so far The last contact I have had with her. DeviantArt note I sent her, with proof that she has read it but has not responded. Unfortunately, Gaia seems to have deleted my sent folder (I don't use it very much, haha), so I don't have any proof of any other messages I have sent her. She has also posted a dA journal, updated her Gaia shop, and even finished another commission in the mean time. I would just like either the other have of my commission or the commission closed. Any correspondance at all would be welcome, really... I sent her an e-mail notifying her I would be posting about her here, and also mentioned that once we have resolved the issue I'll mark it as such.
  9. Feb. 28th, 2012 at 10:16 PM jazminbunni WHO: Zillford, an artist located on Furaffinty and InkBunny as well. I am not certain if he is active anywhere else. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zillford / http://inkbunny.net/Zillford WHERE: Located on FA at http://furaffinity.net/user/zillford , this is the primary site of business that I encounter him at. All activity on his account located on FA seems to have stopped as well, his latest submission was on January 24th, 2:15PM, 2012, his last favourite was on January 19th, 8:51 AM, 2012, and his last journal was posted on January 10th, 2012 01:16 PM. There also appears to be at least one other having similar concern based on comments they have posted on Zillford's wall. This may dissappear due to any new comments pushing them out of sight. I will screen cap it and can post if it is requested. EXPLAIN: I commissioned Zillford back on the 12th of December, and agreed to pay in advance for a digital line art piece. I paid $60 up front to make sure I had a spot on his commission line. Near the end of December I curiously sent Zillford an email asking if any progress had been made or not. I could not find a reply back to it in any box of my email account so I cannot verify if there was a response to this particular email. I made a followup note to him on FA and Zillford explained that my commission details possibly were misplaced, but he had found them and was going to put me in front on the production line. I made a third note asking how things were going on January 23rd, and his response was that it was one of the day's must-do pictures. My last email sent to Zillford asking about the status of the commission was on February 20th, 70 days from the day after payment was verified until the last email was sent. It appears that Zillford is inactive on FA currently. I would just like to have it completed and hopefully work out something to have it coloured later on. I am not mad at the artist, but I am concerned by the lack of communication. **UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012]: ** Another member on FA had found out that the artist Zillford had made an account on DeviantArt, and was being active on that site, and for what it appears, has abandoned his FA page. URL to DeviantArt found here: http://zillford.deviantart.com/ Screenshot of Zillford's FA Wall, showing comment linking to new DA Page (April 3rd, 2012 1:04AM EST): http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii166/jazminbunni/Artist%20Beware%20Links/Zilford_Moved_To_DA.png Screenshot of my comment on Zillford's new DA wall asking for a status request regarding the commission. I cannot say that that are from others regarding art or other issues, or just simply wall spammers. But do note the censoring. I will watch to see if my comment disappears or not.* I have sent a second inquery email regarding the commission to both his business emails as well as noting him on FA. I will be sending a copy of this inquery email to his DA in a day if there has been no response. Once again, I remain hopeful that the situation can be salvaged. ^_^ ** END UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** ** EXTRA UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** No sooner had I posted my first update to this Beware journal and hit refresh on Zillford's DeviantArt page, my comment had been hidden by the page owner (Zillford). Screenshot showing comment has been hidden from view. (April 3rd, 2012 1:16AM): http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii166/jazminbunni/Artist%20Beware%20Links/Comment_Immediately_Censored.png So it seems he at least now knows I have asked about the commision, but has hidden the question from his page. What am I supposed to do now? :S ** END UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012] ** **3rd UPDATE [April 3rd, 2012]** As my original comment was removed, I had posted a second comment asking to please check his email. 10. Feb. 13th, 2012 at 5:01 PM jagagreyfox WHO: Vella C. Raptor on Furaffinity WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/vellacraptor and Email WHAT: Very old digital art commission from October 2011. WHEN: Paid in October 2011 PROOF: Her art que that I have been at the top of sense October, NO progress on my image sense then: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AjIe-vKisy0idEpuUjhpczFBakVnUWkzRjY4T19kWnc&single=true&gid=0&output=html Our original agreement that was NEVER started so I ended up changing it with her full permission shown in the screen shot after this one: http://tinypic.com/r/296knwi/5 Here is my commission change where she tried to charge me more after agreeing CLEARLY in the screen shot above to color the image how I had my previous commission done: http://tinypic.com/r/16ibuw/5 Our talk after I responded to her trying to change what she had promised: http://tinypic.com/r/14bqhhy/5 at this point im super annoyed. The due date she promised to me: http://tinypic.com/r/25a2lo1/5 her excuse last month promising the commission before Jan was over. How could mine not get done when she posted random art and other commissions almost every other day? (view her gallery for more dates): http://tinypic.com/r/aka5np/5 message I sent her a week ago never opened when I see she leaves comments on others daily so I have been ignored: http://tinypic.com/r/mbidsj/5 So i decided to email her, it took a week as well to get the email response. And it was not a very nice response either. She talked to me as If she would be doing me a favor putting my art with her Christmas art...when my commission was supposed to be a gift in OCTOBER that I told her about multiple times, and she continues to ignore that acting like its a HUGE favor to allow my commission to go with over due Christmas art. She also previously gave me multiple due dates and such as listed above, NO progress images were ever given. Personal art and other art continues, but my art once again was the piece that magically vanished with her computer issue story. http://tinypic.com/r/ka0lrb/5 VERY annoyed customer. EXPLAIN: I asked her multiple times about it and she never responds, got two responses, one trying to charge me more money for what I already paid for going against our agreed price She told me that she did not agree to it, when I proved the message to her she simply said oh ok and let it at that. Have not heard from her at all, trying to get a hold of her. I paid her 6$ up front and was planning on giving her 15 more after the art was done, but at this point im not sure its even worth it. She has done other commissions over mine over and over again. No progress on mine. I am annoyed especially because i was her original first commission on FA and she was great for it, and she has treated me very poorly as a repeat customer.
  11. Feb. 5th, 2012 at 11:56 PM naughtykitsune Who: Shiroiyuki Where: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shiroiyuki/ What: A full colored commission When: Going on for close to a year now Explain: Well in October I was recommended by a friend to check out her art which I did and I brought a commission from her at the time because she was open and had reasonable prices. So she posted a journal (which she deleted) saying she was giving a special on pics for $25. this my transaction http://imageshack.us/f/838/incidentone.jpg/ pg/) this is what i asked for http://imageshack.us/f/826/incident2.jpg/. So I brought a spot. She posted a journal right afterwards saying she was depressed and having an art block. I decided to wait because people have that problem. this was posted afterwards http://imageshack.us/f/252/incident3.jpg/ In November I got tired of waiting and looked at her Commission Queue to my surprise my name wasn't there for a commission so I contacted her which went well and reasonable. So after a few days (again...) a new journal was posted saying she was taking new art and such. So then of course another journal posted about an art block. Later that week other people art was posted and still my name wasn't added to the queue. So I was fed up with it and filed a refund because I was tired of waiting and being ignored. So of course instead a well way to settle stuff in a mature manner I got a rage note saying "No I'm not refunding you your money its not my problem this was well hard earn money so don't give me the BS''. She made threats to me as well saying she was going to sue me.shown here http://imageshack.us/f/545/incident5.jpg/ . Let me point out that I got no update on my art so I went to my bank who is set up with paypal and filed a dispute for my money back because I felt scammed and the fact my bank had a flag with her info . She later posted a journal calling me a rude uncalled for name and deleting it due to her getting raged at for speaking to her clients that way. Later along in the year she is posting pictures of stuff she buying and then writing journals later asking for money. This new year she has decided to start on people art but still has an attitude issue where is uses very rude language in her terms and commission queues. shown here (hhttp://imageshack.us/f/850/incident4.jpg/ Recently she has went MIA from her account with more people money she begged for a tablet and she has left her account without doing people art. shown here http://imageshack.us/f/600/scammerza.jpg/ She recently returned with pics of tattoos she has gotten along with a journal full of rage against those who were very unhappy with her taking too long and felt she used the commission money she owe to get the tattoos http://imageshack.us/f/268/rudeness.jpg/ This issue has been resolve. She has refunded my money so no need to comment here anymore.
  12. Feb. 10th, 2012 at 2:36 AM alex_dachshund I really hate to do this, and I'm really nervous doing so, but I feel it must be done to get what I am owed. :/ I am not angry at the artist, I am just concerned and worried. I am posting this because I have received little to no updates about her half of our trade, and I have seen no WIPs. WHO: Sciggles WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sciggles WHAT: A fullcolored fullbody NSFW pinup in exchange for Tamagotchis.WHEN: The trade was accepted on August 18th, 2011.PROOF: The journal that she had made stating she wanted Tamagotchis in exchange for art has since been deleted but I do have the notes. I cannot remember, as the journal had been deleted, but I think she had told me to note her the info, so I did, as shown below: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) EXPLAIN: Sciggles made a journal one evening back in August saying she felt nostalgic and felt like collecting virtual pets again. She said she, in particular, wanted the original Tamagotchis or any knock-offs of them, and that she would be willing to draw art for those that sent her any. I myself have a rather large collection of digital keychain virtual pets like Tamagotchis and Giga Pets, so I was more than happy to volunteer. I had a few that I wouldn't have mind sending since a few of them no longer worked (but she said that was fine if I sent those anyway). So I took some photos of what I had, showed them to her, and she picked out the ones she liked and wanted. I sent her these notes regarding what I wanted: Me contacting her and her response: http://oi39.tinypic.com/14jujxh.jpg (August 18th) Me giving her my and my boyfriend's refs: http://oi42.tinypic.com/658spl.jpg (August 18th) At the time, I was dating ChristianWolf on FurAffinity, and I wanted an adult picture of his fursona and mine doing something very NSFW, haha. I wasn't too picky, as long as I got what I was owed. Sciggles confirmed it was alright with her so I shipped the Tamas as soon as I could. Me informing her I had shipped the Tamagotchis: http://oi44.tinypic.com/208i2jb.jpg (August 23rd) Sciggles informing me that they arrived safely: http://oi43.tinypic.com/3582cud.jpg (August 30th) After a while, some time had passed. I decided to politely poke her for an update: http://oi41.tinypic.com/15q3jph.jpg (October 31st) She responded that she had a lot on her plate, and I was cool with it and thanked her for the update. Around December, my boyfriend and I broke up, so I sent her a note to say that we're no longer together and I didn't want the pic of us anymore, but to do something else instead of the two-character pic I wanted originally. Note here: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14ncj80.jpg (December 23rd) Some more time passed. I went to her profile and saw this journal where she said she is thinking about opening for more commissions: Journal: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2rgko0n.jpg (February 1st) I felt really frustrated that I saw that she was going to open for more commissions when she hasn't finished my drawing, so I sent her an e-mail since it said now on her profile to e-mail her about art: E-mail: http://oi41.tinypic.com/dzckcy.jpg (February 3rd) The e-mail has NOT been responded to. After a few days I leave a shout on her userpage reminding her that I had indeed e-mailed her: Shout: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2j0k02a.jpg (February 10th) EDIT: She left a shout on my page: http://oi39.tinypic.com/eq8qdd.jpg I am just really unsure what to do at this point. She has not replied to my last e-mail, BUT she has certainly been active on her FA account, posting journals, submissions, and posting LiveStreaming notices. I am not mad at her at all, just frustrated and a bit worried. I have seen NO WIPS at all of what she promised me, so that leads me to believe that she hasn't even started it yet. EDIT 2/12: She sent me this e-mail: http://oi40.tinypic.com/2h2qips.jpg My reply: http://oi42.tinypic.com/25rf1o4.jpg I replied, and she sent me this nasty snarky e-mail afterwards: http://oi41.tinypic.com/jr5mio.jpg My reply: http://oi40.tinypic.com/3161aas.jpg EDIT 2: She's going to mail them tomorrow. Will update once I receive them. EDIT 2/16: I have received the Tamagotchis in the mail. They arrived safely and all of them are there. I consider the matter resolved. http://oi42.tinypic.com/1567rlu.jpg I have also Unwatched and blocked the artist. Will never do business with her again. VERY annoyed customer. I hope I don't come off as pestering her for updates...I am just really concerned since she has not really contacted me at all about this. She has NOT been rude to me, she's been polite through the entire thing and I think she's not the type to scam people, but I'm just left in the dark about what I'm owed. :( I hope she sees this and fixes the problem.

  14. Feb. 2nd, 2012 at 3:40 PM ryunwoofie Who: Sviperin (original account I dealt with), squidmnd, Ms.Delicious Where: Furaffinity.net When: Little before February 16th, 2010 What: Trade, traditional badge Info: Unfortunately most records of the earlier transaction have been deleted so I apologize about that. Anyway, about two years ago I posted a journal asking to do some traditional badge trades. That post has been since deleted for I don't keep my journals for long after I tend to finish what is on them. Sviprein and a few others inquired. I was really into Sivperin's character so I was excited to do so. It took a week or two to finish (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3431926/) and a little later it was laminated and mailed to her. I have since forgotten about it until a year later when I found out her account was compromised/hacked and was banned. I honestly forgot after a while then contacted her on her new account Ms.Delicious. First Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000pk75 After I contacted her I waited patiently since October 12th, 2011 with new information about what I wanted done. Since then she said she was busy with school, which I can relate. But since then she has pumped out a lot of icons and other commission related stuff so I once again inquired about the deal. At this point I was a little miffed that she kept keeping my trade off at this point. I tried to ask for something smaller and easier for I just wanted something/anything at this point. Second Contact Note(s): http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000szz5 After I noted her the last straw and the final idea/info she put immediately posted a journal stating she was going on hiatus. I myself find it very suspicious and rude.. She read my last note but has not responded. At this point I have no idea if she'll just account hop again and avoid things. I just wanted to put this out there for others to see. Journal time stamp screenshot w/ profile spammed w/ 'HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS HIATUS' : http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000r3wp Originally I had NO intentions of making an A_B about this trade until she decided to be immature and run away on a "hiatus" with no response or good reason... Very very disappointed. Edit 1: Got a response http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000trt9 Will update if she follows through. Edit 2: Resolved. I'm sad that it had to come through here first, but I'm glad I got something from it. Thanks. :3 Edit 3: Final 'apology' and image http://pics.livejournal.com/ryunwoofie/pic/0000wktk http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7336256
  15. Jan. 31st, 2012 at 12:06 PM arctic_wuff WHO: orthan WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/orthan WHAT: 2 character commission paid in full up-front. WHEN: Payment was made May 1, 2010 with commission details and such being discussed at the end of April 2010. PROOF: Other than the FA notes, work was never started. See screen captures under cut EXPLAIN: I don’t have all the logs any longer (had a harddrive failure), but after paying the artist in May I agreed to wait until June 2010 for the work. Then artist requested more time and I allowed that. After that point getting a hold of the artist became very difficult and replies seemed to stop coming. I have requested a refund from the artist and have seen nothing yet. Unfortunately the paypal buyer protection time had passed so I was unable to file for a refund with paypal. RESOLVED: After getting a hold of the artist again I was able to get a refund.
  16. Jan. 24th, 2012 at 1:42 AM nedrae WHO: Shizuki/Chevi. She apparently already had a beware, but I didn't know of this community back when this started.WHERE: FurAffinityWHAT: Full-body color, one character, $60. Here are her current terms and conditions, but I don't know if they have been changed in the interim and I didn't save a copy. What I do remember is that the no-refunds clause wasn't there, but unfortunately I have no proof. WHEN: Initial note sent on FA on July 18th, 2010, payment made the next day, mutually agreed deadline of early November 2010.PROOF: Full album. (Screenshots in chronological order, same as below) EXPLAIN: The full album, in detail. This is almost all of our communication, except for some of my replies acknowledging her notes, and which she usually quoted anyway: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#1o Initial contact http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#2o Paypal was being stupid to me http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#3o A friend helps me out and pays in my behalf, I pay him back here http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#4o http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#5o My friend had talked to her about this. She was okay with this and let me know I could go ahead with the request. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#6o e-mail with the commission details. Not blurred because meh, and her e-mail address is public already. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#7o She got my email. I assume she was okay with it (the only complicated bit was somewhat large wings for the character, but I made it clear that they weren't necessary) http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#8o She says deadline won't be met. That's alright, it happens and I understand and hope she gets it all sorted out soon. I responded saying it was fine and to keep me in the loop. Then I admittedly let it slip for a while, and she didn't respond until I sent her another note on February 2011. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#9o I got pushed into her immediate to-do list apparently. In retrospect I should have taken that refund at this point. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#10o Got this at the end of March, she said it'd be done during April, offered me a free icon but I didn't care about it. I just replied saying I didn't see the need for changes, though I hadn't seen a sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#11o July 9th. Again in the immediate to-do list. Promised to contact me on the 20th, or if not, done by early August. July 20th came by and I didn't see anything. Kept waiting. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#12o Sent on August 30th, more things had happened, offered free stuff again (that I ignored because I was focused on my actual commission). Sketch real soon she says. At this point it's been over a year since our first contact and payment. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#13o Apparently this was sent to all of the people she owed art to. My response is here: http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#14o. The link at the end of her note is this: http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm313/cheviart/Commissions/wheredoIgo.png http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#15o She acknowledges. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#16o Three months later I ask her again. She thought I asked for a deadline of December 15th when I had actually said mid-november. More than a year since the original deadline. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#17o She says she mixed up the dates, apologizes about the lack of a sketch (almost a year and a half now), and promises finished art (i.e. not a sketch, and what I assumed would be the final art with no possibility of change) by the 19th. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#18o I am an idiot and agree to the finished art instead of pushing for the sketch. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#19o As soon as she's on break I'm her top priority. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#20o December 21st and I haven't seen anything yet, now she says it'll be done before the end of the month. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#21o Mini-update on the 30th, it won't be done by new year, but she says she'll try to get it done before she returns to school on the 9th, and asks if any changes need to be made. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#22o My reply, can't ask for changes if I haven't even seen the sketch yet. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#23o January 20th, this is when I seriously started considering writing this whole thing, and I think it shows. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#24o I made a mistake, corrected http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#25o She is aware of how long I've been waiting. Says stuff will come out during the weekend. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#26o Apparently I misplaced those two files in the interim. http://min.us/mNKxX8T9K#27o Sent the files by e-mail and also uploaded to min.us And today is the 24th, and I haven't seen anything at all. TL;DR Commission paid on July 2010, agreed on a deadline of early November 2010, commission kept being pushed back and in almost 18 months she has been unable to produce a single sketch. Meanwhile Until today, her commission account's gallery has 165 submissions since the date of my original deadline (October 31st, 2010). So yeah I'm a bit miffed. EDIT: Earlier today (April 4th 2012) I received the finished art from her after a couple of rounds of sketches and corrections, I'll contact a mod shortly to mark this post as resolved.

On August 30th 2011 I messaged Feltified after being referred by a friend, and completely fell in love with their creations. I instantly sent a note asking about commissions, as seen in the first screencap below. The entire conversation can be read. After the second screencap, I haven't heard from them since. I've sent 5-6 notes on FA and some shouts on their page and even a couple of Etsy messages, but it seems they just read my notes and don't respond. PROOF: Convo 1 (Read from top down) Payment Convo 2 What's changed from last time: I've sent a few more messages, however this time they have gone unread in the FA outbox. It seems as though they are ignoring me completely. I also sent a couple of messages on Etsy, which I KNOW they're active on, due to the most recent feedback left. seen here: http://www.etsy.com/people/Feltified/feedback?type=for_others I'm changing the status from "lost contact" to "Beware."
  18. Jan. 17th, 2012 at 3:18 AM kiba_lutrova This is my first post here so please forgive me if its not as informative or as well written as others. WHO: Calanon WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/calanon/ WHAT: I ordered 3 waist up commissions from Calanon and as of yet have received no progress. WHEN: This started around mid-July, this note having been completed on July 18th http://i.imgur.com/EIUhQ.png (paypal blurred out for privacy reasons) and from that point we exchanged a few more notes, with the next few notes being more of the same, getting a reply here and there but not often, with my notes being weeks/months apart http://i.imgur.com/9Xy3o.png PROOF: My paypal receipt as follows (with personal information blurred) http://i.imgur.com/IK0DQ.png EXPLAIN: As stated in the above comments, I have tried to be patient for months and months now, only sending a note every few weeks or months at times, sometimes I got a reply, sometimes I didnt. It's not that i'm impatient, i've waited longer than this for pictures from friends that involved no money. But having paid for 3 pictures well over 6 months ago and still nothing really bothers me. Not only that but they also posted pictures that other people bought when they originally put up a journal for these commissions http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2515899/ They posted a few pictures such as http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6145146/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6183808/ shortly after the journal was up then stopped for a while, 2 months later finishing a few more http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6505015/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6486663/ After finishing more commissions they have all but ceased activity on furaffinity, with some people leaving shouts asking about their own commissions as well as me, since then they have closed their deviantart account - http://raven-greiver.deviantart.com/ and facebook account - http://www.facebook.com/Raven Greiver and has not responded to current notes awaiting to be read. Although they have been active on their steam account http://steamcommunity.com/id/BlackLiightning which tells me they are still around but not paying attention to those of us on FA asking for a status update. All of the above accounts are linked from their FA account under contact information. I don't know what to do at this point to either try to keep in contact and try to get my commissions or ask for a refund, its been over 90 days so I don't think I can request a paypal refund from the website. EDIT: She got back in contact with me today and has a new FA account and says she will be doing all the commissions that she has taken the few months ago now. So anyone that ordered a commission from her, her new account is posted on her FA page and is awaiting details from anyone who commissioned her in the past few months. I appreciate the feedback I got on behalf of this entry and thank you to everyone who helped out with this.

Jan. 11th, 2012 at 3:10 PM wolfy_chan WHO: AutumnHoney on DA (previously known as Xx-Manda-Panda-xX on DA) WHERE:(new)http://autumnhoney.deviantart.com/ (old)http://xx-manda-panda-xx.deviantart.com/ WHAT: Custom costume hat to be made specifically by October, 2010 (for convention purposes) WHEN: July 5th, 2010 - Inquired about a custom hat commission, she seemed delighted about the project. Back and forth responses about the design and pricing for a few days. I asked that this project be finished before early October 2010 since I wanted to wear it to a convention, she agrees says it will be around 40USD so I send her references. July 7th, 2010 - She replies with the price of 60USD for the custom changes which was A OK with me. July 10th, 2010 - Sent the required amount via paypal. Payment was received with no problems. July 11th, 2010 - Set up a Skype movie conversation with her so she could show me the fabrics she bought for the project. They looked awesome and I gave her the OK to start. August 22nd, 2010 - Sent a polite PM asking how everything is going. No response. September 16th, 2010 - Sent her another PM asking if everything is okay. No response. October 10th-31st - I leave multiple messages on her dash, spaced out a few weeks in between to ask how everything is and to finally ask for a refund. No response to any of them and every message was 'hidden by owner'. November 27th 2010 - Way past due date with no responses to DA PMs, I email her politely asking for a refund, saying I will leave a negative review on her DA dash to warn further customers if she doesn't respond. No response. February 1st, 2011 - I have not tried to contact her since the last email, leaving another post on her dash. No response, 'hidden by owner'. February 22nd, 2011 - She closes her DA account. I leave another message, no response and hides it, reiterates closing the account in May, 2011. January 9th, 2012 - Somehow I remember about all of this and make an effort to see if this person is still on DA somewhere and I end up finding her. I contact her once more asking for a refund and stating I will post negative reviews on her business webpages if she does not refund me. She FINALLY responds saying that I have been 'harassing' her and will refund me but 'don't deserve it'. She has the gall to also say that she has 'tried to contact me' multiple times when I have not seen any sort of initiative to do so. PROOF: Response to the inquiry about a commission via DA PM on July 5th; Paypal payment sent July 10th, 2010; Name change on their paypal clarifies it's them on DA. The paypal notice used to be under their old name. (detail on that in explanation) EXPLAIN: Ugh, okay. Let me be the first to say that I am normally a very patient person when it comes to commissioning things. I myself am an artist and I take commission work regularly, so I know all about commission woes and the such-- but it pisses me off to no end when you get no response for months and YEARS at this point only to find out they moved to a new account then try to say they contacted you multiple times when I have gotten NOTHING of the sort for years. As the timeline states above, I commissioned Manda-Panda on July 5th 2010 to do a custom hat for me and they seemed thrilled to pieces to do it. Price was set, I paypaled them promptly and everything seemed to be going fine. We even set up a skype conversation and she showed me on a webcam all of the materials she bought to make it and they all looked awesome. We agreed it would be done by October so I could wear it to a convention where I was going to sell my artwork in costume. Time goes by and I don't hear anything about updates or progress, so I send another friendly poke. PMs were sent as followed; (this pm was longer than one line, posting it here) October rolls around and I hear nothing back. When your sent PMs are read by the recipent, they turn light green as they did in the screenshot, so I know she read them. I poke her on her DeviantArt Dash to check her pms to respond to me, of which messages she hides or has hidden since then. None of them were nasty posts, just enough information to warn others that I was not given the commission work she promised me and that she had yet to refund me. As I myself am someone who does commission work, I am thoroughly bonded and branded with the business etiquette of it. Every post that was hidden and wasn't responded to was as polite as they could be, asking for a refund and a response and nothing more. In November I send her an email asking for a refund and a small warning that I will leave negative feedback yet again if she doesn't respond to me; I will admit I did sound a bit brash when I threatened to expose her name and misconduct on journals of my websites, but for the life of me she would not respond to anything! She even CLOSES her DA account and apparently wipes off the face of the earth. Finally I say to myself, 'you know what? sixty bucks isn't worth the hassle, I'll forget about it'. ...That is until I found out she had made a new account completely, under the name of AutumnHoney. I know that that is her new account because my paypal statement shows this new name in my history. Loe and behold, same icon, same merchandise on the DA page, and the kicker is that they are taking commissions! I'm passed peeved at this point and do send a harsh PM at this point (not within reason) that states I will in fact post everything to my webpages and make an article on A_B if she does not refund me. Here is what follows; Her reply: My response: I am just... Beyond baffled. Where is said replies? None to my email, none to my DA PMs, I am just -floored- they even responded like that. I said I would not post of this ordeal anywhere until we are finally resolved but I am just blown away by everything that has gone on and this is too ridiculous to keep in the dark. I know I look really bad posting this anyways and using a threat like that. I will admit that I was in the wrong for lashing out myself, but I was beyond furious and will take any slack that comes from that... But was I really in the wrong anywhere? waiting to post weeks and months and years after asking where my refund/product is? This is just a concerned warning for anyone that wants to deal with this person in the future. I can't see how this is all a 'huge mistake' because I have no proof in my inboxes for the past 2 years that they have tried to contact me before this. I'll update on this case if it progresses any further. UPDATE 1: Artist has yet again chose to read my message and has failed to reply with 'proof' that they have actually responded or did work on this project. I'll give it a few more days. UPDATE 2: They have finally paid me back. They did not reply or say anything, I just had money in my inbox today. It makes me think their spat was entirely made up and they never did anything. Just glad it's over. UPDATE 3: I heard back from the artist today saying that they have sent me messages and what's been going on. I feel very bad about their unfortunate things in their life and if I were to have heard about them in messages, I would have been patient and left it alone. Unfortunately I honestly don't know if the messages were actually sent or not and am waiting for a response. If this was a big miss-hap, count the entire thing as 'Resolved' and do not discredit their business over this. I just don't understand how I could not get 'so many PMs' since I get dozens and dozens from other users just fine.
  20. Jan. 8th, 2012 at 8:21 PM marblestheskunk This is an update of this: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/517601.html She came back to FA about two weeks ago, claiming she had NO POSSIBLE way to get internet access for the past 5 months [even though its only been 4 months since her last submission] and she had been giving people shouts and favs that I saw throughout this whole time, so I honestly don't believe it. And even so, she could have found a way to get up with her PAYING customers. Well, she FINALLY finished it, after I talked to her a few times asking her what was going on. I basically commented on one of her submissions to get her attention to finish it, it was personal art which she had been posting ONLY personal art in the past two weeks since she came back. So I commented on her newest submission and asked why was she drawing personal art instead of working on commissions. She proceeded to be very rude to me and was coming up with excuses. I told her it was her JOB to do what she was paid for and if she spent all the time that she had been doing personal art[I counted about 6 pieces since shes been back] then she could have gotten it done by now. The submission we talked on is still there but she has hidden all of our comments and I was not able to get a screencap before so but here it is: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7178207 Well she posted the submission of my commission a little bit later.. Submission: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7178585/ Screenshot in case she deletes it or changes the tags: http://oi43.tinypic.com/2czyrlu.jpg She even wrote in the TAGS of the submission that it was rushed [in a very rude way] I pretty much don't even want to use it now, she has left a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth and it makes me extremely weary to ever commission anyone I don't know again. This artist is extremely unprofessional and I would NOT recommend commissioning them.

When Toonpimp first found some of my sprites, he showed interest and wanted to make an adult game of it as of January 26, 2008[1]. I agreed to it and we started work on the game that was 6-bit Pixelforce. However, during halfway in on his part, he changes his mind and decides to make it an average 2D sidescroll shooter. The result of it: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1290130 which was a poorly put together small flash game completed on May 10, 2008. But because people were interested in my sprites that weren't used, I decided to start work on another game project. I did bring this up with Toonpimp, however, he outright refused unless paid. So I began a character auction primarily on here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/728773 on May 5, 2009. I did request of him to begin work on a demo of the game, but he was lazy about this. The demo was rushed and sloppily done with mismatched animations and several glitches. The worst part was that the game was unable to run on other computers[2]. The total he was financed for this project was a little over $390. But when I let him go, I asked for only $150 but is refusing because ‘I kept him waiting for two years’ and ‘wasted his time.’ Evidence is in the chat logs file in parts discussing money. All of this being discussed through the chats as when his paypal was deleted, all records of transactions with him were as well[2]. During this time working on Pixelforce, the chat logs reveal quite a bit of disturbing information that includes sexual harassment. He tries in many chats requests for naked pictures of me in order to do more work into the game. For a while, I thought he was joking although he has in time made evident he was serious. Every time I did bring up this game, he would often go on a rampage, even saying the game should fail. He goes as far to deny being paid as one of his Paypal accounts was deleted, because Paypal does not support porn based businesses[2]. While working on this project, I was given the chance to promote my game on his forum where he made evident his disinterest with this game and for a while people on his forum were not in support of my game because of that. I did have a sub-forum for my project as a new way of organizing the new games being developed all at once. When I let people know that I had let Toonpimp go, he retaliated by not only locking my sub-forum, but deleted it and noted me to leave his forum[4]. Before firing Toonpimp, I decided on a more tactful method that would not be too insulting…twice[5]. He claims that it was because of him just for his name and forum he was making the money I attained for this project and therefore refused to give a refund[3]. I gave him plenty of chances to try and turn things around, yet he only spat in my face telling me to get lost. I have been contacting everyone who has donated for this game and let them know of what has occurred so they can contact him about getting their money back. He is refusing and claiming to produce ‘his own version’ of the game[6]. tl;dr Toonpimp is a programmer that doesn’t give people what they pay for. If he doesn’t like a project, he charges extra, even when already commissioned and is refusing to give a refund after being fired and booted me off his forums. Only continuing to work to not give a refund. He gets angry easily when I bring the game up. Sexual harassment trying to solicit to doing more work as payment to get naked pictures. Does not keep in touch about project or updates unless threatened and does little work. Update Edit 03/15/12 Toonpimp and I had come to an agreement. That being he would give a partial refund on the conditions that I don't send people after him about a refund, leave his forum, and say nothing of him. I agreed and decided to wait. I did wait until February to contact him again for a refund, but he told me to simply leave him alone and he'd send the money when he gets it. I waited another month, and now I find he's blocked me on FA, deleted my account on his forum, and also telling other people that he won't do anything to pay up thus placing him under theft which apparently has happened multiple times in his career. Ironically enough, one of his reasons for blocking me was because of my posting our chat logs after I had fired him saying it was violating privacy, yet he fails to acknowledge the fact he showed someone that disliked him the game while under development and the guy threatened to release it as I mentioned in my article above. Or how he only intended to give me 'tools' to do this myself and him not to complete it, yet also said he planned on finishing the game himself even after I fired him, which almost landed an article of him under Artist Theft. Here's the 3 PMs, the first two from him and the third being from a contributor that contacted him since TP had me blocked. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/341/pmsj.png/ I'll keep updated with more evidence in time.
  22. Jan. 5th, 2012 at 5:31 PM mozz1 I have reason to believe I was scammed by an artist on Furaffinity It happened about year ago, I met with an artist online who was just starting out, but seemed promising. Me and him established a good friendship, and coincidentally we only live maybe 30 minutes away from each other. So we decided to meet up at a restaurant. We had a great time, and left on a really positive note. But before we left, I gave him 20 dollars cash for a color and ink commission. The artist in question is named Furinkazan, and here is his FA page: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/furinkazan/ Shortly after me and Furinkazan met in person, he began talking to me less and less on MSN, until he decided to eventually block me for reasons unknown. And for months, I could not get in touch with him. I tried sending him only a few PM's through FA just to see if he was still active, which he did not respond to. But I knew he was active, as he was favoriting others works, and occasionally posting his own. At that point I made a very grave mistake which I wholeheartedly regret doing and posted on Furinkazan's shout box something along the lines of: "Thanks for stealing 20 bucks from me" That shout was immediately deleted by him, and he left a shout on my page, marked a year ago, which you can see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mozz/ It says: "I never said I wouldn't finish your commission, so don't accuse me of stealing in a public arena when I've stolen nothing from you. If you have something to say, note me." Even though it was a bad idea, I figured now he was finally going to talk to me, I PM'ed him back, and the conversation is as follows: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm1.png So it would appear, it all worked out in the end. Well not quite. Even though we made up, I still never got any commission from him, but I did wish him happy holidays: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm2.png We then clarified what I wanted my commission to be: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm3.png And that was the last time we talked. He still blocked me from MSN, but he promised me that he was going to do the commission. A half a year passes, and still no commission from him. However I'm still being patient, and when his birthday comes around, I leave a shout on his page wishing him a happy birthday. He leaves a shout back on my page, which is still there that says: "Thanks! I'll have your stuff done soon, sorry it's taken so long." What I did next might have probably put him over the edge, and it was also something stupid I did that I regret doing. Last month on September 5th, I left a shout on his page saying "Happy one year anniversary that I still haven't got my commission! :D" Well that shout was quickly deleted, my name was removed from his owed commissions list, and I was blocked from his page entirely. I was not trying to start drama, I was merely stating that its been a year now, and I still don't have my commission. I completely went about it the wrong way So now a month later. At this point, I don't care if I don't get my commission, or if I don't get a refund, I just want the community to know that Furinkazan is a scam artist, and to not make the same mistake I did. I tried contacting several different FA administrators, but they all ignored me. Finally as my last step, I made a thread on the FA forums, and a few civil people there redirected me to Arists_beware, since it is quite clear from that thread, that they do not care that there is a scam artist still at large, and that I am the one at fault somehow, that I was harassing him. Here is a link to the thread in question: http://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/108723-Scam-artist-on-FA Well apparently from the thread the issue was resolved, at least for the moment. After much consideration, I gave furinkazan my home address so he can send the refund through the mail, as shown in this PM: http://qrf.servequake.com/~orl/misc/pm4.png Well it has been three months later, and I still have yet to receive that refund, which I kind of expected I wasn't going to receive. I admit completely, that there were moments where I should have handled the situation much more appropriately, and not have said some of the things I said. Unfortunately, I cannot take what I said back, but I did apologize for what I said, and understand it was wrong to do so. But I still feel that does not excuse the fact that it has been a year and a half that I paid this artist for a simple piece of artwork that I will never receive, plus the fact he probably has no plans on refunding my commission money.
  23. Jan. 4th, 2012 at 1:00 AM sciuraamethysta WHO: Kimhana on Livejournal and Deviantart; formerly kimhana on Tumblr, URL now taken by another user WHERE: Deviantart (since deactivated) found here WHAT: A $40 full color digital picture WHEN: The commission was discussed and paid for in full in September of 2010. Contact was made again to check in as of January 2011; over the next few months, various accounts of the artist began to deactivate (LJ and Tumblr, specifically). Numerous emails to multiple addresses were not responded to in August and September of 2011; as of December 2011, the artist's Deviantart account, where the commission was originally discussed, was deactivated. PROOF: A screenshot of the original commission is here (with discussion of the prompt interspersed with personal conversation blacked out for convenience of reading) and a corresponding Paypal screenshot with emails blacked out can be found here . EXPLAIN: It absolutely breaks my heart to do this, as Kimhana remains a favorite artist of mine. If anyone has any information on her, why she's been deactivating, etc, I would love to hear it. The fact that she's dropped off the face of the internet hurts far more than the possibility of losing a commission. From what I can understand, it seems that she switched fandoms and then proceeded to delete her old accounts. For now, this is the most logical series of events that I can piece together. Best case scenario, she's forgetful and the commission slipped her mind and got brushed under the rug as her interests changed. But in the end, if nothing changes, I have to strongly advise against commissioning her. RESOLVED - After a few messages, the last of which mentioned the posting here, she responded on Tumblr and was very apologetic. She offered me a number of options, including a full refund. I took her up on the refund, and she has delivered. Thank you all very much for helping me to resolve this old problem - I appreciate it. :) EDIT: Added Paypal information, clarified Tumblr address, and added links to dead pages. SECOND EDIT: Turns out the Tumblr I originally linked was, by an eerie coincidence, an entirely different person. Please disregard that. THIRD EDIT: Evidently she is indeed still very active on tumblr, but under the changed URL http://neophytecherryglare.tumblr.com/ . ...and asking for commissions. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
  24. I took my 15 year old granddaughter to her first fur con on October 28th. After circling the Dealers Den many times she commissioned this artist to do a badge of her fursona. She paid Zrcalo $15 cash for a gold badge. A photo was taken of her fursona and information was written down in their ledger, ie name, address, special details. Communications have all taken place afterwards on Twitter. I think the copies of this communication will speak for its self. As of today, Jan 7, 2019, the last communications I sent, Dec. 30, 2018, has been ignored by Zrcalo. At this point other furries have come forward to compensate my granddaughter with their kindness. I do not want anything from Zrcalo. I want others to be aware of their unprofessional business practice.
  25. screaminsiren (screaminsiren) wrote in artists_beware, @ 2018-11-27 11:13 Foxiful/ Laseros After waiting and waiting I have yet to receive any kind of payment or notification from her. WHERE: DA https://www.deviantart.com/laseros FA https://www.furaffinity.net/user/laseros/ WHAT: Digital Art WHEN: July, 30,2017 to Ongoing EXPLAIN: Alright so to start this was a wonderfully normal interaction between an artist and commissoner that desperately needed help. Hearing from a friend this person needed it I decided to do so and here are those interactions. https://sta.sh/21sj3oko36j0?edit=1 See? Normal. Now this is when it starts to get bad. I noted her after waiting till Jan of 2018 seeing I had heard nothing from her not even WIP's Then again in Mar seen below https://sta.sh/01lchc0oot1w This was never responded to. Now, carrying on I started noticing journals going out. Now, I understand crap happens and all but it became more strange when I kept seeing more and heard absolutely nothing about my commissioned piece back in July. I bought another piece in a small emergency journal https://sta.sh/21u1znxuq0b?edit=1 Not a problem! Was done live stream and everything! Ok! Awesome so waiting a bit longer I noticed more journals as seen below. https://sta.sh/21rdlvl91hrq?edit=1 https://sta.sh/01h6279lkmev So, waiting a bit longer I was finally added to her discord group and therefore was able to get in contact with her via the messenger https://sta.sh/21ypoz22u92p?edit=1 ( Read more... ) Here became a slow progression of feeling overwhelmed with having to gently ask what is going on every now and then. Finally after waiting for a long time with no response I officially gave her an apology and asked for a refund if not a partial as seen in the proof above After waiting and waiting I have yet to recieve any kind of payment or notification from her. This is still an ongoing problem.
